KC Das in MG Road is an iconic Mithai shop which for decades has attempted to delight Bangaloreans with the best mithai that Calcutta has to offer. Must try items include Luchi - Aloo Dum, Green Peas Kachori as well as the famous Malpua! Something to improve on would definitely be levels of hygiene which has fallen over the years and needs a step up.

Excellent taste, Pure delicacy.
Quite extraordinary in taste and really can't believe same is being maintained for such long time. I used to eat kc das in calcutta, fan since I was a kid
An old favourite, this place has been churning out Bengali favourites for decades.
Don't miss the Luchhi, rasagulla, Lal Mohan and Turkish delight.
Go here for a sugar rush and instant food coma.
We stopped at this place because my mum has fond memories of K.C. Das's Bengali sweets from the time that she lived in Bangalore years ago. Revisiting memories meant that I got to taste some lightly sweetened and absolutely delicious mishti doi. In addition, I had their fabulous rasmalai, which was a revelation in its sweetness and fluffiness. The Irani Delight is another good try.
The only reason I have taken off a star is for their Turkish Delight, which is overtly sweet and does not really resemble the Turkish Delight from Turkey.
But for their Bengali sweets, would recommend!
An awesome place for a person with a sweet tooth .. lots and loads of Bengali sweets.. rosagulla and my favourite rosmanjuri ... Too good .. and they do offer puri cutlet paneer cutlet gulab jamun and many others .. summary is it's a good place 😃
Known for being the founder fathers of Rosogolla. A sweet that conquers platters of the world. 1868 marked the accidental introduction of Rosogolla by Nabin Chandra Das. And his son and flag bearer Krishna Chandra Das took this confectionery history to next level making it famous in UK US and lot of other places. This store in MG road embarks the sweet history of its founders. Recently going on a revamp they've changed the entire look and feel. Regarding it's always best..Hing kachori being personal favourite. And rosomalai n malpua are other few extraordinary dishes.. very low pocket pinch and very fulfilling bringing you the joy of Kolkata on your platter. Cheers!!
Its 5 star just for rasagullas! Its amazing and this has been vetted by my Bengali friend.
But overall, its a 4 star. Decent sweets and service.
I am not really a 'sweet' person however the few that I like are all found at this place. I was here again a few days back to indulge in some saccharine goodness when I thought of trying their luchi. I fell in love with the luchi and the dal that comes along with it. Did not like the alu sabji that came with it too much.
The luchi was quite filling so I couldn't eat the paneer chops and samosa as I had intended. I guess I LL just have to return soon for them.
One of the oldest sweet shops in Bangalore and they can never ever go wrong ! The corner shop is a perfect place to soothe your sweet tooth ! Just love them! Always ! Ever !
I love their products particularly, Rabri, Sondesh, Roshogolla and Nimki and do buy them during festive and other occasions. But one should always visit the outlet on St. Marks road as this is the main branch and you get the choicest and freshest of all items. Wish their Nimkis were as fresh as their sweet products. On certain occasions I felt the Nimkis were few days old.
Enjoyed the lovely sweets and savouries over the years. The rasagullas are the best. Ghantias and other mixtures are lip smacking too. One of the best outlets in Bangalore. Thank god they have matained their quality over the years.
This is my most favorite sweet shop n restaurant whole India! And only for one reason : Rosogolla! It is super mouth watery and marvelously heavenly. I 1st had experience to visit KC Das with my father at its head quarter in Splanede, Calcutta. From then, it has become my favorite. Other special items to must have is mishti doi, mango mishti doi, chamcham, rosomanguri, chitrokut and luchi. I am sure other sweets are also very delicious which I will certainly try on my next visit.
The name is known to all Bengali sweet afficionados and the place doesn't disappoint. Sondesh and other Bengali sweets are certainly worth the travel in the city. Puri Sabzi (Luchi Shobji) is pretty good. Overall a pretty good place to satisfy cravings.
Iconic shop with a few tables alongside for limited service. And what a service! Outstanding luchis with aloo dum & dal. And the most scrumptious Bengali sweets that money can buy!
This place provides value for money and great service too. We love the Allu poori, samosa, cutlets and rasgullas here. Whatever we tried was amazing in taste.
Place is locating opposite to Hard Rock Cafe, If you are a Bengali Sweet lover a must visit place in Bengaluru shop is little spacious can accommodate 20 peoples easyily sweets are too good for the taste bud can enjoy the flavor. Menu option is quite big with multiple option to choose for. Thabks Happy eating 😊😊
On the busy road of st.marks a place like this happens to be great
While we had been here we had kala jamon and allu poori and both were good as it sounds and at last we had rasmalai
Worth the wait for the sweets
Value for money and great service also
Name is enough to describe the authenticity and quality of food in this shop. The kachori were tasty and tempting. The gulab jamun were melting in mouth.
This place is an absolute delight for sweet lovers. With many options to choose from the traditional bengali sweets, this place is a gem. Do try their collection of savouries aswell.
As being a bengali its my all time favourite place. today i ordered from here and seriously it didnt disappointed me at all. It was amazing in taste and perfect quantity. Truly loving it.
This particular outlet is quite popular among the Bengali community in Bangalore. I had often tasted the sweets from this outlet indirectly, but didn't quite get the chance to visit it. So after many cancelled dates, I finally landed myself here yesterday morning. The entire ambiance, even though very much modernized, reminded me a lot of Kolkata sweet shops. The staffs are never idle, constantly serving customers, either packing away kgs of sweets or serving the dine-in customers at their tables. The most surprising part for me was that, none of the staffs there were Bengali, but they all understood the language clearly. All of them were very polite and courteous, especially the owner !She was super friendly and explained to me that working here over the years, all of the staffs have learnt the language and can communicate with ease. She also told me that they have special get-together for all the Bengalis in Bangalore twice a year. I really don't understand why people in the reviews are complaining about their behavior...Anyway, coming to the food! Since I had already tasted many of their sweet items ( which are amaziiiing btw), I decided to try out their savoury items, namely, their "Paneer chop" and "Alu puri".
First the chop: perfect kolkata style chop, crispy exterior with delicious inner fillings, accompanied by the sweet and spicy chutneys, but lacks the spice level... overall, a must try item for people who doesn't mind the low spice level.Next, the Alu Puri: HUGE size puris, accompanied by cholar daal, and aloor dum, Soooo damn delicious that you don't wanna stop eating ! Although, the spice level could be increased here too, but then again its a matter of personal taste. And to finish it all.... yummy Roshogollas... A classic kolkata breakfast done right !
Totally worth visiting this place again....

Been here twice. You can get many authentic Bengali sweets at well, a bit high price. But not too much pull on pocket. Malpoa is not that tasty, but they pass with flying colours on Kesar Chamcham, vegetable chop and Kesar peda. Overall, a good place for sweet lovers.
My luchi , cholar daal and alur dom❣️ This is one of those don’t-screw-it-up or I’ll shoot you kinda dishes. Get too sentimental eating Bengali food 😢
But without the drama though, my mommy’s are wayyy better. This could be a desperate measure but nothing close to the one at home - I say this to all my Bangla bondhugon. #luchi #aloodum #choladaal #kcdas
Have been meaning to try the Goodies since a long time. Veg Chop was excellent filled with beetroots and mixed veggies, beautifully crumbed and deep fried served with a tasty tangy tamarind chutney. Also packed some Kshir Kadam and raasbhaari. Perfect sweet, loved the place and the old charm except the rude waiters etc and are totally not helpful.
Thanks k c das your poori sabzi reminds me my hometowns and childwoods what a taste. And they have lots of deserts varieties no matter from which state you belongs to you wll found your favourate sweets and any time available...,
Once upon a time it used to be the best sweet shop. Their rassagollas were the best in the city. Soft and spongy. Samosas and kachoris were good too.
Rossomanjari is my all time favourite 😋.
Yumm yumm!! 🤤
Had lunch in Oye Amritsar and went to KC Das for sweets 😉 Tried kheer kadam, ras kadam, mishti doi & few other sweets 😋 guess they serve some more snacks etc as well but we were already full so didnt try those..
Overall Taste 4/5 (bengali sweets), Service 3.5/5, ambience 2/5 (comparatively small sweet shop with 2 tables for guests)
Ever since Church Street turned into a scene from Armageddon (circa 2016), getting to KC Das' entrance requires a hop, skip and now, even a jump. Once inside, you'll forget your problems when your eyes fall on the sweet counter. I don't have a sweet tooth (4 root canals will back my claim), but go weak kneed when I see KC Das' rossogolla. I'd go as far to say that they are the best in the world! It's one of those things I recommend to visitors to Bangalore. Visit the Church street outlet, have a couple of rossogollas, a plate of aloo poori and you have had a Bangalorean experience! I'm sure the rest of their sweets and savouries are good, but I'm sold on the aloo poori and white pieces of heaven (sans sugar syrup of course).
KC Das is my all time favourite especially when it comes to sweets. Favourite dishes here I like is Alu poori. Veg Cutlet and Samosa. Well all these items you will only get at mg toad branch. Definitely way higher than other sweets shop in bangalore but taste wise also they are far better than their competitors.
I visited here today afternoon

And quick service
Meeta and baadam milk awesome
Parking problems is their we rounded 2 three times to park finally we didn't get parking place we drop some where and came here apart from tasy ok

Used to go here to buy sweets but never really tried the food here. Lusi bhaji is love! Since I'm from Assam, this is close to home ❤
The food is so cheap and super tasty. I'm glad I stopped in for a bite :)
KC Das is a prominent sweet house in Bangalore and has been there since decades.
It's primarily known for its Bengali sweets.
I'd recommend Kshir Kadam, Ras Kadam and Mishti Dahi.
They also have a few diet mithais catering to the health conscious crowd.
They have a wide range of varieties. Be it sweets or snacks. I love the panneer chop and luchi there. Service is also pretty good. Must try place if you are someone who exolores food items.
Recommended by a friend decided a lunch at this place, Although there isnt much option for lunch items the Luchi is pretty damn filling and cheap as hell. We also got to try Kshir kadam which is basically tastes like rossogulla covered with peda , amusing but delicious. Sweet Curd is a good dessert for the summer.
One of the best Bengali sweets i have ever eaten . The best of which is malpau with cream . No doubt its the famous sweet store of bengal . any one visiting bengal must vist KCD for sweets
We normally go to K C das to pick up the sweets. They make the best Rosagolla and Rasmalai. It is worth making the journey to MG road just for this.
Went there on a Sunday afternoon.. tried Ras malai and it was good. I will recommend this place if you are on mg road and want to have Indian sweets.
One of my favourite places in Bangalore for Misti Doi. Though I'm not an expert in Bengali cuisine, their luchi Puri tasted amazing!!
The rasmalai was a let down. But the other sweets we ordered - Iranian delight, kshir kadam, ras kadam etc were amazing. The Paneer chops was out of the world for me.
Been there twice but didn't live up to the expectations. Had sweets, kochuri, rasmalai. Decent but not great. Not the place to go to if you want good ambience. Right on St. Mark's opposite Koshys- difficult to miss this outlet.
You know as a bong staying outside his city, you get these cravings. Cravings for Kachuri Cholar Daal, Alur dom, cravings for those lovely rosogollas. Where do you go when you have that. You head to your nearest branch of KC Das. Located in the uptown busting strrets of MG road, church road crossing this place has a small seating arrangement and the front end counter has the typical "Mistanno Bhandar" look to it. The food is good, not excellent to be honest but they serve food that reminds you of home, so I am not complaining. The last few times i have visited i have missed out on the Hing and Koraishuti Kachuri and had to settle for a luchi instead, which was disappointing. The sweets are pretty good too but again nothing extra-ordinary. Average service which can be a lot better.
Great place to have Bengali sweets and savouries....like
Chamcham , Rajbhog , Lancha, Sondesh, Maalpua and many other famous Bengali desserts....and all are outstanding.
Perfect luchi with aludam and chanadaal , superb green peas kachori ..... the best part ...quality and keep maintaining that.
So I visited K.C. Das place after hearing a lot about it.
Went around 12:15 in the noon and still the place has quiet some crowd. I ordered the Luchi Poori , Aloo Poori and my friend ordered their Rossomalai and the Sondesh.
The sweets I.e. Rasmalai and Sondesh were very good , but on the front of Luchi Poori and Aloo Poori , I wasn't very impressed , the primary reason being that the gravy served along with it came around to be extremely sweet. Now I know that the gravy has to be sweet , but here it was beyond a specific level and all the other flavours in it were being cornered and covered by the sweetness. But , the Poori and luchi were very impressive and authentic.
The place is nice , adequate seating facilities available, service is good and I would definitely visit K.C. Das to try the other varieties of sweets and also their other dishes .
Food -3.5/5
Sweets - 4/5
Value for money -4/5

Not a big fan of sweets of this kind, I found myself here to satisfy the sweet cravings of a friend.
The place used to look better maintained especially the outside but that probably is not in their hands.
I used to visit this particular outlet as they were the only one which had a supply of Cham Cham's which were my aunts favourite.
This particular visit we ordered for Jamoon, Rasmalancha, Rasmadhuri and Chamcham. Their Chamcham is best I have tasted yet. The jamoon was also very good. The other 2 - Rasmalancha and Rasmanjuri were a first for me and I really liked the Rasamanjari.
They also have some quick eats such as Samosa, Paneer chops etc.
Being from the North East - this place is one of my favorites in Bangalore. Always reminds me of home :)
The sweets are made fresh, the snacks (Samosas, Chops etc.) have the authentic Bengali taste and obviously - Mishti Doi (Sweet Curd) is the clear winner. You may leave the rest but must try Mishti Doi here - it's heavenly!!
Me and my friend were wandering about MG Road last Sunday and dropped in here to grab (2 persons):
Mishti Doi (Sweet Curd) - 0.5 kgs
Samosa (Singara) - 2 nos.
Vegetable Chop - 2 nos.
Kesar Malai Chamcham - 2 nos.
Ras Madhuri - 2 nos.
It costed us a total of ~Rs.335/- (inclusive everything) and trust me, our dessert post dinner was a delight for the next 2 days. The samosas were extremely fresh and felt very light (as they were non oily) and the chop was good too!
I have been to their Indiranagar outlet, but this MG Road outlet has a great feel to it.. Surely drop in to have a bite of Bengal and do try the sweet curd, whenever you are in MG Road :)
Food- 4/5
Ambience- NA ( Over the counter sorts)
Hygiene- 4/5
Service- 4/5
Price- 4/5
KC Das was erstwhile known for a mark of Bengali Sweets. Well, it has digressed a lot from that definition with so many better joints serving Bengali sweets. But however its still not bad. Located at the intersection of Church Street, amidst jostling eateries, this is one of the oldest KC das outlet in Bangalore and oldest in the area. Head here for excellent Radhaballavi and sabji or Poori sabji offered at an economical price.
Hing Kachori and Misti Doi is also a delectable try here. And wait for surprise, try out Turkish delight and Iranian Delight- they are mind blowing here.
Wide variety of sweets are available.
Tried Turkish delight and kadam both were too good.
Soan papdi was melting in mouth.
Dine in and parcel options both are available here.
Great place for Bengali sweets and savouries. I love their sondesh and samosas. You can either eat here (limited number of tables) or take home.
Situated in a prime location, the shop is frequented by regulars. They use the walls to sell art, making it quite an eclectic outlet.
I am giving 4 starts because they have authentic taste of Mysore Pak.
However, don't expect from other sweets.
Car parking is available near petrol station but mostly occupied.

All ways the Best for sweets. Have been seeing this place from my childhood days. Still the taste is same . You have option for short eats also. Place is Spick and span . Well decently recommend for people who love sweets . The staff is kind and friendly.
This nifty little place located at the corner is great to grab a quick bite, they have a variety of sweets and namkeen, like Samosas and Kachoris. There are a few tables where you can sit and have them.
The ambience is fine if not great, and the chutneys are filled on a regular basis, so make sure to ask if you don't find them filled.
Rasmali and Turkish Delight are worth a try.
Always and forever will have the rasgullas when I visit this place. A must try, as it’s their signature sweet for which they became known for many many years ago. A Small place with only 4 tables seating. They have a Cothas coffee machine which does not work and tea is also not available! Only sweets and snacks is what you get here. Service is self serve!
I have been a fan of this place since I visited Kolkata. I was very happy to see this place while roaming in Banglore. I love Bengali sweets very crazily and KC Das is one of my favourites when it comes to authentic Bengali sweets.
Here I ate rasgullas, Gulab Jamunn, ras malai, malai sandwich which was all amazing.
True touch of old-world charm still retained in contemporary style. Not being a fan of sweets, with obvious choice of snacks. Poori's with tasty gravy, Samosas, et al. of consistent tastes. Only wish some Pudina Chutney along with Meeta chutney offered. Great place to be.
Morning breakfast- luchi torkari(puri sabji), a Bengali Breakfast is a must try and is my favourite breakfast here. Sweets are also good here. Among sweets i would say, you should try 'Malpuwa', its really good. You will also get good Rasmalai, langcha, etc. Only cash and card is accepted, no online payment accepted here. Hygiene is well maintained, no need to worry.
Had hing korhuri, sondesh, roshogolla and misti doi and quality was very good. How can a bong say no or dislike anything from KC Das.
I’m sure everyone would have had Poori and Bhaji,at LC Das one must try the different kind of Poori and Bhaji, mutter poori,it’s absolutely amazing, not to be found in any other regular restaurants.
Drove all the way from brookefield to M G Road to buy soan papdi from K C Das. Very friendly staff, quick service, and fantastic tasty soan papdi. Sweet lovers should definitely try this.
The best Soan Papdi in Bangalore, I've been visiting since childhood and the taste is still maintained, one of the best Bengali Sweets shop with lots of choices, we also get Puri Bhaji, Veg Cutlets, Veg Samosas, please do visit! Thank you!
- Good taste and variety of Bengali sweets
- Price here is higher (may be due to high taxes)
- They also sell Painting... Yes painting
Remembered Kolkata and HOW! The authentic Mishti Dahi to Luchi sabji...reminiscent to happiness!
