The foods good and consistent .
Had a nice chat with the founder R Suresh whose creative work is displayed all around the cafe from posters to Mugs .Picked up the Kerala queue mug last night .The posters quite hilarious as well .
All the Bengali sweets here are tasty .The rolls are consistent as well
Loved even the simple Maggi variants
Nice place with exciting place and decent service! Quite offbeat, but a fun place to be fr sure...
Awesome ....simply awesome food. Recommend to meet Suresh R when there .... amazing hospitality
Pretty chilled place to sit around with friends. The rolls are worth it. What stands out is their Maggi.

Small yet stylish ambience
Simple and Awesome . Good customer service experience
Classy Ambience , Aunthetic Bonga adda place
And literally life saving Ginger tea... :p
We almost eat daily here, I love Bun Omelet + Masala Chai, must try !
Kitchen of Joyis a home delivery restaurant that 1 discovered on Swiggy .Fish curry is good , chicken was fresh but not a Bengali preparation , Rice quality need to be improved a lot .The alu paratha was evenly stuffed and big in size and I felt it । was better than the ones we get at the punjabi restaurants in bengaluru even . The gravy though was really good and tasted well with the luchis that were cooked to perfection .

Food and Frames hanging here almost takes back you to the streets of Kolkata. Have been here so many times whenever I have a craving for fish. Rasagullas here are the best, definitely made with a heart of joy.
Is it shifted to a new address from vignan Nagar? Yesterday I went I saw boards are removed and closed. The restaurant was providing excellent Bengali cuisine. Please mention the new address please.
Good plc for Bengali food,
chicken tadka is amazing ,
Must try the fish items
Have been there couple of time,
Mostly ordered home delivery .
Egg Mughlai paratha is good.
keep it up.
Tasty and homely bengali food. Have ordered their maxi fish thali and it turned out to be good everytime. They even served sheem alu curry with the thali which was a surprise. Would be in my frequent list.
Great place to have homely Bengali food.. tried their egg tarka and maxi fish thali.. taste is very much like Kolkata food..and also very reasonably priced
Craving for the Calcutta food, we visited here on the Bengali New year.
We had a thali each that consisted of plain basmati rice, the old school Dal, sukto, luchi and aloo Dom and kosha murgi.
The meal ended with rosogolla and chutney.
Overall it's been a nice experience. Pocket pinch was 550 per thali which was a little high I feel.
But considering that we bengalis get such amazing food here, will surely visit again.
This place brings delight for bengalis who love their food cooked in Bengali style.. we started our Bengali new year visiting this place and we tried out chicken thali which had koraishutir kochuri to aloordum, sukto was a delight in the menu and ofcourse with steaming hot beguni, we had dal and along with that white basmati rice with appropriate bengali style chicken curry ( kosha chicken), there was fish chop on the platter and to end the Bengali sumptuous meal was rossogolla and chatni, also they served mishti doi.. overall it was a pleasant experience tasting the dishes
There was many more in the menu, and one can visit this place with friends and family as it has a comfortable ambience with a lot of Bengal decor in its interior..
From food to ambience all are superb. Kitchen of Joy is kind of little KOLKATA for Bengali like me.
Dishes we tried, chai (regular and lemon tea); fish chop;mutton moghlai; egg mutton keema roll; mutton biriyani. All of these were mouthwatering.
Quality of food- 5star (superb)
Quantity of food- sufficient
Ambience- little KOLKATA for me. Hats off to the creative team.
Management- very organized and customer focused.
Please keep up your good work. Would love to visit again to try other bengali dishes.
Great place for Bengali food. If you are South Indian and has a desire to enjoy all kinds of taste or a Bengali food lover then this restaurant is a must visit. This is a small but good looking restaurant with artefacts and pictures that will remind you of Kolkata. Very cost effective menu and tasty food. Must visit if you are a Bengali or Bengali food lover others no harm in trying once. When I can enjoy being a South Indian I think others will love too. Note - if you are not familiar with names of the food items ask steward

visited this restaurant with my parents, they serve really tasty authentic Bengali food. and price is also very reasonable.Though the ambiance was not that great, not best for fine dining experience, but good for Bengali people who are looking for Kolkata style food.A must visit.
Been to this place a few times now. It's my go to place for comfort food (that's Bengali food for me). Really love the decor here. The food tastes great. My fav, Luchi-Mutton Kasha is to die for. It's no Golbari (calcuttans will understand what I am saying), but it's one of the best Mutton Kasha you will get in Bengaluru. The price is on the costlier side, but still within what I am willing to spend for some authentic Bengali food.

For bangali cravings. A tip : while the bengali food is quite good, it pays to check out their Chinese, made kolkata/Tangra style. Oh and the Biryani is good too. May not be for People not used to bengali style eating, though.
This place serves Bengali dishes. The interior is decorated with a hand pulled rickshaw, photographs of Kolkata and each of them will tell you a story of Kolkata now and then. Basically, this a small theme restaurant to portray the City of Joy. From the menu side, I found it bit pricey affair with comparison to taste and freshness of food. In my opinion, One can find lot of Authentic Bengali restaurant with good taste and pocket friendly menu. The freshness of food is decided with the capacity, running orders, crowd of the restaurant and of course innovation on food. Kosha Mangsho left me disappointed.
Kitchen of Joy is a home delivery restaurant that I discovered on Swiggy. I was having a craving for soft luchis and mutton kasha, a spicy mutton dish with a fiery gravy that is absolutely not meant for the faint hearted.
A plate of the same comes with 5 luchis (puris) and two pieces of mutton at around 220 bucks which along with delivery and packaging charges comes upto a total of 280. Though the luchis were really soft, I did feel like the mutton could have been a little more spicy with a little less oil that was floating atop the gravy. The gravy though was really good and tasted well with the luchis that were cooked to perfection. Leaving aside the little glitch mentioned, the food really made me consider ordering a second time and try out their other dishes.
If you are a Bengali and are craving authentic Bengali cuisine, KOJ is one of the better joints to try out in the area.
Creative decor and authentic Bengali home food make this place special. Apart from pure Bengali cuisine one can get bengalees favorite dishes too, some of the combos like fried rice chilli chicken, luchi aloo dum and mutton kasha, chicken cutlet are well prepared here. Sweets if available are very good too
I feel it is a very underrated restaurant and deserves much more than a 3.4 overall. The food has the distinctly Bengali feel which takes you back to the city of joy as a Kolkatan. But, more than that it is the kind of food which is enjoyed by both my North and South Indian friends alike without prejudice. Suddenly that Hyderabadi or Donne Biriyani for someone who hasn’t had the real type of biriyani is replaced by The Biriyani, which you get only in Kolkata and the likes of Zeeshan or Alishan serve in Bangalore, that smell, the soft yellow aloo and the piece of egg.
Great food, pure Bengali, nice staff, reasonably priced, very well decorated ambience
Definitely a great place to have dinner..
They even changed my order and made it spicy as per my wish.kudos!
Very good Bengali food. Prices are reasonable and ambience is really nice. Though it has good options for vegetarians but primarily for non veg lovers. Benn there with friends and family and all loved this restaurant. Worth a try.
Good food with Good amenities along with mouth licking Bengali and Chinese foods.
It's a place where you can enjoy with ur family and friends and have good smacky foods of Kolkata street and also never the less it's the Bengali sweets "Roshogolla" for all-time.
I would love to visit this place again and again.
Egg chicken Mughlai parota is awesome. I would recommend . Chicken kosha and fulka from this place is perfectly Bengali style. Overall a good option. Quality of the food is very good. The only thing is it is very slow in Service.
On recommendation of my Bengali friend thought of trying this restaurant for dinner. But unfortunately the recommended dish ke Biryani was not available(only available on weekends)
Nevertheless ordered chicken masala and my favourite rosogulla. Food was delivered 02 hours late but didn't complained as it was raining cats and dogs. Chicken was ok and rating could be average but rosogulla earned the points. Though for a guy who has enough of North and Bengali cuisine it was ok ok. I would like to try Biryani next time.

Ambience: 👍
I am not a Bengali to verify the authenticity of the restraunt, but the food was realy yummy and the ambiance is excellent. The restraunt was a pleasant surprise in this area. You get a real feel of Kolkata with all the posters and a freaking original rickshaw in the middle of the hall.
Sunday afternoon is always special. When we stepped inside this joint it brought some broken pieces of my city. Yes, the classy decor will take u back to Kolkata for a moment. Traditional bengali homely food will fill your mind and heart with emotions. Mutton kosha and the Biriyani was beyond this world. Mishti doi and gorom rosogolla will be the reason for me to explore this place again and again. A much recommended for every bong who now belongs to Bangalore :)
Tucked away on a super busy road connecting to Kagdasspura, its a cosy, yet clean place for bengali food lovers. I could taste only Chicken Biryani here and it turned out to be really awsome. While i was floored by the decor, I was completely satisfied with the food. The biryani had the perfect aroma, the grain and chicken were cooked to perfection and all the spices superbly added to the aroma, taste and the magic that one can get only from a delicious Biryani. :) The only reason, I am holding myself from giving them the last star is because of the service and time taken for delivery. All in all, I had a good experience food-wise and am definitely going back for more!

A popular bong food joint in Vignan Nagar. Authentic taste of Bengali cuisines can be well appreciated here. Ambience resembles old Calcutta with posters of yellow taxis to Satyajit Ray to popular bong conversations to maa Durga. The most unique out of the lot is the hand pulled rickshaw. As I stay nearby, I had been there quiet a number of times. I would recommend chops, cutlets, chingri macher malai curry, Bhetki paturi, Luchi-alu dum, kosha mangsho, Maxi Veg thali and the Biryani. Never had any disappointment with the food. So if you are a Mach( fish), Mishti(sweets)and Doi( sweet curd) fan, this is the right place for your taste buds.

One of the best Bengali restaurants in Bangalore. Scores on all aspects including food, ambience and service. The maxi veg thali, special Bengali veg thali, fish fry, fish curry were really good. Great place for a sumptuous weekend lunch!
Soulful.
We ordered fish chop, egg devil and begun baja for starters. Perfect !!!
I couldn't get enough of the shorshe mach, its not very hot as the authentic shorshe but still well made. The biryanis are authentic and tasty (with the standard aloo :D ... ) Lassi perfect, rohu fry perfect . And oh the Roshgollas are to die for.
The review is based on home delivery, so won't rate ambience , as I haven't been to the place.
Ordered Sorse machh , machher jhol and baigan bhaja. Taste of baigan bhaja was good. The gravy of shorshe machh was thick and good . Machhar jhol was little disappointing for me, though its mentioned as Jhol , but its red colored water with some flavor of masala, Though Jhol means watery itself , but little thickness would have made the dish tastier . The quality of fish was not good as it was too hard.
Little expensive to the quantity served. But will try thali and expect to be better next time.

Awesome bengali food junction in my neighbourhood! Relatively cheap with variety of bong options. To add to it the decorations are done keeping in mind the flavour of calcutta. What else do you need?
The food is amazing...I loved the veg maxi thali.... sumptuous enough and loved the ambiance as well. Definitely recommend for a casual dinner
They say hindi chini bhai bhai...bu in original its always bangla odia bhai bhai..
Bengali cuisine has so much of similarities with Odia cuisine that any odia always feels like at home at a bangla restaurant. The place we are talking of here is the bigger outlet of Kitchen of joy, the locality is exactly in between kaggadaspura and Vignan nagar and only half a km from my place. Even though I stayed quite close to this place but never got the opportunity to try out till last week. And in a span of 6 days I have visited them twice. The first outing was a spectacular one but sadly the second was pretty average.
This small and quaint outlet has a got an old fashioned, old town feeling of the streets of kolkata and that of a bangla restaurant. The sweet, simple and colorful interiors with lots of quirky posters from the lanes of kolkata makes u feel like u are standing in one of the localities of kolkata. There is one rickshaw at the entrance to the place which is iconic to kolkata again. The seating and furniture are quite basic and so is the single paper menu printed on both sides.
Coming to the food , was quite impressed with the vegetarian options here but sadly the non vegetarian platter kinda dissapointed me. For the first outing we had luchi alu dum, alu paratha and rotis served with dal tarka. The alu paratha was evenly stuffed and big in size and I felt it was better than the ones we get at the punjabi restaurants in bengaluru even. The fluffy luchis were perfect in every sense though not dried to take out the extra oil, but that's the way we like it and it was the best paring with the yummy alu dum. The dal tarka being a common food across the bengal and orissa dhabas is another sure shot try at this place.
For the second outing we had a chicken affair by ordering the authentic to Bengal mughlai chicken paratha and the chicken biryani made in bengali way and the luchi with chicken kossa. The mughlai paratha is the best example of the exotic mughlai influence on bengali cuisine and has always been my favorite fast food since childhood. The usual paratha stuffed with minced meat and fortified in egg and fried in oil. Though tasty but it was not perfect with the minced chicken being little chewy and the paratha would break out to leak the fillings. The chicken biryani was a disaster and we simply hated why we ordered that. There was no flavour in the biryani and the chicken pieces were equally bad and felt like not perfectly cooked along with the rice. The only good thing about the biryani was the boiled egg and whole potato. After the disastrous biryani, I was happy to see the lucchi and chicken kossa but again the kossa proved to be the culprit. It was sweet in taste with lots of fried onions. It was not the way kossa is made and was more of like chicken fried in onions and some sweet sauce. For desserts we had mishti doi and langcha, a typical bengali sweet and can be seen as the longer cylindrical version of gulab jamoon. The mishty doi was too sweet and I felt it was not prepared by the usual process, it felt so artificial. The langcha was good in taste and was a relief to the taste buds after the very average dinner.
The cost is very nominal with price for two within 500 if going for a heavy dinner. The service is quick and they offer sweet paans along with the bill which is quite a nice gesture towards the customers. Maybe I will repeat the place but strictly for the simple vegetarian options. Will rate somewhere close to 3.5 only coz of the simple, not expensive and delicious vegetarian food.
I love this restaurant....first of all the ambience, feel like any of the Kolkata restaurants. Now food..ok, I went there on "Poila Boishakh" and ordered there special thali...it was just awsm... specially their 'Kancha Lanka diye Murgir jhol'..just fatafati.. I also taste their Mutton and Chicken Biriyani..both were good..a perfect destination for Bengali food lovers..!!
Ambience and decoration a must see. Taste of food pretty good. I liked the special bengali dish called Shukto then dal, mutton and fish curry ( pabda machher jhol ).
This is a perfect place for genuine Bengali cuisine. The ambience is great. The entire restaurant has been made on the theme of Kolkata. Overall, food and service was very good. I visit this place often and highly recommend to people wanting to try out Bengali cuisine.
A very good ambiance with authentic bengali food. staffs are good. the owner is a down to earth guy. Biryani is my favorite. I keep on visiting this place and will continue to do so.
Quite descent place to have authentic Bengali food. We had ordered veg and fish thali since it was dinner time and they serve all the snacks such as Mughlai, veg cutlet etc during evening time only. Overall nice place to try with good looking ambience. Would recommend.
A Bengali can feel alive in thia place. From ambience to food, taste to style of cooking, everything is pure Bengali. Only problem is the location. You really need a Google map to find this one. I felt food quantity is little bit less. Fish Kalia, Misti Doi and Veg Pulao were awesome. I will surely visit again.
Okay type place, not many choices are available, light weight food. I tried Biriyani, which got hint of Kolkata Biriyani style. Fish curry is good, chicken was fresh but not a Bengali preparation. Rice quality need to be improved a lot.
Ordered for home delivery like I always do. Food is nice.. especially chicken kosha.
Maacher jhol (fish curry) was ok.. they deliver on time as well which means 40-45 minutes..
The service is bad and they did not have most of the things on their menu. A Bengali cuisine restaurant not having sweets is a serious thing. Being from Calcutta, I had visited this place to bring back the old memories from the City Of Joy - the ambience did make a great impact ; the rickshaw, guitar, clay models, posters all reminded me of my city! The food was okish! I had ordered rohu fish thali with bhath, which was perfect for me. Also, the luchi alur dom was decent. Icing on the cake was they had given a mitha pan at the end of the meal.
This place has to improve their service as well as bring a lot of things on their menu to the plates of the customers so that people can enjoy real Calcutta food. I can visit this place again just for the food.
I have been to this place 2 months back,we ordered simple rice, dal and fish kaliya and mishti doi.....mishti doi is horrible ....service is pretty slow and ambience is ok ok type.
As you enter Kitchen of Joy, you are greeted with Bangla film songs from the 70's and 80's era...the walls and the decor...with the nostalgic feel of your childhood in Kolkata...the scenes from Nayak, Pather Panchali, Apur Sansar, Feluda...the rickshaw with the ektara...the batik table cloth...the rack of bangla books...RN Tagore to Suchitra Bhattacharya... Now I tell you, if you are a true Bengali like me...this place is sure gonna take you back home at the very first footstep you keep inside. About the food- Just out of your kitchen back in Kolkata home...that said..no more explanations needed I guess. Though we could'nt have the fish fry as they were out of stock. Save that, if you are a Bengali, and living in Bangalore, and crave for home, hit on this place, and be assured to feel at Home! :)
The first thing that u see as u enter this place is the handpulled ricksha in the middle of the room along with movie posters on the wall.
Yes, it does give u that Kolkata-wala feeling.
We ordered the chicken cutlet (I have been craving for this for so long). Derved along with the oh-i-have-missed-it-so-much Kasundi! Crispy, hot and tasty, it does take u back to the streets if Kolkata.
The mutton meal served with moong daal, jhuri aloo bhaja and big pieces of mutton kosha is more than enough for one person.
Food is served hot, authentic flavours and satisfying. Yet to taste their veg section.
Have been ordering from here often now.
Good place, good food.
We visited this outlet yesterday for lunch. The ambiance was nice which brings out the essence of Kolkata. The staffs were attentive and courteous.
Among the dishes we had, Fish chop, Maacher Kaalia and Sorshe maach was really good. Rasogolla was amazing.
Apart from these, we felt, Mutton Kosha could have been a little spicier and quality of rice could have been better.
Overall it is a nice affordable Bengali restaurant, worth a re-visit.
Love the food here, must say the balance in quality. Not much oil, looks healthy. Ambience could be improved though. But at the affordable rate, the food here looks to be bargain, specially the fish items..... Bachelors, you can have MACH-BHAAT dinner here 7 days a week without getting bored...
The ambience of the restaurant totally gives you the feeling of Bengal, the moment you enter. You will get all the Bengali food Items in the Menu. It seems to be an authentic Bengali Place. I would suggest all Bengal Food lovers to visit this place atleast once.
We gave following order:
1. Chicken Cutlet
2. Luchi Chicken Combo
3. Phulka Chicken Tadka
Cutlet was mouth watering. Luchi Chicken has 5 bhature, it was of the size of poori. Chicken sukha was onion based and good in taste.
Phulka Chicken Combo wasn't our good choice. It had 4 chapattis and chicken gravy. Gravy was green moong daal based & it was completely giving the taste of daal...Chicken had no taste. All the gravies were cooked in mustard oil.
I would give 3.5 Stars.
You get the feel of kolkata at just entering the place. From the tanga to the pics of ambi hung on the wall, it screams KOLKATA. Coming to the food,I liked specially the mustard fish. The machor jhol or standard fish curry was a bit low on taste. The chicken gravy was excellent though n the luchi's were great. The mitha pan after food was satisfying n even after having so much I was not feeling heavy. so anyone who has a craving for good bengali food, make a visit but be careful as it does not have its own parking place
I went to this restaurant for the 1st time today, and I loved the food and hospitality. Shukto was fabulous. The owner inquires with all customers if they enjoyed the food, which is very nice of her. Overall a great experience.
I honestly wanted to go soft with my review for this place. For all the efforts they have taken to make a small place like this look more tasteful, one should give credit. They have tried hard to bring in some character to the place, work with a theme, add some flavor of Kolkata to this Bengali joint. They haven't completely failed. The only annoying thing about the restaurant is the smell. Seems like the kitchen exhales into the dining space.
The food is decent. The egg plant fry was the best of the lot. Fish felt slightly overcooked, though the mustard gravy with it was delicious. Will definitely go back to try their other dishes.
Service was just hopeless, much like any other place of its kind. However I'm guessing that if you are a Bengali, you may find it easier to communicate with the waiters. The manager or owner at the counter seemed nice and helpful, suggesting what we should or shouldn't try.
The price felt quiet reasonable, not very taxing on your wallet.
Bored of the regular food , go and try out kitchen of joy ... Decent food with a nice feel of Bengali culture added with the books and paintings
This is my go-to place for my bengali gastronomic cravings. The food is moderately rich and appeases my taste buds. I love their thalis/combos. The owner is very cordial and the ambiance is really really lovely. The mishti doi is a must have as well as the khichdi with begun bhaaja. This place is definitely a "Kitchen of Joy" !!
From Kolkata to Bangalore!
That's what the cash counter says, which is designed in shape of a traditional tram-train of Bengal.
Well there are certain places where the ambience around the dining table makes up your day. This place is certainly one of them.
The location of the restaurant is not so posh but it changes as soon as you enter the place. A particular dinning table is attached to the famous "hath-gaadi" of Kolkata. Lighting is just perfect and Prints on the walls say everything about West Bengal in form of pictures, writings, old newspaper cut-outs and even a hawwtt Hawaiian guitar ( you can check the photo for that) .
While waiting for your order to arrive, you can go to Kolkata and come back! :-D
Its not the bad service but a very select collection of books representing the ethos of the city. You will find Gitanjali from Rabindra Nath Tagore, then books on the famous filmmaker Satyajit Ray and of course a biopic on the prince of Bengal, DADA!!!
Apart from these you will also find Bhagvad-Gita and also a lots of options on Bengali magazines and even comics like champak for the kids.
Now coming to the most important part. FOOD!
Trust me you won't get many places that give such good quality home made food. Fulka's are the best choice to go with both Veg and Non-Veg curries. Vegans need not worry much as this place offers equally good Veg food. As for the Bengali's, they need not worry at all. Just enjoy the place.
Service is simply too good, you order extra roti or luchi ( Bhatura ) and it shall arrive in no time.
Guys, such places are hard to find and I was lucky to have stopped by it. Please make a visit and I am sure it won't disappoint you.
Very good bengali food.
All the chicken items were good.
Sukhto was bad.
Service a bit slow.
Good place for North Indian and Bengali food.
Recommended :egg pakoda, chicken lollipop, mache jhol and chicken bharta
Average: chilli chicken, gulab jamun
Not recommended : shukto and lassi.
Being a bengali, i keep looking out for places serving bengali food. I had been to this place many a times and have found the food good. Though the food could have been a lot lot better, but i found the food fresh and simple. good to go in anytime , when you are too hungry and want a good place to eat.. ;) the service and part of ambiance is good.
In mood for a typically bengali food that is not cooked at home and something that matches up to the taste that reminds of the food back home? I was in a similar situation on a Saturday afternoon. I had already been to Kitchen of Joy in Indiranagar and thought of trying out their other joint this time. I had the Special Veg Thali that serves luchi, alur dom, rice, dal, paanch meshali and a curry with a sweet and chatni and papad. I could have not asked for anything more.
And this time on the Bengali New Year, again, went to try their special Thali which had served Chhanar dalna along with other delicious stuff. Definitely a good place to eat and enjoy a Bengali platter and enjoy the bonus of paying a reasonable price.
This is a nice restaurant though located in a place difficult to trace easily. Lies in 2nd floor with ATM in ground floor near BEML layout, infact near Kaggadaspura. The food is cheapest and best in taste. The service is superb. Never felt like having to remind them to get me items.
When they say they need 10 min to serve, they mean 10 min, which is unique thing I found among restaurants. They usually serve all food at a time, so no need to wait for starter to end and main course to arrive. The ambience is great inside the restaurant with Kolkata themes, a cart, a guitar arranged neatly. The place is not very spacious, max 40-50 people can have dinner at a time. Personally I found the management very much people friendly. They helped us in getting a table for 6 on packed Bengali New Year Day. Mr Suresh has personally made sure that his waiters work fast. The waiters are cheerful.
The food is tasty beyond comparision, completely tastes like home made food, with less oil and masala. They prepare special Thalis which are usually good value for money. My entire family is happy that we found a favorite dining place in bangalore which meets our pocket and appetite.
They offer catering as well, looking forward to contact them for annaprasan of my child.
Really liked the food there. They provide authentic bengali food. Specially the mutton and prawns are good. Totally cost effective. The only downside is this place is a little stuffy, could have better ventilation.
Kolkata Kitchen is the place to go for perfect Bengali mutton kosha. The mutton is perfectly cooked and comes with thick gravy, aloo. It goes best with white rice.
We used to order mutton kosha and misti doi regularly from here when we lived near BEML gate. Now we have moved to BG Road but we still go to Kolkata Kitchen if we are nearby.
Kitchen of Joy .. is the first place I go , if I am not cooking at home & in the mood of having Bengali.
Being a bong, we get bengali food at home, and hence if we step out , its usually not for Bengali food.
But in case it is - this is the first choice.
I have known this place since the first day - I stepped in this neighbourhood (in 2010)
The owner Sonali Di is a perfect hostess.
The food is so home like to me - I dont want to go anywhere else for Bengali food.
On Special occasions they alter their menu - have food festival
Don't miss out the "shukto" here
An absolute value for money !
you can also pickup bengali books - magazines - customized gifts & cups.
The ambience is very cozy & relaxing.
Lovely Kolkata food on kaggadasapura. Yeah it may not match the taste of bhojori manna but yes in this area they are a good treat. The machor jol and chicken 🐔 Joshua are a must try here. The phulkas are really made fresh and served hot. A good quick snack would be a chicken pakoda to try. Overall you will have a satisfied meal.
Great place for a Bengali treat. Even the chinese seems fine because of the reasonable prices. Combos and the thalis are a must try and the starters are really close to an experience of typical Kolkata street food.
Good food and service. Nice ambience :)
Loved this place only for one reason. It's called TASTE, true authentic Bengali flavor in all of our dishes. I find one of the best Bengali restaurants across Bangalore.
Give it a try and do connect me over insta @missiashu for all eye soothing pics.
If you are out from Kolkata and want to have begali dishes in Bangalore then you need to Visit kitchen of joy. Quality & taste are truly good. Try with anything starters, main course or desserts everything is perfect. Price is little high but for the taste you can pay.
You get tasty bengali cuisines, though the prices are bit on the higher side, especially given many new alternatives becoming available on online food delivery apps. The quality and taste remains unmatched and has been consistent over the years. The dal-khichadi on Saturdays is something worth trying. The interiors effuse a Kolkata touch with a knack of humour. The place is usually not crowded and the staff is well-behaved.
Pros: Nice place to have food. You'll get a tasty food, cooked and served neatly. Value for money. Good ambience. Nice service. Tasty sweets too!
Cons: might feel the space is little (if you come with your gang of friends or bunch of family). Group of 4-5 still can have nice time. :)
Best place to have Bengali food
Good food. Nice ambience.
Nicely decorated with items depicting Bengal. About food-had maxi veg thali -panch meshali was the best, rasgulla and chutney were delicious as well, the dishes had homemade flavour. Overall a good one.
Feels like taste of home. Betki fry, Aloo dum and luchi is must try. You may order home delivery from online sites or by directly calling them. Service is quick. The place gives you a feel of Kolkata. The place is decorated with wall papers displaying some famous places in Kolkata. There is a table which is attached to "haath rickshaw".
Good Bengali meals and dishes. Good choices too. Difficult to sit and eat there if you are driving yourself as there's no parking around that place.
A small restaurant with an ambience that will give you the feeling of being in Kolkata. Nice bengali cuisine with supporting north indian style menu. Must visit place for bengali's and other curious folks.
Lovely ambience and you can get authentic Kolkata Bengali thalis here! We had chicken mughlai paratha and it was absolutely delicious!👌
