one among the best of naga favourities..i really love it. i have tasted almost every food served in this restaurant and it gives us the taste of inspiration on every food
Loved the food although the portions were a bit less..also the service could have been a bit faster but the staff were very courteous.. would recommend it..
IT WAS TOO GOOD THE WORKER ARE POLITE AND THE OWNERS KNEW HOW TO TALK WITH CUSTOMER ...TGUS IS TGE BEST WAY TO KEEP THE LOCALITY TO MAKE FEEL GOOD ALONG WITH FOOD THEY SERVED WAS AWESOME ,I WILL HOPE EVEN I GET CHNCE TO VISIT THE HOTEL I WILL BE THERE ONLY AND NAGA FOOD OF TRADITIONAL WAS TGE DELICIOUS AMONG THEM
I HOPE ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL VISIT ONCE IF THEY DNT KNEW ABOUT NAGA FOOD TASTE .. THEN YOU CAN TASTE THERE
Hi. I ordered food from Chubalas today. Smoked pork with Akhuni and the Maach chutney. The smoked pork was so good it was was big pieces and I got 4 pieces in my curry. I'm sure the Pork is not from Bangalore coz it's taste was same like hometown pork. Chutney was yummy but a little costly. The chutney serves 4 person I wish there was option to choose for half the quantity. Smoked pork curry was expensive it serves only one person, since its main course kindly add an option for plain rice with the curry.Thank you.
Craving for homely cooked food?? This is the restaurant you look forward to...... the “NAGA” cuisine here is delicious and also the chutny (king chilli) is to die for.. yall should give it a try🤤🤤
This is the first time to visit with my friends at chubalas for dinner,
And we placed the order for two starters and three main course and food is really yummy and service also good too. We like to visit again
Decent place to have some Naga and Goan traditional dishes in Kammanahalli. We had pork, chicken and fish curry dishes which were quite well prepared. The service was good and would love to visit again.
This was our second visit ! We ordered naga pork thali and Goan pork thali today along with Bombay duck rava fry. Both the thalis were extremely good and must visit place for pork lovers and also for those who have never tried north eastern food! Ps : You would be welcomed by pungent smell as you enter the restaurant but should be fine in a minute and yes extremely polite and down to earth people those who serve food there!
Little restaurant with limited seats but not less on the food quality, very good and clean place and the food quality is good. We ordered a northeastern pork thali and a Goan chicken thali, along with dry pork and have to say both we very well done. I was a little surprised on how good the Goan thali was thinking the restaurant is known for northeastern food. Keep it up and will be visiting again soon.
The food is really good, but if they could find a plastic free alternative, for packing, it would be amazing
Came here for dinner, with the help of google map, the place was not so hard to locate. We had their smoked pork thali. The variety of sides was good, however, the taste of the food was just average. Also, tried their smoked pork with bamboo shoot from the main course and this too was not very great but okay. Service was good, they are friendly and attentive. It’s a little bit of a problem if you have to go by car as there is no parking area, but, just stroll along the street for sometime and you’ll eventually get some place if you don’t mind walking back to the restaurant for a bit.
This is an amazing Place with immense potential, Owned by Richard Graham and Chubala (his wife) are friendly and down to earth people. Beef Curry is just awesome. A must try is Naga Thali.
Heaven for North East Indians. Desserts that i love the most: Home Style Bibinca The staff was very courteous and friendly.Food- 5/5
Service-5/5
Ambiance-5/5
This is one of the best places for a traditional northeastern food. Especially for all pork lovers I would like to suggest you should try pork with akhuni. It has been properly cooked and hot serving. Lastly make sure you try the chutney which is complementary with the thali. WOULD LOVE TO TRY ALL THE DISHES!
Had heard about this place from a very good friend so took my mom out for dinner last eve. I must say the food is absolutely delicious. Its as tasty as i can get in a home made food perfect amount of spicy and mouthwatering. The pork thali was much of value and the smoked pork took my heart it was amazing. Will surely come back soon.❤️
I love the food , its great all the time i visit. I would love to have it delivered at home too But the problem is that it does not deliver at my location . It would be great if it could deliver at my home as well. All the time goin in the resturant is not possible for me but miss the food here.
This place serves with good homely style cooked pork dishes. I tried Naga cuisine for the first time and liked it. I had ordered Naga pork thaali and smoked pork with bamboo shoots. The gravy had the typical bamboo shoot flavor. The dishes were quite pleasing to the palate and the proportion of pork in each item was good enough. It's actually a good place to try out for something simple but not so common.
Happy to find a Naga restaurant doing home delivery. Fresh pork with fresh bamboo shoot curry is just the dish any Naga Thali lover could ever ask for. Dry fish chutney and pork chilly are also delicious.
Food is really really excellent. Highly recommend to taste Pork with bamboo shoots starter. We experienced Naga style and they have maintained authenticity. Employees are very polite ( like any other North East Indian guy) and helpful. Highly recommended.
Had ordered a take out from this place. Not seen the restaurant, so won't be able to comment on the ambiance or service.
We ordered:
》 GOAN PORK THALI: loved it.. good combination of some veg dishes, rice, pork dry and a pork curry
》 CHILLI PORK FRIED RICE: a little too spicy but was good. Could have been better
》CARAMEL CUSTARD: delicious
Overall good food for the price we payed. Definitely try out if you like naga or goan cuisine !
Had the pork thali and for starters, the pork fry.The starter was amazing and the pork was so well cooked and succulent. The thali was ok but the overpowering of Naga spices or bamboo, dunno what it was, made me a little apprehensive of having the Thali again.its an acquired taste I guess.Next time will try the other stuff on the menu.Overall, an ok experience.
Have ordered a couple of tones from here. Naga food is good - not great but good. Akhuni was nice. The curry could be more authentic. Second time ordered a lemon fish steak - it said it came with salad and rice. I thought it’d be a continental or atleast a grilled preparation. However what I got was rice and fish curry.
Overall decent place for the days when you want a quick option.
People who r willing to have authentic Northeast or Naga food this is the place for u guys. This was was first time there n m quite mesmerised by it! The ambience was good n they play good music too n the food was just too good, felt like having Home food after so long. I choose to order one Naga Pork thali n my brother choose Goan pork thali n both was delicious. In naga thali u get boiled food more such as pork curry n boiked veggies, tomato chilli chutney, also smoked pork fry whereas in Goan thaali u get fried ladyfingers n pork curry n potk fry too n many more options. Service was good n friendly people👍🏼 A must visit for NE people😊

This is the first time we tried naga cuisine. We were not very sure about the quality of food. It's a small cozy place tucked in a corner. We were tempted to try out the restaurant beside this place as it looked more appealing. But we stuck to our decision and entered chubalas. And it was the right decision. Looked at the menu, craving for some seafood and pork. Ordered fish curry, prawn curry, fish fry and pork fry. And all were really delicious. The seafood was so fresh even though we went on a weekday.
The staff was very courteous and friendly. He even helped us out in ordering few things. Very welcoming place.
The best part is its pocket friendly. No additional taxes or charges. It's really hard to find a place that serves fresh seafood for a reasonable price. A wise decision to visit this place. Will visit again to try something new ;)
I really loved this place. The smoked pork was amazing. Didn’t expect such great taste. The staffs are really friendly. Ambience is pretty cool. Food tasted great.
I had ordered for pork bamboo shoot curry and akhuni chutney. The curry was good however I think it could be made better by adding bit of vegetables and not just the meat (I've had better bamboo shoot curry). The chilli pieces in the chutney were not crushed properly but the taste was okay.
Update: ordered naga thali and chicken curry with steamed rice. Thali was good but the chicken curry was just okay.
Was craving for Naga food for quite sometime and yay found this awesome place on swiggy! We were so happy with the food that we ordered for it on two consecutive weekends. We tried the naga smoked pork thali, goan fish thali, pork vindaloo and smoked pork with bamboo shoot. All of them tasted amazing. The pork was cooked prefect , the spice was so on point and portions were good enough. Just loved it!
Have you ever walked out of a restaurant feeling fully satisfied with what you've ordered and how good it tasted? Well, it just happened to me at Chubalas....tadaaaaaaaaaaaaa ***********
It's a cozy little place filled with quirky stuff as decor that gives it a very homely look and feel. The music playing in the background and the ambiance made me feel like I'm sitting in someone’s home.
I ordered the Naga smoked pork thaali. It came with 3 vegetable dishes, pork curry, pork fry, dal, chilly pickle and steamed rice. I must say it was one of the spiciest thaalis I've ever eaten. The pork in the curry was juicy and succulent and cooked perfectly. It was really hot though. The chilly pickle was yum as were all the vegetable dishes. The pork fry was good too though it had too much fat and less of meat. Dal was just ok. The quantity is quite good and the meal is definitely filling.
And to extinguish this fiery hot meal, I ordered the milk pancakes with coconut filling. It was one of the best desserts I’ve had in such a long time. Reminded me of the banana nutella pancakes at Namaste cafe in Gokarna.
For a modest place, it’s quite expensive I must say. Rs. 230 for Pork thaali + dessert + taxes = Rs 358. But atleast the food is damn good. Definitely going again. Next time maybe for the Goan dishes.
Wow!!! Naga delicacy in Bangalore... Just came to know about the place from Zomato so ordered smoked pork with Akhuni, Smoked Pork with Aloo & Chicken with Bamboo Shoot... Just wow great Naga food really loved it... You won't understand the authenticity unless you been to Nagaland... Just gave 4.5 because felt that Akhuni is bit less however awesome and too much of bamboo shoot in the Chicken however again good to go!!! Will visit this place to try other Naga delicacy and share the reviews again...
Small cozy place for a good Naga cuisine. Service is good, food is fine too. We took Naga Chicken thali and were satisfied, good for spicy food lovers. Chilly pork dry fry is suggested, it was too good!!
This was our teamouting starters were great variety
Loved the ambiance
Loved the starters
Service is super
Main course was good
A ggod place tobe withfamily
Love to visit this place again
I was delirious to find this hole in the wall restaurant in the heart of Kammanahalli..and have been going back ever since! If you happen to love Pork, Chubala's is a joint you must try out.
Sugar, spice and everything nice (what I liked about Chubala's)
* Mouth-watering food
* Delightfully curated menu
* Friendly staff
* Value for money
* Pocket Friendly
* No extra taxes. All dishes are inclusive of them
* Owner seems to be a soccer fan (brownie points!)

I wouldn't know what not to recommend since I haven't ever had a bad experience. However, the Smoked Pork Thali would be a good introduction to the Naga flavours.
Thank you team for the great service!
Good service and good food! Being a north-east Indian, I keep hunting for places that serve homely food and the reviews about the Naga thali here drew me instantly! I was not at all disappointed. Spicy food lovers - this is one place you shouldn't miss. Tried only the Naga Thali, but definitely going back for more.
Just ordered some food from here...it was SUPER TASTY; especially the pork vindaloo..almost like my friend (who's actually a Goan) makes it...
I feel you need to acquire a taste for this kind of food...if you're used to a very South Indian way, you may not like it...Thumbs Up Chubala 👍👍👍
CCR is unique place where north east India meets west of India. Naga food compliment Goan food. Naga Chicken Thali the best thali so far. Good Pork starter option. The desserts gives a perfect ending.
Should visit if you want to experience north east cuisine in Bangalore.
I was hungry this afternoon and wanted to try something different from the usual Indian cuisine, the menu confused me a bit on what I should order and what not to, well on the suggestion of the waiter I ordered the Naga Thali, it was simple, delicious and sumptuous, what more could I ask for when hungry, the pork curry was a bit watery but I guess if that's how it should be it was fine, I'd prefer the rice to be of better quality but for a simple thali it was just about there, the dry pork with onions and capsicum was appetizing I wish there were more pork than veggies in it. Nevertheless as hungry as I was on this particular day I enjoyed the meal.
This afternoon , we had a hearty lunch at Chubalas. On asking the meaning of the name the crew said the 'queen'. They serve authentic Naga cuisine as well as Goan cuisine too. The place is mainly known for the Naga cuisine.
We ordered for a thali which comes with the chutney (now this is really hot, so beware) boiled vegetable, Dal (which have mashed potato), mashed potato with chopped onion, chilly & tomato, other accompaniments as you have ordered &plain steamed rice.
The chutney or the gravies are usually 'very' hot & hence the rice or base is bland.
Once you start having , you cannot speak before ending your meal. Such is the charishma of this cuisine.
The use of bamboo shoots & pork are wide in this type of cuisine. Initially when you enter this kind of cuisine place, there might be an unfamiliar odour, but gradually you will get used to it.
This place can never disappoint you!
If you are fond of bland/boiled yet yummy food this is the place to be. If you are fond of Naga Cuisine this is the right place to visit. The preparation of food here has a homely touch to it and that's what makes it all the more tasty.
The service is super fast, until and unless you order something which is just out of the box. But I can assure you that the wait will be worthwhile.
Staff here are very good, humble and their willingness and the efforts that they put in to make there customers walk out with a smile is phenomenal.
Happiness is visiting Chubalas :)
Pork lovers, This is your paradise. I have heard about this place a lot but never got a chance to eat until last week. I was in Kamaanahalli for my car repair so I did a quick turn on to Chubalas. Very fast service, nice staff members and amazing food. I ordered the smoked chilli pork n bamboo shot pork. Amazing taste and the flavours just burst in your mouth. The bamboo shoot flavour don't overpower the taste of other masalas n the pork which was a huge plus for me. Overall I can say that this place serves the best pork dishes in Bangalore.
(Edited)A lot of billing issues with cash on delivery. Decent food apart from that, multiple items on menu not available on most occasions. They have a decent naga menu(not naga Kitchen comparable, though), I am not a fan of their Goan cuisine. Good pork chilly, great akhuni and decent smoked pork. Not too oily and quite healthy cooking feels almost like home cooked food. Some dishes are really delicious, sometimes it doesn't feel very consistent in terms of the taste but that is rare.
Best place homely food for anyone from north east . Lots of varieties n all are great...Goan style dishes are good for spicy food lovers...

Needed to meet a friend on the same street and decided to drop in here for a quick lunch.
The place is located on the same road as Rahman's and other restaurants but the day I visited there was a decent crowd for lunch.
I am familiar with Goan and some Coastal cuisine but not with Naga food hence decided to try out some different dishes here. Ordered for a Naga style Chicken curry and Rice.
The curry had a good amount of carrots and french beans with tomatoes. There were 4 chicken pieces which is almost double of what is served in other restaurants. The rice and curry combo was just superb and I managed to wipe clean the served meal.
Though really full, I decided to go in for something sweet and landed up ordering for Bibinca. Since they said it would take about 20 mins to be served , I landed up ordering Coconut Filled pancakes which was pretty good.
The restaurant is very unassuming sorts but for those who like to try different cuisines, this is a must visit place.
It is rather disappointing to accompany vegetarian friends to this place :) however, I tried the smoked pork thali, which had both a gravy and a dry pork, accompanied by mashed potatoes and different veggies which was rather very economical and tasty. After finishing the meal we ordered for caramel custard at staff's insistence, which turned out to be an exquisite way to finish a sumptuous meal altogether. Will definitely keep coming for more on the menu as this place looks very promising!! :)
Great food. People are courteous and polite especially when they are talking to customers on the phone. Good delivery. Food is homely and prices are reasonable for the quantity they give. Definitely trying more dishes on their menu.
Just have their food delivered to my place. Very authentic and tasty but I expected little more spicy
It's actually little bland. Quantity is good and packing also. Looking forward to try their goanese dishes also.
I have been eating here since they first started almost 2 years back. It's a little place on Nehru road cramped between a huge Afghani restaurant and some showroom. The decor is minimalistically beautiful. The owners are a couple who are trying to bring their mothers recipes alive. Goan and Naga food. I wouldn't call it fusion food as they have separate parts in the Emmy but the restaurant has themes from both cultures, I suppose. My mother and I fell in love with this place so much for its Prawn Curries, Curry Leaf Chicken, Caramel custard and the tea, we used to go there almost every weekend. Even after we moved out of Bangalore every time we set foot in Bangalore, we would go straight to Chubalas for a meal. I have seen the place expand its menu and modify it's decor to stay in the culinary race that is Kammanahalli. Its very disappointing that the taste has changed too over the years and Goan prawn curry that award winning Goan chef who is the ownerade for us the first time we visited has been reduced to just masala coconut water with prawns. I sincerely hope this place bounces back and they go back to their original recipes and once again be that small place that serves delicious food.

If you want to have Goan food this is the right place. had prawn curry with rice and bombay duck. i loved the place and the ambiance, food as well. spoke with owners of the restaurant. he is so friendly. looks like he is a master chef..:)
Walked in to this restaurant on a Saturday night n was greeted with the warm aroma of pickled bamboo shoots. The decor is nice n cozy n service is prompt. The food served is fresh n very homey. The@ prices are reasonable for the quantity. Loved the bibinca. Do give it a try if u r looking for something different
Peaceful ambience; amazing food
Naga nd Goan cuisine isn't somethin u find in every corner, if ur up to test ur tastebuds- this place s just right.
I personally love pork nd beef which again isn't really common hence Nagaland nd Goan is a perfect marriage to quench my craving 😝😝
I always order the smoked pork thali. I have tried a few other pork and chicken dishes on their menu including the goan food. I prefer the naga cuisine and the naga thali. The quantities are little less but its a decent thali and moderately priced. The ambience is simple. Service is alright and the pork dishes more or less met my expectations I loved the smoky flavours and the pungent scent of bamboo shoot.
Was surfing for some home delivery options on a Sunday afternoon. Really wanted to try something different. So when saw the name Chubala, it intrigued me to look into it. Menu was also interesting so ended up ordering a couple of dishes.
1.Smoked pork with bamboo shoots:
Absolutely bowled out by the smokeyness and texture.very nicely prepared (thanks to the Chef :))
2. Naga pork Thali
Decent options for a take away Thali.there was a potato preparation, I Sabzi, pork curry , salad and couple of other things.Very home style preparation. Favourable but felt the pork was bit over cooked. Not bad though.
3. Raja mirchi chutney.
Very spicy and yummy.
Overall a good experience. Would love to visit the restaurant and explore more.
Cheers guys and thank you
The ambiance is nice and the waiters are friendly. The food was hot, fresh and really yummmmyyy. A must visit for non vegetarian enthusiasts! Just one thing I could love to add is that I wasnt aware of few dish what it could actually serve. A small desc could make it great :)
For people not used to this cuisine be careful in what u choose! I ordered the florentina chicken cafreal, chicken and bamboo shoot soup, curry leaf chicken and the milk pancakes with guava marmalade. The cafreal was extremely good and so was the pancakes. But for someone not used to this cuisine I did not like the curry leaf chicken and the soup. But those are their best 2 items so do try them and maybe it's just me and you could love them!

The place has a very family-feel to it. There were small kids and an elderly grandma inside the restaurant which I assume were from the owner's family.
The food was definitely worth it. You should definitely try the pork noodles over here. Ordered a Naga thaali as well which was also very delicious.
I can safely say that you get authentic North-East food here.
I was searching for naga kitchen close to kalyan nagar and one my friend suggested this place .. So few of us went there to have lunch ..small place with a good ambient , stuffs are also good .. And u can buy beef pickle. Coming to the food , pork and beef is classic ..its not that much spicy like naga kitchen but that's the thing I missed .. Service was kind of sloppy.. At first they took like 15-20 min but lttr it was quick..Quantity of food is little as per the price. Overall will visit again ..
Small but nice place to have Naga and Goan cuisine. Had Naga pork/Fish thali and Goan fish thali here. All good.
Order some trotters soup and some crispy fried pork with chilli and pepper as your starters if you've never tasted naga. ...and any of your favourite main course.damm,, loving this place. In love with NE food lately. Very authentic and polite people.
P.S You'll never think poor about pork anymore.
Beautiful fusion of Nagamese and Goanese cuisiones. The food is homely and tasty. Must try the Naga Thali and the Caramel cake.

Nice and authentic Naga food served here. Whenever I feel like eating Naga cuisine, this has become my first choice. Cozy seating place with sufficient space around.
One of best restaurants for pork thali. Every dish served in the thali was lips smacking. The service, ambience and the decor of the place was very well. Loved their unique coconut and chocolate pancake. Definitely going again.
I loved the pork thali and the smoked pork curry. The ambience is not great very dim and dull. A little over priced but worth the price.
Nice talking food. I liked the pork roast. Crisp and spicy. Quantity not matched with the price.
A must visit place for smoked meat and other delicacies... Good ambience and value for money... It's like a ritual to go the Chubalas twice a year but eat like a hog... Run later to shed those calories...
Taste the "homemade rice beer" . It's special. And the caramel custard... Really good.
What i also like about the menu is that you don't have to think too much... Whatever is offered is good... They don't showcase too much but serve good what they prepare...
The Naga cuisine tastes amazing specially the bamboo shoot and pork dishes. A must try for anyone who wants to explore the cuisine of Nagaland. Use of only fresh Naga herbs and spices. But sometimes the pork pieces are either too large or too small. Smoked pork seems to be a bit chewy. Otherwise do give it a try.
Just went here for lunch..this is our first experience to taste the naga food...
Delicious food they serve. Ambience was totally out of mind. Mild Music was the best part I loved. Very friendly staff
And five star for service.
Wonderful place to taste authentic naga and goa cuisine. Try their smoked pork with bamboo shoots. Not much variety for a vegetarian, go there for Pork and Goan Fish Curry.
The place is small, service can be quicker.
Authentic Naga food, tasty Goan food, they have meals in form of thalis which makes it easy on pocket as well. Good interior, several painting and posters. People who like North eastern food should surely visit this place.
