The food is soo good..i went here by chance looking for a decent indian meal. Their menu is long. Many options to try. Multi cuisine as well. The staff was really courteous and patient. Service is fast. Their Indian bread section is quite good. I am going here again on my next visit, to eat something else too, may be chinese.
This place is a real paradise for vegetarians. I read the reviews where claimed it to be one of the best places for vegetarians, so I thought of ordering Malai Kofta, because that is something that not every restaurant can cook good, but I was amazed by the quality and quantity as well that they provide.
Rates are decent for the quality they provide. Ambience is really great. Location is perfect. The staff is also very generous.
Totally loved this place.
I was on a late dinner run with family and was in desperate need for Coffee. The staff Amy was a bit hesitant but helped us out with the needed Caffeine Shot. I’d like to specially mention Ammu and other from the staff for helping us out and for the great dine experience. I will be a ambassador for Shiv Sagar based on my experience today.
It’s a delight for vegetarians. There are multiple cuisines and everything is tasty 😋
Also, the ambiance is pretty decent.
#favplace #veg
Shiv Sagar will never disappoint you.
From chats to south indian to north Indian dishes they do it all and they do it well.
I have lost count of how many times I have been here.
Amazing service.
Amazing food.
Amazing place.
After a long time we decided to go to Shiv sagar , mg road.
Skipped the usual North India we eat here and ordered chilly paneer, Manchurian, pasta in white sauce, pizza and enchilada.
.
The food was delicious and fresh.
Just found the chilly paneer a little oily but the taste was amazing and the paneer was super soft.
Pizza was mouthwatering the crust was well cooked and filled with cheese.
Pasta was creamy and hot. Served with garlic bread
Enchilada was delish and full of Mexican flavours.
.
Have always had mixed reactions after eating at shiv Sagar. Either the food was too good or the food was average.
.
But the food is fresh and tasty if you visit when it's not too crowded ( mostly before 8pm)
Been going to this place since it opened and the food is good. The pizza, handi Briyani, tandoori platter, babycorn Manchurian and sizzling brownie is a must try! The place is crowded drink the weekends it better you book a table before you go for hassle free experience.
Perfect CBD joint when are you are craving Chaat.. street eats like pav bhaji.. dosa.. grilled sandwiches and more.
Highly recommended their sithaphal icecream and mango milkshake When in season
Amazing place!
This restaurant is just in the prime location of Bangalore in MG road! Had good place for parking and is adjoining to shankarnag theatre. This veg restaurant has some great variety of food! We ordered soup, papad, bhel puri, paneer tikka, masala puri, dal tadka, paneer butter Masala, Indian breads and some juices. The food was finger licking and just amazing. The staff and service is on point and the ambience is perfect. They have indoor and outdoor seating arrangement, the food service is fast and wonderful place for dinner. I highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again.
Ambience:5/5
Service:5/5
Staff:5/5
Food:5/5
Found this place while looking for veg north indian food and we were not disappointed. The place was crowded so we had to wait for 20 mins for a table. We ordered manchow soup, dal tadka and dry mushroom with roti. The food was better than my expectations and the service was very quick. Enjoyed our evening will surely go again!!
A great food junction especially for coffe and vada, their meals are an amazing choice as well. Service is warm and welcoming. Overall great experience.
Went for a weekday lunch here with a friend. An all veg restaurant, a nice place for vegetarians. They have a good variety of dishes - from south Indian to north Indian to Chinese, Italian and Mexican. We tried schezwan noodles with paneer manchurian and fresh mint lime juice. The food was great but owing to the crowd, the service was a bit slow.
RS Shiv Sagar has been my go-to place for great food and service and a wide menu. They have north indian as well as continental and Asian cusines and the taste is very reliable and very good. Even the chats are well-made.
One of the highlights from their menu has to be the lemon coriander soup which is by far one of the best in Bangalore. So is their crisp and juicy Lachcha paratha. The Paneer lababdar is delectable and so is the Dal tadka.
The service has always been quick and courteous. I have recommended this place to a lot of friends and family. However, I would say this is the best place for a calm day out with the folks and some great food.
The place is amazing 😍. This the 10th time I'm coming to restaurant. But the only drawback service is slow.Must try their chaats.Specially bhelpuri and dal khichdi
Rs shiv sagar this branch of its chain has a italian taste when compared to its other branches ! The food over is oki oki not that great like its other branches ! The staff over here awesome as we were getting late for our flight! They served the whole meal in just 10 minutes! All over experience was good !
Real amazing place to have amazing north Indian food , anytime.
A no brained for crazy north indian food.
We had -
Makai kababs - 5/5 (Amaxing)
Paneer Butter Masala - 4/5
Paneer satay - 4.5/5
Raj kachori - 5/5
Veg tacos - 4/5
Veg patiala - 3.5/5 (A new kind of sabzi made of papad , but taste was not that great)
Overall, a very nice and cozy place to have food.
Excellent experience. They also helped return my iPhone to me when I lost it in a auto rickshaw. This veg restaurant is well worth the visit on this bustling street
For all those looking for good chilly garlic noodles in Bangalore please try it out here.its a treat for the taste buds.Totally love this place and the food aswell
Very nice restaurant ..one of my favorite restaurant to have veg food in Bangalore..I love the ambience and staff are very polite ,service is excellent.. overall excellent place for veg food
You'll find good vegetarian food in a fine dining restaurant here. I ordered Alfredo pasta, rava masala dosa, coffee and idly. Ambience is good. Oriental food was better.
The only con I found was their insistence for paying service charge.
One of the best vegetarian restaurants in the area. Very nice ambience and service.
We have been there multiple times and tried idly Vada, rava idly, masala dosa, fried rice, curd Vada, bonda soup, dahi puri, sev Puri and coffee. All of them were delicious.
One of my favourite place for the food right from their commercial street outlet. This is on Mg Road with ample parking space. Food is good, had jeera rice, pav bhaji(some times salt to be added from our side ;) Staff are very attentive. Lovely decor. Cool.
Type of Restaurant – South Indian/North Indian/Chinese – Continental, Mexican, north Indian & Chinese cuisine. But Chinese dishes have Indian blend. This restaurant has only Ala kart.
Vegetarian/Non-Vegetarian – It’s a vegetarian restaurant.
Service/Self-Service – Service Available. This is a service hotel.
Parking – Ample place for parking is available. As this is located at the heart of the City which is always crowded one might find difficult to get inside the restaurant’s parking area. But once you reach you have achieved your first milestone to reach the restaurant.
Ambiance – The best part of the restaurant is the ambiance. Its an amazing place to spend time with family and friends and feels like you are in a five-star restaurant. We never got bored of being seated for a very long time due to its ambiance.
Behavior of Staff – The behavior of staff was good. They ensured that anything that we ordered had been addressed. But they need to improve on the supervision of the staff as sometimes they miss to attend on small request due to the crowd. As we had been on a weekend, had more opportunity to find how well they can manage the crowd.
Presentation – This was normal and there was nothing spectacular or eye catching.
Taste – I didn’t had lot of expectation as it was Shivsagar presuming this would be like any other branches of them. But to my surprise the taste was much better when compared to the Shivsagar located in commercial street or in Gandhi Bazaar. All the items that we had ordered were truly amazing and enjoyed till the last bite. Right from the starters to desserts everything were upto the mark and was not disappointed at all. One must try Virgin Mojito(on the sweeter side) which was very refreshing and enjoyed more than any other place. For people who like spicy starter should try for Tandoori Baby corn. The best starter was the Panner Satay which amazing. For cheese lovers one should surely try Veg Lasagna which delights ones heart. Since the restaurant was very crowded did not get a chance to meet the chef to thank him for such a wonderful food.
Service – Generally, the service will take around 15-20 minutes depending on the crowd and the no. of pax. As we were 15 of us they took the normal time as the restaurant was fully crowded. Even in that crowd they were able to manage to serve on time. This is the best part of the restaurant. They do take time but ensure that they serve within time. But one has to be really patient if they have placed order for a dish which consumes time to be prepared.
Pricing – The price when compared to other restaurants located in the same vicinity is normal. They are not exorbitant but within reach. They are at par with other restaurants located around this place and they are worth.
To conclude, its worth visiting once for sure, but left to peoples choice to visit again based on the taste, service and the location.
Crowded place but good food. Worth trying. Paneer tikka masala was good but veg manchurian was avg.
Overall a good option for trying out North Indian food
Went to meet a old friend on MG Road and we ended up going here.. The ambience of outside Seating is good with nice breeze it made it even better. We had pasta and triple schezwan both were good the spice level was just right. The staff was polite and friendly they took good care of us. Definitely will go again if i get a chance!
Nice place with beautiful ambience . Staff is friendly & polite .The outdoor sitting area gives pleasant feel. It’s vegetarian , good-food restaurant .
Been here a couple of times and have never been dissatisfied. The ambience is great with nice decor and seating.
The staff are well trained and polite.
The orders are served quickly as well.
Coming to the food, we tried:
Manchow soup - it is one of the best manchow soups that I have tasted.
Lemon coriander soup - pretty good, they added bits of paneer which tasted good.
Veg ball manchurian - the vegetables tasted fresh and the seasoning was just right.
Chilli garlic mushroom - this was delicious and the mushrooms were soft.
Roti/stuffed masala kulcha - the roti was good, the kulcha had a masala paneer stuffing which was delicious.
Corn and capsicum masala - this was better than my expectations, not too sweet or spicy, just right.
Peas pulav - prepared with long grain basmati rice, was very flavourful.
Have also tried their pastas, sizzlers (paneer shaslik is an all time favourite) dosas and thalis.
The consistency of the food (taste and flavours) is what makes us always go back :)
Very nice place with beautiful ambience and also have a outdoor seating . Very good place to hangout with friends . We ordered white sauce pasta ,Sandwich,Veg fried rice and aloo paratha and Kachori . They have their special falooda and Kesar falooda is Awesome.Loved it ...❤️
This place is located in MG road, a quiet happening place in Bengaluru with Commercial Street, Church Street and Bridage Road in few kms.
I am from Mumbai, I visited this place on my trip to Bengaluru.
The ambience was warm & welcoming with beautiful interiors and architectural structures.
For the food,
We ordered Masala papad, which was decently nice. Manchow Soup was different from what we have in Mumbai, but the taste was perfect. And as per the staff's suggestion, we added Tandoori Platter for the Starters. This has around 5dishes in the platter, everything equally delicious.
We went on with some Roti and sabzi, followed by Curd rice. They add Pomogerenate in curd rice. The sweet bite in between the chilled curd rice is definerely a treat to your tummy. We concluded with Sizzling Brownie. And it was amazingly tasty.
Shiv Sagar also has delicious Oriental, Mexican and Thai cuisines. Try them all if you like to experienment with foods.
Very nice place with beautiful ambience. It also have outside seating arrangement which makes it more exotic... Good place for family n friends outing.we ordered dal fry, Kali mirch paneer & basket of assorted breads.. food was fabulous. Service was also fine.. crowd was also decent. Place was almost fully-occupied all the time.. will definitely visit again this place soon....
Good food, nice ambience and not very expensive. Can get crowded and you may have to wait for the table. Overall it's a great place for vegetarians.
One of the best North Indian restaurant in Banglore.Visted this place many of times. The ambience is good and don’t forget to eat thread panner which is 🔝💯 and the food is good👌
Nice Decor, clean and tidy restaurant. Not a branch of the ShivSagar Mumbai, which is famous for it's Pav-Bhaji. Here, we ordered Lebanese Panner and Angare Panner for starters as we're not in the mood for having continental or Chinese after a day long shopping. Lebanese Panner is definitely worth trying and has different kind of marination. Angare was run of the mill. At the time we ordered for the above two, we thought of giving a shot at their Dal Makhani. In Bangalore, I haven't got a Dal Makhani over which I can drool in recent times. The last one was, some 2 yrs back, at Sigree Whitefield Branch (which is now shut down) and it was named as Dal Sigree. After that my quest for favourful Dal Makhani continues. We also ordered a Baby Kulcha basket. I must admit their Dal Makhani is some what closer to the Dal Sigree and I loved it. Baby Kulchas were a dwarf version of the regular Kulchas. And the final order was Dahi Vada, and the reason for ordering it was "We Smelled Dahi Vada" while we're waiting for our food. That smell was so tantalizing and in the end it satiated us. All in all a Veg restaurant worth trying.
Reasonable place for food, ambience is good and taste is impressive...
service is fast and they will treat u very nicely...
Must try - chats and cold coffee
This is my first visit in Shiv Sagar m g road here staff is very friendly way of talking miss Pinki is a nice server she have good knowledge how to attend to the customer
I ordered Veg Pulao for the first time. Initially I thought I ordered from Residency Road but it came from MG Road. I would like to really visit this Hotel sometime this year. It was one of the best pulao ever I consumed. The prices are too high compared to other restaurants. Thanks to Dunzo for delivering it.
This is one of my favorite veg restaurant in Bangalore. It's located on MG road, having a perfect scenic view of MG road and the metro traversing, if you decide to sit outdoors.
I ordered a vegetable dum biryani and it was more than enough to fill two people. The bill was around Rs. 250 + taxes. I felt it was expensive. But the taste of the food made up for it.
The biryani was delicious. The thing which stood out was the service. They are friendly, polite and were ready to give suggestions. I would give them 5/5 based on their service.
The ambience was decent. I personally love places that are not too fancy, so this was like a perfect choice for me.
So if you want to visit a veg restaurant which doesn't have many options, but the regular options with a great taste, then this is your place.
We found RS Shiv Sagar while looking for budget options around MG Road. Accidentally stumbled upon this place and it was the best accident ever.
We ordered pav bhaji, lacchha paratha, paneer butter masala and biryani. All the food was flavoursome and the portions were super satisfying.
The service was prompt and very attentive. We received the ordered food within 10 minutes of placing the order. The ambiance is really good too - they have indoor air conditioned seating as well as outdoor seating on a balcony overlooking MG Road (non smoking).
For a budget meal, this exceeded our expectations! Will we come back? Oh yes!
Loved the food. We ordered dahi bhalla in starter, broccoli corn soup and makai di roti with sarson da saag in main course. Very fast service and great quality food. We ended with strawberry shake which was a cherry on the pie.
Amazing ambience strategically placed on MG road . Good menu on the offer
Good mix of menu .
South Indian is recommended .
Good place to grab snacks in the evening.
I visited last week in a group of 10 people. I was a little apprehensive about the quality of food and ambience till I visited there ( there are many Shanti Sagar and Shiv Sagar in Bangalore which may be good for daily meal but not for party, and I was thinking it may be the same), but as a pleasant surprise, the food was fabulous and the ambience was also great. I recommend to try Veg Sizzler and mocktails..would love to visit again..
Only minus point is - it is a bit costlier then what mentioned in Zomato page..per head cost would be over 600 if you order sufficiently.
Serves the best Sarso da Saag and Makhe Di Roti in Town. Their Paneer Chilly is also one of my favorite.
Ambience is nice, they have both in indoor and outdoor seating area.
I find this the best Pure-Veg Restaurant in Bangalore.
Well located vegetarian restaurant in centre of Bangalore. Yummy tandoor platter. Tasty veg Kolhapuri. Nice reasonable place for office lunches.
The Shiv Sagar theme and ambience that’s prevalent across the nation - this is very much at the mark in terms of food! My fav was the Chilly Paneer - a perfect blend of spice and malai paneer🤘
Ambience is 4 on 5
Service is 5 on 5
Pricing is 4 on 5
Quality and portion size 5 on 5
We ordered a tandoor platter, a Raj kachori, chaach and a tomato corainder shorba.
Overall good experience
CA Tanvi Chandra TanShambs
+4.5
We ordered a Dahi kebab, a chinese bhel, triple Schezwan fried rice, nargis kofta and rotis.
Dahi kebabs are out of this world and Chinese bhel, was a new concept but definitely a must try.
Triple Schezwan rice and the koftas were also yummy.
This is an awesome place with lots of food choices, nice ambience and polite staff.
Shiv Sagar's best outlet in town. Every item on the menu is prepared very well. An absolute haven for vegetarians. An ideal place to get fuelled up before heading to more shopping around this place.
Being vegetarian I can't find a better restaurant in bangalore than this one. The place never disappoints me.. starting from soup to main course everything is perfect.
You beauty - Best Veg food in town. You better don’t disappoint me. With more & more people thronging in, I only hope they don’t loose out on this great food.
I like this place, this kind of reminds me of mumbai style of food. North indian food is good here and also the ambience. If get a chance to sit outside dont miss it. Highly recommend this place
Good food & ambience.Keep up good food cooking cooking.I went with family over lunch on Saturday around 3 and was quick and responsive services. Keep it going
Thanks
Pure veg restaurant located in perfect place.. they serve Jain food as well which is plus point.. food is awesome.. my most favourite item is crispy veg.. ambience is nice.. staff is friendly..
Perfect place for family n friends..
This R.S SHIV SAGAR is a pure veg restaurant located in M.G road and it's a service hotel, there ambience is very good especially in the night with the lights, they have indoor door and outdoor seating, they have maintained the place very well and clean. The staff here are friendly and quick response they give and suggest the food which to have.
The food in this restaurant we had was tasty enough and food was served on time and quantity of food given was good. They serve south indian, North India, mexican, continental, and street food.
Must try walnut with lychee salad it was the best and broccoli soup was also good.
Had been here once for lunch and once for dinner had a good experience. Have uploaded only lunch pictures.
4 bcoz very nozy, food 5 on 5 , service 5on5 , Nargis kofta, cheese ball, tandoor platter all are very good , disappointed with pav bhaji not upto the mark
Ambience 4
Service 5
Food 4.5
It was 1st May and full of crowd for the dinner. The ambience was like a market and so noisy. But, it was really good and never felt it like a disturbance. I would say ppl are happy about the food and the peers with them.
With that crowd, Max 10 min time they have taken to serve things as well as they listen what we ask for.
We tried some starter, Biryani , Pasta etc all were too good. Thanks to those chefs who prepared well!
Each and every item in the menu is amazing... a very good place to hangout with family or friends. If you happen to visit this place, do try their starters THREAD PANEER and CHOCO BROWNIE SIZZLER.
Ambience is good. They have a pretty good menu as well and I was spoilt for choice. Perfect for that indian food craving moment. I’ve tasted their continental dishes too, but I think they play the indian game better!
One of the best place for all vegetarians. The variety of food they serve here is great. Always full because of food and service they provide. Sizzlers are the best.
Good food, fast service, right in the centre of the city that too are affordable prices. Eating here is literally like less than 400 bucks. If you want to quickly grab some indian food, then this is the place.
I have been here thrice or may be more.. and the food here is simply amazing..be it anything..North Indian, Italian..everything is jus amazing. I haven't tried the desserts so don't know abt tht...bt apart from that I love the food here..North Indian u can definitely try here..and also the risotto..it's awesome.
Nice place for all your tummy needs. Went there in the evening and liked the chats
Spacious and well located. Ample parking around the restaurant available.
Good staff and good and clean rest rooms.
A good place to catch up with friends and family at this place and sure the atmosphere will add to the lovely food.
Try it out.
Wow what a hidden gem. I had missed this place 3 times before somebody point it out to me. Vegeterian food, great value for money, great service. Only draw back, the road noise, stay indoors if you want to relax :)
This restaurant is great w.r.t taste of food. Everything we had ordered was awesome. Broccoli Almond Soup, Panner Chilli, Babycorn Manchurian, Sizzler China Platter, Spaghetti Napolitana. All these are a must try for people who like these.
Only Con is - they should not levy service charge actually as the price for all the food items are already at premium price
Nice place, good service and variety of veg options. We opted for veg platter, it could be better. Also, we took masala papad and tawa biriyani. Everything was good. Price is slightly on the higher end but few items are worth it.
The variety of starters, food, desserts are probably the higest in any South Indian restaurant. They serve quality food with balanced taste. However, they all are priced at a premium, which is little hard to justify.
Great food!
My family has been going here on and off at least for 3 decades. The quality of food has always been consistently good. Variety speaks for itself in that they cater to all kinds of Indian vegetarian foods. Highly recommend the Chinese and indo-Italian pastas. I have dined in and had take outs/deliveries multiple times and never dissapointed.
Had visited on A Sunday evening for dinner, yes was crowded with 30 minutes of waiting , but yeah had gone with group of 10 people and yes all liked the place, the ambience, the vast menu, friendly service. Worth the time and effort. Surely a must visit but yeah comes with high pricing.
RS ShivSagar Bangalore
Most of the people in Bengaluru are hardcore non-vegetarians, but still, there is one set of audience who prefer going to veg restaurants.
It was an amazing experience for me to visit Shiv Sagar with my office colleagues.
From starters to main course and dessert everything was astonishing. The vibes, interior, and seating arrangements were on-point. Pricing is on a little heavier side but it's worth it
In frame
Cream of Tomato, veg sweet corn, veg manchow soup, tandoor platter, babycorn Manchurian, 3 bean tacos, butter naan, sabzi kolhapuri, palak paneer, dal tadka, dal khichdi, roasted and fried masala, sizzling brownie
Address: #36, PU building 1st floor, MG Road, Bengaluru.
Good vegetarian restaurant to go to especially with family or with a group of friends. You have parking space available. A little too crowded when I went, even during the corona times. I had to really wait a long time to get my dishes served, decided to eat my dessert elsewhere as the service time was long.
However, Food and ambience is good.
A vegetarian restaurant in the busy and calm place of the city. MG road situated below the utility building premises makes it more prime spot, closely Accessed to the metro station.
Good taste and definitely good value for the food served. Very elegant and good ambience to dine in for dinner.
Staff are really good and food is just speechless, maintained clean, tidy and neat.
We tried paneer sizzlers, baby corn manchurian, curd rice and carrot halwa. All the dishes were cooked perfectly. The restaurant is full most of the time and service is little slow. They have outdoor seating as well, decor is good.
Wonder having been in Bangalore for more than two years now, but not knowing about 'RS Shiv Sagar' - an amazing eating joint in such a prominent and famous location right in the heart of the city.
Nonetheless, I got an opportunity to visit 'Shiv Sagar' for a family lunch with my better half last weekend. The place was guzzling with people in the afternoon and the energy was vibrant, multiplied many folds by the white and cream interiors giving a very fine-dine look and feel to the place.
We were a group of six and ordered 'Gobi Manchurian', 'Pav Bhaji', 'Rava Masala Dosa', 'Dal Makhni'', 'Paneer Rogan Josh', 'Veg Pulao' and 'Basket of Breads'. 'Rava Masala Dosa' was prepared for us on a a special request as our Grandmother (for whom we had actually planned the outing), who wanted to try their Dosa..Thanks to Shiv Sagar' management they accepted the order, though South Indian delicacies are available for breakfast or only after 3:30 PM. Everything tasted delicious, especially the 'Dal Makhni' and 'Paneer Rogan Josh', the testimony of which is that in a matter of no time, the serving plates for both the dishes were found spik and spun. Veg Pulao (served with raita) was also delectable, with each grain of rice easily distinguishable from the other, bestowed with an amazing aroma and taste.
The service (despite a heavy rush of people on a Sunday afternoon) was amazing and up to the mark. To add to it, the manager made sure to visit each table after completion of order, asking the guests how their experience was and if there is anything they could improve upon - a gesture not very commonplace !!
Would recommend a visit to 'Shiv Sagar' for sure - a must visit family vegetarian place for good food and time..Truly a value for money !!
It's a decent place to dine-in for North Indian dishes. Should try atleast once. Though crowded and noisy, it has both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Has parking space at the basement/back of the building. Dishes are well prepared with authentic north Indian flavour.
