This place is located in basvangudi near National college. Have been visiting here since 10 years and the taste is maintained the same. Went here for dinner and since I wanted to have something light, ended up having Ragi Dosa. Wanted to experiment a bit since this was my first time visting this hotel and also trying Ragi Dosa was in iteself was an experience for me. Well must say I wasn't disappointed. It was very good and the chutney that's given along with it compliments the taste. It costs 45/- which I think is priced on the higher side, but then this not being a regular fare I felt it was ok.. You get 2 Ragi Dosa's in a plate and it's quite filling. I again visited the next morning and needless to say I had the same dosa and it was good.. Good one guys!!

A truly legendary place for the localities of Basavangudi.
The hotel situated near Jain college has been here for years now.
They serve a small range of items from Ragi Doe-Sae, Akki rotti, Rice bath, Ice cream sundaes etc.
They do not serve Idlis or vadas.
What you must try is the Ragi rotti that is so full of flavour, served with two chutneys and sagu if asked for.
The Akki rotti is also one of the best I have ever eaten. Crispy and goes well with the chutneys.
Finish it off with a cup of Chai or coffee and that's how you end a rainy day 😀

I had ghee rice, pulav,masala dosa, coffee and badam milk on 2 diffrrent days.

Their masala dosas are to DIE for, crispy and with a delicious aloo stuffing. The chutneys served, red and green, are both extremely good.
Mango milkshake is another favourite, creamy and fruity.
Their other great dishes are rava dosa, masala puri, grilled sandwich, and fruit salad.
Would definitely recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.

It's a self-service restaurant that has a lot of beverages and also some snacks in their menu. I ordered a badam milk shake and it was really tasty with good quality. They have many options to choose from. I didn't try their snacks yet but I am sure they must be good.

The chaat was a disaster! The dosa is good, but UK next door does a better job of it. The highlight of the place was the amazing ice cream Sundae called Golden Cherry King. It was loaded with 4 scoops of ice cream flavors, dry fruits, nuts, cherry and tutti frutti with a splash of honey on top. From the first spoon it makes you go yummmmmmm... Must try dish. The masale puri is the best!! And the coffee is just amazing!! We always have a super good time whenever we visit this amazing place. We have been there countless number of times now.. Located in the bustling V V Puram area, this 'darshini' style joint is an amazing place for dosas & a variety of 'rottis' (the Karnataka variety, akki rotti, ragi rotti, et al). I love the crisp Masale dose with the spicy red chutney inside, served with coconut chutney that is not watery! The rottis and other varieties of dosas are delicious too, some of my cousins would insist that the onion uttappam is to die for. Apart from this, they serve sandwiches & juices. Surprisingly, they do not have idli vada on their menu.
A regular for the last 4-5 years, I can vouch for their consistency. Must visit, I'd like to insist :)

This place is popular for its ice creams and sundaes. I have visited this place several times. The South Indian items are quite good in taste. I have tried different dosas and akki roti as well. Only issue I have is the quantity of curry/chutney they give with the dosas. They offer decent sandwiches as well and are quite good for the price.
They do have have chaat sections which is quite bad so not worth trying out.
Coming to the ice creams, the variety is good, hot chocolate fudge is quite nice but in some sundaes, they just put anything and everything which just spoils them.
A tad overpriced IMO. The grilled sandwiches are pretty good but the chutneys for the dosas were bland. The dosa itself tastes really good, though, and so does the aloo inside. Juices are pretty good too. They do have a bit of a hard time dealing with large crowds, though.

Its located next to famous UK and serves south Indian dishes along with chats, chinese and some north Indian dishes. 2 years ago I was a regular visitor to this restaurant for lunch and chats. When I recently visited this restaurant the quality of food was same just as it use to be before.
Its a self service restaurant with stand-eat option, since kitchen occupies major part of this restaurant dining area is bit small but manageable.
FOOD: I ordered Masal Dosa recently and it was too good. I just loved the crispness. They provide both coconut chutney and garlic-red chilly chutney with Dose which adds up more deliciousness. It was a perfect Bangalore Style Masal Dosa. Apart from dose, its very famous for its chats item. Whether its Masal Puri, Bhel, Manchurians, Sandwiches, ice cream or pastry they deliver it with perfection. Juices will be too good and I like the varieties of Ice Cream available here.
Service is quick and friendly. But sometimes servers get confuse due to crowd. Parking is not at all a problem. Its a wonderful place to stop and have breakfast or chats.

This place initially wasn't that great. UK was miles better. But few years ago UK lost its variety and cc took over. Chats,sandwiches and everything non South Indian is better here compared to UK but for South Indian and dal roti UK is still the leader.

Located on KR road, parking is found easily, do not park in front of the hotel cops will be on a lookout. Its in the ideal location, all the students from Jain college are found here during lunch hours. Service is quick enough. Its not very pricey also.

I better call this restaurant as "Memories".I spent half of my life here for the breakfast and lunch when i was studying in National College.I remember price use to be very cheap during 2004 to 2007 now i guess its costly.Price of Masala Dosa was 12 rupees and now it is 40 rupees :-(Only disadvantage is "No Service" apart from that Dosa's are really good and Chats are some what okThe Chutney which they provide with Dosa's are too good...Decent Darshini Ambiance and It will be too crowded in the Lunch time and morning Breakfast time.If you guys are passing in KR Road, do stop and have a quick masala dosa here

I say that this is the only place beside a National College students can visit. No other restaurants near by. I visited 2 times. But the taste , quality and quantity is where it stands one step ahead from all.

One should come here for Dosa's. And bisibelebath is yumm here but available mostly on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
