Where else you’ll get one perfect South Indian veg meal.., no doubt it’s MTR😋😍👌not only the meals breakfast is also my all time favourite. Must visit place it’s just awesome 🤤
I can eat bisibele bath forever I guess that's excatly how much I love them ! The perfect spice the perfect essence the perfect what not ! Drooling everytime each plate comes in front of me love the way they give a small cute little cup of ghee and also raita Mann just love the way they present it !! Mtr bisibele will surely remain my forever love no matter what comes and goes u LL have my heart and I will choose over anything 🤤🤤🤤
I'm not really fond of their Masala Dosa but they serve the best Sambhar I've ever had, by far.
All time favourite.. Love those tiny cute cup of ghee they give with everything you order.. Bisibelebath and ghee.. Dosa crispy and yummy.... This is the right lace for hot jamoon and Rava idly .. Service was pretty quick Overall 8.5/10
Such an amazing experience! The food was delicious! So many different tastes - it’s easy to see why this is such a loved institution in Bangalore. Definitely worth the visit!
Needless to say amazing dosa
Visit details : Dinner at 8.30 pm on a weekday
Positives : Bissebelle bhat (loved it) and a complete meal in itself. The south indian thali was good as well.
Negatives : Nothing really, parking is an issue in that area and not that the restaurant is helping in any way.
Overall : If someone is visiting Bangalore I would definitely recommend this place for an authentic meal.
One of the best masala dosa i ever had in my life time the taste was so good i just loved the taste mtr is the best 😍😍😍😍😍😘😍😍😍😍😘😘😘
The place was filled with people who love food and we (group of four) waited for a couple of minutes before we could grab ourselves a table. Staff were humble enough and bisibele bath with raita is something new that tasted quite good. Coming to masala done, the presentation was excellent though it is not the best that I have had.
Dining at the legendary mtr Malleshwaram is more of an experience rather than just eating food. Thought the food prices were not that expensive, coffee for sure felt a bit overpriced.
They serve the best dosas in the world
But wasn't impressed with the thatte Idli, have had some better ones in Mumbai and Pune
I tried
Masala dosa
Thatte Idli
Filter coffee
Only hygienic breakfast joint in Malleswaram with similar taste of Lal Bagh road outlet. All break fast dishes taste yum and is neatly served. Safe place to take a toddler and provide them the food without having the fear of getting any stomach infection due to the food. Fruit salad is a let down.
I had masala dosa once here and it's been a year but still i didn't get the taste like that anywhere
The taste was amazing and i believe it is still amazing i can't explain the happiness when i tool the first bite of that dosa.amazing food
Good place for a feast on weekends. They have only Thali Lunch on Saturday & Sunday. In sweets Badam halwa is a must try. BBB and Rice with Sambar is a must try as well.
Mavalli Tiffin Room in malleshwaram is one among the cleanest restaurant. Onion Dosa is a must try there. Rava idly and coffee is good too. You can visit there for good south Indian food.
No introduction needed! Good that this legendary hotel opened in Malleshwaram! We all used to go to lalbagh only for this restaurant! 😬
But I feel, this place lacks the MTR taste a bit!
Dosa, Rava idli Jamoon and coffee are must try.
Sweet I have tried Badam halwa and barfi both are okay Okies.
Upma and Meals is good again not like MTR original! 😋😋 Its a great place to have and enjoy! Legendary food in Malleshwaram

A legacy which I felt was a little overhyped per the servings. We have had vada, dose, the badam halwa, the khara bath. The best of the lot was badam halwa. Given the price, I feel a lot of other competitive stuff around to explore.
Though the quality is not compromised. The dose had oodles of ghee. The badam halwa was just too good. The khara bath was decent as well
The right place to have authentic South Indian meals and excellent dosas. The bissebille rice, kosambri and curd rice are too good here. The meals are bit heavy but very satisfying.
Peaceful ambience
Nice decor
Not one of the bests in malleshwaram but will met your expectations for perfect south indian food .
Nominial waiting time and polite staff.
Recommend ;)
The best traditional South Indian I have ever had with the fineness. Dosa, khara bath and Kesari bath were all sautéed in ghee(clarified butter).
I've been often and the best food I like here is their bisi bele Bath. Truly out of the world. Sooo yummmm with the ghee smeared and raitha in the sides.
I also have tried the special thali . Love everything in it. I like the dessert, fruit and ice-cream ( I don know what it's called ) but love it.
Thali is also great. Love everything in the thali. The palya, the poori, rice, rasam.
I've also had the masala dosa. Liked it too. Crispy and tasty!
Highly recommended! Go when u r really hungry :)
Ordered rice idly, masala dosa and butter milk. They were superb. The ghee that they serve in a tiny container on idly or dosa is like the cherry on top of the cake.
Best place for breakfast..i ordered for mini tiffin combo which had one idli ,dosa, kharabath, kesaribath and one vada with sambar and chutney..it was really tasty and good. I think it's better to try out the combo wherein u can taste evrytg together..
The elixir! That was a hectic day and I was damn tired too, for me a strong filter coffee is the energy booster any time, headed towards MTR which is the closest place to office serving good coffee, came out refreshed!
Visited first time and got the seat without waiting as it's weekday . Ordered full meal and it's started with grape juice .tried first time it was topgallant and the curries also tastier, taste of the food is more acceptable to the north kannadigas .. lit bit expenses compare to the others ..
Went there at Saturday evening and I fell in love with South Indian dishes all over again.
The place is well maintained, hygienic and with an overall black-and-red theme decor.
We ordered:
•Neer dosa
•Masala dosa
•Filter coffee
And all of them were good in quality as well as quantity.
Totally going back there when we get the chance.
The food here is exceptional. If you are looking for authentic South Indian fare look no further. If you are looking for cool ambience this is not the place.
The place is bit crowded since it's famous
There is no valet parking here
The food is tasty
Dosa is amazing here but the only drawback in the dosa is that they put green chutney inside it , quite wired other than this overall food and coffee is best
After paying the bill and waiting for food for 30mins in a service hall was the first of its experience. Ordered full meals which had all the following items: Grape juice
Green chutney
Poori
Vegetable kurma
Kosambari salad
Beans starter
Masala dosa
Bisibele bath
Sambar rice
Rasam rice
Curd rice
Bajji
Papad
Pickle
Kheer.
The service was amazing, we had unlimited refills of any of the above food served. The taste one side had up and down. Majority of the food was top notch. Want to fill your tummy for a variety South Indian lunch this is the place to go. All this came at a very affordable price.
MTR has always been a favourite. This was the first time visiting this outlet and it lived up to their standards. Luckily we made it in time before the crowds rolled in and led to a waiting line outside the restaurant. We had the mini thalis and it was amazing. Also had their signature fruit salad with icecream which was great except for the unexpected change they’ve introduced - adding a layer of red colour jelly. It was hard and unappetising and almost ruined the dessert. After fishing out the jelly it was great.
Great location
Good pricing
Neat hand wash and toilets
Clean place for a family lunch/dinner
Authentic taste
Avg price 290 for 2 mini thali
Must visit in Bangalore
I have been told this is the best place to taste food from Karnataka
Visited this place for a breakfast after being unable to wait for our turn at CTR, and ordered oil free masala Dosa and ragi Dosa. I must say that these are the best masala and Ragi dosas that I ever had. I will definitely come again for Ragi dosas :).

MTR is one if the iconic places and a must visit places of Bangalore. Situated on the main street of Malleshwaram, it has long queues to be witnessed esp during breakfast times.
Hygiene is kept noticed and well maintained.
*Food*
A must try is their dosas of course. Everything here comes with a dollop of ghee on side.
🔹Bisibele Bath - recommended
This one is a must order if you are new to the South Indian cuisine. The perfect gravy of masala and rice along with ghee.
🔹Masala Dosa - recommended
The perfect crisp thick Dosa with delicious chutney. Literally salivating while writing this.
🔹Rava Idli
The Idlis are great yet the dosas take a first turn in choice.
🔹Chow Chow Bath - recommended
Literally the best combo of Upma and kesaribath. The sweet kesaribath just melts your mouth.
Everything goes well with the filterkaapi and buttermilk.
Tasty food, speedy servcie., Value for money!
Mavalli tiffin room, is a tiffin and meals place. The ambience is not very plush, but decent enough, place is crowded .
Ordered their poori masala- Pooris were hot and very fluffy. Doesn't have much oil to it , and this was a good part. Masala dosa served with small wati of aromatic tasty ghee .
Bisibelebath served in right portion also with ghee and raita was delicious too.
Overall amazing place to grab a quick bite without a big scratch on your pocket.
Their ghee served was the highlight for me. It added to the taste of their food.
Excellent idli, dosa and vada. This place has a reputation and standard. Love the consistency of the food. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is craving south indian breakfast.
This place is located 100 meters from mantri mall.. i had been there in the morning for breakfast, I ordered khara bath first then vada than masala dosa i must say the vada was very hot and crispy and i liked the taste of khara bath and masala dosa as well at last I ordered a cup of fresh filter coffee the best part about the coffee is chikori is less added to it. So a must visit hotel
One of the legendary restaurants that still reminds the authentic feel and the taste of the Bangalore. Have visited many times to this restaurant at various branches. Malleshwaram branch is quite spacious and neat ambience. Had visited this place post lunch at early evening times for tiffin items and we were not disappointed at all. Had ordered a lot of items right and we were for a treat.
Rava idly was soft and nice. Neer dosa was on the sweeter side and it was tasting different as I was trying it for the first time. Bisibele bath had the authentic Karnataka touch and along with raitha was something special. Curd vada was so delicious with curd very thick and was so filling and content with boondhi toppings. Prices were on the reasonable side and it was such a satisfying outing.
Nice taste... Bhele bhat was next to the best I have had. Clean and comfortable sitting.. Overall quite a good place if you like south indian cuisine.
One of the best breakfast places in malleswrm! The best part is their seating capacity unlike other places in dosa places in malleswrm. An iconic and super easily locatable place.
Everything on the menu is so good, do try the maslaa dosa, idli and bisibelebath ..they are my personal favorites.
Apart from breakfast, they also have a special meals menu which is so tasty and Soo filling, one can't just finish tasting all the dishes in a single seating. Yet so satisfying. Do try the lunch on sundays, they have a special menu.
Also, not to forget the chandrahara, sweet that this branch serves only on Sundays. It's really good and creamy.
It does justice to the name it has in town...the food...cleanliness everything is good...the service is average ....the food came on time but our tea coffee took longer than expected...overall the experience was good..will visit and recommend.
MASALA DOSA WITH GHEE 🤤
I'm a crazy Masala Dosa lover, I can have it anytime, anywhere.
Given the popularity of MTR for South Indian breakfast, of course I tried it.
I'm not saying it's the Best dosa I ever had, but it's good. And it's a bit OVERPRICED.
I love the fact that they put ghee in anything and everything.
It's one of the best place to have breakfast. We have Masala Dosa and Chow Chow Baath and it makes you order one more. It has waiting of 15-20min on weekend , but service is quick. So worry and enjoy your morning.
I had one day in Bangalore . Wanted to try some local cuisine . Couldn't have tried a better place which served local cuisine with hygiene ambience and pocket friendly rates . Must visit !
MTR needs no review. It has been and will be the one of the best southern Indian places to eat. The thali served during lunch is a must try. At Rs 250 it is steal day!
MTR has maintained its authentic taste ever since. Highly recommend this place.

My rating is 3.5: Taste - 3.5/5, Service - 4/5, Ambience - 4/5, Value for money - 2.5/5. I wanted to rate 3.5, 4 is high and 3 is low.
MTR is a legend, brand and with enviable history. I am big fan of MTR chains and its products. I love these places which has long history and continue to defy modern Indian food. This was my first time to this outlet at Malleshwaram, I have frequented all other outlets multiple times. Even visited MTR at Singapore. Giving this background, just to let readers know that I am expert enough to review MTR foods. Malleshwaram itself is cradle for many other legendary restaurants, especially known for south Indian vegetarian restaurants. Let me talk about the experience with this outlet. I went to this place with my Dad and we ordered masala dosa, idli vada, kharabath and coffee
Masala dosa - 3.5/5, Masala dosa is served layered with MTR's trademark green chutney, stuffed with aloo playa along with sambar, chutney and tiny cup of ghee. We are supposed to pour the ghee over dosa and then dig into the lip smacking mouthwatering dosa. Dosa was good but not comparable to CTR / vidyarthi bhavan / Samrat Restaurant / Ganesh darshan. I guess dosa fans who chase for world famous dosa around Bengaluru would understand what I am talking about. Chutney and sambar tasted average. I felt the Masala dosa at basavagudi outlet on lalbagh road is far better. Nevertheless, MTR’s masala dosa is still holding fort with so much competition right from thindi beedi to so many eateries springing around
Idli Vada – 3.5/5,
Two Idlis and vada served with 2 bowls of sambar, chutney and tiny winy cup of ghee. Idlis were fluffy and superb. Vada was ok, but not crispy enough.
Kharabath – 5/5, MTR’s kharabath is my all-time favorite. It is served with slice of tomato and chutney. It has slice of carrots. But quality v/s price is letdown. Even the MTR’s ready to eat kharabath almost tastes same. Whenever I travel aboard, ready to eat kharabath is an item on my mandatory list.
Coffee – 2.5/4, Coffee was a big letdown for me and it was below average. I am going to ignore this for the overall rating for now, since I definitely had better coffees at MTR in the past
Service – 4/5, Service is quick and prompt. I went around 8:30am and it was almost empty with few customers. At this time, you will not be able to step into CTR, Vidyarthi bhavan or even the MTR on lalbagh road. I guess reason could the high prices. When you get same items at the half the price at other legendary places people might be giving it a pass.
Ambience – 4/5, I like the simple décor of MTR, walls adorn some history about of MTR.
Value for money - 2.5/5, Will cost you a bomb almost double the price of items you would normally get at other places. When I say other places, I am referring to other legendary outlets in Malleshwaram area. Here at MTR Masala dosa costs Rs. 86/-, One Idli is Rs. 28.5, One Vada is Rs. 42/-, Kharabhath is Rs. 57/- and coffee is Rs. 32/-. Guess common man cannot have breakfast at MTR every day, maybe once or twice in a week. One dosa and coffee would cost you Rs. 108/- that is like luxury for us.
My parents a big fan of south Indian food , Mtr the the perfect stop for them.
They server unlimited thali for just 260 Rs which includes Juice kosambari paiya poori& sagu dosa rice papad rasam sambhar bisibale bath rasam sweets.
Total worth the money and experience a must visit if you come to bangalore
Feeling of luxurious breakfast, with great ambience , colourful interiors and authentic taste of the food !! Should try the dosas next !! The waiters were graceful and attended well!
Bisibelabath is a mouth watering dish and famous in MTR.
Want to try/taste Bisibelabath? 7Am to 10Am is the best time visit, you will be served freshly.
Serves the best and authentic Karnataka cuisine!
Try the meals, they are the best
Serves the best bisibele bath, sagu, badam halwa, majjige huli.
The only thing Iv disliked so far is the payasa( it sucks)
The best part is u won’t feel heavy after eating their meals as they only use quality ingredients, I feel just like Iv had home food. Iv not felt this in many places.

The place is very close to my house and has been one of my favourite for breakfasts and evening tiffin's.. The place is on the main road , few blocks from mantri mall. They have only indoor seating and ambience is decent. The wall poster hanging in every corner talks about the history and facts of MTR. They have variety of dosas and idly. The must try food is their Rava idly. It's perfectly cooked and served with MTR ghee. They even have south India thail for lunch nd dinner. The taste of rasam just lingers in your mouth for long time and is irresistible. They even have wide range of desserts . My favorite is Badam Halwa. I bet you will not stop ordering for it once u start..
Today MTR served me the favorite of every south Indian Masala Dosa.😁 It was very light for stomach and very tasty. It tasted like home made dosa. I could easily have 1 more dosa. Looks like they have not added any kind of tastemakers, dalda and the oil was less.
Dosa was served with sambar, coriander chutney, potato bhaji and a small bowl of ghee.
Perfect place for people on diet.
Ambience is good.
Food is tasty and healthy.
Crowd is decent.
Service is quick.
Clean and hygenic.
Overall good experience.
Love them! I always go for dosas and filter coffees and i am never disappointed. The food is always on point. Also i would suggest the rawa dosa as well.
The legendary food joint in Bangalore. Got the opportunity to have breakfast today for the first time...
Ambiance is ok... Can't compare with any sophisticated highly priced restaurants around in the city. People love to come here for their quality of foods only.
Very neat and clean... Ordered masala dosa. Good, tasty, crispy, well cooked... Sambar was very tasty...
Then badam halwa... Great taste... Made of pure ghee, heavy... I loved it...
Filter coffee as usual...
Thanks for the lovely experience...
MTR can never disappoint. Do try their grape juice - it's freshly made and tastes delicious The mini breakfast which includes a small portion of idli, vada, dosa, rice bhath, kesari with chutney and sambhar.
The American ice cream is one of a kind - you won't find this flavour anywhere.
#southindian #foodporn #timesofgoodfood #southiefood
Simply love MTR . As always their dosa's are top. Been there on a weekend evening with friends loved the atmosphere and benne masala dosa was amazing. Very hygienic and service was quick .
A special meal that will make your heart and tummy happy. Special meal costs 260 per person (inclusive of tax).
Grape juice-was freah, completely natural and thick.
Sprouts salad, poori, masala dosa with chutney, curry, beans subzi, vada, shavige bath, bisibele bath, sambar, rasam, curd rice, dhal payasam, beeda, gulab jamun and to end the scrumptious meal you have fruits salad with ice-cream. Its unlimited and no sharing.
Very well maintained restaurant, hygienic and Ambience is good.

Suggestion- if you are visiting MTR for the first time special meal is a must! But, if you don't have a huge appetite stick with mini meals.
I am not a huge South Indian food fan but yes, there are few of the delicacies that are more often prepared in my home, so I decided to hop in to MTR to try them in authentic Karnataka style.
We ordered Rawa Idli and yes that won my heart at the first as I never had such great taste even when we make at home, so their tradition is to serve almost everything with Ghee on Top and that makes Taste more perfect and balanced when you eat with Sambar. Truly their Sambas is again a winner as I normally avoid having Idly and Dosa at home as I am not to fond for Rice items but here, their Dosa, Rawa Idly and Steamed Idly were Ek Dum Perfect.
Bisibella Bhath, was much better compared to my Home style ( Let's hope my wife don't read this ) as normally at home we don't use Ghee on top but we use Boondi and Chips. But this one was truly good. Always go for their Badam Halwa, I found that so interesting that what exactly it taste like and when I ordered that, it was fantastic. And of course - No Meal in Bengaluru is complete without their Filter Coffee. So.. MTR next time when I am there again.
Value for money.
Food is authentic south indian and taste awesome. Has all the ingredients for full fledge meal except a banana. Bisbelebath, puri and ghee with holige was best.
I tried their Special Meal and i was impressed. Food is really tasty and hygienic. Special meal includes Pooris and different varieties of rice. Amongst them, Bisi Bele Bhath was awesome!
They sweet dish which seemed like suji ka halwa, but the flavour was amazing!
Before start of the meal they serve juice in a small glass and the meal ends with a paan (Beeda)
The service is prompt and ambience is very good.
Athough, this place can be crowded on weekends during the lunch hours, with a waiting time of 10-15 minutes.
Have been here for Saturday lunch. They had this super duper South Indian Meal exclusively for weekend which was just too good.
Service: 4.5
Food: 5

Menu was great with exquisite Karnataka dishes.
Must try.
Awesome place to have lunch. They serve unlimited lunch which is quite extensive. Includes a wide variety of items. I have had dosays, shavige bath, kesari bath and all of these were very tasty. Staff is friendly and the hygiene is good. Be ready to wait in a queue on weekends as the place will get crowded.
One best friend for all South Indians. The Sunday special Chandrahara is mouth watering. Their Dumrot is unique in taste and will tempt you for a second(or maybe fourth serving?)
The South Indian meals is satisfying and a little over priced. They serve you dosa, puri, bisibelebath and rice. The ice cream tastes like home made. I totally love this place.
Must try: Also try their take away banana chips, and muffins
An authentic south Indian food joint . Masala dosas were not crisp enough with only potatoes and turmeric, but Badam halwa was worth trying 😊 Have tried the meals at Lalbagh outlet, which is value for money, though cannot be shared, worth trying, it's too heavy for a single person !!
Ambience : 3.5
Food : 3.5
Service : 4
Love this place. ..must try their rava idli. ..pongal is too good. ..wide variety of dosa but only thing I would like to add on is if the dosa could be made little thinner it would be even better. ..overall heaven for South Indian delicacies. ..must try if you are in Bangalore.
I have been in Bangalore for a year and wonder how i didn’t visit this place earlier. A very good meal. One should try and reach early if planning to visit on the weekend for the meals. Only special meal was available on Sunday. The walls are filled with the history and journey of the MTR name that takes you back in history. Just one bit that didn’t seem in place to me was that one has to typically eat the items in the order they are served. Breaking the order of dishes served as per one’s preference during the meals isn’t liked by the staff.
Best place for authentic dosa!
Good service, clean ambiance.
Only drawback is that you have to wait for at least 20 outside the restaurant before you can get a table

It really is a place for open podi dosa. I loved their modi masala dosa. This is one of the oldest food joint in Banglore and it really is that amazing. Most of the time, you can see people waiting for their turn for breakfast. I did not liked very much of their signature sweet dish Chandrahara. But, one should try it once.

Pure Veg restaurant in Mantri mall and must try thali, thye have unlimited veg buffet with the combination of Rajasthani and Gujrati dishes.
on Tuesday it will be 50% off for everyone and you can try on the same day, worth for 330 Rs per head and if you are not eat much and trying on different days means you find this place is costly because the thali is 630 + or -.
on Wednesday for women's they have some offer of 350 Rs (please check with the restaurant for pricing).
try to visit by 12:45 to 1:15 PM in the afternoon to get table without waiting.
they server every dish how much u want and you can ask for fill up, really great staffs and service.
they server everything little bit for the 1st time and you can ask everything again and again and to be serve Hot.
you feel the royal treatment from the beginning with the Hand wash with the hot water in the table to the end.
all the items are good and they put ghee for everything.
also they will refill the butter milk how much u drink.
try to visit on Tuesday to get offer
Good Rajasthani style vegetarian restaurant in Mantri Mall. Variety of items and taste is also good. Service is quick, even on weekend. They don't have a mini thali for kids, and didn't allow sharing with children.
One of the best Rajasthani food in Bangalore. Their service is excellent and menu is filled with 3-4 varieties of sabzi, Dal Bhati, dal, kadhi, sweets, and more!
Would recommend going on Tuesdays as they have a special offer price and menu is almost same as other days.
The ambiance is also quite good!
Rajdhani restaurant primarily caters to the vegetarian family crowd that visit the mall. They are a Rajasthani thali restaurant that serve typical Rajasthani vegetarian meal with lot of items in small portions.
The waiters were not very pleasant. They tried to trick people into accepting drinks that are not included in the package by not communicating well.
The taste of the food was as good as mall food can get.
There is no long wait usually, some wait may be expected on weekends.
I recently visited Rajdhani Thali resturant in Mantri Sqare mall Bangalore and tried their unlimited thali which tasted yummy 😋
I really liked Gujarati / Rajasthani dishes and highly recommend this place to all friends to try this unlimited thali.
Very clean and hygienic place with friendly staff. They have a very high price on weekends and every Tuesday the price is reduced to 50%.
The place was packed on Sunday afternoon. The food was Rajasthani style, a bit different for our Bengaluru accustomed taste buds. Although the waiters were polite, we had to inform 2 to 3 times, just for getting normal hot water. The price is a bit expensive. Worth trying for once, but not for repeat visits. There could be better communication among fellow waiters to serve better.
The service is very good.
The place is clean and hygienic.
Of course the food is very delicious which includes different types of sweets, then the main course (roti, curry, rice) of different types.
The price is on the higher side. It costs us around 650/- per head.
Worth trying.

As they are celebrating Mango Festival I tried those dishes which includes Mango in it.
My favourote was Aamras and Mango sabudana kheer which was outstanding. I really liked all the dishes and highly recommend this place to all friends to try this unlimited thali.
Very clean and hygienic place with friendly staff.
Rajdhani located in mantri mall in food court stands out for its amazing unlimited thali serving 21+ authentic dishes in 1 plate.
They serve variety of desserts and starters and main course .
The ambience is really good perfect for a family dine in experience.
The hospitality was great , the welcome and everything was a very delightful experience
They also have offers in Tuesdays and Wednesdays
