Timeless Charm and Culinary Excellence
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the hospitality of the New Modern Hotel, and it truly lives up to its name. Nestled in authenticity and history, this hotel seamlessly blends the charm of the past with modern comforts.
The culinary journey at New M
Popularly known as NMH, we dropped in for it's warm, old South bangalore charms and as the old-timers recall, the tasty Sambar and Idly! Hygienic and quick service with a range of breakfast.
A definite will-come-back place!
The place has a warm feeling and the food is quite affordable. The taste held upto my expectations. I had the Masala Dosa, Rava , Thatte Idli, Badam milk (was not the usual badam milk as they used powder to make it ) and buttermilk.
This place is a blast from the past.
The prices are on point. Food simple, no overly loaded oil/butter and taste is amazing.
Been visiting here over the years and the taste has remained constant.
Parking is a challenge for cars but 2 wheeler parking is in abundance.
Their lunch is simple: puris,
Had been here for a get together and lunch with old colleague. Food is very tasty and service is satisfactory. Loved the place

One of the old and authentic breakfast restaurants in the Bangalore Central area. Their Sambar is definitely unique and tastes superb and different from other restaurants. Dishes to try Idli, Vada, Masala Dose and Badam halva. Car parking might be a challenge.
Good taste, service, food variety etc.
Far better than the non-hygienic Hotel Janata (that is more famous yet disgusting, because its hygiene is the worst, I found 2 ants in idli).
The hotel is quite big, atleast for my liking, I personally love big spacious hotels (I mean not in the 5-star restaura
It is one of the oldest hotel in Bangalore. But the taste is still the same, especially sambar. All breakfast items are tasty. Thatte idly should always be available, whenever we ask it wont be there. On weekends it's a bit crowded.
Enjoy the charm of good old Bangalore at the New Modern Hotel, popularly called NMH. The quaint setting, warm and friendly service takes you back in time. The menu is traditional Karnataka cuisine - Thatte Idli, Vada, Dosa Meals and Coffee with Mixture. Just opposite the hotel, you'll find the NMH B
Have been thinking of visiting this one of the oldest food outlets of bangalore for a long time, finally got time and opportunity to get an experience for breakfast on a lazy Sunday...what to say!!! The Dosa is the nicest among all the available tiffins, the softest dosas u get over here....snack it
We visited the restaurant for a tumbler of coffee and sweets. I enjoy the old world charm of this restaurant where staff are friendly, efficient and suggest me to try out one of their offerings. Unlike swanky restaurant, this restaurant is purely functional. I loved their Poori, Badam Halwa and Myso
The coffee here is a not to miss. Best sambar, have it with idli dipped in, also go in for masala dosa and dont forget to order the badam halwa to finish your meal. Old school and traditional style, it's worth the wait, waiters make sure you get a table and the food comes fast and piping hot. Enjoy.
Food was awesome. We ordered their famous masala dosa, bread toast and puris. All three were excellent and tasty.
Fresh Mysore Pak must try, Boondi ladoos are also too good here. Masala dosa , kesari bhath, Binds soup is a must try
One of the oldest restaurants of the city , still retains old world charm with same decor and furniture not changed in decades , menu too is very much the same for ages, masala dosa is good and not stuffed with ghee like new age restaurants ( rameshwaram and VB comes to mind). Location too is unbea
Visited the hotel may be after 30yrs. Wonderful masala dosa and mouthwatering baadaam halva. Taste is the same. Best wishes keep it up.
