What a beautiful place ,run by a lovely couple . Best appams north of Kerala , decent parotta , extremely clean environs and recyclable plates. Best chukku kaapi I hav had for a long time . Had some vatta fish curry , chicken stew and chicken gravy .
Hardly any place to sit , except for 2 stools . But who cares and I don't care for decor when the food is beautiful. The rates were very reasonable for Bangalore standards.
This is one of the best place if you want to have some Kerala breakfast . The appam served here is just awesome. Today we tried appam and chicken curry, puttu and chicken curry and then idiappam and coconut milk. It was really yummy. It’s a small outlet, go before 9 am else you won’t get some of the items.
My high rating for this place is for the magic of what one man cook up in a 6x6 foot space tucked under a staircase. Everything from cooking, serving and disposal is thought through beautifully keeping in mind the place & conditions. Super well done and inspiring.
The food itself is simple and authentic. You can easily get better at other proper Kerala restaurants but what you won't get is this improbable experience of a one man show.

This place has the best appam ever. Idiyappam and puttu were good too. The side dish gravies were above average. You must visit this place for the appam alone.
The best place to have Appam and Chicken Stew / Chicken Roast, Kappa and fish curry, Puttu and kadala, Kerala porotta and chicken curry in Bangalore, period!! Been going to this place since 14yrs. It’s like family now and every time my friends and family visits, they want to go there too. The food is very hygienic and taste is consistent. What you see is what you eat and it’s everyday fresh!! I kept asking them why they are not considering an expansion, and they humbly say they cannot be sure of the consistency then and that itself speaks volumes of the mutual faith!!
To all Malayalis missing your Amma's food and people who really wish to taste authentic Kerala food, Appam corner is the right place.
Super tasty Appams, Idiyappom, Chapathi and Porotta along with Kerala spicy Chicken Curry, Chicken stew, Kadala curry and Egg curry.
Came here just planned to have a taste of Appam , but ended up 2 of us eating 14 appam and lots of curry
A wonderful place where you can enjoy lip smacking appam with chicken curry. A great breakfast option. I took my friend here for a quick treat . Perfect service and lovely ambience
This place is a savior for people who love mallu food. The place serves many varieties like puttu, appam, idiayappam, porota. Curries include chicken curry, chicken stew ,fish curry ,egg curry and peas curry. My all time favorite is appam with chicken curry . It's a joy to eat at this joint . I never miss to eat here each time I visit Bangalore.
One of the best and simple breakfast.. It is a tiny outlet, you can stand and eat there or takeaway. It serves appams and idiyappam.. Veg, egg, chicken and fish curry available.. My favourite is appams with chicken curry.. It is too delicious and worth trying!!
A tiny place located off the main road in Kalyan nagar. This place is sooooo good for Kerala food lovers. The person here is so kind to everyone and serves everything hot and fresh. The food here is super tasty and quite cheap that is affordable by everyone. They do serve Appam and idiappam in the morning with coconut milk/veg curry/non veg curry. In the night its Appam/Kerala Parota along with Kadala curry/non veg curry. Do give it a try. Tastes like your home food
Only one issue here is you will have to stand and have your food.(Of course I'm a regular customer here :P)
Surprised to see such a small pace delivering wonderful food. Cheta is very simple person and you can have conversations while enjoying the chicken curry appam combination. A definite recommend for people who love appam and various combinations
If you want to try appam with different curries then this is the best place. No seatings. We need to stand and eat outside. But price worthy for appam and parota. Especially fish gravy is must try here. If you really love fish flavour then try fish gravy with appam. It's simple restaurant and good to eat Kerala cuisine for very cheaper price in and around Kalyan Nagar.
Blink and you miss this awesome place. it came up on a google search and we found this place through maps. A good crowd in the evening assured us that we came to the right place! We had veg appams......must say the best we have ever had. The curry was spice and perfect...
A gem of a place!
Appam love!! 😍 This place provides u with the best appams in kammanahalli. Everything is served hot.
Appams are simply tasty. U can have nonveg or veg curries with d appam..The plus point is u'll get puttu as well as idaiyappam(my personal favourite). This place provides happiness to my little tummy on Sunday mornings
Small place which can be missed out in the busy streets of Kamanahali. A place where can you find authentic Kerala food.Options are less but everything is delicious enough to satisfy your hunger pang. They are open in the morning and in the evening. On Sunday morning you will get Chicken-stew, idiyappam too in breakfast, unlike weekdays. This is a place for takeaway as they don't have the sitting option. Apart from Appam, you will get kerala parotta which you can relish with spicy chicken curry or veg-stew.They also serve egg-curry. Appam-chicken cost you 80 bucks which is value for money.Full Paisa-wasool place. This place is run by an old couple who will surely impress you with their friendly gesture.
Happy that they serve veg also. Authentic kerala food.
Happy it's very near to my place. Love the hot appam and idiyappam here. Thanks to zomato without which, it's hard to find this kind of small hotels even in your area.
If having delicious appam STRAIGHT from the pan is the kind of thing that you dream of, this is the place for you! Make sure you reach early on, as they sell out super fast! One of my regular places for a simple dinner, with sights and sounds of local street life.
If you want to taste the best appams and parota with chukku kaapi rush to this tiny little joint by 7pm or 7.30 latest. Thats it... not going to describe anything much as I leave to others to experience and savour the taste.
Tiny place with no seating area,no ambience,no menu,no waiters,nothing.
But you get to eat adipoli hot hot Appam, very nice Chicken curry, soft Idiyapam, mouth watering Kappa and Fish Curry and few other things!
In a mood to have some nice hot Appam and stew or chicken curry , egg curry ? They also have a lot of other variety . You have to be here early because they run out of stuff too soon . That's coz it's so yummm!
A small lil shop run by Mr Varghese , he serves food in eco friendly plates , taste is awesome and it's value for money !
This place is a perfect example of 'Never judge a book by its cover'. Its literally a hole in the wall with a few chairs by the road. But the chicken curry and appam here are out of the world !! The place is closed on Mondays. Must visit place for all the chicken lovers.
Yummiest place to try out the best Appam and Chicken Gravy. Authentic kerela style food. Been eating here for almost 3 years now and taste is still the best i had anywhere. Appam and kerela parota is so soft and he prepares in front of you.
Try out the Appam with Fish curry/chicken curry.
Crazy place..... apppams with chicken curry is the best thing I have ever tasted... tiny , but the foor is spectacular. It is a must go place.
Tiny hole in the wall place but unbeatable taste and price. Blink and u may miss it and it's only takeaway but it's worth it. Tried the appam and chicken curry..it was excellent. Can't wait to try their porotta and kappa
Heard a lot about this place from the people I know in this area. Also read about this place in a few reviews in newspapers. It's a very small shop close to KFC kammanahalli. It's located in one of the sub crosses on the opposite side of KFC. This place is known for the best Appams and parotas. Seating is not available and it's advisable for a take away. You however find a lot of people having it in their cars(if you find a parking) and on the road side. I tried the chicken curry and parota combination, also ordered for Appams. The food is served in bamboo plates and it was good. This place can also get crowded at times and hence you may have to wait to get your hands on those yummy food.
Update 23mar18 - visited this place on a Friday evening and got access to hot appams and chicken curry in 5 mins after the take away order was delivered. Everything remains the same including the taste.
This place is a gem and like other gem it is hard to locate. There is no board and also it is not situated on the main road and shop size is slightly bigger than a pan shop. But coming to thefod, appam and kadla curry and chicken curry is heaven. Very authentic and finger licking. Definitely must try place for breakfast and dinner. Price is also nominal and food is very fresh..
Tiny place with no seating area,no ambience,no menu,no waiters,nothing.
But you get to eat adipoli hot hot Appam, very nice Chicken curry, soft Idiyapam, mouth watering Kappa and Fish Curry and few other things!
The owner and chef has literally mastered the art of making yummy hot appams with tasty chicken/egg/pulses/fish curry. There are few items on the menu and the service is quick. It's more of a hole in the wall to statisfy one's craving for delicious food. Price is so reasonable that you might end up having two plates. It's closed only on Mondays, and Sundays is for special items. Every morning the shop opens by 8:30am and you can always spot customers waiting. It's not open for lunch. Please do try the parotha in evening (Kerala speciality). Also he is famous for a special herbal tea he makes only in the morning. Note: There are no branches. It's a cash only place and there are takeaway option. No delivery however if you call him in advance he does keep a parcel which you can pick up.
Best place for fresh Kerala food at reasonable price, quick service, taste is good. No place to seat. Better to take a way. Must try dish is Appam.
No place to sit here. Food taste is really nice. No digital payment as far as I know. Only cash. No separate car or bike parking. All instructions are to those who roams here n there to have tasty breakfast. So keep these things in mind and visit.
Best thing is they have digital payments. Appam with fish curry, chicken curry, egg curry. You also get parathas. Masala are very rich. Felt fish was not fresh.
Very tasty food, Must try appam and chicken curry
Get ready to be taken back to God's own Country. Amazing taste. Appam with fish curry was just like home.
Don't expect a restaurant like scene. You'll have to stand or sit in your vehicle. But it's totally worth it.
Must try appam n chicken curry.. for veggies veg stew is better than kadla curry
Nice place for some good Kerala food.
Very reasonable rates as the side dishes are good for the piece range.
Not much place to sit and eat but good for takeaway.
It's run by a single man and he is super fast in preparing the appams.
I love this amazing appam corner, it's famous in area. I have been going to this place since more than 6 years now not a single time the tastes was bad or iam not satisfied. He serves appam, Kerala parota, iddiyappam, chicken curry, fish curry, chicken stew, egg curry & veg curry, tea, coconut milk. Be assured of amazing taste in every dish you take. I feels prices also very less when compared with other places. This corner doesn't have place to sit & eat but have stand somewhere on the road while eating.
Awesome Kerala style food joint for early breakfast and dinner. Freshly prepared Appam (plain hopper) with coconut milk or varieties of curries both veg and non-veg tastes really great.
One of the best joints to have authentic home made malayalee food. Definitely worth the money. The only con is that there are no tables and chairs for you to sit and eat. So either parcel away or bear standing to dig into this amazing food.
Beautiful soft appams ,the best I have had outside Kerala . Enjoyed the vatta fish curry , chicken stew is very nice and a decent chicken curry . The rates are very reasonable around 80 bucks for 3 appams and a non veg dish.
2 stools is all the decor is ,but who cares when the food is beautiful .
Run by a lovely hard working couple
Timings 6-9:30 pm and breakfast including appams on weekends.
Very good place for pocket friendly bite. You have to eat on the road, but overall taste, hygiene and quality of food is very good. I have tried chicken curry and fish curry with appam both were good. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
An excellent place for authentic Kerala food. Appam, Porotta, Kappa(Saturdays and Sundays only), with Chicken Curry, Chicken stew or fish curry. Choose your combination and relish the freshly prepared delicacies
Fantastic food. Limited items but everything is a must try. Authentic. It's in the bylane, no seating arrangements but the food is super worth it. If you looking for typical Kerala appam and parota with sides like fish, chicken and egg curry, this is IT.
Always good.. I have been eating from here since long time. Economical and fresh.. things get over fast and hence better to be an early bird..
Appam and chicken stew are good and so are kappa and fish curry..
