This is my most favourite place for vegetarian food. The Ambience is great, the staff is very friendly and service is a little slow but food is amazing here be it north indian, south indian, chats, breakfast. One of my favourite places which has the best Masala Dosa.
Clean and neat.Anything and everything anytime. We are having here from years, must visit when you cross by vijayanagar
One of the oldest restaurants and serves good food.
I ate Rava Idli and Vada it was for reasonable price. I enjoyed it with my friends. I will recommend this place for the ones who are in search for the South Indian taste and essence. The ambience is good but a bit cozy.
Been visiting this place since 7-8 years now! Good place for breakfast, lunch and dinner ! Pocket friendly and decent place for family! My favourite dishes are veg biryani, masala dosa and Vada! Do visit this place if you stay in and around vijaynagar:)
Ambience- Ordered online
Pocket friendly- Cheap for the quality and quantity served
Food- I order here regularly because of the discounts offered. Bisi bele bath was tasty with good amount of spice but not too spicy. It had fresh veggies and quantity was very generous.
Rava idli was slightly sweet but fresh and quantity was good and big accompanied with sambar and coconut chutney.
Medu Wada was very big in size and was really tasty. It was less oily, crunchy from the outside and soft on the inside.
Service- Quick delivery with good packing and cutleries. Food was warm.
Rating- 4 as its budget friendly and of good quality
Indraprastha is a pure vegetarian restaurant located on the main road of Vijayanagar. The food here is simply brilliant. From South Indian food to North Indian and Chinese is what you get here.
The Masala' dosa is absolutely delicious and so is the other types of dosas and idlys.
They have a huge variety of north Indian dishes, a number of gravies and rice items and all of them are always so well made. I've been a loyal customer for over the last 15 years now and it has always been one of my most favorite restaurants for a vegetarian meal.
One of the famous and old restaurant in Vijaynagar, where it was the only good restaurant in Vijaynagar at one time.
The setting capacity is also more having two floors.
Most of the time it would be crowded and busy.
Quality of food is good and sort of little decreased due to large crowd.
Excellent place, very rooted in old Bangalore vibes, been coming to this place for a year now always on work always assumed it's not a place to find good food. I was pleased to find this place had the meals for lunch tasted very authentic. But what shocked me was the bill it's very well priced and I mean very well!
Good place for vegetarians like me. Serves both north indian and south indian food and both are good in taste. I tried a North Indian mini mean and was worth the money.
Ambiance is decent, around 5-6 four wheelers can easily be parked in the viscinity.
Visited this place twice.
First time was around 6 years back, I don't really remember the dishes that we ordered.
Second time was in January end this year.
We ordered :
Sev puri : Really good
Dahi Puri : Tasty but dahi was a little too much for the puri to store
Pani Puri : Could improve the sweet Pani, else delicious
Set Dosa : It was of a perfect color and had a heavenly taste but the side curry seemed a bit stale
Masala Dosa : A bit oily but yummy.
Overall :
Ambiance : 3/5
Food : 4/5
Service : 5/5
( I would request that the Management look into the spellings in the menu, on page 11, it's spelled as scoup instead of scoop)
One of the best and iconic restaurants in VijayNagar. Spacious and the food is good. Fast service, hygenic and has a good ambience. An overall perfect for a casual dine.
Recommending for dosa and rice items. South and North Indian dishes are good. Restaurant is tad expensive compared to what is offered here.
This is situated right at the back of Vijaynagar Metro station. Hospitality and cleanliness is good. But washrooms are hopeless. Food quality is good. Tasty.
I have enjoyed a delicious food. I like the ambiance and politeness of staff. Price is bit costly but quality of food is highly satisfied...
Hotel indraprasth restaurant is the best place for family dining.
Good ambiance.
Good taste.
And reasonable price.
Loved north Indian meals and Manchurians.
The place is located behind Vijayanagar bus stop.Have had the best masala dosa and Idli/Vada of my life here, very crisp and yummy.
All South Indian breakfast are good and excellent coffee.Staff of late are very arrogant in dictating us where to sit is not acceptable downstairs.
The service in AC is better compared downstairs, staff polite.
Parking 2 wheeler is available
A citizen of Whitefield hardly ever goes beyond MG Road, leave alone Vijaynagar. However i had to, to take my daughter for her Level 2 Kathak Exam.
Apparently it’s a long wait, almost an hour of theory, & practical’s. My daughters Guru, suggested us to head out for some fresh air, instead of just fiddling our thumbs in anxiety, and also recommended the Masala Dose & Filter Coffee in the adjacent Indraprastha Restaurant.
what better way to kill time, than an excuse to eat some good food, me & Wifey headed immediately & ordered the highly recommended dishes of the Menu.
Am glad on the recommendation, it’s one of the best Masala Dose I had, after my all time favourite at MTR. Crispy, Crusty on the outside, Soft & fluffy on the inside, I was on Dose Heaven, the Potato Masala was to die for. Though the Chutney & Sambar tried to elevate the already awesome dosa, it was a win win for me.
I did order a samosa chaat too, which tasted excellent, Wonderfully well made & one of the bestest.
All this gulped down with some excellent filter kaapi, way too impressed I packed up a couple of packets of the filter coffee powder, which is Quiet a strong blend of 85% Coffee & only 15% Chicory.
Am already waiting for my daughters next exam so as my excuse to visit this restaurant again, thankfully accessibility is awesome, it’s just below the Vijaynagar metro station, happy snacking & tiffining.
This is one of the best(Clean and Neat) restaurant in Vijaya Nagar.
I always order Ghee Dosa which is quite good followed by a slight sugar added Tea.
This place has both self service system as well as sit and eat kind of arrangement.
This place also has the facility of Toilet(I write this because we don't find any toilets easily and that to clean one)
*Sorry will make sure to click pictures next time.
Thank You

It is One of the oldest restaurant of vijayanagar. Also a huge one. I regularly have masala dosa. It's very nice and bright. Sambar was good. To end up a cup of full coffee makes one feel comfy.
Best place for family outing. Ambience is cool. Food is delicious. Dosa is something one shouldn't miss. North dishes also fine here. Price wise it's bit on higher side.
Excellent taste and Decor !! Fantastic Ambience
And management is Really Very good !! Kindly visit
And see for yourself the great taste and superlative service !!
This place located behind Vijayanagar bus stand is well know among bus riders for its famous and yummy dosa... it’s pretty crowded in the evening. The prices are affordable. Apart from dosa they also serve wide variety, ranging from tea/ coffee to Chinese cuisine. But I prefer their dosa items. This place is very convenient for a tired office goer or college student to grab a quick meal. Or pretty much for anyone who really enjoys having yummy South Indian food.
A popular restaurant in Vijaynagar that lives up to its reputation. Food is great, although a bit expensive. Ambience is average. It’s quite crowded so sometimes you have to wait before you get a table. Overall, a recommended place to visit.
I heard that Food is very costly and was not that level okay for the amount paid!🤔
But in my visit opinion of others proved wrong! We had onion dosa Dose Open masala dosa and idly sambar for the Morning Breakfast! With a cup of tea! 😋
Each food was good and tasty! Price is bit costly compare to other normal restaurants! But one can have tasty breakfast here!😊
Service and Ambience is also good! Overall 4/5 🤗
This restaurant has been the most famous place in vijaynagar area. It's very hygienic and the service is really quick. It's famous for South Indian breakfast. Chats and pav bhaji served here are great too. I usually order their crispy masala dosa which is very filling and rava onion dosa which is excellent. This place is a must visit for either breakfast or evening snack if you're in and around vijaynagar.
Yummy and super taste this restaurant provides and also a good service now they have opened chaatimes in there hotel all items are good taste especially I like paner kofta and aloo tokri chat
This restaurant is very old, i am seeing it for like 10 to 15 years now and the best part is they maintain the taste and quality of the food. Best dishes i like here is the masala dosa, udinna vada(which is always crispy) and bisi bele bath are the best served.
Masala puri and Paav bhaaji were the best ones here 😋 Clean and fast service makes it even better Near to main road good connectivity makes it more easy to access
The place is spacious and best to have a catch-up, snack and sip coffee. Dahi poori was mouth watering, so was Gobi manchuri. Coffee was perfect. Will visit again to try breakfast menu.
Awesome south Indian Coffee and a the bakhsha sweet .
Thanks to shail for taking me here .Had three rounds of the coffee .
Ambience ia traditional .The place is packed .Be open to sharing your table as well
it's a hyped up place. good food. the crowd is too much and no place to eat. overall it's a nice place to eat. but not Tobe hyped so much . had a visit with family.
Located right next to the Vijayanagar main bus stop, slightly heavy on the wallet, but good quality food, nonetheless.
Masala Dosa is downright brilliant. Defenitely the high point of the hotel.
Its Pure Veg Restaurant south Indian & North Indian dishes available.
Best Place for breakfast in Vijayanagar, Located exactly Vijayanagar City Bus Stop.
Service hall & self Service available. Must try is Vada, Very crispy and soft they serve hot. Dosa and all breakfast items are good and tasty.
Average tasting outlet, doesn't seem to be having a special dish or the taste that can call me back for the second round.do not try paper masala Dosa here. Chutney and sambar are on par with other restaurants I have been.
A good restaurant with healthy food is available. The ambience is also fine for a family dining and for a small party. The location of the restaurant is visible to everyone
The masala dosa in Indraprastha is the bestest ever. I have eaten masala dosa across Bangalore in some of the famous hotels and darshinis....but have never eaten masala dosa like the one that is served in Indraprastha. Masala Dosa and filter coffee, what more can one ask for. Thier menu is something that you may not find anywhere. One should try the main course too. It is quite fulfilling!
Masala dosa with chatnipudi on it is treat 😋
Pav bhajji and other chats have made a mark.
Still has got competition with food street which is 200mts apart when it comes to taste 😛
Totally a great place for family get-togethers and has friendly staff
One of the oldest hotels in Vijaynagar, the place is thronged by many for their amazing dosa in the morning, the sagu that they serve with their fluffy set dosa in just amazing!
The place also has a well-done seating area, for those who want to eat in leisure.
The north Indian gravies are on point and have never disappointed me. Especially the veg dopyaza :)
Indraprastha is my go-to place for chats especially when it's raining, their pav bhaji is splendid!
I would rate it a 5/5 but they occasionally manage to screw up their service so I'd give it a 4/5
This outlet is conveniently located on the service road, just behind Vijayanagara bus stop or few meters walk from Vijayanagara Metro station. Parking is available but hard to get due to the constantly parked vehicles. Consider yourself lucky if you manage to get one :)
Ambiance is decent & spacious.
Set Dose was one of the 1st thing I feel in love with after moving to Bangalore(OK agreed it was the 2nd thing, 1st being Bangalore Weather :)
Despite numerous visits, I mostly end up having Set Dose and washing it down with a nice hot cup of filter coffee.
IMHO I think this place serves one of the best Set Dose+Saagu combo (the other being Uphara Darshini, reviewed separately).
They simply melt in your mouth.
One of my most favorite place to have Set Dose.
Service is fast & responsive. During my recent visit with my friend, I was served a normal Set Dose despite me requesting one with less oil. On bringing this to the server's notice, it was promptly replaced.
As a creature of habit, I plan to visit again and try something (hopefully different) for a change ;)
Decent place for a Pure Veg family lunch/dinner outing.
Ambiance: 4
Service: 4
Taste: 4

Recommend: Set Dose!
Overall: 4
If you come here, then try the Pav bhaji , masala dosa without fail ! Trust me , you will love the items served here
If there’s one thing that this place guarantees, it’s the quality of food and service provided !
Very good hotel in its category !
Soup was upto the mark, masala dosa was crispy, equally sambhar and chutney isn’t that great! Coffee was great ! 😊 AC doesn’t work in first floor , they’ve switched on fan all over in AC room. But the AC has separate menu ! So kindly check before you sit !
I always have their South Indian thaali for lunch as its really excellent value and with a good selection of items. If anyone is looking for something under chats menu then go for sev puri, it tastes really delicious.
Overall food here is good, the portions are generous but I must admit that they have maintained the quality of the food.
The staff are nice, but need to be more attentive and experienced.

I would rate it a 5/5 but they occasionally manage to screw up their service so I'd give it a 4/5
Very yummy food ! Worth the money , moderately priced (not the cheapest ,but for that quality it's satisfactory price)
The servers need to pay more attention as in asking for water Nd stuff , I do understand the place is crowded , so they find it a bit difficult to please every one at the same time.
Anyway good food pleases me :)))
Food 4.25/5
Ambience 4.5/5
Service 4/5
The legacy if this place still persists.
@Panduranga Amberker
One of the oldest restaurants in Vijaynagar and located just outside the metro station. The masala dosa here is a must have. All other darshini-type dishes are good but it's a bit overpriced. Quality has remained the same across the years although I notice portion size is getting smaller. North Indian and Chinese food here is okay but nothing to speak of.

This is one of the oldest and popular restaurants in Vijaynagar. One thing that has to be appreciated about this place is the way they have maintained the quality of food. Simply amazing.
They serve South Indian and north Indian food. Some indo Chinese as well. I have been to this place many a times.
Love their soft fluffy idlis n crisp vadas. The chutney is really good. The dosas are delicious. They make good manchurian. Overall a beautiful place n budget as well.
Tried Vada, set dose and coffee at this place..
Set dose was very spongy and very delicious. Vada was not so great.
There service was great, they could maintain the hotel in a better way.
Visited the place after ages, a lot has changed since the 2000's surrounding the place but indraprastha continues to remain a landmark. Has a masale dose to reminisce old times and it still retains some of the the charm. Place looks well maintained and tidy and had a good spread of choices in their menu.
The food here is good. Had a set dosa and carrot halwa. It was quite tasty and the dosa was soft. I came here for the coffee. Heard it is pretty good. It was good but sadly not to my taste. But I do recommend you try the place. Plus the exterior looks quite grand.
One of the finest hotel near vijayanagar.Especially masala dosa is too good .With the affordable price you will get the best food .To the people who are looking for the best breakfast at the hotel you must visit
Picture this: I stepped into Indraprastha, a hidden gem tucked away on the bustling Vijayanagar main road. As I stepped inside, a wave of nostalgia washed over me. The familiar sights, the aroma of spices dancing in the air—it was like stepping back in time to the days of 90's.
I found myself a cozy spot, surrounded by walls adorned with vintage photographs and artifacts, each whispering tales of the restaurant's rich history. The buzz of conversations and the clatter of plates filled the air, creating a lively symphony that set the stage for what was to come.
The friendly server approached with a smile and handed me the menu. But let's be honest, there was only one dish that truly stole the show—the masala dosa. It was renowned far and wide, a legend in its own right. I couldn't resist the temptation and placed my order with eager anticipation.
As I waited, observing the bustling activity around me, I couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie. People from all walks of life, young and old, gathered under this roof, bound by their love for good food and cherished memories. Indraprastha seemed like a culinary haven where time stood still, a place that had witnessed countless stories unfold.
Finally, the moment arrived. The dosa, golden and crispy, was placed before me like a work of art. The first bite was a revelation—a burst of flavors that danced on my tongue. The potato filling was perfectly spiced, while the dosa itself had that coveted crunch that made it a true delight.
To complement the dosa, I ordered a steaming cup of coffee. The aroma alone was enough to lift my spirits, and with the first sip, I felt a warmth spreading through my body. It was the kind of coffee that invigorates your soul and fuels your passion. Each sip was a moment of bliss, as if time paused just for me.
As I savored every bite and sip, I couldn't help but reflect on the journey of Indraprastha. It had weathered the storms of time, adapting to changing tastes and trends, yet managing to retain its essence, surviving for almost 30 years and still going strong. The dedication of the staff and the commitment to quality were evident in every morsel.
Leaving the restaurant, I carried with me not just a satisfied appetite but a sense of gratitude. Indraprastha had given me more than just a delicious meal—it had given me a glimpse into the past, a taste of tradition, and memories that would linger for years to come.
So, dear readers, if you find yourself in Vijayanagar, let the doors of Indraprastha beckon you. Step inside and let the flavors transport you to a bygone era, where the love for food and the joy of shared experiences reign supreme. Indraprastha, a haven of flavors and stories, awaits your visit.

Masala dosa is too good
Parking for cars a little issue
It's good. We were made to move from first floor to ground floor, though there was enough rush. We had to wait nearly half an hour to be served. Food is good.
Since 23yrs I am a regular foodie here. Food at its best... Good food and service. Masala dosa is too yumm, the crispy and red orange colour masala dosa is quite famous here, and here you will get panduranga coffee which is super, we had lunch in the afternoon , which was good and strong coffee...
This is a pure vegetarian restaurant for those people who like only vegetarian food.
You can find here all types of food with very good quality.
It's located in vijaynagar near the water tank.
The staff is also very good with great service.
If you are looking for a pure vegetarian food restaurant and tasty food, this is the perfect place, here you will get all types of breakfast, meals, snacks etc., It was a bit more expensive when compared to other hotels, but the taste was great, there is table service and self service, for table service they will charge extra i think
