I and a lot of South Indians that I know usually tend to consider North Indian food to be unhealthy as we haven't tried it at the right eateries. As I took an unexpected route to Raghavendra stores (famous south Indian eatery), we discovered Sai Shakti restaurant and checked out it's reviews online and were pleasantly surprised to see North Indian food associated with words like "healthy", "home-made taste", "inexpensive". Now, we end up here almost every week for dinner:)
This restaurant has apparently has been there for over a decade! It's located in 9th cross near 90E route, Malleshwaram.
Ambiance:
-Gives a school/college canteen like vibe.
-Restaurant can accommodate up to 40 people.
Service:
-Gets very crowded on weekends after 7.30 P.M.
-Takes around 10-15 minutes to get the ordered food.
Food:
-Protein Chapati: Soft, fluffy, non-oily chapatis that get over in no time.-Veg soup: Thick and bland. Stay away from this one!
-Veg Kadai: The best gravy I have had here full of good amount of vegetables. We asked the waiter to make it spicier:)
-Stuffed Capsicum gravy: Capsicums stuffed with potatoes and served in a green gravy. Not bad.
-Tomato Rice: Tasted bland but could complete it as the rice quality served here isn't rubbery at all.
-Pudina/mint rice: This too was a little bland for my taste buds, not bad.
-Salt lassi and rose lassi: Filling but I didn't like the taste.
-Badam Milkshake: It's watery unlike what I have had at other eateries. Nonetheless I liked it as it had almond pieces in it.
I loved the cucumber-onion salad topped with green chutney provided as a side dish with Chapatis.
Must try: Protein Chapati, Veg Kadai
Conclusion:
-Best eatery in Malleshwaram to have healthy North Indian food.
-No food item that I had here costed more than Rs.100. Thus, pocket-friendly.
-Stick to the food items they're known for/pro at.

Good place for a casual, pocket friendly lunch.
Homemade taste of food feels great.
Do not expect much on ambience and great service..
Nice place to have lunch on a casual Monday.
Don't expect great service but the food was indeed very good.
On time visit is all I recommend
Homely Food which healthy n tasty
A very budget friendly and a homely place. Must have the aloo tamatar, Sai Shakti special and the Veg kadai as the sides. Protein chapatis are really soft. The baby corn Manchurian is moderate. The lassis are a must try thought they are expensive
You will get very good and tasty vegetarian north Indian food at this place. You will definitely want to revisit this place again. Place is well maintained😀
Very budget friendly. A place to go to if you want to eat home food but lazy to cook. We tried phulka , dal , tomato rice and badam milk shake. The taste was very good. Waiter was also very friendly A decent place with minimal or no decorations.
Best North Indian place around Malleswaram. they serve good quality food with very reasonable price.every dish feels like home made there.a must try place
Sai Shakti is a place that has raw ambience and serves homely food. The place is generally small and demanding due to which one might have to wait for considerable amount of time before getting to taste their food. Their veg paratha is packed with vegetables and minimal flour. When taste takes higher precedence over ambience, Sai Shakti is bang for the buck!
One of the most affordable North Indian restaurant in Bangalore located in the iconic Malleswaram locality.
(Chapati phulkas at 10Rs, Curries starting at 50Rs, Rice items at 50Rs)
Classic nd clean ambiance, quick service are the perks of this restaurant.
I like the food here. It is not overly spiced. Mint rice is a must try here. The place is clean and staff are friendly. Recommended trying their mint rice and lassis.
I've been here for so many times, the food here is so great and hygiene. The quality and quantity of the food cannot be compared to any 5 star Hotels in Bangalore.
They don't add any kind of food colour or soda to the food, you can easily identify by eating there. The crowd is too much that they don't even care of food delivery.
Simple, Homely and tasty food. Have tried thier gobi which is crispy and tasted very good with less oil.
And phulka was soft and went really well with home made kind of Shahi Paneer.
Sweet lassi was just perfect with little sour n sweet.
Service was good, cleanliness was good too. And definitely worth the price paid.
It is one of the best restaurant that serves tasty foods with reasonable rates. A nice place to have North Indian lunch or dinner. Really a awesome place.
Sai Shakti is simple, homely and tasty vegetarian restaurant since 17 years @ Malleshwaram.
All type of North Indian food yo'll get,I loved the small plate salad that they served with pulkas and chapati along curry.Your pocket friendly restaurant.
Ambiance: 3.5/5Service and staff: 3/5Taste: 4/5
this is a nice place for people looking to fill their stomach and have a hearty meal which is also light on the pocket...
this place is crowded most of the times...
many families and also working people come here to eat on a daily basis...
the protein chappatis and phulka comined with a nice paneer sabji like shahi paneer is really good...the starters like gobi manchurian is also good...it is very budget friendly place and you will have quite a nice time here...
Simple, light, homely and tasty food. Have eaten here several times; never disappointed! Mix of pudina and onion they give with chapatis is quite unique.
If u really want to have filling lunch or dinner this is the perfect place they serve u chapaties and varities of graves and most important thing the pricing is very very down to the earth really any one can afford with the capacity of around 50 seating located in 8th cross malleshwaram

Nice place for good food and really affordable prices. Made for a quick bite and homely tasting. Definitely I would walk in again if I'm happen to be near by.
It is said to serve authentic north Indian dishes, so one evening me and my friends decided to go there and taste the food.
We ordered gobi manchuri, vegetable stuffed parata, methi parata, tomato soup and paneer fried rice. Manchuri and paratas were really good. But the soup was served late and it was sour. The paneer in the fried rice was not at all fried and it tasted very bad!
Ambience 3.5/5

Taste 3/5
Simple vegetarian food which is very tasty. Have been here many times and take out service has been great.
Would recommend this place to anyone.
No body even care to take order , it feels annoyed
. The server also neglect the customer and treat people like their servent, my experience was very bad in this place
Many of my friends referred me to this place and I wanted to go and explore.. and then it was lunch time and I was at Malleswaram.. hence decided to go.. the video place very is small and is pretty crowded.. as it gets closer to 2 it gets more and more crowd. That itself shows the popularity of this place with the office crowd from in around malleshwarm.
Not much to expect about ambience. It is almost like a mess specialized in North Indian food alone.
I ordered starter as baby corn Manchurian, phulkas, brijal curry..all were tasting good like a home made food..thats not too much of masala or oil..everything just right.
Plates are plastic and the food is served quite fast and fresh.
Lassi was really good.
Good place to go for a really quick and fresh food.
If you are looking for simple, clean and healthy vegetarian fare then this will at the top on you list. Nestled in a residential area you might miss it, but word of mouth shall help you get to their yummy food. Having grown up in the beautiful neighborhood of Malleswaram I cannot count how many times have we ended up here with friends or family dinners and lunches. I love their protein chapatis; served with a unique green chutney with freshly chopped onions, Methi malai mutter, veg kolhapuri, paneer delicacies, Pudina rice and lassi!
You definitely have to visit this place if you non greasy healthy vegetarian food:)

I have been here for a few times. Protein chapati, matar paneer, bindi fry, babycorn Manchurian, gobi Manchurian are some of the dishes I have tasted. Chapati and the sides are good, while the Chinese items are above average. They also serve a mix of onion and mint which is amazing. Among the. rice items, I had tomato rice which was bland at the best. Wish they could improve the taste of it. Finally dessert time! Custard is good and it tastes best during afternoon as it is freshly prepared then. Don't miss out on Punjabi lassi, for it's very delicious!
This is a good place for vegetarian food. I have been coming here a lot of times when I was simple vegetarian food. The place is extremely picked friendly.
Must tries are the roti's in this piece especially the protein roti. Also the Dal and the jerra rice is really nice.
The food here has less masala. Thumbs up from my side.
Lovely place serving wonderful simple food. Pulkas are amazing. I love the small plate salad that they serve with the pulkas and other rotis. Pudina rice is my all time favorite. And best price too. Please go there and try their wonderful dishes :)
This place never fails to impress me. I have been a regular customer to this restaurant and have tried almost everything on the menu. The starters are the yummiest. Cheap price, best service and uber quality food, what more can a veggie tummy crave for?
P.S: Do not miss out on the Protein Parota and the extra soft Protein Chapati with Dal Fry at this place.
Keep Rocking! :)
Few days ago we had been to Sai Shakti for lunch. For starters, we ordered Paneer Chili and Baby Corn Manchurian, Watermelon and Mousambi juice as well. Then we took protein chapathi with brinjal masala. Brinjal masala tasted good and then we finally ordered Pudina and Tomato rice. In Pudina rice cloves was little more. Overall it was nice.

I was a little surprised to see how underrated this place is ! The food is delicious and the pudina rice is a must have, feels home made. The biggest perk is the price, they are extremely pocket friendly ! I go here atleast twice a month.

Food was not served soon, gobi was not cooked properly and tomato sauce were not good. The way plates were washed didn't look hygienic. Needs improvement in quality of food and service
One of the more sinpler restaurants to find authentic north indian food. The food is mildly spiced and flavoursome. The pudina rice is literally to die for.
Wanna have healthy, light meal?? Choose this place!! Yummy, soft, hot chapathis served at your table with some homemade style bhindi masala or many other gravies to choose from and you'll feel at home!! Super pocket friendly, have to wait for a while to get a (sharing) table but worth every penny!!
One of the best budget restaurant for veg food. Their protein chapatis are simply the best! Goes well with any gravy that you order. Been here several times over the last three years! Highly recommended!
Decent place with some really filling food at affordable prices. If on a budget, this place is perfect for a quick lunch that is quite heavy..
Authentic home made food like taste.. economy nd value for money .. people of all ages visit this place ... usually one will find it like uttara Karnataka cuisine but it's more of north Indian stuff .. protein chapati is a must .. all the curries are good and when you look at menu you will find it as homely as possible because what ever we cook at home will be on the menu .. if you do not like spicy it's best to inform the staff in advance..
Super yummy fantabulus food................................................!.....................................................!.............
I come here often with family. I find this place homely. The food is tasty, the staff are friendly. We never get bored eating here.
It is a budget friendly place, crowded during lunch time, though it's crowded we never had problems with the service.
For starters we have aloo chilly. After that we have chappaties or protine chappaties or pulka and after that we order a jeera rice or some other rice items. In the end we have rose milk or lassi. The ambience is simple. I have been here a lot of times, and never once had any complaints about food or service or the staff.
This is one vegetarian restaurant I would like to recommend anyone. The place was packed on a Saturday afternoon. The staff managed to get us seats in a short time.
Chapatti's were served hot. Tried masala papad, Mix vegetable curry, malai kofta, dal tadka, pudina rice & salt lassi. All were very well prepared and very tasty too.
The owner takes personal interest in every customer and is available on the floor. Noticed he genuinely wants every customer to be content.
The staff and cashier should be a bit attentive in ushering the customers in a timely manner.
The hand wash & washroom is located in one corner with a door. I didn't find anything to complain as such about the wash area.
Don't get bogged down by the waiting time. Your wait is WORTH it!!
The best north indian - non tacky non flashy restaurant i have ever been to in bangalore, with the simple homely food and super fast service, the best value for money and most certainly a healthy tummy! Truly Bangalorthindian!
A great place to have healthy, home-cooked simple North Indian food. Ambience is very basic, and the place gets crowded during peak hours. Do not expect a laid back eating experience. Come here to have some great, light eats and move out to vacate your take to those who are waiting.
Try the Protein chapatis, kaju masala and aloo chilly!
Was hungry and saw this place so just went in... The place was almost packed around 12. I was with someone who was a paronth freak so i had no other choice but to order a stuffed parontha.
After a few 10 minutes or so the paronthas were served and to my surprise they not just looked yummy but were really tempting and tasty. Almost like home made stuff, and to go with it, chopped onions dipped in mint chutney and curd to add to the taste.
The combination of stuffed paronthas with curd and chutney soaked onions was really superb. I also ordered a rose milk shake with it and it was really nice.
As i said the place was packed with people so i reacon that all the stuff they serve must be delicious.
A must try in my opinion
Taste:7/10, Ambience:6/10, Service:7/10. Value for Money:8/10
A good and economical place for veg north indian cusine.
This place has been around for a while but the quality, service both have depleted quite a bit.
The crowd is not well managed and ambience is just ok.
If I had rated this place 7 or 8 years ago, it would have scored a 4.5 but things have changed now.
I am visiting this place from quite a few years and the taste hasnt changed at all. A decent ambiance and homely north Indian food. Must try Protein Chapati, Bhendi fry, Punjabi Lassi, Custard.
Food: 4/5

Simple, authentic North Indian and pocket friendly.
This place has existed for years and the only reason they are still here is because of the quality of North Indian food they serve here. I have eaten at this place multiple times over the years and they never disappoint me. Their signature onion and cucumber salad with green chutney is a great side to the rotis.
Prices- 4 (Variety of foods to choose from and pocket friendly)
Ambience- 2
Taste- 3.5 (Authentic North Indian food which is comparable to home food)
Cleanliness- 1.5 (One thing they have to improve is the hygiene and cleanliness of the restaurant. I took a peek at the kitchen and it wasn't a good sight)
My overall experience was great and I enjoy my meals every time I go there. I recommend it for budget eat-outs and people looking for homely North Indian food.

Simple, delicious, Rate friendly and famous..
I remember visiting sai shakti hotel from past 8+ years which is located in 8th cross malleshwaram.
This is a right place for bachelors and for their homely food.
I have visited this place many times and always ordered for protein chappati, malai kofta, staffed capcicum, dal rice and my favourite custard.
They serve food hot, smooth, fast and tasty.
Along with food they serve onion, cucumber salad which is the actual hero.
It adds taste to your food along with chappati.
My all time favourite is custard (Dessert).
Ambiance : 2.5 - Its a simple place, just like your school canteen.
Rate - 3.5 Affordable, friendly

Hey during peak hours it will be crowded and very difficult to get seats and have to wait.
Plan your dine accordingly.
Enjoy your foood..
I visited this place on a Thursday noon for lunch with friends. We have heard this about this place and wanted to try once. But now, I can say I'll be visiting it again too.
Being a North Indian food lover, I can say this place provides good food and at very affordable prices, in Bangalore.
Among the vegetables, I really liked Stuffed Capsicum and Bheendi Fry.
They have protien phulkas (made up of soya flour I guess), which are really tasty.
And, do have a Rose Lassi at the end.
Home made North Indian food at dead cheap price . This place is vegetarian and small . The food is yummy . And best part of the food here is that , it is light and doesn get heavy on you . Total satisfaction guaranteed !!!
This place is amongst the old restaurants in malleswaram.. I have been to this place many times now. They have a very limited menu. I would recommend to ask for there protien chapathi's ( the softer chapathi's) , dal, pudina pulav, navarathna kurma, they have pretty nice lassi too., with every order u get a small portion of there salad which tastes amazing. The place is clean, service is quick , pocket friendly, the only hitch is its always crowded and there is waiting. One of the best places in and around malleswaram for north indian food.
There are times when you'd like to eat out, but you don't feel like ordering a potbelly, love handles, or a double chin. When you just want something light but flavoursome. That's when you need to go to Sai Shakti. The food is appetizing and never swimming in oil. Like "mum's cooking," as they say. Unless your mum is Punjabi, and uses butter to represent love. In which case, you should probably dine here more often.
The Chana Masala is always excellent, as is the Rajma. The Palak Vegetable and Kadai Vegetable are both decent - they're actually loaded with vegetables, unlike most other joints of this sort where there's only a cube of carrot or a sliver of green bean as forensic evidence in a bowl of gravy.
The service is quick and the staff is friendly. In fact, at this price, the only reason why I rate the place 4 instead of 5, is because the recent rennovation worsened the ambience with terrible colours, and because the owner is sometimes a bit of a grouch.
Sai Shakti is the place to go to when you're lazy to cook and don't want to pop antacids the next morning. It's reasonably light and tasty. Service is brisk and the food is more than acceptable, if not sensational. My staples here include the mushroom manchurian, phulkas, dal, rajma, jeera rice, and paneer bhurjee. You can also end your meal with fresh fruit juices and milkshakes. The other cool thing is the salad they serve on the side - a blend of cut cucumber and onions with coriander chutney. The combination just works! The other important things are, of course, pocket friendly prices and low-oil-low-fat cooking. It's a hidden gem in the Malleswaram are.
We ordered roti, paneer batter masala ,and roasted papad , chilly babycorn . Food was really good .Nice food and service at reasonable price.
Taste 4.5/5
Ambience 3.5/5
Service 3.5/5
Value For Money 5/5
Overall 16.5/20
Verdict- Amazing home style vegetarian food(Low on oil & masalas) which is easy on the stomach & the Wallet too..
The taste & quality of food remains to be same for over 20 years now.
The ambience & service is average and nothing over the top.
Don't miss the Kaju Masala, Mushroom Masala, Channa Masala & Rajama Masala with their "Protein" Rotis.
Very nice, tasty, homely North Indian food. The restaurant is small and if you land there at peak hours, you have to wait for at least 20 minutes before you can sit down and order. They kinda make up for it with a quick service. Overall, another good place for vegetarians.
This place is a little bit hard to locate if you only know margosa & sampige roads in malleswaram. :-) But the vegetarian board stands strikingly different. Decided to check out for dinner. On the menu, there is 'protein' chapati. Dunno what the protein is, but the chapatis are soft & hot. 4 chapatis & one vegetable palak is what I had. Was a wholesome meal. Felt healthy eating
food worth for every rupee u spend and taste is also too good, but have to wait for table if you are visiting around 7 in the evening. Punjabi lassi after your lunch/dinner is must, its just yummy

Good vegetarian without any soda , it is a small place , but crowded , guys who love vegetarian should try once , the food is reasonable, for lunch vegetarian, this is the best place in malleshwaram
"Small place , Economy stuff, Good Food " that's how we can describe this place in a few words .. well we need to first praise the kind of courteous behaviour which the owner has (ours was a big order and the way the owner dealt u really need to praise the way he dealt the situation ) , now the food . Panner parantha at 40 and chapati at 08 , Then there is protein parantha / chapati @ 10... Cost effective and very tasty. . The curries was good especially the veg kolhapuri ( a def try for the rotis) .. when it comes to rice .. once you should definitely try the panner fried rice. .nd the price we paid for 8 ppl a mere 800 rs for a 3 course meal ... so my experience it was wow .. coming back here again... Naveen Mohan
A tiny restaraunt located near margosa road.Sai sakthi offers chinese as well as north indian cuisine .Its always crowded on weekends as its famous for takeaways also. The ambience is ok.The food is really good and the portions reasonable.Do not expect dhabha type parathas but the quality is really good and prices very reasonable. The staff are very courteous and friendly.
A must visit place for people who love simple, healthy and tasty veg food. I have visited this place more than 20 times and have never been disappointed. Ambience is average but food is awesome.
Personal preferences:
Protein chapati, Tomato fry, Bhendi masala and pudina rice.
The salad that they serve (if I may say so) onion, cucumber with pudina chutney is awesome 🙆
Sweet lassi also a must try :)
People who stay in Malleswaram and haven't visited this place; its a must. My rating is 5 on 5 considering the food served. However seating arrangement, ambience hygiene can be improved....
A craving for some homemade, tasty healthy food? This is the place to be. My parents have been coming here for the past 15 years.
1)Ambience- Located very close to the malleshwaram association, it's a simple place with around 15 tables. Some nights are crowded and a wait for about 10 minutes is normal.
2) Menu- starters aren't something u should be looking out for here. I suggest u start with their chapattis and phulkas. Aloo tomato gravy and their rajma are the best. Apart from which the kadai veg also tastes good. Don't forget to order a sweet lassi with this,a great combination. They also make some absolutely amazing jeera rice, served with a small cup of yellow dal.
3)Price - Extremely light on the pocket
For the last 20-30 visits I remember , I have never gone home disappointed. Please give it a try.
My brother introduced me to this brilliant veg restaurant with numerous options to choose.i visit this place frequently .It's healthy and tasty and pocket friendly.

Go in if you want to have home made kinda tasty food at a little lesser cost... Try out Alu Chilly for the starter, Fried rice and Dal Fry with Paranthas. You might feel the need to order more of those, just like how we felt... End it off with Lassi or Milkshake... Don't order MangoShake cz there is no flavor of mangoes. Other than that anything else would be good to try. The place is clean and the owner, waiters are friendly.
Amazing Vegetarian only North Indian food ( though a little South Indian touch ) at decent price in North Bangalore......
Variety of curries from seasonal veg to paneer and good variations in the rice too.
Pudina rice may be a good, refreshing and light choice. The Tomato juice is icing on the cake.....
Food was very good feels like home made less oily. Food was very tasty. Methi paratha was great. If you go at right time can get a place otherwise u have to wait until table is empty.
I visited this place last night and after waiting for a while for a table for 9, I was already too hungry. We had a few different Manchurians and they were good and spicy. The Alu Manchurian could've been fried more in my opinion. This place offers Phulkas, which is like a huge thing here in Bangalore because most restaurants don't. Coming to the Gravy's, I felt they're too sweet.
If you're a fan of a cuisine that's more towards the sweeter side, this place will not disappoint you.
All I'll say is this place is good but it's definitely not the best. I've had better in other restaurants with the same Authentic North Indian food and similar prices.
Protein chapathi with curries are great !! Rice items are also very good and served with raitha . I'm not impressed with the Manchurians . It was OK . But still a good restaurant for north Indian food
North Indian food with a homely taste .. Sums it all .. Malai veg Kofta is the dish to try for .. So are the bhindi fry and sweet lassi .. Chapatis are good .. Rice options are descent .. The only problem is that not all dishes are prepared daily .. It may force you to choose an alternative .. Overall .. Not pricey .. Worth giving it a try ..
Located at Malleshwaram 8th cross, opposite to Safal Super Market. Provides decent food for the money you give. Small place but, run by a good bunch of staffs, very friendly and calm. Ambiance is pretty good. Soups are a bit low on flavor. Must try Baby corn Manchurian, Panner butter masala with protein Chapati.
pure veg and a simple place to dine. lesser known to people outside Malleshwaram. must try's are the protein chapatis and the paneer burji. good food
My friend introduced me this place. This is typical decade old hotel but with really awesome taste. Highlight is protein chapatis. There are lot of sides which are really nice, they are cooked like restaurant but tastes home. Mild spicy, less oil and healthy. Price is reasonable and surely a good place for food if you like to have a simple veg food.
Pure, hygienic and tasty. Lassi and gobi chilli are too good. You will find best chapati's in town along with green peas masala and veg biryani.
Gaurav Sai and Amit Kulkarni ask me for a good place to have lunch which is nearby.. So first thing that came to my mind is this hotel.. Enough of the history why we came here.. It's buzzing with people.. And the waiter takes the order and within no time we have all the orders.. I've been to this many times and still love the food.. Protein chapatti and lassi is a must try.. good home made like food.. A must try every guy in Malleswaram..
This was my second visit to Sai Shakti and I was able to sample a lot more of their menu. Simplicity is the name of the game, with tasty food which is light on the stomach.
Ambience is nothing great, but will suffice for most people. Seating is limited and be prepared to face long queues on the weekends.
Coming to the food, we ordered bhindi chilli, paneer bhurji, aloo Mutter, protein chapati, dal tadka and aloo paratha. The portion sizes are not very large and the prices are very affordable. The food tastes homley and quality of the food was top notch. Service is good and the cheap prices coupled with small portions enable one to order a wide variety of dishes.
All in all Sai Shakti is a great place to grab a quick lunch which is tasty, relatively healthy and easy on the stomach, without burning a hole in your pocket.
If u are a roti or chapati lover - this is theee place for it in malleshwaram . u get a feel of home cooked food , the hot chapatis / rotis with the typical onion cucumber salad fizzled with mint-chilly chutney U will love it for sure.

A very good place for food.taste of the food is really good and homely.u get good food at a nominal price.
There are a few places which are always close to your heart, which are your "go-to" places for rainy-day, low-day, not-feeling-well-but-I-still-want-to-eat-out day. Well, this is one such place. I have been going here for years now. The food always clean & simple. No food colors, no oil floating gravies. Simple food to fill your stomach & make you feel better instantly. Always a must place after shopping at Malleswaram 8th cross.
The phulkas are a must try & so is the Rajma. These are my favorites.
This is a pure vegetarian destination with the availability of healthy food. Please try 'Protein Chapathi' which is very tasteful and healthy too. Most of them drop in here to get the parcel and I always dial in to get my food parceled and have it ready for take away. Also try their custard. They provide you the masala onion on every serving which will be awesome.
When you don't have anything for dinner and you want something that fits your budget and yet tasty, you can go here. The aloo paratha and sai shakti special (gravy) is just too good.
And lassi. Yum.
This small restaurant is located in Malleshwaram and is one of the best in Bangalore to get home food like dishes.I've been here 2-3 times and loved most of the items on their menu.Their pricing is also very good and taste is excellent. The food is served fast with a salad that tastes great too.I've tried many dishes and they are as follows
Vegetable soup-unlike other soups this is a different one and very nourishing.
Bhindi Chilli-Tastes great though i don't like okra
Phulkas-soft and very tasty
Chapatis are also very good. There are protien chapatis also on the menu, must give it a try once.
The breads go well with most of their gravies which taste awesome. The veg kadai was good.
I'd recommend theri pudina rice as it tasted well too.
Try their Rose milk as it's great.Rose lassi was also good.
Aloo chille is very good at this place all the food is very good
I go for:
Chilli bhindi
Protein roti
Methi paratha
Jeera aloo
Punjabi lassi and
Dal rice
Food: Nothing short of awesomeness. They call themselves authentic north indian. Which is not true but it's definitely authentic North Indian adapted to South India.
The protein chapati (multi grain atta) is just amazing. You'll lose count of the number of chapatis you'll eat unless someone is keeping tabs. The side dishes are all competent enough to enhance the taste of the chapati.
The highlight of the meal though were the 2 rice items - Tomato rice and Pudina rice. It's a must have in this restaurant. The curd rice isn't bad either.
Ambience: I'm sure you haven't come to this place for its ambience. For a highly populated place like Malleshwaram, these people have a seating capacity of more than 50. Decently maintained, clean enough to eat without cringing.
Service: Slightly on the slower side but you can attribute it to the sheer amount of orders these guys churn out. Definitely can do better. Order taking was brisk and fast If you know what to order.
Price: A meal consisting of 20 chapati, 7 side dishes, 2 tomato rice, 4 Pudina rice and a curd rice cost just 1100. VFM? You bet.
Overall: an awesome place if you want no nonsense, just tasty food. And of course, your wallet will not lose as much weight as you end up gaining after the meal!
Simple and neat food. Oil & Masala for all the dishes are just right.
Long time fan of this place
Onion with Pudina chutney as a sidy for chapathi is their trade mark combo
One of the oldest restaurants, still thronged by seniors. Food is simple and healthy. Taste and menu maintained for several decades. Cost is very reasonable. The Salad provided with food is a signature dish, very special for this restaurant. Special Lassi and Rose milk available. A must visit for seniors and family for a healthy and tasty meal!
Good Veg Restaurant,
Taste Good,
Had ordered Paneer Chilly,
Pulkha With Rajma & Panner was really Awesome,
Must Try Jeera Rice & Punjabi Lassi 👍
Coat wise reasonable.
I’ve been visiting this place since many years!
Not even bored of it. One of the best affordable restaurants in malleshwara.
Their Chinese starters are the best. Do try their Gobi 65 and Panner Chilly.
And also try out their Tomato rice pudina rice
The price is worth and the quantity they serve will be sufficient for the price paid.
When it comes to Gravy/Curry try Kaju masala and Shahi panner it’s good.
And their Lassi is also amazing
Budget Friendly North Indian food available here. Families can enjoy good food, decent seating arrangement. Could be crowded on holidays and need to wait to get a seat.
Authentic, homely, traditional... North indian dishes, less spicy, less oily... Chapati, pulka, parathas, all types of vegetable subjis, salads, raithas, vegetable biryani, tomato rice, pudina rice, curd rice, dal rice, fresh fruit juices🍹 and 🍍🍎🍓🍇lassie..
The restaurant is primely located on 8th cross malleshwaram between 4th & 5th main, the most happening place in Namma Bengaluru.
One of the best hotel for vegetarians
Good quality food with reasonable price must try
It's a small simple, veg food restaurant, I've been there since I was a kid. Good for North Indian food. Love the fact that they serve chapati , so it feels like homemade yummy food. Must try their peda lassi. They close by 3 pm. and open for dinner again. Not sure about the timing though, so if you're in Malleswaram this is a simple good food option. The staff is good.
A nice place for some healthy and hygiene food. Certainly a very good place for your food with family. Do consider visiting this place. If going for lunch better to be there by 1.30 pm for easy table, else one may have to wait for table.
It's a tiny restaurant nestled on 8th cross, Malleshwaram. On weekends, there is a wait as the restaurant is packed with families out for their favourite food. The prices are value for money, quantity is adequate, food is like home made. One doesn't feel heaviness due to overload of spices in their gravies. Try their protein chapathi. Service is friendly and quick. Don't expect glitz and glamour here, it's a simple functional restaurant with seating capacity of about 40 people at one go. Many people order food as takeaway. A big plus point - your stomach won't feel quesy after eating any of their gravy/masala items here
Need to give oil less food, last time it was good but now they have kept too much oil in food. Need to maintain the food quality
All you can eat with very very reasonable price. Protein chapati here is must try. Quality and quantity is good. Any day any time you will have to wait, but worth it. 4 wheeler parking is limited.
A very budget friendly and a homely place. Must have the aloo tamatar, Sai Shakti special and the Veg kadai as the sides. Protein chapatis are really soft. The baby corn Manchurian is moderate. The lassis are a must try thought they are expensive
100 percent homely food and safe for stomac and for u r wallet we enjoying the food in this resturant since we were kids i am 54 years and legacy of the resturant is more than 54 years
The food was ok but the prices were cheap.. so if you want to have good foor for cheap prices then its for you!
One of the old food outlets in malleshwaram serving North Indian food. Known for chapati, phulka ,North Indian curries and lassi. It is quite light on your pocket. But taste needs to be improved a bit.
Very friendly staff. Salad was awesome. Food was served quickly. Best place to have family lunch.
The place is right at the heart of Malleshwaram!!
We tried Tomato Soup, Gobi Manchurian, Chapathi, Kaju masala, Paneer Butter masala (Altogether 7.5/10)
Rose Milk n Banana Milkshake is must try
Good place for vegetarians with mid range pricing
Need to wait for atleast 10-15 minz in peak time
One of the old faithfuls in Malleshwaram for homely North Indian food . The price list is as of Feb 2022. Absolutely super value for money. Healthy and clean food - specials include the jeera rice , dal fry , bhindi and the lassis . Old world charm - enjoy it while it lasts
