Amazing Veg-food here, the Chhole-bhature and Gobi-Manchurian is a must try.
It’s a cake wit ice cream
Vanilla wit chocolate
Twinning wit the taste
Must try it’s too delicious
I love this ice cream 😍
So whenever my mom and me goes to commercial street shopping this is the only restaurant we love to have lunch... As I am from North India so we love having our style of food... They make really nice north indian food.. Love there dal makhni.. The service here is fast.. Must recommend this place.
My one of the favorite place in town... Go there and have anything all are so good and awesome... Can't explain... Cheese balls so yum... Paneer gravy naans, daals all super good... Even the chats and south-indian food are very tasty... Perfectly placed in the heart of commercial street go shop and hog here..
If you wanna taste Authentic Food, this is

Must Try...
Pav Bhaji
All chat items
Sizzling chocolate Brownie Sizzler
Masala Dosa
This place never disappoints.have been an old customer.. the taste of all items that I tried has been consistently good. Also it's a no nonsense place and excellent customer service

This place has seating in two floors so there is ample seating capacity. The food and staff is good. Also the prices are quiet reasonable compared to the food and service.
I’ve lived in blore for 6 years and this was my absolute go-to place for dosas. They legit have the BEST dosas in town. This place is super crowded everyday of the week as it is situated on Commercial Street.
So recently I happened to go to Bangalore and went to this restaurant..
We had their onion Rava Masala Dosa, Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Tikka Masala and Roti
As i said earlier, their dosas are the BEST IN BLORE. Absolutely worth trying! The Onion Rava Masala Dosa was DELICIOUS!
Their Gobi Manchurian is the best Gobi Manchurian I’ve had in Bangalore! Definitely worth trying!
Their Paneer Tikka Masala was good, not out of the ordinary though..
RS shiv Sagar one of the famous restaurant in Bangalore....
Every day crowd is very much there food & Service is good .
Sizzling disert is mind blowing supop Service
Every random thing I try from their menu is absolutely amazing. The dishes do take a while to prepare but it's definitely worth the wait.
I'm amazed it hasn't gotten higher ratings. Being a non vegetarian, I prefer this place to many non veg eat-outs.
We always end up having a snack or lunch at Shiv Sagar during our shopping at Commercial Street. They have some good South Indian, North Indian and Chinese Food. I have always had Rava Idly, vegetable spring rolls, veg balls chilli, hakka noodles and many other dishes to never be disappointed. Quick service and some tasty food is what I always get from here.
This restaurant is always super crowded. Whenever I'm at Commercial Street for my shopping escapade I have to make a mandatory stopover at Shiv Sagar.
The food is delicious. They offer various cuisines and have an elaborate menu. But, it's a pure vegetarian restaurant, so maybe this isn't the ideal place for a hardcore non-vegetarian.
I highly recommend their Chaats. And strangely, they serve some brilliant Mexican dishes too. Do opt for the enchiladas if you're open to experimenting something different at a Shiv Sagar restaurant.
This place is always crowded because of the good food.
The veg crispy and the kadhai paneer which we ordered were amazing. Also, the tandoori roti was on point. I just wished the place was a little cleaner.
My favourite vegetarian option in the city. The mattar paneer, garlic naan , palak Chaat , mushroom Manchurian and paneer chilli are my favourite and the food comes really fast and tastes delicious every single time
This place was AMAZING the rose faloodas and panu puri was soooooooo good! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! :D even service was really good and food came quickly even though there was a rush
A crowded vegetarian joint with good service and family ambiance. Shopping at commercial street one of the best place to relax and enjoy some good food.
Dahi batata poori:- One among the best dish
Sev puri:- Average
Vada pav:- One among the best
Ghee roast:- good
Bomabay s/w :- average
Pav bhajji:- Average
Idli set:- Good
Sizzling brownie:- Average
Most shiv sagars are low on quality, but this one is delicious and tasty. Butter paneer, shivsagar (idly) Manchurian, black daal and the charts are superb. The quality of the iddly, dosa and sambar is noteworthy as well.
If you think veg food, this has to be in the top 5 in Bangalore.
No family outing is complete without considering going here. The only reason one may skip is the waiting time. Almost always crowded but that doesn't make the service or food suffer in any way.
Again a place that you can't go wrong in ordering food. They are truly multi cuisine like that. Even the Italian, Mexican tastes better than most specialized restaurants. Go here, order what ever you feel like. But go :)
If I'm at Commercial Street, and hungry, there is no other place I would rather go!
Ambiance isn't great, but it makes no difference.
The food is absolutely great! Any dish, anytime!
Although I've my favorite dishes that I order every single time!
The staff is quick and smart at their work, and I've no complaints.
Keep it going! :)
Very good in taste and decent in quantity, service is not bad but quite delayed when there is a rush in the restaurant. Worth visiting with family
Awesome naans, yummmiest paneer and the most amazing sizzling brownie with ice cream which is a must try!!!! Their baby corn manchuria and masala papad is delicious. After a long day at shopping , you should really go here to enjoy an awesome lunch.
It is an amazing restaurant for a perfect dinner...
I love the food there...The Indian food...The Chinese...And especially the sizzling brownie... It is amazing for an occasional dinner...

Our all time favorite place.. Love the Enchiladas, milkshakes and sizzling brownie.. Only problem used to be the location and logistics related..
Food we had :
American cheese balls - they were extremely good. Must try!! It was like a cheese bomb.
Paneer chilli- right amount of spices and well cooked paneer
Lychee milkshake- served in a huge glass. I love lychee so I loved the milkshake too!
Butter naan and kulcha- buttery soft and crispy. The perfect bread
Kadai mushroom- wanted a bigger portion of it but it tasted amazing!
Mughlai biriyani - they add fried bread pieces to it and it takes the dish to the next level! Right amount of spices. Too good
Malai kulfi- must try! They should have more desserts though.
The staff were so friendly. Provided great service. Food as always is the best and the only place I would suggest everyone to go when they go to commercial street!
After a tiring shopping day in Commercial Street we had been to shiv sagar to grab a cup of tea and some snacks, thankfully this time since it was an evening and not a weekend the place had some seats empty.. we had ordered Tea, Papdi Chat and Samosa. The tea was absolutely great, perfect quantity , taste and temperature. However the Papdi chat and samosa wasn’t that great, considering this place to have a North Indian touch in their food I kindof expected it to be very tasty.

This restaurant has never disappointed me
The taste is just genuine and the quality is non-negotiable, you order anything off the menu and it will surprise you
A must visit for Jain food and north Indian delight,
Crowded at times, prefferable to call before going there.
We have been eating at The Shiv Sagar Restaurant in Commercial Street since 2000...
Ithas been constantly improving year by year and now serves South Indian, North Indian, Continental, Chinese and Mexican Dishes...though select, but very authentic and tasty.
The point to note is that given the small space for the kitchen and seating (3 floors - 1 non-AC and 2 AC) it is remarkably maintained - both in hygiene and service.
We would like to appreciate their quality of food and service; specially one of their Managers - Shri Sandeep...
They have a number of outlets (between the two brothers - Ram and Shyam); one of them being erstwhile RIVERSIDE in Whitefield which serves some amazing veg and non-veg cusines in Bffet and A-La-Carte...
Shiv Sagar has always been one of my favourite places in the city for dosas, they’re perfectly made and very well priced. Love the papdi chaat and brownie sizzler as well.
Awesome food, fast service, polite staff, have two different sections one a/c hall amd other non-a/c hall. Good hospitality and hygienic.
You should definitely try cheese nachos.
Tucked in a small bylane of commercial Street this place serves all veg food. Fab Vada pav and pav bhaji u get here. The chats like kachori chat and Sev batata puri are awesome. They hv a sizzling brownie. Even the starters and main course meals are worth trying. Nice seating area with non ac and ac.
Being from Mumbai I miss the flavours of typical Udupi style restaurants which serve good North Indian as well..this place helps fill that vacuum. It's crowded most of the times and especially on weekends it can extend to 30mins but they manage it efficiently.Had gobi Manchurian was which fairly decent. For main course had Veg pepper masala which was very good and so were the pudina parathas and kulchas.polished it off with mango milkshake which was lip smacking. Quick service and efficient staff. Do note that you may have to share tables if your 2 or single depending upon the rush. All in all a must do on any visit to Commercial street.
This is my all time favourite restaurant in Bangalore. A visit to comms street is incomplete without a meal/snack here. Everything here is lip smacking. I like Dahi puri, paneer manchurian, Palak dosa, enchiladas, rawa dosa, and the list goes on. I have visited a zillion times here n the food has never disappointed me, though the service can at times.
Honestly Speaking! This is an underrated place! I remember eating at this place way back in the 90's and the quality of food is still the same. They still serve the same staple food but everything you order here is too good. South Indian or North Indian, Beverages, desserts everything that I eaten her is still good for taste and quality of food. The last time I had their mango Milkshake and Ragda Patties. Amazing flavors and the best quality you could get there! Hope they maintain the same for many more years to come!
Heavy meal or a snack
Head here after or before shopping at Commercial Street for yummy Indian food and ice creams, their sizzling brownie is the best of all that I have had and not miss their seasonal mango king.
Has been a regular spot around this area. Decent place to grab some snacks or quick bites especially after shopping around Commercial Street! We tried chats- masala puri, pani puri and Pav bhaji and all were yummy. Good to know that the place has maintained their standards over the years. Best to visit when it is not crowded.
The menu is the size of a Bible! From South Indian to North Indian, everything tasted very good.
If you end up there during lunch hours, be prepared to wait for your table ...
When you are in commercial, just look for a restaurant that has people standing from the road until the 2nd floor.. it is Shiv Sagar :D
Been here quite a few times, a pure veg restaurant that serves all kinds of dishes, be it indian, chinese, mexican, italian, etc.
Pros:
1. Value for money
2. Quality of food is really good
3. Lots of variety to choose from
4. Lightning quick service (can even beat the flash :D)
Cons:
1. Too much of waiting time before you get a place (generally 15-25mins)
2. Lot of rush, and specially in summers it is better to skip the non ac floor
3. Little cramped up space
Foods that I personally loved:
1. Chinese bhel.. yeah its bhel and its chinese :D used to have this in kolkata and trust me it tastes amazing.
2. White sauce pasta.. full of cream and cheese and tastes awesome
3. Kumbh khazana.. mushroom tikkas that are too good to be true
This place is tucked in a street at commercial street.
We had Paper Masala Dosa, Veg Hakka Noodles and Paapdi Chat.
All food items were very well made and tasty.
This place is also very pocket friendly.
However the staff seems to be clueless and not very helpful. They should improve in this.
Their tea is pathetic to have.
Overall a good place to have food.
Tucked away in a lane at shoppers paradise , Commercial Street.
This place has amazing food, be it Indian or Mexican or Italian . The quality of the food is great!
Lip smacking ! Worth the money .
My favourites are the pav bhaji and chole bature !
The gobi manchurian is so nice and crisp.
The sizzling brownie is 😋.
So the next time you are at Comm street don’t miss grabbing a bite at shiv Sagar !
This is one of the iconic places in town, it has been there since many years ! A small restaurant which is now expanded to two floors, perfect place to drop in and hogg when you're exhausted after shopping in commercial Street. Everything that you get there tastes really nice! But the service is quite slow because it's always crowded, Famous and must try items are; Royal Falooda, Masala dosa, Gobi Manchurian (the best I've ever had!), Dahi Puri, Pasta.
FOOD : 4/5

WORTH FOR MONEY :3:5/5
My favourite family restaurant...I usually go to this restaurant once in a month ...never disappointing ...food made here is delicious and the chocolate sizzler is amazing.
Been here a lot of times. This place is a wonderland for vegans. Their variety of food always mesmerises you. I went here with family yesterday for dinner. Almost everything on the menu is good. But do try their Augratine, Crispy vegetables and their chocolate sizzler. Prices are reasonable and the staff are courteous. Kindly make prior reservation if you visit them on weekends.
High class veg restaurant... their biriyani soo rich and more tasty than any other non-veg biriyani... very apt delivery ... their munchurian is very good, not oily or over spicy... in my fav list
Bruschettas " Mexican Dishes in Shiv Sagar is pocket friendly and best of its taste. Place is small, service is fast, I love Mexican dishes in this Restaurant, The bread is rightly roasted, rich cheese garnishing served with salsa sauce. "Alpha Naresh Babu
Looks like a really small restaurant but is actually quite spacious. We had been there on a busy Saturday and the service was a bit slow but the food compensated for the same. Special mention for the methi roti. Great place to have good food while shopping
The foods tastes better than the other Rs shiv sagar outlets. The must try here is the thread paneer, gold coin and the awesome choco brownie sizzler(mind it its sufficient for 3 people). Quite reasonable and good food. Note - The place could be claustrophobic for a few.
Been a solid fan for many years now. Always enjoyed the food & friendly service every time. Value of for the money you pay every time. Would have given full marks but for the cleanliness - cleanliness of the tables, floor, surroundings - which is good but can be made definitely better.
For example the water glasses need to wiped dry before serving them. The bathroom certainly need to be cleaned frequently in a day. The tables need to be wet wiped properly and then a spray/swipe of disinfectant before the next service.

- Even though this looks like a small establishment from the outside, it is pretty big with multiple floors.
- The Space looks Classy, Neat.
Food Ordered
- Masala Dosa, Set Dosa, Manchow Soup, Tea.
Masala Dosa, Set Dosa
- The Dosa's were Delicious and full of flavour
- The Chutney and Sambar given were pure heaven!
Manchow Soup
- This was bland in taste, but transformed into yummy after adding some Tomato Ketchup + Soya Sauce.
- The Quantity was good.
- Service could be improved.
Thank you,
Anvitha K
Good restaurant for vegetarian it serves a very good options for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the speical delight is the chocolate fudge ice cream for just rs200
One of the Best Places when it comes to Food... All the Cuisines at par excellence... Even the best Authentic Indian Restaurants in town will be up for a challenge when it comes to food... nd Still I wud say *RS Shiv Sagar* will have an edge over them...
A must must try : Paneer Tikka Masala, Stuffed Capsicum Masala, Pudina Paratha... Butter Plain Dosa, Special Nachos, Sizzling Brownie etc...
The owners Mr. Ram & Shyam, always make sure to ask all there customers if everything is going fine... They don't miss a chance to improve... taking suggestions & feedbacks very positively... They truly set an example for their passion in food industry...
The Waiters & Managers are very welcoming... and I would say that in this segment the hospitality is certainly at it's best...
ComiCheers to the Chef for doing such a great job... :)
The place is a bit congested, but what can u expect from a place located near the centre of commercial street. If you are damn hungry then you will be disappointed by the waiting time. Most of the items were also not available. They even messed up with my order. The only good thing was the food quality and they cheapness. But If you are keeping high hopes from this place then you would be disappointed like I was.
Value for money! Good taste! But the restaurant is mostly crowded! So need to wait for sometime before you can eat! I had ordered tandoori stuffed mushroom for starter and pudhina paratha
The started was really good.
This place never disappoints. Smells so good when you walk in and that's a great hallmark. Had Sizzling Brownie and it was AWESOME. looking forward to go again soon.
The place is very crowded, i had cream and tomato soup mediocre, masala Papad tasted normal, baby corn manchurian was good, jeera rice was delicious and sizzlers was luscious, over all a good place to hang out with family and friends
Perfect for quick bite while shopping.
Comfortable seating, plenty options of food, good food, clean Restroom, good service.
Most of the staff and waiters are good.
Very crowded veg place - no place to park ..still always waiting .
Yummy veg North Indian food ..
I always order the Mughlai biriyani n chilly paneer .. absolutely yum..
N I always keep checking others plates too lol.. n they all look so yummy!!
Have tried Pav bhaji, mix veg starter n nachos too
Nachos was bad when we made it take away .. on next day .. cheese was definitely different !
Tried few more starters on my other visits and I had to bump up my rating
Sheekh kebab was spicy n yummy n Khumb khazana- I could eat it all day!
In my opinion, this restaurant is one of the few old restaurants which still is in a good shape and is usually crowded.
The initial impressions were not good. The waiter was bugging us with the order. The water which they served us was having a funny taste.
Me and my parents ordered an Onion Uthappa, a Triple Schezwan Fried Rice and a Special Enchilada.
All the food items were delicious. The Fried Rice amazed me the most. The presentation was beautiful. It was Plain on the outside, but when you cut into it, the gravy makes an appearance with beautiful colours. The taste was quite delicious too!
The ambience was good. The restaurant, however, was a little compact. There was no proper ventilation. A few people from the other tables ordered a dish called Sizzling Brownie where they pour chocolate over a hot plate which makes it sizzle. A few people, like me, dislike the smell of burnt chocolate. Due to the lack of proper ventilation, the smell lingered there ergo making the dining experience unpleasant.
In a nutshell, I would like to say that, my every visit to Shiv Sagar has been amazing. I hope that this restaurant improves further.
Tasty food- probably one of the best I had
Very courteous, helpful staff
Slightly cluttered sitting area, Ok ambience
Total value for money....
Your go to place when in Bengaluru. Located in commercial street this is a budget restaurant with nice starters and dishes like Spring Dosa, Bhel, paneer butter masala, Idli, coffee, Sev Puri and chocolate sizzler, with the dishes getting better in decreasing order. The Chocolate sizzler was so basic yet soo good that i dont have the words to describe that feeling. PS- Chocolate sizzler is a nice way to end your meal :p
Awsome place.... i have been going here since i was 5 year old kid... i love kofta , veg biryani , sizziling brownie... chole bhature is too good... and paneer butter masala also.. i can basically go on with a list.. best veg food in bangalore....
I keep visiting this restaurant every time I go to commercial street. A good place to eat after getting exhausted with all the shopping. They serve the best Paneer Manchurian, Yumm! It literally melts in mouth. Brownie sizzler is great too! It is usually crowded and getting a table requires a bit of patience. The only problem here is the ambience, they have leaky ceilings in the AC floor, quite unfortunate!
Even though their food is great and they've got a large variety their seating area feel conjusted and I wouldn't recommend it to someone claustrophobic ! I'd recommend anyone new to try their sizzling brownie which is their signature dish. I've tried their paneer, bruschetta and juice otherwise which were pretty decent.
One of the early Shiv Sagar outlet was here n whenever my family went for shopping.. We would end up eating here.. quality North Indian food n chats which are tasty is almost a hallmark of this place... They even try der hand in continental food... Which is actually good... Place is bit congested compared to their other outlets.. So waiting is a must in weekends.. So try going on weekdays if possible... Try all the chats in the evenings..n sizzlers too sizzle here! So if u happen to be near com.street... Don't miss out on this:)
This was the first restaurant I tried in Bangalore. Though they have many outlets in other areas other than Bangalore, but I guess you can find the best south Indian food in south only.
Tried uttapam, spring dosa and idli here.
Though uttapam and pao bhaji was good, I loved the spring dosa. They tried to blend the taste of Chinese and south and it turned out to be really good.
Service was quick and it was cheap and reasonable too.
Happy eating :)
This place is one of the best places to try chat in bangalore! After a long day of shopping at commercial street went here for dinner! Badam milk was amazing and had huge quantity . Sev puri was also good. A must try place in commercial street :)))
If only simple food can be made as well as this place... Located in the ever bustling Commercial Street it had amazing chats, you should definitely try the dahi Puri and sev Puri..
The main course has both north and south Indian dishes the paneer butter masala is amazing with a tinge of tanginess and a beautiful but not overused sweet flavour..
I've tried the Mexican as well and we liked it and had no complaints.
The sizzling brownie is one of the best I have ever eaten, the quantity isn't humongous so it's fitting for a desert and the brownie, ice cream and chocolate sauce form a brilliant combo.. The chocolate sauce as well isn't too excessive or sweet... So you can easily finish it.
Definitely recommend you try it if you're in the area !!
Right in the middle of commercial street....don't miss this place before you leave with your shopping bags....awsm restaurant to have veg food....do try their veg kofta nd masala kulcha....pocket friendly..
One of My favorite place when it comes for vegetarian food. Love there garlic stuffed mushrooms, kaju masala and jeera rice best thing to have it.
Price - 3.5/5
This place is situated at the heart of commercial street and has serves only veg food. Their dishes tend to have a taste unique to shiv Sagar.
It's extremely difficult to get a table here though. Average wait time is around 30 min
