Great food, good wine selection. Exclusive Japanese menu. Very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable staff. great gourmet menu. Mutton Raan, Bamboo Biriyani, Dragon Roll, Melting Globe is a must have at this place. Special mention to Karthik, Restaurant manager who will take well care of you from start to finish. Chef Shiva for his Japanese culinary skills. their hospitality Keeps bringing you back to this place again and again. Great place to enjoy with your family and friends.
Very nice ambience and really good food! Must try - Bamboo biryani & Japanese Cuisine. And also Melting globe dessert. Something different from the other usual restaurants! Will definitely go here again and strongly recommend others as well :)
It's a great place with awesome food...... a must visit place
Hatoda chicken & Bamboo briyani is the best combination to try ...
It's nice place for food enthusiast to explore continental foods in the Banglore.
Mutton bamboo biryani was awesome. The chicken starters were served on stone. Loved the presentation n ambiance.
Good food, they don't have too many items in the list, but whatever is done, it is exceeding expectations.
They have a good team.
Also, the team is very hospitable
Awesome food and perfect rooftop ambience. Loved it !!
Tried the Japanese Menu and it was delicious ... Must try for every sushi lover
Absolutely amazing place.. the decor is very neat nd beautiful at the same time... Nd the food wins your heart... True to its name, there is definitely a theatrical effect in the presentation of every creation by the chefs.. there is drama nd the food speaks to you.. everytime is see a dish, I feel an aww.. cheers to the team for all the hard work..
What a great place amidst the greenery of HSR layout. Love the view. The sushi here is the best I've had till date. They have beautiful outdoor seating. Must try their beverages. Good ambiance. Great place for a small or large group. Highly recommended 👌

I love asian food and this place was close to my place. It was crowded even during a weekday. We ordered California maki and glazed pork dish ( can't remember the exact name). California maki is a maki roll with avacado and crab and the pork dish was suggested by the staff. We loved both and they were helpful and did some changes in the pork according to our taste. The disappointing part was the dessert. Ordered cheesecake and tiramisu and both were heartbreaking. Cheesecake was not worth it and tiramisu was just ok. Overall it's a good place with a good vibe and good Asian food. I will definitely want to go there when I will get asian food craving again.
If you want to enjoy exotic food with a view, then this is the place to be..Broadway located in HSR Layout,Sector 1 serves amazing Japanese, Thai and Indian Food. The USP of this place is Sushi and Bamboo Biryani.
Staff is courteous and service is prompt.
What we ordered
1. French Fries- 3.5/5
2. Sake Maki-5/5
3. Prawn Yaki Udon-4/5
4. Chicken Bamboo Biryani -5/5
What we liked:
1. Ambience
2. Food
3. Courteous Staff
This place is a bit expensive but worth every penny you spent.
Great food and amazing ambience! Their bamboo biriyani and dal makhani deserves a special mention! One of my fav places to dine in 🙂
It's is a very good place to go out dining. The staff is really courteous who give suggestions that are apt to your taste. The menu is varied from bamboo biryani to sushi to mocktails to coffee and more. The plus factor is it is as good a place for family outings as with office group or friends. The food is a treat to the eyes and soul. The place offers both outdoor and indoor seating to choose from. Though the cost might seem on higher side to some, the ambience actually makes for it which is really nice with slow music. They even played a birthday song when they got to know it was a birthday we were celebrating 😊 #food #impressed #awesomefood
We ordered the mango chilli martini, veg banga roll and California roll and Japanese cheesecake for dessert. The food was absolutely delicious! The ambience is also great!
Crazy crowd on Saturday evening. We had to wait for almost half an hour to get table. Food is amazing. They have great variety of veg and non-veg sushi. Good service. Table booking recommended.
Lovely afternoon lunch. Everything we ordered was great, staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the price was reasonable for 4 people with drinks, 3 starters and 2 mains. Overall a very good experience and will be back soon to try the bamboo Biryani.
If you think sushi, Broadway is the place! Can't go wrong! 🖤 🍣
Ask the server for recommendations!!!
They have great veg options too
On our second visit, tried the Yasai maki veg - great sushi with cute strawberry topping. Next was Yasai gyoza (veg dumplings) 🥟- nothing extraordinary. But worth a try.
They have a live counter as well. We called for the Yasai yaki (teppan grill veggies) with chef special sauce which was a bit of burnt garlic flavour and went well with the crunchy veggies..
For main course we tried the Dolsot bibimbap . Which is sticky rice and loads of veggies with a spicy sauce - would definitely try this again in another combination..
Don't forget to order a glass of wine to go with this scrumptious meal😊🍷
Absolutely amazing place. The sushi is amazing. Have gone 2+ times and was amazing both the times.
Latil the stewardess gave very good service. Second time and she is polite and gives good suggestions and is very nice. Thank you for a really good experience every time I come here.👍
Loved the food here and polite staff. Food was really good , specially Bamboo Biryani
Anup gave a great service. We enjoyed the food a lot. Great service. Great taste. Great ambience. Great food quality.
Amazing food, ambience, and hospitality!
Loved the sushi and the desserts. Amazing rooftop seating with a picturesque view of the city.
Came here as it was recommended. Worth it.
I recommend it as well.
For starters :
- Salmon Sushi : Did not like the bread crumbs.
It was8 piecies. Actually could have ordered 2 dishes of 3.
Main :
- Chicken Soba Noodles & Grilled Chicken
Tasty.
Used Zomato gold for drinks.
Service was good.
Overall it was good.

Broadway Gourmet Theatre is my go-to place in HSr for any celebratory mood. The ambiance is fine. I like this place also because I can have a conversation with food and service is good. When it comes to food, they have two menus, one is Japanese and one is Indian. Japanese is my more preferred one because I like the sushi here. Sake maki, Ebi Tempura Maki, California, fire sale maki, are just so amazing. They also have an elaborate menu for vegetarian sushi, which I don't personally believe in, but it is good to have options. They also quite delicious udon noodles. Indian menu also has some gems too I like the Fish Koliwada and Mutton Habibi Champ. I liked most chicken and mutton dishes I've tried here.
They also have really good cocktails. The waiters generally give good suggestions. Amongst desserts, try the melting globe. Its a sight for eyes and your taste buds.
OMG! Amazing food, great staff n awesome ambience
what more do you need?
Been here with my best half on an occasion. Service is really good.
The teppanyaki setup is within the enclosed area. There is a outdoor seating as well.
The sushi is great. Teppanyaki pork was ok ok. Not sure if its my coorgi tongue which was expecting more pepper n garlic. Overall a nice place to visit be it vege or non vege
Went with family. Some veg and some non veg amongst us and all of us got enough variety to choose from. Sushi both veg and non veg were good. Starters were good. Paneer could have been better. Everything else was very good.
Although the place is a little nondescript, it's not until one eats the food they serve, does one realize exactly why the place is so popular.. they excel in Indian n Japanese cuisine including the desserts.. if fish isn't your thing, go for the vegetarian maki.. it's worth a shot.
Located on the heart of HSR next to Agara lake, the restaurant give splendid view of bangalore. The ambiance is very good. The food has multiples varieties of veg and non-veg. Food tastes the best. The service staff is very friendly. On the table buffet is at its best. Good location for team lunch. Pricing is on a higher side.
Actually this one is Table Buffet type where you will get all unlimited side dishes and main courses. Ambience is very nice and service is good. Need some improvement in taste and can increase the starter counts as well.
Best sushi this side of town
Quiet spacious and airy is the very first impression you get as you enter this place.
[FOOD]:The menu is spread over japanese, korean and also north Indian cuisines.. It has a separate Japanese menu all together which offers a varied sushi’s to pick from . So if you are a sushi fan you must visit this place and you will absolutely love them too. The Jalapeno and cheese croqueets been the other favourite among veg options.
For the main course we wanted to explore the the indian menu and tried the brunoise subz ( which was very different from any monotonous sabji) and is highly recommendable. The bamboo biryanis are a big rage here and i completely support that it should be too . Quiet a different thing and very nicely presented.
Last but not the least , they do have an ellaborate desserts menu as well and if you have a sweet tooth then would not recommend to leave without tasting a few.
As for me my favourite would be ‘ the melting globe’ .
Food rating would be 5/5
[SERVICE] : The staffs are highly courteous . We visited on a weekday afternoon when the place was predominantly empty and the service was absolutely up to the mark.
Service rating would be 4/5
[VALUE FOR MONEY]: This place is absolutely pocket friendly for the kind of food and ambiance they provide.
Hence this place is highly recommendable .
I was very excited to try this multi cuisine restaurant. As we entered the restaurant the crowd as well ambience was good and relaxing. The cocktail were good. Food wise vegetarian food tastes okay. I tried paneer fritters which was good. Veg maki roll were really disappointing. Biryani was okay I felt like the portion could be a bit more. Overall an okay experience
Came here with one of my close friends for a celebration.
The place didn't surprise me as it was as lovely as it first seemed on zomato!
Great Ambience, service and food.
:)
We were searching for Sushi places in bangalore and this place showed up . Thought of giving it a try and trust me it was totally worth it.
They have a wide range of sushi to choose from . We had Make Sushi and Nigiri Sushi . The sushi’s were mouth watering. Would definitely go back to this place again.
Also the menu teaches you how to use a chopstick.
It's one of a kind restaurant in Bangalore. Ambience is on point. Waiters and servers are polite and knowledgeable. Food is unique and amazing. We tried everything dragon roll sea bass teppanyaki prawn it's was amazing, Yakima udon noddle teppanyaki fried rice, and dessert. Great experience overall, although it's a bit expensive
We were looking to go somewhere with good food and ambiance for a birthday treat. We found this place and tried it. That was a very good decision. The food choices are great and the Japanese food is delicious. We kept ordering Japanese cuisine. The staffs were very helpful, they explained the menu and gave their suggestions which was great. This place is now our recommendation to everyone we know.
Lovely crab sushi and the beef grill was very well done! Highly recommended for 🍣.. would love to make this my regular go to place for sushi!!!
The shushi was great. We tried miso soup and a Japanese rice dishe which was quite average
Food and Service. Simply Awesome!
The lasagne was really very good in taste. The desserts were also fresh and tasty .Nice food presentation .Nice variety of drinks .Good experience dinning here and recommended from my side .
Good place for authentic Japanese food. Food is tasty and ambience is good. Even the indian food is top notch. We ordered sushi and maki and both were top notch. Must visit if you are looking for good food.
Nice to have a different menu in the locality. The food is amazing!!
Garden city forest fusion Maki roll Shabu Shabu.
I was skeptical of the Japanese cuisine here as I'm a vegetarian. I was happily surprised with an amazing dinner. I ordered the Maki Roll which was perfectly made and tasted amazing. Wasabi added to the taste. Teppanyaki was moderate. Shabu Shabu was a different dish and I had it for the first time. The glass noodles were smooth and the rice was impeccable. Rainforest fusion was average but garden city mocktail made up for it!
Would definitely head back here for the food and try the other dishes in their vast spread.
Also. This place does not have a valet. Surprised to find this missing at a premium restaurant.
We really love this place, mainly for Sashimi! We think Sashimi here is the best in Bangalore. We have tried Sashimi at other Japanese restaurants in Bangalore, but here is much more fresh, tasty and cheap. We are from Japan and would like to recommend this restaurant to all Sashimi lovers. We also appreciate that wine bottle is offered in very reasonable price. Thank you for the restaurant, we will visit you soon!!
Enjoyed the food too, might give detailed review after another visit ...definitely a repeat for me!
A great place to dine! We had the entire rooftop for our family to enjoy a peaceful lunch. Great taste of spicy food 🥘. Tawa Chicken Fry was spicy and had great taste, tandoori chicken was excellent. Bamboo Biryani was good but could have been better. Overall a great place to dine!

One of the best restaurants in locality...must try their bamboo biriyani and melting globe dessert...already been there for 4 times .....would surely go back again....♥️
A fine dining place with a quiet ambience for a good conversation over good food. They offer a wide range of sushi, also continental and other asian dishes. We ordered Sashimi Salmon, California Maki and Veg Lasagna. The crab sushi tasted amazing and the salmon was good too but the lasagna was a little too salty.
The place is definitely a worth try for the varied choices of sushi.
We have visited this restaurant for a general get together of 5 friends. We ordered multiple things but yeh quantity was less as compared to the price offered.
Sushi, sea food, cocktails, mocktails, biryani are good., coconut soup I found very interesting.,
Taste and ambience wise it’s a good place but bit expensive when it comes to quantity..
We come across very less restaurants where you wanna go again and again. This restaurant is one of them, I so loved the food there that I want to visit it again and again. Great ambience, very nice staff and killer food. Bamboo biryani is just yum and grilled salmon is something else. Really loved it. Keep it up!!!
When someone tell you "hey, I had hathoda chicken" the only word strikes you is Hathoda.
Only place in Bangalore to serve hathoda chicken is Broadway. Marinated chicken wrapped in banana leave and covered with thick layer of clay is cooked for 45 min in tandoor and lot of ghee is poured before serving. This is served with Olive Naan and believe me it actually has lot of olive.
They have amazing fusion cuisine in the menu. From Indian, continental to Japanese.
Amazing experience with food and if combined with Zomato Gold then experience gets doubled 😋
Food quality is superb. My friends and I were given a seat at the rooftop area. Although the ambiance in the rooftop area is not at par with the main seating area, it wasn't a concern for me. Bhaskar, the waiter showed utmost professionalism while serving our table. His behaviour was extremely polite and he made sure that we enjoyed the food being served. Would definitely recommend everyone to try out this place (with prior booking, as it's crowded on weekends).
Loved it. We went on a Saturday evening. It was crowdy as expected. Had to wait for 20+ min to get a table. Food was really good. Have to go again to explore more. Service is bit slow, but I don't think they cant so anything on that considering the huge rush.
We went for team lunch .we enjoy the food and service. We order some sushi it was excellent.then order for bamboo biryani also good.Manager and staff was very courteous and helpful.Excellent service and good food .i wil be back soon.
I ended up here when my best friend wanted to have Sushi in HSR. It's a fancy place with the best service and hygiene. Wanted to try their Bamboo Biriyani, but like I told, friend wanted to have Sushi. We ordered Dragon Link with Salmon and California Maki (Crab). Both were really good. Personally, I liked Salmon more especially because it was topped with Salmon Eggs. So, we ended up ordering that again. Ambience and view from the rooftop is great. On the whole, I would recommend this place to anyone who comes to HSR.
I liked the place. All in all, good food, great ambiance, great staff and the best part is the live cooking counter. I liked the Japanese menu. I have been a fan of Japanese cuisine and I can say you should try some maki over there.
This restaurant has very prompt service, great view and a very courteous staff. The food that they provide is of such good quality and flavour, they have paid attention to all the small details. Would definitely go back!
I had been here with family... It's an excellent place for an evening dinner. Chicken hathoda and olive naans are to die for. Indeed extraordinary cooking techniques used for few cuisines on the menu card!
A must try place if you are a foodie😍😍😍
The vegetarian sushi there was delicious and exciting to eat. It was the first time I had ever eaten sushi because I am a vegetarian and you don't generally find veg sushi. Good waiters, hygienic
A warm and cozy place to try out Japanese cuisine. The presentation and taste both are excellent. My fav place in HSR layout. Udon noodles are a must try. Even the Indian Cuisine is awesome.
Must try in Indian: Nalli Rogan Josh; make it spicy, Mutton Raan and Hathoda Chicken.
Tasty food with full of flavors, good service and awesome view with full of greenery of iblur military area.
Best sushi in Bangalore hands down,Special mentioned to courteous and polite staff. My experience at Broadway has always been great.
Highly recommend.
The ambience was elegant with good music being played in the background, you can also see Live sports here.
The food was really good! Chef special Salmon Sushi rolls were amazing. Apart from very good Japanese food, the north Indian food was also decently nice and had good flavour.
The service was on point with the people being polite and helpful across the board from sitting in, ordering to paying the bill.
I went for lunch. Right now, the place is under renovation, so it's not ideal if you want outdoor seating. They have a lot of choices on the menu. They even have a Japanese menu with authentic sushi and other dishes. I found the prices to be on the higher side compared to other restaurants. I ordered chicken wings, but unfortunately, they were not fresh. I hope they improve the quality because I'd rate it 1 out of 5 in terms of quality. One of the best pink sauce pasta I have tried ( please add more broccoli it will make it even more delicious) -must must try
A good place for a family to dine out, limited space hence might have to spend time outside for a seat.
Shushi is good here, sticky fried rice is also good. First time I got to try mutton tandoori champs which turned out to be good.
Parking is on the street and only available if there is less traffic.
Decent place, not a Japanese special but they served good Japanese food. 5 ⭐ to the taste. Tried veg Sushis (fried asparagus) and I tell you, it's a must try. They were right up there (if not better) than the most commonly ordered ones like tempura and salmon. It's highly recommended!
The place is okay with not so bad food.
Must try dishes would be their bamboo biriyani and Thai curry. The desserts are okay but nothing great.Unless you absolutely want something sweet post food, avoid and have at nearby cafés instead.
The Ambience was underwhelming to be honest. For a name like Broadway - Gourmet Theatre would have expected a little more pizazz. But don't let that fool you, the food was really nice. Raw Papaya Salad, Tom Kha Soup Veg and Tempura Veg Sushi were simply amazingly tasty!
We went for a team dinner at this location. We really enjoyed the food. Though it is a Japanese restaurant, they also serve north Indian food cuisine. We ordered Veg Sushi in starter and Paneer lababdar, Dal fry in main course along with Nan roti. Food was very delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it. In desserts we tried out the melting globe which is worth trying. Service was also good and they were not taking a lot of time in food preparation.
Great place for having a taste of Japanese cuisine. A bit pricey, but the food was really tasty. We had the sushi - salmon ,and loved it's taste . Would recommend.
The chocolate eclairs was the only thing which wasn't that great taste wise.
I tried sushi for the first time. It tasted very good.
They serve alcohol too.
Ambiance ✅
We are noodles, along with some coolers.
Good ambiance n atmosphere. Their live sushi n teppanyaki counter is an attraction. The prices are definitely on the higher side with respect to quantity served. The food although was delicious. Parking is on the road as they don't have any parking.
I recently tried the bibimbap, hot wings, and grilled salmon at this restaurant. The bibimbap was visually appealing and flavorful, with fresh ingredients and well-seasoned meat. The hot wings were just okay. The grilled salmon was well cooked, it was not moist, and accompanied by saffron sauce (ginger garlic sauce was also available in menu), rice and vegetables. Overall, the restaurant offered diverse menu.
A pretty restaurant in HSR. The food here is pretty good, and the service is fine as well. The ambience is good, with an outdoor seating area as well.
Ordered sichwan lotus roots, veg chef's lasagna and veg yaki udon. Lotus roots were totally amazing, crispy and really delicious. Udon noodles were good as well, perfectly cooked. Lasagna was not that great though. It was a bit overcooked. We ordered a few drinks as well, and they were great as well. For dessert we ordered Japanese macha foundant. It was so tasty, with an interesting macha flavour. Dessert was really the star of the entire lunch.
Overall, I enjoyed the experience there. Would totally recommend it.
Food was great, ambience, and good service. All the dishes were good and wasn't disappointing. Sushi was authentic and presented very well. Loved the Melting Globe.
They have a very wide menu with all sorts of asian and contemporary food. The bibimpap was very very good. The staff and ambience is on point too.
I am definitely biased choosing this restaurant over and over, due its varieties of choices to offer and some are my top favorite - Sushi ranges (Rise of Dragon and Samurai are art by themselves!), Dahi ke kebab, Tomyum soup, Thai Green Curry, Staffed Chicken breasts, Nalli Nihari (Mutton), Dub Chingri (Prawns cooked inside coconut), Mutton Raan (fiery). You probably already guessed I have been there multiple times, and thats true!
Broadway - The Gourmet Theatre, HSR. Its decently priced, u may not get ambiance but good food. Some things to avoid though, as they are not up to the mark - Their nachos and staffed chicken kebab (red). Tiramisu, Cotton cheese cake, Chocolate melting globe are interesting deserts there. They serve wine/beer/whiskey too, but didn't try
The best grilled butter prawns I ever had 🥰The herb chicken steak was amazing😙. They have amazing service and the most polite staff. 😊
This is an amazing date place, a hangout place with friends, and a family dining place.
Even the blueberry cheese cake is a must try😁
On October 11, 2023, our team had the pleasure of dining at this establishment for our corporate team dinner. The food was truly exceptional, and the service provided was nothing short of excellent. This venue proved to be an excellent choice for our team dinner, and we highly recommend it.
Loved it. Highly recommend this place if you want to experience a multitude of flavours.
Indeed go here for their Japanese cuisine, but also try their continental, asian, Indian cuisine, which was equally amazing.
What I liked about the food was that it was very flavourful and well presented. The food came pretty fast as well.
The service was excellent, with a smile and the recommendations for which food to try all turned out to be superb.
Parking is tricky and you can get lucky to find it on a few meters on the main Street or in a small lane a few meters ahead.
Their balcony seating on the 4th floor is good during winters, but it carries vehicular noise from the main street below so conversations are impacted. All in all a very good experience.
