Went there on a Sunday late evening for dinner after a long ride and I was pleasantly surprised after seeing the place. The ambience was very simple and very clean and felt completely desi feel. I was so happy when they had button idly and honestly speaking it was the best button idly that I had in Bengaluru after a long time. After that I had plain dosa and it was so nice to see dosa very consistent. The rates were all nominal and overall it was a nice experience.

One of Bangalore's uniqueness is the abundance of excellent Darshinis, or quick breakfast places. Ganesh Darshan at Jayanagar 4th block is another wonderful place for a wholesome breakfast. Their USP is Village type fiid without any artificial colours or flavours. We had their Banaras Dosa, a novel take on Disa with crisp bread cubes embedded in it, and topped with masala. The rava dosa was hige and extremely filling. There was a thin paste of herbs on the inside that added a wonderful flavour. The mini idlis were good and mu son gobbled them up. Other must haves are mango holige and black gram holige. Wash it all down with filter coffee and go home smug and content!

I used to live in Jayanagar a decade ago and my Sunday mornings were usually spent deciding which dosa establishment to visit that morning. Considering it is Jayanagar and good dosa joints are plenty, I think in a couple of years I became a bit of a dosa-coffee connoisseur. And this was one of my usual go to places along with UD. Along with the regular Karnataka breakfast fare, this establishment serves the best holige.
To this day, it remains the place where Bele and Kai holige are procured for almost all the festivals at our home.

Ambiance: Ganesh Darshan one of the famous restaurants to visit in Jayanagar 4th block. It is located at a corner which makes it easily noticeable. The place was crowded even though I visited on an afternoon of a weekday. It is self-served and outside seating is available, but beware of rats :)

Food: I had ordered a Masala Dosa and a Mini Meal which were reasonably priced. Masala dosa was awesome and crispy even though it was not oily. Mini Meals was filling but the taste was average. Saw many people ordering akki roti, couldn't try it though.

Service was quick. Overall I loved this place, definitely would recommend others to try it.
Must try: Masala Dosa

Ganesh Darshan was my regular haunt for coffee during “my office is in 4th block Jayanagar” days. They had good special items after 4pm especially avarekaalu (hyacinth beans)dosa and nice SEASONAL SPECIALS. I have enjoyed many unique specials here in the earlier days. The colourful tile work is eye-catching and the small awning in front of the serving counters with a big statue of Krishna in the center gives this small outlet a slightly different look relative to the other small eateries around.

I went here after a looooooong time (already been some time, this is a long due review which was sitting in my draft box in Zomato). The place is still doing good business but on the day I visited it was just the regular fare – “everything on the written board is available” were just regular items, no specials. I ordered the bonda soup expecting that the varan or the moong dal soup would be fresh at around 4pm but both the bonda and the soup was prepared bit earlier so it was not piping hot fresh made. It was also a regular dal (toor) soup and the bonda both were a bit salty. Overall taste was ok but it did not meet my expectations. Coffee was fine not the excellent coffee that I remember.

I think I went on a bad day this time but maybe my memories were more shinier than the reality.
Since I had good average experience here over time (bar this last time), giving this a 4*

Located at a convenient place in Jayanagar, serving amazing Dosas and Holiges, maintained well since long, is a must place to visit to have yummy food.

The variety of dosa is mouthwatering. Don't expect 99 varities though, but good. Holiges are yummy. Mango dosa and jackfruit holige are something special to try in seasons. Reasonably priced and always pleasant unlike other crowded hotels.

Must visit for a mango dosa...

Perfect place for a grabbing quick breakfast or evening's snacks. All south Indian dishes taste really great.. Button idly, bonda soup, akki rotti are must try.. It has very few tables to stand n eat, so be ready to wait. You may have to eat standing in the footpath..

Ambience: Establishment with no seating. Can accommodate 15 members inside the eatery, very crowded during dining hours due to its reputation.
Advantages: Tasty and fresh food ( you get amazing masala dosa) pocket friendly ( most dishes cost below 50), easily accessible, quick service.
Disadvantages: seating- but food compensates for it.
Recommended: Masala dosa, akki roti, kesari bath

Best place to much the delicacies of South Indian food. All the food what you get here will leave mark on your taste buds and you will love to come here again. We tried their akki roti, ragi roti, masala dosa, onion dosa and mangaluru buns. Weekends or holidays it's pretty much crowded but the taste is amazing. Do come here to enjoy some South Indian food.

Hello foodies

Indeed vehicle parking problem area

If you are looking for economical and yet tasty south India based brekky , then definitely you have to visit this place

🚨 💬 :::::::::::
From past 6 years am tasting here , certainly always incidental visit only ,... of course many reasons behind of it...parking issue.... as usual we have to sustain the rabble and we can't consume the food in a pleasant way because of some dissimilar reasons ( definitely we ll get disturbed ) ... here I would like to address cash counter person attitude , personally I haven't encountered anything wrong , with many circumstantial evidences am describing his personality 👎👎👎👎

when we stepping into darshan itself the ghee aroma entices us instantly

due to added enhanced flavours to same old dish holige ( bobbatlu ) , every time it will keep alive your previous impression

Must try list ::::

⚫Raagi dosa
⚫Ghee masala dosa
⚫Banaras dosa ( this dosa batter is added with bread crumbs which r deep fried and comparatively bit heavy stuffed dosa )

Ganesh darshan still identified by authentic filter coffee only not any more by ghee masala dosa ( in my point of view ) , Its tasting like same other branded Mayas... MTR... TAZA thindi... Vidyarti Bhavan....

remaining spread tastes same like any other hash-house but good taste though

I recommend everyone finish with illustrious filter coffee

peerless ::::: ☕
same old filter coffee ( fortunately , the coffee taste is still intact )

📈 ::::::::::

Taste :::::::::::: 4 / 5
Quality :::::::::::: 4 / 5
Value for money :: 4 / 5

🚧 ::::: immense vehicle parking issue... realize this before you plan

How many of you have been one of those early birds queuing up at the most famous dosa joint in Bangalore (which I won't be naming as Vidhyarthi Bhavan), but ending up not being able to get a taste of it or have a real bad experience squeezing next to a stranger? I was one but honestly you can minus the long queue and the uncomfortable warmth from a stranger next to you, and walk right in to this place which offers yet another best dosa in town! When I say best I mean it! You can go anywhere to any restaurant but all you get is paper like dosa but here, the sheer smell of fresh ghee draws you in and makes you want to come over again. I'm a fan of this, my tastebuds love what they serve. 😉

This iconic restaurant cannot be missed out when you are in town. This old restaurant has voted for best south Indian restaurant in Bangalore. So whenever I came for shopping in Jayanagar area I do not miss this chance to have food here. I love their masala dosa, and rava idli. They use pure ghee that’s why there dosa is very crunchy from outside and soft from inside. Their Banaras dosa is also very famous, do must try this. Filter coffee is a must after having dosa.

It is one of the oldest food joints at the junction of a busy shopping street in jayanagar. It is a small place with self service. Few years ago they have revamped the palce to make it more intrresting. The davangere benne dose and the sabakki dose are the famous dishes available which must be tried. Unlike other places the chutney served here is thick and the sabakki dose had soppsige soppu(dill leaves) in it which gave it an amazing aroma and enhanced the flavour. The badami milk was okayish. Overall it was a good experience, but due to many other outlets which are serving better quality, its loosing its value these days.

I had read about Ganesh darshan in news, guess they had won award for best coffee and masala dosa in Bangalore. Since then I have been going to this place. I have tried this place multiple times and even took parcel. This is purely vegetarian restaurant serving one of best masala dosa and coffee. They have simple menus serving varieties of dosa, varieties of holige, few rice items, Idli vada and Veg mini meals. This place is always crowded.

Masala dosa - 5/5
They have varieties of dosa, I always tried masala dosa with ghee or normal oil. This is the top selling item, always huge crowd at service counter. They have dedicated service counter just for dosa. You get the view of dosa making from here, I have seen the same person making it for years. He makes like 20+ dosas at a time. Pours the batter, applies the red chutney, sprays the oil, adds potato palya and rolls away each dosa. There will be another guy waiting for collecting the dosa into a plate on banana leaf. He then hands over the dosa with chutney. The dosas are crispy and soft, it tastes fantastic with chutney and aloo palya. You can ask for extra chutney, sambar if you want. I just love the chutney here, they make their thicker with flavor of pudina/mint. Each bite of dosa had with playa, chutney tastes better than the previous bite.

Holige - 5/5
This place is also known their varieties of holige.

Mini meals with or without holige - 4/5
Rice, curd rice, sambar, palya and bonda. Simple tasty veg meals. This is also pretty popular during lunch time.

Coffee - 5/5
I always follow my dosa with filter coffee. One of best coffees that you can have in bengaluru.

Service - 3/5
It is self service restaurant. Wish they could do better crowd management. However, they are pretty well organized and you should get your order pretty quick

Hygiene - 3/5
Easily one of the best places compared to many other similar places. I have seen this place mostly clean. Even the kitchen looks need and tidy.

Value for money - 5/5
Easily one of the pocket friendly eateries

Had been here for Sunday brunch, loved the crispy masala dosa. The chutney is really good. Had to admit, never had such a good khova hollige. They offer quiet variety of hollige. The place is economical considering it's locality. Bit crowdy and you have to struggle to get parking. Will I come back again? Yes, no doubt. Enjoy the food!!

A regular customer of this place we like to call “dosa camp”. The food quality has been consistently excellent! Tried the Palak dosa and gulkand holige in my last visit here.

The Palak dosa is soft and fluffy, it’s served with delicious sagu and chutney. There are a few Palak leaves in the dosa but not very prominent in taste. The holige was also delicious and wasn’t overpowered by the gulkand flavour.

Must visit when you are in Jayanagar!

This is a place that I’ve been visiting from my childhood. My earliest memories of eating crunchy, delectable masala dosa and slurping yummy coffee are all associated with Ganesh Darshan (known as Dosa Camp before).

The masala dosa and the onion dosa are excellent here. Their chutney is one of the best in south Bangalore. Idli’s are soft and delectable; but the vada could be better. Mangalore bun is good too. But be sure to grab them when they are freshly made early in the morning. Else they become really rubbery.

The show stopper is the filter coffee. This coffee is renowned as the best coffee in Bangalore, a title that it still lives up to today. If there’s anything that you need to try on this menu, then it’s the coffee.

Staff are friendly and the hotel is located on the main road. There’s plenty of space to stand outside and have your meal.

This iconic place has shaped south Bangalore and deserves a visit by everyone residing here.

Good clean place for a quick bite

A darshani that is Udupi Mangalore styled.

Been there for bfst,

Idly was soft and the chutney + sambar was tasty

Loved the set dose, was more like the kali dose of yesteryear’s. Soft, not oiled too much. I don’t like the sagu and the guys were kind to give me the palya

The menu included items like buns, Akki rotti etc. saw folks eating them and looked tempting

All in all a tasty and safe joint.

This place has been one of the famous south Indian breakfast for a very long time now. I have been going to this place since I was 3year old. It has never failed to serve the best dosas. The dosa use to be 5rs back then which has gone up to 35rs now.
The quality has gone down a bit compared to before but they still have the best food.
Their masala and plain dosa are golden brown, very crispy, and has butter coating which is mouth watering.
The onion dosa here is surely the best. It is accompanied by sagu. Best combination.
My next favourite is vada and coffee. Don't get such tasty ones anywhere else.
Idly and bissibelebath are good nothing exceptional.
A must visit for the dosa lovers.

Slightly embarrassed to be doing this to a rightful legend but here goes anyway. In the dosa scheme of things, this eatery belongs in my top 5. In addition, they are one of the rarest of rare places that do akki rottis. Also feature sexy chutney and a generous kesari bath. One of my earliest memories of eating out in Jayanagar, along with Sukh Sagar and the local pani puri gaadi.

Sure, there are around a 100 places serving good South Indian tiffin in Bangalore and  one such place will be Ganesh Darshan for their crispy, perfectly golden dosas and good filter coffee. But in our opinion, what sets it apart from the other 99 places is their epic Mangalore buns. Probably some of the best we've ever had. . .look at those buns, dont you just wanna pop them?!

P.S. We recommend trying the mangalore buns here ONLY and ONLY in the morning (before 10 or 11 am), while they're still fresh. Anytime later and they'll all be over or you'll just get deflated, stale buns

WHAT THEHEEBEE SAYS ABOUT VISIT TO GANESH DARSHAN:

Ganesh Darshan is a prominent eatery (Darshini) located at the popular Jayanagar 4th Block, Bengaluru. It’s fame stands tall with the likes of Vidyarthi Bhavan, Adigas etc. It is quite popular among the Bengalurians and for many people its customary to visit Ganesh Darshan during every visit to Jayanagar 4th Block.

We visited Ganesh Darshan recently during our visit to Jayanagar 4th block. We reached around noon, so this experience is about lunch.

It is very easy to reach the place. Google shows the proper way. Also, for popular eateries like this, everyone in that area will be able to help guide the way. There is no car parking available outside the eatery. However limited two-wheeler parking is available. But parking is never a problem at Jayanagar. There is ample parking in the whole area including one on the top floor of the bus-stop. The best way to visit Ganesh Darshan is to park the vehicle in a nearby parking spot and then walk to it. It is always a pleasure to walk across Jayanagar.

The eatery is a proper ‘Darshini’ setup. It serves limited menu and guests have to eat while standing. There is no seating area. But people do sit around the adjacent shops and enjoy the food along with the shade and hustle-bustle of Jayanagar shoppers.

Ganesh Darshan has a limited menu but it promises to serve one of the best South Indian (particularly Karnataka) cuisine like – Dosa, Idli, Vada, Akki Roti etc. Filter Coffee is a must have at Ganesh Darshan.

WHAT THEHEEBEE HAD:

Masala Dosa: Crisp and buttery with the perfect golden brown crust. A dollop of delicious potato saagu inside. I feel that this delicious Masala Dosa can be compared to any other popular Dosa joint at Bengaluru and is better than the majority of the darshinis across Bengaluru.

Idli-Vada Sambar (Dip): Soft and fluffy Idli with perfect deep fried Medu Vada dipped in delicious Udupi Sambar. Definitely a delight on the taste buds.

Akki Roti: Good Akki Roti can usually be had at homes of Kannadigas. Ganesh Darshan surprised me with one of the very delicious Akki Roits that I could mention about. It was apt crisp and served with tangy tomato chutney.

Curd Vada: It was again a delicious crisp Medu Vada soakd in curd of perfect density. The curd was sweet and salty in taste. It was served with crispy boondi.

Benaras Dosa: This was something which we had for the very first time in our life. It is a speciality of Ganesh Darshan and quite an innovation. It is an Uttapa kind of dosa with fried bread crumbs. The bread crumbs are deep fried and spiced.

Filter Coffee (Kaapi): At the end, we packed up with a shot of strong, sweet and hot Filter Coffee. It is highly recommended not to miss Coffee at Ganesh Darshan.

The dosa and the coffee here were amazing earlier. But the taste of the dishes available here has declined. The coffee is still good but is nothing like the amazing coffee served back then. The chutney wasn't good in taste. The Mangalore Buns was bland and had too much of oil.

Even Banaras dosa was sweet treat, along with soft and crisp akki rotti.

Ganesh Darshan!
A place for South Indian foods. Located in 3rd block, next to Big Mishra Peda, one of the well established and making a good name in the locality with their own standards and taste. Giving the authentic taste and natural recipes. Herd from many freiends that they serve the best Dosa's.
Tried Idly Vada Sambar, which was served quick and fast, where it was a self service restaurant, where they have arranged some tables to keep plates and have the food.
Sambar had a great taste with mouth watering flavour. Idly was soft and hot. Vada was not that great compared to other Darshani's.
Heading soon to try other items from the menu.

Another interesting dish I ate is the 'banaras dosa' ... dosa with toasted masala bread toppings !! It tasted pretty good although it could use less oil to make it tummy friendly .

Another Darshini in South Bangalore known for its Masala Dosa! Before this corner was known as Ganesha Dosa Camp and used to be jam packed always. These days the place is not as crowded as it used to be because of the other restuarants giving stiff competition.

Yet I love visiting this place for the quick bite of delicious MASALA DOSA and COFFEE. The dosa is crispy, chutney is perfect and the coffee relieves you from heavy head. They also offer Ragi roti, that I shall be tasting in the next visit. Highly pocket friendly and service is quick but the staffs are little rude and hygiene is ok ok.

So here's the rating for this place:

Food and taste - 3.5/5
Service - 3/5
Value for money - 4/5
Ambiance - it's a darshini; so you cant expect much.

Happy eating!

It is a small darshini hotel by the side of a main road.
The taste is quite good, I have had Rava Dosa and Banaras Dosa. I liked the fact that he serves saagu with Dosa, which is fast becoming extinct. Service is average as you would expect from a darshini, quality is good and price is reasonable. Good place for a casual eat out.

It was called Dose Camp earlier. True to its name it is famous for its varieties of dosas. One must try the banares dosa, tomato dosa, pineapple dosa and of course the masala dosa. Akki rotti is also available which is quite yummy. Another speciality is the Bele Holige which is served with hot ghee. The other darshini regulars like idli, rave idli, set dosa, etc are also very good. Coffee is a must have. Prices are very reasonable. Beware as it may get crowded in the evenings. Since the service is quick you may have to wait only a few minutes before you get your order.

If you've lived in South Bangalore, then you know this place. Also known as dosa camp. It's a darshini kind of place with no seating arrangement. There is nothing much to write about the ambience as it's a small place. They have the best masala dose ! Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The onion dose is also very tasty.I like to drink their badam milk as it's not very sweet(just how I like it).It is a pocket friendly place with very hygienic and healthy(and tasty) food.

A very good place for thindi (tiffin) in Bangalore. The items they serve there are so tasty and they surely can make your day. Items like akki roti, dahi vada, masala dosa, bonda soup are best dishes and they are the must try dishes. But, the place is too small, and there are no chairs for the customers to sit and eat, I hope they do something about that.

This is one of the place I generally visit whenever in Jayanagar 4th block. Love the akki and ragi rotti served here. The masala dosa is not extraordinary but good. The place literally gets jam packed from evening with people even standing outside. Give this place a try if you are around.

Was a little disappointed as I entered this place after having heard of many things, was wondering if I indeed have entered the right Ganesh Darshan, the place was absolutely empty at 8:30 in the morning and the menu did not have the items we had hoped and heard for. Had to settle for Idly, Wada, Mangalore Bun, Plain and Masala dosa. The Idly was nothing great but Mangalore Bun and Wada was very good. Masala Dosa was good too but I would not compare it with some of the best dosas in town. Chutney consistency was good but a little bland in taste with no flavor and less salt. The sambhar was found to be delicious. May be we went at a wrong time and hence could not try the famous Beneres Dosa, pineapple dosa, Akki roti etc.. Filter coffee was amazing. The prices are very minimal and it would cost about 150 for 2 people to try many items. The extra points have been given as they are known to use only home ingredients and no artificial things are used at all in their food. They serve Gramin food.

Ganesh Darshan aka Dosa Camp has been around for a long time now. I've been visiting this place since I was a kid. It's one of the best places in Bangalore to have crisp masala dosa.
Located in the busy road connecting 4th block Jayanagar and 3rd block Jayanagar, you can't expect any seating arrangement. It's a place where you go with the purpose to eat, not spend time or socialise. I love the akki rotti (rice flour roti) here. Rava idly, obattu and onion dosa are few of the other dishes that I like a lot here.

If you're new to Bangalore then you must visit this place and if you're staying in Bangalore but haven't visited this place then I suggest you do it right away.

We got a chance to have a quick lunch at Ganesh Darshan. We had Akki Rotti which was crispy and flavourful. The Mini Idlis were also very good.
We had tried the Masala Dosa earlier. It is one dish that Ganesh Darshan has always been known for. It has been very delicious. The quality has been the same in the last 20 years. The crowd has also been the same.
The service is fast.

Finally happened to visit this place after hearing about it for almost two years now.. And I have to say I wasn't disappointed...

The masala dosas were crisp and would soak perfectly with the sambar and chutney... They chutney was extra ordinary , without doubt.

We did try the mini idlis , vade and the coffee there, which were all pretty good but the dosas are what you need to travel to this place to from whichever corner of bangalore you stay in.

A place very much known for its mouth watering Dosas and superb coffee....
This place is also known as "Dosa Corner"
The dosas don seem so very different from the dosas served elsewhere.... But yes the aroma and the ambience makes the place just different...
The dosas do have a different taste..the chutney simply tastes amazing!!
Must try...Dosa with a strong cup of coffee on a breezy evening just makes the evenin!!

I have been a regular at this restaurant for almost 2 decades now, from the time they actually had a service hall, and it was called 'Dose Camp'.

I'll only talk about the dosas, because I don't even eat anything else here. I have heard that their coffee is terrific, but since I don't drink coffee and tea, I can't really talk about it.

The place is pretty cramped, and usually crowded. Quite difficult to find a table, especially during evenings and weekends.

But it's a small price to pay for their dosas, which are simply out of this world! It's surprising that they have maintained the same level of quality for close to 2 decades now. One minor gripe, though. The dosas need to be consumed hot and on the spot. If you get them packed, they seem so thick and dry, and it gets very hard to swallow. Pretty strange, considering that this issue does not arise with dosas from other restaurants.

The restaurant is quit pocket friendly. I highly recommend it. Don't miss out on perhaps the best dosas in Bangalore!

a very simple restaurant, once also called Dose Camp. The famous part here was the chef in the corner (near to the upgraded restaurant) preparing near to 15-20 dosas at a time ( So called Dose camp). The Masala Dosa is must try here. Weekends are very crowded so take your own time in having patience for your food. I loved the Curd vada too as its exactly the way uddin vada dipped in curd for a while and also Mangalore Bajji . After all your snacks a Coffee would give  better life.

loved the Masala Dosa and the Ragi dosa here, this is also one of the few places in Bangalore that makes good Mangalore buns. . All in all a good place to go hang out with your friends and have some tasty dosas

On a spree to review all the legendary breakfast places in Bangalore I have secretly been enjoying since childhood.

Episode 2:

It was my daily breakfast place for almost 1 year (alternating with Upahara Darshini) and have tried out most of the dishes on the menu. It's a must try place. I recommend their Masala dosa and Rava dosa served with saagu, chutney and sambar.
Standing on the pathway of one of the busy streets of Jayanagar and having their legendary dosas gives the feeling of being a true bangalorean!! Must try!!

Price - 5/5
Food- 4/5 (sometimes it's too oily)
Ambience - Darshini style.

It is a fabulous joint for relishing South Indian food. Well, you will see that it is not really a proper restaurant - they have these heightened tables and you have got to find a place to eat on those.

They have self service system.

After you bill, you have to get your food with the coupons. And I must warn you about the rush. This place is bustling with people at any hour of the day. AMAZING!!

This place has a lot of popularity in Bangalore.

So must try are the masala dosa and the coffee.

I had the rave idly - it was a good dish, but the serving portion was less for the price. They serve only one rave idly along with coconut chutney and some sabji sort of dish instead of sambhar. They serve it on a banana leaf placed on the plate - so this gives the traditional feel. The serving on banana leaves clears up your doubt on the hygiene of the culinary. The idly had various veggies in it and it tasted really good.
The masala dosa was just finger licking - made in pure ghee! This one is served with coconut chutney and sambhar. The ghee and the masalas on the dosa are really tasty, not to mention the aroma of the ghee!!
The mini idlis were delicious, small idlis dipped in piping hot spicy sambhar!! Total delight to the grumbling stomach. :)
Yummm....

The coffee is a real treat to the taste buds - have always loved the coffee here. The aroma and the taste - the best combo.

They have slashed the prices of the dishes available .

And to note that they have people who keep cleaning these tables on regular intervals and collecting the leftover plates.

In all a must try place! :)

This is one of those place whose name invokes immediate nostalgia. The number of times i used go here with my friends just to have their awesomatic filter coffee is countless. Sipping the coffee in that chilly Bangalore evening sitting on the platform along the darshan is just  mellifluous. I am also a fan of their akki rottis and ragi rottis. Once tired their Benaras dosa but found it difficult to finish it as it got overwhelming half way through. Bonda soup is another dish that instantly stimulates my salivary glands when i just think of it. Vada Sambar, mini idly, khara bath are other specialties of this place. Cost is very very cheap and the service is super fast. Ganesh Dharsan is one of the must visit food joint if you happen to touch Jayanagar.

Dosa Camp. That's what it's known as. The masala dosa is the stuff of legends. The locals swear by it, and the visitors jostle to find a place for themselves on the large table. I've made it a point to visit it every time I go to jayanagar.

The button idlis, are also good, but they rarely make them..

I've been visiting this place since I was a kid.  This used to be a dining place with Indo-chinese, South and North Indian dishes in their menu. I remember seeing many celebrities having a good time in this place.
The management changed it into a darshini couple of years ago and now it caters only south Indian food. It gets heavily crowded in the evening time and during weekends. Whenever I come here i always order Masale dose with either mangaluru bajji or buns. all these items  are pretty good. Nothing extraordinary.
My friend once ordered the famous banaras dose but couldn't finish it as he didn't  like bread pieces over dose.

After shopping we thought of having some light dinner. Saw this Dose Camp opposite to Bata showroom. Went inside there is a small area with approx 5 tables for family sitting. Checked the menu. We took Ghee podi idli, plain Dosa prepared in Ghee instead of butter, which is good. Savige bath. The taste of savige bath was different from other hotels, delicious. We took Ghee podi idli 2+2 as it was so delicious 😋 with the chutney served, which were amazing too. You should definitely visit and try. Let me know your feedback 😋

Silver and Gold Dosa! Damn nice! Banarasi Butter Dosa had bread on top of Dosa, slightly sweet, so least of the best i d say. The take on Onion dosa was really nice. Fun fact - they used to serve only Dosa's as the main offering and people would come from the City side to grab some! They have expanded and renovated and added a lot more to the menu however the old charm and authentic vibe is still intact

Title: A Vibrant and Lively Experience at Dose Camp Jayanagar Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5) If you're a dosa lover seeking a bustling atmosphere and authentic flavors, Dose Camp Jayanagar is the place to be. I recently visited this self-service restaurant, and while the experience was undeniably vibrant, the crowd could be a double-edged sword. Ambiance: The restaurant's lively ambiance creates an energetic buzz that adds to the overall dining experience. It's a popular spot among locals and tourists alike, resulting in a bustling atmosphere that showcases the true essence of South Indian street food culture. Service: As a self-service restaurant, the staff's role was primarily limited to taking orders and ensuring the tables were clean. While they were prompt in their duties, the high number of customers at peak hours could sometimes lead to slight delays. However, I found their approach friendly and accommodating, despite the busy environment. Cuisine: Dose Camp Jayanagar undeniably excels in its dosa offerings. The extensive variety on the menu caters to diverse tastes, ensuring there's something for everyone. The dosas are flavorful, well-cooked, and generously filled, offering a delightful explosion of South Indian spices and ingredients. The chutneys and sambar served alongside the dosas perfectly complement the dishes. Crowded Environment: The restaurant's popularity comes with a downside - it can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours and weekends. Finding a table might require some patience, and the noise levels can be high. If you prefer a more serene dining experience, visiting during off-peak hours might be advisable. Hygiene: Given the self-service nature and the constant influx of customers, maintaining absolute spotlessness is undoubtedly challenging. However, during my visit, I noticed the staff making sincere efforts to keep the dining area tidy and presentable. Price: The pricing remains reasonable, and the affordability adds to the restaurant's appeal. While you might have to deal with crowds, the value for money offered makes it worth the experience. In conclusion, Dose Camp Jayanagar is a must-visit for dosa enthusiasts who enjoy the vibrant charm of a bustling eatery. The delicious dosas, friendly staff, and reasonable prices make it a popular choice among locals and tourists alike. However, if you prefer a quieter ambiance and a more relaxed dining experience, it might be best to plan your visit during less crowded hours. Despite the crowd, my overall experience was enjoyable, and I would recommend Dose Camp Jayanagar for anyone eager to savor authentic South Indian dosas in a lively setting.

Peanut chutney with thatte idly was really good! Have to mention that size of dosa is BIG!! Also comes with many accompanyments - aloo palya, vegetable sagu, normal chutney and coconut chutney. I suggest that you first order for dosas, and then plan other items.

Open butter dosa 60rs Pudi masala dosa 60rs Mangalore bun 25rs Tea 15rs Coffee 20rs Taste is awesome. Definitely recommended this place. Its a must try if u are in jayanagar. Hygiene is good. Only problem what i found here is there are not enough seats for the people. So usually they have to stand outside the hotel and eat. Seating arrangement could have been made better based on the huge number of people visiting every day. You need to have patience to get your order. It took 20min to get just 2 dosas for us. Which is bit disappointing when you are hungry.
