Food, ambiance, service all good. Good parking space in front and green entry area ( we went late night so could not make out much). Mangalore tiles roof, open air gazebo feel, dim lighting. Service was good though a bit rushed as we went in close to closing time. The various Indian breads and Paneer Tikka Masala suited our taste. The green salad was also fresh despite the late hour.
Dont write reviews normally but my kid forced me to write one. He liked the paneer pepper and egg fried rice. He wanted us to rate 5* and write a small review.
we found the food to be a bit on the spicier side but the taste was bang on. We loved it and so did the kids(except for the spicier side).

They've got some amazing varieties to choose from and their dishes taste yum! It's not a closed place. There are a lot of mosquitoes. I'd advise putting on some mosquito repellent. But it's a must visit to taste some really good food.
Hands down the best place to have a somewhat fancy family dinner near Kanakpura road. A little expensive but the ambience, the food and the setup is really worth it.
They have a little garden for Kids to play in. They also serve alcohol and have a separate area for those looking to have a good time.

It’s an amazing place to hangout with family and friends. We as family never felt so comfortable in any other Resturant’s where alcohol is served, but in swadeshi they have ensured to keep the family place secured. I specially respect Captain Siddu, he is humble, polite, and very helpful. Anytime we visit Swadeshi he is our first preferred captain, he has a unique way of handling customers and always surprises with a different choice of food. We simply go by his suggestions while ordering anything.
Overall swadeshi is a good and must visit restaurant on Kanakapura Road, highly recommended if you have to taste good food

One of the only family friendly restaurant near Raghuvanahalli in an area of bars. Regular customer. Their manchow soup is one of my favorites. Butter chicken and naan one of my favorite combos.
The good place to go if you like a long drive from city. Once the metro work is done it will be much better for the drive. A good place to go with family to have small drinks and nice food. Now they have bigger parking area and it is very spacious and individual cabins for a family and baby chairs are ptovided and it is a plus point at swadedhi 🤗

The ambience is good. We had ordered roti and kulcha. Both were soft and didn't become hard after some time. We had ordered navaratna Kurma and palak corn curry. Both were good and not spicy. Only the Hara bara kabab was very small in size and oknin taste.
Visited this place last year on new year's Eve and this year too...this place is well decorated with great Ambience to visit anytime with family and frnds...we had booked our table hence we didn't have problem in finding the place...well coming to the food,it was just awesome,taste was delicious and served hot... deserts we have less options...the place is bit crowded always...night time would be great with mild music and small fountain around...cool Ambience and service is pretty good...
Went here for dinner. It was extremely dimly lit! Not even romantic, just dim. A candle would have helped. Ordered the naan, laccha roti, and methi paratha. The laccha bread was not soft... It was a little crispy. Naan was fine, paratha was ok. Side of nargis kofta (it was nice).
The serving sizes are good, the waiters were attentive and ready to help with servings from the bowl without prompting, and the price was reasonable.
Overall a nice place, some of the items do need improvement, but generally OK food. Would return to try new dishes.

Not much rush at 9pm. Food was great mushroom clear soup, honey chilli potatoes with sesame seeds, baby corn Manchurian (semi gravy) and paneer butter masala, with rotis, all served hot on table. Visited this place for dinner on Sunday. Good food and fast service. Chicken and fish were well cooked and spicy- the way my wife and son liked. Lots of families around probably as it was Sunday. Vegetarian fare also was good.

Ordered online and the food was really good! We asked for less oil and they didn't disappoint us! The only issue being that the food wasn't as spicy as expected. But it was still tasty. Would recommend this place if you're ordering.

Well... this place was choice of my wife... most of the time her choice of restaurant turns out to be pffffff... but this one was quite good. Slightly on outskirts of city. But a calm place woth to visit. Enterance was lush green with plants and flowers and bougainvillea. Wide screen for the cricket lovers. Full family place. No parking issues at all.
So 4 star for ambiance.
Service was quite rude. Person who took the order was much insecure for his menu and was not allowing to have a better look. Dont know why he was in rush.

It had been a long time we spent good time in a dhaba. Yesterday (05 February) morning I called up three of my friends to see if they were free for the day, and lucky me, they were. Decided to meet around 11.30, and drive on Kanakapura road or Bannerghatta road in search of a good dhaba, which isn't too crowded and served good food and liquor. One of our friend lives very close to upcoming Kanakapura Metro station, and he knew quite a few places. Along the way some he rejected and some were crowded, and in the process we almost reached Kanakapura. Then being fed up of narrow lane traffic and blazing hot day., our friend said we better get back to city, and spend our day in Swadeshi's.
The place is quite big, not a typical dhaba but more of with-family types. Our friend took us towards the very back of the restaurant, where you'll find individual huts with tables for six's and ten's., and each hut had a small ceiling fan, which was a blessing. Two menu's were given, one for food and one for liquor. Prices are moderate and quite extensive - both veg and non-veg. We ordered two veg starters, two chicken starters, peanut masala and masala papad, along with one Tuborg, two Mansion House brandy's and Bacardi White rum. All the starters were very tasty and quite spicy (which is the way we'd ordered). Next we ordered egg-burji, egg-chilly and some chicken starter (their specialty). Egg-chilly was spot-on, but their chicken specialty was a disaster. It was bland and had a tinge of sweetness, a big let down. Since all of their other starters were good, we let the day's special chicken dish pass. We repeated egg-chilly, and our drinks. Finally for main course, ordered butter naan, egg masala, and fried rice. Naan's were soft and egg masala was spicy. With this we called it a day. Overall we spent close to four hours in Swadeshi's, and I'd definitely recommend. Staff is good, serving time is pretty quick, the place is neat and clean, added advantage being, its a good place for family's to visit, with ample parking space.

Have been visiting since a year and since the day one I have struck on the kalmi in my every order . All the tandoori items are a great treat to your taste buds . .... And also you can have some great time in evenings with some alcohol and perfectly toasted food along with it ... we recommend a chilled beer along with kalmi Kabab /tandoori chicken/ hara Bhara kabab if in case of vegans . And for the main course - garlic naan with kaju masala and veg biriyani . . . A nice place to celebrate nearby the city limits .

I was at the Raceway motorsports and checked this place online while coming back. The parking was available easily. Now comes the ambience. It looked very nice. It was indeed good. Ample seating at this place. Now the food. We ordered kadhai paneer, Naan and lassi. The quantity and taste was good. Liked it. Would live to come back here.
Everytime I have been there, I have ordered their Biriyani. Its really amazing. Their pepper chicken is also worth mentioning. The place is laid back & very good atmosphere in the evening. It's on the main kanakapura road & difficult to reach due to the traffic & the ongoing metro work.

I went here last night with my potential clients to discuss business and it was my second time there. The first time there was a total disaster with loud mouthed, drunk youngsters (doesn't mean I am old 😋) had dominated the place and hence, I was apprehensive about visiting this place. Since our potential client had recommended this place for a quick dinner, I agreed and we met there.
It was a cold evening and it stopped raining by the time I reached there. I was pleasantly surprised to see a totally different ambience this time around and it was awesome! I saw a lot of families dining in the family (no smoking) section and the place was full, considering it was mid-week and the place is in the outskirts of the city.
We then started ordering and my client started with a tandoori chicken followed by a few rounds of drinks. Also in their order were malai tikka and a lamb based starter. Being a vegetarian , I stuck to the humble masala papad and the snazzy mushroom pepper dry.
While my clients was delighted with what they got, I was a happy camper as well.
Note: always order masala papad without tomatoes if you are a slow eater and do not want masala water running on your plate and making your papad soggy.
The mushroom pepper dry is one of the things that I would come back here every single day; it was amazingly done with the spices not too overpowering and the spicy green chillies along with chopped ginger, garlic and whole curry leaves.
For dinner, the client went with a mutton biriyani and I filled myself up with their ghee rice.

Swadeshi's is one of the well known restobar located in Kanakapura Road. I happened to visit on a week day for a late lunch with my colleagues. Parking shouldn't be an issue, as it was quite comfortable to park our Innova amidst a number of vehicles parked already.
Ambience is quite good with well maintained lawn and garden. It provides quite an unique and peaceful experience unlike most of the other places out there. There were multiple chambers - with smoking and non-smoking options - to choose from depending up on the size of our group. This place was pretty crowded with college goers on the day we visited. Oh yes, it is Summer holidays for them I presume..
Food isn't really top-notch. Most of the items we tried, falls under average category. They do serve drinks which are quite reasonably priced. Service isn't up to the mark either. In an hurry to serve the customers, they did get few things wrong.
Overall, it is a nice place to chill out with friends.. Give it a try..

Located close to NICE road on kanakpura road. The restaurant can be located easily. There is a lot of parking space at the front. The entrance has a small well maintained lawn. There is separate seating area for families (non-smoking) and they have individual tables at the sides and rear for smoking. The pricing is OK and is competitive with other restaurants of the same standard. The tandoori veg platter is great. Food seems to be of very good quality. The kitchen looks hygienic. The taste is excellent as well. The ambience is good and the staff are very courteous and always smiling. They don't charge any taxes on top of their menu price. Alcohol is served at the restaurant and outside alcohol is not allowed. The music is not loud and played at a perfect volume. They have a big screen in the family area. They play all matches. They have a two LED TVs in the smoking zone. Overall, a good place to visit.
Best place to spend quality time with friends and family. It gives you a private hut, where you can enjoy the time and their food is amazingly good especially the panner starters. Service was very quick especially on Friday evening. Totally loved it. Will visit again soon.

This is the second visit to this place after having a good experience for the first time.... This on the kanakapura road... Ambiance is really clean and neat.... Peaceful ambiance.. They also have a well maintatined garden at the entrance with children play area.. Hot and sour chicken soup was yum.. For the starter had ordered Guntur chicken, Kalmi kabab and Anagar kabab(for the spice lovers). Main course the chicken biryani dint impress me much in the first time visit so had to choose ghee rice and chili chicken with some fresh lime soda is a prefect meal.
We have always ordered home delivery from here. Indian food is great, very tasty and delivered promptly. Biryani needs lot of improvement, but the breads, pulao and other Gravy's are very tasty
The closest eating place to my college. I have come here with friends and what a place this is to escape the rush of the city. The food is great. The starters especially are mouth watering. The ambience really sets this place apart. I will rate it higher because I go here a lot and I am never disappointed. Good place to have for beer.
Ambiance was excellent compared to the food. Main course doesn't deserve a much applaud, they use a big bucket for dal n those stuffs but the quantity is too less for the money. Starters were too good. Good restaurant to visit with friends.

And specially the dal kichidi😍 loved it.
A small suggestion/ area of improvement to the management, can do better regarding the egg starters which were tasting little low when compared with other ones.

As the name says the environment around the hotel is good it's completely desi. Food is above average one thing I hated about the place was about the service its too slow if they race along with the snail I think the snail would win the competition but nevertheless other things compensated with the service.

Amidst all shady bars and restaurants on kanakpura road, you'll find the brightly lit and spacious Swadeshi's.
I went on a weekday night only to be surprised by the number of parked cars outside, found out later that it's partly due to a birthday party being held there.
Anyhoo, upon friends recommendation ordered 3 plates of chicken tikka directly. It was a classic spicy chicken tikka with the famous green chutney. Doesn't disappoint, really good!
With some brevity after, ordered lemon chicken (hoping it to be as good as places we had before like satyas, southern spice), unfortunately it was bad. Chicken overcooked and hence hard with a lump of lemon and onion on top of it.
Final order of starters was murgh full, it was very similar to chicken tikka and hence good but also bad because we'd wanted to taste something different.
Special mention - peanut masala!
Not so special mention - chicken biryani, its your average chicken biryani (not dum), a bit oily. Nothing great.
I suggest you try something else for main course.
Don't forget to order chicken tikka though!

Great restaurant for traveling diners. Nice landscaping at the entrance and well maintained place. Food is great and cocktails are good.
Kid friendly place too. The place has live music and friendly staff.. had been to celebrate new year. It was fun.
The restaurant interior is well designed with fountains and separate smoking area. The entrance itself is amazing and photogenic with greenery. It also has a banquet hall. The service and the response of staff is good. There are huts and separate places for drinking. Family would also enjoy the place. Food is good, quantity and quality are fair. They serve fast. Ambience, price,location and service deserve a 4-star.

Everything is good except for the price. The price per item is high. Even starters around are INR 250. Mocktails cost 220 to 300.
Firstly thank the team for providing their service at late night. They were almost closed since we were family we requested them to provide service. Food was good, and we liked the varieties and qty. Dal Chawal could have been better.
I have tried very few North Indian food serving restaurants in Bengalru. As I am very find of South Indian food. So it's been long and a friend of mine told me about it. So I planned it on a weekday as I need not to cook.
The place is fine dine. Atmosphere is good. Lights are dim and that makes the place fit for romantic chats. All kind of food is served. Taste is good. The best part of it that orders are served very fast. You don't have to wait for long.
Service is good too.
There is a separate smoke area outside, you can sit and enjoy food with smoking. There is a small kids area also. You will get high chairs for toddlers.
Though I had noticed that the table cloths are not very clean.
