BHARTIYA JALPAN - an amazing place to indulge into flavours that we have grown up eating! Finding such a place staying in south is a blessing! From their - Aalo Tikki chaat, Samosa chaat, chole bhature, parathas, elachi dum chai (served in a kullad) is all worth a try! You will surely relish each and every bite of it! When it comes to the sweets - they are quiet close in delivering that taste as well. People from the North and East region..Go, Explore, Indulge! 🤗 #foodlove #bhartiyajalpan #relish & #love

Ambience 🛋🖼
Situated at one of the promising corners of Indiranagar, it would be pretty tough to miss the sign across the road. They have seat arrangements of all sorts, outdoor, indoor, indoor with AC. I really liked sitting outside, light vehicle sound with the butter sizzling for my pav bhaji on the side and the smell of chai on the other. They also have a section for Indian sweets and savoury.

What’s up for grabs 🍽🥢
- Matka saffron chai, rich flavour of tea
- Pav Bhaji, butter overloaded :P
- Jalebi, make sure you have it hot ! It’s amazing.
- Chole Bhature, one full filling plate
- Vada Pav, was not much of a fan.

Service 🤵🏻🍾
It’s all self service on the ground floor. It’s better as sometime there is too much crowd and it better to get your order itself.

If there's any name synonymous with chaat or street food, BJ's is the place to be. Yes BJ is an acronym for Bhartiya Jalpan look it up *sighs*

So visiting post COVID reopening of the outlet and its' been really safe, with all of the staff, chefs, servers and billers in masks and given the space available it never is too claustrophobic.

All in all a great visit if you wish to have your puchkas and other savory or sweet dishes.

PS: Not comparable to the chaat from Bombay if you're a Mumbaikar but close enough.

This is a place where you can get good north indian breakfast.
It is on a bit costlier side and portion size is also not that filling but you will definitely enjoy it.
All the preparations are done in desi ghee and you can feel that.

This was an unexpected visit for the first time to bhartiya jalpan which caught my eye on my way home, and it was one of the best decision I had taken to go visit it cause the food were one of the best street food and desserts I had, the Chole kulche were really amazing along with the Dhokla and ending it with a delicious bite of rasmalai, do try these when you visit the place!

This is my go to go place if I ever crave for chaat and jalebi. If you are from north India and crave for those crispy orange and thin jalebis .. this place won't be a dissapointment. They have got super delicious collection of chaats as well. I love their jhaal muri and pani puri as well.

It probably has the best filter coffee Frappuccino ever; very very delicious and worth every pence. The ambience is very inviting, especially the food being made right in front of you does tend to make you overdo your order. The dahipuri was one of the best I've had and even the Chhole-kulche was great.
Next time I go, I'd definitely have to try the Raj kachori and the Rabri Jalebi.

They serve the best chole in town. You will keep ordering from this place after your visit this place.
It’s quite heavy on pocket considering the portion size but once in a while it’s important to treat yourself

Ordering is self-serve with a number of counter to run between hence try to order everything in one single shot so that you can calmly sit down and eat.

But you will need to make sure you reserve a table for yourself while you do this. One seat of seating on the inside and on set on the outside.

Kulcha was soft and fluffy. Chole are soft and subtlety flavoured, not too spicy, not too much masala.

Pav Bhaji was a little on the salty side but well flavoured like typical Mumbai street. Pav was well greased and soft.

The chaats are not too chatpata but delicately flavoured. The jeera masala lemonade was mostly jeera soda with lemon - it was nice and refreshing. Rabri started sweet on the top and got savoury towards the end.

Easily been here around 30 times but haven’t clicked many pics or can’t find them. Since I tried the Pav Bhaji today, thought I should review it.

The Bhaji was splendid and the Pav was decent n nicely tossed. Apart from this, I love the Jalebi here 😋

The ambiance is great and good . The staff are friendly. A little bit on the costly side. But the food does taste good. This place is nostalgic to all north Indian people. If you’re looking to just snack or have a proper vegetarian meal then this is the place to be.

If you are craving North Indian street food Bharaiya Jalpan should be on your places to eat list. I love the Pani Puri’s there they are served with sweet and tangy Pani and aloo masala which is close to what you get in north india. I had coffee which was strong and good. Dahi papri chaat was delicious. My favorite was Chole batura it was tasty. Your visit is not complete until you taste garam garam Jalebi. I love Jalebi it was good and crispy. I would visit again to try other items on menu. The place is crowded over weekend abs service is slow so you will have to be patient to eat what you have ordered.

Good place to have street chats and food. Good ambience and good taste
Only the self service thing I didn’t like as in people have to collect their own food from counter.

They have separate sitting area where waiter serve you the food but I guess they will charge extra service charge there with the bill.

Not sure of, let me know if anyone have idea on this !!

We have been here twice and the food is always inviting. The place is bustling usually on weekends and please note this is a self service sweet meat stall and restaurant in the ground floor and a fine dine restaurant situated in first floor. We always have some chat variety but this time we tasted chilli cheese toast. The ingredients used are quite simple but the taste is really good. The prices are on a higher side though.

We had Khichdi and it was amazing. Simple food, full of veggies+flavours. A big thumbs up. The ambiance was very relaxing and cozy. You could go even for family dinner and even for business meets because there's absolute good vibe to this restaurant which enables you to sit for long duration and discuss without interruptions, at least on weekdays. Overall it's a restaurant you can go for repeat.

It's a great place to enjoy pure veg North indian food in namma city. The quality of food is excellent. Nice ambiance. Too many Variants to choose from so it's a plus one for me. The only issue with this place I felt is it gives less quantity of food during dining which is not price worthy.

Lovely place, they got separate seatings for self service & fine dine. Fine dine was in 1st floor. What a lovely ambiance. Large varieties in menu. First we went to Achari Paneer Tikka - tangy spicy paneer, taste of that Achari was so good. Mango lassi - So thick and felt like having the real mango In mains we ordered Misti roti & Garlic naan with dal - I loved garlic naan & dal was the best couldn’t stop eating. Pink lemonade - They got lemonade’s in menu, if you like sprite then go for it. Otherwise it’s nice. The main highlight was they gave gravy cup to eat along. Overall service was good. Very friendly staffs. During peak hours you don’t find tables, waiting time will be there. I would recommend this restaurant.

Bharatiya jalapan was founded in 1945 by Girdharilal Pareek, by serving mithais , namkeen and mewa and most of the north Indian snacks. It's a chain restaurant and in Bangalore they have 6 outlets serving High quality and delicious veg snacks, sweets. They have very well maintained hygiene and quality of the food they prepare. The service at the outlet is very good. The prices are reasonable - costly, but no compromise on the taste. I tried hot jilebi with rabdi ,and ghee jilebi. Hot jilebi with rabdi was very good and i recommend the same. I didn't feel ghee in the jilebi. So the ghee jilebi tasted like a normal jilebi and no aroma of the ghee in it. They have a wide variety of sweets. The chole bhature is good at this restaurant. They have a self-serve and sitting table served by staff options as well. If someone is looking for sweets carvings and North Indian snacks then this is a must try place.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the pleasure of dining at jalpan, and I must say, it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. Here are four reasons why I highly recommend this restaurant: Exceptional Cuisine: The food at jalpan is simply outstanding. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and made with the finest ingredients. From the perfectly cooked steaks to the creatively crafted vegetarian options, the menu catered to a variety of palates. The presentation of each plate was a work of art, and the attention to detail in every bite was evident. Ambience and Atmosphere: The restaurant boasts an elegant and inviting atmosphere. The interior design is tastefully done, with attention to lighting and comfortable seating arrangements. The soft background music created a relaxing ambiance, allowing for enjoyable conversations without being overpowering. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or having an intimate dinner, the setting at jalpan is perfect. Impeccable Service: The staff at jalpan were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and ensure that all our needs were met. The waitstaff exhibited professionalism and were always prompt in their service. Their genuine passion for hospitality truly elevated the dining experience. Attention to Detail: It was evident that jalpan pays great attention to every detail. From the perfectly folded napkins to the stylish table settings, no aspect was overlooked. The little touches, such as the amuse-bouche before the meal and the complimentary palate cleansers between courses, added a touch of elegance. The chef's creative flair and dedication to quality were evident in every aspect of the dining experience.

Bhartiya Jalpan is a place popular for its snacks and sweets. They serve authentic and flavorful North Indian food. We tried the paneer roll which was very tasty and filling, chole bhature, pav bhaji were very good, all the chats were good as well. The rasmalai and gulab jamun are heavenly. The rice and dhal makhani was mediocre. Would definately visit again for some evening snacks and chats.

A place to try in the city. For North Indian style snacks with flavours of the region. The food is slightly on the more oily end but that is to enhance the taste. Service is good, has fine dine kind and regular seating options. Open seating is available as well.

Undoubtedly, they deliver the best jalebis in town! It's no surprise given the fact that these gems are fried in ghee. With the quality on offer, you definitely get a bang for your buck!

Went for lunch with family of four. Ambience is good so is the service. As it was a weekend it got busy late afternoon. The starters were good. We ordered Malai Paneer, which was soft and the flavour was great. Main course was disappointing. Both Lababdar and Tadka Dal were not so good.Lababdar lacked flavour and the dal was watery and tasteless. Service was good and they do recommend when asked for. Prices are in par with other restaurants around the area. Overall had a good time.
