Amazing place with cool ambience place to relax with hygienic food loved it
Vegetarian South Indian fare offered in a bungalow setting with antique furniture & green lawns.
Picture here is the jowar roti meals which was scrumptious filled with variety of options .
This is such a nice place to visit and taste good food with good ambiance. The staffs treat you so well in this place
I have been here twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner.
This is one of the best places to visit as a short ride from Bangalore or you are traveling from or away from Bangalore.
They have amazing ambience, wide green lawn and ethnic brass utensils in which they serve food is main attraction.
Food here is also good priced very decent for there ambience and service.
Weekend dinner with my gang of 12 ppl went great with huge wooden table and candle light setup with amazing service, had a great time.
Vattika is around 40kms away from the Bangalore city.
Drive to this place for a long drive and a peaceful ambiance.
They serve some really delicious South Indian delicacy, they also serve North Indian and Chinese.
It gets completely jam packed on weekends, getting a table would be a great task.
Try getting there a bit early, by 7 maybe!
It is a very beautiful place. It has got an amazing ambience. You can sit here peacefully. The staff members were polite and helpful. The food tastes good.
It is a quite and serene gateaway from Bangalore within 40kms. Went for breakfast. If not for anything else the place deserves five stars just for their ambiance. But the food they serve is also great. The rava dosa was too good. If you go for lunch do try their amazing thalis. Service is prompt and good.
Malgudi Vattika is one of my favorite breakfast stop on Mysore road. The ambience is so snoothing with a wide range of south indian breakfast options and amazing service.
If you love to go for long drive early morning must try it out yourself to get authentic south indian breakfast feels.
This place in Mysore road is a good place to have food before/after a long drive . I have visited this place twice . Earlier I have had breakfast but this time I went during lunch and tried their special Jollada roti Oota . It’s a weekend special Thali with Jollada roti . I really liked it . The Thali is filled with different delicacies of Karnataka . It was super tasty. The Meals are super filling and quantity is good .
It's a nice place to get out of Bangalore for a short drive and nice food, only vegeterian though. Ambiance is set up in parallel lines of Malgudi days stories. Food is nice and is service is good.
It was an impromptu visit to Vattika, while returning from Manchanabele Dam. We just googled and dropped in here, as we couldn't find any decent restaurants near by. And to our surprise, it was not decent... But more than what we asked for. A garden restaurant with lantern lighting and a calm ambience, it made our evening suprisingly awesome. Staffs are very courteous, esp. Vijay (from Hobli).
And yes... About the food! It complemented the ambience, not too rich not too bland but perfectly balanced.
Being a non-vegetarian, I recommend this Vegetarian restaurant, so you can assume how good it it.
If you're on Mysore Road, it's a must visit. You will not regret it.
Bang on the highway, amidst some greens this place offers a breath of fresh air literally. The setup and ambience will remind you of Malgudi Days for sure (for those who know). Service is good and food is good too. I'd recommend to go when you have a bit of extra time to enjoy the food at leisure. A rainy day would be even better.
Long Drive , Rains and Nice rustic village like cafe to order chai and Bajji .... What else you would ask for ?
We have been here twice on the way to Mysore . Ideal place to go for breakfast or evening snacks ,after a long drive. Greenary and old rustic charm of this place is unparalleled!! Food is good , specially tea . Service is average .
Loved this ambience. Best place for a family outing. Reminds us of our childhood days. Green lushed place ,wooden benches, lanterns and a cart. Ambience supercedes the food taste.
Vattika, Mysore road.
It was awesome place, it's like vintage lifestyle.
Everything is good but thier service was little slow, and taste also quite good, Best place to hangout with family and friends. Kids will like this place. And especially it's a outdoor sitting and it's well maintained, very neat place.

Such a peaceful place this is. Lovely seating both outdoor and indoors and the food is nice too. There was a lot of things not available on the menu and for some reason there is limited things which they serve for the outdoor portion but the food is good and that why I'm giving this place 4 stars. If you are traveling to and from mysuru, please take some time out and spend it here.
Great food. Great service. Great setting. Inside-Outside, Garden view. Everything is just amazing about this restaurant. The original historic setting with great vegetarian food and lots and lots of variety.
I have been here multiple times (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and I totally recommend this place! A cozy dinner or a calm and sunny breakfast, this place is the best.
Try their thalis if you get to visit here at lunch or dinner time, they are Soo good and worth the price.
It's a little far from heart of Bangalore, but recently I discovered that ola operates till here, it worth the travel.
It's a huge property and is so green, clean and we'll maintained. We love it!
The food is good. Need more improvement in the service part. There was no water in the washrooms. Have wait for the person to serve you food. The 4 start rating is only for the food
Quiet and calm place. Good ambience. Food was good too. However felt there was a bit of delay in serving food. Ideal for weekend family getaways.
Heard from from lot of people that it is worth a visit but the reviews were mixed with both positive and negative comments.
I was not sure till we entered the place and had our appetiser. And guess what I liked it.
The sweet corn soup was delicious as well as the starters. We had North Indian menu for dinner.
Except the kulcha, lots of sesame seeds which I should have thought of before placing the order.
In all it was a good experience. Will visit again soon.
One of the best places to enjoy good food with romantic ambiance, try visiting on weekends so you have access for the table near garden, has the perfect lighting for your special day.
Based on Malgudi days theme , this is one of best vegetarian restaurant in the Mysore Road highway.. Must try is jollada roti thali.. great ambience and awesome staff.
Food is really very tasty. Serving time is longer than expected apart from that everything is awesome. Tandoori baby corn and palak paneer with kulcha is delicious.
Located at the outskirts of the city, this place is BEAUTIFUL!
We travelled all the way from Rajankunte to eat here. We ordered thalis, and it was absolutely delicious!
They also provide outdoor seating in the garden. The overall place screams of heritage and a village set up. It takes you back to Malgudi days as the name of the restaurant suggests.
You can see gramaphone in one corner, while the other has a vase full of cane.
Overall it's a must visit.
**Pleasant place on out skirts of Bangalore**
On our way back to Bangalore from Madikeri we hit this place. Its situated on Mysore road just after Bidadi. The place looks very beautiful in the night with all those lighting arrangements. It looks like more of dating spot.
We ordered for Jolada rotti meals and it was decent enough with wide varities of curries and sides(little amount). But sad part is its a limited meal, you are charging 250+ at least you can provide curries and rotti extra.
Ambience:4.5/5
Service:3.5/5
Food:4/5
I've been to this place so Many times coz i like the way they've designed the restaurant.
Same as an old Village restaurant. Which looks really great.
Even i like the service as well the food over there.
And even the Vibes are great.
Feels like sitting in your own garden & having served by such friendly people.
The only challenge is there are too much of Mosquitoes where u've to donate too much of blood unwantedly. But no offense that's natural too.
It's a vegetarian restaurant.
Must try the Lassi.
Pls Visit would definitely visit again.
This is place is located on mysore road after nice road when you go from Bangalore. It is famous for its lantern dinner specially with a group of friends or your bae. We went here last night with friends while returning from mysore. It has 2 garden areas 1 at the back and 1 at the front, also 1 indoor area. we liked the back garden more. The tables awere decorated with lantern and rose petals. Perfect place for a date. Coming to the food we had:
1. Misal pav: nice in taste
2. Crispy corn: very nice in taste.
3. Tandoori veg platter: nice but had lots of potatoes, instead they could have put some veg kebab.
For main course we had:
1. Paneer lababdar: it was nice in taste.
2. Dal makhani: was bad, it had sweet taste very bad.
Service is ok ok, quantity of dishes should be more specially main course. Ambiance is ver nice and food quality needs to improve.
Special lantern light dinner, well maintained garden seating combined with a long drive with your loved ones, just the way, a perfect romantic evening would feel like. Perfect place to escape from the fussy Bangalore traffic and pollution and to spend to quality time with.
Coming to the service, it's pretty slow. And the food I tried with them goes like,
Starters:
Misal Pav : OK-ish
Crispy corn : very yummy and a must try
Main course:
Paneer lababdar : delicious
Dal Makhani : sweet and quantity is less
Garlic naan, laccha parata : soft and delicious
I enjoyed dining with them. Do visit them to get lost with the scenic theme of vattika.
nice place to visit with family. lots of open space plus inside dining area as well. The ambience is interestingly done up. We ordered the Jolada roti Oota and Poori Oota. The roti and Puri were good, but they can offer some gravy based curry to pair with the roti and poori. We only had dry subjis and salads plus rasam and sambhar which didnt combine well. But overall the items were quite tasty. Service is also good and staff was courteous.
If you are looking for a restaurant away from the city buzz or want to stop en route to Mysore or Madikeri, do check this place out.

Beautiful restaurant situated on Mysore road..
Green ambience, clean place.. old copper articles.
They have both, indoor and outdoor seating arrangements.
We opted for outdoor.
We had paneer pakoda, their speciality missal pav, gulab jamun and chai.
Pakoras were very tasty, crisp and paneer was soft.
Missal too had that authentic Maharashtrian taste.
Pavs were not fresh.
Jamun was okay.
Chai was bang on!! In a chilled whether a glass of chai on Mysore road admiring greenery was a bliss.
Overall ratings:
Food : 4/5

Unique Themed Hotel
My visit to this Hotel was unplanned.
When i was driving along the Mysore Road, i observed the name of this hotel and it was just 5 kms away.
I was attracted by the unique name which goes by "Malgudi Days". ("Initially this Hotel was named as Malgudi Vattika and later renamed to Vattika")
Thought of giving a try and visited the hotel.
I was impressed by the looks and service of the Hotel.
The hotels theme matches Malgudi days,Old designed Cupboards,Fan themed Menus and even the staff wear the unique uniforms with caps.
The Food was good.
Overall completely worth a visit.
If you are a veg lover & want to go out of the city to have a relaxed dinner/lunch then this could be it.
Food - 3
Ambience - 4.5
Service - 4
Overall definitely will give u a happy experience.
I was quite skeptical about to travel so far to grab lunch. As my foodie self pushed me to do it and we traveled so far for the Sunday lunch. Place is breath of fresh air, so much into the nature and all that effort for travelling so far will vanish as soon as you step into the place. Food was average I would say but the feel being part of the nature made food taste good. I am not quite sure whether everyone would like this place after travelling so long but if you are nature lover then do visit.
It was a wonderful place😍 ..
It was so traditionally organised.
The staff were welcoming and the way they approached was warm ..
The place had a garden seating and indoor seating.
Garden seating 😍😍was best..and unbeatable..
It was greenery all around and with a view of Mysore road ..
They were serving in copper vessels which is really good for health.🙌
Moreover the place was calm and soothing.
Food was good 😋..(as it was just a rava dosa) and the tea was sugar less..(my friend said so..😅)
Very good traditional vegetarian dishes that you don't find easily these days.
Made with true recipes that will remind you of home cooked food.
Many options to choose from. The ambience is nostalgic of the Malgudi days.
They have dinner served under lantern light which can be romantic or spooky on a rainy night 😛
A nice place situated on Mysore road. The ambience is lovely with a village touch to it.Though we had Maharashtraian food like misal pav, puri srikhand, which was good I'm sure they serve good south indian and north indian. It's a nice place for a day out.
Awesome place if you love greenery and the thali was well presented
Worth visiting for experiencing long bike ride and having good food.
Environment friendly .....must visit to spend good time with your loved ones
..loved my visit
Serene! Though it says breakfast place they served a sumptuous lunch ( joladha roti oota). Outdoor seating adds to the ambience.
Only suggestion - a children play area would make it even more interesting for toddlers!
A quite getaway place for me, advantage of being near to mysore road :)
Food is good and more than that the ambience is good. :) I usually go there for Missal pav
It’s a authentic restaurant on Mysore Road .
Ambience is good , greenery around ,lantern lamps and copper (on exterior ) cutlery for meals
I tried the South Indian meals with obatu
Was good
An authentic style restaurant in Mysore Road with a great ambience and service. I have had breakfast at this place and like the Idly-Vada combination. The pooris are great as well.
FIRST GOOD PART:---It's my all time favourite place for afternoon thali... have tried twice south indian thali and this time tried special north karnataka thali... lip smacking experience..
from puran poli mirch vada as starter (all mini sizes) to the whole thali as i have uploaded the picture.
ONLY DRAW BACK.. ICECREAM😏... shouldn't serve that strawberry ice cream .. it just kills the taste of spices.. Rest its lush green place and seating out during day is awesome in good weather...
SECOND BAD PART:--- WOMEN WASHROOMS🙃🙃🙃 though they are clean in premises but so crampy n old now.. its damn difficult for any old age women or people with special needs to use it. Women in young age some how can manage...
VATTIKA being the family place.. owners should definately think about renovating it... as crowd during weekend is immense... and is always 1 hour waiting....
Ambience and service was good.Luckily we got the table in the open.We ordered Tandoori veg platter. The content were Gobi, panner, baby corn and potato and quantity was good, the masala of platter could have been better but we enjoyed it.For main course we ordered dal makhni and Panner labaradar, both were good.

We were a group of four on a drive on a Saturday morning and decided to stop here for breakfast. This place was actually suggested by my friend and I can't thank him enough for it.
Ambience - 5/5
This is one of the most prettiest looking restaurants that I've ever gone in Bangalore. This place has so much calmness in itself. I was so into it that I didn't click too many pictures of it. Good in a way, people reading this can actually go and see it for themselves.
Food - 3.5/5
Their menu is authentic Karnataka style south indian menu. We had their masala dosa, mini idly sambar and poori and Pongal. My biggest takeaway was their vada. It was nice and crispy. While the rest of them were good, I couldn't find any major difference with any other similar restaurant, but what it does to you is because of the ambience. :)
Overall - 4/5
I would have given them a 5 if their food was a tad better, but nevertheless, this place is a must try :)
Beautiful place on the Highway. We had breakfast there. The service was nice, polite and fast. We tried Masala dosa, plan Dosa, Vada sambhar, sagh and pudi, tea and coffee. We liked the taste , the sambhar was a bit sweet. Loved their presentation of food. The place is also picture worthy and very natural friendly.
If you want to spend half a day it is a great place.
The quality and quantity of food is very good.
Lots of green space and a nice retro theme.
Ambiance 9/10
Food quality : 9/10
Quantity : 8 / 10

Parking space is available
For proper authentic Karnataka food you must visit this place.
Kids menu is also available
A very nice vegetarian restaurant on the Bengaluru Mysore Road. The ambience is very calming and peaceful.
The food is mostly good. Service is a bit slow. So go there when you have some time to sit and relax.
It is easy to miss this if you are on expressway. So use Google maps for the direction.
Great ambience with gardens, open air seating and vintage theme and furniture. Idli and Vada was great, the staff is very courteous. It has good space for parking just ahead of the restaurant. Clean and maintained washrooms, though there was no water in basin when we went.
We visited this place during our trip Ramangara. This is located on the Bengaluru Mysore highway, on the left while going towards Mysore just after crossing Wonderla. It’s a village themed restaurant with sitting in both indoors and outdoors.
The only con that I see is the waiting time here, they will make you wait for almost 25-30 mins. Though, they will let you know about wait time while taking the order itself, so in case you want to leave you can. The no. of waiters are less. So, in case this place is full feel free to call the waiter instead of waiting.
Overall, I would recommend this place if you have patience and not in a hurry.
It's a very nice place.. the ambience is awesome.. food was also nice..
But we felt very less people visit here. But it is a very nice place.. The ambience is just awesome.. we loved it..😊😊😊
One of the best restaurants on the way to Mysore, Madikeri etc. The food is superbly tasty and the service and atmosphere are top notch. It's very simple, and an amazing place to eat. We always visit it whenever it's possible for us.
My experience at Vattika Vegetarian Restaurant was absolutely delightful! I visited this restaurant with my friends and family on a Saturday morning, and I must say it was the perfect place for a hearty breakfast. Located on Mysore Road, just after Wonderla on the left-hand side when coming from Bangalore, this restaurant is easily accessible.
The first thing that caught my attention was the ample car parking space available. It made our visit hassle-free, and we didn't have to worry about finding parking nearby.
We ordered a variety of items from their menu, and each dish surpassed our expectations. The tea, filter coffee, and black coffee were all brewed to perfection, providing a refreshing start to our day. The wada and sambhar were outstanding, with the wada being crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sambhar had just the right balance of flavors, complementing the wada beautifully.
The masala dosa was a definite highlight. It was cooked to perfection, with a golden crispy exterior and a generous filling of flavorful potato masala. Every bite was a burst of deliciousness! The idlis were soft, fluffy, and accompanied by a delectable coconut chutney.
The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff members were friendly and provided prompt service. The cleanliness of the premises was also commendable.
Overall, I highly recommend Vattika Vegetarian Restaurant for a satisfying breakfast experience. The quality of food, friendly service, ample parking space, and convenient location make it an excellent choice. Whether you're a local resident or a traveler passing through, this restaurant is a must-visit. I will definitely be returning to try more of their delightful dishes!
Good food but because of renovation, didn't have a good sitting experience.
It's 55km away from Marathahalli. We travelled on rent bike to Ramnagara and malgudi vatika falls on the way of Mysore road. It's has very good ambience for both family and friends to chill, have a cup of tea, or if it's a hot day then have a glass of buttermilk with family :). We enjoyed Lacha paratha and panner tikka masala with buttermilk. It's a veg restaurant and food was nice. But the look and feel of the place is really nice. After food, we sat there for 2 hours, hangout, and had tea 🍵☕. Highly recommended for family, couples and friends to hangout on the way to Mysore.
An very good place to have any kind of lunch snacks and dinner on the way to mysore on bangalore mysore highway. The ambience is preety beautiful and the place makes an perfect spot to hangout with friends and an beautiful place for photoshoots. The food taste is average and I like the way they serve their food in an authentic way. Everything inside the restaurant is very different, innovation and authentic feels. I liked their menu card as well like an hand fan which is carved of wood. One can spend around 3-4 hours for you food and you could click some quality photos if you are an photo craze person. Overall an good place.
Food tastes nice, but they will take have to care of the quality and cleanliness. As i could see the plates were not cleaned. And even the cost is on the expensive side for that service and ambience.

A very good place on the Bangalore Mysore Highway. I love it. Soon after you cross Wonderla on the right, this restaurant is on your left, towards Mysore direction. The calm place, theme is village, open and spacious. This vintage look seems really helpful in relaxing. If you are with kids or elders, they will enjoy it more. Finally, the budget- it ain't heavy in your pocket. I guess Friday's, Saturday's and holidays are quite crowded. Sunday second half and weekdays, it would be feasible to come and spend time here while having lunch. Food quality and menu, very good. Would rate it 8 on 10.
