Food is very nice and ambience is also very good. Service was quick. Pricing is on little higher side. Must try soya chaaps, masala papad, paneer gravy & starter items

Had lunch there , it was good and tasty Punjabi food. Kulcha was fine but like the paneer gravy subji and daal was really tasty. Ambiance was ok. Ate Ghar di thali and paneer combo.
Best place to go to if you’re craving for authentic punjabi food. It’s extremely affordable. The service is quick and the staff is very friendly. The ambience can be improved, though. :)

Be carefull and dont order in one go. The quantity given is too much. Loved the masala rumali. Palak shirba wqs excellent. Must visit for authentic punjabi food.
Went for a small team dinner and we relished the dishes.
Ordered : Bbq platter and maharaja platter
Soya chap in the platter was good. For main course chole kulche were delicious.Matka lassi which was nothing but frozen yoghurt..added icing on the cake.
I will recommend all the vegetarians and also non vegetarians to relish the Punjabi cuisine here once.
Best of the best chaaps you can get in bangalore with authentic Punjabi tadka and love in food.... Just try any chaap here and you will know y it's just WOW...
Awesome food has been served.malai paneer and romali papad is my favourites..just loved the food..one thing I want to change in the restaurant is d price..it can be little reasonable
Are you looking for a place to take your family out for a good dinner, then this is the place you should be on your way to:
They have some of the most interesting Amritsari Kulcha's. The Laba lab kulcha definitely sound interesting and a good one to have it on your platter. Their paneer tikki biryani is equally delicious. The aroma of their biryani tempts you for having more. They are a little on the expensive side but it is worth it.
The place looks interesting with Baba chatkora hanging on the wall and a projector projecting some fun hindi songs. It is made to order, so they take sometime before they serve you. But definitely a fun place to hang out with your family.
Great food&&&Good staff...**** four stars 😀😀....but one thing I would like to suggest baba chatkora...plz reduce ur speaker volume...or may be shut it down...we need to scream to speak to each other....and remove the projector as well...since ppl can hav a better experience with your great tasting food...
This place is almost 30 kms from my house but the food craving for this place will make you brave the bangalore traffic for the mouth watering food. I was literally drooling when my food came. Must must try.
Great ambience. Yummmyyy fooddd
Pocket friendly rates.
When I went here for the third time, I ordered a few dishes and it tasted bad not like before. When I asked them why.? They replied saying we have changed our chefs so sorry for the inconvenience sir.
I had Chap, Kulcha-Chhole and Lassi over there.
Chap - Had achari and malai ones. Both were really tasty. But it's bit costly.
Kulcha-Chhole - Stuffing, quantity, taste - everything was real good.
Lassi - Oh it's a must try. You may find 100rs small kullhad bit more. But the thickness and taste of it will help you ignore that.
All and all, small but nice go to place for people looking for this cuisine.
Baba chatkora is the only place I look up to for Punjabi food. Like right from the masala papad to the lassi are just so good that I can't resist myself from not ordering them. The issues I faced was the space is too less and I'm not really a soya person so I didn't like the soya starters. Rest everything is extremely brilliant.
The ambience is nice. It looks like a Punjabi Dhaba Inside. The seats and tables towards the wall are not quite comfortable. Food is tasty. But quite oily and has excess masala. The service is good. The paneer is very soft and yummy. Curd is served in an earthen pot. It is delicious.
Items ordered - Aloo Kulcha, Dal Makhani Combo
Cost for 2 - 500 bucks
Service was quick and taste is very authentic.
Restaurant was kind enough to provide rice in place of one lacha paratha.
Dal makhani, kulcha and lacha paratha were amazing.
5/5 for food!
If you are nearby and looking for a fulfilling lunch, you should check this place out 🤘
A must visit to have Delhi/Punjab typical taste. Kulchas are mouth watering. Although you are full but it will leave you craving for more. Would love to visit again.
After btm layout lip smacking experience.. went for baba chatkora basavangudi... ordered same menu..
Onion kulcha and lassii.
Its all tasted nice...👌👌 4 RATING
-----BUT BUT BUT btm outlet onion kulcha and cholley was tooo yummy... plz ask your chef to take that secret receipe..from btm outlet...
-----AMBIENCE here is nice AC... and and quite bigger menu.. for all... PLEASE... MAKE YOUR BABA bigger size... thats USP of your outlet.. A SELFIE WITH BABA CHATKORA ☺
This place servers lip smacking chaap. It was worth travelling 15 km just for that. Other than that they have amazing daal makhani and stuff kulche. Also, lassi is a must try.
Another positive point is reachability. It's located just below the siuth end circle metro station
I have been to this outlet for around 3-4times. Great food and service always!
The last time I visited this,I had ordered mix kulcha, Ghar ki than, matka lassi. We were enquiring about the chaaps and they suggested an out of menu chaap called the Jungli chaap.
The kulchas are amazing and 1 plate is enough for 2 people.
Ghar ki thaali is just as the name suggests, homely and satisfying
Chaap is heavy since it's soya chunks but tastes good.
Lassi was bit different from the last time I had and felt more like thick curd with sugar.
The rumali masala papad is also a must try for first timers.

A good place to enjoy the typical Delhi/Punjabi taste. The kulcha combo is more than enough for one person and works pretty well for the pocket.
I have been here twice and tried the kulcha combo both times. Once it was Paneer kulcha and mixed the other time. Though, the chhole curry given with kulcha doesn’t do justice with the taste, I loved the dal makhni which comes as an add on.
This is located just next to south end circle metro station and overall a great place to hang out. However, the place is a little small and gets crowded on weekends, so plan the visit accordingly. I’d surely recommend everyone to give it a try for authentic punjabi cravings.
Yummy yummy yummy
Less spacing
Service is good
Ambience is decent
Authentic Punjabi food
Cravings for Punjabi or north Indian cuisine, then this is the place
Per person costs Rs 600-700
Oye Oye!!!
The matka lassi was really relishing.Haven't had such good lassi in a very long time, It had the perfect amount of sweetness.
The stuffed mushroom Tikka, stuffing was veggies and paneer. It was spicy and tasted good.
We also ordered Masala rumali paapad is was a major let down. It was bland and slightly stale.
Main course we ordered chef speciality dhaba style paneer gravy with butter roti, nicely seasoned and it was delicious.
Service was really slow and they were least bothered about serving or taking the order. Even after repeated requests.
It's located near south end metro Station, light music and decent decor.
It's definitely not a pocket friendly place. But some of items like I mentioned is worth the money.

amazing atmosphere. had a really nice get together with my college friends. none of us had been to this place before but it really lived up to our expectations. the decor is very modern with a canteen like feel. they had wooden benches n a screen for tv,we sports.
food was essentially Punjabi. we had a new platter as starter and soda Shikanji to drink. soya chaaps were delectable n also dahi ke sholay. chole kulche was good too.
A taste of Amritsar in Bengaluru. Loved the rustic ambience even though the seating capacity is limited. So book your table before dropping by as this place gets very busy. The service is excellent and the food makes you lick your fingers. The Amristari Kulcha is a delicacy and the matka lassi is not to be missed.
all food was delivered good but the dal was not properly packed... thank you
For authentic Punjabi veg food u must visit this place 😛
Taste - 8/10

Food was really amazing and will like to visit again. Bad thing was taking service its dam slow like hell 😓 and space is really conjusted .
Very good Punjabi food.
Starters recommendation-chaaps(Afghan) .Must try -matka lassi.
Better book in advance on weekends.
Parthas are just stumtus
Visited Baba chatkora today noon for lunch . Had the afghani chap over there and it was brilliant. It was so soft and delicious that a non vegetarian can easily relate it to a non veg dish.
The lassi is a must try here you can’t resist to have another one
Cheers to this budget friendly place with yummy food.
Amazing ambience, Wonderful and yummilicious food and excellent service...Totally loved d experience.........total worth of money and defnitely place to visit again
The perfect Punjabi food..! Paneer kulcha with chole, Afghani chaap tasted extremely good and fills your tummy well.. Matka lassi and soda drink are refreshing..
Ambience is quite good for family and friends visits. Also apt music played in background for your mood.

An authentic punjabi restaurant in Basavanagudi! Yes you heard that right. Just the right ambience, right music and mouth watery ,buttery food ! Must try items are the chaps and matka lassi! The Amritsari kulchas were delicious too! There is Wallet parking option here but other than that it’s usually hard to find parking for cars.
The ambience is awesome, as soon as you enter the restaurant, you will get that "Punjabi" feeling with the jazzy music. The food is great, DO NOT leave the restaurant without the Matka Lassi, it's yummy. Great visit.
Punjabi food in the heart of Basavangudi.liked there chole kulcha & Lassi.Masala papad(roomali roti ) is different here, need more than 2 ppl for tat.feel bit overpriced .
A small place serving extremely delicious food.
It was a family dinner and since we are pure vegetarians, we wanted a place which serves veg food only. While we were browsing we found this place and decided to give it a try.
Ordered soya chaaps which was ok-dint excite my tastebuds much. We ordered kulchas - paneer, aloo, mixed. They were super delicious. I did not like the chole though but dal makhani was yumm.
Will recommend this place to everybody who loves Punjabi cuisine.
P.S - don't count calories, it's going to be heavy with extra butter ;-)
Went with my family at 11pm , i.e. pretty much late. But limited food was available which is a great thing. Took Punjabi Thali which was yummy , buttery and very tasty. Good service and great ambience. Worth visiting not only once but 1+. But make sure you do a workout next morning 😉.
I tried veg thali and quantity wise it's good enough for one person.Food is good, specially raita was really yummy.Ambience is nice and also the staffs were polite.

A great addition to the punjabi joints in Bangalore. Closest to one’s you would get in North Indian. The mix veg and onion parantha was absolutely delicious. Crunchy, buttery goodness. The soya chop was super delicious too. Service was on point, even with a slight delay in getting orders.
Must visit if you are looking for authentic North Indian food.menu has variety of options to choose from. The paneer is very soft and fresh.also don't miss out the Lassi..it's awesome!
The place served great food, however this place is extremely noisy, and the prices were slightly overboard and the food was too oily and heavy
My favourite spot for a proper punjabi, North Indian lunch/dinner. The ambiance is small and stuffy and tends to get noisy but the food makes it all worth it. Their Dal makhani is absolutely delish and I like the introduction of chaaps in their menu which can be improved much but still is decent. Their huge rumali papad is a perfect snack with their yummy lassi. Overall, a nice place to go for an absolutely delicious dinner...

I love this place... its very near to me and food is awesome.Tasty matka lassi and chaats. Flavoured Pani pooris are good. Soya chaps starters are ultimate.
Roti platter also too good with nice tastier sides.
I feel its priced little high.
Soya Chaap..!
Anyone who has had it even once they won't deny the fact that it is out of the world..
Delhi and Punjab are famous for Soya Chaap and the varieties are innumerable...
But having Soya chaap in Bangalore I really couldn't believe my ears when my friend told me about it.
Taste- Authentic Delhi Style
Ambience - Typical out of the box
Price - little bit on higher side.. but Yes if you want to have something so authentic there is a cost involved in it. So no need to regret just go and grab your bite of Chaap..!
This small little place serving Punjabi food is amazing. Go there to try their Amritasri Parathas & other quick bites.
And yes don’t forget to try the lassi too
Baba.. gajab! Even though it's pure veg, I loved it so so much. You should certainly order their chaaps. I had the masala chaap. Now I'm a fan. Amritsari kulcha was alright, not the kind you'd expect if you've ever had them in Punjab. Unfortunately cause of the crowd there you might have to end up eating bhature with daal makhni instead of chole! Yup, minus one right there. Nevertheless, I'm going to go there on a weekday someday and hog on all the other stuffs soon. Oh yah, the lassi was spot on too. Just the way I like it.
This place was on my want-to-go list for quite some time now. Finally happened to visit the place for a quick chatpata chats.
I must admit that I was clean bowled by their Dahi ke Sholey. Hung curd and crisp outer layer made a perfect combo and I have already decided to repeat this on my next visit.
The soya chaaps are something that I decided to order after reading reviews here. They were tasty too and my team loved it the most.
The pricing is a bit on the higher side. RV road definitely needed a calm and tasty place vegetarian like this. Its near to the south end metro station and hence easily accessible.
They do have good stuff on the menu but the above mentioned dishes(starters) were my favourite on my first visit. There were people walking in with family on a weekday. Hope to taste much chatpata from this place soon.
It's a typical Punjabi style cuisine. Food is very tasty. And must try Sweet lassi. And we tried starters soya chops, mushroom tikkA, papad all very tasty. Ambience, cleaninless all r nice. Prices are little expensive. Definitely going back to tried the rest.
Fantastic! Their Amritsari kulchas were phenomenal and so was their malai paneer. Now this is what is yummy, unpretentious Punjabi food that will leave your soul satisfied without emptying your wallet.
Delicious chaaps, Amritsari kulcha are amazing, cannot miss to eat Desi ghee aloo tikki 😀😀😀 it's a must try place though I felt the prices of the drinks they serve could be a little lower...
Was planning for some veg restaurant in and around jayanagar.
Suddenly found this. For dine for 3 we ordered
Malai panner slightly over priced but taste and quality was good.
Matka lassi it's awesome..
And I ordered Gobi kulcha and onion kulcha I thought it was over priced but I was wrong. They served 4 pcs each.. and it's one of the yammiest stuffed kulchas I have ever had...
For a bill amount of 900 every one we're happy and tummy full.
Definitely ll come back.
Undoubtedly, the best punjabi food is served there.
Bc’s lassi is a must try.
The service is just good
It is a must visit place if u are a foodie lover.
Luved the food and service. Friendly service and food was tasty with the right amount of spice and flavorful. Chats are served outside like Pani puri but since we had been there in a big group they agreed to serve it inside.
Was staying at The President Hotel next door here and came out to explore street food. Came to this place serving Indian food. Loved the entire experience... Too much north Indian, fast service and good food and great prices. They have a dedicated party space as well

Loved the food, the ambience, friendly staff. We were three friends and we ordered the Lassi which had the right amount of sweetness... And the chaap was finger licking good that we ordered another one. We ordered the paneer amritsari kulcha which was awesome. And Shahi paneer Thali - this is best... Coz you get sweet, roti, rice. Everything we ate was completely worth it.

Small but lovely place. Great ambience. Crazily crowded.
Completely vegetarian.
Only North Indian cuisine.
Enormous portions. (So order cautiously)
Great to have something like this in south Bengaluru.
MUST VISIT.
Baba Chatkora is a typical North Indian joint with a good vegetarian food to offer. Not sure what's with the name because "Chatkora" is not even a Hindi word, atleast not a proper one. Anyways coming to the food, we were 11 so we pretty much ordered everything, from platter till chats, from thalis till kulcha. Food was really good but let's talk about problems,
# Sunday afternoon, heavily crowded and heavily understaffed.
# Not sure why the server assigned to our table was pissed. He wasn't talking properly and was very rude.
# We had to ask to get the table cleaned, twice, otherwise they had no intentions of doing it.
# One order was wrongly served and were forced to eat that.
# No one hung around to serve, one of us had to do it for remaining 10, like a server.
# Lassi was amazing but couple of batches we got were made of burnt milk curd, wasn't eatable, returned, was accepted by restaurant staff.
# Shikanji served wasn't Shikanji, it was maybe a jaljeera but not Shikanji, moreover it was served in a small petty glass, not at all worth ₹80
So what was good,
# Chats - Amazing, especially aaloo tikki
# Kulcha - Amazing, especially cheese one
# Lassi - Mind-blowing
# Gulab jamun - Totally Ninja
# Dahi ke shole - Too good
My report card
Price – 6/10

Will I go back – Sure, just for food

Located near South end metro station. Walk in here for genuine North Indian vegetarian food. The ambience is cool feels lively with the Bollywood songs playing in the background. It's a small and cozy restaurant. I went with a friend and had rajma chawal and kulcha chole (the quantity was sufficient) the total bill was Rs.410/-. Thus prices are moderate neither too expensive nor too cheap. You can check out the pics of the menu for the same.
Exclusive vegetarian food, bit costly but tasty food. Comfortable place to have a meal, there is large TV and some nice music in background, mostly Hindi songs. Have eaten couple of times and take out, must try. Manchow soup and thali
I have been to this restaurant couple of times. They serve best kulcha, parata and paneer Tikka. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you guys are looking for some nice kulchas and parathas. Paneer Tikka is one of the best in the menu. I would rate 5/5 for food, 3/5 for ambience and 5/5 for service.
A truly authentic heavy Punjabi experience. Great ambience for a casual eat out and really great food. Nothing out of the world but authentic Punjabi though.
A real awesome ambience!! A spirit of north in the heart of Bangalore!! Really loved the food, worth the money we pay.
A very delicious North Indian dish. Everything I had we're good to the last bit. Will visit many times again. Keep the same taste going.
Amazing food ... Best Amritsari kulcha .. malai panner .. very friendly staff ... Good ambiance
Awesome Kulchas, Delhi Soya Chaaps is a must try, Lassi is yummy, other starters and Chaats are also very good.
Totally authentic North Indian restaurant with rich Punjabi food experience. Peppy ambiance with music . It's expensive but somewhat worth the price. Excellent service .
Had been for a casual dinner with another couple on a weekend, first off, the waiting time was more than expected, which was a good sign. More the people better is the food is the principle which is followed. Then you feel its pricey, which can be later justified with the quantity and quality of the food. Then comes the waiting time for food, which is more compared to any other similar restaurants. Its a very cozy place and always plays punjabi music, which is kind of cool. It sets the whole mood for soulful punjabi food.
It's really awesome, it's nice place to hangover with your family and friends, good food which complements your time and Panjabi songs going will make you feel dancing. I loved it, but I guess it's little costly.
