So, it was pre Christmas and you want to celebrate it with friends with soul food.. head to Thai cuisine...
Tom yum Thai is an easily accessible place in Indiranagar with seating inside and outside .. we of course chose the outside ambiance.. it's so cool inside as well..(check my pics to see Buddha celebrate with a Christmas tree inside 😇😇😇)
We ordered Diced chicken in oyster sauce and cashew, Thai green Curry, Prawn fried rice, and some Som Tam papaya salad a s starters.. well the food was just awesome.. everything tasted perfect...
the service was ok but the bad part was the construction going on in the neighborhood.. not their fault completely though..
This was a discovery when I was digging through reviews and places for good Thai in the city, since I am a big fan of it. Being a group of 4, we ordered chicken wrapped in pandan leaves, phad thai, the raw papaya salad, prawn green curry with sticky rice. The food served here will make you wish you could take the cook's delicate flavours and ingredients back home (perhaps the cook himself / herself). Phad Thai was outstanding.
Ambience isn't such a big plus, but the food and service completely makes up for the lack of it. I love rooftop spaces and the open air ambience absolutely worked for me. The cost was quite reasonable and does not dig a very deep dent in your pocket.
The service was a welcome change. It was neither overwhelming or underwhelming. We asked them for wine and they were sweet enough to buy it for us even though they did not have stock of it. The only suggestion I would have is that their staff should be able to recommend dishes to their customers - a skill that they probably lack at the moment. Nevertheless the service was empathetic and very cheerful.
If you are in the mood to eat some authentic Thai made from the heart, with some more heart warming service. This is the place you must try. I'm definitely gonna give Tom yum Thai visits many more times.
Good food, which was very authentic to its roots. The staff were courteous. The ambience and decor are just to the point. Definitely a good and affordable Thai food place in the locality. We ordered the
1. Tom yum soup
2. Kao phad kra praow Broccoli
3. Thai green curry with steamed rice
4. Fried rice with garlic.
The food was rich with good flavour of coconut and native thai spices.
It's my favourite place right now. The food is delicious. Their service is again praise worthy. And even though I love the fact its empty most of the time I come. I wish people recognize its value dine out more. The red prawn curry and coconut soup are flavourful and review writing worthy.
We really liked the food over here. A great value for money , We usually try Thai green curry and steamed rice and traditional soup . The ambiance is really nice.
An okay place for an authentic taste of Thai food. O tried their chicken fried rice and it tasted like the authentic Thai ones. Ambience is a little dull though but if you're on a solo craving, then this place is good to go.
Great Thai food.. with no added Colora and really fresh veggies...the flat noodles with broccoli , garlic chicken was yum and non greasy... Ordered omelette with minced chicken . The issang tang clear soup as best of all.. the outdoor ambience is simple ... Great service as well
The set up is great. It has both open air and indoor seating. The seats are comfortable. The ambiance is great.
The waiters are helpful and courteous. The service is fast enough.
The food is great. The Phad Thai and spring rolls were the best. They served the spring rolls with a sauce to die for. The pina colada here is yummy!
The restaurant is clean. The food was fresh and served hot.
The restroom and hand wash is hygienic.
They do not have much of a dessert menu though and that's the only downer.
This is an under rated place for Thai Food. The place is huge with a not so impressive ambiance but good food. Broccoli was a treat by itself. They make amazing flat noodles. It's def worth a try. Courteous staff and amazing service.
The place is extremely spacious and sophisticated. They have outdoor seating arrangement which is well decorated plus the gentle breeze and the calmness of the place makes me want to go back. Coming to the food, they have a compact menu from which we tried the prawns in red sauce which was way too good, the prawns were very well cooked and they served it really well. Diced chicken was another dish we loved they served well and in right amount. Then were the noodles, i don't know much about Thai food so I can't really judge but apart from the noodles being flavored well, I didn't find anything wow in the dish. (also maybe because I'm a spicy food lover) so I don't really go along with boiled vegetables and soups much. But overall it was a nice visit, I'd go back for the prawns again.
A pleasant ambience and okay food, not very authentic, neither the service is that great. Only thing good about the place is it's ambience and soft music . Servers need to be a little more active on their part.
Not the one to be highly recommended!
Amazing place hidden away in Indiranagar. Visit here regularly and am always surprised that a table is always available! Raw Papaya salad is superb as are their portions of curries! Must visit Thai place.
Before actually reaching thr, I was underestimating the place. it was a surprise so to see a lovely terrace. They serve authentic thai food. Service was decent.
Very good food enjoyed every bit of it. It's actually thai. It's like eating in Thailand. I would recommend their Tom yum soup. It's not like other restaurants who just serve anything in the name of thai food
Perhaps the only place which serves good thai food. Good food and ambience. Starters and soup are a must here. Authentic thai food is available at Tom yum thai
Delightful fresh food in a clean and simple setting. First visit but will certainly be back! Recommend the larb gai. Arrived midweek for lunch
Went here on a weekday night, and the place had just a few tables full. It was a lovely drizzly Bangalore evening and the seating outside was perfect.
We ordered for the the national soup of Thailand and it was the best Tom yum we have had in as long as I can remember. We polished it off quickly. Then came a few other starters - prawn in basil not leaves, prawn in red curry paste, sea bass fish in lemon sauce.
The prawn dishes tasted quite similar and came with a good dose of Babycorn and other veggies.
The fish was fresh and light. We also ordered for some sticky rice and the delicate coconut prawn curry. The coconut curry was heavenly. It was like morning we have tasted before in any of the Thai restaurants around. Prawn cooked in coconut milk and herbs. We could just drink it up straight!
The sticky rice was served luke warm and in a tiny bowl. No complaints on the portion size, since we don't prefer much rice anyway. But, for someone expecting the usual quantity when you order rice, it would be quite disappointing.
The butterfly pea drink, a blue refreshing drink was not on the menu, but came with some recommendation. It was quite sugary but worth giving a try.
The dessert menu liked quite interesting but they didn't have any. They only had icecream and we tried the special gudbud. Its supposed to be sourced from pabbas, Mangalore and it was delicious. Not sure if it tasted like the one in pabbas. Its been real long since I last ate there. So I don't quite remember if this was as good.
Service - the staff was a little too enthusiastic about clearing off the plates and they do keep hovering around you. It was a little difficult to understand what the guy who takes the order was trying to communicate. I kept asking him to repeat over and over.
Go here for some yummy Thai food! I hope they start serving their desserts soon, looked very interesting.
Breezy open casual terrace dining.. Authentic flavors and prompt service. Specially recommend flavourful National soup of Thailand, crisp and done just right chicken spring rolls, light stir fried ginger prawns and of course the all time favorite and authentic Thai green curry with rice.
Although I may not be the right person to validate the Thai food authenticity. But my taste buds can certainly validate the brilliant taste of the food. Add to that a good ambience and a fine service. Maybe not pocket friendly, but if you're thinking about going to this place that really wouldn't be of your concern.
Visited this place last night and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We did not order much as we were saving space for desserts but what we ordered was great.
Food- Had the Deep Fried Prawns in red curry and Flat chicken noodles in chilli garlic sauce. Loved the prawns so much. They were so well cooked. The noodles were also flavoured so well. They had told us it would be spicy but wasn't that spicy. 😜 It was a great change from the usual Italian or continental cuisine I end up eating!
Service- Good service, had to wait for a while before our order was served even though there wasn't much crowd but that was probably because I was starving!
Ambiance- Nicely done up place. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for outdoor seating. It was quite pretty and pleasant. The decor is nice as well.
It was a good visit. A nice place tucked away from the hustle and bustle. :)
Authentic Thai cuisine.. I loved the place and the food (though I've tried only vegetarian dishes).. I've been here couple of times and would like to visit this place again.
A lovely rooftop in the bustling streets of Indiranagar. Its easy to miss if you do not watch out.
But truly a hidden gem.
The husband and I wanted a very quite dinner for our anniversary after a very eventful day and lot of food. And just as i thought i might not be able to eat any more, i was WRONGED.
We had the spring roll for starters along with Egg Fried rice, Veg Fried rice with Chicken Thai Green curry. Sadly we were not able to try anything in prawns as it was over.
But loved the authenticity of the entire meal. One more visit is on the list :)
It's definitely a hidden gem tucked on the CMH road. Staff is super courteous, food is super delicious and the roof top adds to the whole experience. We have been there twice and still counting. Must visit !!
We were looking for a venue for a team lunch, and just when we thought that we had exhausted all available options in Indiranagar, out sprang the name of Tom Yum Thai. The reviews looked good, and we headed there for lunch the following day. The place is located on CMH Road, and occupies the top-most floor of a building on whose lower floors is located a diagnostics clinic. They have roof-top seating, but an awning shelters one from the sky. The decor was quite light, with some stock posters/pictures relating to Thailand hung up on the walls here and there. The place actually looked more like a cafe than a full-fledged restaurant.
They didn't have a buffet, and we all went about poring over the menu. The non-veg folks in the group had taken a separate table, and we went exclusively for the non-veg options. We started off with stir fried prawn with egg and diced chicken with oyster sauce. The chicken was tangy, and the prawn was pretty average. Coming to main course, we decided to order our items separately, but ended up turning it into a potluck. My initial pick was the Tom Yum prawn fried rice, which, once again, turned out to be a good-but-not-outstanding preparation. Thanks to my colleagues, I also ended up having a taste of the Kuay Tuey Gai and stir fried noodles with prawns. The noodles was quite ordinary, hardly any different from the prawn boodles that you get at any decent eatery. The Kuay Tuey Gai, which consisted of flat noodles in a spicy broth peppered with meatballs, was the only item that stood out. I can't say that I liked the taste too much, but at least it was different compared to the other dishes.
In the section of desserts, most of the items on their menu were unavailable that day, and we ended up ordering almost all the items that were being served. So we ended up with one plate each of special Gadbad, banana split and mango sticky rice. I am not fond of bananas and decided to give the banana split a pass, and the mango in the sticky rice wasn't tasty at all. But the special Gadbad impressed all of, so much so that we ended up ordering another glass of the same. It consisted of multiple scoops of ice-creams of different flavours layered one atop the other, with fruits and nuts interspersed in between. It felt good to have ended on a high.
Tom Yum Thai was pretty ordinary when it came to the quality of food. Barely a couple of items stood out and are worth recommending. The ambience was soothing, and it must feel wonderful in the company of the evening breeze. But that alone doesn't merit another visit to this place.
It's a little hard to find although google maps can certainly help :-) Rooftop seating is good but you have to fight with mosquitoes. Ambience is great and staff is very courteous. Service was good and good was great. Compared to other thai restaurants less spicy. We are certainly planning to go back there in next few months.
I have one of my favorite memory at this place in a very special way. My wife was expecting and use to not feel like eating anything so we were extremely choosy with the venue as there was no point of creating a bad experience knowingly. This place was strongly recommended by one of my colleague and thankfully this was the first place during her 4 months of pregnancy which she liked and hogged like anything. The food was yum and was exactly per our specifications which made my wife realize that Thai cuisine will suit her better than any other cuisine. I will strongly recommend this place to everyone, even to those who are little hesitant to try Thai food.
The place is on a rooftop and is good for people who love a bit of cool and calm environment for a perfect dinner....The place has some really good Thai foodstuffs....The service is really great and appreciable...Had a good experience on my first visit to this place...Hope to give more visits soon 👍😊

Thai cuisine in Bangalore has really stepped up to the forefront, off late. When you have a chef flown in from Thailand, a terrace ambiance with bamboo, cool breeze and thai sculptures and waiters who know all the right things to recommend, you essentially check all the right boxes.
We tried the Tom Yum Soup, the Raw Papaya Salad, Thai Red Curry, Phad Thai, Stir Fried Vegetables (Pak Ruamit) and the Chicken wrapped in Pandan Leaves (Gai Hor Baitey). What particularly stood out from the rest, was the Gai Hor Baitey, which is not a very common dish in most Thai restaurants in India. The chicken was perfectly fried in lovely Thai spices, without the chicken losing any of its moisture, thanks to the pandan leaves. Overall, we still place our money at Lan Thai on Brigade Road (an absolute favourite at BFH) but Tom Yum Thai does not fall too far behind!
...thought of going on a date with my bff and bff (1 being boyfriend aka husband and other..best friend)..so after doing much research..decided to take them to Tom Yum Thai..
If I talk about the ambience...I sooooooooo loved it ❤️ a quite place..soothing lights and if you sit outside...You'll surely fall in love again with Bangalore..(Ouhh..that evening breeze 😍)
Now..let's come to the FOOD..
Me n my bestie kind of liked the food but my boyfriend didn't..
We ordered quite a few..but TBH not a single one was out of the world kind.!
Ambiance- 5/5
Food- 3/5
Service- 3.5/5
Value for money? - Ummmmm..kind off
Visit again? - Not immediately I guess..
Absolutely loved the spacious roof top . But the food was a let down. Green curry was more spicy and less flavorsome . It was average . There is scope for improvement
Great place. Nice and quiet open Seating place. Great food. Simple, and less is more kind of ambience. Good light music. Total value for money!
It 's a little spicy or else it's great.
We had a soup, noodles and a dish with broccoli, basil leaf and capsicum. We had coconut chilli soup.It was a wonderful meal.
Authentic Thai. Enjoyed it. My mind if place. Roof seating, quiet,. They turned down the music when we asked them to. That was nice. It was not crowded on a Friday night. Good for us, but I think they deserve more patronage.
Amazing Ambiance !! #ROOFTOP #LIGHTING #PAINTING. Good place for dinner. Soup was fantastic. Loved their presentation. Red curry was not that great. This restaurant will suit all veggie's. Might try this place again.
Lunch - Saturday - 1300hrs

Unfortunately in India what we see time and time again is restaurants which advertise their offering as something along the lines of "Indian - Chinese - Mexican - Thai - Continental" etc. I am a firm believer in sticking to what you are good at and any place worth its salt is likely to be disappointing if the management has chosen to spread its bets so thinly.
So it was with excitement and high hopes we entered the lift and up to the airy, wonderful light rooftop terrace of the strictly, exclusively and thankfully all-Thai sanctuary of Tom Yum Thai.
The chef is from Thailand, yes, check. The servers gave particularly good recommendations, check. The food actually reminded me strongly of similar tastes I had experienced while traveling Thailand some years ago, check. All boxes checked.
Tom yum soup to start and off to a bang with the galangal root and lovely juicy prawns resting in the coconut broth - the national soup of the Thais no less. Simply sumptuous and a great start.
Mains was a broccoli/bok choi stir fried veg which was very tasty and light, accompanied by crispy fried seabass. The fish was beautifully cooked, flaky and deep fried in a wonderful batter.
Phad Thai noodles followed : the absolute benchmark of any self proclaimed Thai restaurant. This was almost on the mark, and would receive a solid 8/10 from me. Only issue was a little too sweet. Phad Thai is supposedly meant to have all five flavour profiles and did not take me back to Thai bus stations and beaches like the other dishes certainly did.
Tremendous value for money also however no liquor licence so probably not the best place for the party animals. Despite this I urge you to check it out for genuine Thai cuisine as it gets top marks on that front.

Truly an authentic Thai restaurant. The Tom yum soup and Pad Thai tasted delicious rich with vegetables. Loved their presentation! This is a Rooftop restaurant and is perfect during evenings with less people around. The ambience and Thai inspired paintings are amazing. Would love to visit this place again!
It's a decent place for lunch,I went with couple of friends. We tried the raw papaya salad, stir fried chicken, sticky rice coconut curry and red curry.Loved the red curry, raw papaya salad and the sticky rice.....
Excellent Thai food in the middle of the city at Indiranagar, CMH road. We had ordered for their signature tom yum Thai, with lemongrass, kafir lime: Very authentic taste indeed, the fried chicken in Pandian leaves was little disappointing, due to lack of flavour, sticky mango rice could have been slightly more stickier & the coconut milk was way too sweet, Thai green prawns curry was nice, just the way it should be. Open air ambience with very minimal crowd was a plus point. I might try this place once again and pretty sure won't be disappointed.
Amazing food. We ordered National soup of Thailand with coconut milk, Thai green curry and steamed rice. Quantity is sufficient for two. All the dishes were great. Also, I really liked their ambience. It's spacious and generally not very crowded, unlike a lot of places in Bangalore.
We usually love this place and have recommended it to a lot of our friends. They have a simple, clean and uncluttered menu making choosing easy. They have red wine by the glass which makes dining very relaxing. Food is overall great and friendly prompt service.
However last time we dined there (3-4 days ago), both me and my wife got pretty serious MSG type allergies and had to leave before we had fully finished. I am almost certain it is the tofu/cashew dish (which was delicious!) We have a 5 yr old (who thankfully didn't have any symptoms) but would be very reluctant to visit the place again given this unpleasant experience.
Can the management please clarify?
We all know that Indiranagar is the place with a lot of hutsle and bustle, But a little towards the other side of it towards CMH hospital you would find this serene rooftop thai restaurant.
Once you enter you'd be able to see the hand painted walls done beautifully which would certainly draw attention for a while.
They have an open air roof top seating as well as an indoor seating, But the place automatically would draw you towards the open air seating.
Each seat would have a table mat with the benefits of a particular spice and its usage.
Coming to the food,
Started with the tom yum soup in the coconut milk base, It was thick and with the essence of thai spices giving it a good feel.
Next the clear version of tom yum soup was served and this one was soothing and powerful at the same same time with dominating flavors of thai ginger (Galangal), Perfect to clear your sore throat.
For salad, I tried the Som tam (Raw papaya salad), It was grated raw papaya in bell peppers and mixed with chilli sauce and topped with peanuts. Simple on taste.
For the starters,
Tofu fried with cashewnuts,
One of the best dish for the evening which was well prepared and tasted great , We also tried spicy version of it which packed an extra punch.
Next was the stir fried veggies in soy sauce and garlic, The soy sauce used was different (In a great way) than the usual ones which made the dish great.
For the main course, It was steamed rice and a couple of curries in coconut milk base, The green curry was my personal preference of the two.
For dessert it was Gadbud and ice cream.
To conclude, I expected the main course to be better...
This is a roof top ambience with dim lighting.. Apt for quiet dinners!! For starters, we ordered the traditional thai mango salad which was tangy with pea nuts on top and Basa fish stirred in garlic that was very well made.. This is shallow fried and sauteed in garlic and topped with pea nuts again..For mains, it was steamed rice with thai red chicken curry that was cooked in coconut milk with peas and brinjal which was slightly spicy..overall it was a decent experience of Thai!!!
Authentic Thai food.
Simple but very catchy ambience.
Tasty food.
Must visit place for Thai food lovers.
Had a very good time with friends.
Thank you guys for such a lovely service.

If you are around for some Thai Delicacy and in Indiranagar... You should try this place in CMH road. This pocket friendly Thai restaurant on CMH road is here to serve some authentic Thai food.
Ambience: This place has an indoor and an outdoor seating. Interiors are done to get you the feel of some Thai place. Wish they played a bit soothing music for the feel but there is some feet tapping numbers played. (that's my choice, but few of my foodie friends enjoyed the music played) Look out for some amazing wall painting and a Buddha with a blue LED. Looks awesome. Overall I love the effort for the place.
Food: We were served some of their best dishes as a part of the meet up.
Soup: We tried their tom yum Soup and boy it was the definitely awesome. I loved it for its taste and after effect. `This clear soup should be on to try list be it veg or non veg.
Starters: Tofu with Cashews (veg obviously) was perfectly cooked and cashews did compliment the dish well. There was also a Raw papaya salad that was served which consisted of raw papaya grated on the platter with some veggies and groundnut. Sounds thai to me but was not my favorite on the list.
Loved their Chicken with basil leaves, This tasted like a proper thai dish i have tried earlier. Fish with sweet chilly topping was a little too sweet and salty which I did not prefer. My choice is Tofu with cashew and Chicken with basil leaves. (Only if you are ready to try THAI)
Mains: I tried their steamed rice with Thai red curry and it was just perfect. Their ingredients were right and spice levels too. Definitely something you should not miss.
Desserts: We were served Gud Bud and boy it definitely reminded me of mangalore but i am not saying they are as good as our beloved Diana and Pabba's but definitely close to that.
Overall a good experience for your perfect weekend dinner with ur friends and family. WOMPBLR recommends you to Give it a shot.

Thailand as we know is a culturally diverse city teeming with life which includes sight seeing, shopping and most importantly their food.
Thai food may seem quite exotic to the unfamiliar palate but having travelled to Bangkok, I am lucky enough to have understood a little which goes into their cuisine and the art behind it.
Thai cuisine is one of the most loved cuisine worldwide for various reasons like; delicate cooking method, nutritional value and in some specific delicacy for its taste. Being a food diversity hub, Bengaluru has many well known Thai restaurants and among them all Tom Yum Thai stands out with its simplicity and elegance.

The 50th Food Bloggers Association Meet was held at this rooftop restaurant located in Indiranagar.
Food- Quintessential and Authentic Pan Asian Delicacies. Incredible Appetizers and Splendid Starters. Clear Chicken soup was superb. Salads were nice. Tofu with cashewnuts was remarkable. Shredded Chicken with basil leaves was spicy yet wonderful. Stir fried prawns with garlic sauce were brilliant. Sea bass fish with sweet Chilli Topping was outstanding. Despite Presentation being impressive, it was nothing exceptional. I am not a fan of coconut based curries and felt main course was pretty ordinary which needs a lot of improvement. The red gravy had a great flavour, I didn’t like the other two. The Chefs special Signature dish made out of eggs, prawns and squid ....... (7/10)
Ambiance- Although nothing spectacular, it’s amazing in its own way. There are beautiful Posters/ paintings on the Wall that give a marvellous felling of the local Lifestyle and Statues Symbolising Thai culture. Calm and quite atmosphere. Comfortable Outdoor and indoor seating. However there is poor lighting and no ....... (7/10)
Service- Excellent. The waiters are quick, courteous and treat the diners well but there is no parking facility ....... (7/10)
Pricing- Moderately High. Being much cheaper than other Restaurants having the same cuisine makes it pocket ....... (8/10)
This was one of the restrau which I explored during my lunch walk or wander walk in search of food. Had prawns curry with white rice. Overall satisfied with the food. They say authentic Thai and fortunately food tasted the same too.

I had the pleasure to attend the 50th meetup of Food Bloggers Association, Bangalore – FBAB at Tom Yum Thai, Indiranagar. The excitement of the event was justified by the authentic Thai food here. The rooftop place is surrounded by subtle Thai art and is a wonderful place for casual dining with friends.
Only place in bangalore offering geniune Thai taste. Service is good and whole setup is ambient enough especially for couples anticipating a romantic meal. Would visit again.
Great food delicious. Now this his how you should maintain the authenticity. Yummy. Craving to go back again. The service is great too, so friendly. I wish every restaurant was like this
best thai food and please go for the manglorian ice cream. nice ambience and positive vibes. perfect place to have a nice time with family and friends. lovely place.
A hearty meal in a cozy Thai restaurant tucked away in a corner of Indiranagar sounds close to a perfect evening!!! That’s Tom Yum Thai for you!!!
We preferred to sit outdoors and enjoy the cool breeze of the October evening. The décor of this restaurant is minimalistic, embellished cleverly with Thai paintings and artefacts and took me back to my many evenings spent on the street side restaurants of Bangkok!!!!
We being small eaters decided to go for couple of salads and starters only. Portions are cooked with care and were plentiful!!! Flavours distinctwith imaginative ideas incorporating the essence of Thailand. The Papaya salad is a must have!!! So juicy and full of flavour!! Stir fried chicken with cashews looked appetizing and was delicious!!!! And sangria – very very refreshing!!!!! Need to go back and try more on the menu!!!
Delectable food and the atmosphere fabulously cheerful and comfortable!!!! The hosts hospitality and checking on their guests added the perfect and complete touch to our lovely evening!!!!! Certainly recommended!!!!
Awesome awesome place. Been here for 3-4 times and have never been disappointed with either the food, or the wine or the ambience and staff. Every time we had tried something new both vegetarian and non vegetarian, it had tasted delicious.
We had accidentally landed here to have a lunch...The ambiance is pretty nice, though not extraordinary, with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outdoors and the greenery around was pleasant. The waiters were very attentive, could be to do with the fact that it was a weekday and there were barely any other table occupied. We tried the Tom Yum soup and opted for the coconut milk version. It was an excellent choice. In fact I packed couple of these to take home too. I have always loved the raw papaya mango salad and had to order it when I saw it on the menu. It completely justified my expectation. Since it was just my mom and me, I did not have the opportunity to order too many dishes to taste. For the main course, the waiter suggested the Flat noodles with basil leaves and chilly garlic prawn. It complimented what we had as soup and salad. I was interested in trying out a dessert from the menu, but was disappointed when the waiter mentioned that none were available. Instead he offered us the Thai sweet sticky rice with Mango with coconut milk sauce. I fell in love with this.
I would like to go back to try some other dishes too.
Had been wanting to go to this place and finally I did .
Ambience is good ,roof top view is definitely the best way to have dinner.
Let's get to the food ,for starters we ordered chicken wrapped in pandean leaf :this was okay nothing great although with the sauce provided was yum ,I found my portion of chicken a lil dry and over cooked .
Up next was stir fried fish with ginger :yum ,presentation was okay .
Diced chicken with oyster sauce : this was the best starter the flavours were perfectly balanced ,the only thing is that they should increase the portion per serving for this or have chicken pieces as to diced chicken .
For the mains
Tried the chefs special homok :the presentation was brilliant and the dish tasted yum .
Followed by tangy noodles which was cooked to perfection .
Overall the food was excellent
A must try for Thai lovers, you wont be disappointed. I'd give a 5 on 5 for food, quality, service and atmosphere. We had the chicken glass noodles for starters, chicken pad thai, green curry and sticky rice. Had the "mango sticky rice" for dessert, this is not on the menu as it is a chef speciality, so do make sure you ask for this awesome dessert.

Went for lunch. Seemed a little pricier. The spiciness quotient is similar to Indian foods, so, when you order medium spicy food, be assured that the food is going to be actually spicy :D
#PlaceAndAmbience - Decent. The open air space is preferable compared to seating in the hall. The breeze is good owing to the restaurant being located on the top floor. The ambience is minimalistic without any over the top decoration which is really good.
#Food - As told previously, go for medium or less spicy food to enjoy it. We took the baby corn starter which also had mushrooms. For the main course, we took the green Thai curry with a bowl of sticky rice and steam rice. The curry would easily serve two however, the rice portions will serve only one person. The curry with vegetables was a really tasty one.
#Service - Decent. Nothing specific to mention over here.
#Suggestion for the hotel - They can improve upon their soft drinks section by providing more variety in their mocktails section.
Tom Yum Thai has this open area sitting arrangement which is very pleasant and airy. I am very careful with the restaurants I pick to try Thai food.
The menu had a decent choice of Thai dishes. For starters tried the shredded chicken, main course the tom yum rice & Thai red curry.
All the 3 dishes taste amazing, light and fresh as it should taste.
Quantity was just right of 2 of us.
It is a must try place..
Ambience is good..not sure how it is on the weekend nights , since i went on a Saturday afternoon..
The occasional Thai craving landed us here. It's an amazing roof top place serving authentic Thai food. The place has got a Thai touch in almost everything.
Located at the CMH road in indira nagar, this place has got both indoor as well outdoor seating in the open air terrace.
The ambiance is quite conventional with a calm simple decor. The walls are beautifully adorned with the paintings of tuk tuk ,floating markets, muay Thai kick boxing etc. The inside seating area is aesthetically decorated with an eye catching painting of Thai temple on the wall with small artifacts of sleeping Buddha and Thai elephants. And in the far end of the outside seating area is the Statue of Buddha and big vessels with rose petals making a quite peaceful atmosphere.
To start the dinner we had the chicken clear soup with glass noodles. The soup was soothing for my cold throat,it was clear and mild without any oil and spice. The soup had considerable amount of minced chicken cooked in a broth of mushroom, coriander leaves and other veggies.
For the starts, we ordered the diced chicken with oyster sauce and cashew nuts. The minced chicken was cooked with onions and garlic and stir fried in oyster sauce with the bell peppers and tomatoes, fried cashews and sweet corns. It was amazingly delicious and the oyster sauce made the delicacy truly palatable.
For the mains we had the signature Thai green curry with chicken, egg plant and prawns served with steam rice. I always like to have my green curry with jasmine rice, but they didn't had the option so went with steam rice. The green curry had a strong ginger and coconut flavor and was the best pairing with the steam rice.
For the desserts, thanks to the server we got a chance to taste their signature special delicacy mango sticky rice with coconut syrup. Unlike the usual desserts, Thai desserts are filling and more characterized by coconut cream, tropical fruits like mango and sticky rice. The dessert was simply mind blowing and it was quite amusing to see the nice touch given to the otherwise simple sticky rice.
The Thai dinner was an excellent one. The service is quite fast and the best thing is the servers know the menu and explain/inform bout their signature delicacies while placing the order. Price for two is in the range of 1200 plus inclusive of taxes. They also have a nice collection of wines to pair with the food. It was one of the best Thai cuisine I tried and off course I will be visiting more often.
Went to tom yum thai on a fantastic weather day and their rooftop dining was a perfect compliment to the weather. Ordered Som tam, pad thai, Stir fried Veggies and sticky rice with mango. Each dish was as close to authentic as possible and brilliant. Sticky rice with mango was excellent. Looking forward to visit again.
Glassy noodles.. some typical soups.. Good to try once.. Ambience is awesome @ dinner..Diced chicken with Oyster sauce and cashew nuts, Flat noodles with basil, chilly garlic is good.
Well, i was with this friend who had a sudden craving for Thai food 😀 A quick search on zomato and we decided to give this place a try. Tom Yum Thai happens to be a rooftop restaurant located on cmh road, indiranagar.
The ambience in itself is minimalistic yet decent. The Buddha statues and creative wall paintings all over are eye catchy. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. We preferred the open terrace with fresh air.
Started off with Stir fried prawns in garlic sauce (Koong katiyam) where they served fresh and succulent prawns packed with flavour. For the mains we had the yummy Chicken flat noodles and Tom yum prawn fried rice (koong) which was a tad lil spicy but delicious nevertheless. A big thumbs up for the food 👍
We paired Australian wine and virgin mojito for our dishes. Yellow tail - pink moscato was super smooth and by far one of the better wines i have had in recent times.
If you are into Thai cuisine, Tom Yum is a refreshing rooftop restaurant worth a visit !!
A very refreshing place .. This place does justice to the Thai cuisine and flavours .
Dishes ordered - Tom Yum chicken soup , Mango salad , glass noodle with vegetables ,
Steamed basa fish , prawns in black pepper , Red Thai curry .
Will always love to go back again .
Minimalistic ambience, due to weekend rush, service was very slow, with harried waiters. I was very hungry and the service seemed torturously slow to me. I had a Tofu clear soup which was average and a steamed Basa fish fillet in lemon sauce which was super delicious. Will visit this place again during a weekday😊
I have been wanting to try this place for quite sometime now and just before dinner outing on a sunday evening, I checked out this place on zomato and wanted to try it as it had good reviews.
I called in to book a table and got a table in their balcony seating. The staff were very courteous and helped us order our vegetarian meal. The menu neatly classifies the vegetarian and the non-vegetarian sections in separate pages which is very convenient. The good thing about the menu is there is not too many options to confuse us and each dish has its uniqueness
We ordered the tom yum soup (water based), the vegetables with fried tofu for salad and the spring roll for starters.
Loved the flavors of the salad and the soup. Felt that the spring roll was a bit bland for my taste.
The portions are good enough for 2 people or more and we were almost full with food. To keep it simple, we ordered the "tom yum fried rice" next and once again loved the taste, aroma and the flavor of the fried rice. It was cooked to perfection.
They had limited options for authentic desserts but the one i tried called the "galangal honey blancmange" was tasty though my husband complained that he could not taste the galangal.
On the whole the ambience, food and staff were great. Its a must try place for authentic thai.
A good place to have Thai food in Indiranagar area, they have both rooftop and indoor seating arrangement. The restaurant stuffs were very polite and explained us the food ingredients. For starters we ordered chicken in oyster sauce and prawn in red curry, and the service was very prompt.Chicken was good, red curry paste was too spicy for me though we mentioned to make it medium spicy. For main course we ordered the restaurant special chicken in green curry with steamed rice and stir fried tom yum chicken noodles. The green curry was delicious and you can taste the profuse use of coconut milk.overall it was a good experience for us.

Wanted to have a light dinner. Found this place in indiranagar and had gone in. The ambience is really impressive, with budha statues and paintings all over the place. It is on the rooftop and one can enjoy it to the fullest when during a rainy day. Coming to the food it is really good, maintaining the authentic thai taste. I personally liked the tom yum soup of all the dishes we have ordered. There is also wine being served which haven't tried but heard they are really good. The service is good and the people are very responsive. Only request is to keep the serving of the items in sync with the speed f the customer. If the final items are on the table even before one completes the starters, they are being cold and blunt in taste.
A very tastefully done ambience, a smiling hospitable staff and a unique food experience welcome one here. Do try the mango mint cake-the best dessert we tasted in the longest of time. A total worth it experience
Few days back, I was in Indiranagar and I had a craving to have Thai Food. I searched for Thai places in and around Indiranagar; that's when I came across this amazing place serving Thai Food. The ambiance and decor is very basic, they have both outdoor as well as indoor seating.
I ordered for Stir Fried Chicken in starters and went with Thai Green Curry with Sticky Rice. In drinks I had a Virgin Mojito. I liked the Thai Curry, it had the right amount of all ingredients and tasted very authentic.
The service was excellent, the staff did not take much time to get the food.
Ambiance 3/5
Food 4/5
Service 4/5
Good rooftop dining arrangement... Authentic thai curry... Non veg and veg both dishes seemed perfect and simple, just like true Thai food... Spices were just right and so was the hospitality... No bad experience at all..
Tried their special curry but it was nothing close to authentic Thai. Their pepper chicken was okay. Nice to sit on terrace. The food arrived within 5 mins of placing order. Not sure if they keep already prepared food.
Visited this place again and found the food had improved..owner was courteous and took good care of us...updated rating based on experience from this visit
I love Thai food and I tried a few in Bangalore. I felt the food here was quite authentic. The service was really good, got the food in no time. Very basic decor inside. We ordered Chicken with oyster sauce and cashew and Prawn Tempura. Loved the prawn, crunchy flavourful and well prepared. Then we had green curry with steamed rice and stir fried flat noodles with chicken. The options for desserts were really limited. And of the ones that are in the menu, we were told 2 are not available. Mango with sticky rice is one of the most popular Thai desserts and they didn't have that in the menu. They can certainly improve the desserts, and bring in some Thai desserts rather than serving scoops of ice cream.
Overall a good experience, and will surely come again.
One of the best Thai restaurants in Bangalore. Consistent and unique flavor. Have tried most of the dishes by now and everything has been great so far.
As mentioned in many of the reviews, waiters are not very knowledgeable but they are friendly and helpful. It stays my favorite place for dinner.
Great Thai restaurant.
Ambiance and decor: Roof top restaurant with adequate indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is slightly dining hall like and the furniture as well as the interiors is poorly finished. Hard finishes all over makes it a very noisy place once all the tables are full. The lift from the ground floor is a pretty shabby one and the less said about the stair the better. The prices are very reasonable and appropriately the decor is budget. I would grade it 3/5 in this category.
Service: Sorry to say that most of the waiters are really dumb and cannot communicate in English and have less than adequate knowledge about the menu or the food. I have visited this restaurant a couple of times and each time they have messed up one item in the order, so warning: be very careful when you order. The management needs to focus on training their staff. For this I will give them a 3/5.
Food: this is where this restaurant comes into its element. The food is authentic and genuine and at par with the best I have had in Thailand. The Tom Yum soup was elegant and flavourful. The Raw Papaya salad was fresh, crunchy and filled with acidic goodness. I will grade them a 5/5 for food.
Overall, if you really love Thai food, you do not have a better restaurant you could go to in Bangalore.
The food was fine. The spring took had a thicker than usual covering however it tastes fine. The red curry wasn't spicy at all but the curry was cooked well. The ambience is fine. The restaurant was completely empty on a Wednesday evening. The staff was courteous.
Great ambience, legit food, kind staff, worth the money .
Category : Dining.
Summary : Good Thai food, value for money. Review : Located on the top floor of a building on CMH Road, this place is not easy to spot, unless you're looking for it. Having opened up about 6 months ago, this is one of those places that had caught on only by word of mouth about the quality of it's good food. And when it comes to the food, it doesn't disappoint. The ambience in the place is laid back and the place features both indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is simple, but works very well. The menu has a decent selection of food, while not being overwhelming. The starters that were ordered turned out to be of top notch taste. The Thai curry itself was too thin the first time around, and hence, we had to get it replaced. The basic flavours in it were spot on, though. The fried rice was good too. The only let downs were the limited choice of beverages and desserts. The value for money is very good, while the service is good - nothing extra ordinary.
Recommended : Yes.
We ordered the Tom yum soup and the coconut curry with sticky rice. It was spectacular in apt thai flavors. The food was filling and very delicious. The dessert killed it. They served us a sticky rice with mango and coconut sauce. It is so far my most favorite mango dessert. It's a place worth visiting for people who love good and authentic food. Absolute value for money.
This place has a nice ambience, food is nice too. The last time we went here we ordered phad Thai and we didn't like it a lot. The staff came by and asked us why we hadn't eaten the food and we said we didn't like it much. They insisted on getting it again. We said no as we were full. It was really nice of them to not add it in the bill. We asked them to add it but they didn't want to. So plus points for good service.

Really sweet staff. They helped us by recommending what to order. Flavours were delectable. Their diced chicken in oyster sauce and cashews, meatball chicken noodles were a hit. Can't wait to try out the other dishes.
We were pleasantly surprised with a complementary dessert. 😄🍲
The food, ambiance and service is top notch. We'd ordered spring roll, pad thai and virgin pinacolada. They both looked and tasted brilliant. The sweet chilli sauce with the spring roll deserves a special mention. I don't think I've tasted a better sauce in Bangalore. The menu has a good number of vegetarian options. Tom Yum Thai, I will be coming back for more...
X-Factor Rating - 4/5
Excellent Thai food. The outdoor rooftop area is quite refreshing. The staff is pretty good too. One star is deducted for not having some dessert menu items available.
This rooftop restaurant is located on the CMH Road of Indiranagar. You can depend on Google Maps as it is bit difficult to notice from the moving vehicle.
AMBIENCE: As soon as the elevator door opens on the 4th Floor, a simple environment opens up before you. Ambient lighting and attractive wall arts will definitely win your heart. They have two kind of dining setup. One gives in-restaurant dining experience and another one gives you the rooftop dining experience. Restaurant interiors has been crafted with decent number of wall arts which illustrate the culture of Thailand in a simple manner. While the exterior has been decorated with plants, pebbles and a statue of Buddha as a symbol of peace. They usually play some of the great EDM albums in the background which fills the energy and makes the evening more lively. They do have a separate smokers zone.
SERVICE: They make you feel like you are in Thailand itself. Most of the stewards appears to be from North East region and they are well trained. They will be always there when you need them. I haven’t seen them interfering in between. You can brief them about your priority of dishes and how it should be served, they obey it very obediently. As per my experience language won’t be a problem with the stewards or managers.
FOOD: It's been a while I tasted Thai delicacy. This restaurant illustrated a different level of approach by its culinary expertise in Thai food. Thai cuisine is one of a kind. They usually cook it very gently and it includes multiple steps even for a simplest dish. It requires a lot of patience and to get it right, it also requires expertise. Here in Tom Yum Thai, they have both expertise and passion. Our dining experience was really nice
Must Try: Tom Yum Vegetable Clear Soup, Tom Yum Veg Soup (with coconut milk), Classic Raw Papaya Salad, Tofu with Cashewnuts, Fried Tofu with Sweet Chilli Topping (Spicy)
DRINKS: As a welcome drink they offered Watermelon Juice which was nice, later during the dining session they presented Shula Red & White wine. I opted for Red Wine it tasted kind of ordinary but paired well with their Spicy Tofu. I also had a chance to taste their Virgin Mojito, it felt bit diluted and they have used lots and lots of ice which is really strange. Any how, taste of the Mojito was good but they can improve a bit.
EVERYTHING ELSE: Pricing is moderate and affordable. They do have dedicated parking space in the cellar. Whole restaurant is very neat and hygiene has been maintained well.
FINAL VERDICT: It's a perfect place to enjoy the Thai delicacy and lovely rooftop ambience is a boon. Whether it’s a romantic date or friendly hangout you’ll definitely enjoy the simplicity of this place.

Ah what an evening to relish with Thai cuisine. The food joint was situated on CMH road in a findable place no need to describe about that. Rooftop's now a day’s trend in Bangalore food market. Nice breeze makes this place more peaceful to continue with your meal. All around you can find the Thai touch starting from the interiors to the walls as well. You can check out the pictures.
So good about Thai cuisine is without any mies en place you will get good quality food on your table. That's what I got as food I will start describing food one by one. It may be long article please bear my bad English
Tom Yum Clear (Mushroom) - fine with the taste of galangal, limes leaf and other Thai seasonings. If I am not wrong they are providing fish sauce separately for the Indian guests. That's a good habit to keep Indian taste buds in mind.
Tom Yum (Prawn) - you can smell the good aroma of coconut milk in it. Seasoning and taste as per the traditional recipes as described on the above paragraph.
Minced Chicken with Basil leaves - Not so over spiced with the red chilly but the basil leaves accompanied with the minced chicken an awesome combination for sure.
Fish with Sweet chilli sauce - It's fried with batter coated and dipped in sweet chilli sauce. But the fish taste is quite different that's why I have checked and they are using Sea Bass which is one of top quality fish to use in cooking.
Two Oceans - I have picked up a Chardonnay to go with sweet and light from South Africa.
Prawn with Egg celery - Seasoned scrambled egg with sautéed prawn and chunks of celery. If you like flavours of celery yes this dish for you.
(Gai Hor Baitey) Chicken Wrapped in Pandean leaves deep fried - Not a great taste but these leaves are so good with their nutriotional values to have with. Please try if you care about your health.
(Som Tam) Raw Papaya Salad - Grated raw papaya served with a fresh Thai styled salad dressing and some ground nuts. Papaya is always filled with loads of Vitamin A and C.
(Gai Katiam) Chicken stir fried with garlic - Garlic is always a centre piece for any dish. But if you add that to the Thai cuisine it's just awesome.
Fruit Punch - I have prepared this famous drink so many times. But I have tasted this time at this place with an awesome taste. I will taste it again in near future. Because this drink will always reminds me my childhood.
Green curry with a bowl of rice - I never been tasted it with pea brinjals not at least in Bangalore. Pea brinjals have medicinal usage in Thailand as well as in India in Siddha system of medicines.
Vanilla Ice cream - They are outsourcing it from company called Ideal please have a taste. I will bet you can't suggest good place to me to have this kind of ice cream.
In a Happy note thumbs up for your trials to promote Thai cuisine in Bangalore and you are successful to give the authentic one.
Bon Appetite @Chef BB
This place has the tastiest Vanilla Ice-cream I have ever tasted. The Thai soup and Mango Salad with Chicken in main course is just lip smacking. Must must visit for Thai-food fans
Amazing Food, Peaceful terrace and good service. A good place to chill!
