The quality of the food served here is top notch. The ambience and decor are befitting of a fine dining restaurant. However, the flavour of the dishes doesn't warrant that kind of pricing. We'd ordered the gnocchi al pomodoro, the rotolo di pollo, and the funghi misti saltati alle erbe. That said, it was a pleasant experience overall.

It’s got an Italian taste. Not the Indian Italian. So go for it if that’s your thing! Nice n quiet ambience too. Must try the Lasagne “Alloro”, Con gamberi e rucola.

A good experience! The Wood fire Margherita Pizza was a winner🤘The breads/ spreads/ chocolates added to the experience..The Mushroom Risotto was good, but not really a standout - a little bland per my taste buds..but a good experience all in all!😀

The best Italian restaurant in town. I just love everything they cook. In a way, I am so very biased about their cooking. But still there are some items in the menu which are my absolute favourite and I keep going back to have them. First and foremost, the Grilled prawn Risotto. Its just heavenly. I don't know how many times I had it and loved it every time. Then the caprese salad and the panacotta. Their tiramisu and pizza is great too. Careful while order, the portion size is quite large too. Specially the pork ribs. Its humongous. Also it is a great place to celebrate your special occasion. They have a knack to upgrade your special occasion a notch higher.

A must visit place for lovers of Italian food. Restaurant staff was highly curtious and welcoming.
Minestrone soup in the Set Menu was prepared well and set the tone of our dinner just right.
Salad had less of vegetables in it and more bread.
Dessert was chef's choice which was browine with ice cream.

We were in Crowne plaza for their Ocktober fest on saturday . After savouring on the beer and the sausages, my mom was in a mood to have arrabbiata pasta. So there stands the story how we came here .

Alloro, introduced as the award winning italian restaurant to men by the receptionist has an impeccable decor, beautiful seating arrangement and even more fine cutlery. Everything about the place is elegant and beautiful.

They serve complimentary breads which are fresh bake produce of that days. We enjoyed having them with flavoured butters.

So we ordered :-

Pici alla arrabiata :- Wonderfully made dish. The pici pasta was great and the tomato sauce was rich in flavours and tanginess. Oregano being the dominant flavour. The pasta is on the spicier side, we loved it.

Garlic Bread:- 1 portion of garlic bread has 3 toasted slices with rich flavour of the main ingredient. But I found the bread too hard to enjoy with the pasta. Can be improved.

A special mention of the service. I don't remember the name of our severer, but she was very pleasant, knowledgeable and on her toes to make us comfortable.

A once in a while to have a pricy italian meal in blissful environment.

Cost of meal 1200/-

Ambience and taste is really awesome. The Italian dishes are very unique to try, and also great pizzas and pastas. They also gave complimentary breads which was that day's chef special. There were 4 kinds of breads, all taste good with the Black Olive sauce served.

Alloro has a beautiful ambience - warm colors, an impressive collection of wines displayed in a glass cellar, impeccable decor. I was especially impressed by the service. One of my colleagues wanted a prawn dish she absolutely loved but was not on the menu anymore. The chef gladly prepared it for her and it was absolutely delicious as she described it.
I had the freshly rolled pasta with spicy tomato based arrabiata sauce. The pasta was al dente and the sauce was packed with flavor. The cherry tomatoes on top added that tangy kick that I particularly enjoyed. The Pizza we had was very good too. The base was crunchy, thin and perfectly cooked. The flavor of the sauce came through as it was not marred by over use of cheese. It was just right! The Ceaser Salad also deserves a special mention. It was a deconstructed version. Sliced chicken placed on a toasted piece of bread served with a braided ring of parmesan cheese and some greens topped with the tangy dressing. It was a piece of art, not just a salad.
I loved the desserts - the Tira Misu was stupendous. The best I have ever had. It was served with a coffee based sauce that really added so much favor. Cream Pudding was delicate, rich and lucious. The chocolate mousse however could have been fluffier and not so dense.
Overall, dining at Alloro is an extra ordinary experience!

Located at the lobby of the hotel, Alloro creates a cozy environment and sets the mood for a nice dinner out.

Live music performers were the best I've heard in Bangalore. They set the mood for romance:). We went on Valentine's day...so thumbs up.

Bruchetta and Panzanella were fabulous though the Pasta Arribiata left something to be desired.

maître d, Bawan is a fab lady, made the experience all the more enjoyable.

Aloro in Crowne Plaza is an only classiest Italian restaurant in Electronics City and a perfect fine-dine restaurant in the town. I was invited for their Milanese Food Festival and the dishes were exclusive all the way from Milan. I have close relationship with Crowne Plaza from almost 5 years; my work place is very near to Crowne Plaza and most of the corporate gatherings congregations here. Recently, Aloro at Crowne Plaza hosted us for the Milanese Food Festival, and oh my! it turned out to be an elaborate tasting from both their Milanese promotional menu and the regular restaurant menu. We were a large crowd of foodies and you can only imagine the craziness that would have gone on around the food plates what with the cameras flashing and all the tasting! We had innumerable dishes of which I'm highlighting just a few must-haves.

We started with  Zuppa di porri e bietole and Busecca. Both were poles opposite to each other in texture and flavor. While the leeks were in a clear soup with sharp notes of acidity that were cut smoothly by the Swiss chard, the Busecca was a thick typical bean soup full of familiar flavors.

The Rucola Organica was fresh and unique with the very nicely created Parmesan rocks that tied all the freshness together with some deep fried umami.

I couldn’t wait to get a bite of the Taleggio Dip which was visually spectacular with delicious savory sweet seared watermelon. The dip itself was a firework of flavors.

I adored the pasta in Traditional Pizzoccheri Pasta and the ravioli filled with pumpkin in Tortelli di Zucca. Everything was flavored with parmesan. They sure love that ingredient!

For desserts we had Panettone (Milan Christmas special dessert presented by Chefs way), Charlotte alla Milanese (Rum laced apple & bread pudding), Barbajada mousse (Chef special Popular Milanese dessert made with chocolate, milk, coffee), and Homemade gelatos (Rich Saffron, Fresh Fig & cherry, Caramelized Pistachio & rosemary) which just made our smiles expand like rubberband.

Although it was not a part of the Milanese Menu, I would recommend you try the Parmesan Trilogy at Aloro. It is one dish that will not let you down.

A meal for two would ideally cost you about Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4,000. The quantities are generous and the service makes you feel like royalty! Make sure you stop by their wall of wine and try something that suits you palate.

We happened to visit for a Milanese Food Festival and Bread Basket was served along with 3 different types of dips as soon as we enter! I was fascinated with Focaccia Bread and ended up ordering one more serving.

I have visited many fine dine restaurants in Bangalore and felt this is matchless among all. Chef. Mrunal Uday Damaskar is very kind host to the guests who walked in to “Aloro”.

Aloro has got a brilliant décor with pebble type flooring with artistic wallpapers on bright walls and an open wood fired Pizza unit! Warm light in the area gives pleasant dining experience. Aloro has nice architecture though!

Service is the crucial part in every restaurant and Aloro makes its mark here. Well, the service was superb to other guests too! I could notice all these things while I was roaming in the restaurant and watched people enjoyed their dining, and saw many happy faces. Folks at Aloro are just amazing; they are jovial, knowledgeable and have a lot of patience.

These are the dishes we tried - Brodo di Parmigiano, Minestrone ala Genovese, Busecca, Cappucino de Funghi, Pepe rosso e mandorle brushetta, Crostinis, Caprese Salad, Parmigiano ai tre modi, A Margherita pizza, Taleggio Dip, Traditional Pizzoccheri pasta and so many!
I find every dish is special and gave a unique experience to my tongue; along with these dishes we tried Cocktails like Mangojito, Mango Tango and Mango Whisky Sour.
Price for 2 would be 3000 to 4000 INR
Highly recommended place!

A tasting at Aloro, a fine dining Italian restaurant that's currently running a Milanese Food Event this month bringing some of the wonderful culinary treats from this region. The tasting included their regular menu as well as the promotional menu. My favorites of the evening were the quattro pizza, the Milanese special Osso Buco made with veal and Cassoeula with pork.

Our fare that evening included the Milanese menu as well as the regular Italian menu. We started with Zuppa de Sciqol - caramelized onion with beef meatballs, which was in taste, and the meat was just soft enough. The Busecca, which was the beans soup, wasn't as tasty or appealing to my palate, a little too plain. The mushroom cappuccino soup was quite nice and creamy. The pasta selection was all pretty good and interesting. Tortelli di Zucca, Pumpkin filled Ravioli with Parmesan cream, had a very distinct creamy sweet flavor, while the Buckwheat pasta was also rather different in taste, and good.

Their signature dish was the Parmesan Trilogy. Nestled on a bed of Parmesan soup with a scoop of cheesy ice cream, and a wafer delicately balanced around the ice cream. The next course was not as poetic, but good nevertheless. We got the quattro pizza - our server patiently explained the seasonal significance of the dish. Our main course of veal (Osso Buco) and pork (Cassoeula), as well as a beef sizzler were all made to perfection.

I am not a huge fan of desserts, and given our main course, nothing could beat that, we still persevered on! The various flavors of sorbets were fun and refreshing after the mammoth meal, while the gelatos were just about okay. The tiramisu, which needs to be perfect in an Italian restaurant, was kind of a letdown for me. The coffee wasn’t strong enough, and it was too pastry like. And there was Zuccotto - A traditional lemon and chocolate mousse cream dessert served with home made chocolate ice cream. The plating was perhaps the best that evening!

We were a pretty big group, and we got a LOT of dishes tasted that evening, so I just covered the highlights. A meal for 2 would come up to about 3500-4000.

I clearly remember about a year ago, when a friend asked me for some fine-dine non-Indian options in Electronic City and I was a little stumped. I didn't have too much of an idea and told them to come back toward Koramangala instead. When I received the invite to try out the Milanese Food Festival at Aloro at Crowne Plaza, it brought surprise and joy that there indeed was an option for Italian fine-dine and they were celebrating a food festival, in addition to dishing out regular Italian fare. I was lucky enough to be able to order from the regular menu and the Milanese special menu and here is a detail of my experience at Aloro.

We made it in at about 7:30 pm - Easy peasy directions on Maps + The Expressway drive, made finding the place stress-free. Valet Parking and some gawking at the awesome photography session of a bride & groom who were celebrating their reception at the hotel afterward, we headed towards Aloro. Just by the bar, the place has some very inviting decor, made even more prominent by the wall of wines at the entrance. The right side to the wines is the live pizza counter - you see the open oven, the array of toppings inviting you to just get on that high chair and start customizing.

To the left is a more private and lovely European setting dine area - Ideal for dates - The tables are small and god forbid if you are in a group of four or five - then you'd rather sit where the open pizza counter is.

We got started with some mocktails (they had a fabulous range in their mango festival happening), then went on to try the soup. They had a clear Parmesan soup which I opted for - My first time trying a clear soup in an Italian restaurant. The bowl came in with an absolutely spotless, clear broth, with two small raviolis filled with parmesan and some basil and cherry tomatoes in the center. The raviolis by themselves were excellent tasting but the broth didn't work for me personally. I did see friends around who enjoyed the flavour, but I felt it lacked flavour and would easily do well with some light spice. A friend had ordered for the Cappucino de Funghi which is indeed excellent. It looks just life a cup of coffee - With the brown broth and a creamy foam on top. Deceptively clever this one and great in taste as well.

Moving on to some anti-pasti - Bruschettas came in. I asked for the Peppers Bruschetta which was lovely in taste. Drizzled with some olive oil on top of those super well minced red peppers, this was a very different but successful take on Bruschetta. There was also some excellent Caprese (the presentation on this one was one of my favourites - great flavours on the drizzle of olive oil and herbs as well).

Then we tried their award winning signature dish - the Parmesan Trilogy. There is a bed of Parmesan soup on which a scoop of Parmesan icecream is placed and a nice crunchy ring shaped wafer of parmesan placed on its edge. It looks completely master-cheffy when it comes in and one bit in you understand why this is award winning and so on. It has some excellent independent flavours going on well by themselves but when you put them all together, they start making more sense and become more appealing. For instance, the soup is slightly warm and like a cheese sauce. The icecream is sweet and cold. The ring is like a cheesy chip. All put together, there is a parmesan party happening. For all cheese lovers with an experimental tooth - this is what you need to sink into.

We then ordered main course - A Margherita pizza is what I wanted to try. I personally think that Italian fine-dine places do a fabulous rendition of a Margherita, unlike fast food pizza outlets. I was not let down one bit. The cheese on the pizza was fresh and unbelievably smooth when melted, the sauce was just perfect and the right amount of basil leaves strewn around. The husband ordered a chicken main - Piccata di Pollo, which were like chicken cutlets - Well cooked, but lacking too much spice is what I heard.

I also did manage to dig my fork into some other mains ordered by the others and this is what I wandered about to find:

A starter with some roasted Watermelon and herbs - Interesting take on a fat slab of watermelon - Some people loved it, some didn't. This was a little polarizing starter.

- The Quattro Stagioni - This is an excellent concept in a pizza, I've had it many places before and Aloro does a good job at it as well. There are four seasons depicted on four quadrants of the pizza, artichokes for spring, olives for summer, mushrooms for autumn and ham/prosciutto for winter. Great for sharing and very generous toppings - Don't you love it when restaurants don't treat you like Oliver's Twist when it comes to pizza toppings! :)

The Pasta Arrabiata - So, this was one dish which had some tang in the sauce - after about 2-3 bites, it gets too tangy in fact. But if you're a fan of the tomato bases, go ahead and order.

There was a ravioli stuffed with beetroot puree and herbs - It looked lovely in color (purple due to the beets, but encased beautifully in that blanket of pasta) - Didn't work for me too much, but any one up for experiments, can sink their teeth in.

There were also some beautiful looking non-vegetarian things served - A sizzler of some chunks of beef, some calamari rings and some veal as well. Great presentation on these plates and the carnivores in the group seemed to love the Now taste as well.

Now coming to the most interesting part of the meal, desserts. Being in an Italian restaurant and having served up some beautifully designed and creative food during the evening, hopes were high for desserts to be the stars and outperform. Some did, some did not.

The trio of sorbeti (more crushed ice than cream), came in lemon, Chilli and Blueberry. The Chillii one was outstanding - Pink in color and the spice doesn't really hit you till an aftertaste kicks in. The lemon too was nice and tangy and had that lovely zing.

The Tiramisu was fairly decent - Beautifully plated and interestingly had blobs of coffee cream and pesto on the plate. One bite of the tiramisu with the pesto (what I would never imagine a combination, otherwise in my life) actually was not as scary as one would think and going quite well together.

The Trio of Gelati (Icecream) was quite average - Flavours ranging from Pistachio, to some Strawberries and some Lemon & Olive oil flavours - I definitely preferred the sorbeti over the gelati.

There were some St.Guiseppe fritters - Fried dumplings with lemon cream inside and some sugar syrup on the outside. Fabulous concept - But I didn't get that zing in the lemon cream. Perhaps the intention was to keep it subtle.

The Barbajada mousse was the stand-out for me. Beautifully designed, to look like a lava cake with the glaze and stuff on the outside, but when you poke it, its a lovely, delicate mousse. This is what I would have even the next time round.

Overall, the experience was excellent - to have been able to savour this many dishes. The place is a refreshing change from various italian eateries. The chef genuinely enjoys what he makes and will be out to chat with patrons happily - They do have food festivals from time to time, every 2-3 months - So its definitely good to keep an eye out for these and head there for some experimentation.

Expect to spend around 3,000 for two upwards for a Vegetarian meal for two with mocktails.

I'd definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fine-dining Italian outlet in EC - You really don't need to head out too far any more!

Crowne Plaza is an exquisite and a grand place located at the far end of the city. But that doesn't take away anything from the fact its one of the more beautiful places in Electronic City. So, when we were invited to a Milanese Food Festival at Aloro, there wouldn't have been a better opportunity to experience the Italian wonder. The place is tiny, but the ambiance is wonderful. Once can notice the fine bottles of wine kept on display in the showcase as soon as you enter the lobby. We were one of the first guests to enter the place and promptly shown to our reserved table. The hosts were courteous and didn't have any hesitation in extending their hospitality to us.

Special menus had been designed for this occasion. The Milanese Food Menu and also the Mango Drinks menu as part of the Mango Fest. I chose a Mango Sour to start my evening. Its basically a Whiskey Sour with Mango juice and Mango chunks thrown in. It wasn't much of a cocktail, since the Mango overpowered the Whiskey. But nonetheless, the taste was sweet and delicious.
They provided us with the sample breads and 2 dips - Mayonnaise and another Indian gravy kind of dip. Both of them were excellent. We finished our bread basket and had to for the same a second and a third time. Then came the soups. I tried 3 different soups.
- Zuppa di porri e bietole - A clear soup made with leeks and swiss chard. Disappointing to be honest.
- Busecca - Beans flavored soup. Quite nice and refreshing.
- Capuccino di funghi - The clear winner. The taste was fantastic, just the right mixture of mushrooms and black truffles. One of the best soups I've ever tasted at any place.

Then came the Antipasti, tried quite a variety of them. The Tallegio Dip was nice and creamy with breadsticks to dip into them. Not a huge fan of salads, so didn't dig into the Rucola Organica with the same fervor as other dishes. There were 2 more starters which didn't impress me that much. But the best of the lot was the Parmesan trilogy, which was a combination of Parmesan cream, ice cream among caramelized onions. The dish was quite unique and heavenly. Its one of their signature dishes and a must try.

We were already getting full with the wide variety of dishes getting accumulated in our stomach. It was time for the main course. And our first order was Traditional Pizzoccherri Pasta, which is basically buckwheat pasta along with four cheese sauce. Most of them didn't like it that much, but I loved the dish and the flavor of the buckwheat. The second pasta that we ordered was Tortelli di Zucca - Pumpkin filled Ravioli with fine Parmesan cream emulsion. The stuffed raviolis were amazing and so was the Parmesan cream sauce. Both the pasta dishes were excellent. I also got to taste Pizza con Tallegio, which is basically a simple pizza with Tallegio and Mozzarella cheese, the thin crust made it quite delectable and tasty. The main course was quite pleasing to say the least. Loved most of the dishes that were served to us.

Coming to the happy endings, there were a wide variety of desserts to be consumed. There were most of the Italian signature desserts. The Gelatos, Tiramisus and the Sorbets. I tried most of them, but nothing struck me as spectacular. They were decent enough. But I did like the Barbajada Mousse which was the Chef's special dessert for the day made of Chocolate, Milk and Coffee.

After a heavy dinner which consisted of everything Italian, it was time to move out for the night, but not before thanking the staff for the special attention on display. Full marks to their presentation. Every dish, irrelevant of the taste, was visually pleasing to the eye.
Extremely friendly staff, lovely & romantic ambiance, exquisite Italian fare. Can't ask for much more. Definitely, give it a shot if you are into Italian cuisine.

BUONE NOTIZIE !!

Good News as we say in english for Italian food lovers and connoisseurs !!.

Aloro, the specialty Italian cuisine restaurant at premium hotel chain, Crowne Plaza Bengaluru Electronics City is hosting a Milanese Food festival for its esteemed guests and Italian food aficionados these days.
Situated at the lobby level, the ambiance of this place has been pleasantly inspired by the ancient settlements of alluring and charming country of Italy. The Pizzeria counter with wood fire oven further adds to the rustic charm of the whole place.

During my tete-a-tete with restaurant manager, I was told that the regular menu offers the guest a selection of choices from home-produced pastas, freshly cooked antipasti (starters) and a wide array of excellent meats and seafood dishes from the region. The wood fired authentic thin crust pizzas are among the popular choice with the patrons.

The restaurant also boasts a finest medley of Italian and imported cheese, wines and Grappa that will rejuvenate your palate and tastes buds for elegant food experience.

The Italian Chef Mrunal Uday Dhamaskar told me that the Milanese food extravaganza is being held here to celebrate the authentic food from Milan and the other northern region that have a influence of Italian and French.

Thus it is strikingly different from the central and southern Italian cuisine that has influence of Austria and neighbouring countries and the Mediterranean food.

The special menu for the promotion has been carefully crafted to promote the elegant dishes from the region. The choices of soups include country style beef soup, Zuppa de Sciqol, and traditional soup made with leeks and Swiss chard called Zuppa di porri e bietole.

The select antipasti’s like must try Taleggio Dip, a signature dish by Chef and the awesome Affettati Misti, the cold Bresaola & salami Milano slices are absolute delight.

The list also has some irresistible range of pastas and risottos. My favorites here were the classic Risotto Milanese con Gamberi alla griglia with grilled tiger prawns and the Gnocchi alla fruiti di mare home made pasta with coarse tomato sauce cooked with seafood assortment.

Among the mains I would recommend the Piccata di Pollo , a bread crumb, herb & cheese crusted chicken served delicious accompaniments.

The others on the menu are wood fire pizzas ranging between INR 500 to INR 650.

The selection includes Pizza con Taleggio , topped with taleggio & mozzarella Cheese ; Pizza Cocktail di Gamberi , a Prawns cocktail pizza made with tomato, prawns & rocket leaves and the Pizza alla Bresaola , topped pizza with salted , air dried Bressola ham.

The desserts served during the festivals include Panettone , a milano christmas special dessert ; Charlotte alla Milanese , an itlalian apple pudding ; home made gelatos and Chef special Popular Milanese dessert made with chocolate, milk, coffee called Barbajada mousse.

The show stopper of the evening was undoubtedly the Cotoletta alla Milanese.Delicious to the core,It is classic Milanese style breaded Veal chop served with Saffron aioli and potato crisp.

The Cost for 2 persons at Aloro would be around INR 3500-4000 for a 3 course authentic meal.

Prior reservation is recommended.

My rating is 4/5 for Italian dining experience at ALORO

Working in Electronics City, I have been to this restaurant about 3-4 times now. However, last week, I got an opportunity to try out their Milanese Food Festival menu with friends and that was excellent.

What I best like about the place in general is their service and ambiance. Food of course is good and most of their dishes are prepared with details being attended to!

To start with, I opted the Brodo de Parmigiano which was a clear soup of infused parmesan, cherry tomatoes and pesto stuffed ravioli. The soup was brilliantly done and presented – I would definitely suggest this one any day and it is veg-friendly too! A friend of mine tried the Cappuccino di Funghi which was a wild mushroom soup served in a mug and looked dense and inviting. For the appetizers I tried the Parmesan Trilogy which was something so unique in its kind and an untried category for me! It had 3 variants of parmesan served amongst caramelized onions and a scoop of parmesan ice-cream. Aloro won at the national level for this state-of-the-art appetizer of theirs – I thought it was an acquired taste though! I also tried a slice of the Peppe roso Bruschetta which had beautiful coverage of almonds and red pepper – It tasted good and was a pioneering class of bruschetta, I would say! That aside, I sampled the watermelon and goat cheese appetizer which felt refreshing and I loved that amongst the ones I tried.

I was too stuffed for mains after the lovely appetizers and hence, I didn’t order any main course for myself. I instead picked bits from my friends’ main dishes! Amongst what I bit into, I loved the veg pizza and the beetroot raviolis. The Polenta Vuncia was done very well too with rich cream and butter and you must try it if you are a polenta fan.

For the desserts, I ordered the Zuccotto which was a dish of chocolate ice-cream served with lemon and chocolate mousse and was presented in the most stunning manner amidst other desserts on the table. This was the best as per my palate. I also tried a few others which my friends ordered, like the Gelato and Tiramisu. The Gelato was smooth and perfect and tasted good. The Tiramisu tasted more like a good cake and looked spectacular but the actual dish could have been better.

I paired the food sipping a class of Cabernet Sauvignon (Chilean Hemisferio) all through. I would endorse the wine!

Moolah: Rs. 6000 for two (with wine) if opted for 3 courses and if veg options are chosen. Large Veg Pizzas are between 500-700 plus taxes.

Pros: Excellent variety, Vegetarian friendly, brilliant pizzas, very responsive and helpful staff, beautiful wine collection and display, idealistic ambiance, striking serve ware and glass ware, apposite and mannered crowd!

Cons: Desserts need some eggless variants. Food is slightly expensive for a casual walk-in!

Recommended - for Romantic evenings, Client Dinners/Lunches, High Budget Office outings and parties.

If you’re a fan of Authentic Italian Food, then Aloro should be your go to place.

Cheese and wine, two of the most quintessential ingredients in Italian cuisine at its ultimate best. With a choice of wines from different parts of the world, to cheese that’s incorporated perfectly in every dish, this place will make you go,”Ummmh Deliciozooo”

Located in Electronic City, Phase 1,making it one of the best restaurants in the area to organize a business dinner or if you’re someone who decides to travel to the other end of town to experience Italian cuisine, then let me tell you, it’s totally worth it.

The ambiance - very elegant and classy making it apt for a nice romantic dinner or a pleasant meal with family. A huge modern style wine cellar that boasts of the different wines available, a small smoking area on the outside and a wood fire oven gives the restaurant an Italian story to tell at every nook and corner.

A bunch of us foodies were invited to try out their Milanese food festival and the Mango Feast that has recently been introduced at Aloro. With a separate Milanese Food menu that lists out names from an unknown land, be sure to ask your waiter to explain the dish before you decide to order. The descriptions give out a very fancy imagination, the plating and presentation simply furthers that perfectly painted picture in your mind, you take a bite and you’ll be transported to that imaginary world you’ve created for yourself. You will find a menu abundant with cheese, veal, mild flavourings, light desserts, mango inspired cocktails, mock tails and a host of different wines.

Zuppa(Soup)-We tried their traditional bean soup, leek and Swiss chard and a nice beef broth, All of which were light and went perfectly with the freshly baked breads. I absolutely loved the meatball soup, it had the right amount of flavouring.

Antipasti-The bruschetta were delicious, loaded with the right amount of cheese and flavouring. Calamari Fritter-crispy and came with a delicious dip that was delightful. Parmigiano ait re modi, their award winning dish looked like it came out of one of the Masterchef shows. Parmesan in different three different forms(ice cream, soup and crisp),complementing each other perfectly and the caramelized onions adding to the sweetness. This is one of the best dishes I have had in a long time, and oh yes perfectly plated too, so if you’re a cheese-lover like me, then well I needn’t say more.Caprese-Nice and light, the pan seared watermelon was quite impressive as well.We also tried the Scallops on a bed of polenta, although this dish I didn’t enjoy much, considering it was a little too bland.

Pasta-Perfectly al dente, all the pastas I tasted were brilliant, particularly liked the buckwheat pasta and cheese ravioli.

Pizzas-We tried their quarter pizza with different toppings depicting the different seasons, each quarter tasting different from the other, although one thing that united them was the delicious cheese that was added to this perfectly cooked wood fire pizza.

Mains-With all my favourite dishes

Beef Sizzler-Simply delicious, perfectly cooked beef,it was recommended to us by one of the waiters(Mr.Lally)as it was his favourite dish on the menu and we truly enjoyed it too.Ossonbuco-Tender falling off the bone meat(literally),lightly flavoured ,served with mashed potatoes and plating fit for a queen, this is definitely a must try.The pork infused saffron tasted great too, perfectly cooked caramelized pork served with polenta.

Now coming to my favourite course-Dolci(Dessert)

The Tiramisu, well I didn’t really enjoy it, it had a very different taste and the coffee didn’t really come through. The chocolate mousse with ice cream was quite nice too although the fritters, a real bummer, it was just too eggy. We tried the Italian gelatos and ice cream, all of which were light and had the right amount of creaminess. I particularly like the Raspberry Chilli.

The staff here is extremely friendly and they guided us around the restaurant, the waiters-exceptionally well trained and they are well aware of the different dishes on the menu.

Overall I would say I had a wonderful experience and a perfect evening and I would definitely say this is one of the best Italian I have tasted here in Bangalore. Food can truly be beautiful-this is something that I’ve learnt here, given the splendid plating, kudos to the chef and his team for that.

Visited this place for dessert today with my team. Electronic City lacks a proper dessert place and I believe there is lot of scope for the big players to start one here. After half an hour of roaming about, the 3 of us decided to come to Crowne Plaza. And that's how we landed at Aloro.

The place is quite elegant. The chairs impressed me the most. It was made of wood, pretty huge but very comfortable. (I think we sat in the space of Connexions). Since it was around 2, the place was rather empty.

My colleagues went with Tiramisu & Zuccotto respectively. I asked for 3 flavors of ice cream. Since they din't have 2 of the 3, I also went with Zuccotto. The Tiramisu came first. My colleague found it to be just about ok. He said you can easily find better ones in Bangalore. I had a bite and found it to be decent. Nothing exceptional. Zuccotto came next and it looked grand on the huge plate. Presentation was very good. Zuccotto contained a lemon based cake sort of dessert with chocolate covering and powdered chocolate biscuits along with a scoop of chocolate ice-cream. Honestly when it came it looked a tad small, but after I finished it I felt full!!

The surprise and why I give this place a 3.5 was they gave a scoop of lemon & sorbet ice-cream complimentary with my dessert. I guess its because the first dessert I had ordered had lemon & sorbet flavor ice cream in it but since they did not the have the other 2 flavors, they had to cancel it. Good sign and I really liked the ice-cream.

The service was fine. You expect atleast so much from a place like this. Being Crowne Plaza you know its on the pricier side and each dessert was around 400 bucks before tax. Nevertheless it was a good experience. Looking forward to dine here sometime!!

Crowne plaza is like an oasis in an electronic desert. I visited CP on Sunday for their sunday brunch. The buffet had an elaborate spread. They had a live counter for the barbecue which was the highlight of the buffet for me. They also had a fondue which looked very inviting. The ambience in Crowne plaza is very soothing for a sunday brunch and the staff there are very hospitable. The Sunday experience at crowne plaza rejuvenated me for the rest of the week and its a place i would look forward to visit again.

Crowne Plaza, I would say, is the best hotel out in the island of Electronic City. A 5-star among no stars out there.. :D Today, I was here for a celebration lunch and decided against the buffet restaurant, so we landed up sitting in Aloro. The only comfy seating I found is the round table where one part is the sofa.

Looking at the Italian menu, the first thought that hit me was that they have quite a selection of dishes, but nothing that stands out or appeals instantly. We also wanted to check out their Indian menu, but finally settled for italian. They gave a complimentary bread basket accompanied by 2 dips instead of butter, which were very interesting. I liked the light frothy milky dip; never had it anywhere else. For appetizers, we ordered the red pepper and almond bruschetta. Tasted OK, nothing great. For mains, we tried out different things - first, the Garganelli Calabrese pasta - sadly it totally lacked in flavor and we definitely felt the pasta was under-cooked, plus it wasn't served that hot! We had to send it back. The waiter was accommodating and he said he'd ask the chef to make another one, but we decided to have it with a tomato based sauce instead. The fresh pasta was served piping hot and tasted fine.

Second, we wanted a nice veggie spicy pizza and the guy suggested the Vegetariana pizza which he'd make with the tomato sauce base instead of the white pizza. We wanted it spicy so we asked him to add jalapenos as well. This was pretty OK and the whole thing was polished off.

Third, we tried the Nasi Goreng from their Asian menu. This was a very well presented dish, but sadly again lacked in taste. Low on salt and very low on spice, it definitely did not taste like the Nasi Goreng I had in Thailand! But the yummy chicken skewers served with the peanut sauce with the dish were yum!

We couldn't end a celebration without a dessert, so I chose the Fig and Almond Tart served with Vanilla Bean ice-cream. I felt the tart should've been warmed a touch 'cuz thats how they taste better. But it was fine. Nothing out of this world, but the fig and almonds were a great combination for a tart and for that I'd thank the chef.

What you need to know before emptying your pockets here is that this restaurant is insanely priced. The portions they serve are very less for the prices they charge. Moreover, an imported beer is priced at 650 bucks! Thats sheer madness.

For the Just-OK food, I doubt I'd ever come back here only to make a huuuuge hole in my pocket! :O

The Food was great and so was the atmosphere - roof top dining and with Bangalore evening weather - it had rained - you could not get better ! Service was a bit wanting at times and you had to push the waiters for recommendations and making specific requests.

Lovely place for Italian fine dining. Good collection of wines too... Loved the Penne Arabiata with an Indian touch on spiciness. Chef Varad makes every effort to make the dish you order to your taste and Dev would guide you with best of the wines that go well with the food. Evenings are busier than day times. So if you love a small chit chat with chef and want to get you custom dishes to suit your palate, lunches are best. Overall must visit for great dining experience and family time...and don't forget to enjoy the piping hot bread basket with sage butter.

Stumbled upon this gem of a piece of Italy... The experience was magical with Chef Varad's personal recommendations and his serving us with dishes off the menu. All we had to say is "Surprise us" and he did! The most awesome pumpkin soup in this world followed by hand made pasta (secret grandma's way from little villages of Italy) and scrumptious salads, complemented with the choicest wine. Chef Varad and hosts Shubham and Aayushi made the dinner an experience. And they made some lifelong fans of our family. Looking forward to the next trip again! This is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in town. Walk in and utter the magic phrase "Surprise us", sit back and let your taste buds experience the journey of a lifetime ♥️♥️

Top of the line experience in fine dining. Great ambiance. Food totally Italian. The place is very expensive, as one might expect from a 5 star hotel. If you are looking for good experience, this is a good option
