Taste, ambience, service was good!
Hand on my heart, this is my most favourite pub in Bangalore! I absolutely love this place, thier food, thier staff, thier music, their ambience, the crowd, just everything about them. I have tried almost everything on thier menu (I'm talking about food😉) and there's nothing that I dislike😋😋 their taste in music is great, I even love the colour of thier walls 😅 when I walk in here, I feel like I'm partying at a good old friend's place 😊😊 I love thier staff, I like sitting by the bar when I'm here and chat with the guy who makes the cocktails! I've gone here with friends and also with my mum! This is the first and only pub I've taken my mum to, so this place is very special ❣️ (Btw, mum approves of this place too😍😍)
Was here with a business collugue recently. We sat inside in non smoking zone. The wooden decor gave a very nostalgic feeling. The music played was just at right volume and good selection of songs. The food was pretty good and tasty, we tried mutton chops, chicken roast, peanut masala, pepper chicken . All the dishes were tasty and rightly tempured.
The beer and service were average. The servers can make an effort to go by each table every 15 mins or so and check if folks need anything. Restrooms were clean. All in all, enjoyed ambience, food and music.

I really love the vibes of this place. Specially the ever and ever smiling staff here no matter how jam packed the place is.
A good friend of mine once visited this place along with me and said this place the decor n ambiance reminnded him of his days in Bruges.
Thai green curry with herbs rice big chiicken and veg are my favorite here . Because of the Thai curry does taste like indian curry here . And herbed rice has a very subtle flavour.
Nachos overload is a best accompaniment for a whiskey based cocktail. Like the amount of cheese it comes with.
Stuffed mushrooms - cheese stuffed mushrooms which are just out of the world .. really fresh n crunchy mushroom was used..

Average food taste. Feels like I hygenic. No parking facility or valet is the worst of all. Staff ok. No privacy and no taste for music. Feels like english pub without class. Not great for couples. Heavy on pocket. Positive side - great location and easy to locate. Crowded so end up having fun at the party. Good for groups. Suggestions - hygiene improvement, parking facility, improve food taste and some dishes needs attention for taste.
It's been 10 years in Bangalore and I've been to many pub and clubs but you guys just won my heart through my tummy and with your food. Your food is so delicious and so yummy I cannot explain. Thank you for giving me and my crew a wonderful night! Will be seeing you every month. ☺️😁❤️
Visited this place and loved the happy and positive vibe to it. The food was awesome and the service was quick. The space was crowded and had a great vibe to it. Definately enjoyed it
One of the best restaurants in Kalyanagar. Their food tastes yumm! The ambience and music is amazing. The staffs are very courteous too! I have been visiting this place for the last three years and the food taste is consistent, have never felt disappointed. Overall a must visit place! Highly recommend to try their appam and mutton stew.

Great Sea food, the crabs, fish are all fresh. The secret is to ask for the goan menu at the local. Geist beer is available which is awesome always! Man the goan food is fantastic! I love every bit of this place. Great crowd. Totally recommend!
A really nice and different ambience. The place had booths. Service was slow even on a thursday. We had ordered some shandy, classic fish and chips and the old monk chicken.
Recommended if one wants to experience good old pub scenes(no breweed beer, no funky decor - basic good food and drinks and an awsome ambience) of Bangalore

Take a trip down to THE LOCAL to experience the likes of an Irish pub. Located in the busy area of HRBR Layout in Kalyan Nagar, this old-school watering hole is the perfect blend of quaint and charming. From the moment you enter the place, you will be drawn to the magnetic and energetic atmosphere of the pub. The typical green walls teamed up with wooden planks and furniture is what makes this place a little Irish. They have decked up the walls creatively with vintage pictures and quirky artwork. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available but I would definitely recommend the outdoor seating.
The most interesting part is the bar counter which was very brightly lit up making it very vibrant. The front section of the indoor seating is filled with chairs and tables but a little further ahead, you will find cozy booths with stained glass lighting providing a somber spillage of light. The whole setting was in fact similar to the Mclaren’s Bar from the TV series How I Met Your Mother. They have a pretty good menu especially the signature cocktails section and small eats. The food was delicious and quite filling I must say. The place is usually crowded so don’t mind if someone doesn’t get to you immediately. However, the people working there are polite and courteous. If you want a great time catching up friends or family, I would highly recommend The Local.

Looking for a Millenial local pub which has full-on Goan vibes? This place is the one. Amazing vibes and will make you feel as if you have entered in Goa. Lively decor, wooden furniture, artefacts, wall decor just brings out those vibes. You will find this place is always buzzing with the young crowd. And the daily happy hours just acts as an icing on the cake.

The local is one of the oldest standing pubs of Bengaluru and is quite famous among millennials living nearby as the local drinking place.
The crowd is usually good and gets peppy with live music sessions. Its difficult to get a table during weekends.

The place has two sections, one with a live music set-up and the other is a bar kind of setting. Both the areas are good and the look gives you a British bar sort of feel. The food is good here and the place always has a lively crowd.
I had been to casa de Goa and had a delightful experience and was waiting to get into local and I am happy finally I could do so. The ambience of this place is excellent and even on a Sunday afternoon we did not find it very crowded or congested. The stewards are very humble and helpful and so was the food. We ordered chicken wings, satay, egg chilli, beef chilli, crispy chicken, pizza and brownie with ice cream and everything tasted good. The prices are reasonable and not too heavy on pockets. It's a nice place with some soothing music in the background. A must visit place if you want to save yourself from loud atmosphere.
One of the few places where they make really good Sangria. I also especially love their four cheese pizza, which is a must have for all the cheese lovers out there.

My favorite dish had to be the Beef Teriyaki - mind blowing. I also really dug through Tangy Potatoes & surprisingly the KFP - Kentucky Fried Paneer!!!

I chose to pair my Apple Pie with the Witty Wit. One may think that would be a clash in terms of acidity but in this case it worked wonderfully well. The tartness of the pie and with complimented each other. .

Kudos to the interior designer ! Nailed it ! The best interiors by far in any Bengaluru pub till date ! What it lacked was ventilation.
With a number of smokers it felt like a smoking only pub. If they improve the ventilation I am sure they can fix this issue!

Went to the place after seeing it on zomato. The ambience is decent. Food was good with chicken ghee roast in particular being excellent. Prices are okay.
A lively pub to listen to rock music, eat good food and chill.
The ambience is similar to that of a regular pub - dim lighting and small tables in a very compact space. The plus point is they play good music. They could definitely improve the seating and lighting a bit. Their service is decent. The pricing is okay - they have some attractive offers everyday. Coming to the drinks - you must try their cosmopolitan (cocktail), especially if you are a fan of the vodka cranberry combination. This place also serves one of the best beers - Beck's Ice, try it if you haven't. The food here is another plus point - good quantity and tasty. Try their veg cheese balls (not on the menu- but made it at our request), Mangalore chicken curry with neer dosa and the arrabiata pasta.
I'd definitely recommend this place.
We went out for a Friday evening out post our office shenanigans. We were 4 of us and following is my experience
Food- We were famished and ordered a large chicken BBQ pizza(The topping was yummy with loads of chicken cubes, olives, capsicum, onions, tomatoes and sweet sauce- Very well made), Chicken ghee roast (It was hot, spicy and you could feel that the chicken was cooked to perfection in ghee, we polished the plate within few minutes and ordered a repeat, Neer dosa was also well made
The Seer fry was just okay, the masala was over cooked, could have been better
For drinks we ordered a sangria (It was not well made, too many huge chunks of apples and it tasted too sweet)
The white wine was regular Chardonnay
Customer service- Good, people smile and keep an eye contact
Ambience- Rock music is what they were playing, there were outside seating arrangements with smoking zone and inside the AC is non smoking. Has that pin feeling
Value for money- Very reasonable
A happening place to chill out any day of the week. It's pretty packed always. The flavoured beer and teriyaki beef is a match made in heaven. The ambiance is definitely laid back to unwind from a hectic schedule.I'l Highly recommend this place to anyone .
The place is cool to hang out with the group. The crowd is good too. They have pitcher beer and that's a boost. The food was good. It did not burn the pockets and staff were very courteous.

Awash with places to eat, The local adds to the purpose of kalyan nagar. An outlet known for casual drinking and finger foods. It adorns with warm, rustic and cozy ambiance. Emanating vibes of an Irish pub. Wooden setup and English classic music soothes you in as soon as you reach. Might feel bit dark and dingy at start, but it will grow onto you. Music just enough to carry out your conversation and unwind.
The menu here gives you an option to choose from chettinad curry and bread stuff to pizza, quick bites and sizzlers. Drinks are moderately priced to cater all and craft beers certainly adds to the weight.
We started off with some finger foods and cocktails. A bond style martini, a peach ice tea accompanied with pesto chicken.
Tender pesto dressed chicken is the right appetizer to start with. Then, nachos loaded with chicken is something I like to start my meal as well. And glad to say, they were crispy ,baked and generous on cream and salsa.
Chicken steak:
Just another steak, with a cheese based sauce served on a bed of mashed potatoes which looked like a bit too much.Steak was cooked just right with slight hint of lime and rosemary.
Grilled fish:
Grilled basa served with salad and couscous with olive oil based sauce. No complaints for the fish, as it justified its texture by melting in mouth.
Old monk chicken: This is something new that we wanted to check. The prep felt like a sizzler and so it was. However the chicken had the hint of legendary old monk to it which made it stand out. This is something you might want to try too if you are open for something new.
We found no hiccups in service, whatsoever. And it certainly does justice to the place and vibe. Time spent here offers much respite to the tiered urban soul.

The Local is a great place with some really good non-veg food. The interiors with benches and low-light gives it a 'local' touch. Their Karaoke nights are fun! Music is usually loud.

For all the beef lovers you must try the - Teriyaki Beef.
A Sunday afternoon giving an old classic pub vibe this place is a must visit to all of you. They have happy hours throughout the week but one saddening part is they didn't have draught beer which is forgiven since it was a weekend and it's fair I guess. So I tried a cocktail called Tequila mojito which was really good. And for the food we had some starters like egg chilli and some potato wedges. Overall a good ambience!
We were looking for a place to spend Christmas Eve at and hoped on to this place by about 10 pm. There was a live music session and luckily we even got a table as soon as we reached.
The ambience is really warm with a rustic feel, wooden interiors and overall cozy vibe. Fell in live with the ambience immediately.
We ordered the turkey roast which was a christmas special there and a thin crust pizza. Also ordered a pitcher of their rum based cocktail. Everything was just perfect. The music was good, the food was amazing and the service was great. Had an amazing time there!

The food is sugandhim pushtivardhanam... Ghee roast chicken, neer dosa with beef curry, chicken pasta with pesto sauce. Nachos was okay, as it had less cheese and chicken, but who cares!
Desserts are a little monotonous. Again, who cares! Khana was so good that I can let these things go.

Though the area is conjusted, but food variety and drink variety are excellent. I liked the music karaoke as well where you can participate voluntarily.

This is small and nice place, good service. New brewing though. Have valley parking. I guess service is there key focus. Not a very big place good for small hang out. Crowd was ok types saw few student crowd as well. Didn’t notice AC there in case you plan to go there in summer.

This was definitely on. MY list being the rating it has got.. A perfect place for a get together..food was awesome but one disappointed thing we faced was the brewed beer getting over by 8.35 on a Saturday night when the fever was getting started.. We went there to have brewed beer leaving all brewery but as usual expectations hurts..pizza was good.. And we got Complimentary single. Malt drinks of 3 varieties from John Paul brand which was very good..ambience was alps very good staff very supportive.. But only thing on the advice plate would be to keep a good stock of the brewed beer because we love beers..!!
Overall, The Local offered a mixed bag. The atmosphere was electric, the music was top-notch, and the service was friendly and efficient. But the food and drinks could definitely benefit from some chef TLC. A little more culinary creativity and consistency could turn The Local from a fun night out into a truly memorable dining experience.

What amazing music to compliment Toit brew!!! Food was good if not outstanding. Had an amazing time with friends and family. The classic 80-90s live band and music along with the classic set up was such a treat to the soul and mind. Couldn't resist shaking a leg!! Keep it up Local!! Would visit many more times!!

Reminiscent of the good old pubs of Bangalore in the 90s. Food was great and the prices of drinks are unbelievable!! The music was retro which we enjoyed. They have Karaoke nights on Thursdays and a band playing on Sunday afternoons.
This place never disappoints in terms of food. Everything we ordered was excellent. Also note that they have happy hours on weekdays.
Tried the garlic naan and dhaba style chicken curry and that combination was really good.

At The Local be The Local, rustic and beautiful place to unwind yourself specially during afternoon time. Quite and nice place to enjoy be with your friends or loved ones. If you love your drink enjoy uninterrupted varied choice with happy hours offers. Service is quite prompt with smile. If your are local must try too. We just had 3 pitchers of KF beer , enjoyed winding the nostalgic moments with batch mates.
This is a know place around here and is on the top floor with smoking as non smoking area. This also has high chairs facing the windows. They also play cool music here. Food is good here and even the drinks, they also have options of Toit beer here. Cost is bit on the higher side but okay for the location it is at.
