This place is just beautiful ❤️
Ambience is perfect for lunch.
Indian menu is typical Kerala style and also includes continental menu.
I got a great deal on the little app.
Got a 3 course meal along with a drink/mocktail for just 599!
The chef was also very friendly and suggested us what's really good over there.
Chicken mappas served with appam was worth trying. It's extremely delicious.
It's a must try place for authentic Kerala food!
My friend gave me birthday treat along with his office colleagues for a dinner, they have very good service and food no doubt about that but very less choice in drinks .
So change in drinks is must require.

Loved loved loved this place. This place doesn't look that great from the outside but once you enter, voila! It takes you to another parallel world. Such a chilled out place. Beautiful interiors with all sorts of paintings and posters. Lovely place to have dinner with friends or family. Best thing about them is definitely their service. They make you feel really warm. Food is absolutely delicious. I mean,i had the kerala beef, chicken liver fry, fish fingers, fried chicjen, brain masala and lastly the pandhi fry (pork) which was the best of the best. And these were only the starters. Had appam and a curry for main which was again great. Music is nice, ambiance is great. Price is worth it. Probably the only reason why i won't give 5 is coz since they serve only beer they could get a bit more variety in the beer cocktails (the current ones are fab don't get me wrong) and the desserts could get a bit better. Overall lobed it!
Food. Food. Food. There is a reason they serve only beer. So that you can wash down the flavours and then start to munch on some more amazing food.
Went for lunch with colleagues just before Christmas and were the only table occupied when we got there. Sat in the middle of the restaurant below the glass sun roof streaming light into the place making it a delightful experience. Good music as well and at the right volume. Good food overall - the soups and appetizers were better than the mains though. Some problems though - the service is rather clueless and they seem to confuse orders, need reminders and generally the orders take forever in arriving. Additionally, it became warm pretty soon and for some inexplicable reason, they don't seem to switch on air conditioning till we requested them to.
Couple weeks back I visited this place. The treat you is fantastic and food with perfect combination of liquor too. Cleanliness and hospitality, music everything good, had proper weekend, I ordered for beer and taste crab soup to try different delightful taste.
I like special thanks to Mr Ashok for making me wonderfully weekend with his great full job🤗
Perfect place to out with family and kinds too. 100% privacy
Amazing service !! And why wouldn’t it even be ?! After all the place is new ! Hope the service stays the same. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the Fish steak and grilled veggie steak !
We visited this place on a Saturday afternoon. it was cosy and had good ambience.they were serving food real fast and properly cooked.tried lemon fish with peanut sauce which was not deep fried and egg and keema paratha which was hot, heavy and less oily. Had hyper rooster in drinks which was Ok. They didn't have too many options in drinks.they had only beer, beer cocktail and mocktail.service was also good. In short it is good value for money. Would recommend visiting this place

Did you know this place is run by the same guy who owned Windsor Pub in Vasanth Nagar. Yes, *the* Windsor Pub, with the great beer, awesome music and brilliant food.
Well, I can say with no doubt in my mind, they recaptured the magic here. They even managed to bring the old Bangalore feel to the place.
The beer is still served at the right temperature, the music is still brilliant, and they have even more choices in food.
Must try - Pandi Fry, Crab Rasam (infact, all Rasams). My wife and I have become regular to the place. We even order from here when we’re having people over home.
This place is my favorite Sunday/Saturday evening relaxed dinner l place. It's super chill with great live music and outrageously good south Indian food. While here try the pepper rasam and the curry leaf chicken.
Sit back, enjoy the music and indulge in delicious food.
The bonus: cheap beer great ambiance and super friendly owners and staff

Glad I finally went!
Friends had recommended Roosters for their Beef , Pork & Beer Cocktails.
This small restaurant/bar is cosy and full of nostalgia - Bangalore's past displayed on the wall by means of beautifully done artwork reminiscent of Mario Miranda's work - colorful caricatures that tell their stories.
Beer - just KF or as we call it Ungil On tap and that's the best - draft KF. Prices are reasonable especially for their Beer cocktails. Try the filter Kaapi and Beer one - a little sweetie but who knew a lager would work with filter Kaapi. Next time, I will try the rest.
Food - We had the Kerala beef as an appetizer - took me back to Kerala. Moist, soft pieces of shredded beef with bits of coconut - perfect with your chilled Beers. Waiter - bring us another round of Beef & Beer!
Sticking to Beef, I ordered the Beef Stroganoff and wasn't disappointed. A nice, hearty meal with a lovely gravy that hits the spot. Believe me when I tell , no meat was left on the plate but a only a few grains of rice were left behind.
I'm bringing back the lads here one afternoon or evening to do a proper session of Meat & Beer!
Great job Roosters. I shall be back for more!
Cheers & Stay Frothy!
One of the good restaurants hidden away by the traffic of 12th main junction. Their steaks are lip smacking, and we tried their Madras chicken soup which was a revelation. The staff are very courteous, and the ambience is calming. Would recommend!
This place gets so many things on point. The live music wafting through the stands, the old world decor, the super friendly and courteous service.
When I explained my vegan dietary needs, they pointed me to the things I could have straight off the bat on the menu and things they could modify. And the food- oh man! Yummy!
Full of flavour, earthy. Definitely a place I would love to go again for the ambiance and the live music.
My only gripe is that they didn’t have any desserts which were vegan. So we had to skip that.
And it would be wonderful if they marked their menu for vegan options.
Roosters - Soul Kitchen was on my must-visit list for quite some time. This Sunday when I finally went there, I realised what I’d been missing. Their menu is radically different and the food is brilliant! Nice staff and a good ambience make for a great setting. Love the place!
And you come back for more - Oh Yes, and thats exactly what we did. Enjoy the variety of Beer and the food - oh yeah. Love the speciality dishes which is not available every where and also the team are willing to recreate some of the favourites which were taken off the menu. The Sea food pasta was yum, totally different to the Chicken Liver fry, Bheja Masala, Shreaded beef, Crab and ....... and it was enjoyed by each one of us (5 of us). Ginger Beer wins over the Filter coffee Beer (Ofcourse my personal taste)
Very Good food though limited varieties to choose from. Friendly service and a feast for all non veg (especially beef and pork) lovers. less desserts and they should plan to increase the overall variety of food stuffs.

This is an awesome place for some coorgi and kerala cuisine food . The place is very warm and has positive vibe to it and the staff is really kind and helpful . This place serves some really good beef and pandi or pork curry but the best is crab rasam and rice ...worth a visit for beer and great food ...cheers
Ambience of this place is gooodddd. Helpful staff. Good service. You want to eat kerala style food with a different touch then this is your place.
Their keema paratha was good. The brinjal curry (I don't remember the name) was goodd. It's very rare that you actually go a place like this and find good authentic food. I would not say it was amazing but it was good enough. We had also ordered a bunch of others dishes but the only other taste that stayed with me was the cheese jalapeño balls. They were goooddd.
I’ve been wanting to visit Roosters since they opened, and I finally did, last night. Went with some colleagues, and I’m glad we picked the place. Sathish (the owner) was super pleasant, and suggested a bunch of drinks and food. Not sure if it’s in the menu but the Erachi Varuthathu was really good. As was the Tropical Sunrise (cocktail that is definitely in the menu). I drank and ate way more than I originally intended to, and had a whale of a time. Will definitely be coming back for more. A definite thumbs up!
Super friendly service with really yummy food. Staying away from home, my mallu taste buds were highly satisfied with their pandhi fry and ever oh so delicious beef wrapped in bacon. The Tropical sunrise beer is a mad genius idea in a glass!! Nostalgic and brilliant music, cozy cozy interiors (which i'm particular about). Overall, thank you for the experience.
If you love Retro music , Super-fabulous food and Paul Fernandes Cartoons then Rooster's Soul Kitchen is the place to frequent . The Pandi Fry , Kerala Chilli Chicken , Erachi (Meat) Varatiyatha, Kerala Paratha, Steaks , Fish curry etc are out of the world - succulent , tender and finger-licking good 👌👏👏,,,,,yummy ! They use very good spices which render authentic flavour to the food .The dishes are done to perfection 👌👌👌. The Ambience is lovely too ,,,, very quaint decor ,,,,,gives you the feel of "Good Old Bangalore" - Especially for those of you who want to soak in nostalgia !
Their Fish and Chips and the Beef Strogonoff are to die for ! The service is excellent too ! In fact they are very friendly , hospitable and most willing to customise dishes to pamper your tastebuds ! TRULY A "Soulful" 😜😋experience !
Love the food!!! My daughter and I are BIG fans as are most of our friends! My favourite place to take visitors from out of town for lovely authentic Coorg pork and beef delights and the yum fusion menu!Personal favourite being the mushroom and red onion gravy with Appams! Not to forget mentioning the exceptional service and the informative staff, who always make wonderful suggestions for new dishes! Also love the live music on weekends and the ambience. Truly among my top 3 favourites in Bangalore!
The food was brilliant, both the partners of this firm are really helpful, they make sure that you really have a good time at the restaurant or even If you are ordering take away. Value for money, good live music and amazing taste.
Dinner for 2 around 1200 of course with beer 😁
Classy ambience with delicious food and courteous service. Pricing is reasonable.
Crab rasam was ok too spicy.
Must try:
Seafood shashlik
Chilli Sambal Fish
I shall definitely visit again
I would have rated this place a 5 if not for the pushy service
They wanted us to order more suggesting the quantity of food we ordered is oli for one...well duh ! It was good enof for two
So the music the ambience and quality of food is the reason for me reviewing them.
The one thing that we have always loved about Bangalore - and still do - is its food. And one of the main reasons for us to visit the city 7 years after we left, was food.
Needless to say that while we had been eating non-stop for two days, but then on our last day, we had to slow down.. and i am glad we did because we knew my dinner is going to be special.
I had not been to Rooster's before but our hosts promised it was a great place and we had no reasons to question it. But I had not expected what I saw -- and got. The place is tastefully done and so happy and cheerful. I especially loved the illustrations on the wall -- and almost asked Sathish to gift me some, but better sense prevailed. The live band played lovely songs -- and also took requests. But the star of the evening was undoubtedly the food.
It started with Prawn Bang Bang and Beef Fry -- both tender, juicy, and rightly spiced and the filter coffee beer hit hard. The kappa -- a tapioca mash with fish was so beautiful that I forgot to eat it; the stew and pork curry ensured I stuffed myself to the gills. And while I write about it warly in the morning, my mouth us watering already.
A special mention for Sathish and his team who ensured that we we're not only stuffed but we're also very very happy and satiated like we had not been in many years.
I cannot wait to get back to Bangalore.
Excellent food and presentation. Great music and hospitality. The pandi fry and appam were great. Crisp, fresh, chilled beer. Valet service made it easy to access.
Although hard to notice this place but on a friend's recommendation I visited it. The place is good to sit and chill for hours.. Very good food especially if you're a beef and pork fan like me. The staff is very hospitable and best thing about this place is the fast service. Have visited this place twice and will do again for sure.
Must try bacon wrapped chilli pepper and bacon wrapped beef fillet 👍
Good place for beer lovers with a variety of beer cocktails, which is hard to find in other places. Still waiting for them to update their cocktail menu.. Hopefully in the near future..
Great food. Amazing ambience. Eargasmic Music. Lighting complements the awesome setting. Beef stroganoff was actually very good. Best place to spend a Saturday night.
Perfect place for having a good time with friends. The ambience is good and so is the food.
The steaks here are amazing. We started with chilly cottage cheese which very soft and the taste was perfect for a spicy starter. Then we had barbeque chicken steak with pepper sauce which tasted brilliant as well. After that we had been cutlet which was good as well. The French fries were very oily. That could be improved. Then we had Allemande Chicken with Nutmeg sauce. This steak actually made us love this place. It was so amazing.
In drinks we had virgin mojito, watermelon delight and Monica's Sangria. Mojito was good and Sangria had a different taste than usual mocktails.
Love the ambience, and all the food! Very friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for a catch up with lunch. I love the music they play as well. Best way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon with friends
A 60th birthday celebration with the family called for a luncheon celebration where there was food that was straight up our culinary alley. Our party of seven arrived at 1pm and we were graciously seated.
For starters, we opted for the Kerala syrian beef, the shrimp, jerk chicken, and an order of crab balls. The Kerala syrian beef with tapioca, though spicy, was very authentic. I loved the shrimp served on a prawn cracker along with the crab balls. The jerk chicken could have been given a miss.
For mains, we opted for grilled pork, chicken, nutmeg chicken, and anglo indian 'bad word' beef meat ball curry with appams. The grilled pork, while soft and tender enough that it fell off the bone, needed a little spice to pep it up. The nutmeg chicken was a nice filet, subtly flavored with nutmeg served with mashed potatoes was an interesting pairing that we quite enjoyed. Hands down, our favorite meal was the spiced beef meatball curry served in a mild gravy, in delightfully large coffee cups, and the appams were lacey and divine.
I must commend the servers who were well versed with the menu and took our recommendations and requests for mildly spiced food, as we had family members with sensitive stomachs. The meals were washed down with mocktails and beer and ended with desserts available.
Although I didn't get to see the bill, I'd highly recommend having a meal here. The food is GOOD, music wonderful and the service is splendid. Who can say no to that?
Rating says it all, a gem in Indiranagar which not many know off. Serves the best crab rasam in the town. Heavenly spiced but filled with burst of flavours and best is that it's open till 1over over the weekends. Staff and the chef are humble and super amazing, I can am sure you would never have any complaints coz that's what I realised when I was there for a quick dinner and ended up staying there for 3 hrs talking to the chef and the manager. Let it be the humble rasam or the appetizer like fish and mushrooms to the main course. It's just lip smacking food.
I don't review, but this definitely compelled me to thank the owner for servering such a meal, and write these lines which still doesnt do justice to what they served. I ordered fish steak with carper sauce, ol good tenderloin steak, brain masala, and tiramisu. I love steaks n mostly order fish or beef. Most places have good food, nothing new or unique, but this place felt like I was eating a steak for the first time, fell in love with it all over again. Not jus the meat, even vegetables were well done. It was a beautiful experience, honestly even eating that food was such an experience. Please try, it's worth every penny.
“EXCEPTIONAL” that’s the only way to describe roosters. Be it the ambience, music and above & beyond food quality. Since discovering this restaurant 2 months ago, I have already visited it more than 10 times and possibly have tried everything on the menu.
I can confidently say that I have not come across a dish I didn’t love.
This is a paradise in indiranagar especially for folks who love their meat. u won’t regret it.
A must visit!!!
PS: must try the Pandi fry and curry!
What's not to love! Everything the food, the music, everything :) Roosters should be on your Bangalore must eat list!
FYI: the crab rasam and pandhi curry are heavenly!!!
Had a great Sunday afternoon is this place. The ambience is really cool and the service is very good. We had the chicken spaghetti and it was really nice and so were the oreo milkshake and veg curry. Will visit again to try out their seafood.
Overall it was very nice !!
Amazing food. Great ambience. Rocking music. Ginger beer and filter coffee beer is outstanding. You can spend a few good hours chilling with friends here.
I love the food here , its really tasty and yummy... My favourite is "Ginger Beer" and
"Allemande Chicken with nutmeg sauce." A must try to all foodie lovers...
Awesome food.....service timing needs improvement but food is v tasty, owner personally meets guests. Overall place worth visiting....rare places on my revisit list...
A decent cozy place which serves yummy Italian food. We got the jalapeño poppers which was cheesy and tasty. The cannelloni florentine was the best with all the cheese, spinach and tomato sauce, it's a must try. We also got the Emilia's vegetable pasta which was yummy again. The ambience is good not over the top or anything and the service is great too!
Very good ambience. I loved the portraits they had hung on the wall. Awesome choice of music. Service and hospitality up to the mark. Staff was very courteous and helpful. We had ordered pandha fry which was really delicious. Allemande chicken with nutmeg sauce was yummy. Rooster's mixed grill which was suggested by our host/waiter was again meaty delight and we got too full with that. But I felt the steak could have been cooked more. That's my personal opinion. For drinks it was rooster's beer signature cocktail which was again good. So in one sentence, my visit was really good and I would love to go their again for good food, music and hospitality.
Amazing food and ambiance....the staff are very well trained... enjoyed the food and of course the beer... will definitely recommend this place
Excellent coastal food with great service and ambience as well. The live band (juke box) playing retro music made the experience a perfect evening.
They have the most amamzin game ambience. They have every from the traditional south Indian dishes to continental dishes. I loved heir white sauce sea food pasta. Just can't wait to go back again.
Amazing food and nice ambience. A good mix of Continental and South Indian cuisine. For non veg , it's a must go place. Do try the lamb shanks. Superb taste.. I LL definitely go again.
I ordered from here and the food was unbelievably delicious and generous portions. Little expensive. Absolutely loved it, keep up the good work :)
Visited this place over the weekend, and I'm glad I did! The name says "Soul Kitchen", and oh boy did the food touch my soul! Pandhi fry with a pint of beer is the best combo you could ask for, and these guys did not disappoint. The spices were on point and the meat was cooked to perfection. Ordered Pork Bafath for the main course and came out satisfied with that too. Surely visiting again to try other items on the menu.
1. Interiors: Very nice setting with the lights and everything in place. Standard classy interiors.
2. Staff and management: Very very friendly, knowledgeable to guide you very well on the menu and also win you over. New place, did suggest this kind of behaviour even when they become big.
3. Food: Very good. Very good explanation of the menu if you like to know on them.
Totally, it's a nice place which we wish that becomes big. Only serving beer as it has just started.
When late night dinner becomes quite regular and doesn't sound like an unusual thing!!
You tend to try new places given a platform like zomato, where you get to choose your food sitting at home and you are informed on the status of food.
Quite likely we chose Rooster's over other few restaurants because they have good menu listings.
Hands-down food is amazing!! No doubts, subtle flavors on stroganoff took the show, Pandi curry tasted heavenly until we noticed oil floating in thick layer over it(let down), other wise everything else tasted as assumed.
Delivery was quite quick
Kindly include spoon/fork and tissues to the packaging!!
Pocket friendly,I highly recommend this place!!
Thank you team
Lip smacking food.... Courteous people...... Soulful music..... Felt like home.....
Weekends rock with live music... Would love to come back again
Always love a place that can really make great food and provide such a cosy and warm ambience!! Roosters is just that! Delicious food - beef lovers Vedi erachi is a must and well everything else on the menu! Friendly and welcoming staff and overall just a lovely place to chill and dine! Keep up the awesome work!!
A place of sophistication is what I shall like to put it as. Live band play and the ambience was serene. The food was delicious. South Indian taste pallate is a little off the mark, but the dishes are delicious.
Excellent ambience, great proffessional service and exceptionally delicious food. Solo music very nice.
Management should focus on bringing in more business. I had been there 3 different occassions. I did have a awesome time and a great memorable evening. Good luck and all the very best. Thanks.
Being a guitarist myself it was a pleasure to listen to Steve ! He was amazing and had been playing all the swift notes which would arouse the feelings for our beloved !!! Food was amazing and yes the staffs were well mannered and suffered food with patience and ease ! Made me also order another beer ! Do visit this place and spend the evening holding the hand of the person u love and request for all romantic music ! From Eric Clapton to Boyzone !!
Somewhat aptly named as per my sister – at least the soul part. She found the ambience and the quiet very soothing and relaxing…great for a nice chatty dinner. The service is top drawer too. This location is not so visible from the road though it's bang at the T Junction. There were quite a few tables occupied on a weekday. This is one of the places I would recommend for a weekday quiet dinner where you can wind down.
They have very interesting beer cocktails – per the recommendation, we had the filter coffee beer and the Rooster Ginger Beer. Both were okayish. As soon as we checked the food menu, the first thing to catch our eye was the Bacon wrapped chilli peppers and it was very delicious as expected. Different and yum. Nice presentation as well. The other dish that was recommended was the Bang Bang Prawns. We had our reservations about the prawn crackers as those a have a stronger smell. But since the steward kept recommending this, we opted for these. Though the topping with prawn was good, both me and my sis could not get past the smell n taste of the cracker. For main course Lamb Shanks was recommended. We found the meat a bit stinky, we rarely favour lamb/mutton, so we asked for and got more sauce to eat with the meat, mint jelly and mashed potato. The garlic bread was really yum. The staff was very alert, friendly and good. Few recommendations did not work very well for us but since we both like Kerala food, we should have opted for that and that’s what we are going to do next time around. Overall place with good potential.
Yum food.... the filet mignon and Pandhi fry were delicious!!!!! Will definitely be coming back for more!!!!!
Don't miss the filet mignon.... one of the best eaten!
Roosters is a fine restaurant .
The staff and the owner is quite courteous and always even tempered
Have been here multiple times since they opened .
I recommend the Bang Bang prawns , Curry Leaf Chicken and brain masala for start with.
In the evenings they have music . They started with a Sunday Brunch last weekend.
Chicken Bafat with the ceylon paratha it Appams is a good bet. They have pretty good kerala parathas as well.if it was closer to my home , I would visit every day .
The place was really clean well maintained and the staff were very brilliant, I really appreciated the food and will surely come back again.
Had a great time here. Food and ambience were great. Saturday night had live music. Must try item: kappa meen curry. I did not love the chicken stew and appam- it could have been better.
Extra ordinary experience.. if you want to get out of the havoc in the city and have a peaceful time, it's the best place. And the best part is the customer service.. Anyone would enjoy the experience.
Probably one of the best restaurants in bangalore in terms of hospitality. A great place to try some good south indian food. Was a bit disappointed with the quantity of beer battered fish fry. However appm with lamb stew was big hit. The ambience is great and the place is perfect if you want to have great food and accompany it with a drink. The place only servers beer and a few beer based cocktails and kingfisher is the only option thats available. That's probably because they want to keep it the good old fashioned way. Personally i think having a few more drinks options can work wonders for them. Music is great and the place is not crowded at all. A must visit place if you are in a mood for trying something different. Brownie points to them for the great hospitality.
Other food recommendation :- Pandi Curry
Just too good.! Was a bit sceptical when I saw the restaurant from the outside. But believe me it's just fab from inside. Had authentic Kerala food, just loved it. They served all the dishes we ordered with atmost love. Will definitely pay another visit. Staffs and the owner were really friendly. I wanted to click food pic but this ambiance made me not to do so.
For anyone looking for a cozy place that serves great food combined (soul kitchen it is!) with good music from back in the day, Roosters is your best bet! The added attraction is a feel of good old Bangalore and It's child friendly too.
I expected this to be just another place that serves American food. I was wrong. They have an amazing variety of food that tastes very good. Quantity and quality of food is also worth the money. We were here during the happy hours and hence we enjoyed fresh crisp beer with the amazing food. They have done well with the ambiance as well. However I do suggest them to make use of their central space to accommodate more customers. The sofas can't accommodate too many when compared to individual table. I loved everything else. Will be back here soon.
I just returned home and was craving an ambience close to home that served soul food. Rooster to the rescue! From their South Indian menu I recommend their masala fried prawns, Kerala pork vindaloo with Sannas, Kerala paratha with crab curry, and a friend of mine had a bacon wrap fillet mignon and savoured every bite! Their service and ambience adds to the whole experience and makes you feel right at home enriched with soul food. @Neeti Gokhalay Kheny let's go listen to music from the ester years soon.
Fantastic food, excellent service and the shandy is delicious and the beer is crisp and fresh. This place can be for any occasion, right from your birthday, to a date, or to just hang out with your friends. It's easy on your wallet too! I would go back here for seconds. And thirds. Especially for the "pandi fry" and scrumptious fried chicken.
Visit roosters on a wednesday night, we were little late but SATISH - the man was helpful to serve
Got us the food so quick that I thought it won't be good means- but I was wrong - mouthwatering is d word just came to my mind , m not a blogger but quality of the food pushed me to write about it. Must visit place anyday, anytime of the week.
Very nice place. Good ambience. Food was very tasty. Loved the keema parota. Waiters are very hospitable. Overall loved the experience. 😊😊
Great place, loved the art on the walls. The Kerala Pork Vindaloo was excellent with appams. Very good service too. Would definitely go back for more.
Went there twice and each time I had high points and low points.
First Visit:
We were looking for café thulp and we found Roosters in its place. I hadn't heard about this place and decided to explore. The interiors are cozy and the paintings depicting areas of Bangalore in a caricaturish way is a pleasant and friendly. The staff is friendly. The menu has a south indian and continental fusion to it. The squid was super yummy and soft. We ordered varieties of continental dishes, the steak flavors were nice. I had ordered a medium to well done steak, but got a rare to medium. Usually I don't go for medium also in restaurants that I have not eaten before. The steak was a bit underdone but flavors were nice. Sea food soup is superb.
Second Visit:
Took a friend our for his birthday party. No steaks bummer :(. The server suggested us to try lamb and it was good. I had a fried chicken. Tasted good but the crumb fry layer was a bit tough. I ordered the squid again in anticipation but this time it was very chewy and rubbery. The pandhi fry was good. Finished the lunch off with an apple pie which was normal.
Brilliant place ...good ambience good draught beer and awesome food ...beef fry and shredded beef reminded me of the good old laid back bengaluru ..it was tender ,fresh and just right I'm terms of spices . For main course it was crab rasam and steamed rice for me ..the quantity was just right and the crab very very fresh ....we finished it off with butter chocolate mousse ..Roosters is one of the best places to try Malabar style cooking and also for coorgi pork ...must try places in Blore ...
Cheers
the food was really good and beer mocktails are amazing. must try guntoor chicken for spicy lovers and jerk chicken for barbeque lovers. in veg we tried veg stronganoff was just wow!!!
Went there for the first time a couple of days ago and was very pleasantly surprised at how homely the place felt especially with the live music performance. The staff are extremely friendly and the Paul Fernandez painting along all the walls always make me feel very happy.
Coming to the food, i loved the variety of dishes and cuisines available. Me being a veterinarian i was very happy to find that i had enough of the choice of dishes unlike some other places i have visited. The stuffed mushrooms were so good and so were all the aapms and egg parathas that i tried out. If i were to nit pic i could say that the speed at which my aapams arrived were a little slow.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes south Indian and continental food especially their unique creations.
I absolutely loved this place... starting from the decor to the food. The burst of flavours in my mouth was an experience! The prawns had the perfect combination of hot and spice... the soup hit the spot and the chicken melted in my mouth... have to visit soon...
Loved the ambience, the food and the service! Ordered Beer batter fish fry, pandhi fry for starters. Grilled chicken(with the most amazing peppery mushroom sauce), bacon wrapped fillet mignon and the tenderloin steak, cooked to perfection. Can't really remember what we ordered for dessert except that we ordered an another portion of the chocolate mousse after we finished the first! Can't wait to visit again!
We visited this place a couple of weeks back. We didn't have a reservation and the place was full. Unfortunately by the time the staff found us a couple of seats, we had to leave for some place for about an hour. By the time we were back, the place was still full. However the staff were able to find us a table. Thank you so much for being courteous and accommodating. You guys really rock!
Now the food...we ordered the bang bang prawns and chilli chicken for starters. The chicken was passable. It wasn't poor or bad by any standards- not the dish of the day, but a really safe bet. The prawns were really good. I stumbled on the drinks - The Monica's Sangria was not fully to my liking, but probably I would attribute that to my choice of taste.
They didn't have the one thing I badly wanted: the kappa was over. So I had to settle with the bacon wrapped fillet mignon with pepper sauce. I usually go for a well-done steak, a choice that stems mostly out of a lack of faith in our cooking methods, but the restaurant staff encouraged me to go for the medium rare option. Needless to say it was perfectly cooked and juicy.
The evening was perfectly rounded off with their brilliant blueberry cheesecake.
This place is really worth it. A sure place for revisits.
The food and ambience is really great. Must try that grilled chicken steak! The staff are really sweet and professional. You surely will get your money's worth.
This is a quite, cosy and small place nestled on 80 feet road. It's a casual dine in cum lounge bar. The highlight of this place is their service which is very good and their food. All the starters and main course was very tasty and freshly made. Really enjoyed the experience
In all the cacophony that Indiranagar has become, its nice to see a place which has captured the charm of Bangalore of the 90s. Menu items curated for south indian taste buds, simple cocktails, draught beer, friendly and knowledgeable waiters and a live band playing jazz.
The only grouse I had was that the place is very small for all that it offers. Some of the tables are squeezed together making private conversations impossible. Hope they expand and flourish.
Brilliant ambience I must say it makes you feel very welcome and comfortable the owner is an.extremely friendly person with a great personality. The food too was stupendous and my two teenage boys too liked the food. Definitely recommend this place
Reji Uncle and Satish have worked their magic again. This is the Mecca for most Pork related dishes. The food is extremely delicious with no extra oil. Definitely tickles your taste buds. We ordered Bang Bang Prawns, Crab Meatballs , Squid Masala & Bacon Wrapped Chilli Peppers. Soup was Chicken Rasam Soup. Main course - Mixed Grill Steak, Tenderloin Steak, Sannas and Pandhi Curry. The staff and the ambience make you feel at home.
We visited Rooster's on a Saturday evening, the ambience was very retro, old school type, with the walls are ordained with caricature kind paintings of Bangalore as it was in the good old days. The music wooed us with soulful melodies from the 70's and 80's played live by a band. The food is an eclectic mix of continental pub grub and the classical South Indian delectables which catered perfectly to all our taste buds.
I strongly recommend trying the curry leaf chicken which was melt in the mouth succulent, the Kerala beef with onions - yum!, for the soupy guppies the madras curry soup is a must try ( it can be made veg or non veg on request) and the appams and fish curry.
Rooster's will promise you a laid back evening with friends, soulful music amidst an old school ambience with great food.
Great ambience, live music, friendly staffs and the food sure is lip-smacking finger-licking delicious!!! An absolutely lovely place for scrumptious food! From ambience to service, Roosters seems to have it all. It sort of takes you back to the good old pubs of Bangalore that serve hearty and well portioned food Hope it remains the same and this place is definitely a must try for all who plan to hang out in and around Indiranagar, Bangalore.
The ambience is really good. Some nice country rock music playing. The staff are very courteous. The menu is well balanced. The taste is really good. Overall an awesome place.
The menu is limited but the food tastes awesome. Had some really good dishes. Nice place to go over weekends.
A place with authentic mallu mess kinda food and draught beer flowing is definitely my kinda place :P
For drinks, the place only serves kf draught and beer cocktails, there was Kerala, coorgi and continental food on the menu, we had 2 mouths to feed on the table and stuck to the Kerala fare
Started off with the eratchi va@$???something :P and squid rings, the eratchi was lip smacking and the squid kinda soggy , next came the crab soup, I'm generally not a crab eater, but finished the soup without qualms, was not brothy but was rasam like and spicy
For the mains we tried the kappa meen and kappa eratchi which came with fish gravy and had the same eratchi va@$%¥€£u
Coming to the portions, the starters could do with some improvement but on the other hand the mains were too filling for a person to finish
Overall a nice place with s retro touch, will b a regular
This place is not even a month old(I think) and I've already been here twice for lunch.
First thing that struck me was the decor. As you walk in, the place is full of Paul Fernandes prints, and that combined with the centre skylight is the Old Kerala home feel with Old Bangalore in its contemporary best.
The first time I tried their continental food. I had the Southern Deep Fried Chicken with Kilpatrik Sauce. Let me tell you that if you come here from office please be prepared to have zero productivity after lunch, because that's what happened to me. And I have no regrets!
The chicken was soft inside and had the perfect crunch and crisp outside. The Kilpatrik Sauce was full of flavour and the entire dish was the most delicious combination of Bacon-y flavour.
The second time I was there, I opted for the Pandhi Curry and Appams, and Chilli Sambal Fish. Now I'm not seafood-crazy, so I'm a bit choosy about it. But this - I have never tasted anything like this. Everyone should try this fish. It's the best combination of chargrilled and sweet and chilli.
And the Pandhi Curry had the softest pork with the fullest flavour so there is no question about the taste and you can order it with your eyes closed. The Appams were soft and crispy and complimented the curry very well.
Overall, 10 on 10 for ambience, 10 on 10 for service and 15 on 10 for the food. Perfect for a Sunday lunch with family or friends or even if you go Han Solo.
Wonderful ambience, pretty good food, soulful live music that keeps you amazed and yeah! not too expensive.

The Kerala cuisine seemed authentic and wonderful... Great food, good ambiance, great family place.
I ordered from here and the food was unbelievably delicious and generous portions. Absolutely loved it, keep up the good work :)
We were pleasantly surprised by the ambience , the band playing nice soulful rock music. The food was very nicely prepared and served. The waiters were courteous to us. We would love visit again. Sad that they don't serve wine other than beer. It's a compulsory drink for the kind of delicacies they serve.
I would recommend them to keep sustaining the services with slight tweaks as it will pleasant surprise for repeat guest
A must visit place... If you are a foodie, jazz lover, desert lover... tiramisu, cheese cake, butter chocolate mousse is a must try...
