Great food, nice theme, great drinks but high price is what best describes this place. Had been there on an evening still surprisingly we were the only people there. We took a corner seat on the outer section to get the rooftop feel and it was quite good.
The part of the open kitchen was just in front of us and seeing the chef cook was a treat.
They have the Jamaican theme and it is quite different and fresh. Their drinks are named beautifully and they are prepared well.
The food preparation and taste was excellent but not the quantity. Was expecting more. The service was good, the people here were quite polite and had the patience to explain the dishes.
But all that service might have been great as there wasn't anyone else there to cater to. Even though the theme was good the empty scenario made it a bit dull.
And mostly their prices are quite high and that would bother you as the quantity of food is not that much.
But do visit as it's a new theme with great drinks and tasty but pricy food.

We had been to many restaurants in Indiranagar, but we fondly remember this one. The place was almost empty on a weekend but the food surprised us even more
We started with small plates (Wiki Wiki Wings and Jalapeno Cheese Balls) which melted in our mouth. They were accompanied by drinks which were okay. For the main course, we had Fried Rice with Fish, Fusili with Jalapeno and Sour Cream, Jamaican Jerk Chicken and O'ahu Grilled Chicken.
The desserts were very well presented and we loved Coffee Creme Brulee and Salted Caramel Cake
The only suggestion I have is to improve the decor a little bit and maybe the serving quantities can be more generous
But overall a great experience and hope you will live up to the expectation when we visit again
It was a office party,we booked a dance floor n there was a dj n drinks.Everything was nice but food was not at all great.After dance the most awaiting part is food which was disappointing.
Went there for my office party and it was one of the best parties we had. Even though the place is small the ambience is calm and melancholic. I would say a good place for a small get together of 30 people.
In the place like indiranagar where huge competition between the lounges and restaurants to survive there is not an easy thing. Every restaurant will try to be their best. I visited this place yesterday. The ambient was not that great then I thought the food wouldn't be great but I was wrong I had order the honi honi mushrooms as a starter and the main course was fusili with creamy tomato sauce chicken both were yum they were really tasty. We had an amazing experience with the food. A must visit when you're starving for a great continental cuisine.

When you enter you realize that this looks like quite a dingy place. I had been here for lunch so the inside was not I guess decorated the way it would be in the evening. I and my friend decided to take seat out. The waiting staff is quite informative which is always a plus point. Trust me I had lost hope that this place could serve us good food. But I kept my finger crossed and ordered the dishes. Following were our order1. Wiki Wiki Wings - They were tasty yumm and the quantity was nice.
2. BBQ Chipotle Chicken Skewers - This was good too and had bacon pieces in between which added right amount of saltyness
3. Pulled Chicken Sandwich - The chicken was cooked to perfection and was juicy and the tomato ketchup that came with was also made in house..and we all know how that adds to flavour.
4. Dessert - TGK Sniker which was nice but we were full the next one was Dark Chocolate Temptation - this was a mouse and chocolate cake and I am not a lover of mousse until it is not perfect.
I felt that this place was a tad bit expensive. But other than that I would say a must visit if you want to explore Indiranagar.
Big Kahuna was big on taste, small on quantity and big on bill. The drink Rum Keg which was supposed to serve 4 was measly in quantity. Rest we stuck to beer. Among the starters, we had the large wiki wiki wings,Bloody Mary prawns, BBQ chipotle chicken skewers, non veg tiki platter, Jalapeño Cheese Balls, Texan bean nachos , grilled Mexican cottage cheese were all good. The main course with vegetable fried rice and all Asian fried rice were ok. All in all, great place for friends to meet. Lighting too dim and space but cosy upstairs unlike their old Phoenix market city outlet of Trader Vics,the decor highlights are same.

Grilled veggies panini - rather tasteless, though very soft bread
Dark temptation - beautifully presented, chocolate mousse and cake. A delightful combination.
Excellent place !! The open area on top floor reminds you of the terrace parties you'd have when your parents were away ..

You say Big Kahuna, and first thing that pops up is Pulp fiction. As claimed in the movie, this Hawaiian burger joint serves pretty good burgers indeed. Their burgers have a different flavour to them altogether. I recommend The Big Kahuna Burger(beef), a speciality of theirs which can also be requested with a chicken patty. The joint gives you an air of Hawaii and if you prefer an open seating arrangement, they have just the spot.

This place had been on my wish list for so long but I could never try it due to the distant locations of the restaurant. I was finally presented with an opportunity to try out their dishes at the Stepping Out food festival. This was our second stop and I was quite excited as I had read really good reviews bout them not to forget the high ratings.
They had only a few options in both veg and non veg starters but I still tried to make the best out of it. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have any burger options in their menu which was my major interest for visiting this place. I chose to order the Italian chicken sliders (as a replacement for my missing burger) and chicken cheese spring rolls. Those sliders were absolutely smashing and a must order here. The chicken was so juicy, succulent and packed with flavor. The spring rolls were pretty good too but couldn't match the former dish. Now that I have tasted the food here and loved it so much, I am definitely going back to try their mains. The guys at the stall were warm and friendly so I am expecting some really good service here as well. On hearing my woes, they gave me a few promotional discount vouchers and requested me to pay a visit to their outlet. The pricing is a little high but so is the quality of the dishes served here. Will update soon once I get a chance to visit. Highly recommended!

Had quite a delightful meal here on a Sunday evening. The pasta with white cream sauce was the best amongst spaghetti Bolognese and the red thai curry we had ordered. The service was pretty quick owing the fact there were a very few people there. Along with a cozy ambience this place has a good feel to it! Definitely worth a visit.
The ambience is nice, the staff is very adaptive, the big kahuna drink and chicken nachos are a must try, the music is energetic, and lastly the food was very tasty.
I wanted to try this place for a long time and finally did. Outstanding service. I almost felt like I was sitting on my own terrace. The ambience gives you a feel of not being in Bangalore. The chicken wings has a nice smoked flavour and the cocktail was potent. It was a beautiful time spent here on a Sunday evening.
I fell in love with the both food and the ambience of big Kahuna. For starters we ordered the baby corn skewers, loved it but the quantity was very less. But it was truly compensated for when the main course arrived. The jalapeño sour cream fusilli was very delicious and the finely made cocktails made is so much better. The service was good. Overall it was a very good experience and I will definitely visit the place again.
I was a big fan of this outlet when it was at Phoenix Whitefield. The space here is relatively smaller, but nicely done. I like the open extended balcony seating here the most. The decor and ambiance is simple with low lightings and big zombie statues around. I tried the Chicken Nachos, Sliders, Chicken wings, Chicken Pita BBQ, Chicken sandwich and few beverages. Decent portions for high prices but with an average taste. I liked Crème Brulee, Dark Chocolate temptation in desserts and while Cocktails are a big disappointment, Puerto Principi which is Pina colada in mocktails was good. The place was mostly empty when I visited so enjoyed the dedicated and prompt service. I miss the Crab samosas they used to serve in Whitefield. I wish they bring back their specialties.
Gud place n like d food over there. Starting from the starters to the desserts everything is recommendable. Want to specially mention the jalapeño cheese balls . overall had a good experience everytime we went there.
Some of the best food that I've had in B'lore. Absolutely loved all three courses and the cocktails we ordered. What we ordered: BBQ Chicken skewers wrapped in bacon, Bloody Mary Prawns, Steak in black pepper sauce and Salted Caramel Cake. The portion sizes are not I would call generous at all though! Especially the steak was a small cut, but brilliant! Happy with their service as well.
The place where I fell In love with beef, this Hawaiian space says aloha to your appetite like Gabriel Iglesias..proper service, decent price for the food they serve and music that says "hog on chum, no one will judge ya"
Sort of a regular weekend customer! Love the Hawaiian theme.. Food is good.. Chilled atmosphere! Definitely recommend it for those who want something different!!

This new Hawaii cuisine restaurant located near to Indiranagar sony signal. Me and my friend visit this place yesterday late afternoon. Most of the starters are fried options . Rates are not meets with the quantity. Food was delicious. Service was average. The ambiance and music is fine . Not bad not too good.
This place is just short of 5 stars.. Reason : over priced for the quantity they offer.. Go to this place only if you have some time to kill as the service is tad slow. If you keep the above 2 things aside, I can definitely say this was one of the best tasting food I had in the recent times.. I was really bored with the regular bbq s and buffets.. This place had some variety , being veggie ordered baby corn cilantro skewers, Mexican cottage cheese steak ,kahuna mocktail and chocolate brownie temptation for dessert.. Each dish was a killer and can be rated 10/5:).presentation was really good and the mocktail was sexy !I went with a deal from little app (in case you are interested you can use code (UMRNH)and download )got all these for rs700.. However , if ordering right out of the menu it would cost 2100. I would definitely visit this place again as I am in love with the chocolate brownie dessert they served..
Went here on a Saturday evening with family; seated on 1st floor ambience is Lil less lit. More crowd and attraction was on terrace area for food and drinks. On a summery evening we chose to stay on 1st floor in ac. We ordered nachos, burger, pasta, veg platter, mushroom starter everything was average on taste. However with the price charged, the portion was really small. Overall ok place to visit!

The Big Kahuna Burger (Tenderloin) is delicious with spicy fries.
We also ordered the BBQ Chicken curry lime.
We ordered a few mocktails and most of their drinks are Hawaiian based hence has a pineapple flavour which is awesome.
Now I know one of the best burger joints in Bangalore.
The only flaw were the mosquitoes.
Probably a remedy would give you a 5 rating.

Mexican food always brings the zest in my life. The flavours, the textures and the tastes-everything just strikes a chord with me. And I'm glad Big Kahuna gave me the opportunity to experience all that and more!
We started off with Texas Bean Nachos and though I'm not a big fan of Nachos, mostly because most places just serve those nachos in packets with a sorry salsa. Fortunately, here the nachos were amazing- the portion was pretty good and baked beans and sauce made it so much better.
The next on our plate were Chicken BBQ Pita. We literally gobbled them in a trice because they were so yummy! The chicken was very well done and not dry at all. Plus the pita bread was soft too.
For main course we had their burgers (because we had heard great things about them). One of our friends was vegetarian and for her we got a grilled pesto vegetable panini and the Big Kahuna Burger for the non-veg lot. Though the Big Kahuna burger was juicy and it lived up to its name, the vegetarian burger was a sad one; it was terribly bland!
Two other things on our main course menu were: Island Grilled Basa (I don't think I have had white wine saffron sauce before and it's safe to say that i'm in love!) and Jamaican Jerk Chicken (Chargrilled chicken- it said on the menu, but it was wonderfully soft and the jerk seasoning was out of the world!)
Last but not the least, our drinks- We had Chi Chi (A pina Colada with Vodka and Orange) and it was served in a large shell! We loved it!
Also, this was the first time I had Bira- An Indian crafted beer. It can't really be compared to Hoegarden or Stella, but it is definitely a good bet!
All in all, I loved this place-Maybe work a little on the vegetarian burger?

An absolute pleasure. One of the best cocktails I've ever had. Ordered for the coconut Based cocktails. It was so refreshing and tasted amazing too. For main course we ordered for the barbecue cheese sandwich which was easily one of tht best barbecue sandwich I've ever had, except that the serving was pretty small. My friend ordered for the veg patty burger, it was the softest burger ever. We also tried the jalapeno pasta penne, which was amazing ( for jalapeno lovers only) overall its one of those places you'd want to come back to because you know you Havent had enough of it.
A Hawaiian themed restaurant with funky interiors as well as drinking mugs. The music is just right (not too loud or soft), extremely quick and courteous staff and a plethora of options in Cocktails to choose from. We went to a batch party majorly for drinking (ordered different Rum based cocktails) and were thoroughly satisfied. Though I feel that the Veg and Non Veg Platter could have been better in terms of the portions they served.

I believe the folks at The Big Kahuna aspire for a somewhat beachy vibe, but the ambience and décor aren't quite suggestive of that. And the totem poles do little to lend to that effect. The food on the other hand, is presented in an extremely vibrant manner and the food does certainly look very beachy.
The ball buster was just alright, not too bad or not too good a cocktail. And nothing about it really stood out.
The jalapeño cheese balls had a lovely hit of heat and were filled with tonnes of lovely molten cheese and the accompaniment (which I think was a tangy mayo of some sort) was pretty good as well.
The chicken bbq pita was a bit of a disappointment. The barbecue sauce didn't quite come through and when promised, the dearth of a good barbecue sauce is always disheartening. The chicken was grilled excellently though.
The spaghetti bolognaise wasn't the best I've had, but it still was pretty good, not great, just good.
Not a bad place by any means and I'd love to visit again and try some other stuff.

Usually I don’t like writing negative reviews – if I don’t like a place, I just ignore it because, let’s face it, every restaurant is working really, really hard, and I don’t think it’s right to belittle a place if you have one ‘meh’ experience. A team behind a restaurant tirelessly tried to ensure their customers have a good time, eat well, drink well and (understandably) pay well! So this review isn’t negative, but please do consider some of the things here as constructive criticism :)
The Big Kahuna is not bad. It’s hardly a very descriptive sentence, I know, but that is just what it is! The place is pretty big - two floors - and they have a very rustic vibe. Their upstairs is quite big and airy, and I’m sure in the evenings this is quite a lovely place to spend time, but given the weather in the afternoon, we chose to sit down.
We ordered lime sodas (not very strong, but they were kind enough to make it a bit more lemony). For starters it was Chicken Wings - this was really tasty! There was a delicious mustard tang to it which I loved. But I really wish the size of wings were bigger. These ones didn’t have enough meat on it For our main course, we ordered O’Ahu Grilled Chicken and the Island Grilled Basa. Both were really well cooked. However it was the condiments that I had a problem with. The garlic herb mash was too paste-like, and the basa had a saffron sauce that tasted oddly like rabdi. Although I ordered just three dishes, I felt like they could've done more with it.
I liked the service a lot, their staff was helpful, friendly and concerned but the Big Kahuna needs to work a tiny bit harder on their food. If they manage this well, I think they can be pretty great! Good luck!

2 days back when I had been to indiranagar.. was in search for good restaurant to try...So me and my cousin decided that we will try "The Big Hakuna".They welcomed us with a big smile. The ambience of this place is too good.It was time to place our order.. we were totally confused with the menu.. so finally we ordered

The food overall was amazing! But a special mention to the Wiki Wiki Wings! When they meant spicy it was literally spicy, you can feel that kick, when it brings water from your nose and tears from eyes.Now that's what spicy is meant to be! Thoroughly enjoyed this place and totally worth the price! Definitely would recommend this place to my friends and would always come back!
Decadent experience. Miss the one at phoenix market city, but the food here wins hands down. My favorites were the veg platter, the fried rice and the barbecued veggies with tofu. The paneer steak with pepper coulis and garlic herb mash was pretty decent too. Also, loved the 'Queen Charlotte'. Perfect drink to wash down all the goodness.

I had the pleasure of being invited to this restaurant for a review and it goes as below:
Themed Tiki, Big Kahuna is a place of wonder to enter into. It has beautiful sculptures all around and different sections so you can sit wherever you feel like depending on your mood. On the first floor you will get the feel of tiki wherein they have nicely divided it into the bar area, the dining area and the smoking area. Upstairs you will get to feel a Hawaiian vibe going on. They have nicely done the place with subtle lighting, plotted plants and enough space for people to just sit and relax and breathe. Music is just right helping to keep the vibe going.
In terms of food, you will get to experience different types of food again depending on your mood. You can eat from the wok, have the grilled dishes or happily munch away on the finger food. The bar finger food is what I preferred because it was definitely finger licking good. We had nachos for starters which were full of flavor. Very few places make good nachos and this place certainly qualifies for the honour. The bacon and chicken skewers which we had were really good - the bacon was nicely grilled. After that came the non veg platter. This had a variety of things which were mostly chicken. The wiki wiki wings and chicken sliders were nice and delicately leaves a saucy memorable taste on the palate. The crispy chicken was like proper fried chicken. The chipotle hummus could be much better though. My fav in the platter however were the aloha spring rolls. They were amazingly cheesy. And the best thing was the even after it got cold the taste and cheesiness was still there. It would be great if fish was included in the platter too though.
Coming to the mains, we stuck with grilled basa and grilled salmon. The grilled basa was delicious. The salmon though was a bit on the salty side. Had it been a little less salty it would have been perfect. Helpful portions were served for both. For desserts we had TBK snickers bar. Trust me, this dessert is extremely heavy and a lot of people can easily eat it. It is just like snickers with chocolate ganache on top. The ganache was perfect. I had two mocktails which were both nice, the sugar though was a little too much or not mixed properly I felt. The cocktail was nice and gives a nice punch. Pricing is decent for such heavy, filling and tasty food.
Overall, a wonderful place where you can go and chill and enjoy the bar munchies. I would recommend the top floor because the ambiance there is quite unlike what you get in the different places of Indiranagar.

to the Hawain beaches and standing next to the Tiki-land. Its hard for me to describe in words but you. will have to visit it to know more about it. . I had a splendid time visiting this place with couple of my. friends. Though it is relatively new in. Indranagar, I never felt the same about the service coz it was impeccable. This is one of those newly opened places in Indranagar, which sure will go ga-ga about. Just for the simple reason that its got something unique that no other place in Indranagar area has got. Basically I am talking about the finely made cocktails which not only makes your relish to the flavor but enjoy it in a Hawian theme décor. Infact, I felt myself being tele-transported to the Hawain beaches and standing next to the Tiki-land. Its hard for me to describe in words but you will have to visit it to know more about it. I had a splendid time visiting this place with couple of my friends. Though it is relatively new in Indranagar, I never felt the same about the service coz it was impeccable.
First Thoughts
This is one of those places in Bangalore, which I thought had something unique form the outside. Its got this big masked faces with the ‘Big Kahuna’ written with Tikis which kind of resemble the ‘Transformers’ symbols.
And then you wonder it might be an out and out party place. Well, it sure is but then its got something to offer for different set of people coming in to have a good time.
It is owned by JSM group, which actually owns – Shiros, Hardrock café, CPK kind of places in Bangalore. And this place happens to the 2nd of its kind in Bangalore. I think they sure did not want to wait until new year but they just wanted to launch it in Bangalore and set the street on fire.
This place is very new to indiranagar. Amazing ambience with its Hawaiian themed everything. Menu has some really good cocktails with some fancy Hawaiian cutlery. The fried chicken is really good served with finger licking sauce. We also tried the non veg platter which was good too. All in all, a great place to grab a couple of drinks on the rooftop. Could be a real crowd puller if it had a few offers.
Stopped by for a quick drink. The rum kick (for 2) crispy chicken (starter) and jerk chicken (mains) were all delish! I like that they have small and large portions to choose from.
