What a Restaurant! Spot on.
I ordered appetisers like Hot and Sour Soup. It’s wow. After so many years I completed whole portion of Soup.
Amritsari Machi : flavour of hing , hint of tamarind and super crunchy outside. I just love it
Lawernce Road Murgh: Chicken is succulent absolutely cooked well. Flavour a lasoon was good
Ordered Entree like Jeera Rice and Puran singh ki chicken tari
Jeera Rice is Good but the flavour of Tari is absolutely spot on. Flavour of Garam Masala is Vibrant. No Masala is overshadowing anyone.absouletly Perfect.
Then comes Gulab Jamun. After having gulab jamun one word come to mind OMG.
My Family decided to visit Yellow Chilli on 31st Dec 2019 night. Found a very decent ambience although less crowded. Every Veg item we ordered was awesome, tasty ( I felt like Chef was specially preparing these items for us )😀. Overall great place to visit with Family, friends. Thank you Yellow Chilli team for taking me to North Area for sometime while having your delicious Veg items.
Good Food & Service !!
I had read from past reviews that the service is a little slow, but since i visited on a weekday, didn't face this issue.
We were a group of 10 people and got the center table.
Since it was a Tuesday, the restaurant was not much crowded .
We opted for a Buffet. Most of them in our group opted for VEG Buffet.
In many places only starters are served in table and for Main course we will have to serve ourselves.
But in this restaurant the staff served main course too, which was a different experience.
There was a welcome drink.
For starters, there was Manchow Soup,Panner Tikka, Baby corn & French Fries.
Main course had different types of Bread/Rotis, 2 different curries along with Biryani & Curd Rice.
And in the desserts there was Gulab Jamoon & Ice cream.
All the items were very tasty and service was pretty good.
I would suggest to visit on a weekday for better and peaceful experience.
When it comes to Indian cuisine, Yellow chilli always comes to the front. The amazing menu beautifully created by chef Sanjeev Kapoor from the flavours across the country treats you with the most authentic dishes.
This was my first visit to yellow chilli in Bangalore and truly have met all my expectations.
.
We tried the mixed non-veg platter with Bhatti prawns, Amratsari fish, chicken tandoori, everything on this platter was perfectly grilled and the flavours so well mixed up. Then we had some dahi ke kebabs made up of pure dahi, soft and fresh. One of the best I have ever had. The Chowringhee chilli chicken had the authentic taste of the streets of Kolkata, perfectly made in chilli sauce. Zaffrani kalmi kebab with saffron flavoured chicken, the juice went inside so well through the cuts in the meat.
.
For maincourse we tried the chef's signature dish, Shyam Savera, where smalls balls of spinach and panner are dipped in makkhani gravy with some butter naan. We ended on a sweet note with a delicious Shahi Tukda, the bread was very crispy. Everything was a perfetion.

The Yellow Chilli, a casual dining restaurant located in Jayanagar. The menu is curated by a famous celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor himself.
This is one of the few restaurants that focus only on serving some of the and finest Indian cuisine. Very famous, popular and regional specific dishes can be found in the menu. Frankly the best Indian food restaurant.
Ambience of the place is minimal yet elegant, lit, decent and spacious. Light music in the background.
Visited on a weekend for dinner, attracts good crowd. Tried quite a few dishes and my oh my the flavors, the spices, the richness just unbelievable.
* Dahi ke Kabab, hung curd cakes which is stuffed with mango chutney. A must try.
* Mixed grill platter, a platter consisting of 4 non veg starters. Each very unique in texture and flavor.
* Zaffarni Murgh Kalmi, now this is a perfectly spiced and cooked chicken drumsticks.
* Sham savera, one of the signature main course, spinach koftas which is loaded with cottage cheese and served on a bed of velvety tomato gravy.
* Shahi Tukda, this was my favorite and don't remember trying a better Shahi Tukda in recent times. Crisp bread loaded with milk pudding with perfect level of sweetness.
Had a pleasant dining expirence, can't wait to try more of the dishes off their menu.
Bon appetit!!

The Yellow Chili is a casual dining restaurant located in Jayanagar 4th block, it's on the 6th floor of a commercial building. talking about the ambiance it's very grand and cozy with very comfortable sofa seating, a fully air conditioned floor with chilled atmosphere, the best part of the place is the view through the glass window looking down towards the neighborhood of Jayanagar, they do serve alcohol and they have a mini bar, there's an arrangement of buffet counter for occasional buffet serving.
Food menu is North Indian, menu is categorized into soups, starters, curries, chaawal, paapad, salads & raitha and meetha. the veg starters platter was tasty and delicious, it had dahi ke khebab, veg kheema kebab, tandoori mushroom and paneer tikka, the taste of each were very satisfying. we had paneer takha tak and tomato cheese naan, i absolutely loved the tomato cheese naan, it was cheesy with bits of tomatoes stuffed inside naan. we then had a kesar kulfi with rabdi from the dessert, it was pretty decent. service was good, the items were served to table on time. it's a nice chillful restaurant, a nice place for family dining

This place has the proper feeling of home cooked food away from home and cooked in very classy way.
We tried their non-veg and veg grill platter.
Their mutton was so well cooked. This place uses less spices and more organic fresh items.
Their rabri kulfi was something different that we tried.
The tomato cheese stuffed kulcha was really nice cheesy and soft. It's a must try.
They have a open bar as well. For the people who are interested in some alcohol.
It is a proper family restaurant. The staff was very courteous and helpful.
One can get all kinds of food from all over India. From gallis of Amritsar to Sweets of Bangal. To lava cakes to Biryani.
The price is a little on the higher side. But if you want quality, you gotta get what you want!
It is always a delight to find nice North Indian cuisine in Bangalore. And when the restaurant happens to be the famous Yellow Chilli of Sanjeev Kapoor restaurant chains, it is given that the food will be lip-smacking.
What we ate :
Harippa Paneer - Tangy and spicy paneer tikka. Soft and succulent.
Veg seekh kebab - The regular seekh kebab. Tasted good.
Shabnam ke moti - Mushroom stuffed with cheese. Cooked to perfection with generous amount of cheese.
Dahi ke kebab - My favorite from the starter platter. Slightly sweet, very soft and flavorful.
Shaam savera - Spinach and paneer kofta in makhani curry. This was the star dish. Koftas melted in the mouth and the gravy compliment perfectly.
Lalla Mussa Dal - TYC 's version of dal makahani. It is cooked overnight to bring out the flavor. Creamy and tasty.
Garlic naan - Thin and crispy with right amount of garlic.
Shahi Tukda - This was the show stopper. Shahi Tukda dipped in rabdi and topped with gulab jamun. It was just perfect.
All the dishes were authentic and tasty. The service could be a bit better. Nonetheless, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Would like to try more dishes from their menu soon.
What an exuberantly awesome restaurant this is...!!
Was in awe after seeing the 3 side views of the whole city from this restaurant.
I seriously loved my time spent here and relished my junior college days as the most lovable thing for me was the songs played there as all of Enrique which I used to listen in my junior college.
Now talking about ambience it was decent with teak wooden chairs having golden cushions on it and the cutlery was also usual which you find in most of the restaurants. I loved the hanging globes which later on asked got to know where tagged as 1970s Amber glass Globe Light which were for glittery lighting at night throughout the restaurant arena.
Now let's talk about food :-
Personally I had the best lentil dal here in my whole life which was named as Lalla mussa dal.
They are providing 1+1 on alcohol beers so do go for it.
Being a veggie currently we only had vegetarian food which was above Average to sum up in few words.
Food things we tried :-
• Virgin mojito (3.5/5)
• Tomato basil shorba soup (4.2/5)
• Mixed platter (5/5)
• Tangra chilli paneer (5/5)
• Garlic naan (4.5/5)
• Shaam savera (5/5)
• Lalla mussa dal (5/5)
• Kesari kulfi with rabdi (5/5)
Describing the food things I had in detail :-
~ Virgin mojito was typically normal and same as found in other restaurants as well.
~ Loved the tomato basil soup as it was refreshing and also because I love tomato soup as pre starter dish.
~ Mixed platter had 4 things had in wich r given below -
1)Hare Masaley ka bhuna paneer which was great in taste but as compared to other paneer starters it was average.
2) Harippa paneer tikka - Just awesome and delicious as expected, loved this one and highly recommended from my side as cottage cheese was made in such a way dat I didn't feel like cottage cheese but as paneer only. We had a big discussion also on it.
3)Shabnam ke moti - Covered wid mushroom and cream cheese, this dish tasted more delicious with schezwan chutney. The inner stuffing had a subtle touch of mascarpone cheese cooked very amazingly.
4) Dahi ke kebab - The name says it all, it was soft, aloo kebab wrapped in dahi and then fried and delicious in taste as well.
~ Tangra chilli paneer was just scrumptious in taste. Again a highly recommended dish from my side. It was made in chilli and the name is inspired from Tangra - The Chinatown of Kolkata.
~ Shaam savera - It's one of their signature dishes which was spinach koftas stuffed with creamed cottage cheese, served floating on a a velvety tomato butter gravy.
~ Lalla mussa dal - Another signature dish and the pride of this restaurant as well. Black lentil dal which was too delicious to eat with garlic naan.
~ Kesari kulfi wid rabdi - Rose petals kept for extra look of dis dessert. It was saffron flavoured indian ice cream with creamy silk rabdi and overall it was luscious in taste.
Again to talk on the restro it was opened by Sanjeev Kapoor and has 50+ branches across India and it also branches in UAE as well.
This restro was first launched in 2001 and still Sanjeev sir says it's still the beginning.
The recipes, blended masalas, ready to cook mixes and pickles, cookware and bakeware are all chose and done by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor.
That was a small info about this restro so last but not the least is my own ratings

The Yellow Chilli restaurant is located on the 6th floor of Best Western Hotel, Jayanagar 4th Block.
East to locate, as its on the main road. Ample parking space available in d adjoining streets.
We were here during Lunch. Glad that it wasn't too crowded.
Ambience is simple, nothing fancy.
What we ate-
We started off with Tomato Basil Shorba. It was alright.
Starters we had the Veg Platter consisting of 2 types of Paneer Tikka, Dahi ke Kebab. Paneer was soft and all d flavours were bursting in our mouths.
Masala Papad was good too.
Virgin Mojito was perfect. Complimented the food well.
For main course we had Tandoori Roti, Pyaaz Mirch ki Roti(so good) and Garlic Naan(looked amazing and the portion was huge)
We tried their Signature dish 'Shaam Savera' and 'Dal Musallam' Both of them were really well made. Perfect flavors, Creamy and Yummy.
Eneded off the Meal with Kulfi served with Rabdi. It was sinfully delicious.
Staff was attentive, courteous and served with a smile. Overall satisfactory experience. Prices are at par with a fine Dine experience.

Must try: Basil prawn, Harippa paneer tikka, chandi kaliyan, murgh angarbedgi, subnam ke moti, Dahi ka kabab, Hara masala ka paneer tikka,Shaam savera, Lalla mussa dal, jeera rice.
The starters are tasty and they have varieties in platter like grilled platter and kebab platter and more. The Harippa paneer tikka is very neatly blended with masalas and served hot and soft. The variety is tasted in every starter platter.
The dahi ka kebab is very delicious its deep fried and tasty. You will be to feel the curd in every bite and its softly textured.
Chandi Kalyan is a type of chicken tikka which is also tasty. The mushroom starter is also a good to try.
Yellow Chilli is known for their Lalla mussa dal and jeera rice is the best. The lalla mussa dal is cooked for 24hours continues and blended with masalas. It has a strong flavour of ginger and garlic and its the epic dish. The next dish that made is fall in love is the differently cooked jeera rice. Jeera rice is so delicious that it has less of jeera and more of garlic and ghee. The combination with Shaam savera is the best.
Desserts are the tasty enders. The shahi tukda the rich royal dessert is the home made dessert served in a mocktail glass with gulab jamun and rose petals. This is one of our favourite desserts at yellow chilli and its the best there.
The service and staff are friendly and the ambience is neat.

Who isn't aware of 'The Yellow Chilli' flagship by chef Sanjeev Kapoor. I have visited their restaurants in Mumbai and Church Street and it was my first visit to their Jayanagar outlet for a Sunday dinner. ✨
They are quite well known and conspicuously located on the main road. Though they do not have a valet parking, their staff would guide you to park your car safely on the adjacent road.
The restaurant is on the 6th floor. We were greeted cordially by the staff, and guided to a comfortable table.
The place was quite occupied, being a Sunday evening, packed with family crowd obviously. The ambiance is simple, quiet and pleasant. 🙂
We started off with a small platter of veg starters that had two paneer tikkas, a dahi kebab and hara bhara kebab. Paneer was extremely tender, tasted nice. Dahi kebab was also good. 👍
Then came the nonveg platter, which had 2 chicken tikka, a prawns and fish tikka. Of the entire lot I liked the fish tikka the most, was soft, fresh and good flavours. Prawns was also tasty. Chicken starters were also good, but I preferred the former more. 😋
In mains we had chicken lazeez gravy with yummy garlic naan. Both were a great combination and went really well together. We also tried the chicken Biryani, it looked nice and fancy..tasted good too!
They say 'keep the best for the last'. That's exactly what happened with us. After all the good food finally our dessert arrived - Shahi Tukda, with a jamun on top. It was the best dish in our entire meal! Definitely a must try here. It had a good crunch of the bread which I like, the Rabdi was really nice and the jamun on top was beautiful! All in all this dessert simply made our day! 😍
Mr. Mishra took very good care of us, with some good suggestions as per our liking and taste. Yellow Chilli is a good, decent restaurant specially for families, and get-togethers. Had a pleasant dining experience. 🙏
Loved the food. It is delicious.Staffs r very polite. They have 1+1 offers on beers as well.. Restaurant is situated on the 6th floor of the hotel, though little confusing to find the elevator to the restaurant.Elegant interiors... If u r around Jayanagar, this is a must visit place for Indian food lovers..

Went here for dinner.
Started off with some coconut Zafrani soup which was quite different and refreshing.loved it !
Next up tried their non veg platter which had prawns in basil sauce, malai chicken tikka, mutton seekh kebab and amritsari fish! The prawns were lovely, loved the marination and the after taste was impeccable!
The fish was too oily and deep fried and the outer coating wasn't great! The mutton seekh was quite flavourful too! The chicken tikka was soft and juicy and liked it!
Next up tried their dahi kebab and Kolkata style paneer chilly! The paneer chilly reminded of Kolkata and it was their best dish! The dahi kebab lacked seasoning and was an average dish!
We moved to the main course where we tried the peshawari naan, Missi roti and rumali roti! Along with that we tried the dal Makhani and the puran Singh da chicken curry! The curry was a homemade chicken style curry was decent enough to go with the rotis. Liked the peshawari naan as it had jeera and saunf in the naan making it quite flavourful! Lastly we tried the ever awesome jeera rice with Dal Makhani which I truly believe the best combo ever! And it didn't disappoint! 😊
Lastly we ended our meal with gulab jamun within rabdi and it was delicious! Super soft jamun with thick Rabdi was quite satiating!
What a fantastic food here!! All the items we tried from the menu were equally yummy. Also the prices are very affordable. I have found my go to place in Jayanagar. Kudos to the team !
When my friend suggested we go to Yellow Chilli, owned by none of than Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, I was excited.
We visited this place on a Wednesday for dinner and were awed by the ambience the place offers.
We had: Murg Shorba, Shabnam ki Moti, Tandoori Basil Prawns, Kali Mirch Methi Fish Tikka, Murg Angar Bedgi and Chowringee Chilli Chicken for Starters.
The main course was equally appetising: Shaam Savera, Lalla Mussa Dal, Nalli Rogan Josh and Butter Naan.
We finished the dinner with Gulab e Gulkand and Kesari Kulfi with Rabdi. The service was equally great. Would love to visit again.

While most of you are already aware of, yellow chilli is a chain of Restaurants by renowned chef Sanjeev Kapoor. When stating the obvious, the amazing food takes you away, the fine dine experience is no less as well. Redefining Indian food since years. Bakasura had been to the Chruch Street outlet few years back and he finally visits the Jayanagar Branch. Exceptional chef curated food, a peaceful fine dine experience and an ever smiling staff makes this place a must visit.
This place is a pure bliss...!
I am sure your taste buds will be flabbergasted with something you can not expect in every Resturant - " The True Taste"
I must go and a must try Resturant..!
5 / 5 from my side...
Thank you so much The Yellow Chilli for awesome food and excellent service..!😀
One of the best restaurants in Jayanagar, situated at 6th floor, Yellow chilli offers a nice aerial view of Jaynagar. Known for its North Indian cuisine, the place lived up to its name.. Murgh makhni shorba is a must try over here..The staff members were courteous and we'll behaved..
Nice place to hangout, went there with my friends enjoyed music and food.
Fantastic service and food, loved every minute of it.Thank you for making it one of the best memories with the most special person. Food was an orgasm to the taste buds, and the ambience was nothing to regret for
The Yellow Chilli is one of the best Resturant to have some authentic North Indian dishes with very good ambience and service. Coming to food it is inimitable. Tandoori Basil prawns and Raan Buzzkazi must try. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience.
Very tasty food, reasonable prices. The restaurant offers good ambience and excellent service. Do try out the Nalli rogan josh dish and tandoori basin prawns.
Great food and great taste is what you can expect here. Truly Sanjeev Kapoor Restaurant. Was here with my family, the food taste, quality and quantity was up to the mark. Do visit to experience the magic of food Created by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Do meet Mr Amod who will be happy to help and fulfill your expectations. Liquor too priced very reasonable with 1+1 offers on many.
The fact is I could never warm up to Sanjeev Kapoor's face, owing to some deep rooted bias in me, maybe! But when it comes to his food at his signature restaurant Yellow Chilli, Jayanagar, I would say all the bias flies up the window! What a food man!
Its funny because 5 years in Bangalore, I never knew the restaurant existed. But it does- on the roof of Best Western Hotel in Jayanagar. They need to advertise the place more is what I felt when I entered, skeptically.
The menu is quintessentially North Indian, with classic favourites and also chef signature dishes gracing the pages. I started with Kalmi Kabab since I didn't want to waste my money in case it was all jazz and no meat.
The kabab turned out to be the best I ever ate in my life. The chicken was tender, juicy, succulent and with the right amount of marination and aptly cooked. It had all the flavours which we have gotten used to, yet the same time, the recipe had a balance of flavours soothing to the tummy. Not heavy, but flavourful.
Next up was Sham Savera. The saveraa in the dish was spinach koftas filled with creamy cottage cheese and the shaaam part was buttery tomato gravy in which these koftas floated alluringly. A true blue signature dish!
I will cut it short to say that everything I ate - Biryani, Mutton Curry, Different kebabs, dal and their yum desserts- were absolutely delicious! Even the prices are very minimal and it was hard to believe this was in fact, SK's restaurant, price wise I mean!
So? I am definitely going back with the fam and also some pals! You should too!
I have been living in Bangalore for the past 4 years now and have visited a lot of restaurants which serves North-Indian cuisine. The Yellow Chilli stands out among all of them. The food is extremely good, had starters, soup, main-course and desserts. Everything was delicious. The recipes of the food comes the MasterChef Sanjeev Kapoor making it even more delectable. Highly recommended!

I having dinner for first time in The Yellow Chilli.Food was awesome...starters and main course was delicious....yellow chilli rocks.... I will visit again
They Don’t have Valet Parking Facility. And they don’t have dedicated parking space as well. So one has to search for parking space in nearby gully roads. It’s wrongly mentioned in Zomato that they have valet parking.
Restaurant has good ambience, polite service. We only ordered Veg Food. It was good, tasty, not very spicy. Menu is very limited but has variety. Only draw back is they don’t serve fresh fruit juices or milk shakes or any mocktails or lassi etc.
The staff were courteous and the food was really good 👌🏻Must visit and must try the mutton dishes
Fish was cooked to perfection as well so overall a completely satisfying experience
Good place nice food . Ambience also okay . Service was okay . Can be better . Over all nice place . It is located in Jayanagar . Location is okay .

We visited this place on a Sunday afternoon, so there were hardly people in the restaurant. The Peru Pyala drink was a perfect start to the lunch. In starters, the Harippa Paneer Tikka was delicious. The curries were just the right amount of spicy. We had Kadai Gobi Mussallam and Corn Chatkhara Palak. The Yellow Dal Tadka was pretty okay. The Nizami Tarkari Biriyani was perfectly cooked and was a delight. I'd recommend this place for a hearty meal.
We had a dinner yesterday with my friends. Restaurant is in 6th floor. Ambience was very nice, we had ordered babycorn manchurian and one chicken starter. Chicken was very nice in taste. Staff was very polite and curtious. Overall very good experience, we'll come again
Nice food , good ambience but slightly over priced. Nice time to spend with family or friends. Not too many options but the service and quality of food is good.
delightful starters and tasty mock tails is what we found here in this place. unfortunately most of the menu was not available due to some unavailability issues. also finding a parking spot would be a issue if not planned properly.

We were driving around the area, when my mom actually pointed the place and recommended it! Well can't say No to mumsie, can you!
The restaurant is housed in the Oyo Townhouse. We walked into the space and the sight of an empty restaurant kinda unnerved us! I mean Saturday lunch hour, is a madhouse everywhere else plus this was a franchise of the famed chef's eatery.
The genial waitstaff showed us our table and must say the views of South bangalore are mind blowing from up there!
We wanted a quick meal and told our waiter we wanted a less spicy meal and he made all the recommendations. We got a tomato shorba and sweet corn soup to start. For mains we got a shaam savera, mussa daal, pea pulao and an assortment of rotis.
The soups were pretty good. Both the curries were served in a cool looking ladles and I really liked the taste of both. The shaam savera had a creamy gravy and the lentils were robust and flavorful. The peas pulao was slightly on the drier side, but were were impressed with the roti selections. I loved mine, a pista and sesame crusted Peshawari Naan!
My mom came here a long time back and remembered the excellent buffet, which is not available anymore, so not sure if that is the cause of low footfalls?
Service was pleasant and quick.
I was pleasantly surprised at the meal, while I am not sure of reinventions, it was surely above the run of mill and I hope they manage to turn the place around.

I have always been a fan of Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor and I regularly follow his recipes. I had been waiting to go to The yellow chilli for a long time. So I finally visited this place with my family.
The restaurant decor is not that fancy. Just a humble one. But that really shouldn't matter. Food is what you should go there for. No Brainer. 😊
We ordered a fish starter platter. It was awesome. The fish was very fresh and tender. Then we ordered Galauti kabab. I must admit that it was not the best one I've had. Because it is supposed to melt in your mouth. This one didn't. Had to take a good bite and chew a bit. May be that's their version but it is not that great.
For the main course we ordered the famous shaam savera with butter roti. It tasted great. But the koftas were pretty small. I mean 3 small koftas in a bowl full of gravy is not very desired. However, it tasted awesome. We also ordered the Gosht Dum Biriyani which was pretty tasty. The meat was tender and well cooked. We complimented the food with lime soda which helped us digest the rich food well and also cleanse the pallette.
All in all it was a good experience. I would have rated 5 but the negative points I mentioned compel me to cut 1 mark off🙁 I would definitely visit again to try their other specialties.
Nice ambience, service was excellent, North Indian cuisine was awesome, we had biriyani panner and dessert and taste was excellent, provide free welcome drink that was good about restaurant and drinks are available too. Little costlier compare to other restaurant but they will provide service and taste. Worth going and having food, definitely suggest to my friends.
They have a very wide range of choices in the buffet. The staff is very friendly and the service is very good. The taste of the food is flawless. We loved it.
I recently went there with my dad and both of us were the only people in the restaurant. The hospitality and service was something I loved. The food was cooked to perfection and we ended up having a great time! Strongly recommend for family outings if you live in jayanagar.
There’s not much I can add onto the already amazing reviews from acclaimed food critics. Sanjeev Kapoor has managed to keep his reputation intact by delivering the dishes he knows best and not messing around. This chain of restaurants has wonderful food, ambience and staff. It is a must try for Indian food connoisseurs if you’re ready to spend so much money. If you do get a chance, don’t miss to eat here.
