Visited this restaurant for a Sunday lunch..
Best place for people like who love meat.
Started with sallu ki butter chicken, tried butter chicken in so many restaurants but nothing can be compared to this.. chicken mixed with lumsome amount of butter taste so heavenly especially with naan. It's the best I have ever tasted.
Barrah chops, which is a mutton starter cooked with the amazing flavours made me go wow with a single bite. The masala used in this starter is so mouth watering.
Tried the mutton sheek, which is grinded perfectly and cooked at the best temperature.
Also tasted the Naal Nihari which is a mutton stew, the mutton is quite soft and tender and the contents of bone marrow can be slurped in a go.
Their Main course, chichabas mutton biryani, can be smelled from far, the fragrance fills your stomach, and the taste makes you forget everything.
Coming to the dessert ande ka meetha , first time trying this , learned that such good dessert can be made from egg.
Over all a paradise for Meat lovers

Opened in 1935 , they still continue to serve some delicious mughlai and North Indian food.
A perfect place for the non vegetarians. Their chicken and mutton starters are a must try. Especially the burrah chops and the famous Delhi aslam butter chicken.
They have a big menu of amazing starters and main course.
The Nalli Nihari was cooked to perfection. The chicken and mutton biryani was superb with well cooked meat.
To end such a great meal , they have some great options for desserts as well.

Final FOODIZS verdict it’s a meaty heaven for all those non-veg fanatics...
Chichabas Taj, started in Shivajinagar and serving people from 1935 had branches in Bangalore. But was named under a different name for all these days!!!
But recently it came back to its roots and got rebranded with their old logo to all its branches too!!!
Now let's talk food!! Being a hardcore chicken lover I never liked Red meat much and so wasn't really a fan of Mutton. But this place surely made a difference in my opinion. This is one of the best mutton I have had till date.(yes there were a few dishes which could be better but on an over all experience, this place was a real hit!!!)
The service was real good and friendly.
The must have Mutton dishes here are mutton Sheekh kebab and the Bheje ki galouti(this is one of the best!! I hadn't tasted the brain till date and if i hadn't known it were the brain then I wouldn't guess it was that!!! This is a must must have!!) Even the Paya here is a must try(I am more of a person who enjoys only the soup🙈🙈)
Let's talk about the showstopper now!! The Sallu ki butter chicken!!! (Made on order and with lots of ghee, the dish comes all the way from Delhi to increase your calories and make you feel it was worth every bit...🤤🤤)
No meal ends without a dessert and the dessert that I really cherished here even after i was really stuffed was the Firni!!!
How could I miss the one thing people always cherish on!? Yes the Biriyani!!! It's a perfect place to quench your biriyani cravings too!!
All the other dishes were good too..😁😁 do try all the things and let me know if you have any other dish that you liked better!!!

Chichaba's Taj is now rebranded to TAJ !!!
This place has been serving delicious lip smacking, droolworthy food from 1935 and still going on.This restaurant do holds a long & strong trait in the history of muslim cusine.
Talking about the ambience the olave is well lit and has the best decor suitable for the place. The staffs are so friendly. Parking is also available.
Now lets dig into the food, They have a wide range of non-veg and veg starters andntheu are just immaculate. The masala was so well blended with the meat and was cooked to perfection. We also tried their biscotti which was literally a amazing treat for my taste buds. Do try their chai which is expectionally amazing. I had 3 cups of chai to satisfy myself.
Mutton Seekh kabab was literally out of this world and one of the best seekh I have had till now
Now talking about their mutton biryani which is made out of zeera rice was so good, I enjoyed each and every bite I took. The mutton iser in the biryani was so juicy and soft.
For desserts do try their Firni which is givennis a small matka !!! the desserts are really promising
Over all Taj is a meaty heaven for all the non veg food lovers & a good place to enjoy good food with family memebrs !!!
Chichaba's Taj is a very known place in Shivaji Nagar and now they have opened an outlet in Frazer town with a new logo.
This is the place where you will get the proper dhaba style food and cost with a great ambiance. Aromatic and absolute delicious.
I love lamb and hence this place felt like heaven to me when I had their mutton seekh kabab, paya, lamb chops, & mutton biryani.
I would love to mention that they baked me and my friends their special biscotti with chai which isn't in the menu but it was supper yum. And I would highly recommend the sheermal.
Apart from all this, the owner is very gentle and the staff is humble. Lovely experience overall.
Chichaba's Taj has history starting pre-independence day's from 1935 which is great story for itself, however it's really challenging for them to be authentic and stay relevant in today's time where we can find specialized restaurant coming up on a regular basis.
And they have accepted the challenge and Chichaba's Taj has come up with idea to do rebranding and it will be known as Taj Hotel with a new logo and Menu.
We went with group of friends and got opportunity to try both veg and non veg.
We all were flabbergasted with the food taste, everything was cooked to its perfection, meat and chicken was tender and juicy and they really stand by their tag line Wahi Taste Naya Andaz.

Chichaba's Taj has a history dating back to 1935, when they first opened at Shivajinagar. Subsequently they have outlets at HRBR and Frazer Town, albeit with different logos. They have now rebranded themselves and have gone back to their roots with their original logo, and relaunched a new menu of traditional Muslim cuisine. Was part of a mixed group, and I'll be reviewing the vegetarian spread we had.As it was a little early that we reached there, we started with masala tea and their special Biscotti, which is, biscuits made of roti. This is one unique dish that is an absolute must have - thin crisp and a perfect companion to piping hot tea.
For starters we had Lal mirch Paneer ki Phaal, Kumbh Shaan-e-aam, Paneer Tikka and Ande ka Phaal. The Paneer ki Phaal deserves a special shout-out - succulent slabs of paneer stuffed with mashed potato, coated with a spicy paste and cooked to perfection. Couldn't have enough of it, even the non-vegetarians in the group fell in love with the dish.
The Paneer Tikka was delectable and went well with the mint chutney served with it - had a lovely achari flavour to it.
Kumbh Shaan-e-aam is a stuffed mushroom dish and is another very good dish. The last starter was Ande ka Phaal, a mashup of boiled eggs in a pepper based sauce and topped with fresh greens.
For main course, we had seviyan, sheermal and Paneer kalimirch.
Tender chunks of paneer cooked in a fiery chilly and black pepper gravy. Paired well with the white rice seviyan, that very closely resembled the idiyappams of Kerala.
We were also served the traditional Persian flatbread Sheermal, that had a tinge of sweetness, from the milk and saffron used in preparing the batter.
Up next was Veg Biryani, served with onion raita and baingan ka salan. Now this was very different in taste from the gravy or mirch ka salan served in other places, and I mean that in a very good way. The baingan was not overcooked, and its texture complemented the soft rice perfectly. A very good rendition, if I may.
No meal is complete without desserts and this one was no different. Enter the classical Mughlai dish, phirni, a pudding made of ground rice cooked in sweetened milk with saffron, badam and elaichi. Simple and absolutely delicious. But the pièce de résistance for the evening was the Ande ki Mithai. A traditional dish typically served in Muslim weddings, and one that is rarely found in restaurants, this one takes the cake. A baked dish of eggs, khoya, ghee and some flour, it was tender, soft and had a wonderful texture that felt magical with every bite! A really perfect ending to a splendid meal!
Service was very good and the staff were polite.

I have been eating from this place for donkey’s years and I wonder how I missed on reviewing them. Luckily I happen to visit them on the day they were renaming themselves to what they are famously known as ‘Taj Hotel’ back to their old days glories. From childhood Taj hotel has always been a choice for not just me but my entire family it was always our go to place when it comes to the yummy biryanis their kebabs and many other dishes that they are famous for. It was nice to see this modern concept get a traditional name just like how it was in Shivaji Nagar.
Now, am gonna recite a meatilicios tale!! There was this restuarant called Chichabas Taj, which is now called as Taj which actually is the original name from the place once upon a time. Taj really gave me a feel called as Wah!! Taj..
Here is where I had the best Sheekh Kebab of Namma Bengaluru!! Started with a Biscoti which is a biscuit made with Roti and chai!! I don't have adjectives to describe such amazing biscotis, and there is not much to mention about the amazing chai.
The kebabs and chops here are delectable. They make wonders with meat here. The best Sheekh Kebab of uru is here. The Brain Galouti is a must try where it is served with shermal, minced meat with peices of brain make this amazing 😍 . The Haryali chops or mutton chops marinated with green chilli is the star of the day!! Paya soup is another delicacy where one should not miss, the fat woukd be floating on the soup, with peppery instincts, this can be a perfect winter food.
How can one not have Biryani here!! Short grain rice with soft mutton peices in a red chilli marination make this fantastic.
For dessert, we should definitely go for Phirni, a muslim style dessert is again utterly awesome.
Vegetarians have special dishes curated, which are equally droolworthy.
What's In Your Menu.?!

If you are a Muslim style biryani lover, then this is a must visit place. They have authentic Muslim cuisine. They have mouth watering chicken kabab too.
Loved the Mutton Biryani. Chicken biryani was delicious too. Meat was tender and juicy. The biryani is made of seeraga samba rice. Mild in taste and very flavour full. It is accompanied with raitha and brinjal red gravy.
The staffs are courteous. In love with the biryani here. Worth visiting.
Not crowded on weekdays. Best place to eat and have a smile on ur face. The waiters are very polite and are always at your service.
One of the best Bangalore Biriyanis you can get for the money. Especially the mutton Biriyani. The mutton sheekh is always a treat. Properly cooked each and every time. A must visit place 👍🏾
We reached here on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30 for a brunch, it was less crowded at that time and they served us very quickly. We liked mutton biriyani and chicken kabab.
Good food
Value for money, extremely tasty food, especially the lamb chops, even got Complimentary sweets towards the end. A must visit place for Foodies
Thanks a lot to debkumar&team
We visited on a weekday night around 8pm and not much rush. We ordered their mutton briyani and chicken kabab. Their desserts in the menu was not available. Food were not spicy, good in taste. Kababs were bit more oily. Value for money while using Zomato gold.
One of the Legndary outlets in Bangalore serving authentic Muslim cuisine since 1935. It’s definitely one of the best in Frazer town.
One fine Wednesday when I decided to have a lot of chicken, I was searching for restaurants in Frazer town. I found this one in Zomato Legendary outlets collection and thought of giving a try.
I tried Chichbaba’s chicken dum biriyani and Murgh Kebab. Dum biriyani was unique and okay. chicken in Biriyani was smooth and juicy. But, I did not like the masala much since it was a bit sour. Murgh Kebab was mouthwatering. After a long time, I felt that I’m having proper kebab. Kebab with a combination of Onion and Thumsup was one of the best feelings I had here.
Service was good. Servers were attentive even where it is occupied. I was seated in first floor, hence ambience was good. I found a bit of foul smell in the ground floor. I was not seated there so I cannot comment much on that. Prices are low. I can say this place is budget friendly when compared to similar restaurants in Bangalore.
I would recommend this place to all Muslim cuisine lovers. I’m a bit skeptical about their biriyani but I’m sure other delicacies will satisfy taste buds.

Tandoor chicken was not that great it wasn't like tandoori what we usually have.
Good staff Good service.
By far the best tandoori chicken in town .. mutton biryani also worth a mention .. order was served at the table in a giffy.. Waiter named Muzzafar Shaikh was extremely courteous, kept coming multiple times to check if something was needed .. Frankly wasn't expecting this kinda service here .. The 60's music in the background would definately be liked the seniors . Recommended 👍
I visited here at the time of Ramzan!
Though they are many restaurants in Frazer town chichabas is one of it, which you will turely enjoy n Love the taste of their Biryani.

A must-visit restaurant during the holy month of Ramzan. This place has counters on the outside to cater to the street food requirements during Raman. Howeve, they also have indoor seating available throughout the year and I chose to be seated indoor.
The mutton biryani is delicious and the mutton pieces are tender. I also had their mutton seekh kabab which was juicy and had the perfect flavours. It was on a spicier side.
Their service is quick. Ambience is basic.
During Ranjan fest, this place was crowded with people to grab their kebab n starters. I had tawa chicken, sukke phaal which was too good. Mutton Keema paratha where egg portion was more.
Visit this place if your a true biryani lover !!
Love their mutton biryani and tandoori chicken with wheat paratha.. my staple go to order.
I personally prefer taking away food from here but the dine in is also fairly decent.
One should also try their mutton sheek’s .
All in all, a value for money experience.
It was leisure Sunday when we decided to visit friends in mm road.after spending some time with them,we decided to head out for lunch. My love for birayani has always taken me places but that has never stopped me from trying out a birayani especially if it is supposed to be that good!

Chichaba’s Taj was a good experiment. Nice ambience and very warm staff. Very professional. Ordered the mutton biryani. A good portion with 2 huge chunks of tender meat. The taste is very close to a home made biryani you get in Bangalore.
Authentic Bangalore food loved it, Ambiance is quite pleasant but the taste was Amazing loved the mutton sheek kabab. Must visit place for tourists who comes to Bangalore.
Last Sunday wanted to take my family and friends out for lunch. So I had booked the table in advance and blocked the tables. As it’s Sunday it will become more rush. Also I had made sure I had ordered in advance the food also. When we went there the food was not just #yummy but very #rich also.
This is a place which shouldn’t be missed if #Biryani is in mind...
I love it when there’s no hint of spice visibly or orally yet the biryani tastes great! ..all my life in Bangalore and this is my first biryani at Taj. What a bad-bangalorean i’ve been!
The best Authentic Bangalore Muslim Cusine Restaurant in Bengaluru, the best of the bestest Biryani, Mutton SHEEKH, Paya Soup, Nalli Nihari, Chicken KABAB, Grill Chicken, Barra Chops, Mutton Chops, Brain Fry are the must try dishes here
5 Stars from me
Been there once. Ordered Sheek kabab and Chicken biryani. Both tasted good, but nothing differentiating factor from other restaurants. Service was good.
Food is good and delicious...price is also reliable... especially the barbeque is excellent..the dining space is good and it's a good family restaurant.however, the servicing needs to be faster.
Going back to my old school days in bengaluru 1996-1997 when my mother used to take me and my sibling out during sunday’s if we hear we are going out today what comes to my mind was Taj or Nagarjuna after visiting St Mary’s church In Shivaji Nagar most of the times Taj,be it mutton biryani or chicken biryani it never disappointed those days biryani was huge thing for middle class and nobody matched the competition,in taj biryani used to melt in mouth be it ghee rice, chicken kebab, mutton sheesh. few days back ordered mutton biryani at mm road through uber and was delivered to home the taste remained the same which i relished 20yrs back.
Legacy will continue people who have been visiting this place from long can relate.
What a lovely place to have yummy biryani. The ambiance is nice. Their biryani is authentic. Have tried mutton and chicken biryani. Definitely a must try. Their salan adds more flavor to the biryani. Just yum
One of my friends suggested this place, this restaurant is all the way on the other side of the city for me. I traveled til there because few friends were coming from that part of the town.
Had the tandoori platter, mutton biryani and kheer. The taste was epic. Huge quantities, fresh and tender meat. On the whole brilliant experience. I'd definitely recommend this place.
I am fond of this place. They make yummy mutton biryani and matka feerni.
And it is best place to get a ghar ka biryani feel.
Do try it.

Go for mutton if you want delectable dishes here. The chicken dishes were very mediocre. Try everything that is grilled( only mutton). Would not suggest for vegetarians.
i came across chichabas only thru zomato. just felt like trying lookin at the name. n to my astonishment it was one of the best biryanis i ever had. the meat is so juicy n succulent. i love their murg kabab. ordered many a times frm here n none of the time did they disappoint us. some times this biryani has become an early morn breakfast too n has not disturbed our stomach. its so very good n safe. wud love to order more n more n try all thr varieties. thr baingan ki salaan n kheer is awesome too.....
Awesome mutton seekh kebab
If biryani is your bae. Head over to Chichabas in fazer town for one the best Muslim style biryani. The gosh aka mutton pieces are tender and juicy.
Craving for some good biryani? Then come to Chichabas Taj. The biryani here is amazing. Sheekh also is really good! Overall, some really good food.

Good place for tandoor items... boneless kebab is worth a try... other items r mediocre.. Haven't been to the place since got the food home delivered, so cannot comment on the ambience.. pricing is a little on higher side for the quantity...
It’s a budgetary restro which offers old traditional Muslim cuisine
I love their kheer which they offer you at the end of your meal
humble and friendly staff
Amazing biryani and cutlets here. The restaurant is pocket friendly and has variety of starters both veg and non veg.. There are two branches one in frazertown and other in Kammanahalli.. Both are equally good..!!!!
We have ordered and charged for butter nan but got plain nan apart from that food was tasty and good quality
Loved their Biryani. It was typical Ambur style biryani . Visited their restaurant during Ramzan month ,their Haleem is just the way I wanted .
Phirni and chicken leg roast was too good too .
Ramadan feast was really good and tasty. The grape juice was not that great though, it was very sweet. Kebabs were delicious. Food was a bit cold. Overall it was good experience :)
If you want to taste kebabs then your fingertips are at the right place I would give it a spot amongst top five in Bengaluru for Kebabs just be patient as real authenticity and delicacy in any kebab be it of Indian,Arabian,Lebanese,Iranian,Afghani origin comes with right amount of mixture of skill and ingredients, enjoy.
This is one of the midnight eating options in Bangalore. Their specialities are Muslim non-veg food but they have some veg North Indian options as well.
I went in at 11 pm on a weekday night. Restaurant had good vibes, with some families having dinner as well. Ordered mutton Kali mirch and roomani roti. Both the food items were good. Mutton was flavourful and well cooked and Roomali Roti was fresh. They have a complimentary moong dal which however was tasteless.
Service was quick and polite. Their last order is 12 o clock, so overall a good option for late night food cravings.
Located in Bangalore, Chichabas Taj is a gem for those craving authentic flavors. The ambiance here echoes warmth, and the food is an absolute delight. The menu offers a diverse range of dishes, each bursting with traditional taste and freshness. The courteous staff adds to the experience, providing attentive service that complements the delicious food. I particularly enjoyed [mention specific dishes or highlights of your visit. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Chichabas Taj is a must-visit spot for anyone seeking an exceptional culinary journey through Indian cuisine. Highly recommended!
The dining experience at Chichabas Taj hotel was exceptional! The variety, quality, and flavors of the dishes served were delightful. From the presentation to the taste, each meal was a culinary delight worth savoring. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food was consistently excellent, showcasing a diverse range of flavors and dishes. The attention to detail and the freshness of the ingredients truly elevated the dining experience.
It's nice place to have food in Ramzan. It's very rushed at that time and also they served good quality food compared to other restaurants nearby . Must try food items here are Patar ka gosh, sheekh kababs mutton and chicken ,mutton parota and they serve haleem too. The price is usually high in this area . But we have to wait very long in that season in peak times it will be from evening to midnight.
Food was good . This claims to be the only place serving pathar chicken in entire Bangalore. It was good, though personally I felt like that wow factor was Missing. Not sure if it was because of the high demand that they had to cater to. The crowd was real huge.
.We couldn't back a table even after reservation. It's recommended to take away.
Parking is also a concern.
Chichabas Taj is a great place for meat lovers! They have tasty kebabs and delicious biryani that make your taste buds happy. The different spices they use make the food really flavorful. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and helpful, making your meal even better. If you enjoy non-vegetarian food and want a satisfying experience, Chichabas Taj is the place to go. It's not just a meal; it's a yummy adventure!
Food is good but quantity is very less. Biryani had very small pieces of mutton.
I think these things need to be improved.
Amazing mutton biryani at a surprisingly low price. The rice was soft and mildly spiced. The meat was tender but not overcooked, and without the heavy smell typical of mutton. How do they do it?! On Swiggy they say their biryanis are "traditional cooked on firewood". Perhaps that's the secret.
Served with curd raita and spicy brinjal salan. The salan provides a dash of chili if you need it.
They have very little parking space. Even the seating isn't much. I went alone on a motobike, during lunch on a working day, and had no problems with parking or seating. But you may not have the same luck.
The room facilities are complete and the service personnel are of high quality, which is very different from some express business hotel. The breakfast is rich in varieties, the bedding is comfortable, and the overall value of the money is excellent. It is very satisfying experience.
Came here durijg the Ramazan time and the place was buzzing with people. Had a short wait time. Mutton biryani and Sallu butter chicken was excellent and served hot and fresh! A must try place for Frazer town food lovers!
You'll love this place if you like Muslim/Islamic style dishes. Tried their mutton Seekh, Al Fahm, Sallu ki butter chicken, Nalli nihari and butter naan. No complaints on the taste but yeah most of these dishes are drenched with oil, so beware of your cholesterol issues. Overall a good restaurant, with pretty quick service. Also tried the patthar gosht here during Ramzan which I didn't find to be up to the mark.
We went at the time of Ramazan food festival and let me tell you it was a full packed
The place serves superb yummy NONVEG food.
Although they were serving in huge quantities they were able to maintain that taste and hygiene as well.
We tried Keema pav Rs 250 and mutton seekh kabab Rs 150 for 1 seekh both dishes were mouth drooling.
We went there to try haleem and was not lucky enough to get
A very good place for meals with family and friends. They are known since years for their food. Didn't disappoint I would say. The chicken biryani was very nice, it was more of local muslim style biryani. The mutton seekh kabab was delicious and so was the phirni. The place is nice with enough seating space upstairs. Portion sizes are good and pricing is justified for the product. Service is prompt.
Ambiance - 3.5/5
Service - 4/5
Food Quality/ Presentation - 4/5
Taste - 4.5/5
Portion size - 4/5
Value for money - 4/5
Food is good, service and atmosphere very average. It's in Fraser Town. Very limited dishes. The good thing is it is air conditioned. No beef only chicken and mutton.
I liked the biriyani. It's kind of their own style but less spicy and tasty. I had mutton biriyani and there were 3 medium size pieces. The overall portion of biriyani is good. I also had bheja fry but didn't like it as it was coated with black mirchi and was unnecessarily spicy. Mutton chops I ordered but a waste of money. For chops with very less meat and price 540 INR. I am not sure I would visit here again. Sallu ki butter chicken was tasty.
The taste is authentic Bangalore style! Love the quality and taste but you might get abit frustrated about the service during Ramzan which is understandable! Ps: don’t get angry on the waiters if they make you wait as they also might be fasting and the workload is huge on them!
Wahi swaad, Naya andaaz !!!

3. Sallu ki butter chicken
4. Mutton Haleem
5. Pathar chicken
