My birthday cake was bought from sugar and spice . The most delicious cake ever had . The texture , flavours are so natural and fresh . This place is quiet small located right outside memories of China. Cozy location with luxurious indulging taste .
Can blindly give this a 5-star rating!!! The best cakes I've ever eaten since childhood!! They are a master in every cake they bake except for their Red Velvet! Do try their chocolate truffle which stands a hot favourite to everyone who tries it!!! Chocolate lovers don't wait to try this! #toothsome 😀

A small place in the corner with limited seating serving pastries and pattes. When I say limited seating, and they have a small but delightful selection of cakes and pastries, plus good coffee.

We ordered the Mocha Walnut for my parents wedding anniversary. The cake was very moist and the flavours tasted fresh, although a little overpriced the quality and taste make up for it.
So pocket friendly this place is! The fare too is delicious! Love the chicken and paneer pizza that they serve as well as some of their puffs! The sweet stuff is decent too but not spectacular!

Sugar and Spice is a small place in Vivanta and they have a lot of baked goods to pick and choose from. They have everything ranging from Breads, Puffs, Macroons to delicious pastries and cheesecakes. Name it and they have it! So, we bought slices of Pineapple pastry and Red velvet cake. The red velvet was easily my favorite. Super yumm. :)
We also bought a one kilo cake of Walnut Coffee mocha and boy it was so so yumm. So much of walnuts and coffee in each bite. Sheer bliss and sin :) Do visit this place, if you love desserts and have a sweet tooth!
Although the place is quiet small yet it does not give a bad impression,the staff there are excellent and the 'Tata' group knows the value of service which is clearly evident in the way they present themselves...!!! it gives immense pleasure to dine in such a historical hotel...Cheers...!

We ordered Green Tea and they served us normal teatley green tea, they charged us Rs.250 for it which was totally not worth it.

Nice bakery. Good for a light snack or two in Taj Vivanta, MG Road. We had veg puff and blueberry cheese cake, both of them were good.
The only drawback was the lack eggless pastries.
This is small outlet inside vivanta and next to memories of china. Tried there chef's spcl , blueberry pastry and I just loved it. Service is good and staff memeber was polite and he was the only one who was running this place. Would request if they can add more variety of cakes.

After a devotional day in the Ulsoor Gurudwara, me and my company of 3 vagabond friends, were in dismissal, on the thought of where to had as we were having a craving for tarts and desserts all of a sudden. One of dear friend, who is the chiphead of our group, told "Taj-Vivanta chaltey hai chal". We couldn't but gave a grin on the excellent idea. We headed towards the marvelous hotel. Their, we enquired for a place where we could give a treat to our tastebuds. The concerned person, smiled and headed us towards this awesome place. The name was quite right for the quality and the satisfaction it leaves one with. The tarts, the pastries, the more I describe it, the lesser will it be. The black forest was the icing on the cake. That thing literally gave us goosebumps. Then came Balushahis, which took the the extravagance to a next level. We thanked the almighty for the lovely treat, as it is he, who gave the chance to fulfil our desires. Overall, a heavenly place for all the pastries and tarts lover like me.

Another exhibition and an excuse to stop by the little coffee shop at the Vivanta. The coffee is pretty normal. The cake was nice, and not overly sweet. We did enjoy it!
Service is good considering there is only one crew member at the counter and a hoard of people wanting this and that!
Surprisingly reasonable despite being located in a hotel. The desserts are lovely. Definitely amongst the top dessert places in Bangalore and centrally located.
The other day my wife and me dropped into have a buffet lunch. Though there were delicacies laid out for us to choose, I got bored eating them as I have eaten them quite often and was in a mood for a pasta. So, asked if it can be prepared though it was not a part of the menu. But, suprusingly, the chef Mr. Lawrence was quite willing to get a creamy pasta done for me and a masala omelet for my wife. It was there in minutes cooked and served to perfection. I must thank the chef for making my lunch a memorable one and also for the hospitality and warmth with which we were taken care. Keep it up guys
Remember being here at that unearthly hour to pick up a cake for a friend's birthday. Also wanted to grab a bite! The cake was delicious! Their pastries and the savory are worth a try! Yummy chocolates that went in as a gift for the Birthday Boy!

I was headed for some work in taj Vivanta and was dying for some quick bite, and chose to pick something because it was a strike, and every other place was shut.
So I spotted sugar and spice, a tiny bakery with about 4 tables, in taj Vivanta mg road and decided to eat from here itself, because bakeries always make me happy!
So the decor of the area is very cute, there are jars full of macaroons, cookies, biscuits, nuts, chocolate chips all around the area. The muffins, brownies and breads are kept on a display on the outer side and the glass case has all the cakes pastries and savoury items. The entire decor of the place and the arrangement is done very nicely.
We decided to have a chocolate muffin, one veg pizza and chicken pizza. So we were seated, and soon the order came to our table along with two glasses of water. I really appreciated the fact that the waiter remembered to get water as well.
We were starving so, quickly started to eat. The muffin was heavenly, so soft, buttery and the essence of chocolate flavour was blended so well. I absolutely loved it, every bite of it was enjoyed by us. It was really really good.
Coming to the veg and chicken pizza, the dough of the pizzas were soft and there was ample of toppings - chicken and paneer along with tiny olives and cheese. The toppings were cooked well but, they tasted a tad bit bland, the pizza lacked spice, salt and flavour. The quantity looks small, but the pizza was quite heavy on the stomach because of the generous amount of filling inside.
The service was good, although the place was mostly empty, the waiter served with a smile and was very prompt.
Value for money was 320 rupees for whatever we ordered, which I felt was a little overpriced but of course it's a bakery inside Taj, it will be around this price range. I didn't mind spending because my stomach was full after leaving from here.
This place needs a little more improvement, on the varieties of savoury items and little more life needs to be added to the store. A little music will be great.
Overall, if you're inside taj Vivanta mg road, you can grab a quick bite from this tiny cute bakery.

If you want a delicious, mouth watering, classy birthday cake, this is the place. Their hand made chocolates and pastries are yummy. The pastry chefs cook up some amazing pies and muffins.
There is a bookshop and it works as a nice laid back place to read some book sipping a hot cuppa.. Extremely courteous staff and good service. Pricy but worth it for the quality and the name.
A nice little bakery /coffee shop inside Taj Vivanta. While waiting for our daughter who was attending a seminar in the same hotel , we decided to check out this place for a
Cup of coffee and some puddings. No regrets - a bit pricy compare to CCD or even Starbucks - but coffee was good . It had that smell of freshly brewed coffee with right amount milk froth. Pudding was also good ( although the choice for vegetarian were not many ) . Try it out ..: if you don't mind a bit higher price ...
A lot of impressive products to scour through from the new menu.. go post 8 pm and u get stuff on 50% disc.. steal deal to end the day with.
Bought two cakes from here recently on two different occasions. One was exquisite, while the other failed to impress. They do a good job decorating the cakes though. Quite overpriced, as can be expected. They charge an additional excise duty on chocolate, which is not ordinary.
Went to this place for the first time to attend some seminar. And it so happened that I was late by 20 mins. So I thought I will skip the seminar & try classic butter cookie here. Running short of words to describe the feeling of savouring desserts here. It was love at first munch. And finally the addiction took over and started visiting this place every week as it was on the way back home from office.

Went to vivanta for a seminar but did not get the time to finish my lunch before that - however I had a short break post registration, which I thought I could use to grab a bite. I thought of crossing the road onto 1 MG Road but felt it was not a very good idea given the time constraint. I saw this small cafe right opp their signature Chinese restaurant "memoirs of China" and thought why not?... I ordered a cappuccino and two calzones - an onion thyme and a spinach one - both were perfectly baked and had the mild flavor of onion and spinach as I had expected. It did not fail me. The service was taj class - no doubt. In fact the waiter was apologetic to make me wait 2 mins to get my card swiped. They also have a good collection of books which you could skim as you sip your coffee or relish your pastry... I do recommend this for a similar situation as mine - but this is not the place where you plan and go unless you stay in the hotel.... Cappuccino however was slightly overpriced at 250 bucks...
