Went for a Sunday Afternoon Buffet with cousins and family today.
The food:
They had Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisine to choose from. The soup was simple good. In the starters, we could choose Papadi Paneer, Sweet Chilli Okra, Hara Bhara Kebab to name a few. In the main course there was Dal Panchtantra and Paneer Makhani (my favourite) with rice and roti. For the Chinese cuisine we could have Veg. Shezwan Noodles with a vegetable gravy. For the Italian Cuisine they had pasta in White sause. We could also have Rasam with Rice and Palya. Coming to the desserts they had Chocolate Ice Cream, Shahi Tukada, Chocolate cake with Coconut coating, Rasgulla and Payasam. To end it there was also Pani Puri and Dahi Puri you could have.
Staff, they were very nice and courteous. Nothing else to mention here.
Ambience was nice and had no issues with the temperature and cleanliness.
Overall it was a good experience!
I personally felt very delighted with the ambiance and the service of the restaurant. The food was excellent with having different varieties to eat.

This is my second visit to the hotel and it's worth it. Variety of starters and main course will keep you happy!!
The pasta with red sauce was the best dish. Vegetable gravy was yummy. Roti and kulcha was very good. Service was top notch.
Desserts were average. Not for people who look for variety (which is hard to get at this price point for veg buffet)
Another downside - a house fly was busy eating fruits custard. However it doesn't stop me from going back there with a bigger gang!!

This is a pure veg restaurant located inside the Chevron Hotel opposite the police commissioners office on Infantry Road.
The review I am writing is based on the lunch buffet which is moderately priced and items they provide are decent in number. They have a chaat counter, about 3 salads, 4 starters, a soup, 3 gravy items, flavored rice and noodles. They also have South Indian items like white rice, rasam and curd rice. To finish it all, they have 3-4 different desserts which includes ice cream. The puris they use for dahi puri, paani puri etc are extremely crisp.
For the price you are paying, the quality of the food is good and the service as well is commendable.
The ambience is just fine and feel that it can be improved by making the place slightly more brighter.
Since, the crowd mainly consists of families and relatively senior individuals, making arrangements for a wheelchair and a ramp will be useful. Have to also seen corporates come in large groups for a team lunch.
If you keep your expectations simple, this place won't disappoint you!
Visited mint masala for breakfast buffet on a sunday. Options included masala ottpam, masala dosa, lemon rice, poori bhaji, medu vada, idli, baked beans, baked vegetables, juice, bread, coffee, tea. All this at a very reasonable price of Rs 199 (inclusive of taxes). Taste is reasonably good. Ambience is nice, parking is available, all staff members are very courteous right from the parking attendant, restaurant manager, and staff responsible for serving the food. Overall a great experience. Would highly recommend.

Visited this place for lunch with my boss and colleague. The restaurant is situated on infantry road opposite to Police commissioner office.
PARKING: The restaurant has valet parking.
AMBIENCE: The restaurant is situated on the ground floor of the building and is spacious. The Ambience in general is good.
FOOD: Its a Veg restaurant.They have al a carte as well as buffet spread. We opted for buffet.
SOUP: soup was served on the table and the soup for the day was spinach soup which was ok.
WELCOME DRINK: Not sure which juice it was but tasted like papaya and was good.
CHATS: They had varieties of chats but we didn't try any.
STARTER: For starters they had Onion pakora, Honey Chilly potato, curd vada, fried cauliflower and baby corn. Starters on a whole were good but Honey Chilly potatoes was exceptionally good.
SALAD: For salad they had Mix Green salad, Corn salad, Toasted tomatoes and pineapple and pasta salad.
MAIN COURSE: For mains they had varieties of Roti like Tandoori Roti, Butter Roti and kulcha which was served on the table. Paneer masala, Dal makhani, Veg fried rice, Veg noodles, a Chinese Veg sauce, the name which I don't remember, steam rice, rasam and curd rice.
DESSERT: For desserts they had a Pastry, strawberry ice cream, custard, cut fruits, Gulab jamun and carrot halwa.
Food on the whole was satisfactory.
SERVICE & COST: Service was quick. The staff was attentive and humble. Buffet lunch for three costed around 1100, which I felt was reasonable.

Main course and salads are very delicious. A wide range. The desserts do not disappoint at all. A wide range replete with ice cream, mousse, halwa among many others. They can change the menu to increase repeat visits.
Most importantly, service is brilliant. On my parents' anniversary, I requested if they could arrange a cake. They immediately arranged for a beautiful cake, my parents were thrilled. In total, it's probably the best place for veg only buffet...
Good in taste, best in price (for buffet) and especially it's a VEGGIES' resto. Service is also good. But little difficult to find it out. You need to search in the Google maps and reach this out (But you feel its worth of searching).

I dropped in to Mint Masala on a whim. I surprisingly found parking inside. The soup was OK and was a bit dilute for my taste. The lunch buffet seemed value for money. I started off with salads which were tasty and onion pakoras which were good. There was a Gobi dish which was OK. Then I tried the pasta and veg noodles and found them to be filling. The veg curries were quite good and the dessert was quite filling. I plan to visit again!
A value for money all veg buffet spread. As it is a VFM fare, expect a lot of crowd.
This is a place where there is something for everyone. Kids will love their mild Hakka noodles and pasta. Spice lovers will have a dish or two that is pretty spicy. People who want mild food will have porrial or stew.

Went for the lunch buffet on Wednesday 09.09.2015 with my boss. The food was delicious and full of variety. There was north indian, chinese and south indian cusine. The ambience was good and the staff was welcoming. Though it was self -service however, the staff was willing to serve. Dessert was awsome with more than seven types available ranging from ice-cream, cake, sweet-meat,gulab-jamun,halwa,custard. Dahi papdi and dahi-bhalla were also there for starters.
In all a definate recommendation for next visit.
We visited here this afternoon for a quick lunch. Had Paneer Dhingri Masala, Butter Naan and Vegetable Naan. The taste was above average, although the mutter could have been cooked a wee bit more. The Naan tasted quite fine. Service was excellent. Will try the buffet and revise my rating.
It's such a pity that this place has such a bad rating. It deserves way more than this. We went for a lunch buffet here and it really is a steal for 375 bucks. The manager and staff are very good. They're kind and pay attention and refill water and take away your plates in good time. Even while taking orders they're very polite and friendly in doing so.
Coming to the food, I was surprised at how everything on the buffet was great. I mean, there's a lot of variety and all of the food tastes great. I didn't like the souffle but that's about it, really. The pasta was good, but I wouldn't say great. The starters will make your day. Following the starters is an equally delicious main course, and a good assortment of desserts.
The ambiance is good too. Nothing too fancy, but enough to give a good look to the place. Even the washroom is very hygienic and clean.

Sumptuous veg buffets to feast on at this pure veg restaurant. I love the way they make kesar bhaat... Sheera in other word. Have eaten multiple times. One suggestion is to change the buffet menu periodically as I used to dine here often and it use to get quite monotonous spread.

I went to this restaurant with my family. They have a very good multi cushion buffet lunch it is really value for money. I like the North Indian & tandoori I will recommend for all my friends.

Buffet spread is average but the starters and tasty. None of the items seemed old which is a big plus. Menu is mostly along expected lines (starters, soup, salad, sabji, bread, rice and ice cream) and spread isn't great.
Ambience is good and soft music of popular Bollywood numbers plays at the back.
Staff is attentive and refill for the buffet is quick
Ample parking available since this is located on a rush road.

VERDICT: if you're looking for a pure veg buffet or a lunch party (family, friends or colleagues) around this area this place would work for you. However the a-la-carte at their other branch in Sadashivnagar nagar was impressive so I would probably want to give it a shot here before giving the final say for this place.

Went in for the Dinner buffet on a weekday. Wasn't fully satisfied after coming out. Good variety of starters which were a Veg Kabab and a Baby Corn Stir Fry. Some good salads as well.
However main course was a bit of a disappointment. They were very mediocre dishes and weren't worth their salt. The Chinese dishes were plain bland and Sambar and Rasam were so watery and tasteless. Desserts were passable and didn't really leave a great impression since I want to end every meal on a good note with a wonderful dessert.
Hope these guys come back with some better food.

Been here a couple of times, and had buffet both instances. The food is just okay. The starters were good and had a wide range too. But both times I ended up filling myself with starters alone as the main course was quite mediocre. It's one of those classic hotels, but just that this is rather expensive when compared to them. The ambience though was warm, and hence you'll find a lot of families walking in. Lots of parking at the front and behind the hotel.
One of those places where you get only veg food. I found this place to be surprisingly good. I loved their dishes as well as their service and their pricing. Reasonably priced restaurant.

I have been to the Sadashiv Nagar branch twice and had really liked the food there. This was the first buffet restaurant that I had visited in Bangalore. I was overwhelmed by the concept. Since Sadashiv Nagar branch wasn't serving weekend buffets, we went to this Infantry road branch on a Saturday night.
The ambiance is bit dull when compared to the other branch. There is not much space. It can accommodate around 60-70 guests(or should I say foodies?) at a time. Its better to reserve your seats on weekends.
When it comes to food, the soup was alright. A one time try. We had paneer, a tikki and veg pakoras for starters. Tikki was good. Pakoras were not upto the mark. I liked the salads. The betroot salad was unique. The main course roti and its along side curries were above average. But it was the desserts that on my hearts. Crispy honey noodles was really good. Tender coconut payasam was awesome. But too bad they ran out of it and of course the perfect Chocolate ice cream. I am a bit partial when it comes to Chocolate ice cream. i rate buffet high when they serve me chocolate icecream.
The only disappointing thing was service. They let guests in even after 10pm and were waiting for us to empty the table. Not a good sight at all. We were taking it slow, but the stare from the staff was not comforting.
Overall its a good vegetarian experience. But now with so many awesome concept buffet in place, Mint Masala has to face a stiff competition.

Masala is a pure vegetarian restaurant. The food spread is combination of both North and South Indian delicalies. Starters like mirchi bajji with cauliflower grill was excellent. I've been here for breakfast which I accidentally walked in for my morning coffee. For the price of Rs.199, you get an entire breakfast buffet (More or less to a standard of a premium hotel) the food and the variety is unbelievable. Honestly, I've paid more for a cup of coffee at other places! l have to say, this is by far one of the best places to eat on budget in Bangalore for breakfast. Do keep in mind, this is a Vegetarian restaurant

I had lunch buffet at this restaurant. The food quality and variety was nice. The restaurant has its own parking space and valet parking. Under the dining tables as guests leave it should be cleaned, but I didn't see that here.
