The food was very authentic, tasty and light. The customer service was excellent. I ordered the mezze platter, shawarma and kunafa. All three were very good. Will definitely come here again.
I loved it. Everything is just perfect. I loved the packing of quality n quality of food. Seems good
This is the 2nd restaurant I visited in the pandemic situation, and on obvious comparisons, ‘Bonum Cibum’ stood out to be great. It has happy interiors with most necessarily a safe vibe.
Vijay, who took our order and served us took care of everything effortlessly.
Coming to the food, Mezze by bowl-Hummus was so incredible that we needed extra pita bread ordered. The Cold Mezze Platter is supposedly good too.
Egyptian Shaksuka had these baked eggs with just right amount of tomato compote and bell pepper, I loved this dish a lot.
Classic Margerita had this thin crust with standard yummy mozzarella.
Hot Mezze had a variety of appetizers again- Falafel was crunchy and also tasted nice with hummus, Potato kibbeh’s filling wasn't to my likes as I found it to be a little too plain and tasteless.
Halloumi egg plant was gooey and fun to eat, parcels ~ chicken wrap was meaty and succulent served with the right mayonnaise to accompany it.
Arabic Mixed Grill Special was again combined with meat, chicken kabab that left a slightly off taste, prawns and fish were clear winners. It was served with 2 types of rice that were rather satisfying!
They also have pleasing things in desserts like the chocolate lasagne I had no idea about before this day. Would love to return for more.
Amazing place. I ordered the mezze platter, chicken tepenade and Kunafa for desert. It was a delight and these dishes are a mist try.
Lovely Mediterranean restaurant with Lebanese, Turkish, Arabian food for the soul. Loved the decor but let's jump right into the food.
Baba Ganoush is a MUST have! This lovely eggplant and olive oil based chutney served with pita bread is just out of the world.
The second thing that was absolutely tasty was the Kibbeh (juicy meatballs) served with fresh mayonnaise and tandoori sauce.
We also ordered the infamous Mezze platter (full) which came with sizeable portions of rice and meat items. The best in this was the prawns, fish and meat patties (shami)
The Mezze platter is sufficient for 3 people to eat. So, order wisely.
For drinks we have Mojito + Pina colada mix (which you must ask for, it's an off menu item)
For dessert we had Kunafa and I must say it was the yummiest Kunafa I've ever had! I've tried Kunafa world and it's good but doesn't come close. Would come back here for just this!
Lovely dinner. I got 30% off the total bill through Zomato Pro which was quite a good deal. Would definitely recommend.
One of the best dining experience ever. The staffs are really very polite and friendly. They serve tasty and quality food. Chef Ashish went out of the way to ensure we have an amazing experience. Can’t thank you enough for making my husband’s birthday dinner a memorable one. Much appreciated Ashish! 😊
This was my first time I visit Bonum Cibum... I ordered Arabic mixed grilled and yummy donuts chocolate... And the food was Excellent... I have an amazing Experience... ...
Frst time i visited the restaurant it was very nice
The food is very taste the service also in a polite way ovr all the bonum cibum was a best experience in my life
It's the best Mediterranean restaurant in hsr layout , its my friend's birthday and I had a great experience dining here
Everything was really awesome every dish, special the cocktail sauce they serve with some recipe and the prawns were really yummy. Loved it.
First dining experience post the lockdown and it was quite a pleasant experience at Bonum Cibum.
This place has a really nice and calm feel to it, well lit and nicely decorated interiors greet you as you enter the place. In keeping with the times, a sanitizer is present right at door as soon as you enter the place.
We made ourselves comfortable and ordered a couple of items, chicken skewers and a Pizza.
Both the dishes were extremely tasty and delectable.
The pizza deserves a special mention, it was of a really good size (12 inch) and had a perfect Italian taste to it. Top marks for the food at this place.
The staff were extremely courteous and follow all the guidelines of the COVID protocols.
A small grouse would be that I found this place slightly expensive, some items you feel have been priced way over the top, I would suggest the management to reconsider the pricing of some of their dishes.
But nonetheless, we had a really nice experience and the food was extremely tasty.
The first meal post opening after lockdown.Great experience with Chef Ashish and his team who gave us a truly memorable experience.Ordered the cold mezze platter and delicious red sauce spaghetti pasta. The dips were exceptional and pasta was perfect aldente and came with generous serving of sauce.Had the samosa as well.Sadly,we were stuffed by the end of the meal and decided to have their famous desserts on another day. Also we were the only ones in the beautiful place and here is wishing that they get back to having full tables.Pocket friendly, great food, courteous staff.Kudos team bonum cibum.Thank you for making our first meal outside after 6 months an outstanding experience.
Ordered Al Faham chicken, kebabs and desserts. Chicken was delicious. Desserts were mindblowing especially kunafa.
We visited 3 weeks back.. It was an amazing dining experience with social distancing norms followed for table positioning as well. Staff was very helpful in choosing the right delicacies. The chicken al-fahm,kunafa, baklava and cream of chicken soup was out of the world. Chef Ashish prepared a special grilled chicken, which was a good treat to the taste pallets.
Ordered arabian mix grill platter, mezze platter and biryani. The platter was good but the quantity was poor for a 1200 worth platter. Also Biryani, which was very good btw(not hyderabadi) but again quantity was poor.
Please do something about the quantity or reduce the price so I can come back again.
The place has great ambiance, the service is courteous and professional. A must have Mediterranean dining experience.
Had a lovely experience in the restaurant. Not only was the food delicious, even the decor was too good. Really felt as if we were in Greece or some place like that! Chef ashish has really done a wonderful job with the dishes. We ordered the muttable twice. As a first timer with no experience in this cuisine, the staff was really helpful in suggesting it. Do try the muttable, lamb n parmesan manakeesh, laham kabab, baklava and khunafa. A very nice, beautiful place that can be visited with family/friends. Safety protocols are followed.
I had ordered Margherita pizza, it was worth the price, great portion and thin crust , if it would have been bit more spicy then for me that's a 5 star dish.
Excellent food and service from Ashish and team.
Really enjoyed the hummus platter and the new Biriyani’s!
While parking can be little problem considering the busiest hub HSR is, however, the struggle is worthy enough as it will lead you to some delicious food without disappointment.
Slightly on the high price bracket but worth every penny when it comes to taste & quality.
Interiors are well to culminate into a balanced mixture of multiple elements.
I would choose this place for some best Lebanese food over & over.
Lovely food.2nd time here.
They have some great mezze's.
Kunafa is good.
The kebab platter is very nice
Bonum cibum is an amazing Mediterranean restaurant that serves delicious kebab koobideh and other dishes at a very reasonable price.
The restaurant is very lovely and bright, it gaves you that Santorini vibes which was very pretty and cute.
I like the Cold Mezze platter here and the brinjal wrapped with Halloumi cheese is so tasty and mouth watering. The best part is if you come in a group of more than 4 they have these kebab koobideh spread on the table which includes rice, vegtables etc..it's really worth the price for the quantity of the food but you need to placed one day in advance for it.
My favourite mocktail is the tamarind drink which was very refreshing.
In desserts my favorite is the kunafa and baklava.
The staff are courteous and friendly.
Enjoyed the Grill platter and the 6ft long Beef Kobedia @bonumcibum.in . Totally worth the distance, waiting and Money.
A small place located in the heart of HSR. This places promises to serve Mediterranean food. Their pita are soft and their spread is amazing. Totally loved the grill platter which is a mix of Chicken and beef. Priced at Rs.1600 it can serve 8ppl.
Also the Beef Kobedia is which is 6 foot long. Priced at Rs. 2500 serves 10 people. Totally tasty and juicy. Yum is all I can say.
Dont forget to prebook the meal.. Thanks to @zafir_syed for the invite and @arijit1106 @thefoodiebrotherss @theunconventional_tribal @platewithflavours for the company.
Bonum Cibum celebrates Mediterranean food like no other place I have visited in Bangalore. Right from the decor, the vibrant props, the beautiful walls to the customised menu card, everything is so well done.
It's that perfect place where you can relax and feel transported to another place. The staff is extremely helpful and caters to your needs.
Had gone here to try their famous kebabs which is served as an entire Mediterranean feast, and we weren't disappointed at all. Beef cooked tenderly with generous amount of seasoning, chicken, mutton, roasted vegetables, saffron rice and pickles - it's one hearty filling affair. Definitely would recommend everyone to head over with their group to try it out.
Even for the vegetarians, the starters we tried were extremely delicious. Egg plants wrapped in haloumi cheese and grilled, the mezze cold platter with variety of hummus and the refreshing mocktails.
This place is an experience in itself!
Ambience: 5/5
Service:4.5/5
Taste:4.5/5
Value for money: 4.5/5
There is always that one experience with food that you remember forever, and for me it was here at bonum cibum!
The place is new & promising. It specializes and serves Mediterranean cuisine.
The interiors here are simple and elegant.
The staff and the serves here were skilled, humble and very helpful.
We started off with some refreshing Rooh Afsa Mojito.. To go with this we had the beautiful cold mezze platter.
One of my fav dishes here was the goat cheese boreks, something that I kept on having!
The eggplant and haloumi parcels, was just stunning as well.
Moving on to the grills, I experienced something I never imagined that I will in India!
The mix grill platter with chicken, beef kabas, bread, veggies and saffron rice.
It serves around 6-7 people and is costs at about 1600rs, and its definitely worth every penny.
We were not just don't yet and then came up the long kabab i have ever tried and probably the tastiest pice of meat I have ever tried!!
The kobideh beef kabab platter.. Served with white rice, saffron rice, cheese, butter and lots of veggies.
This platter costs around 2600rs.
Both the platter are made on spl request and you should order it off a day prior so that they are able to make proper arrangements.
Moving on to the desserts, we tried the umm also, the kunafa and the buklava.
The buklava and kunafa were soo good that we orderd 2 of each!
Overall it was like a once in a life time experience for me! Loved every bit of it!
One of the hidden gems in the busy HSR layout where eateries appear and disappear without a trace, Bonum Cibum is a hallmark of authentic Middle Asian Cusine with subtle touch of flavours familar to the Indian palate. As we waited with baited breath for the main highlight of our Main course- a shared platter of Six incher Beef Kebab served with vegetables and Saffron Rice in a community meal setup, we decided to try some of their entrees and a couple of Mocktails. The cold mezzeh platter was pur first dig and as we proceeded to the Roasted eggplant and Haloumi parcels, I was quite convinced of their artisanship in the genre and decided to over indulge with our meat cravings. This lead to the orddering of the Mixed Grill Platter, another community meal comprising of Chicken and Beef Kebabs served with vegetables and Saffron Rice. This masterpiece is quite a sight under preparation and added to our apetite with its succulent texture and juicy flavours. We decided to savour our Main order-The Beef Kebab for a little later and started sipping on mocktails innovatively titled Tamar e Hindi and Fruity Melange. The Beef Kebab which was over 6 feet in length was nothing short of divinity for the meat eaters and is a must try for the relevant suspects. Its juicy and soft texture melting with every bite only added to our loyalty for the restaurant whose owners have spent a considerable time in the Middle East leading to perfecting the flavours with a touch of indigenous familiarity. Their desserts deserve special mention with the UmmAli and the Baklawa standing out from others. The latter is a genuine rendition.of the classic recipe, sparcely sweet and evoking the real flavours of Pistacchios and other dry fruits. You have got a loyal fan in me -Bonum Cibum which as part of the trivia translates to Good Food in Latin- Divinum Cibum is also probably an understatement.
The place is centrally located and easily accessible from Kormangla and Marathalli. The place is very nicely decorated and the seating is perfect. The food is really good and the owners are very sweet. They exactly know which dish is what, how it should taste, how it should be made and most importantly, how it should be served. The service and staff is also very good. Vijay is the man to hold of. He will serve you very well.
If you wanna go out for team lunch, family outings or simply want to experience a new taste, this is certainly the place to be. If you are meditarian food love, this is just the right place.
Do try there newly launched Persian Kebabs. Happy eating. 😊
Thanks Vijay for the wonderful service
Amazingand delicious food. With its pleasant ambience this place attracts all kinds of food connoisseur. I highly recommend this place
Had the iskenda kebab and hummus-pita bread. Must try the signature dishes. Reminded me of my trip to the Middle East!
Awesome food , very friendly staff and good service.
Different varieties in beverages. Fruty melange is a must try.
I finally found the best hummus ...
The food is v good. I liked the ambience too. Overall perfect.
Umm Ali was good. Need to preorder for a buffet

Visited with family and everyone of us loved the hour we spent in this gorgeously decorated restaurant. 5 stars for the interiors, 5 stars for the staff, 5 stars for the food. Even the wash area interiors are also amazingly done
A good new restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine. The ambiance was lovely and the interiors were very well done. The staff was really helpful. Our server was Bijoy. Too good
So as we have a middle East background (though we are Indian citizens because middle East does not believe in giving citizen benefits to expatriates even if they are born and living there for 100 years), we know how the food should taste.
If you don't know the details of the food, this is the perfect restaurant for you. You won't know the difference. The hummus was yum with the pita bread though we felt the tahini amount could be increased a bit. The cream of mushroom soup was too good with the right amounts of everything. The shish taouk was good but we found it a bit dry like a tandoor.
The fatoosh was yum but we asked them to avoid putting capsicum or onion (which some people in India throw just to fill it up. Capsicum has to be red, yellow or orange, as the green ones don't really go well for this salad. The onions have to be finely chopped and some put huge chunks in it, so eliminating them is the best). It still had carrot which did not go well with the whole salad. The fried kaboos was too huge for the mouth. Taste wise it was yum.
The kebabs were good but slightly dry. The lamb chops were good. The chicken shawarma was perfect.
The manakeesh (Lebanese pizza which seems like a variant of fatayer) was too yum with the right amounts of zaatar and cheese on it. We got foodgasms!
The lemon mint juice was superb and refreshing.
We ended by ordering a kunafa. It was yum for those who did not know how it is supposed to be but we knew that the vermicelli was a little extra and the cheese amount should have been more.
But i will still go to this restaurant again as i haven't found another Mediterranean restaurant in the north of Bangalore.
I had a 3ft non veg arabic platter which was served on a bed of rice with some veggies, lamb chops, and 3 chicken dishes with some relishes.Soup was served in the begining which was part of the platter. It would easily serve 5 people as the quantity was huge and tasted good.
The food is not spicy as is the case of authentic Arabic food.
Great Ambience. Looks like a small place from outside but the seating is well organized. The service was good. Anjum took our order. He was polite and suggested the best that they could offer. Coming to the food, we ordered the meat platter and it was delicious with sufficient quantity. The lamb was juicy and fresh while the chicken had some best flavours. For desserts, we tried their kunafa and it was extremely yummy. Overall, this is a great place for a wholesome meal!
Had lovely lunch today. The food was absolutely wonderful, pizza, bread platter with different dips, chicken, pasta we liked all. The ingredients were fresh and all the dishes were tasty. Overall very good experience. Located in the main road, quite accessible. Very courteous staff, nice Mediterranean and contemporary interior which makes your dining experience a more pleasant one.
Visited one Sunday morning, felt as if the first customer. The staff was courteous and very attentive.
Ambience- 5/5
The ambience is fantastic. It interiors are meticulous curated and done.
Taste- 4/5
They have Lebanese cuisine.
The food was tasty both veg and non veg items.
Overall a great place to have something different.
very beautiful restaurant. the staff was very cordial, had a one on one interaction with the owner as well as the head chef (Ashish). food was impeccable and so was the ambience. pricing was very reasonable. family friendly, and a good place to bring your friends for a party too. unfortunately due to the ongoing pandemic, not many can enjoy this experience, but it was worth it. zomato delivery is possible.

I made an impromptu visit to Bonum Cibum and walked in to find that there were barely any veg options available (understandableas it's a Mediterranean cuisine) and walked out. The owner took attention and was good at convincing my family and I to blindly trust him and his chef by curating veg dishes chosen by them.
With some hesitation we eventually decided to take the risk and honestly... it was so worth it !!!!!!! The chef surprised us with the most delicious platters, beverages, and dessert that I just can't forget the experience.
The restaurant is cute and comfortable within a renovated ancient bungalow. There are a variety of seating options. We had the mezzi platter with Pita, not sure what the main was called but it had yellow rice with grilled paneer, mushrooms, Capsicum with filling, cheese Naan and paneer, and the Kunafa dessert. The food was quite filling and honestly stuffed myself when the dessert came as I could just not resist.
Each dish was well detailed and served to us directly by the chef. The personal attention and considerations given to us impressed me. Chef knew exactly what we would like and made the food even better than our expectations. Looking forward to visiting again !
One of the best thing about Bonum Cibum is the ambience, just amazing! We ordered Arabic platter half, the taste wise is authentic Arabic Mandi style food. I feel prices should be little more affordable for the portions provided half platter is not sufficient for proper foodies who loves more portion. Otherwise it is well & good. May be the buffets makes more sense compared to the platters. This is one of the good visit restaurants in this locality.
Decent Turkish food for Indian standards. But definitely far from authentic Turkish food. Still overall worth trying for Bangaloreans.
Ambiance is decent. Overall look and feel is deserves a visit.
Food is more South Indian than Turkish. However if you have never eaten proper Turkish food, you won’t even realize it.

I was wondering what this place was all about so thought I'll try it out. Let's get to the point, no BS. The place was lit and beautiful. The ambiance was bliss and soothing. The food pricetag like any other mid tire restaurant. What caught my eye was the platter (seen in picture). The platter contained 4 chops of lamb, 4 pieces of chicken, 8 prawns and 4 pieces of chicken sheek kabab... this was the meat platter. Accompanied with the meat platter was the rice platter that contained 4 small bowls of rice, one of which was rice with minced meat ( it tasted absolutely awesome). The meat were super juicy and flavourful. If you have an awesome appetite, one can happily enjoy and finish the platter alone. We plaid through dine out so it feel that heavy on the wallet. It's a good place to try. Go and try out the place for yourself.
Recently visited this cafe and it has my heart for unique decor and lip smacking food. Each wall of this cafe has unique peace of design, they decorated it so well you feel completely different from the other place. And talking about their food course, oh my god so yummy, delicious can’t describe in words.
A perfect combo of Unique Design and Soul soothing food.
We have tried so many items still so many dishes yet to try.
starting with Pineapple and choco cookies with pomegranate tea cake. I must recommend this to try.
In starter we tried Hot mezze platter Egyptian veg kibbeh, eggplant&halloumi parcels and falafel .
Next on plate was Hara bhara kebab & chickpeas & cheese kebab. Starter were excellent and all the ingredients are prepared in house. Followed by main course we tried
Arabic mix grill platter served with 4 flavour rice,
Turkish kebabs and Mixed manakeesh. Unique dishes and mouthwatering taste.
Most recommended dish - Cold Mezze Platter had Hummus, muttabbal, muhammara, baba ghanoush, fattoush & 3 pita breads with cheese, zatar and Pomegranate salsa
And My favourite from their menu is Eggplant and haloumi parcels. In Desserts we tried Baklava, Kunafa, Muhlabia, Umm Ali , Brownies And Sweet pastillas. They have amazing drinks you should try. We tried Rooh Afza Mojito
Pomegranate & Apple Muddler
Chat pata mango berry
Though veg options are less, it is worth visiting. The cuisine is unique. Loved the flavors. Service is excellent. The chef comes to your table to help youbwithvthe menu! Overall a good quiet place.
I have been to this restaurant recently through an event conducted by foodie club.
I was quite excited to try in mediterrnean cuisine in this restaurant. I loved the set up and ambience of the restaurant, it was quite interesting!
I got seated and they started the proceedings with mutton shorba. Shorba was mildy hot but the taste was good. It has right amount spicynesss to enjoy it.
They have served the mediterrnean platter which contains two pieces of Prawns, Fish fillet, Lamb chops, Chicken Halazooni, Chicken Koobidhe along with small amount of mandi rice. Lamb chops was good in taste but it could have been if it served but hotter. Prawns, fish fillet are also nice. Chicken Koobideh could have been better. After having all the items, still it didnt fill my stomach. But the taste was good.
I have finished with the dessert Kunafa which was the show stopper, really nice one to finish off!
Quality - 4/5
Quantity - 3/5
Service - 4/5
Ambience - 4/5
Overall I had a decent dinning experience at this restaurant!
Bonum Cibum means ‘Good Food’ in Latin and this hidden gem in HSR layout not only stands by its name but excel in their service and flavours.
This place has beautiful white and blue theme that takes you to Middle East with their pretty yet cozy ambience.
They serve variety of Mediterranean delicacies like Mezze platter, Marakeesh, Baklava and Kunafa(Yes Bangalore got an authentic kunafa place now) with authentic flavours and fresh in-house made ingredients.
Some of the best Veg dishes of this restaurant are Feta Cheese Fatayer, Roasted eggplant with halloumi cheese, Kunafa, sweet pastillas, baklava and Mezze Platter. I loved the Feta cheese Fatayer - cheese stuffing was melting in mouth leaving its slight sour flavour behind.
They have a wide menu of drinks as well which are quiet refreshing especially Rooh-afza mocktail.
The owners make sure you enjoy your food with healthy and fresh ingredients and help you pick dishes from the menu. They just launched a Mediterranean Trail with 5 to 21 course meal with a thought of spreading flavours of various Middle East n Mediterranean countries in one dine. Each dish in the Trail represents special delicacy of a country and trust me you will end up with a burst of flavours in your mouth and a lifetime of memories of this place. Must visit place and it’s really affordable as they give 100% cashback in food bill in terms of rewards which you can redeem on ‘giftsonair’.
