This place is astounding , we had all the stuff people are recommending on fb. It was astounding. Also, the host was extremely knowledgeable about manglorean cuisine which made the experience even better.
This is my favourite restaurant. Been eating here for almost 3 years. The food is just amazing. Today we went there to pick up our food and sad to see the place was empty. Never seen it empty ever. But still they made our day. Got our prawn biyrani and it was the same awesome taste. Good job. Best in town.
The fish was so tasty...melted in mouth..perfect dish to cheer up your mood.. waiting to try more from this restaurant
Please add seal or tap to the box.Sometimes may be in hurry box is not tapee or sealed.
Food was very tasty, hygienic, ambience was good.
We tried crab pepper fry and fish rava tava fry. Both were good. Veg food is also nice. Service is good .. very economical. Must visit place.
Amazing mangalorean food. Loved the pulimunchi (spicy & tangy gravy) Ambience could be better though but the food was worth it..a must visit for seafood lovers..
I am a big sea food lover.awsome food
This restaurant is symbol of sea food. Ambience and service is good but some times you need wait for your turn but its worth. Taste and quality of food is excellent and you will touched be with local flavours. Must try if you like nonveg
Tastewise, probably the best Mangalore style sea food place in town
Had a great lunch at Marvanthe. Sanidul served us patiently and courteously. Must try the Sanidul dessert!
You can take a Mangalorean away from Mangalore but you can never take Mangalore away from a Mangalorean!
I'm always on the lookout for some good Mangalorean food. 'Maravanthe' had been on my list for quite some time now. I went here for lunch today and had an insane time!
The ambience isn't all that great. It's just a basic family restaurant. Nothing extraordinary.
Here's what we ordered:
1. Crab ghee roast (Must try)
2. Squid sukka
3. Prawn gassi (Must try)
4. Kundapur chicken curry
5. Grape refresher (Must try)
6. Homemade aam panna
7. Pundi
8. Neer dosa
9. Kori roti
10. Chocolate ice cream
Everything was so delicious! I have no complaints whatsoever. The taste was as authentic as it can get - I can vouch for that! And the best part is that the place is extremely reasonable. The quantity is phenomenal. I loved everything about this place. A big thumbs up for the food!
The service too is superb! The staff is extremely polite. I was genuinely impressed with their energy and cheerful attitude.
Overall, if you're craving some crazy good Mangalorean food, go to MARAVANTHE as soon as possible. You will come back immensely satisfied. Do give it a try!

One of the best restaurants in Indiranagaršš»
One of the finest Mangalorean restaurants in Bangalore. The food is just yum. The ambience is very relaxing and the staffs are caring and courteous. We loved the experience and will be visiting again soon.
Great restaurant . Been at this place twice and both the times it was a wonderful experience.Ā
Nice hospitality from the servers .

Food: 4/5

Ambience/Music: 5/5
This is authentic Mangalorean Cuisine.
We ordered:
Veg clear soup (Pathetic with too much black pepper added)
Bale Yele Masala (Anjal Fish) : This is steam cooked in banana leaf and my god the taste was amazing! The flavour of the fish was very well preserved and and went well with the green masala in which it was cooked.
Chicken Ghee Roast: This is the real deal. Dip into the dish holding a neer dosa in your hand and you would be a happy soul!
Chicken Gassi: Mangalorean style thick chicken curry. Didn't like it much because of strong presence of south-indian spices. It is again a personal choice. I am used to lip smacking punjabi kadhi chicken taste.. So it is difficult to adapt to South Indian main course dishes.
GadBad Icecream: A cocktail of different flavours along with fruits and cherries inside out (Nothing special about this)
The staff was very corteous and we felt at home with the pleasant smiles and prompt service.
Ambience is very good for a family setup. Light music plays in the background which sets up the mood for good conversation. A fresh departure from the loud nightlife places of Bangalore.
Overall, I loved the experience and definitely recommend it to first time/ experienced Mangalorean cuisine lovers.
Maravanthe is an absolute gem that surprisingly showed up quite late on our food radar. While Maravanthe is undoubtedly a seafood lovers delight, they do have a choice of vegetarian options whose preparation style is similar to the Mangalorean style of preparing seafood; baby-potato ghee roast for instance is an absolute must try. Some of the dishes that we have tried so far that are worth mentioning are anjal in the following styles - bale yele masala, masala fry, tava fry, rava tava fry, curry, and pulimunchi, prawn ghee roast and baby-potato ghee roast. Every one of these has been absolutely delicitous. However, the clear winner has been the bale yele masala - essentially a green masala coated fish wrapped in a banana leaf and steamed. The masala fuses into the fish so well that every bite is an explosion of delectably myriad flavors on your tongue.
The ambiance is warm, quite and cozy, the waiters are friendly, the service is reasonably quick, the crowd is just right (we have been here only on Saturday evenings though), and of course needless to reiterate, the food is heavenly. In short, a meal at Maravanthe is an evening with your family and/or friends, whose pleasantness would linger in your minds for a long time. One of the very few restaurants that I have rated with five stars so far.
Superb food. Superb service
The crab ghee roast is just amazing!
Excellent seafood and biryanis. The place is right on the main road and serves great authentic mangolorean cuisine. Their ghee roast is incredible and prawn ghee roast is to die for - with the perfect texture and taste. Ordered a portion with neer dosa and it was mind-blowing
gud food...nice interior location ..seatings... good food
The seafood here is really fresh and the staff is very courteous and guided us really well as to wat is a must try at maravanthe and the food from the paratha to the biryani to the fish were all just excellent.. I just feel the portion sizes could be a little more cause the taste is just exceptional.
This is the first time i ordered from here.I loved it ā¤ļø and it became my favourite!!! Chicken ghee roast is super goodš
I thought of trying out this place after a long search for good Mangalorean food. I must say I wasn't disappointed with my choice.
The food here is just amazing and authentic. We tried :
Hot and Sour chicken soup
Bangda rava tava fry
Clams Sukkha
Neer dosa
Appam
Chicken Ghee roast
Egg ghee roast
Mutton curry
The ghee roast and clams were just heavenly. I loved all of the dishes I tried here.
Quantity is decent and taste is great.
The ambience is also relaxed and we had a good time here.
Would recommend this to people who love coastal cuisine.
Thank you for the lovely culinary experience @Maravanthe
Nice place for sea food with good variety of options . It is located inside the building hence not much natural sunlight . The Zomato 1+1 offers were not there for any of the fish items which comes as a surprise. Anyways valet parking is available and the taste is good
Had Mutton Biriyani, Chicken Ghee Roast and some fish fry. It was good. The waiter was over-attentive (and I feel too conscious at such places), but had a good experience.
The food was finger licking good. We were suggested to try kingfish tava fry by the staff. It was delectable. The squid ghee roast was amazing. The staff were courteous. Ambience was good. A very happy experience. Would surely visit again. :)
My my.. what do I say about this place.. it's almost a sin to not dine here if you are a seafood lover. Masala fry, prawns butter garlic, sol kadhi and chicken rose curry is out of this world. Would rate it above 5* if possible. Last but not least the service is also excellent.. would be good if they can mention about Zomato gold benefits clearly before service. Will keep coming back.
I visited Maravanthe with my sister on a nice afternoon for lunch. We ordered an angel fish masala fry. I'm not a big fan of coconut oil but places like this are why my views are changing. The curry was very spicy and really delicious. We ordered a chicken ghee roast and neer dosa with it. The combination tasted really great but since this place specialises in sea food, the chicken did not seem as fresh as the fish. The sol kadhi is a mildly spicy drink that is great for digestion. I loved it.
I hope to visit this place again to try some more of their dishes.
I love to visit all ways here, thanks to serve good food I will come for foooood her again and again thanks to all staff for serving ummy and la jawab food with excellent service.
Ordered a pomfret tawa fry, best one ever had.
Mutton biriyani was a bit dry.
Cozy ambience, friendly staff

Must try place for some taste buds tingling Mangalorean cuisine. Every dish has a distinct flavour with such soothing aroma. Prawn ghee roast and neer dosa are a must try. Ragi manni is something new I tried here , a healthy but yummy dessert to finish off with.
I'm glad we came across this place and got to try some amazing flavoursome food. And a must mention about the warm and friendly staff makes the entire experience worthwhile.
This place takes you to Mangalore. The minute you enter it smells like Mangalore and the food made me nostalgic. The seafood is slightly over priced and quantity is way too less for the price. But the taste is so good so it's probably worth it.
Very much a family place with mouth watering prawn ghee roast , paired with beer dosa it was heavenly! Tried the Chicken Sukka as well in starters, which I wouldn't rate as absolute top notch. In the main course had the chicken pulimanchi which was good but the absolute scene stealer was the prawn ghee roast which I have mentioned before and also Sol kadi.
All dishes here are good, so go for it. Gold members beware. You will realize after going there that items 'as per catch' is not covered. What this means is that no fish item on the menu (and who goes to a manglorean restaurant to not eat fish) is covered. Only biryanis and steam rice will get covered for gold members. We felt that this was a sham way to get out of the +1 food for gold members because prawns and indeed most types of fish they serve are now available regularly. Most of these restaurants have tie ups.
Loved this place. For authentic Mangalore food, do visit this place. I tried the Prawn Ghee Roast, Chicken Sholay kabab, Neer dosas , Parotha, Chicken roast gravy , Fish biryani. All the dishes tasted excellent and I had no complaints.
The Blueberry Coffee fruit juice also tasted great and was refreshing.
Zomato Gold is an added advantage.
Had the chicken meals, chicken ghee roast, neer dosa and seer fish fry masala and sol kadi...yummy in my tummy. The food was tad spicy but i loved every morsel of it...definatey going back there
Such an amazing coastal food. Chicken and fish are must try here.
Yummy ghee roast goes good with neer dosa.
Service need some improvement, but would still rate 3/5. Cost is average and food is worth every penny spent.
Would love to visit this place again and again
Had crab ghee roast and bangada masala fry. The taste was amazing! Surprising part is best food getting served in reasonable prices. Must visit
Excellent Seafood they serve. There seer fish/king fish tawa fry and prawns with cocunut is very delicious. The food quality is also good. Very fresh and good hygiene.
The food and ambience was great !!
Do try the prawn ghee roast and neer dosa.
The service makes the whole dining experience very pleasant and worth it
I have never written a review before this. After my dinner tonight at Maravanthe, I feel compelled to write one. I have had their fish thali with a starter multiple times for a quick lunch during office hours, but this was the first time I tried some other dishes.
We ordered a Chicken Ghee Roast (usual favorite), Bale yele pomfret, Kundapur chicken curry, pundi and parotas. Every dish was nothing less than delicious. Ended the meal with the absolutely light, just-the-right-amount-of-sweet Coconut pudding.
Head there for a perfect meal and your soul will be just as happy as your taste buds!
Excellent Squid Ghee Roast & Neer Dosa.
As the name indicates, Maravanthe, is a restaurant that specialises in coastal cuisine. The fare is typically Mangalorean ranging from a wide variety of fish to neer dosa and pundi. I have always found the fish to be fresh and the preparations authentic. If you are in the mood for a quick working lunch, you could try the veg, fish or chicken thalis. Service is prompt. The place definitely merits a visit.
Itās a very good place. Enjoyed the freshness of sea food. The wait staff are super well informed about the catch of day, specialty food. Itās all prepared fresh. We requested for low spice or no spice food for kid and they made it so well. Very enjoyable. Make sure you have enough space in tummy to enjoy all dishes.
A minute walk, from the Indiranagar metro, this place is a must-try for the lovely food that bursts with flavours and great service. The menu encompasses a wide range of dishes and the chef does justice to the Mangalorean cuisine.
Ambience - The decor has paintings that set off coastal vibes as one steps into the restaurant.Ā
Drinks - Kokum Juice (50/-) and Pink Iced refresher (don't recall the exact name). I personally loved the Kokum Juice.Ā
Soup - We had ordered the Chicken soup (150/-). The broth felt hard and raw. I did not like the soup but thankfully the rest of the meal made up for this disaster soup !!
Appetizers - Chicken ghee roast (275/-) and Chicken Sukka (225/-). I loved both of them. The spice levels were perfect. The Sukka was my personal favourite. The grated coconut with chicken was bliss.
Mains - Fish curry and rice. The curry was delightful and I loved every bit of it.
Desserts - Raggi Manni (100/-). Do give it a try !!! I had never had a dessert made of Raggi and was excited to try it. The restaurant does a great job of putting up local dishes and ensuring they taste great.Ā
Service - Polite and great service.
Rating - 4/5
We had used Infinity Dining experience for this meal. Seafood was not included in it, and we wanted to try the fish. So we had decided we would pay for it. But after the meal, we were told that it was on the house (which did come as a pleasant surprise).Ā
Pointers - When using Infinity Dining experience do ask the staff about the quantity of the dish and let them know if you want a reduced portion :)
We went for lunch to Marvanthe. The restaurant was jam packed on the weekend and had to wait for 20 mins before we were able to secure a table.
The service was exceptional and food was ready not long after we ordered.
The Chicken dishes like Puli munchi and Fish fry were mouth watering. Puli munchi and Chicken Curry goes well with neer dosa and pundi. Ragi manni for desert was exceptional as well.
Must try dishes will be Pundi Gasi, Fish Meals and Ragi Manni
I would highly suggest this place if you want to taste coastal cuisine.

This is the best place to visit in Bangalore if you are craving for an authentic mangalorean cuisine.. the sea foods are really fresh and delicious, my all time favourite is ghee roasted prawns. Try here Neer dosa with chicken sukka..thatās a must thing to eat..you can try kori roti which is very crispy rice papads, then in desert u can go for ragi manni which i really enjoyed š
Maravanthe Coastal Cuisine is an absolute gem for seafood lovers! Our meal was a feast of flavors boiled rice paired with silver fish curry, seer and bangada tawa fry, and the neeru dosa with prawns ghee roast were all exquisite. My mom and I couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything tasted.
What sets Maravanthe apart, though, is the humble service provided by Neelkand. His genuine warmth and attentive care elevated our dining experience. It felt like more than just a meal, it felt like being welcomed into someone's home.
The cozy atmosphere and the delectable dishes make Maravanthe a standout choice for seafood enthusiasts. We left with happy hearts and satisfied taste buds, already making plans for a return visit. If you're craving a delightful seafood experience with a touch of genuine hospitality, Maravanthe Coastal Cuisine is the place to be. Looking forward to our next visit, this restaurant has earned a special place in our hearts!

Do try
This was my first visit to Maravanthe Coastal Cuisine and o boy it was worth it. I was a bit skeptical to visit this place since it was a bit far from where I stay(Malleshwaram). But then I decided to give it a shot since I had read good reviews about this place and I can say that all those reviews are geniune after I had the food there. For starters, the ambiance is perfect for you to take your family and friends out. The staff are also very courteous. Now, about the food. We were two of us and wanted to try only the sea food this time. We ordered Anjal Tawa Fry, Prawn Ghee Roast, Bangude Rava Fry, Prawn Butter Garlic, Kori Rotti, White Rice with Anjal Pulimunchi. Believe me, this is one of the finest sea food I've had in my life. I've a livid traveller and have had sea food at many places across India. But this meal has a special place in my memories. We also ordered Kokum Soda which is very refreshing and we also ordered Coconut Pudding and Gulab Jamun in dessert. Coconut Pudding was delicious. A special mention about the owner of this place Mr. Sachin who was standing right there at the door entrance and was taking care of his guests and was very kind and professional. We also gave him some suggestions which he accepted it with a very humble smile on his face. Overall, i would highly recommend this place to those who are out there in search of authentic Mangalore Seafood Cuisine in Namma Bengaluru.
Great location! A short walk from the Indiranagar metro station for coastal cuisine. Fish rawa fry was too good - crispy on the outside, juicy inside. . Chicken ghee roast was good as well but i would prefer it to be little more spicy and the chicken could have been cooked softer. I just loved the drinks, Solkadi and kokum juice. Though I haven't tried, Thalis seem to be popular here.
Are you craving for authentic taste of Coastal Cuisine from Karnataka. This is the perfect place for you..
Yes, the taste & flavours are so automatic & good. No extra spices or any extra colours added. Loved their signature dish Prawns Ghee Roast with Neer Dosa along with Fresh Kane Rawa Fry,Angel Fry ,Chicken Sukka, Panner Ghee Roast & much more...In mains I have tried Kori Roti with Chicken gravy,Pundi with fish curry,Ghee Roast Biryani.. in desserts not to miss Ragi Panni Coconut pudding..
This place is highly recommended for all the sea food lovers.
