A good place for vegetarians to choose from Indian and Italian cuisines. Alacarta is to be preferred over buffet as it has more varieties of dishes than the buffet. Ambience was ok, a bit noisy but it's a great place with good interiors and cable car. Last but not the least the food was good too.
Lasagne was superb and so were the pastries.nice ambience and courteous staff
Nice place for a family dinner. Great selection of food items. Kids also can enjoy the varieties.
Cable car is a lovely restaurant in jayanagar which my friend had suggested to me. At the beginning of the month I got a chance to visit here and I was really happy with the overall experience which they created througb food, ambience and service.
Friendly staff , good food , nice ambience, music played is very entertaining, good varieties of desserts
The food and ambience is excellent. One of the decent restaurants providing an amazing veg buffet. The light soup was good start, followed by finger licking starters. Main course has rich spread of Chinese, Italian, north indian, and south indian dishes. The masala dosa is yum!
Had a great time with cousins. We celebrated a birthday as well.
Love the authenticity of the place. Food is as awesome as the people who serve here.. Best place for family and kids to hangout.
Amazing service. Vikas was so kind to serve chats and pastas at the table itself. Good spread as well. Would love to visit again
We visited cable car for a birthday party and the staff are so friendly and accomdating. Mr.Prashant was a gracious host . Tummy full yummy food! Will visit soon
It was very special at ambience as it's theme based restaurants, it has two cable car kinda cabins and can be seated with peace apart from that normal dining tables are available . Ambience is cool .There will be both buffet and dining. We are allowed celebrate by cake cutting. And the best part is that they don't use "tissues" which I loved it and service was very friendly.
Very fast service and good food
Pleasant ambient we had starters which was different from other restaurant food was delicious love to go again good place for family get together
Amazing place. Great ambience. Good service.
Very friendly service and very good ambience and interesting idea of ambience!! for a peaceful family lunch/dinner.!! The dishes very also good
Amazing place to chill with friends and family in the weekend ❤️
Must try veg kurkure, veg biryani, soups and pizza. Everything tastes superb. For any celebration, I would recommend this a lot. The menu they provide is also reasonable. You can give it a shot.
Nice ambience...superb food...bit pricy but worth the taste...one of the real good restaurants in that surrounding...staff were really friendly.
This place is around for almost 10 years I suppose and I had never thought of going here until one fine afternoon for lunch. The restaurant was packed but, fortunately we had reservations and got a table right away. Basically, this place is known for its affordable but delicious buffet. We started with the usuals, soup & salads. And then we had quite a few choices of starters. All very good. There are also live counters for chaats, pasta and Dosas. They were all nice too. The main course had three North Indian sides,Dal, with the usual rotis, kulchas. There was Veg Biryani with raita, Schezwan Noodles with lemon coriander sauce and a whole bunch of South Indian food like Rice, Rasam, Sabzi And curd rice. Everything was very yum. The Desserts section had very interesting spread, there were the usuals like Brownie, Mango Pastry some Bengali Sweets . But, what caught my attention was they had this sweet called Chandrahar which is really rare and mostly served in South Indian Weddings. It was really yummy. And last but not the least they had some nice choices of ice creams and we tried a scoop each of our favourite Dark Chocolate and Paan. Both were awesome. We really had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place.
The food was awesome and the items were more than 40.The variety of desserts were also good. The staff are really friendly.if we are for than 6 they give a seperate cable car.i recommend this place highly
We had been here for my husband birthday party, food is simply great, we enjoyed the food...the staffs were very friendly....the menu is simply superb.. totally worth for money..
Nice ambience,Good staff,Tasty food
As a family we had very good time. Thank you for your service and the food varieties were perfect. Must visit place again n again. Loved it !!!
You can only use cable car if you are 6+ people. Place is good.. you won't even realize that you just ate 70+ variation.. as count includes pickles & salad too
Delicious food and the atmosphere was very calming sadly couldn't sit in the cart 😭 but the good food made up for it. Higley recommend for a nice dine out.
We went here a few years ago for my sister's birthday, I still can't get over the experience, the food was so amazing, it's one of the finest restaurants I have been to till date.
It was indeed a nice place but better to have tables booked in advance before getting in. Has a very nice themed ambience with courteous staff.
A good buffet place to experience. The starters (especially the chinese & mangolian) were spot on. The main course was also decent. The ambiance (except for the car part) can however be improved.
Celebrated my kid's Birthday.. Nice ambience.. great service.. yummy food.. friendly staff.. Had an amazing time.. 👍👍 Special thanks to the Mr. Srikanth for the friendly guesture:)
A fantastic semi themed restaurant for a family get together! A pocket friendly place. Provides adequate variety of food for a buffet. Friendly staff.
Taste : 4/5
Ambience:3.5/5
Good place for veg buffet...soup, starter and desert was delicious...main course is ok ok..
Apart from food their interior is also very good.
I had visited this place a year ago with a huge group of friends and we had taken the buffet option. The variety was astounding and the food lip smacking. Plus the interior design is perfect for group pictures xD do visit
The restaurant had a good ambience. The staff were polite. But the place was empty in the peak hour of 8-8.30pm. Food was good and tasted well. Can visit once.
Delicious brunch last week with wonderful and speedy service. Paneer vegetable was good but the orange pastry made my and my wife super happy. Thanks for making our day great.
It's a lovely place to be... Pure veg, the buffet is yum n worth a visit! We had a wonderful experience... Great food, lovely desserts and courteous staff.
It is cable car themed restaurant.
They have specialist Indian and Italian chefs.
Some of the must haves:
Try the 4 live counters: charts, pasta & neer dosa are yummy (the live counters are only on weekends)
Starters: they serve one of the buffet starters in Bangalore (spinach spring rolls, sesame kimchi kababs)
Main course: kulcha, dal panchmela, one of the best!
Desserts: Anjeer halwa, butterscotch tarts were lips smacking
A good value for money as well...
Just a caution, try to book the tables in advance as the seats get filled quickly
Nice place. Decent staff. Provides valet parking.
Really well decorated and maintained it very well.
Nice option for a small get together or a family dinner.
Big crowd can be a little fuzzy
Located at heart of the city Jayanagar has very good ambience and equally good food and staff. This great combination made my day. Would love to revisit the place.
I booked this place for an evening dinner with my cousins. Booking experience was smooth with Zomato and a confirmation message was received promptly. We went there at sharp 7:00pm, we were politely asked to wait for a few minutes as buffet preparations were still going on. There were other people as well waiting for the buffet service to begin. At 7:15pm or so we could go to the restaurant and occupy our seats. We were offered a choice of soup, I preferred a cold margarita which was delightfully tasty and tangy. My cousin ordered one too for himself. Starters were served hot and crispy, the live pasta and chat counters were good. Overall an excellent dining experience wants me to visit this place often.
Good service and ambiance.
Food was tasty. Especially the moong dal halwa!!!
Location was good.
Valet parking was also available.
Not overcrowded.
Waiting time was also minimum.
Best for family outings even for elderly people..
Good starters, we ordered cheese corn cigar which was good. The biggest thing being, they could handle our Jain food request really well. The themed restaurant is perfect picture spot.
Loved the ambience! This particular dish, triple combo, which has soft noodles, fried noodles wit mixed rice and gravy, was heaven. Must try here- Broccoli cheese lollipops. Best part is pricing, pretty decent. Pocket friendly.
The staff are friendly, the ambience is great.I really liked the theme of the restaurant. The North Indian food and the pasta is good but they should definitely improve their lasagna, overall this place is great.
One of the best restaurant. Amazing service by ranganath. Great hospitality. I met one guy not sure about his name but I believe he is from north east and he could speak great KANNADA. I asked him how do u know kannada he said I am staying here and I love to speak in kannada. Hats off to u sir.
Good resto with SFO theme. One of the few high end resto serving veg food. Loved thr concept. Tried many of thr italian continental dishes , all were good.
Go to place for Vegans in Bengaluru!!
Dined at several locations in the city. Some good and some bad... Cable Car is absolutely the real deal. The menu is intriguing and the food is scrumptious, couldn’t ask for better. Try their Ratatouille Lasagna, a rustic, hearty vegetarian meal that will satisfy the biggest appetites.
In addition to a delicious meal, they provide a delightful service. I bet you won't be disappointed, your stomach will be happy and your wallet won't be completely empty...
Ambience - 3.5/5 Food - 4.5/5 Service - 4.5/5 VFM - 3/5 Parking - Yes, Valet
Cable Car is a San Fransisco themed vegetarian restaurant offering both a-la-carte and buffet. We went for the buffet on a lazt Sunday afternoon.
The decor is heavily themed San Fransisco though the Cable Car theme has reduced to just a couple of cabins. The other dining areas are a tad cramped. The seating, though, is comfortable.
The buffet has the entire gamut, soup, starters, live chaat counter, live pasta counter, live dosa counter, Chinese, Indian and South Indian main course, desserts, stone ice-cream counter ans fresh cut fruits
The buffet is well thought out, well prepared and surely worth savouring in leisure.
There were two soups, a palak shorba, that was not to my taste, and Tom Ka soup. This was without doubt one of the best renderings of this soup I've had, better than in specialist SE Asian restaurants. The coconut milk was fresh and bamboo shoots were tender, and overall it was perfectly spiced and served at just the right temperature.
For chaat we ordered pani poori, aloo tikki chaat, masala puri and palak chaat. All four were good, but none were outstanding.
Pasta had a choice of macaroni or penne, with white, red or pink sauces. We tried both the pastas in either of the three sauces. The cook here got his white sauce just right, but I didn't particularly like the red sauce.
Next we tried Neer dosa, which was served with chutney and sweet aval. Was way too thick for my liking.
There were 5 starters. Cajun Nuggets was a deep.fried potato nugget, quite tasty. A Chinese style vegetable was up next, which was quite average. The deep fried crispy baby corns were good. But the star was Sikandari Paneer tikka. The marinade and the light spicy sauce coating the ultra soft paneer gave it a heavenly taste. There was a subz vada too which was also nice.
For mains, i went with noodles and shezwan veggies. The noodles per se was subtle and very good, though the shezwan dish was overpowering. Skipped the north and south Indian mains and directly went on to curd rice and achar, which was perfectly made. Loved the fact they didnt sweeten it by adding pomogranates.
There was a wide variety of desserts to choose from. The ones that appealed to me were the strawberry cheesecake, lemon tart, cham cham and paan ice cream.
Overall I'd say its a pretty good buffet. Service was fast, waiters were polite. Keep up the good work!
This place has an excellent team and service. A very good spread in buffet and menu.
Nothing to complain about at all and excellent value for money. Best thing about the place is,
it offers a wider variety of cuisines while still remaining a pure vegetarian restaurant.
This is my second visit. Came with my family for lunch here. Great taste, friendly staff, prompt service, good variety of food. There are multiple live counters as well. There is valet parking available as well. Definitely a go to place.
We went for the Sunday buffet lunch here. Go early so that you get a good table and can have a relaxing meal. There is only a single cable car here and the decor doesn’t compliment the name. But otherwise the ambience is good and the service excellent. The waiters are very attentive and the service impeccable.
The buffet consists of a salad counter, live pasta counter, chaat, dosa counter, starters, main course, desserts, fresh fruits and live ice cream counter. There is a good variety and you can spend a good two hours here and enjoy the buffet.
The brinjal salad was a novelty and quite tasty. Paneer tikka, aloo nuggets, fried baby corn were some of the best starters here. The Tom Kha soup was an excellent preparation. The palak shorba was mild but good.
The Chinese noodles were good but the veg schezwan sauce was average. The main course was average but the veg pulao was good. Curd rice and lemon pickle is a must try.
Desserts were delicious. Special mention of the lemon tart and suryakala is to be made. The other good desserts were moong dal halwa, gulab jamun, assorted brownies and champakali. Top it off with fresh fruits lol watermelon and muskmelon. Lastly the stone rolled vanilla chocolate and paan ice cream were a steal. Enjoy this fabulous buffet on a lazy Sunday.
A very good place with friendly staff and great food. One of the best places for having buffet. The food quality is very good along with many varieties.
Wonderful place! Great food and ambience. If you're looking for a great luch with vegetarian options, this is the perfect place in South Bengaluru! Must try :)
It was a great experience at Cable Car. We went on a Sunday & opted for the buffet. The spread was good, the salads & chaats in particular were very good. The dessert was good too.
One feedback that I would like to share is for Cable car to separate the ice cream scoops from the live ice cream counter. This was causing a jam, people who would be interested in only the scoops could have opted for it and not to wait in the queue for the same.
Delicious food. I must say, "More" than enough number of starters. Chats and Pasta live counters are available.
Lots of Desserts were there and it was tasty too. And coming to the ambiance, the place is amazing.
We were seated inside the car and my parents felt it was unique and good. The servers greeted and served with smile.
And specially "Mr. Ranganath", he greeted us well and took our feedback about the food and the place.
Overall a great place for vegetarians.
My family and I recently visited Cable Car for their vegetarian buffet, and our experience was decent, but not extraordinary. The buffet offered a variety of dishes, making it a suitable place for a family outing. However, there was nothing particularly remarkable about the food.
In my opinion, the à la carte menu at Cable Car surpasses the buffet in terms of quality and flavor. If you're looking for a more satisfying dining experience, I would recommend exploring their à la carte options instead. While the buffet is a decent choice for a one-time visit, it didn't leave a lasting impression.
It's one of best veg buffet restaurant. Chose this place for team lunch and everyone loved it.
Beetroot kebab and neer dosa and palak chat was mouth watering. If cakes as desserts can be replaced with healthy laddus made of jaggery would be nice. Service providers were very humble.

Had been here for lunch. I chose a la carte. The food was good. The starters such as paneer was filling. The main course was also good. The desserts have small spread however it was good. The ambience is pleasant and the staffs are kind . There is valet parking available.
Cable Car themed table is at the ground floor. Buffet is available in Bangalore 5th floor. Buffet has 6 to 7 starters, live dosa, pasta and chat counters. Main meal has biriyani, Lemon rice, bisibele bath, rasam, papad, curd rice , veg salad, roti, Kulcha, Nan and a couple of north Indian side dishes. Dessert has 4 types of ice cream, 4 to 5 sweets, 4 to 5 cakes and fruits. Overall decent place for veg buffet. Paid (cost) 670+tax on Saturday.
Plenty of options for sure anything and everything vegetarian. Very kind and quick service. The not 5 stars is because of the taste of the food. It’s good but not excellent. We went to the buffet to maximize on the chats consumption. Masala puri was ok but the pani puri was disappointing. There were good desserts. They offer watermelon and pineapple fresh fruit juice. They don’t offer coffee for lunch. We were there on a Monday afternoon so it was not crowded and very pleasant. The experience of sitting in a cable car and eating is fun :)
A year later: they have Asian/Chinese/Italian/Indian A la carte. Whatever you order it’s just excellent.
Cable Car offers a unique blend of San Francisco ambiance coupled with Italian and Indian vegetarian dishes. The starters are commendable, and diners have the option of both à la carte Italian and a buffet. The venue thoughtfully integrates elements from San Francisco, most notably with its cable car seating cubicle. With a nod to diverse palates, the restaurant also serves Indo-Chinese and traditional Indian dishes. For those looking for a quiet dining experience with a distinct theme, Cable Car is worth considering.
Great place for veg buffet. Veg starters are better here. Desserts options are also good. Ambience was top notch.
Valet parking available.
We visited cable car in the weekdays around 9:15pm and it was completely empty ,and it had good ambience, fast service and gets your food on time , they also provide valet parking facilities without any extra charge and they add 5% extra service charge
The starters, chats and desserts are amazing... They can try and improve the main course. They have dedicated dosa counters, pasta counters etc... Excellent service and good ambience. Chats are good and so are the starters. Starters and soup will be served at the table. The remaining you can collect over the counters. Suggested them to offer small spoons for having the desserts rather than the large ones.
Fun place themed in San Francisco with cable cars to dine in. Good Thai food and fantastic service.
Having been to a lot of buffet places before, Cable car was slightly disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the taste was good but not excellent. The spread was less as opposed to other places. Starters were good. Unfortunately, we did not find tomato soup. The waiters were kind. But, for 677 on a weekend, it seemed a bit much. Valet parking is available.
Best restaurant for vegetarians. They have both Ala carta and Buffet spread. Spread is very good. Service is very fast. Tasty food. Great Ambience. Both Card and UPi payments option available. With Wallet parking
Pure vegetarian: ✅
Mangalore specials: ✅
Multi cuisine: ✅
Don't be surprised if you have to wait for your turn
Recomend booking beforehand
So, I have been searching pure vegetarian restaurants, this fits the equations
If you want to experiance the cabin car, then would recomend booking early and go with 6 members
Pre-requisite:
1. Recomend to book seat in advanced if you need the cable car or a seat
2. If you want to experiance a better hospitality, come here by 7pm
Pros:
1. Good food, food time,
2. Availability of muti-cuisine, is a plus and they do justice to each flavour
3. Buffet available on the 3rd floor, you can try that as well
4. They manage the crowd well
Cons:
1. With great power comes great responsibilities, similarly with great tastes, comes with a great crowd, hence managing it is a challenge
2. Parking is a challenge as this is in the main road
3. Odd numbered pax, difficulty to accomodate as the place feels congested, you can get seat but need to wait as they cannot accomodate 5 people in a 4 & 4 configaration
Absolutely fantastic! The spread though not lavish, is still generous. The best part, you get even south Indian cuisine in the evening. What's more you also have a choice of Jain gravy (no onion & no garlic). And just because they don't add these, it doesn't mean that they compromise on taste. Every item is simply out of the world!
They don't charge anything for kids below 6 years. Great place to come with your family.
One of the best vegetarian buffet experiences in this area! Excellent spread of dishes, each one better than the other.. A good dozen of starters, more than a dozen desserts, main course, live chaat / pasta / dosa counters with each having atleast 5 different varieties.. One should go with a good appetite to enjoy the fullest. We skipped some main course items and dived deep into starters and desserts. Worth the cost!
I'm in love with this place. We reserved a table inside the cable car, which was available. We came here for dinner on a weekday. The buffet was 550 per person, tax included. Our family appreciated the cuisine as well as the atmosphere. The staff's hospitality was excellent. I highly recommend this place for a family dining.
