i like bbq nation and absolute bbq way too much.so whenever I go for a buffet I end up comparing.
This place is quite different with great ambience where they prepare your food in front of u(ofcorse few things only)
The chef keeps u engaged with all the magic tricks and the talking..went in a group so it turned out to be pretty fun.
They have variety and food is nice(not like wow amazing) but worth it.
Fish lovers u are gonna love the fish tikka.
Interesting concept.
Should try for a different dining experience.
Mostly recommend for people going in a group...

Hakka noodles is a must try here.. they make your food on your table and also entertain you while making food... in starter we ordered some paneer and it was worth..

We had the buffet. The starters were delicious. The fish items were remarkable. The salad was different and refreshing. The main course was cooked by the chef on the table and was good.
They dont serve desserts except ice cream.
Amazing !! We were always fond of Chinese and have an inclination towards Korean cuisine but never thought Japanese (without Sushi) would also be an absolute delight.
This restaurant doesn't only give you the product but also knows how to provide the experience and customer engagement. Your main course is actually made in front of you and on the same table where you are seated and with food you also get to learn some culinary and magic tricks. Perhaps you need to visit atleast once to believe what I have written above.
We had taken Prawn Satay, Chicken Yaka tori, Garlic Butter Lemon chicken and Udon (wheat) noodles. All of these were fantastic. At the same time I believe that Kitchen on the Table (recently name changed to Teburu) is for a niche customer base who have the taste buds for Pan Asian cuisine. Not for everyone definitely but certainly for those who loves to experiment with food.
Awesome food with good ambiance staff were very nice and suggested right food to order first timers and there specialty. Perfect place for celebrations 🎉 . Only concern is they don’t have there own car parking ..

Went in for family dinner here and the place is easily located.. The restaurant is on the top floor and they also have an option of outdoor seating that’s available..
Ambience- the place was dimly lit and the place is called “Kitchen on table” because they have a literal setup of a kitchen in the table however there are only three such tables and those with the maximum number of people get them.. we were a group of 12 so we got them..
Food- The sous chef June himself made dinner for us and he was very friendly and jovial to all of us and did some amazing tricks on the table... As we were 12 I don’t quite remember all that we ordered however I remember most of them-
Sweet corn soup - this was the usual and was served steaming hot..
Chilli prawns- the prawns were crispy and cooked to perfection
Tofu- this was but soggy however tasted good
Egg fried rice- this was prepared live in the table and this tasted great.. not very dry but it was cooked to the right amount
Chicken hakka noodles- this was also prepared live and was spicy with the right amount of spices that had gone in and tasted good
Thai green curry- not a big fan of this dish but tasted okish..!
Overall it was of a very different experience than the usual restaurants with just mear eating part.. It was actually fun to watch the dishes prepared live and the chef June did a applaudable job..
Kalyan Nagar needed this kind of a restaurant very much. It was long due and much welcome. Personally liked the menu very much and the taste is great. What makes it even better is that it is very well priced. The ambience is nice and the live counter adds to the ambience. It is a must try restaurant.
It's fun to eat here. Mock veggie in garlic butter as a starter was good. We had yasai soup. It was veg clear soup but the best one I have ever had. We ordered few items in main course. Though the taste was average it was the overall experience, where chefs cook on the table, which made our day. It's fun to interact with the chef.

As the name... Its actually Kitchen on the table. Chef will prepare the dish in your table only and will keep you entertained all the time. A great ambiance to enjoy. They have an outdoor seating also where you can enjoy the Bangalore weather.
Ambiance(5/5): When we were on the way we thought it will be a normal restaurant. BUT NOoo.. it was way beautiful than we thought. We were amazed by seeing the chefs preparing the dishes on the table itself. This thing is not available on all the tables, so if you want you can have a normal table also where you can order normally. Consider yourself lucky if you get chef June.
Food(4/5): I do not remember exactly the name of dishes but it included some chicken item, some prawns and noodles. Prawns were super delicious but chicken and noodles were just normal. It was not bad but not very delicious either to write about them. They were just good.
Service(4/5): Staff was very friendly, service was fast and the chef was very jovial. Chef will keep you entertained until your food is served, may be after that also ;-)
Price(4/5): I find the place little overpriced. So if your pocket is little tight i will not recommend this place to you.
Overall visit this place for great ambiance, friendly chef/staff and if you can afford a small hole in your pocket.
Great ambience and concept of live cooking right in front of you. I tried the buffet with unlimited servings. The theatrics were wonderfully done however the food was not as good as the theatrics. It's a good place to go for a change and from the regular restaurants. The buffet menu was ordinary. The sushi was good.

Excellent food, not very spicy. The ambience and the concept of kitchen on table is very different and a must go. There was an unlimited new year special menu when we went which made the dinner exquisite. The chef did some nice tricks with eggs and knives - quite enterprising
Kalyan Nagar, turning out as the second Indiranagar for North Bangaloreans with regards to food. This building has three outlets and thought to try out all three but got stuck here as the concept was kinda new and interesting and finally we ended up having our meal here.
KOT offers both Ala Carte and Buffet ... we opted for the buffet

Crumb fried fish - Deep fried fish with bread crumbs
Prawns Tempura - Beautifully presented dish - deep fried in tempura batter

The chefs makes your Main course interesting by the way he prepares .. He prepared Egg Fried rice, noodles, grilled chicken/fish/prawns.
The buffet is quite filling and they keep on getting fish chicken again and again.

Nice ambience with a very nice concept of preparing the food in front of you.. Dared to try this restaurant due to its Zomato rating otherwise choosing a restaurant in Kalyan Nagar is way too tough as per my capacity.
Starting with Yasai Soup, it was basically a veg clear soup and it had all veggies in it and tasted good, no doubt.
Then ordered Indo Prawns after going through its Zomato reviews but did not like it that much because the taste did not appeal to me. Might be its again an overhyped dish. Had to take help of the Mayo sauce served on the table by default, to gulp it down, but not to forget, the prawns were perfectly cooked. Anyone can try it on their own risk ofcourse ;)
Coming to my next order which was Lemon Grass Chicken. It was too tender and succulent. Liked the taste.A must try for non vegetarians.
The last of the lot was simple Egg Hakka Noodles. The chef prepared it in front of us using all his acquired culinary techniques and skills and divided it amongst three of us. It had the exact amount of salt and spices and the chef turned simple Egg Hakka Noodles to Amazing Egg Hakka Noodles. Loved that experience overall.
The attendants were pretty jovial and cordial. If not every week, I would recommend atleast head to this restaurant once while you visit Kalyan Nagar.

Choosed this place for our team lunch, As soon as we entered, we were the first one to be seen in the hotel.Pre-booked for buffet,Initial starters even though they were calling it as BBQ but we could figure it out as deep fried and then grilled, which is not expected, But when we moved onto the live kitchen, thats where the total taste of the hotel. Chef is very skilled. and very humble to prepare according to each ones taste. All green veggies with meat ( a different) awesome, GOOD place to wakeup taste buds.
Starting with the ambience, it is quite good with both outdoor and indoor options.. u have live kitchen attached to few tables where they cook in front of you and serve u hot food n your plate.. The food is quite tasty and since i don’t like chilli flakes or too spicy food it was well taken care of.. Quantity of food however is quite less as compared to the price they are charging.. But considering the taste and over enthusiastic staff i would go here again to try the many option of delicacies they have in their menu..

Kalyan Nagar, being the Koramangala for North Bangaloreans when it comes to food, have lot of restaurant options for a foodie. Still the number of Buffets are limited here. Only common names like BBQ Nation, Mainland China, Sigree Global etc. Being close to office location & looking for a buffet place landed me in Kitchen On The Table.
It is a new restaurant which is opened just 4 months back & is their second branch after HSR layout one. Its on the third floor of building, so the open balcony tables offers a good view of the long road stretch.
We went on a weekday lunch. To my surprise, the whole place was empty when we reached & when we left too. KoT offers Japanese & Pan asian cuisine in Ala Carte & Buffet.
They have set 3 tables around cooking pans where 8 people can be seated around each. The starters were served from kitchen directly & most of them were fried varieties & Bbqed ones. The presentation of each dishes were really attractive considering a buffet place.

The main course is an experience at this place - not for the dishes, but for the way they are prepared in front of you. You can choose dish from the long menu & it will be prepared right infront of you according to your directions for the spice level & sauces. The chef pulls out some tricks which kids will enjoy for sure. He had prepared Egg Fried rice, noodles, grilled chicken/fish/prawns. Grilled ones were good, but egg fried rice reminded me of street chinese food in mumbai.
One thing to be noted is that, they serve Japanese cuisine - so never expect the spice levels as of Indian spicy level. In fact they do not have spicy sauces in case if you ask them to make it spicy also.
One more thing to be noted when going for Buffet is the lack of vegetarian variants in buffet. This need to be improved.
Location: Near to Rasta Cafe in Kalyan Nagar. But no wallet parking - be prepared to find own parking on the main road. KoT needs to find some solution here
Ambience: Nice. Open balcony seats are available.
Seating arrangement: a little congested around the cooking pan. Chair height need to be raised for better ergonomics.
Service: good
Value for Money: A little high considering the buffet price as 899/- + taxes. Ala carte is fairly priced

Completely satisfied with their amazing live kitchen preparation style and freshness of food. We ordered Salmon, Tuna & Red Snapper Sashimi, California Maki, Spicy Salmon Maki, Chilly Prawns and Udon Noodles with chicken & egg. Each of the items had their own distinct flavour and taste which enticed our taste buds thoroughly.
We even ordered mocktails (Sherley Temple & Virgin Mojito) which were nicely done.
Overall a very satisfying experience and KOT ..we will be back soon to satisfy our cravings for Japanese cuisine.

We had an amazing dinner with theatrics and delicious food at Kitchen on table. The chef was experienced and put on a great show of making our main course at our table. We decided to have veg today, the Japanese fried rice was superb, the Hakka noodles were very close to the ones we had had in Macau and the tom yum was yum. I can’t wait to go back and try prawn and the rest.

Great place to try out Japanese food .. Sushi is delightful and very tasty .. But everything taste almost the same .. And nothing is spicy even if we order for extra spicy .. They prepare everything except sushi and some starters right in front of our table .. The most disappointing was welcome drink as everyone is served with Tropicana.. Good for one time visit but prices are too high for the quantity they serve ..

Kitchen on Table is no doubt a great place for thai, japanese, asian food lovers. Great ambiance, great service and amazing food. We tried their chilli basil fish, schezwan spicy chicken, prawn fried rice which was made on the Table itself by the chef and thai chicken red curry. All the dishes are highly recommended. Please do try it. Would love to visit again.

I had no idea this place was here and what a remarkable experience it was! The head chef came by the table to visit multiple times, the food was amazing and the staff was friendly. Plan to spend about 1000RS per person for the unlimited portion and go there HUNGRY!

Amazing food and brilliant service. Went for the buffet during my visit and the food was just spot on with each dish bursting with flavour. From the appetisers to the main course and desert, each dish presented a unique taste. The head chef there Mr June, really knows how to take care of and entertain his customers. Kitchen on table definitely deserves a visit. Just brilliant.

Had a warm welcome, Being a Thursday late night the place was quite and relaxing ( I actually drove all the way from Jayanagar which took me 1 hr ) with good music playing in the background .
And then came CHEF JUNE who first welcomed us and first took care to thoroughly clean the cooking table as we informed him that we were vegetarians. The dishes he started rolling out were delicious, he showed us the egg balancing trick and also a few card tricks while we were having the delicious meal , CHEF JUNE also explained in detail the ingredients he was using in making the dishes and also the health benefits- he really enjoys cooking. Thank you chef .

Was recommended to me by my friend, i had visited for lunch ,the ambience was really good and I saw the menu felt it was overpriced initially for unlimited but when I started getting starters and later main course it proved it was worth all the penny,also apart from that I ordered chilli basil fish which was very delicious.The seafood starters specially different types of prawns was yum.definetly place to visit again.
One of a kind restaurant in Bangalore. Had a good experience here. The chefs are friendly and the food menu is great especially for a non vegetarian. There are just too many good dishes to chose from. The buffet was great. I particularly liked the salad they served UN the buffet. However they should improve their vegetarian food menu. Absolutely loved the food here. The chef was extremely skilled and everything was made right at our table. Everything has a first time so this was my first Teppanyaki experience.. daily new at kalyannagar I believe s we are the only people in the restaurant. Opted for unlimited buffet at 899 because we wanted to taste everything.
It comes with a lot of starter all were amazing, but we were waiting for the main attraction where the chef cooks on the table and serve us.
He displayed his skill with knife fir sometime then comes writing skills with eggs.
Finally the noodles n rice and then few more dishes.. overall it was a good experience. I would rate them high as I want more people to experience the Teppanyaki style dining..
Best hibachi experience in India, that I found to be equal to some of the best I've been to in the US. Very happy to see this is now available right here in Bangalore. Jun, our chef at our table made it a real good dining experience with his witty and candid conversation, neat tricks as he cooked up dish after dish to please our palates. Grilled sea bass, a fine teriyaki chicken, grilled prawns with secret sauce, and not to forget the best fried rice and noodles I've had in a long while. As if that is not sufficient, Jun does a few amazing card tricks as you sit there savouring the delicious food he dishes out!! Must try for Asian food lovers!

Great food and Chef June makes it even more fun to dine with ! It’s a must try if you are in Kalyan nagar , try taking the unlimited option which is 899 per head and also ask for chef June if you are dining at the hibachi table .

Far from being a typical rice and noodle slop shop in Bangalore. Kitchen On Table palatial eatery is haute Japanese to the hilt. Heads will turn at the famous Tori crunchy salad and Exotic prawns.
If you are indecisive or unfamiliar with the various style of Japanese cuisine, then let the chef's call the shots and tantalize your taste buds with one of the distinctive multicouse meals. It's relatively a new restaurant in the area and it's definately an eye catcher ..... Good food ,great ambience ,prompt service and very friendly staff ..... Every cuisine served here has its own distinctive taste ..... Recommended for office lunch and dinners .

Wow !!! I would rate the dining experience 5+. It is a great all new experience with food actually being cooked at your table. It must be the first restaurant of its kind in Kalyan Nagar.
Food: The food was simply awesome especially the Dragon Maki (Pink). Lemon Grass Chicken, Chicken fried Rice and Garlic butter chicken were excellent too.
Service: The service is excellent and very personalised. We have the previledge of Chef June preparing the meal at the table and being entertained by him as well. We are well served by Michel.
Ambiance: Very nice and comfortable. We sat in the open with Bangalore’s lovey weather doing wonders.
Definitely a must visit.

Ok my first review ever and I felt it must be for a place worth it. My wife and me decided to just take in this place in a spur of the moment kinda decision. So we went in without reservations and were lucky to get seats with the head chef June.
We opted for the unlimited menu and what followed was simply brilliant! June was working two tables simultaneously but still found the time to give us enough attention. He even entertained us with magic!
The starters were good enough that we could taste everything - yet not feel guilty about wasting anything!
The welcome drink was a simple watermelon juice. Simple and unpretentious. Good enough.
As we were eating the owner - smitha came by to ask us whether everything was ok and it was! June cooked us some rice and noodles to go with other dishes. There were some vegetarians on the same table with us and June took care to clean the cooking table every. He also uses separate spatulas for veg and meat. (something my eagle eyes didn't miss!)
So it's not only about fine dining or tasty food but a great experience that we had! Was the food perfect? No. One could nitpick. However overall the ambience the brilliant service makes this a place I would re visit in a flash and get my near and dear ones to as well!

The place was amazing. My family and I went there twice consecutively as both our evenings were filled with good food and great ambience.
The chef was the highlight. Absolutely loved it.
We a party group of 10 had been here on Sunday ,as there was a lot of word of mouth echoing around kamanahalli . I had already been to many such places but this was different in many terms.
1. Food was affordable with perfect combination of flavor and taste. The chef is smart enough to maintain the balance on our taste buds.
2. Ambiance, makes your weekend colorful with the charisma around .
3. Staff ,they are well trained to understand the flavor of a customer and are skilled to perfection.
4.Must meet the owner Ms. Smitha who has added her part of charisma to the restaurant .
5. I am waiting for my weekend to visit it again along with my family.
Must visit. This is the first time I am reviewing any restaurant on Zomato.

This is by far one of the BEST restaurants I've been to. We had an absolutely fantastic time.
Chef Animesh made sure we had amazing food in front of us at all times... he was super entertaining and the spread is super yummy and very filling....don't believe the reviews that say otherwise. The portions are just enough. There are many dishes, so the portions are controlled but they happily serve you more if you particularly like anything that's part of the unlimited menu.The food from the teppanyaki part was fantastic.The fried rice, butter garlic prawns and teriyaki chicken were a favourite at our table. The noodles were tasty too. The soup,salad & non veg starters were scrumptious.
My husband & I love sushi..so we ordered a la carte as well - the spicy salmon roll & California maki were PERFECT.
I would definitely go back here :) Head chef June is so very entertaining. Staff was super courteous & we also had the chance to meet one of the owners... They were all super attentive and made sure the guests have a great time!!

Traditionally Japanese restaurants are fine dinning stick-pick foods... And there are protocols to follow while eating...KOT is not exactly...its easy going, casual, welcoming joint...the seating was nice, clean and simple, service was good, on food---Maki roll was good, tempura was rightly coated and crispy, though I found the wasabi was a bit mild, bar b q was very nicely spiced and was tender, the table chef was quite entertaining...on the table foods are fresh, prawns were very tender and with fresh aroma...overall this restaurant will serve you more of a pan Asian table 😚...we enjoyed...

I dined at kitchen on table, Kalyan Nagar on Saturday night..and I must admit it was an experience. Thanks to HSR KOT Management for referring me to Kalyan Nagar KOT after my previous review on the HSR menu that was up on zomato.
Right when I pushed the door open, there was a lady who greeted us and later let a steward take us through. We opted for unlimited non veg and we were in for a real treat. The starters in chicken, prawns and fish kept following right after the welcome drink (watermelon juice), soup and crunchy salad were served. If i remember correctly, there were 2 types of fish, 3 types of chicken and 2 types of prawns....YES 7 types of starters from the kitchen. We had to say STOP, as we wanted to enjoy the live table items too :-).
Then came the Chef, Anemesh who very dramatically set the table on fire....to prep the teppanyaki table to cook for us. The fish, prawns and the chicken that he cooked in front of us was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. The chicken fried rice was also tasty. We didn't opt for desserts has they had only vanilla ice cream.
The lady who had greeted us, came by, introduced herself has Joe and very politely checked on us. During the conversation when we asked, she explained the history and concept of KOT and we were told she was one of the 6 partners (apparently all friends) who run the Kalyan Nagar branch.
"Thank you Joe, we had a great dining experience, and you and your staff helped to make it that way! We will be back soon."
The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend it.
Very reasonably priced Sushi n Teppanyaki experience.. meal for 2 without drinks would cost 1000.
They have an interesting Buffet as well.
The staff is courteous and ambience is comfortable..
KOT!! A good place with good ambience for an amazing experience of having a dinner with friends or family.
I am a vegetarian and I loved the food that was served which was just tooo delicious, I especially fell in love with the cruncy salad, barbeques and mock veggies. I even had few of my friends who were non vegetarians they had an amazing meal with mouth watering sea food.
On the whole I strongly recommend Kitchen on table to experience an amazing dining. Worth the price you pay. MUST TRY.
Had been here with friends a few days back. Beautiful ambience and amazing food. They have a great variety of starters in the unlimited non veg meal. Fish items were out of the world.
Chef June made an amazing meal for us and he also entertained us during our meal with some awesome magic tricks. Definitely a must visit place at kalyan nagar.

Very relaxing ambiance & food made with love matters. The chef seems to be a very soulful person & enjoys his art. Every time I go... I get to experience wonder I mean food wonder!!!! Kitchen on table is highly accessible and in a very good locality. I really relished Indo Prawns, Chilli Basil Fish....Ebi tempura, Korean Fish...Not to miss Dragon Maki -Sushi.

Wonderful place for food lovers. Their unlimited non veg meal is loaded with lip smacking sea food and chicken. The best part is the food is cooked on your table and served fresh & hot! From the moment you push open the doors you sense a very warm welcoming.
The concept of having a Chef all to yourself, cooking right by your table is something I have always found really amusing.
We were lucky to get the Head Chef and my-oh-my he was quite the entertainer. When I say you're in for a treat, I do mean it in every sense.
The flavouring couldn't have been more authentic to Japanese cuisine and the menu has a well cut out range of sober dishes as well as brilliant experimental ones.
Now rather than discussing the menu and recommending a few "must try's", what I really would recommend is go in blind.
Whether you're the kind who likes to play safe or play with your taste buds, spicy or mild flavours, cold food or piping hot off the grill etc the experience is in being guided by the chef and having him prep up a dish which will leave you awe struck.
If you really do struggle to make up your mind, simply opt for their UNLIMITED Menu which offers you a shorter menu but making sure you get to experience every bit of the journey.

This restaurant is only a month old..and yet they have ensured to have foodies like me rush there. Situated in the heart of kalyan nagar, on the main road, the owners of this place know how to attract their customers. With neat interiors, soothing colors, this place looks and feels Pan Asian.
You are in for a treat if you are a sushi lover like me.
The chef is a charm cooking away right in front of you..keeping you engaged.
The prawns, the sushi and the fried rice i had was really tasty and lived up to the restaurant name..kitchen on table.
Make sure to park in the streets nearby...as you will not want to get out of kitchen on table once you are in :-).
The partners...i am told are 6 friends... are surely in for a long stay if they continue the service, food taste and hospitality.
Simply awesome - great ambiance, wonderful service, lovely and pleasant staff and delicious food - the unlimited meal is real value for money. And 'yes' the chef himself is such a treat with his live demos, juggling and card tricks and humour!

The best service ever for me, since I am in bangalore!!! The chef is really nice and funny, the place has a unique design and deco. The food is good also. You find people from different countries coming in the restaurant. It's just awesome. I really appreciated it. It's good to have a nice food, but it is also important to have it in a cool and joyful ambiance. Chapeau !

The food is really amazing . For a change my friends & me just went to eat some delicious food and it was a nice experience. June the main chef was sporty and kept us interested in the food that he was preparing by giving us the history of the cuisine's .
The first restaurant in the neighbourhood that promises to serve Japanese food (it hasn't yet opened officially, so many things on the menu like udon and soba noodles aren't available yet.)
But the salmon and crab nigiris, prawn tempura and miso soup made the cut.
They will miss out by not serving pork and beef. And while it is a pan-Asian restaurant, false flowers and loud music simply don't belong in a place one goes to have Japanese food.
