I have been to this place a number of times. What I love here is the buffet they have to offer. The spread has a mix of all south indian dishes majorly Kerala cuisine. The food tastes good here but I found ala carte quite pricey here. However it is a good place to try out.

Mutton stew and appam is down right comfort food for me and it’s also one of my favourite dishes from the south. Aromas of south has one of the best and most eclectic selections of South Indian food. There staff are very friendly and food of good quality. There coconut cold kheer is deliciamo.

I particularly liked the variety and choice available from the Southern Indian Menu. A group of old friends came for a special meal and we had the lunch buffet. The staff were very accommodating and helpful even though one of our group was running late and we went past the buffet timings. Thank you.

perhaps the most diverse south indian menu I have seen in Bangalore.Food from all our 5 home states left me scratching my head. Came the stewards to rescue us, suggesting simple combinations of these delicacies.
Cheers!

Best dinner and experience we had around here.

All places around here are pricey but this was the best by far. Better value for money although everything around here is overpriced but comparing what you get for your money, this is the best for your many bucks.

Traditional ly welcomed, The dishes were displayed in the earthenware with flaming wax below. The veg section were excellent sambar, rasam and curd rice all well made. The white rice was good, I tried brown rice with sambar and it tasted real good. Lemon rice was also good. The non veg section were served with super appams aided with Kerala fish curry , the chicken was real bad in the gravy, but the gravy was good. Biryani was very dry, the Hyderabad style does not match with these dishes. Payasam with rava ladoo as desert was yummy. Worth the money, go once. The ambience is class. Excellent customer service.

We have visited this restaurant repeatedly, and every visit has been a pleasure! Do make sure you ask them for an extra basket of the garlic friams, addictive! I have been there once for the lunch buffet, and all the dishes were excellent, especially their raw mango dal! For dinner, I usually ordered Aapam, with a myriad of sides! Be sure to try their tender coconut payasam! It is truely delicious!

I have been to this place many times and I quite appreciate it.

The best thing about this place is the variety in their menu which have tastes from all four south Indian states.

Yesterday I had gone to this place and we had Mangalorean Fish, Chettinad Chicken, Avial along with Appam and Parotha. They give one of the best Appam's in City. And the fish was awesome.

I would definitely recommend this place.

This place is located on Crescent road Opp. to the Mallige Hospital.

Always wanted to go here ,didn't have the right occasion to visit but last month, my old friends invited me here for a reunion and it was awesome. We had selected the Buffet lunch there and it was a blast !

The menu is very well designed and the choice of Dishes are excellent. There is variety all around the table and nice collection to choose from. We eventually had to taste everything and I really liked the Mangalore dishes and Kerala dishes here.

The service is good. The staff is courteous and attentive. The rest of the starters on the menu is good enough and its worth every penny coming here.

Ambiance 3/5
Taste 3.5/5
Service 4/5
Value for money 3/5 Not reasonable but worth it !

Cheers.

We walked into Aromas of South for a quiet dinner on a Sunday night. The ambience was comfortable, albeit a little uninspired, with village motifs on one side and alphabets in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam adorning the wall opposite.

Having said that, it was fairly evident that the restaurant is very popular with families. Coming to the food, the menu is neatly divided by state across the starters and main courses sections. A bowl of rasam for each diner and a basket of garlic papad was complimentary at the start of the meal, accompanied with a few condiments such as pickle, coconut chutney, dried green chillies, and pudi.

We tried the Urulai Malli Varuval, a starter from Tamil Nadu, which was baby potatoes marinated in coriander and coconut and deep fried. As anyone would guess, you can't really go wrong with deep fried potatoes. The marinade had a slight tang to it and I quite enjoyed this dish. Bizarrely, it was accompanied with tomato ketchup, but I enjoyed the combination nevertheless. We also tried the Kozhi Thengai Masala--a dish from Kerala made with chicken pieces marinated in spices with coconut, fennel, and curry leaves. Expecting it to be spicy, I actually found the flavors surprisingly mild. Yet, it tasted great. I suspect some others may find it a tad bland though.

With starters out of the way, we next tried the Karaikudi kasha masala--chicken in a spicy chettinad gravy--with steamed rice. The combination worked well and once again, I was glad that the dish wasn't overly spicy. We also tried Malabari Avial with appams and this was perhaps the most delightful combination of the evening. Soft and fluffy appams with tangy seasonal vegetables in a yoghurt based curry, what's not to like! I couldn't help notice that appams were flying left, right, and centre and I would think that this is easily the most popular meal accompaniment here.

You do get alcohol here, so it isn't such a bad option to bring your friends here, if you're in the mood for a great south indian fine dining experience. All in all, I found the whole dining experience quite pleasant if not thoroughly mindblowing. But sometimes, "pleasant and quiet" is all you need and this place fits the bill perfectly. I'll certainly be going here again!

I am a South Indian so when I go out for dinner I don't prefer to have South Indian food. I like to try new cuisines. But this restaurant was really different. Dad took the family out for dinner here one day.
The food was pretty good. Authentic South Indian food.
Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra and Karnataka. They cover it all.
I remember having a tender coconut paisam. It was the best thing I had ever tasted. So refreshing. So tasty.
Good place. Good ambiance. Good food.

The restaurant is appropriate for dining with family because of the ambience, polite staff and good food.

You never seem to have enough crisps with the soup on a chilly night. The other appetizers are descent. We had the appam with fish curry for main course and it was prepared well. The appams were served hot, the way they should be. The biryani was average. The yelaneer payasam was chilled, not too sweet and perfect to end the meal with.

To sum it up: It’s a descent place to dine in. Prices are reasonable and you could go, give it a try!!!

This is my husnband's favourite place for two reasons
1. Right next building to his office
2. The waiters know him these days and they dont even ask him what does he want, So he is a happy guy.

Ambiance : Its a hotel , so the ambiance in the lobby is good. It will feel like a fine dining place .

Service : would specially like to mention about their services , The staff is really polite and smiling always, they will make you feel good .

One day we went there for breakfast and they just hadbuffet , no a la carte but the waiter came and politely told that they dont serve a la carte in the morning .

Food : Husband's favourite here is the biryani and he loves it there , I havent had anything here except the coffee but the food and prices look reasonable.

You can try it out.

I have been here at least 4-5 times. Been here for a kerala food fest 4-5 months back which was good. My last visit here was yesterday. There Buffet set up is purely south India, dominated by Kerala Cuisines. No Starters for the Buffet which make things strange. 3 Non Veg items in the buffet main course ( 1 fish and 2 chicken). Taste is ok, but i believe they have to improve a lot, especially there service. People has to literally fight to get Appam from the counter.

Recommendation:- Can try if you like South India spicy Menu's

Ordered vegetarian food for dinner. Got a wide range of starters - Soup (Sweet corn/Veg clear soup, Tomato soup and Drumstick soup), Crispy American sweet corn, chilly mushroom, baby corn Manchurian, fried panner etc in addition to main course - Pulka, Appam, Dal kitchdi, palak rice, curd rice, ghee roast mushroom, masala mushroom etc. Appam was good & pulka was very hard. Ghee roast mushroom was very spicy. Overall it is a decent restaurant but a bit on the expensive side.

This place has authentic taste of regional dishes. We had ordered for malabar chicken and avial and sambar and rice. All were delicious. Wait time is 20 min approx. Which is fare because they cook fresh. Fresh juice is costly. Other items were reasonably priced. Service is good. Service charge was included in the bill. There is valet parking. Neat and clean mens room.

Awesome food. We had Chettinad and Andhra chicken, pomphret fry, Kerala parotas, appams, wheat rotis. Every dish was tasting good. The ambience is perfect for a family dinner. The staff was friendly and courteous. Importantly the price for 4 was 1.6k, which is lesser than many of these useless overpriced hotels around in the city. Will visit again.
