I will always remember Pecos Bangalore not because of how good the food was or the great background music - but more because of how dark it was!
I don't know if the intent was to maintain an environment that was so dark that couldn't tell who sat next to you or whether you received what you had ordered - but thankfully because it was tasty, food service was quick and the restaurant was empty on the Sunday afternoon I visited - I can say it was a good experience.
I definitely wouldn't want to be in such an ambience when it is packed though - which Pecos definitely can be!
There are places you go for best drink selection, then there are places you for the ambience.... This has neither. But the beer and chicken/pork curry dosa combination itself is an experience you must have here. Recently checked out the roof top, gives a airy shack like experience.
It's old and small, yes, but it has character. I can sit here for hours and have pitchers and pitchers of woodpecker beer, and not get bored. Music is especially good.
Bangalore's oldest pub. You just know you're in the midst of legends in music when you're here. The pork chilly is scrumptious, the beef chilly equally scrumptious. The beer chilled and you couldn't hope for a better place to hang out. One piece of advice would be ,please invest a little on providing cusions on the seats. Makes for a comfortable experience.all in all, it's one of my fav pub
Pecos is one of my favourite old school places on Brigade Road. If you like rock and roll and wouldn't mind chilling with some beer along with your friends this is a good option to consider. I personally love the ambience -dim lights, walls filled with posters and paintings of rock and roll artists. There are only beers (kingfisher/budweiser) available and to accompany with them I would suggest trying any of the pork or other meat dishes. Overall this place is worth visiting and it isn't harsh on your pockets. Not to forget the fact that this place has been around for more than 25 year.
Have been the hangout place since ages... Good music.. cheap beer and the chilli crab with other munchies. It has been my goto place since 2011......
An ambience to die for. Music volume let's you have a conversation so a great place if you are meeting someone for the first time over a beer. Do try there dosa chicken which they are famous for.
Was introduced to this place by a friend. Being a rock fan it was nice to see a place which had novelty and vintage vibe to it. Now Iโm already planning to make this place my go to go place. From service to food ๐ฅ everything is absolutely delightful.
This place is home.
And the staff, family.
I've been coming here for years
And this is the Stairway to Heaven
Doesn't get better than this
Cheers.
Though it may not look like much from the street once your go upstairs it quite good. The ambience is pretty basic, they have done the best they could with the space available. Food is great and as a plus they have Zomato gold.
This place is so good and the food is yum.Its got a college vibe.A good place to get cheap beer and a nice place to chill
Food : mangalorean curry with dosa and pork chilli is a must try
Ambience: very nice and retro
Staff:friendly and courteous

Have been visiting Pecos since 1989, nothing has changed ... Great Classic Rock, Great Beer, Awesome staff and ofcourse the food is brilliant too ( beef chilly) .. this is one of those old Bangalore watering hole's that's managed to survive over the years ...
Good food, good music, friends and chilled beer, that all you need, and this is the place.
Small cosy pub with old and nostalgic decor and classic rock music.
Also the best place to get cheap and best drought beer.
Food is comparatively cheep but tasty.
Supper ambiance, wonderful place to hangout.
The best music, food, and beer combo in this legendary rock pub! Cheers to Pecos for making my day every time.. Led Zepellin to Pink Floyd.. this is the Mecca of rock music and beer :)
I rate this place 5 stars because for being in its original place since 1989 with the same quality of everything and i used to be regular here during the early to the mid 1990's!!! Rock on Pecos..good luck..
In my opinion, this is one of the best places to get some draught beer and catch up with friends. Not a place which has a happening atmosphere but great for conversations and chill out party
Been to Pecos Classic since my days at St. Joseph's College circa 2006.
I proudly say that I've had my first beer at Pecos. The music and ambience always gives me a nostalgia of the good old days.
The perfect combination of Beer and Chilli pork probably suggested by all Pecosites.
Do try the Dosa chicken curry. Pepper pork and also the chilli beef.
Back in days Pecos used to be one of the few places around Brigade Road serving a English breakfast plate (toast eggs bacon sausage) I don't know if they still do. But this was one a good deal and perfect to wash it down with some Draught on a Sunday morning.
Keep us the good work. Keep if rocking always at Pecos
Cheers!!
This place was a total blast from the past! Although, truth be told, that could also be on account of the company I had while in Pecos.
Did everything the classic Pecos way - 2 pitchers of KF with 2 plates of peanut masala (roasted peanuts!) Don't let the shady exterior fool you, the vibe inside is very leisurely and chill. The roof top was our venue of choice and once you're a regular, the staff will make sure that you know it! :)
Loved the chicken ghee roast! Itโs a small and cosy place for people who love good food! The staff here are courteous . The best part is you can use your zomato gold here! ๐
Came down with my college after a long work day to hangout and the places is really awesome mr Nelson who took good care of us and the music ๐ถ is really rocking like the place and please do call for mr Nelson who will take good care of u ๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐๐๐
Great place to hang out. One of the oldest pub in the city. They only serve draught beer and their food menu is decent. Ghee roast chicken, chilly beef are something you can't miss( although I don't eat beef, I have heard my friends say it's legendary).
They play classic rock and the service is impeccable. Waiter are very friendly and are ready to go that extra mile for you all the time. Ambiance is dark and cosy. The rooftop is the best place you can get.
Overall a nice place to visit. One of the place where you can find three generations drinking.

A simple no frills place that brought back a lot of memories! Nice draught beer, tasty food, zomato gold applied, had a wonderful time.
2 pitchers of Budweiser
1 ghee roast chicken
1 fish fingers
1 fries
Around 2k in all, absolutely worth it!
This place has great music. The food is good especially dosa and curry. They play rock music and is a cool hangout place overall. The staff is pretty well behaved and you can chill their for as long as you would want to.
Awesome music awesome staffs
Very good ambience very well maintained and it's very need as well specially the food is really nice
And the presentation as well is good
A cosy pub with cheap booze and food. Ideal for college going kids for sure.
I did like the fact that the place felt so chrishtmas-y even after the new year.
Easy on the pockets.
Good food.
Definitely easy on the pocket, the place has great music, and surprisingly delicious food.
Isnโt much to look at from the outside, but the place definitely grows on you, with itโs grunge vibe.
Hard to get hold of the service staff though.
Pecos is always my "to go" place when I need some chill out from Netflix in life. Not really a beer person but their chilly pork is my favourite. Not to forget, the rock ambience is their forte.
A really nice and decent budget place to be at in the heart of Bangalore's cosmopolitan junction aka Brigade Road.ย Visited this place on Sunday for some alcohol and food.ย Option-wise they don't have much in alcohol as they only serve Beer in pints, Pitcher and Tower. Even in food also Menu is not too big but good enough to make you enjoy alcohol.ย
Ordered Budweiser Pitcher with Nachos + Salsa and Babycorn Chilly. I must say it was one of the tastiest Salsa i have had in last many months in Bangalore.ย Babycorn was little bit more spicy but that goes well with Beer. I really liked the Quality and Quantity both with respect to Budget of this place.ย
Ambiance-wise it is just good enough place with no hi-fi decoration, and yes with good music :)
Service staff was really good for entire time. All in all. it is a good place to chill out and i'm sure to come here more often now.
This old school place never disappoints if you love beer and some good ol' rock music. Always packed in the evenings so try to book a table in advance. Good food as always and friendly staff. Worth the money.
Great place to chill over beer and some sides with old friends. Also, they have the absolute best playlist I've ever heard in pubs/restaurants.
Went to Pecos after almost a decade... Not much has changed... Nice rock music... Good beer and decent finger food. Great place to hangout with friends. Spent a nice evening with an old buddy. Ordered for KF Strong which was not available so settled for Bud. Had bacon and sausage masala (which was free dish due to Zomato Gold membership I had) and prawn ghee roast. The ghee roast tased like chili prawns though, but okay nevertheless. Also ordered for a plate of French fries. Overall a nice experience. Will come back soon.
One of my favourite places in Bangalore! The beer is cheap, the food is EXCELLENT! The have the best Mangalorean Chicken curry and Chilly prawns! โค๏ธ
This is probably the bestest chicken ghee roast you'd ever have! A perfect bite when you chug in a cold beer!
Go for the small bites because they're classy.
The staff are attentive and friendly. Ambience was a little bit dark for my liking .
Nevertheless, Service was good!
Food : The beef here is a must try. 4.5/5
Ambience : Small n rustic space, but that's the point of going to Bangalore's oldest
Service : Friendly staff - 5/5
Good place for a hangout . Good place for rock music ,great ambiance pocket friendly .I like this place with low lighting even at daytime .If you like a dark place with great rock music and beer , this is the place for you .
Old Rustic place...but the food and beer was good...Been here earlier and never been disappointed. However, not convince with the Price as it seems to be on Higher side with 10% service tax.
Service: 5
Food: 5
Ambience: 3
Value for Money: 3
Came here on a weekday evening, a good place for rock music and a really great ambience (would recommend the top most floor). Coming to the food, the beef and pork was really good, the flavour was amazing and meat was tender(the kerala beef was my favourite). The staff was very friendly and polite.
Food 4.5/5
Ambience 3.5 /5
Service 5 /5
Pecos has always been close to my heart.. I used to visit the branch in new Bel road earlier(it is closed now)..
I happened to visit the branch in brigade road and it was nostalgic!
The service is good and the staff is really nice...
Ambience is soooooo Pecos ๐
The food is good.. bacon was too good!
Had a really good time there.. looking forward to visiting again!

Pecos isnt just another bar, Pecos is Pecos. Bangaloreans love this place, no matter new trends comes in. It is not just about the beer n food, it is about the people who enjoys coming back here often from decades
This place is a true hangout place for Rock music lover. U can be lost in floyd, led zepp, santana while eating their awesome beef ghee roast or other starters. Place is too cheap and have amazing service.
A small place tucked away to a side of Brigade road. Space is limited and the place can seem a little too dark, but the food and service makes up for it. We had beer alongside pork/beef starters and the starters were both good. It can get a little too noisy and smoky due to the limited space.
Extremely shady place but awesome crowd and some amazing classic music. The food is also tasty. The place is really compact but great place to chill on a weekend.

On some nights, you just need cheap draught beer, good chilly beef/potato, a chill vibe and some classic rock music, and that's exactly what Pecos has. A college favourite, visited time and again, this place is truly a classic, with dim lights, old school decor and posters of Pink Floyd, The Doors and other bands adorning the walls.
It is a cute little place in brigade road where you can grab a drink with friends. You can expect good finger food and a mug of beer for a reasonable price with really good music.i love the fairy lights across the staircase all the way to the top.A good option to relax after a shopping spree too. This one is simple, classic and fun.The staff is really nice too..:)
Pecos Classic, its a place from a golden era, awesome beer both bud n kingfisher food is something drooling !!! People who enjoy non-veg that doesn't mean veggies are left it's a place for veggies and meat eater. One place you can never forget, it's a place who love the old rock vintage seating. Comfort n Cozy
What do I write about Pecos? It's a place for classic rock music enthusiasts. Awesome beers and not so awesome food but mind-blowing music. When you're high after a tower of beer and when you listen, "I feel stupid and contagious!!!" it gives you an extra kick in the brain. I've been to 3 Pecos and all of them are really good for their music. And yeah the service is also good.
I love the beer here .Everytime i pub hop at brigade , I make sure to not miss this place . If you love pork , dont miss to try Chilly pork from this place !!
The old classic, standing tall in the dense darkness of the night, reassuring the citizens that good music + good beer is still a thing. Pecos will always be a classic.
Its been extremely fulfilling experience while i had to catch up my friend and asked him to come to Pecos, Brigade Rd. The moment i stepped in, i found myself so homely with the informal environment around inside the pub. It was no waste of time before we ordered a pitcher of beer. It was cosily accompanied by a-portion of pepper chicken and chicken sukka each. Saw people were enjoying a good time around. Inside decoration will actually not allow you to be โformalโ. Food was so tasteful with proper mixture of masala and herbs( curry leaves and mint leaves), couldnโt afford to leave the gravy behind by traces. I would say its a perfect place to mingle with people over a mug of beer. Highly suggested for any informal meet amidst shadowed and shallow beams of light. Cordial serving executives. ๐
We have been regulars at Pecos on Rest House Road since 2001. The decor hasn't changed at all.. thankfully.. delicious food.. beer served in chilled glasses and one of the very few places where one can still listen to Miles Davis, Robert Cray and Mahavishnu Orchestra.. ๐๐๐๐๐๐
If your a Jazz n Blues or a Rocker fan then you will love the place.. and if you aren't one.. you'll still love the place
Old Bengaluru. One place which hasn't changed with the new wave of pubs. Music beer food. Love them. Please do not change any aspect of it. It's a time machine for us.
One of our favorite haunts and it has still got that good ol'e nostalgic charm and warmth from back in the day! The food is unique, typical of pecos and just downright delicious! Perfect flavors and just scrumptious right down to the last lick off the plate! Also, we had cool beer on tap...great for a humid-y balmy day out.
Service is always courteous and prompt and friendly, they do make one feel quite at home here. 3 cheers to you peeps at pecos!
As usual , Pecos never manages to surprise you even if you visit the place after ages.
The low lighting , draught beer & the classic collection music makes it, One of the best places to get tipsy with your old friends in brigade road.
Decent food with awesome quantity.
Good sides for your beer.
Frankly that's all I care about & plus you have zomato gold there โ

Nice place for an afternoon hangout, especially if you wanna have beer at pocket pinch. The ambience is nice, a bit dark. The hospitality is appreciable. We took Kingfisher premium and coorgi pork, beef dry fry, both of which were nice accompaniments to the drinks. Plus, you are allowed to smoke here, which is a plus point. Can't believe I have not been here all these years
Pecos is one of the main hub and the pub in Brigade road which attracts plenty of crowd. Hardrock music and beer beer beer!! Low budget boozers can opt this, though it won't give ecstasy as beers are normal bottled beer, we won't get fresh and flavoured like the ones we get in Microbrewery pub's
Well now adays their are any where breweries it doesnt matter they have draught beers on tap still people loved draught beers. The place is very small however they have many floor( i dnt count) with different paintings on wall.
One of the oldest and best places to hang out at brigade. Its been the same since Bangalore was young. Best for small crowd and lazy drinking with amazing classic rock music. Don't expect anything fancy. Its walking distance from Sree Kanteerava Stadium (Home to the Bangalore FC) makes it ideal place for pre-game hang out. Staff is very courteous. Do try pork chilly, egg bhurji, chicken 65 and chilly potato.
Place is just average. We went to the top floor. Itโs not very spacious. And even the washroom is too small. Smaller than those in aircraft. Anyways, food was good here. But, they donโt serve tower here. Overall, can visit a couple of times more.
This place has been my adda for the past so many years now. Pecos is my merely a pub, but an institution. It is a right of passage for anyone whose grown up in this city. But I digress, the beer is great as well, so is the service and the music. It's a paradise for anyone who loves rock music.
Pecos might not be flashy and pretentious like the other pubs or clubs that have come up in the last few years but it is home for many.
Go have yourselves a beer, I'll see you there.
Service-4.5

A cute little place to hangout for a quick drink....the music is classic and the food is yum....it's in on the busy streets of brigade road and it's small but good enough to chill....a peaceful place good music good food and good service...:)
A nice cosy getaway...great to enjoy with friends..
The interior of the place was quite different and out of the box. The draught beer tunnel with popcorn on the top was my favourite..๐ป
If you're a fan of 90's rock music and love Bangalore's original Kingfisher draught beer, then this is your place. Great ambience to send a few beers down the hatch and relax to some Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.
The Rock Music is classic and lovely. Best place for friends to chill! The Pork is good and fresh. The service is good. Not crowded all times.
This place doesn't have the most stellar food or infrastructure, but it has the perfect blend of old school rock, dark hazy ambience and everything you could need to relax with beer.
This place remind me off 80s club with amz English songs, here the service is too good no never had a complain, an the food is tooo good perfect ๐ ๐ฏ. @gouthamgowda27 ๐คฃ
I am very glad that Peco's in Rest House Road is open again. I have been going there for 30+ years, since it was known as Casbah in the 1980s. I was very shocked when the Supreme Court order shut it down.
Nice beer. Great classic oldies music. What more do you need?
Only place in Banglore which was a best hang out joint has just turned non alcoholic now. The food still remains the same. The food is as good as its price.
Best Kingfisher ๐บ ever had as m not very much a beer lover.
Food is awesome. Tried their speciality pork n it was real good.
The fried rice was also good as it was not the literal FRIED I mean very less oil n all.
Loved the ambience n service too was quick.
Would love to visit again to try their another speciality - squid.
This is one of the best place to chill out with friends with beer and snacks any given day.... And ROCK, slow rock, music is the highlight... Classic old numbers will make you nostalgic.... Back to college days and your early party days... Evenings will get really crowded so late afternoons would be perfect.

Nothing wrong a must visit place , enjoy with friends
What can I say about this place......? Music.. Yes.... Ambience....... Yes.... Service........ Yes...... Classic feel...........always.....!
Was my first time at Pecos which has a reputation of being one of those iconic, must visit places in Bangalore. Must say it did not disappoint on any count.
Located in an alley on resthouse road, winding stairs lead you up to three floors of seating. The menu is well-stocked but not extensive; there's beer too.
My friend and I shared a pepper fry pork (which was excellent) and beer and an iced tea. They had no hot beverages on the menu, so I asked for an ice tea without ice. I also confirmed if they had nothing hot to drink. They said no. And I repeated the ice tea without ice a few times and the waiter, a little perplexed smiled and said he would see what could be done. They brought me back warmed up tea which basically tasted like nimbu chai. Absolutely loved that move and made the service seem better than it already was.
Lastly, the paintings on the wall, colour scheme of the place, lighting all set the tone which is finally bolstered by the rock music playing there. Amazing stuff. Takes you right back if that's the kind of stuff you used to listen to earlier -- led zep, Deep purple, Kansas and the likes. 5 out of 5 on all counts; will go back again
Kind of nastalgic, I remember roaming around this area long long time ago and the pubs used to be like this unlike the modern ones all over Bangalore now. They have three floors, first two floors are a bit dark and it's not very nice to sit there. Went up to the 3rd which is covered with Mangalore tiles with fans. When we entered there was no power therefore it was a bit warm inside. After a while power back and things where much better... The place had mostly young crowd and the highlight is the food. We started with egg pakoda/bonda, it was crispy and amazing. Followed by chicken bite, coorgi pork and some masal peanuts, all old school and tasted pretty good. Highlight is the dosa , you can order any curry, we went with chicken curry, it was pretty good. Service here is really amazing. It's a old school (very old) pub, needs bit of maintenance, folks who are used to the modern brewery may not like it however if you are open to trying different stuff and like amazing food, this is a must try one.
Was looking for something authentic and found it. Was recommended to Pecos by a friend. He said it's a place if good food and great music, was not disappointed. We order masala peanuts, pork tacos and beers. Everything was delicious. Definitely looking forward to going back to this gem of a place
We went with kids and there is a place only for families and kids(no smoke zone). My little one had fun!
If you grew up in bangalore then the place is excellent. If you like listening to an album and not a song the place is excellent. If you want to understand why all of us love rock then go to Pecos
What a nostalgic feeling...superb starters ...dosa in a pub !!! Great beer at reasonable prices ...my kind of place. ..
Edited...food quality haa gone down a bit....
Old school hard rock. Chicken kebab Tikka was the bomb
One of those classic places you can't miss. Don't expect much from the seating.
Food was amazing. They will take requests and the best part, they play all types of rock songs and as a classic rock lover, I enjoyed a lot.
Non veg was cooked to perfection.
An age old joint, standing strong and long, withstanding the new age Pub Culture.
A joint where most people of my age come to feel nostalgic, with their old Rock songs, rustic ambience.
It's a place for a very small group of friends to catch up, or couples who likes such rustic, cosy place with classic rock music.
If you are looking for ambience, loud music, party, comfort, flashy, then this is not the place for you!
As usual an amazing exp. Perfect place for good rock music, amazing food and a place which has a lot of character and history
