It was a late Sunday morning, and nearly time for lunch. While the famous 'hole in the wall' was buzzing with a crowd, I happened to find myself walking towards this particular place.
I entered and was happy. Very small, but with a touch of colonial nostalgia. Placed an order for their breakfast platter - kapitan's meal (or the captain's meal). All the items promised in the menu was before me in no time. I opted for a cheese omelette. It literally oozed out cheese. Soft to the touch. The pan cakes were delicious. Yes I have had better ones, but I didn't mind. The home made apricot jam was not all that great. The sausages were fine. I loved the toast served with butter. The place had a rustic feel, especially with the old fashioned switches and stuff. Spoke with the manager and left the place happy.

Nice and pocket friendly cafe. Went for breakfast and the food was delicious. Service is also good. The only thing I didn't like about this cafe was the location. We struggled to locate it.
At first, I missed a turn and had to take a huge round trip to reach this inconspicuously located place. Blink and you miss locating this place. But the rustic interiors blew me away. Nothing fancy, just plainly designed cafe with a throwback to good old days of 40s and 50s. The place looks almost non descript to say. But the food, its mind blowing and very very good. They make their bread and papaya jam in-house and they're the best I have ever tasted in Bengaluru. Try this place out for a weekend brunch or a weekday evening meal. Easy on the pocket as well, worth giving a try.

Food is nice and filling.We ordered chiklite chicken sandwich,mushroom sandwich , watermelon juice and ginger ale. The ambience of the place is different with old fashioned furniture and radio playing classic English songs from the long old past.
Please re-do the hoarding for the place as it's almost impossible to spot.

Fritzbee (Kerala pazham Pori) was very good. It's overpriced for 95, still the taste is awesome.
Spinach and cheese omlet is amazing here. You can actually enjoy the taste of egg, cheese and spinach, in right proportions.
The salsa which they gave along with the omlet is quite tasty as well.
Pancakes are nice. Good quantity served for the price.
French toast is quite good too. The bread was very soft indeed.
Service was pretty fast. I guess it could be because we were the only folks in the place at that time.
I'd say you can definitely give this one a try for getting tasty food at a reasonable price in a peaceful place.

As usual I ordered a delivery for Sunday night dinner through Zomato. I ordered an OTC Sandwich, The Classic Pancake and a Cold Coffee.
The OTC sandwich is an Onion Tomato Cucumber sandwich served in a Panini bread sprinkled with a pepper seasoning on top of the bread. The sandwich was fresh because of the filling. French fries came as a compliment. The sandwich was a messy tasty treat and it was quite the size of a 6 inch sub.
The Classic pancakes are 3 pancakes stacked and served with apple reduction and prunes with maple syrup. I would recommend it to be shared unless you a large appetite.
The cold coffee was as it should be but less chilles @as the delivery was a little late than expected.
Small place tucked away on 80 Ft road. One could easily miss it. The place has a typical anglo decor and the menu card gives out the history of the place as well as the name of the cafe. The decor is tastefully done and antique themed (including the menu cards). Tables made form Sewing tables of yesteryears, table fan, phones etc. Food was delicious. Tried pasta and masala omelette. PBCB (guess what?) Peanut Butter and caramalised Banana was superb. Topped up with Sulaimani tea (different but soothing). Good for a family outing too. Sandwiches come with good quantity of butter !

This is a place that brings out memories of the old house. The wall color, sewing machine tables, old and rusty photo frames remind me of home in pre 2000 era. It's a very chill place to have delicious dinner. Veg stew with Appam was amazing and it comes for two.
Overall, a great place and would definitely recommend.

In desperation to explore a new continental breakfast joint, basis average rating of 4.2 from fellow Zomatoians... explored Fat Fanny's Cafe. Neatly tucked in the first floor (just next to Naturals Ice Cream on Koramangala 80 ft road), the cafe welcomed us with an old age ambience. Tailoring machines converted into dining tables, trunk boxes topped with cushion for seating. Looking at the menu... we were pleasantly surprised to see a small Indian section (Aapam with Stew) beyond the large collection of continental breakfast items. While the prices in menu card raised the question ís this place value for money' while ordering... size of serving of dishes more than justify the prices. Each dish can actually serve two people (if you are moderate eater), including drinks. All dishes we had (aapam with stew, toast with baked beans, masala omletee with egg white, hot chocolate, sweet surprise smoothie) did not disappoint in terms of taste too. Unfortunately, the week end special of spicy pumpkin waffles was not available today (Saturday). Will surely repeat this place for this and more items... and I am hopeful we will bump into each other at this place for a lazy breakfast session. Go for it
My go to place for breakfast, love the ambience and food and love their omelettes the most. It is a tiny place and has good ambience. Their service is also pretty good and their dishes are moderately priced too. Kapitans meal is my favourite here. Would recommend this place for a nice breakfast.
Summary: delicious food at high prices. Kheema omelette, toast, kapitan meal and tea to wash it down totally made my day. The omelette was especially good and I can honestly say I have never had a better omelette till date.
If you wanna taste the Colonial-English-Cuisine served by Indian granny (late) Fanny! The combination of English-(Kerala) cuisine! Worth for what we pays and one of the best breakfast which fills your tummy! Kapitan's Breakfast is my favorite! Recommended!
It's one of those blink and you miss kind of places. But when you find it you will realise its a gem. The interiors are so charming. It almost took me back to my own granny's house. They have limited seating so all the best with that. I got a. Seat the moment I walked in. We ordered for burgers and I tell you it is the best burger I've had. Absolutely blissful. Go eat!
Loved the veg sandwich yummmmm one of the best English breakfast's in the city! The interiors give us the nostalgic feeling, the glass tables and backless sofas add the charm to the cafe.
The unique ambience of this place gives it a very homely and different feel.The antique furniture accompanied by blues and jazz really makes for a good evening/night. The cluckerburg is easily one of the best burgers in town with the massive Patty egg and an array of sauces and a mixture at the bottom some of which will be all your face Would definitely recommend this place for someone looking to have a massive burger while unwind to some very chilled out music.

A cafeteria with glimpse of 1950s and 40s ambience and the songs played are relevant to blues and old classic symphonies ,a classic cozy place to have brkfast and also occasional hangout for a tea or coffee with the closed ones.the prices are not too very expensive ..do try the breakfast quadra meal which includes options of cereal omelette sandwich bacon , boiled beans fruit juice or tea..at a good price.

This is a little gem on the by-lanes of koramangala's street. This place is very much hidden and you need to be very vigilant to find this place :) The entrance of this place is a bit of a disappointment but I saw an ad on their menu saying that the wall is available for local artists to showcase their photography or art. I hope some of the artists start utilising this space soon !
The ambience of this place reminds me of my granny's old ancestral place which had a lot of these old lamps and some solid wooden furniture which adds a rustic look to this place.The theme of this place is explained on the menu I would encourage you to read about it, I wouldn't want to spoil this little read by writing more about it ! I would recommend visiting this place for breakfast since this place has a huge range of eggs in their menu, This place amplifies that an amazing breakfast adds a lot of zing to the day and helps you get into the super hero mood you always want !
We were here for a lazy Sunday breakfast we reached here at around 10 and thanked our lucky stars that there was a table that just cleared, We ordered some hot chocolate to start with which was the biggest let down of the entire breakfast it was too sweet and so not good. I hope they take it out of the menu !
We went through the menu and decided to have their non veg combo, This consists of a bacon, mashed potato, some beans,coffee,Pancake,bread and a choice of omelette. Yup! It is true they have all this as part of their combo ! I know it is too dreamy to believe but trust me it is TRUE! Since we do not eat bacon the waiter was kind enough to offer us some mushroom spinach cheese salad on the side.
The omelette was fluffy and cheesy its made of 2 eggs and is simply amazing I can eat this kinda omelette everyday !
The bread was also really good and was toasted well and had a crisp to every bite just the way I like it ! The mashed potato was a bit of a let down after the creamy and cheesy omelette. The beans needed a bit more of cooking for my taste. Filter coffee was amazing perfect to add that little zing to the breakfast. The pancakes are simply amazingly done, it was not too sweet it was fluffy and perfectly balanced.
This place is a complete value for money and I would recommend everyone to try this place !
Let's start with a few negatives for a change ...
Finding this place is definitely not easy what with the narrow stairs and just a simple-small name board... And a place like this you expect it to be more open and such...
But as soon as your order comes you forget everything else... We ordered three different omelettes, lots and lots of bacon and some cold coffee to wash it all down... Everything was delicious and what made the experience better was our very sweet server and the easy on the pocket bill... I am definitely coming here again and soon.
Lovely small quaint place with interesting interiors in Koramangala. We visited here after reading the reviews on Zomato and the food was unbelievable. We tried 2 burgers on their menu - Bird in the bush & Beefindor. They were both excellent, bread was perfectly baked and didn't break, meat was well cooked as we requested and the serving size is large as we couldn't finish them.
We also ordered in through delivery a month after tried the appam and beef stew, keema pav & bird in the bush burger. All were excellently cooked, consistency was maintained on the burger as compared to our last visit and the keema was tender and well cooked.
Very nice place and based on the quality of food it is value for money. I would go back there again and again.
Nice, pocket friendly place to have a scrumptious breakfast or brunch. TFFC is a tiny place with some out-of-the-box interiors and decor. Service is quick and staff is very informed. We ordered their breakfast platters - Kapitan's meal and Admirality. Both took not more than 10 minutes to be served, and was served hot! Both looked really yummy. I loved some of the preparations in the platter, like the spinach mushroom and even the banana fritters was nicely done. I didn't the tea though, it wasn't strong and was very milky. The waffle and pan-cake was good too. Overall this is a cool place to catch up, specially over breakfast.

Been to this place on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Reached there around 9am and we had place to sit. So, here is our experience:
Location: A tad difficult to find...its a very small place on the first floor. Google maps takes you there, but you might end up passing it in 1st attempt. We came around and found a small board next to Naturals Ice cream... thankfully didn't miss it this time! Parking just down there is a little difficult, so go on the opposite side and there is a lane where you can find parking. On sunday morning for breakfast, the shops downstairs were closed, so we could park our mo-bike on the footpath (without blocking the walking path).
Ambience: The place is very nice....its loaded with old stuff (or maybe made to look like).. there is nice music playing..but .. the place is too cramped!! I wont give it 5 just for that! Reducing 1 table will do the job... tables are too close to each other..to the point that getting in-out in between tables gets a little difficult. Also, when one of the guys cleaned the table after guests left; the cloth used was old i guess... so it left a stench till it dried..that was annoying for around 5-10 minutes.
FOOD: This is reason the place gets 4! We ordered Waffles, French Toast and then a Club sandwich. Everything was very nice... the french toast was especially very good! So, you might find the costs of the sandwiches on the higher side, but then they are loaded! They will easily suffice 2 ppl in case you are also having smaller dishes like waffles or omelettes. They have a truck load variety of eggs... and the filter coffee is nice...really nice...simple...costs 30 INR.. I had 2 coffees, the first one was warm; so asked the guys to make the next one piping hot.. and they obliged.
We will definitely visit again...to try the burgers now!

Truly a good name considering the humongous burger they delivered!
I was in the mood for a nice yummy burger when I came across these guys on Swiggy. Went for a Beefy No.1 which came with Fries.
The burger in addition to the usual veggies (lettuce, tomato, onions etc.) had a bulls eye (egg). Now I know many people like an egg in their burger but I am not one of them coz eating such a large burger is messy and to add a sloppy bull's eye with dripping yolk is painful.
The burger was indeed very good once I managed to remove the egg. The fries were a bit over crispy but it helped reduce the sogginess.
Just a suggestion to the team at Fat Fanny's to mention in Swiggy or whichever delivery system that the burgers come with egg.
The Fat Fanny"s cafe...its ok for Ambiance...good service and polite staffs...we ordered little monster special and Admarilaty.... really nice stuff...

It would be good if the seating space is increased - you have to be very patient to wait up to get a table. Tried their Omelettes. Mushroom Cheese one along with the special tomato-onion chutney makes up for a delightful breakfast.
You need to know the location if you want to find this place. Though on a main road near a busy junction, even Koramangalites will have to search around a bit. And once u enter, you will think you have made a mistake. For God's sake, since when does having a few sewing machines around equals a good outlet? But then it does if you want to make a seriously different style statement.
The service is great, the antiques lying around are photogenic, and the food... well, the portions are good, the taste is ok, and the knife piercing the burgers (the way they are presented) makes you want to stab them more and gorge on them.
It is a nice place to spend a couple of hours with friend/s on a weekday. You can let your loose and gossip without shame. As long as your table ( I mean sewing table) occupied with food.
Really nice food and worth the penny you spend. We have been here couple of times now. We have tried their pork vindaloo sandwich, both the beef burgers(we liked the beef burger - BBQ rather than the pulled beef) and the kapitans breakfast spread. The pork sausage in the breakfast was yum, but was just too little I felt :(. Little slow service but it's worth the wait. The only problem I had is with the seating arrangements. Only few seats have back support. So not really comfortable when you have to sit for a long time.

On the way back to Hosur, we decided to look at a good restaurant in Koramangala and with zomato we zeroed in on this place. Small and a bit difficult to locate, when we entered there was an initial hesitation because it looked old and my in-laws had second thoughts but thankfully I convinced them based on previous reviews.
Ambience takes you back to way way back and the choice for food is quite well spread. Biggest surprise we got was the quantity and almost everything we ordered was tasty. Admiral platter, mushroom sandwich(more like a sub), appam with beef ( best appams ever, 8 pieces) and a cluckerburger were shared between the 4 of us and let me tell you we were stuffed at the end. Must visit place and as I finish this review, they bring some coffee and its a big mug!

Nice little place we had passed so many times and finally decided to walk into. It has a snug ambience with a few interesting books. Food is spectacular and quite easy on the pocket. Great for a breakfast, brunch or lunch. Staff is courteous and when we were struggling to pick a meal for our two year old, they got her a complimentary pair of chocolate fritters that were delicious and kept her busy. My grand veg sandwich with paneer and mushrooms was wholly satisfying. This dip and side of fries were also well made. My husband's spinach omelette was also yum. A fantastic little place you should explore!
A small cozy place for long conversations or time with yourself. Fat Fanny's takes you for a slow ride which lets you take things on your own time. It can be a bit hard to spot for first timers but I guess they like to keep themselves small and cozy.
A cosy little place tucked away in Koramangala. It can be slightly difficult to locate. But I would recommend everyone to visit this place at least once. The paninis here are my personal favorite. They have taken the pain to comprehensively explain the whole history of the place which is fun to read. It is one of those places where you can sit for a long conversation.
Just walk into this place and it will give you reminiscences of an earlier time, everything about the place takes you back in time.. The menu has decent options with nominal rates... The food was luscious.. All the antiques and the vintage setting of the place does make it a great place to spend quality time.

Ordered French toast, 2 non veg burgers ( bird in the bush and cluckerburg), chicken nuggets and 2 cold coffees for 3 of us and it was sufficient for all. Burgers were medium spicy and juicy. Ordered tasty waffles in desert. Coffee was really sweet. Cost for 3 was nearly around 1300.

I had been looking forward for my breakfast experience here. It was a major task to find the place though I was standing right in front of it. The place doesn't keep a name board visible to the customers. They have a blackboard kept by the roadside entrance at the foot of the stairs that lead upto the vintage setting area.
As far as the ambience is concerned , this cafe has an old world charm but somehow doesnt work for me as an eatery ambience. Coming to the food - service was quick and the staff knew what they were doing. We ordered a quarter master's veg and non veg meal. Got eveything listed in the menu. Portion was perfect , milk with the cereal was nicely warmed, sausage cooked nicely, omelette was yum. The sauted veggies fresh and the salsa was tangy - brilliant , in fact. Coffee too was good :) only that a little more salt was needed in all that required salt ( which anyhow is present on the table). The menu is properly priced. May be the place can work on their ambience and appearance/presence.

My friend and I decided to meet for brunch one fine Saturday. And we ended up meeting up for lunch. So she chose this place based on zomato reviews and ratings. I must say, we did find it hard to spot the cafe at first, since it's a small cafe tucked in on the streets of kormangala. Even the display board of the cafe is too small that it could go unnoticed.
So, we got into the place, and we were taken aback to see the ambience and the space in which the cafe is situated. The tables are actually sewing machine tables, and the cafe can accommodate maximum of 5 groups at a time. We were rather skeptical about the whole thing, but decided to give it a shot anyway.
Since we visited the place during navratri, we were on a strict veg diet. We ordered TTF veg sandwich, alfredo veg penne pasta, hot chocolate, and lemon ice tea. As they served us the drinks first, our doubts of this ending up as a bad experience just got almost confirmed. Both the drinks were served in beer mugs. The hot chocolate tasted normal, not that great. Nothing to be impressed of. He lemon ice tea was just cold lemon drink.
But, our faces lit up once we were served the pasta and the sandwich, since both being super duper delicious. The food actually bought a huge smile on our faces and tummies. We were totally awestruck by the taste and the quantity of the food they serve. The veg sandwich was an absolute delight.
I would make it a point to visit the cafe again and try out their non veg dishes. Kudos to the entire team :)
And, yes, it is extremely light on the pocket. No taxes. You pay for what you eat. No overhead taxes.

It's perfect.
A weekend English breakfast is a state of being. Fat Fanny is contextually perfect to elevate said state of being.
A lot of places have an eclectic decor but this place has a story behind it. And when you're here you're a character in that on going narrative about Fanny. The pieces of furniture here is from her house. And going by what it looks like I'd say this is a story that started in British India. So the English breakfast fits right into the paradigm.
Sorry, the back to the point. This place isn't for when you're in a hurry to shove some food into your face and go on with your day.
Wake up knowing full well that you have nothing else to do the rest of the day, slowly make your way into the dingy building, walk up the narrow stairs, plonk yourself on one of the never-seen-anywhere-else arrangements, order, sit back, enjoy. Contemplate life, talk, nibble, leave.
Ordered the PB and Bacon sandwich. They didn't have it. My heart bled.
Ordered the Admiralty Breakfast because I'm a big boy and cruised through it and ended with chocolaty sweetness balanced with coffee.
Does this place have the best damn English breakfast outside the UK?@ No , but it's sufficient.
Is the service fit for kings? No but it's warm and it's honest.
Does it look like a colonial club house? No but it's just like the books you've read when you were a kid.
Is the sum greater than its parts? Most definitely.

Absolutely the favorite place for breakfast with friends and has the best sandwiches and burgers in town. You gotta love the french fries too! Recommend Mr. burton burger, Clubwich sandwich and the cold coffee. The staff is quite polite and courteous.

Fat Fanny's serve one of the best breakfast in town.. Been there 4-5 times and I was not been let down once.. Ambiance is rustic and will give a classic retro feel. If you are in there for breakfast, go for the Kapitan's meal or Admirality. Burgers and sandwiches are equally good.. A must visit for food lovers..
Definitely try 'Praise the Lard', its heaven!! Breakfasts are true to their descriptions. All in all a Great place for a sunday brunch. Suprrb preparation and generous quantity.

Another awesome place for a breakfast on a early Sunday morning. The USP of this place is the history behind each item in this restaurant. There is detailing in each piece of item in the place which you can read more about in the initial pages of their menu. Coming to the food, this place has quiet a great spread, I an my family ordered Appam and Chicken stew, each plate of Appam has 8 pieces and the stew can serve 2 people. The appam was very light and very easy to gulp down :), the stew did preserve the true authentic essence of coconut milk and was very yummy. This place as of now tops my list of breakfast places in Bangalore

Not sure how to eat the beast. But super tasty. The appam with stew was homely. Try the pancakes with nutella n honey if you like it sweet. Been here a couple of times now.

Small yet a catchy ambience ! Located on the 1st floor of the V3 building in kormangala 1st block. Their menu book is actually interesting & gives you a glimpse of Fanny's historical background. Ordered a QUARTER MASTER'S MEAL(Non-Veg) & it was extremely tasty & stomach-filling. Be it their cheesy omelette or their grilled veggies with Chicken sausages, both were cooked to perfection. Coffee being served as a part of their breakfast category missed the frothy goodness & even the creamy spinach was a bit weird in taste. No matter this was the best breakfast till date but had some minor flaws. Baked beans 'n' Toasts were absolutely good. Do visit this café for it's amazing breakfast & courteous service !

Had come to bengaluru for a week for work... Sunday morning seemed to be the perfect get away for a leisurely brunch... So Fat Fannys it was for us...
We set course from the old airport road to Fat Fannys on GPS.. We reached the destination... Supposedly on the left.. But it was no where in sight.. A lot of straining of the eye muscles later.. We found a teeny weeny board on the first floor very modestly placed..
Ambience was very old school... Who could have thought that trunks could make for a cozy seating and sewing machines would double up as tables! With a room for say... 5 families... A bit congested to house a pram for an infant....
But come to the food... N I couldn't have asked for a better deal or a better meal any where in India... We tried the Admiralty and the kapitans meal.. What initially was thought to be sparely served.. Turned out to be a generous serving on a platter. My hunt for the perfect English meal I guess ends here! Loved the hospitality of the staff.... But yes... Had to wait for half an hour to get seated.. But was surely worth the wait.

I have been to this place innumerable times. Often for breakfast. Sometimes for brunch. Love their breakfast meals. Kapitan's, Admiral's all of it. Their omelletes are out of this world! I always recommend it to people. Love the interiors too. The sewing machine tables are something I had never expected but are such a good idea.

I was walking by the lane searching for a nice cafe to sit at and suddenly I see this place's name on zomato with highest rating among the local ones, but couldn't find it until I saw a broken door with menu written on it. I climb up the stairs and find this beautiful cafe with anglo-indian architecture in it. The place looked amazing and so did the menu, I hoped the same for the food. And guess what IT WAS AMAZING. We just stopped there for a quick snack but in the end our tummy was full with their amazing cold coffee, Tff veg sandwich which was an amalgamation of different flavours and the complimentary basket of fried banana and cheese we got for making us change the seat we were sitting at earlier.
Go try this beautiful place.

The moment I sat in this place, I felt like I'm in one of those cozy cafes tucked in small corners in places like McLeodganj, Rishikesh and the like. A small and peaceful getaway in the middle of the hustle-bustle of Kormangala.
It's very easy to miss this place as the board outside is very old and faded. It is near the Natural Ice Cream outlet (which can be easily spotted).
Coming to the food, I've been to this place 3-4 times now and it has been a fulfilling experience each time. I've had the Watermelon slushie and the lemon ice tea in drinks. Although, the names might be common, the preparation of these drinks was not. The iced tea was just how you'd imagine iced tea should taste - not the one where outlets dissolve some pre-mix in cold water. The effort put behind making these drinks at this small place is really commendable. I had the mushroom spinach omelette which was accompanied by two slices of toast, hash browns and a little salsa. The omelette was thick, fluffy and absolutely delicious. The accompaniments too were done to perfection.
The food item which absolutely stands out is the Appam with veg Stew. Such a perfect combo, what an amazing meal.
The place is run by a very friendly chap and he played a very good host.
It is these kind of places which instil in me that we don't need the big American fast-food chains which feed us chemicals in the name of food. There is enough and more talent and passion in our people who can churn out amazing fare at very reasonable prices.
Amazing ambience, gives an odd homely feel! And the food!. They say the messiest burgers are the tastiest burgers! Well, their burgers are definitely messy and are definitely good stuff! I tried the cluckerburg and the beefy1 and both were really good! They're really filling burgers and not for those with less appetite. But great stuff!

I think this is one cafe that cooks with heart.. a sweet & small breakfast place with a classic retro feel. The music.. the ambience and the food was topnotch..(although the place looked a bit crunched up which I am sure was more because of the Sunday crowd..)
It's a very small place. It's on the main road yet wasn't easily visible.The place is designed in a wonderful way. They have used trunks for seats and sewing machines for tables.
It's a nice option for breakfast. I tried classic pancakes and penne alfredo pasta. Both were good.
I advice you to go a bit early on weekends as you might find a long queue there.
I loved the ambiance of this place. The food was so good that my friends now visit it quite regularly. But I do have a problem their sign board is hard to spot!!

If you are crazy for meaty burgers and sandwiches then you should visit this place.. I had a pulled pork and chicken sandwich and I just loved it!!! Its a small place but the interiors are really nice, they have given an antique kind of look.. love this place.. will definitely go again..

This place is the perfect hidden gem in Koramangala. It is small (about a total of 6 tables) but don't let that fool you !
USP: An interesting "coastal" theme with very unique decor such as an antique telephone, TV and Radio as well as an unique menu.
What I liked: Superb burgers and sandwiches, excellent setting and sizable portions.
What I didn't like: The items are a bit costly and the place feels a bit cramped up.
Recommended items:
a) The Great Fat Fanny's: This sandwich comes with fries loaded into it along with a sauce with pork pieces as a dressing in multigrain bread. Yum !
b) Cluckerberg: This huge burger is definitely one of the best I have tasted in bangalore. Soft juicy patty with a nice bun makes this a kickass burger.
c) Pump it smoothie: If you are one of those experimental foodies, this one is a must try. It has pumpkin, brown sugar and cinnamon !
Should you go here ? If you want to go to a place with a very interesting ambience, awesome burgers/sandwiches and which is "hatke" , then yes !
When you've had a good burger, you KNOW you've had a GOOD burger, especially when there are juices dripping down your face and you have meat sweats right after bacon,egg and a chicken patty have hit your system. I've had food from here twice (home delivered) and have NOT been let down!! A must if you like Thulp style burgers because these guys will give them a run for their money!!

A great breakfast can just lift up the mood for the entire day. The Fat Fanny's cafe absolutely pumps up the energy with their English breakfast, cheese omelettes, pancake and waffles. It's just not about food, the place is tastefully decorated with antiques and the rite music to go with the food and ambiance. It's perfectly set to savour delicious breakfast. Loved their menu which is designed to match with the ambiance.
Cheese mushrooms omlete: its the best in town. It was so soft and just melted in mouth. The cheese texture they had just got it rite. Well it was a shows stopper. Omelettes lovers don't miss to try one.
Pancakes: Sweet was perfect and it was soft and fluffy.
Waffle's: I love my waffle when it's slightly crispy on outer layer. It was soft from outside and inside. So i would suggest to pick pan cakes at this place.
Fresh juice: Juice was fresh and sweetness of the juice was not so sweet. So I was happy with the juice.
To enjoy the best omlete in town do visit this place. Coming to pricing I find it value for money.

A really small cafe in koramangala 1st block right next to natures ice cream. It's in the first floor, the board is in white so it was a little hard to find at first. Owned by this lovely guy from fort cochi, the restaurant is inspired from his grandmother Fanny and her recipes. The interiors quite amazing sewing machine for tables, vintage telephones. Very small place has hardly around 6 tables. Service is good. Food is amazing everything is made from scratch from the sauce to jams. Since I'm a small eater I ordered the little monster special I chose waffles, mushroom spinach omelette, Oreo milk shake to go along with it... I also relieved toast, the homemade papaya jam was super delicious, so was the sauce, salsa and sausages were cooked really well.. The owner Arjun told us everything was homemade which made it even more better, healthy, less preservatives. The meal was big for me. The waffle was fresh and hot, served with delicious sugar syrup. My boyfriend ordered Beefindor pulled beef burger, the burgers are big with side of fries, it was quite tasty. We also ordered watermelon slushy, the taste was unusual than what I expected they had blended the watermelons with cilantro, I didn't like or neither hated it. Do visit this place if your looking for pocket friendly good tasty meal.

You would want your hateful ex to be the same way this café is. Right in the middle of the road, yet invisible to the naked eye.
But once inside(The café, of course), you not only transport yourself to an era with good music but also good food. Its difficult to get recognized and maintain a 4+ Zomato rating in Bangalore serving all day long breakfasts. But Fat Fanny’s café was able to pull that off.
The café is small area wise but it took a two month period to completely fulfill the colonial look which the management was going after. Sewing Machines have been turned into tables and Radios adorn the wall mounts. Could it get hippier than this?
The food was top class with a not one but many favorites fighting for the top spot. The beef and cheese omelet was a winner. With well cooked beef pieces sprinkled across abundance of cheese and wrapped in the omeletey finish of the eggs. The hot chocolate was just a bit too runny for my consistency but the chocolate in that was indiscriminate in every sip.
The waffles were the achilles’ heel of the place. We have had better. They could have done with a little more crispiness on the surface and a little alteration in the fluffiness of the batter. Another jewel was the pork vindaloo, which was so good that it made us try a dessert item with it. The tamarind was spot on and the pork pieces, one too many. French Toast on the other hand could also do away with some more crispiness on its surface. The papaya extract was home made and enviable. Do not miss it for the world. Have one more cup please.
All in all, if you are in the vicinity, if you have a holiday, if you have woken up before 4 pm; then GO HERE, please!!

Another nice option for breakfast in bangalore, had the mushroom omelette and the bacon omelette. Both were decent. Didn't live up to the hype however.

After a blood test and 12 hrs of fasting I had option of sukh sagar vs fat fanny. After a sumptuous breakfast at Fat Fanny i didn't regret it at all. Finding the place took some effort. The staff were all courteous and pleasant. I was their sole guest. Omlet was fav. I love my Waffles crispy and less sweet which it was not. The beans had the creamy texture to offset the sweetness of waffles. Will come back for more.
This place has an amazing ambience!! The very colonial ambience, with an old sewing machine , television, lanterns, hurricane . When we entered found a damp smell , and we were kinda lost. But slowly we started enjoying the ambience, n food is simply goodnight . Grilled mushroom sandwich n chicken burger were just mind blowing!! You can eat till you drop here... quantity is very good for each dish . If u like a taste of history, please unfold this here!!

This place boasts of a lot of history or rather her-story (fanny's). I m not sure how much of it is true but quite surely the food is great and the interiors are amazing. All those old artifacts you find in malayalee Christian families of a long gone era can be found here.
Their quarter masters meal was the best I found in the menu, though I m told the other items like pancakes and appam were also good.
A small place.... with lots of artifacts the cafe history claims to have got from Fannys place in Cochin.... very quaint and very interesting.. .

Bacon and Cheese Omlette: I ordered an add on of ham... loved it... I love bacon and I loved this egg masterpiece... the cheese the egg everything came together so well.. just perfect for the hungry me...
Waffles: served warm with reduced apple and maple syrup... pretty good...
Ginger Tea: Hot and quite tasty...
Filter Coffee: My hubby is a tambram and he knows filter coffee in and out... he really enjoyed his coffee... :)

The cafe is a small one with antique pieces adorning the walls. It can accommodate around 10-12 people at a time. They've a sewing machine table for a cash counter table.
Totally in love with this place firstly it has a very homely ambience it's a pretty small place though the food is delicious we had bacon and cheese omelette heaven the appam and chicken stew was so yum that I finally ate the stew completely out of the bowl please do try this place out !!!

I had decided on this place seeing such amazing reviews on zomato and visited the place with high expectations.
For the start, I ordered a cold coffee for myself and my fiancé ordered a water melon juice. The juice was quite fresh but the coffee (even after specifically mentioning to make it strong and thick - not watery) turned out to be really really bad. On a Sunday morning if I don't get my coffee right turns out a major disappointment for me.
For the break, we ordered chicken stew which is served with appam..u get 8 of them here. This item was really tasteful and is highly recommended for all stew and appam lovers. Then there was chicken , spinach and cheese omelet with brown bread toast which was again quite decent.!
Had the coffee been good, the place deserved a 4.!

It is small and a very cozy space. Music compliments the ambience. Setting is pretty creative.
I never knew a simple omelette can taste so gooooood. I had the Little Monster Special - Waffles, Omelette, Oreo Shake, Sausage and Toast served with butter and jam. They have this authentic homemade flavour in everything. sausage was cooked to perfection and the mushroom cheese omelette was very yummy.
Quantity is very generous and the other dishes look highly appetizing too. Looking forward to visiting this place again !

We roamed around for 15 minutes in the rain and then we called the place and finally got to visit this small cafe.
We ordered a veg burger, mushroom grilled sandwich, paneer grilled sandwich, water melon slushy, lemon ice tea and sweet surprise smoothie.
The veg burger was very soft and very very delicious.
Both the sandwiches were amazing in taste and it was filled so much that it was falling off the sandwich.
The water melon slushy was a brain freezer. Decent in taste.
Lemon ice tea was equally good.
The sweet surprise smoothie was not at all a surprise. The banana-honey-yogurt combo failed miserably. Didn't even finish the drink.
Overall a decent place if you want to try something new and different with a good ambience.
A very homely place to have really good comfort food. And they have enough variety of cuisines too. Excels in American and Keralite breakfast home meals. It was really a very innovative combination of cuisines. I thoroughly the food and ambience. And for a very worthy costing too.
I found it funny when a friend told me that he dreamt of Mr Burton ... And hence we put The Fat Fannys cafe on to do list in Bangalore. "No place like home" - they think and offer a cozy ambience, soothing old English music and yummy food. We ate Appam Stew (a recipe passed from generations) , Watermelon Slushy and ofcourse Mr Brutton. The sheer size, juicy yumm mutton are the reason why it isn't just Burton.

The theme from 80s, the lighting , those switches and all. When we entered this cafe , I was in doubt if we are at right place, however the food , "bird in the bush " burger made my day along with some refreshing drinks that they offer.

The Fat Fanny's Cafe is tucked in somewhere so nondescript that you'd miss it in a jiffy if you're not paying attention. The moment you enter you know that the owner(s) really did make the effort to give this place a character. I like that.
Objectively speaking, yes - they serve all the stuff that makes for a great breakfast and the retro-look does make it authentic but there's nothing, food wise, that screams - "awesome"..

I have visited this place numerous times and i do because of the quality of food and taste. I have always ordered kapitan' meal and never been disappointed. Somedays they do take sometime to serve, but yes its worth the wait. The place is quite small and hence getting a table in peak hours could be a challenge. The staff are good too.
One of the coziest cafes I have been too! Tucked away in a corner away from the sight, this cafe is a perfect place to start your day. The interiors are old school and goes very well with the heritage it comes from. There are seating tables made from sewing machines! The food is good too. The juices were fresh, ginger tea well prepared! The breakfast platter was sumptuous and the mashed potatoes amazing.
Went here last Sunday for breakfast. I wasn't sure they'd serve everything at 7:30 AM but they did. I tried Egg Benedict and it was DIVINE! I got so carried away with it that my friend took pictures to show me later how I became a child, with sauce and egg on my beard, while eating it. The mushroom omelette my friend tried was great too. Pancakes are not my thing but my friend who tried them love them.
This place has a rustic charm. It's small place, very limited seating. Although I found the seating convenient, it might not be what many people call comfortable. I suppose you come here to enjoy the food, not a place to hangout.
I'd strongly recommend trying the place. I look forward to going again soon to try their appams.
Fat Fanny's is a homely little cafe that has the best (and best value for money!) breakfast platters in town. It can sometimes get a bit cramped, especially on weekend mornings, but when it's not, it's lovely sitting back and listening to swing from the '50s on the old stereo.
Their pump-it pumpkin smoothie, creamy mushroom spinach, salsa, home made barbeque sauce and jam are exceptional. Their burgers and sandwiches are excellent, too, although they are a bit on the pricey side - worth it if you're in the mood for a *quality* burger though!
To top it all off, the staff are warm and welcoming, and have been quite accommodating in the past
Fantastic place for English breakfast. Nice tasting food in good quantities. You could even skip lunch if you decide to have late breakfast here. The pancakes, burgers, sandwiches, omelettes and baked beans on toast, all taste great. Friendly staff and nice ambience with a lot of antiques on display.
This is a very small place, nothing to get you WOWing but it ll gradually grow on you!
So, this place is difficult to locate as there is no shiny board, nothing. So, for once, you would get a lil apprehensive about it but go ahead and step into it..
The place is quite tiny, like I have mentioned before with just 3-4 tables and the whole setup is quite antique. The radio, the television set, the fans, the table made out of past-era windows- everything!
About the food, everything was in ample quantity and tasted good!
The Mac and cheese was okay, the Veg sandwich, the chicken sandwich and burger, all were delicious and came with generous fries on the sides.
The cold coffee we ordered was quite watery but they promptly got it replaced and banana shake was tasty!

Had a perfect breakfast after a long time. We ordered one Cheese Omlette and one Admirality. It was really different from the regular english breakfast's that we had. Each elements on the platter was tasty. And it was really filling for two of us. Ordered filter coffee and was heaven.
The place can accommodate around 10-15 people at a time. Service is really good. And the overall time took for preparing the dishes was surprisingly good.

How often do you get to enter a space that transports you back in time to a slightly sooty, dimlit, room, quite likely in Kerala and then brings you right back, here and now, with a friendly greeting from a northeastern featured face!
I visited with my family, all of whom were reluctant about staying on, once they walked up the narrow stairs and discovered a small, almost cramped room to sit in. But once the service began and the table was laid, our concerns vanished. The appams were great. I didn't enjoy the chicken stew much. Perhaps their vindaloo or beef gravy may have complemented the appams more. We also ordered an omelette with spinach and fries for starters which were good. My 7 yr old thought his chicken burger was quite awesome too. We washed it all down with refreshing lemon-ginger ale. The cold coffee and watermelon slush were also good. The classic waffle was quite yum! Served with apple reduction and Calofirnia prunes, the waffles make a nice dessert. The portions are quite generous. Am glad the waiter warned us that one plate of appams meant 8 pieces! We almost ordered 2 plates but realised 1 was quite enough for 4 adults!
If you're visiting for the first time, you might find it a bit difficult to locate, because it hardly advertises itself. Look for V3 on the building and then you'll spot the nondescript nameplate- Fat Fanny's Cafe. I'm sure I'll visit again 😊
Liked the place very much. I took the kapitan's meal or the Captain's meal. Wholesome varieties like breakfast should be. Small quantities but filling. Mallu touch is awesome. Ambience take you back in time. Service is good too. Small space though
