This is a Vegetarian place that serves some soulful South Indian food, located among other posh places in Koramangala. Tried their Manchurian Idly, a great portion size at a very reasonable price, and absolutely delicious. They have a lot of other things on the menu. I will definitely head back to this place again to try them out.
Had one good dosa after a very long time after ahemdabad.
Neat and quick.
Sambar was bit salty but fine.
Will visit for trying podi idly.

I love their dosas and pongal 😍😍
It's just amazing
I used to know it as a small place. but now they haved moved to a bigger space in the same street. Loved their pongal and crispy idly. A must place to go to try tamilnadu style food.
Good food in overall but some items are more oily. Overall experience is good. Ambience is good too.. best to have here would be tea and kothu parotta
Ordered Idly and Upma last evening and both the items were relishing to taste buds. Quantity was adequate.
Overall a decent budgeted meal with right quality.
Had one Rava dosa and masala dosa from here. Am not such a big fan of the rava dosa but this one was quite good I have to say. The masala dosa was superb. The sambar and chutney that was provided along was also really good. Really nice place for a breakfast
Had been here on a Monday morning.
We had:
* Paper Masala Dosa: It was huge , tasty and tummy filling!
* Chilli Cheese Dosa: It was literally chilli cheese dosa as they had put lots of cut pieces of chilli. But it wasn’t that spicy and tasted really good.
We took Appy Fizz instead of tea coffee due to the hot weather. A very prompt service too. Will definitely come back here to try out other items in the menu!!
For two years I had dinner here almost every day. Never got bored of the food. Great taste, proper south indian flavour like the name says. Goes easy on the pocket as well!
One of my favorite places to order my breakfast. Need to have a little more care about the packing. Else everything is almost perfect. Recommended.
We had 2 plate of Keema Idly.
Honestly I had no idea that there different variety of Idly are there.
So we decided to try out Keema Idly.
Keema Idly consists of small 8-10 pcs.
Little bit of spicy.
White chutney was very spicy.
Overall new dish new experience gathered. 👍👍👍👍
Absolutely love the food at madurai idly store , located in Koramangala. The must tries are the button podi idlys and the podi dosa. They have great deals on delivery as well. Madurai idly shop is also one of the very few places in Bengaluru that serves authentic sambar, and is a delight to have!
Another branch and similar experience. This shows how professional and consistent they are in their work. This is highly appreciated. I ordered Idly, Dosa and Vada. All were of top class. It won't hurt your pockets as the price is nominal. Lastly, chutney and sambhar were an absolute delight.
A small south Indian restaurant with great food at great prices.. Swiggy and zomato delivery boys flock here...A must visit...
P.S : Tea was very sweet so I took away 1 star😂😂...
Their Podi Idly is the best. Also in the evenings you can try out their Kothu Parota & their Panniyaram. The best part is their coconut chutney, which has the authentic taste and so also their sambhar. These two distinguish them from the rest of the crowd. Also now they have redesigned their interiors, which gives it a better look and a more hygienic atmosphere. For a good South Indian breakfast, one of the better places.
good to have south indian food. I personally like Mushroom masala dosa which is favourite for me.
I haven't tried other varieties. But its not crowded like Sri Krishna.
Don't like idlis? Good. Me too. But if you don't try this place out you will never feel the same about idlis ever again. Mini idlis are great. N so is the chutney. A simple yet satisfying place to eat.
Simple south indian food, like the upma and idlis but sometimes i do feel that the service needs to improve...............................................
I name this place as my comfort food place. When I don’t want to experiment and want to have a simple small meal, this is the place I go for.
Love the mini idlis and onion dosa.
Pongal too is nice.
On time service, whether you are having at the shop or ordered for home delivery.
Value for money! Best!!
Literally speaking i tasted the bestest red chutney..not sure what it is called but it was sooo daamnnnn tasty...never tasted like this before anywhere. The sambar dipped idly is mind blowing. You cannot stop with just 1 plate of your order. Definitely you'll end up gulping 2. The ambience is also good the service is also pretty good. Sure visit this once.
I enjoy the food here, it's pocket friendly and value for money. My personal favourites are the pongal and filter coffee. I also recommend the rawa dosa.
Breakfast becomes dinner was what we felt like last evening ordered in from here as i was craving fur some mini podi idli.
It's mini idlis drenched with ghee and gun powder and fried
It was so yummmm
Then ordered the idli sambhar too
Masala dosa was good but the only thing that was not uoto the mark was the onion rava dosa and the chutneys very watery
The sambhar was very good
Good food quick delivery so we had hot hot sambhar and idli ,dosa
Nice different dinner fur a change

Madurai Idli shop serves South Indian and Chinese food. I have been to this place once and liked the South Indian food there. Didn't really like the Chinese.
I ordered Ghee Roast Dosa, Dahi Vada, Gobhi Manchurian and Idly.
Ghee Roast Dosa tasted awesome and sambhar was spicy, which I liked.
Dahi Vada was OK and had the usual taste.
Gobhi Manchurian was not good and I didn't like at all. You can get a better Gobhi Manchurian on the streets.
Idly was good and fresh!
Overall, this is a decent place for South Indian food.
SERVICE and AMBIENCE:
Ambience has nothing much and it's very simple. It's a self-service restaurant so nothing much to say about that as well.
Ordered Idly Upma through Uber eats from here and it was great. The preparation was amazing and the chutney was tangy and spicy ❤️ But the next time, when I ordered Kesari and Khara Bhath it was not that good ! Probably not the best way to prepare it 🤣
But will give it to them for their Idlies and Chutney 🤘🏻
Authentic tamilian sambhar and chutneys. Very fresh and high quality food. Upma and idlis are the best. Tgey also have few speciality kerala dishes such as puttu
Best place to visit if you have some love for idli and dosa
Best taste good service cool atmosphere
Worth visiting this place
I recommend this place to every one
Tried almost every dosa at this place.
A good fast food place that you can visit everyday.
Lunch options & very affordable pricing are added advantage.
Liked rava masala dosa & cheese dosa.
unexpected landing in this place.. to have breakfast.. small place but food was good to have .. with some variety of chutney feels me homely... service too was fast .. feel little more hygine should be maintained...
Amazing comfort food. I was craving for some dosa Idly breakfast after surviving on pancakes and waffle for a few days. Their podi dosa was out of this world and one of the best I have ever tasted - this is coming from a south Indian who loves dosas ! Generous portions and extremely clean packaging as well.
Its one of my fav place to eat my daily bf.
Masala vada and coffee are the best.
Idly so fresh and soft, i just love it.
Pls try sambar vada ... i am not a south Indian but after eating sambar vada here. Now i like vada dip in sambar.
Only negative thing ... no place to sit.
You have to stand eat and move/ walk.
Still its been 8 yrs i go thr and eat.
From the time I settled in Bangalore I have always been on the look out to find a good tamil nadu based restaurant. Especially i was so disappointed with the Karnataka style sambar that I definitely wanted to find a place i can goto on my “missing home style sambar” day. As soon I heard the name Madurai idly shop (Madurai is a place in TN) i wanted to give it a try.
From the day I tried this place there has been no looking back. Whenever i want to eat some light home style food i end up here. I have been here a hundred times and I have tried most of the dishes but I will list down a few below.
My favourites: Idly upma, Podi idly, ghee masala dosa, chilli cheese dosa, kothu porotta and again the coffee here is one notch above any other item on the menu.
Also they have wide range of variety in idly, dosa and parotta. The idles are soft and yummy and dosas are crispy and tasty.
The ambience has also improved with the recent makeover. They serve yummy ice-cream also in the front portion of the store now.
I have one small negative though, i do not like the onion/tomato chutney served with dosa and Idly here but the sambar more than compensates for that (:P).
This place is great if you are looking for a good south indian breakfast. I have been ordering idly vada combo , uttapam, puri aaloo, upma. Very pocket friendly and good in taste.
Very good meals and snacks! Perhaps they are the only south Indian outlet not using any artifical colour or uncontrolled red chilli powder in its dishes. Natural colour and taste with maintained hygeine.

It's great place for general breakfast and dinner. Mini idly is the one i loved most. Pure Tamil Nadu style samabars.
Note : now the same shop is renamed.
My 'got to go' place whenever i wish to have dosa near my office. Its always a perfect one! Prefer self service as its easy and quick! Its clean almost everytime i have been to this place. The best in the menu is the paper plain dosa, big enough to serve and satisfy ur hurgry soul
Been here once for a quick bite when we were in the vicinity of this place. Decent place to have a nice hot delicious dosa. The taste is great and the service that goes with it too. Will be back for more.
Best Vegetarian Food in Kormangala-6th block.
Ambiance might not be great but the food is just plain and simple, home style.
Variety of dosa they have is just amazing.
Must Try-Chili Cheese Dosa, Mushroom Dosa.
Chutneys are great...and they make great coffee.
Must try items are, Idili-vada, podi dosa, poori-masala, uppma, pongal, podi idili, veg meals, tea & coffee. super tasty and affordable price.
I found this place via another delivery app and boy was I surprised, beautifully cooked food with fresh ingredients, try anything of their menu, tasty and full value for your money, I usually go with the dahi vada and some idlis but there have been times when I have gone wacko and ordered for the next day too. This place is on repeat.
This place is situated right b4 the huge concrete building start after the oasis mall...there are few places like this around it..stopped for tea and wished I could go back fir breakfast..imagine how nice it would be to start ur day here!! The mini idlis were delectable sambhar was amazing as was chutni!! There was a sweet orange coloured Madurai special drink nannan I suppose with a small dollop of ice cream...cooled me right off, we did take the gobhi Manchurian..nice n crisp but if u eat here try the specials...and thank urself for it later!!
In southern part of India
One of the best breakfasts "ghee masala dosa" just perfect must have
In south India idli & vada are best
Place location is good
Overall good place !
Keep it up guys
Love their button idlis and idli-vada combos -- especially the red chatni that it comes with.
The other items in the breakfast menu is nothing to write about.
Podi Idly, pongal are the best here. Tastes exactly like how you get to have in Madurai. Just that their coconut chutney and sambar doesnt taste all that great. Otherwise nice place to have a typical south indian breakfast.
Perfect place to have breakfast if you love South Indian delicacy. You must try their crispy idly once and I’m sure you will fall in love with it. They also serve South India and North Indian Thali in afternoon which age just amazing and filling.
Prices are reasonable considering the quality of food. I don’t have much pictures but would love to attach my South Indian Thali for the viewers 😍
Even though I live here I don't always go for Indian food. I liked the dosas and attention was really fast as well. Place looks clean
Wide variety of South Indian dishes. Very hygienic place.

I love their dosas and pongal 😍😍
It's just amazing
Cheap and tasty south Indian food is served here..
Above average tamil restaurant. Morning breakfast combo is really good.
Food is good here. And the quantity justifies the money you pay for a dish. I would recommend idly dosa and South Indian dishes. Other cuisines aren't up to mark. And it's a small place too and ambience is pretty okay nothing too talk about.
If you really want Tamil Nadu style food, please have a food here. Place is not maintained well. Staffs are little rude or language problem. Always crowded and quality is compromised during busy hours. Taste is good when it is fresh.
Nice tasty sambhar, mini idly, podi idly, kesari bath, kuttu paratha etc. I am an old customer of this place but always excited to back and try something new. Among very few restaurants in Bangalore which serve tasty sambhar
Good food, not much expensive , we can say average rate. And when it comes to quantity , last week I was not even able to finish 1 masala dosa though I was hungry from last many hours as I was traveling from Chandigarh to Bangalore. Here I ate my first meal in Bangalore.
Their specialities are idlis while they also serve good dosas. The chutneys are delicious. The place is a bit small with seating only for around 15 people, but there are some tables outside where one can stand and eat. It is a self service place, but the orders are served quickly.
