From morning coffee to breakfast and sometimes lunch this place was the best.
I love set dosa the most here. I never got the same taste anywhere else till date.
Miss those college canteen days alot.

This restaurant generally serves good food, nice ambience. Highlight is their Rave Idli (my 5* is for this), it is THE BEST RAVE IDLI in town, I am a veg food freak and have tasted in the best restaurants in Bengaluru for over 30 years and I can guarantee that no one makes better Rave Idli than this. 3 types of chutney along with sagu masala makes it even tastier.
If any one finds a better Rave Idli anywhere, please post it and I would love to try it there !!!
Definitely a must visit (and many revisits) for good, yummy South Indian food. Rava dosa and rava idli must not be missed here. North Indian food is also quite tasty. The staff is courteous. Finding car parking was challenging but the food more than made up for it.

This is the nth time we are having breakfast fast in sanman and I enjoy the yummy sambar with button idli and vada which I feel is out of this world. My wife likes pongal also. Masala dosa is also good.
I wish Zomato had more than 5stars to give.

The quality of the food was quite good. I first visited this Restaurant way back in Mid 80’s and it is still refreshing. The ambience is also maintained the same way as before. Overall must visit place for bangaloreans. Presently I stay in Dubai, but still visit this place whenever I visit India at least once.

It was sudden plan to visit this place, 5 of us went for lunch. We ordered Gobi,Baby corn Manchuria, Service was fast, It was not oily, it tasted good. This was followed by butter kulcha and Veg Kadai, Kulcha was soft and chewy, Veg Khadai was not spicy and both complimented well.
Pure sanman ke Saath Keheta hoon, decent food and decent ambience too. All the north Indian lovers, this place is decent. This can be compared with shiv sagar :")

If you consider someone driving 20+ kilometers in Bangalore to eat breakfast , you should know that the place and food should be worth the distance and this place certainly is Worth that.
They serve half portions which helps you taste multiple items and there is no item I didn’t like in all the 3 times I have been here.

The food is very delicious and tasty. The service is also at good speed no matter which day. A nice hotel for family dining. We enjoyed our dinner.

Sunday Morning breakfast at this place and as expected it was crowded ! Had to wait a while to find a table and as soon as we got one the service was quick. Started off with the usuals - Idly and Vada. Vada - Nice and crispy , Idly could have been better, lacked the softness that is expected. Pongal was my top pick here - great taste. Also tried the masala dosa, regular comfort food , nothing special if I may say. Finished it off with a strong coffee ! Weekend sorted !

Visited the place once upon the suggestion of my friends the food served was fresh and tasty. Liked the different options of chutney available and the service was good. But one thing I disliked was not all the items in the menu were not available. Not a bad experience overall.
I happened to be here on a Sunday morning for lunch. The place was pretty crowded. The rava masala dosa was good and the pooris were very tasty. The highlight of the meal was the raw mango chutney which was simply superb. It is economical as well.

Its one among the traditional hotels not in terms of its looks but in terms of its taste. Its very authentic and a place that entire family can spend time.
It was around 9.15 am visited this place for breakfast on Sunday morning but had to wait as it was a Sunday and little over crowded.
It was nice to see a person was allocated to manage the crowd and doing his job very diligently.
After waiting for 20 minutes got a place to sit and was pondering, if the food will be tasty of not.
I placed an order for idly, which was served very quickly. The first bite was awesome as its taste was very traditional and I recollected the food which I use to have during my childhood days.
Then came the Bangaloreans favourite 'Masala Dosa'. The dosa had very authentic taste which is very unique. No match for this Dosa anywhere in Bangalore. The dosa was very crisp and it was properly roasted with at the right flame. Adding to this was the 3 different type of chutney which added more taste to the dosa.
Was very excited to have pongal but it was not available by the time I placed the order so decided to have poori. 3 big size pooris were served and was wondering whether all three pooris can be finished. Surprisingly, the pooris were so yummy felt like ordering another plate but did not take a chance.
Lastly, order of a coffee which was very authentic. Any person who has spent in Bangalore and freeky about food will surely appreciate the taste.
Now let me tell about the price. The prices are not very expensive and very reasonable. The ambiance was good and the restaurant which had AC. With this kind of facility, the prices charged was reasonable.
One has to plan to visit this vegetarian restaurant in Bangalore and should not compare it with other hotels we can call this as one of hotel in Bangalore old city.

Most underrated, unknown, older restaurant, in the new social media, which serving some excellent South Indian food for decades. North Indian is good too. No wonder they have their regulars and sometimes you will have to wait a bit to be seated. Excellent place for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Specialized in South Indian food and no one can beat the taste of their idly and vada and this is one place where they give multiple option of chutneys ... I love their veg biryanis with Salan .. A nice place to have South Indian breakfast. Not that costly at all. In a group of 5-7, ₹120 per person is all that is required. I'll recommend to try the cheese masala dosa or the butter masala dosa, both are equally good.
One of the best breakfast hotels close to Malleswaram. Masala dosa and Pudi masala dosa taste heavenly are my favourites. Filter coffee is excellent. Service is super quick. Parking is available. Weekends will be crowded. Maximum wait time is 15min

I had been here with family. I loved this dish called Poori Masala Dosa. Something which was very different. The only thing which annoyed me was the slow service. I normally do not fancy vegetarian restaurants, but had to tag along to Sanman in Seshadripuram with a friend who raved about the food there. Sanman specialises in South Indian food and it is obvious that they attach great attention to each dish. I was floored by the ghee soaked rava Pongal which was served with raitha. Normally, I do not fancy Pongal, but this one flattered my taste buds.
The delicious masala dosa with a blob of butter induced a temporary amnesia about my diet. It was too good to resist--crispy and golden brown.
Next on the list were rava idli and bonda soup, both of which came out with flying colours. All food is served with three chutneys which are the house speciality. The coffee was divine. The service was friendly, quick and pleasant.
If South Indian vegetarian food is on your mind, Sanman should be your port of call.

One of the must visit Dosa places. Sanman is one of the oldest restaurants in Bangalore. It's renovated and nicely redone now.

The Vada here was really crisp and good. The Masala Dosa is another thing that is a must here. Filed with butter and really good masale it is very delicious.

Sanman is one of the oldest south Indian restaurants in Bangalore and maintaining the consistent taste and quality till my last visit. I visited several times with my dad for a breakfast and few times for lunch. I am going here since my childhood. I still remember their Crispy Vada and soft rice idly; sambar and chutney will be served separately.
Masala dosa is the most common dish I use to order during my visit here. I had south Indian meals during lunch hours, which are really good and perfect flavor of Bangalore. I haven’t tried any of their North Indian dishes except Nan & Green Peas masala; I use to crave for this dish.
My last visit was 2 years before and the service was great with excellent staffing. People who work there are experienced; people might not like the ambiance because they still holds the charm of 90’s.
Price of the dishes is slightly high compare to other restaurants in Bangalore, but you will not disappoint.
Love to have these restaurants still in Bangalore to show the legendary value.

Sanman is a multicuisine vegetarian restaurant in Sheshadripuram that has been serving delicious food without compromising on quality.The place resembles a lounge and is frequented by the affluent people who reside in Sheshadripuram and surrounding areas.
Majority of the menu comprises of south indian and north indian dishes along with a few chinese items and sandwiches.The masala dosas here are delicious and one of the best I have had in Bangalore.Be it the paneer masala dosa or the cheese masala dosa, they are very tasty and filling, though a little more expensive than than the ones in darshinis.Nevertheless, they are totally worth the price.
The north indian curries are high on calorie content but tasty.The mushroom or paneer chilly is equally delectable.I also love the presentation, full marks to that.
For desserts one should definitely try the hot gulab jamoons here.This instant- melt-in-your-mouth gulab jamun is one of the best I have ever had.For the quality of service, the taste of food and the ambiance the place definitely deserves 4 out of 5.

Food - Went with 12 guests . We ordered Gobi manchurian, roti, mali kofta, hakka noodles, paneer butter masala, veg pepper masala , open dosa, buttermilk, veg pulao, icecream, fresh fruit juices .
For the first time i ate gobi manchurian made without colour. Right taste , not tooo spicy. Hakka noodles were good. Roti's were soft. All the vegetables were perfectly cooked and were with right spices. Their idlis, rava pongal, open dosa is something one should really try. North indian food is also good. If you order buttermilk make sure you inform him to make it less spicy or else it very spicy. Methi roti is also must try

Overall a good experience and enjoyed the food. The best part is of the 3 types of chutneys that you get serviced - regular green chutney, coconut chutney and red mango chutney. The coconut chutney was ok ok however, the other two chutneys were amazing.

A nice place for South Indian breakfast.
Their chutney varieties were very tasty and just blends with all the breakfast dishes perfectly.
Rava idly was very soft and good.
Open.butter masala was average. We did not really get the Falvour of the podi put on the dosa.
Filter coffee at the end of tatsy breakfast is a must try.
On a short trip to Bengaluru, foodie friends Harshala-Abhijit promised to take me too “an awesome breakfast place”. Thats how me landed at Sanman-Sheshadipuram which lived upto it, and more!
Quite a well layed out and spacious place, there were quite a few waiting for their turn, but the service is swift so we got a table in about 20 mts.
Tried Idli -Meduwada combo, Rawa Idli (outstanding), Mysore Masala Dosa, Kesari (Sheera) and Tea.. all this for one third the price we pay in Mumbai!
Next time would love to have lunch and dinner too out here😋

A very comfortable and cozy place.
Very very tasty and flavourful food served which is worth the money, should try the place for the tasty food.
Not only in the evenings for north indian, the south indian breakfast la in the mornings are great too.
This hotel is one of the oldest restaurant very well maintained , fully AC dining hall, separate section for parties , groups .
This restaurant has a seating capacity of more than 100 customers and had adequate staff.
South Indian meals , North Indian meals , are popular. Tiffin and Snacks varieties are tasty and good quality.
Rava idli , Masala dosa , set dosa, onion uthappa , poori , idli vada , Gobi Manchurian,
Pongal , Bisibelebath are popular and Coffee.
Becoz of the good quality, they hv good flow of customers.
Restaurant is neat and clean.
Must visit once to Explore n Experience.

My fav place for masala dosa can be enjoyed with 3 types of chutney.. Bonda soup in the evening is also my fav..
