A decent place for having cakes, pastries and cookies. Taste can be improved. That heavenly feeling was missing from the cheesecake. Other items were good enough.
A great experience with my best friends for being at this place, the cheesecake and pastry were just awesome. Even after having wholesome meal, the dessert seemed to be smooth and relieving to the stomach.

Cakes was amazing and Cappuccino also. The chef was very good actually I dont know his name. He is so polite. Service was quick. Ambience was not good. And its pocket friendly. Keep it up guys.
When you friends are late, you have to satify that growling stomach. So I get into this place. As a bakery and cafe combined, you can find the cakes arranged upfront with tables on the side. I seat myself and look on the menu. They have a lot of options like starters, main course and also desserts. I choose Chicken Quiche and a Mango shake. But I was suggested that they have a combo for Chicken Quiche, Donut and Mango Juice. The Quiche and donut was heated and then served. The quiche was flaky and tasted good. The donut was good too but the sugar sprinkled on top didn't impress me much. The Mango juice was the best for me as it had such a thick consistency and chilled properly.
I've been ordering cakes from here for the past 15 years .My personal favourites are the chocolate mousse cake and pineapple fresh cream cake . Their lemon tarts and chocolate eclairs are pretty good too. Sweet Chariot is definitely worth the money and over the years their quality has also remained more or less the same. A great bakery to order those old school birthday cakes!
If you are a cake and pastry love then never skip this place to have the yummy, sweet, soft, fresh and rich cakes and pastries. ordered 5 kg of "ALMOND CAKE" which was really exceptional.

I have been here to buy birthday cake multiple times. There fruit cakes are awesome. Apart from the flavor the bread is so soft that it melt as soon as you put into mouth.

Very recently I have been here to get a cake for my friends birthday. I took lychee flavor cake and it was really awesome.i haven't got a chance to try other flavors but surely after having good experience with lychee cake I will gonna try few more options here. The staff is not very friendly.

Everytime there's a birthday or special occasion, SweetChariot is my go-to place. I don't know how they make such delicious lip smacking cakes(with egg). The eggless ones are relatively decent too.
This place has quite delicious cakes. I bought a cake for my friend on his bday from here and it was quite good. Pastries are okay but cakes are the ones to go for. I suggest if you want cakes you should try this place.
I would recommend this place for their cakes rather than pastries. This store is right adjacent to the Cake Yard outlet. Their cakes are better than their pastries. Hence, I keep juggling between the stores for their delicacies. Sweet Chariot also have some great egg-less cakes to offer. Guys willing to have some doughnuts but don't wanna jam their credit card bills in Dunkin'Doughnuts, can visit here. They serve decent ones. (Don't expect too much!)

This rating is purely for the quality and taste and value for money that this place offers. soft delicious cakes from sweet chariot were a regualr for all our birthday parties before the fanier bakeries showed up. But this this has not put a dent in their quality. Modestly priced pasteries(i love their pineapple pastery and the coffee walnut) and eclairs(i had my first eclair here as a kid) in a neat cafe, Sweet Chariot is one of the old favorites for the residents of Koramangala! If you havent ever sampled their goods, you have been missing out!

I will not say that cake from here is best birthday cake for me. But yes it was not that bad. My hubby arranged blackberry cake for me which was fresh, good cream, not too sweet just as we wanted❤️❤️

This is a timeless place famous for its bakes in Bangalore. I've been a proud customers for about a decade now. I must say that they've lived up to the quality expectations ever since then!
I would generally pick a cake for birthdays from no other place but this. Right now, its a place where you could still get a cake without having ordered it in advance. They do provide better choices if you intend to order in advance. The prices are dirt cheap if you compare with every other pastry shop with a similar stature.
Their fresh cream eggless cakes are amazing. My pick is the blueberry one.
After trying this cake shop in Ecity, we gave it a try in Koramangala also. And surely it didn't disappoint us at all. This may be not the best cake shop in the area but surely they serve good quality cakes at reasonable rates. Every time we have tried a different flavor and none of them have disappointed us till now. Even the red velvet cupcakes, chocolate pastries, donuts are awesome. And the chocolate mousse is just flawless. The bakery also offers some savory products. I heard so much about this place but the taste was not as expected. Wanted to give less but gave 3.5 for my personal experience as I celebrated my birthday there although it wasn't my birthday And the behavior of the staffs was really very good. Ambience is below average and the air conditioner wasn't working. But still was disappointed by the taste of the cake or wasn't as good as a proper black forest cake. But wil visit the place again and will try other flavours and hope it will reach up to my expectation.
Its near by my place ...so I visit this place very often.....pastries are yummy.....I liked specifically their Chico mousse....its awesome and yummy too.....for birthdays u should go for rum cake which will cost u 600 rupees for 1kg I guess but taste is superb......only problem is there should be some more variety,now they are keeping very less...
This is the most favorite place for buying cakes for our birthday celebrations. Our's is a batch of 25 and hence all though the year we would be having birthday celebrations. And Sweet Chariot Koramangala which is situated just next to another famous landmark of Koramangala, Corner house. I have lost count of number of times we would have bought cakes from here. More often than not they satisfy in terms of quality of the cake and its cost.

I've been to multiple outlets of this café. Being a sweet tooth, I absolutely love this place. They have great cakes, pastries, doughnuts and snacks too. This place also has dine in which is very nice. This place is perfect for ordering cakes for birthdays and stuff. I'd definitely recommend this place to everyone.
Sweet chariot is well known for it's cakes. However, what most people haven't tried are their chicken dishes. 2 amazing things I love are: Their chicken lasagna and chicken ala kiev. It is affordable and tastes amazing. :)

I like desserts once in a while but yesterday I went all out and got a box of assorted pastries for a family member's Birthday.
The shop facade is your standard Sweet Chariot one - a Bangalore Classic.
It is a small shop with a nice display counter and a few tables and chairs.
Ok the pastries - I picked out a rum tart, some sort of chocolate layer cake and a Japonaise almond meringue torte - 4 of each. I don't remember seeing the names for each pastry - which is a bit of a let down really. It makes communication a little cumbersome and leaves finger print smudges all over the glass.
And how were these pastries? Absolutely worth ever paise spent. The Rum Tart was a clear winner for obvious reasons. That Japonaise torte with all that nutty, creamy goodness - yes yes yes.
A short trot from my office, great pastries means only one of several things - more smudge marks on the counter and more boxed dessert.

I can vouch for the cakes they serve here. You seldom get food, which you taste and struggle to describe how good it is! Wow, fresh and moist pineapple cake. It's a must visit place if you have a sweet tooth.
I can only vouch for their dessert section, haven't tried their other offerings. Easy on pocket and delectable! Sweet Chariot is more like an on-the-go place.
It is THE place to wait and while away time if your movie at PVR, Forum isn't going to begin for a while. I didn't know there was SO much seating inside. Sadly, it was empty the whole time we were there. The staff is friendly and they're not in a big hurry to shove the bill in your face and kick you out, like the folks at the Richmond Circle branch.
We had the usual - black forest cake and chocolate rum tart. There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said - it's the epitome of consistency. I noticed that they had the chicken quiche. I haven't had that in years! No, it doesn't taste the same but it was a generous, filling portion of yummy quiche.
We order dozens of cakes for the different birthday celebrations at our office . I wish they dont lose the quality . i can sense that the quality is slowly fading and prices are soaring .

I really like the pasteries here and most of my birthay cakes use to come from this place.. The place is really awesome and not very costly.. I buy my bread from here and it is quite a good place to buy brown bread from.. I also loved the chocolate donuts and also the chocolate eclairs and it is a must try.. This place is also known for its chocolate moose it tastes amazing and you can never get bored of this cake..
Bangalore has some good bakeries and sweet chariot is definitely one of them. Not only is it good but also affordable.
They have multiple branches all across Bangalore and the quality is pretty much the same.
In addition to sweet treats, they have salty delicacies as well like garlic bread, sandwiches, etc.
Their chocolate pastry is really very good and the same is true for their pure chocolate cake. Usually their pineapple pastries are fresh and tasty as well.

This particular Sweet Chariot is not just a bakery but also a cafe. They have a pretty big range of items on their menu, the cakes are obviously delicious, but you could also try the sandwiches here. Try the chicken lasagna, it's very good here, and so is the chicken quiche.
It was a lazy Sunday & I happened to stop by Koramangala and remembered that Sweet Chariot was in the locality. Earlier they had Pastries & Cakes only.
But what I noticed during this visit that the whole interiors & menu was overhauled. More spacious, repainted interiors with same signature Sweet Chariot color combinations- Orange, Green & Beige :)
And yes- air conditioned too!
Was almost 12 Noon so ordered a Chicken A-La King & Black forest for dessert!
Worth it & yes - easy on the pocket too, just like old times in Bangalore!

There are loads of Bakery in Bangalore.. you will find 4-5 bakeries minimum in every locality.. And sweet chariot is one of the most popular bakery here.. Located in Koramangala 7th block in the same lane as Corner house icecream.. My husband ordered a pineapple forest cake from here on my bday and it was a lovely cake.. both look-wise and taste-wise.. just perfect!!!..Havent tried other items from here.. But sure will do.. Overall a great place for cakes

I have not reviewed and shared my thoughts on the bakery kind of eateries which are also quite populate in Bangalore. Again like others, restaurant/fast-food/bakery join in Koramangala. Situated to the left of the road coming from Empire and close to Raheja Arcade.
Though its not the only place in Bangalore for Sweet Chariot. I am writing my initial review based on this place.
Well, place has survived for quite sometime. I wonder if its due to the colleges being around there or its about the folks around the area wanting to eat out or its just the taste of the food. I think its a combination of all 3 items.
Speaking of food, I have taken quite a few of the 1-2 kgs cakes from there for birthday celeb. I think recently one of my friend had taken cake for his daughters first year birthday from Sweet Chariot.
Their best item according to me is the ‘Rich Chocolate’. I still remember the 1st time I took it @Cunningham Road and felt pure bliss consuming it. Once I liked it every time I got there I do take one of it. The taste is absolutely same in Koramangala as well.
Apart from that few other nice and awesome items includes : Garlic Bread - is simply awesome and size wise quite big, Brown bread - this is also quite good there, Chocolates - not the branded by the ones made in bakeries, Veg puff.
In terms of cakes - black forest, mocha cake are also equally good.
And this place is quite filed with people many times. The only thing I feel bad about this place is that its lost is charm in terms of the taste. Wondering if its got to do with shear # of people placing orders or its the quality of the ingredients.
Overall my rating is 3.5 for this restaurant, has big big potential but need to keep up and deliver more. Also I wish that the persons taking order, packing are more polite and gently and quick :)

I have been going to Sweet Chariot for years.
Back when it used to be at Brigade's then when it shifted to Cotton's and even the outlet in Koramangala. Cakes are bar none the best you can find. The chocolate mousse, black forest and even the fruit based pastries are to die for. The savoury dishes are not their USP but trust me you will like the mix of sweet and savory. They even make a very decent chicken a la kiev.
Come to think of it I can fault anything there in terms of quality, every pastry and dish there is great and hits the right note with the wallet as well.
Sweet Chariot is a Bangalore institution. Fabulous!
Oxford should list 'Sweet chariot' as a synonym for 'Value for money'! If you are searching for a glitzy place, with glowing interiors and food that barely covers 25 percent of the plate, this is not the place for you. This place has its priorities set right, and taste tops that priority list.
This is a decent place in the heart of Koramangala and was originally a bakery. They added a few tables to the side, and voila, a cafe!
The food was really delicious, service was tardy.
Chicken a la kiev, lasagne and chocolate mousse come highly recommended. Avoid mocktails.
A medal for the couple who receive a four digit bill at this place(next to impossible).

This is going to be a regular spot for me as I have fallen in love with the Food, Quality, Service and Value for Money! The must trys' (photos are attached as well) are:
1) The Grilled Chicken with Cheese Sauce (Rs. 175)
This dish consists of 5 pieces of boneless chicken, perfectly grilled and topped with white and cheese sauces. As one could guess, it isn't spicy at all. However, it is flavorful and served with crispy garlic bread.
2) The Chicken a la Kiev (Rs. 175)
This dish is an all time favorite. Its remarkable for the money you pay, as Chicken Kiev is otherwise quite expensive. And once you eat it, you would want to order one more!
3) The Chicken Chasseur (Rs. 150)
It consists of boneless chicken drowned in chasseur sauce.The Chasseur sauce, also known as hunter's sauce is the brown sauce used in French cuisine. The dish is topped with mushrooms (yummy!) and served with garlic bread and sauteed vegetables.
4) The Chicken Wings (8 pieces for Rs. 125)
Chicken wings for only Rs. 125! The wings are delightful and are cooked in barbeque sauce. Just too good for the taste buds! Really worth trying for chicken wing lovers like me! Have tried wings at various restaurants, but generally find them to be either to dry or too expensive. Here, its reasonable and delicious!
I must also mention that the quality of the food was up to the mark (especially the wings).
We were served by a gentleman named Venkatesh and he had suggested some of the dishes. He was also very friendly and we were very happy with that! Ambiance isn't out of this world, but for a cafe, it was comfortable and relaxed.
Last but not the least The Value for Money. Do I need to say more about that? Generous portions with very reasonable prices. Definitely 'Value for Money' could be termed as an understatement!

This is The spot i head out to when my taste buds crave for nice continental food and my mind craves for solace..
As the name suggests sweet chariot is mainly a bakery and I used to head over here to have pastries until 3 months back when my cousin ordered a steak.
The pastries are very smooth creamy light and fluffy. They are one of the best I have had at Bangalore and that too for such a low price.
The costliest pastry here would be around 60 bucks..Yeah Nothing beats this place for VFM..
I recommend Chicken Pepper steak , Chicken Chasseaux .
A lot of places sell quiche but I have handsdown had the best quiche here.. Chicken as well as mushroom
Service : There is one man who serves most people ..The rest take care of the cake counter as people keep coming in to take away cakes..
They are friendly and service is quick.. The food is served within 15 minutes.
VFM is an understatement ..A chicken chasseux , a chicken quiche and a marble cheese cake would cost u in total 270 bucks . No place beats this and that too for the taste that it offfers..

I have ordered cakes for the last two years for my Husband's birthday party. The cakes are very fresh and you can order designer cakes. You just have to show them a design of your choice and let them know in advance! 1 month advance knowledge would give them ample amount of time. At least that's what i do. Order cake from sweet chariot Koramangla and you would love it!
We dropped by to pick up some treats late last weekend and we got what were the only two items available - Chocolate Ball (sugar icing) and Japanese Cake. Fortunately they were both lovely and uber sweet. The guy behind the counter wasn't the most pleasant person but we got our goodies and went off home. I'll have to drop by earlier the next time to try some of the stuff the bakery is popularly known for.
