Excellent blend of spices used to make this delicious bed, the best in business and city, must visit
We have ordered mostly beef seekh kabab and chicken rolls and jumbo chicken roll during iftar. I specially liked the beef seekh kabab and chicken roll. Have not tried other food items yet. But this two i liked it a lot. Beef seekh kabab was really good and yummy. Made it really nicely and price was not cheap too. But worth it ... :)

Ask for the mambo rolls!!
The rolls are available in 4 different sizes. They are cooked perfectly. I doubt you can go wrong in ordering here, because everything is tasty. The roll has the signature smoky and charred taste, which elevates the taste of the already scrumptious beef sheekh kebab in the roll. Can't wait to go to Bangalore again
Excellent food and service. This is a must visit for lace for all foodies in Bangalore, finally a great food joint serving Biriyani and beef kebabs . Have the masala beef chops.
This is probably the best, most reasonably priced non veg joint in Bangalore. The rolls here are to die for, and beef is simply the best. No compromise on quality. I feel lack of words writing this review cos this place transcends what words can describe. Ambience may not be that good, but they oh so much more than make up for it in taste!
Located on the Richmond road near Johnson Market, this place is a heaven for the non-veg lovers with variety of awesome non veg dishes to try.I ordered a chicken Shawarma roll which tasted exquisite. The place gets extremely crowded during the ramzan days.
Chicken Shawarma - 5/5
Food Hopping In Richmond Town For Some Amazing Street Food And I Stumbled Across This Place, Fanoos.
I Tried The
1) Chicken Chilly Tikka Roll - Rs 85
2) Fanoos Chicken Roll - Rs 70
3) Beef Irani Seekh Roll - Rs 60
4) Mutton Chilly Roll - Rs 105
Absolutely Loved The Beef And Fanoos Chicken Roll They Are A Must Try Here.
Perfect Amount Of Spices In All Of Them.
They Also Have Crazy Size Options To Choose From. Regular, Jumbo, Mumbo, Rambo, Sambo And Mogambo Wherein Regular Is The Smallest One And Mogambo Is The Largest Size Option Available.
Fanoos has been around for ages and is popular mostly for its beef rolls and biryani. Of late they have diversified their menu choices but my favourites are still their beef kababs wrapped in roomali roti and their beef biryani. Ambience is just about OK and prices moderate. Would recommend.

Have been a Fanoos customer for 26 years now...so seems a bit late in the day to write a review. But anyway, here it goes:
1) FOOD - It's a non-vegetarian's paradise. Simply put - the food is no-frills delicious and awesomely soul-satisfying. The legendary rolls (Jumbo, Mambo, Rambo & Mogambo) are amazing and unique creations that also give excellent value for money. One should try out the other kebabs and the shawarma too...and also the flavorful desserts of Arabian origin.
2) AMBIENCE - The takeaway counters are usually jam-packed...but the food makes it worth the wait. The sight of the flying embers on the huge open grill with the countless skewers of marinaded meat is in itself a delightful thing to see. The sit down restaurant has an old world charm to it, though it may not have the slick look and feel of the more modern and upmarket High Street places. The service is efficient and quick and cleanliness and hygiene quite on par.
3) CUSTOMER FOCUS - The best part of the Fanoos experience, IMHO, is the passionate focus on customer satisfaction. Mr Shakir, of the 3rd generation of owners, seems ready to always go the extra mile to get a happy customer. I need to share a personal experience here: A few months ago, my brother and I were returning from Mumbai and our evening flight was delayed. We called the Fanoos number and wanted to check up-to what time they would remain open, so that we could pick up some food on the way back home from the airport. Mr Shakir picked up the phone and when he understood that we were flying down from Mumbai, assured us that he would keep our choice of rolls ready and waiting at the outlet however late it would be. We landed finally at Bangalore airport at 1030 pm and the first call I received was from Mr Shakir, checking if we had landed. He asked us to reach the Johnson Market outlet and even if the shutters were down, to knock. We eventually reached the place at 1145 pm and true to his word, the shop staff were waiting with 2 hot Mambo rolls for us. I have not experienced this kind of passionate customer service in a long long time.
All in all....this is a place that wins your your heart through your stomach...and for me at least, it has grown into an addiction that I have no intention of curing. And now that my kids are grown adults, they too have inherited this love of Fanoos and its culinary magic.
As I was looking around any restaurant for lunch found this place in busy traffic junction in Johnson market. I took beef biryani, chicken tikka and chicken kebab.i must say the quality and quantity of food was way better than I have tried from other restaurants price is also pocket friendly. Will sure come back for dine in and try there other items on menu.
Went to this childhood favourite of mine after many years. The place has been modified slightly but still retains the same old world charm. The names of the seekh rolls – Regular, Jumbo, Mumbo, Rambo, Sambo and Mogambo- never fail to amuse me. If you love the meat, go for the Mumbo roll as in my opinion it has the best rumali roti to meat ratio. The wait for dinner is soooo worth it! Wash the juicy roll down with a masala coke or nimbu soda from Madeena stores and you will be all set. A must go for meat lovers in the city!
Went to try the Iftaar food here.
The items that we had are as follows:
Samosa (beef, chicken, mutton) - chicken and mutton varieties were good, beef wasn't that great
Chicken Lolipop - good
Chicken Hariyali Stick - excellent
Chicken Shawarma - not good
Mutton Seekh Kabab - excellent
Irani tea - decent
Kulikki Sharbath - excellent
Overall, a good experience. 4/5
I'll be going there again next week to try the chops, rolls, haleem, and sweets. :)
There is no other outlet in Bngalore that can beat its Beef Sheek Roll, absolutely amazing! Also tried mutton haleem, especially available now in the month of Ramadan, and loved it. Wifey tried chilli beef roll and she loved that too. All in all a great place for a midnight bite.
Delicious sheek kabas and shawarma rolls. I prefer the chicken shawarma to the beef one in this place. It gets crowded in the evening but otherwise it's fine.
Known for its rolls and shawarma this place is pocket friendly and suitable for a quick bite .
Great quality and hygienically prepared food .
Always on my list for a quick bite
Fanoos- since the 1950’s!! So cool no... 😀
For me, Fanoos round 1 happened during the early 1990’s (I was in school then)!
Grew up eating Fanoos rolls, Biryani n kababs. 😃
Well, today, I ate
- Chicken Kababs
- Fanoos Special Chicken roll (friend chicken mince wrapped in a roomali roti, with some masala n onion)
- Ghee rice
They were all good. Old school Bangalorean will love Fanoos, always. The one next to Johnson market is super iconic. Cheers
Excellent services, I highly recommend everyone to order from Fanoos restaurant, I have almost tasted their complete menu, and everything is very perfect like taste wise or quantity wise, it just makes my day post having their food.🙏
food as always stays fresh ND tastes gud , onions were not provided which is quite odd .
Fanoos has been around longer than I have been around! Let’s just say several decades and stop there. Been here a million times, ahem, and my recurring order is always mutton sheek jumbo roll and a plate of mutton sheek. Tender, juicy, spicy, tasty! Mouth watering stuff! Wash it all down with a lime soda in the neighbouring stall and you have yourself a fabulous meal! Do try!
awesome since I started eating there since 2000

I have a lot of childhood memories associated with this place
One of my all time favorite Hangouts
The sheekh roll here is basically a staple for me
fresh, yumm and wallet friendly!
A legendary place to visit if you are a foodie at Bangalore.
The Chicken rolls, Shavarma n Kababs are phenominal.
Even a lassi bar is attached adjuscent.
The ambience could ve been a little better, not a very sophisticated place to dine with your family.
Have been a regular at Fanoos for the last 8 years and undoubtedly this is the best seekh kabab rolls in Bangalore. Taste has been the same but the crowds have reduced over years. This is clearly to do with the steep increase in pricing. 95 Bucks now for double seekh roll is a bit steep.
Jumbo, Mumbo, Rambo & Sambo!!!!
these are the names for the famous Sheek kabab rolls here... The taste is very special made of Secret Masala recipe which is maintained from years... Try Mutton... chicken... and Beef... Kebabs... The taste u will always remember!!!
Tuesday again its off confused noon for lunch where as its too sunny outside to go out and had lunch boring.. ordered for biriyani today from fanoos heard lots about them good but grevy they provide along with biriyani was not matching....
This is basically kind of starter place or if you want to have some sort of roll or kabab. Order beef seekh kabab and praise the place to give that kind of taste. I personally recommend chicken chilly roll and kababs.

Great taste, quality, quantity and Hygienic rolls and other food items..
Always have been best and will always be best in town..

Fanoos is the oldest sheek joint surviving till date successively competing its rivals. Been the best for authentic rolls and chops!
Over the years they have reduced the quantity of sheek for the price paid. Thats the only this disappointing. But the taste always wins the bet and brings you back often!✔
Undoubtedly you can have one of the best sheek rolls here, chicken rolls are good too but with time they haven't been able to maintain the same taste , however great for college bunch and if you want to have a quickie for just a few penny ;)
A great place for seekh kebab roles.
The meat in the role is fresh and grilled and healthy to consume. I like they don't load their rolls with mayo and other unhealthy sauces.
Just green chutney, mint leaves and Onion that goes into the rolls. You can actually taste the flavour of the meat.
Not a dine in place , there are some chairs and tables but not a clean place to sit and enjoy.
Parking is an issue here since it's on the main road.
Good food, great taste and price is also reasonable. Their sheekh kebab roll and shwarma roll is a must try.
One of my favourite places for their amazing seekh rolls. This outlet is the best in comparison to the other Fanoos locations. There seekh rolls are amazing and so are their other roll, kebabs and shawarma options. Reasonably price with good portion size. It's self service.

Best place for sheek rolls and kebabs. Beef chicken and mutton available. Parking on the street. Payment via cash card and upi accepted.
Mutton sheekh roll is the best I've ever had! Always a good experience here.
And old place I have visting from years. Good sheek rolls. Try the newly introduced blue tea
Small place but neat and clean. Service is fast. Food is good and reasonable. The best is the sheekh rolls. If you buy a jumbo roll, it's a medium lunch quantity.
If you are a non vegetarian lover and you need low budget food with taste , try this hotel
Good food.. very tasty.. eating there since school days and the taste remains the same.
Amazing sheekh kebabs as well as rolls is what you can get here. The prices are alright as well. Taste is really good. There is an option for beef on all dishes. Haleem is available as well and tasted good. Must try item on the menu is definitely the sheekh roll.
The actual OG of kheema roll, sheekh rolls and many more curated items, had a tiny conversation with the owner when we visited during odd hours when, dining was closed, he opened it for us and the service was quick, but the owner said that there are many people who have copied this, so prefer this than others cos this is where the legacy started! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Known for it's sheek kebabs, I tried it out after many years (Mambo and Sambo options). The veal kababs are also good. The biryani was just so and so. I would recommend occasionally stopping here and picking a sheek roll.
Very decent beef rolls, juicy beef sheek and chili beef. Well cooked and served with onion and mint chutney.
Iconic name....sheek and chicken rolls are simple and tasty making you long for another bite.....their shawarma and other chicken and beef delicacies are superb....seating area is available....price is alright for that occasional binge......
One of the best beef sheekh kebab rolls I have tasted

We had Chicken and Beef roll. The rolls we tasty. Could add some vegetables to it.. there were just little onions and meat. Most people would love that.. I like more fiber.. the beef kebab was oily.. but delicious. The boys working there were attentive and nice. Tables could be more cleaner. There is car parking and two wheeler parking.
