I fell in love with this Dosa. One of the best available in Bangalore. This one is the butter plain dosa from Konark, Commercial Street outlet. The best part of ordering Dosa at Konark is the chutney they serve. Its loaded with ample amount of Coconut that gives it a hint of sweetness. The dosa with this chutney is heaven. Sambar they serve is the sweet version here but it needs to up the game to compete with the chutney. However, I finished both the portions of sambar.
Last but not the least, the coffee here is a must try. Strong enough to give you a refreshing feel. Couldn't wait to taste the coffee, hence no pic.
Do try this place if you are in commercial street. The ambience and the service is top notch and they do maintain their restrooms neat and clean. On the pricing side, it's reasonably priced for a fine dine place which guarantees you consistency in the taste and quality.

A Good restaurant which provides food at a good price. The ambience is friendly and favourable for family lunch or dinner.
They provide South Indian and North Indian and Chinese food but do not have South Indian meals as part of their menu.
The service staff were great.
I had ordered :
Sweet corn soup and Manchow soup. Both of them were good and up to the mark.
I had ordered baby corn golden fried starter. It contained 8 pieces and was average. Better try some other starters.
I had ordered kulcha rotis and daal and mixed veg curries. They were really good.
I had ordered jeera rice even, even it was good.

A good veg only restaurant on the busy commercial street. A good place to eat between the shopping. We ordered Gobi Manchurian for the starter. It was crispy and dry - the way we like it !! We ordered butter roti, garlic naan and paneer tikka masala. All of them were good and authentic. We ordered ghee rice - which was plain. We ended the meal with masala buttermilk which was soothing!

That one hidden, very good restaurant in Commercial Street. It's not easy to locate this restaurant as it is in top floor and covered with all the commercial hoardings. However, the place always has little to less waiting time and crowded during the peak hours. It's a Vegetarian restaurant, but you won't regret eating here even if you are a non-vegetarian as the taste of the food is flawless. Definitely a must-go place for anybody who has some appetite for good food while shopping around.

Its a south indian veg restuarent with a good ambience. The food is very good. We have tried different kinds of dosa and few starters and everything seems to be cooked perfectly. This place is a little difficult to find though in the commercial street but its worth a visit.

Soul food for vegetarians... usually I find it very difficult to find a vegetarian restaurant that suits my palette and very few pass the test. Konark is one such restaurant, I go there whenever I am looking for vegetarian specialities, i am visiting this place after a long time, itâs still hidden in a cozy place away from the buzz but still centrally located in Commercial Street. Calm and pleasant ambience. My favourites here are hara bara kabab, brownie sizzler and warm gulab jamun with ice cream, i also love the dal kichidi served here. Simple and soul food.

Candle light dinner anyone??? If youâre out there at commercial street then I got a place just for you â Konark Restaurant. The perfect setup for a candle light dinner who knew that in such a busy place you have a spot like this. This was surely an eye opener for me however the down side is that it is a veg restaurant but you gotta compromise if you want this ambience.
I stopped here for dinner at Konark Veg Restaurant, it wasnât crowded much as it was a weekend hardly there were few people around. I donât have much of an appetite unfortunately that day so we ordered a minimum a butter naan and paneer tikka masala. Coming to Butter naan they were soft and evenly cooked. The panner butter masala was sufficient in quantity for two people with ample amount of paneer pieces in it. Great taste and spices were in proportion. The service was good and the staff were polite. Pricing was economical enough and didnât burn a whole in my pocket. Overall a good ambience for candle light with your dear ones

This is the 3rd branch of Konark restaurant in Bangalore. We happen to visit the Commercial Streetâs branch on a Saturday afternoon for lunch
Food- For starters, We ordered their hara bhara kabab(Peas filled kababs, with mint chutney, it was good), Gobi manchurian ( Crispy and tasty), the garlic naan was also good. The stuffed kulcha Naan was little too salty. The Benarasi dum Aloo was well cooked and was a perfect combination with the garlic naan. Last but not the least, the schwewan sauce based noodles and rice was just alright.

Theyre manchurians be it babycorn, paneer or gobi is very tatsy. We had tandoori rotis and a dish called veg kadai which tatsed a little different, in a great way.
It's a wonderful place to stop by while or after doing your shopping at commercial street for a hearty meal.
This is located in popular Commercial Street. Food here is really good quality. They prepare fresh and every item tastes really good. The good thing about this place is that they taste of both South Indian and North Indian food is really good and high class at decent rates. They claim to use freshly ground spices and the taste of their dishes is testimony of same. Service is efficient too. Beautiful restaurant. The location is in Prime Commercial Street. We went around 2pm when the crowd started to pour in. We ordered amazing Kebab balls and main course. The staters took long time to come as they prepare only when we place the order, the freshness was there in the taste. The main course was delicious. Had chapati and kofta which just melted into my mouth. Also the veg Hyderabadi biriyani which was yummy too. The ending was with Gilab Jamun & Gajar ka Halwa. It was too yummy and delicious. Overall, I loved the experience.
This place is put up at such a nice location, when people get tired of shopping can hop in for a quick bite. Same happened with me on a Saturday afternoon and I went here for lunch with my brother.
The place was 70% full and had nice comfortable seating. Without any further delay, we ordered Three Treasure Veg with Hunan sauce for starter. This dish had a mix of paneer, mushroom and babycorn mixed with Hunan sauce. The portion was sufficient for 3 people and the taste was decent but nothing exceptional.
Then we had Peking Fried rice, paneer butter masala and garlic naan for main course. The portions here are seriously huge and we were almost full with just one starter.
But the rice was quite delectable and the gralic naan was soft. Paneer masala was not great but good.
Finally, we also shared a glass of butter milk which was quite good.
Overall, a good vegetarian restaurant with courteous staff who ensures to provide a prompt service.
It's a great place for some delicious vegetarian meal, after a long day of shopping at commerical street you might just want to come here for some good food .

Good place to grab a quick lunch.. vegetarian of course! Stopped here for lunch today with a couple of friends and the place was in the midst of the hustle bustle of commercial street. Bare minimum necessities are taken care of in terms of furniture and also very narrow and steep flight of stairs leads you to this restaurant.
It was moderately crowded and we got a table immediately. Food is reasonably priced and the service was quick...pertaining to the never ending line of customers who kept coming in.
We ordered:
- Peking fried rice - with fried mushrooms, tomatoes and corn, this rice was tasty! Very unconventional combination in a fried rice as per me, but the taste was good
- Paneer mutter masala - Good in taste as well but less paneer in the gravy. The quantity is enough for for two people if you aren't a big eater.
- Butter naan - soft and well cooked
- Masala butter milk - decent in taste as well

The food is really good and the cost is also good. The staff's behaviour is very good. If you go to commercial street you must try this restaurant.

This is my first review for this outlet which I visited numerous times. This our go to place after a hectic shopping day at commercial Street. We visited many a times just to eat the hyderabad biryani that they make it really good. This time we ordered masala papad, manchow soup and hyderabad biryani. This we followed up by pani poori, chocolate milkshake and coffee. Not an ideal combination for lunch but on a tiring day they are all in the menu. Now coming to taste.. Masala papad was very badly made, manchow was bit spicy and ok. Hyderabad biryani didn't disappoint us. Chocolate milkshake was OK. Nothing really great. Panipoori is OK again. Overall it is an ok experience. If it is not for the perfect biryani I wouldn't visit this place again. The place is clean and service very agile.

After tiring ourselves by shopping in the shopping hub of Bengaluru, we finally found a vegetarian restaurant where we can indulge ourselves into. Itâs always been a MCD or Burger King or woodyâs that we used to visit before, but finally found a place where we can go and have some amazing food which wouldnât leave us with guilt of having the junk food.
We ordered a pasta salad, Masala Dosa and a Hyderabadi Biryani. I have to say that the portion goes along with the pricing and it was a hunger satisfying dinner for all the three of us.
Pasta Salad : The pasta salad was a perfect salad with some veggies like capsicum, onions, tomatoes with mayonnaise sauce is truly a delight. Thanks for the people who also felt the same and made this dish a recommended dish due to which we were able to relish this.
Masala Dosa : less oily, crispy and tasty is how I can define this!! The chatni was too good.
Hyderabadi Biryani : This is among one of the best Biryani I have ever had it had the right taste and aroma which can make any Biryani lover crave for in the coming days!!

I went to this place for lunch after a long day of shopping. I was so tired that I wanted something South Indian. So I looked at this place and went right in. It's located in the main street and I walked into this place. I loved the ambiance of this place. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant located right in the middle of the busiest street. Luckily, this place wasn't crowded and I didn't have to wait.Â
I ordered Paneer Dosa which is a special dish there I suppose. It was so yum. Maybe the most delicious "DOSA" I've ever had. I had never tasted dosa stuffed with paneer before. This was my first time and I loved the delicious taste of it. After I had every bite of the dosa, I ordered a salad. Italian Pasta salad with mayonnaise sauce topped on it. Pasta Salad, as its name suggests is Pasta with tomatoes, Onions, Bell peppers and many more vegetables mixed with pasta and topped with loads of mayo. It tasted so good and this was on of the good salads I've had.Â
Overall, if you're in Commercial and you're looking for a pure vegetarian place to eat and if you're craving for South Indian food - Always remember this place.
Nice place to have a contemporary food, when you donât want to experiment and have good food, everything they serve is good ... we didnât had good experience in their ice choco lava cake... it tasted like burnt chocolate ... they replaced it with a new one but that one also had same issue.

Visited this place on a saturday and there was waiting of-course and quite crowded even after 3.30 pm. Typical old style ambience and good food and good service too. All the items ordered , paneer tikka masala roti and kulcha and vegetable Biryani .All the items ordered were great and there was a quick service . Worth trying for a vegetatrian definitely. And no parking space near the restaurant.

Being a person who was born and brought up in North India I was craving authentic North Indian Food in Bangalore when I first moved here. Konark gave me that! The manchurian was really good along with Paneer tikka and aaaah what can I say about the garlic naan. Especially since the tiresome shopping time we all have in Commercial Street!
Konark is one of the places where you can expect good veg food. Happened to dine from there today after many years and their food quality is still maintained. We had ordered plain naans, tawa paneer and aloo fry for mains and sizzling brownie as dessert. The naan was not too thick and was slightly crispy n hot to our liking. Expected regular aloo fry but they had added sauteed onions, capsicum etc which made it good. Tawa paneer was presented well; resembled small club sandwiches in a gravy! Two small triangle shaped paneer slices with some green stuffing in between and the paneer's were fried to make them crispy on the outside. This was placed in gravy. Sizzling brownie is a must try there; chocolate sauce poured over a dollop of ice cream placed over piping hot brownie.
Overall: food quality, service and ambience are good.

For the first time for my vegetarian friends i accompanied them to a veg restaurant and honestly speaking i enjoyed the food throughly.From the starters to main course to desserts i liked the food. Ambience is decent & service was prompt.I liked their sweet corn masala,garlic naan,crumbled panner fry,Chinese bhel & panner lababdar. Brownie sizzler was authentic & obviously awesome.In a place like commercial street,after a days power packed shopping you can definitely go to this place to satisfy your hunger with the nice food served here.I will give 3.5 out of 5 to this place Konark
I would call this a hidden wonder on Commercial Street. This place is well lit naturally, air conditioned and bang on Commercial Street. Konark is well known for their quality food and service and you can expect the same in this outlet also. So when you feel the other joints around this area is either too old or very crowded, you know where to go :-)

Konark is one of my favourite pure veg restaurants to have some authentic north indian diahes. Having been to the residency road division a number of occasions had been to this one for lunch on a weeknd. It's located amidst the array of shops in the middle of the commercial street.
Had hara bara kabab and paneer satey for starters ,kabab was very good but felt paneer satey was just ok as I like it more spicy and probably this was not a good option.
Had dal kichidi for main course and as always was just awesome ,I make it a point to not miss on kichidi whenever I'm in konark and it never disappoints.
Virgin mojito was also quiet good.
Overall a nice place to have lunch or dinner ,would.like to taste their Chinese menu next time around.

Very good restaurant situated right at the heart of com street. We had ordered Tom yom soup panner chilly roti angara gravy hyderabad biriyani and carrot h alwa with ice cream.
Roti gravy and hyderabad biriyani was mouth watering however tom yom soup was average. The steal of the show was hot carrot halwa with ice creams. Definitely worth it. Cannot miss that combo. Staff are extremely hospitable.

When I was on a long day shopping in commercial Street , this restaurant was like a savior to me, as I was not in a mood to eat burgers, sandwiches or something else. Had a good experience with food here. Always the place is crowded as it is the only vegetarian multicuisine restaurant in the main Street. Had been here for lunch with my mother. We ordered the alu mutter with gobi and butter rotis. The subji was perfect, not too spicy - just like we had asked for, and the butter rotis were soft and hot. Fast service, which was unbelievable, seeing that the restaurant was full. Very reasonable prices, quick service, decent ambience.
We had mughlai biryani, dhal kitchidi and American chopsuey. Food was excellent. Masala butter milk was great. But the repeat order was little strong for our liking.

Visited Konark on a hot afternoon after all the roaming around commerical Street. This place is quite legendary since it has been around for a long time. Hold on, don't worry as one could easily find Konark on CS wherein dishes are yummy, neat n tidy but, starters ought to be improved as the existing ones aren't that great, prices spiked too; taste being on a lower end and turned cliché. Desserts are quite good & so is the service. Located on the 2nd floor but elevator available for elderly n the needy, so not an issue.

Have been to their Residency Road outlet before many times. As the name suggests this is a place that mainly serves south Indian food and to keep up with the world it has north Indian food also on its menu.
The best thing about this place is that it provides very decent food at a very pocket friendly price. Unlike my earlier times we decided to have only north Indian food,that was a paneer dish, dal, chapati and naam as per everyone's preference and rice at the end. And I was not at all surprised with the wonderful food served to us. And such was the level of food that even 4 months after that my friends refer to this place and the food saying and I quote 'waisa paneer yaha Kahin nahi milta' (you don't get that quality of paneer anywhere in Bangalore).
The service was quite fast and since it was quite late and we were hungry this place suited us more. The staff was well mannered and friendly. The place, though it doesn't look like the ones we generally find around this area but was quite decent and very clean.
Amazing experience. Would love to go back again to any of their outlets.

Konark Restaurant has a number of outlets and this one is in commercial street. Located on 2nd floor this restaurant might give some peace from the maddening shopping crowd just below. The restaurant has some impressive interiors and stands apart from their residency road outlet. On a weekday when crowd is less the ambience and decor could be great for a dinner.
The food served was just average similar to their residency road outlet. The soup was bland, manchurian was watery (gravy doesn't mean serve watery) and tasteless and same was the main course. The only saviour was their sizzling brownie. Though this outlet serves better food than residency road still it is just average.
The service was quick and nice. Though it was a Sunday the staff were smiling and co-operative. Konark has lost it's taste whereas once konark used to serve really tasty food. It really needs to work on their taste else will end up losing it's value.

Must try for all vegan lovers. This place has been a must visit on every commercial street walk for the past 2 years. Even though you might have to wait for a couple of minutes during peak hours, the food is worth it. Reasonable pricing and good service.
Probably one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Bangalore. We actually planned and went to this place for dinner. The place is unusually quiet, in a good way. The service is very fast and the food is the best part (as it should be). Their Achari Paneer is something I never tried and loved. Worth visiting again.

Finding a parking space nearby might be a dream come true. Prices were decent.
Had some fried rice, spring rolls and gobi manchurian. The food was yum, but i seriously think that the service department needs to improve a loottt!
It's is a pretty decent place in coms street. The best place for dosa and coffee. It is not very noticeable that is one drawback about this place. Their north Indian food is good as well. I loved their baby corn schezwan and paneer butter masala. This is a must try for dosa.
Once you go in, the place wouldn't feel to be situated in the busy Commercial Street. It's a Good enough place. Looks tidy. Try the orange juice over, it's pulpy and tastes awesome.

Recently visited this restaurant during my short trip to Bengaluru.
With a beautiful and pleasing ambiance, this place was so clean.
We ordered Garlic, Spinach and mushroom soup. It tasted really good with correct amount of garlic and spinach.
For starters we had ordered, Paneer Satay. This is highly recommended starter. Amazing taste of paneer with peanut masala. Yum to the core.
We also ordered Three Treasure Veg with Hunan sauce. It tasted good though nothing special in it.
For the main course, we ordered simple naan, pudina parantha and onion Roti. It tasted good but I felt the naan was little dry.
Side dish we opted for Paneer Shahi kurma and Veg Angara. Veg Angara was little spicy than expected. Otherwise both were good.
Dessert, we went for sizzling brownie. As usual yum.Special mention goes here for the Paneer - which was very soft and fresh and the restaurant's quick service.
If I ever need a good lunch with my family, this is our go to place for the past 6 years. Well maintained, friendly staff and brilliant lip-smacking food! Have tried most of the dishes here and my all time favorites are cheese balls, galouti kabab, dal khichidi, the tricolor subzi, the minced veggies subzi, stuffed kulcha, jeera rice, open dosa and the ever-green Masala dosa!

A fine restaurant in the busy roads of commercial streets....you may find some difficulty in finding the restaurant as it does not appear so properly among so many commercial outlets.
To have a relax meal you have to visit in early hours otherwise u have to stand in the long queue for a table.
The ambience and the service is very good with proper sitting arrangements....
Coming to the food, being a vegetarian restaurant they have maintained a very good taste level may be it breakfasts or lunch....
The starters were very yummy specially the gobi manchurian and mushroom pepper fry....
The dosa's were super may be it cheese pepper masala dosa or onion masala rava dosa...they were very crispy and the chutney added a lot of flavours to the dosa...
The hot and cold drinks were also good...the masala butter milk was very thirst quenching...
Always recommended whenever you are at commercial streets....
We were out shopping at commercial Street and went mad by hunger.Being a veggie I didnt find any place which would serve good food for lunch.my mom pointed out that there was a restaurant named Konark.waited for 19mins and finally got a seat.i was a lil disturbed with their slow service.
The rotis were the best till date I had ever had!!!such amazing food they serve.

After a hectic shopping spree all of us were hungry and my wife who had been to Konark earlier suggested this restaurant to us. Located next to Bata on 4th floor seating was available without a struggle as it was past lunch hours.
For starters it was paneer satay and masala dosa. For mains it was swz. Fried rice, singapore noodles and manchurian in szw sauce. Paneer satay was good - paneer was extremely soft however the peanut sauce should have been thicker. Masala dosa was yummy. Mains were good - szw rice was very spicy and if you cannot handle spice then suggest u request accordingly. Noodles and manchurian were also good. Ice tea was good and for dessert we ordered sizzling brownie which was yummy and delicious. They have north indian cuisine and chaats too. Do visit if you are in the vicinity.

I do really like Konark- their best dish according to me being the cheese dosa. Been visiting this place for many years now and all their foods are very nice. Even their filter coffee was great! Good for a quick bite amidst ur shopping spree at commercials
Very nice pure vegetarian food, As a family party we ordered different items like north Indian , Chinese, dosas , ice creams. Each item was tasty and authentic. One remark is quantity is less compared to respective rates. The atmosphere is cool with AC. Interiors, neat ness OK, service good. Enjoyed lunch.

Bonda soup was aptly spiced, gulab jamun was super tasty, filter coffee is definitely one of the best.
Went with my family here on a Sunday evening.We tried butter masala pudi dosai, set dosai and Konarak special sandwich - all of them were really tasty. Only the special sandwich felt like it wasn't worth the price but still it was tasty as it is.

such a busy traffic Road, I am surprised to see a such a good parking place but of course. you need to wait to get the parking. Nice ambience superfast service. First time. I saw a Idli with gatti white and red Chutney. I feel dosa ok ok type. Coffee also okay okay.

It was a rainy evening when we went. The management has a couple of carâs parking spots out front. If that gets filled up, within the premises thereâs paid parking which is ridiculous. The management can come to an understanding with the paid parking staff and upon producing the bill of the hotel, parking fees can be waived off. I found that as a hiccup. Other than that the food seemed fine and tasty. It was very crowded after 8:00 pm. So if youâre a family or group of friends, prior intimation might help.

I visited this Restaurant a week ago. The place is really beautiful and clean. Really had a great time spending with my family. Tried South Indian dishes which are superb. Had tasted few north Indian dishes too. No compromise in quality. Price also affordable. Staff members and their services were good. Definitely a good atmosphere for a family celebration and outings. A very traditional restaurant with great taste and hygienic conditions. It might not be a fancy restaurant but the location is just perfect and food is great ! Definitely a place to visit again. Service is decent no issues. You car parking space for free but for bikes you need to pay..so a star less over there đ

Being a vegetarian it is often difficult finding good places to visit for a treat. But this restaurant which, as the name says provide the best quality vegetarian food which is lip smacking. The atmosphere is really pleasant and I had nice time, the staff is very good and you will have a great service. If you are looking for a vegetarian restaurant, this is just the place to go.
Had been to this place with a close friend of mine for lunch. The place is serving good food for the past 50 years and has undergone lot upgrades. Seating is comfortable. Service needs to be appreciated. The place is a favorite at any time of the day. But I felt it is bit high priced.
It's a very nice, almost 30 year(maybe) old restaurant. Very nice food. Always full at breakfast hours. We love having Coffee and simple breakfast items there, whenever possible
Only negative thing to write about is, it has limited parking. Also the basement pay-parking had away too low. For SUV cars like Scorpio, am certain that it'll touch the beams on top !
