This is one of the good place for North Karnataka food.
The place was crowded on Sunday afternoon even at 14:30.
You can't have an exclusive table here, you need to share table (Anyways this not a place to relax and dine).
We felt food is little spicy.
Service was average.
The best item was ಎಣ್ಣೆಗಾಯಿ(brinjal curry) ಮಜ್ಜಿಗೆ(butter milk).
You can always come here again and again if you agree looking for a North Karnataka food.
This place is awesome and affordable,
It's my favorite place, I am visiting this place since a very long time and never had a problem here with either quality or service, it's a pocket friendly place, very soft rotis and amazing gravy, the only problem is after Diwali or dusera it closes for a month or two months every year as staff go for hometown, these times I feel very difficult for sourcing a good place like this hotel which serves quality food without adding SODA especially

This is a right place to have a decent and powerful
Lunch.. The jolada rotti and curry combo is the best at anytime of the day.. I love the green tomato chutney and the mirchi bajji.. One can have stomach full with great taste at an affordable price..
simple north karnataka food in a meal concept.
Roti sabji Dal Rice sambhar rasam curd papad.
limited options awesome taste.
Buttermilk is amazing.
Food is a little on the spicy side.
Best place in Gandhi Bazaar to have a good meal at a really good price!
Ambience - It was recently renovated so it is a little colorful now, before it was too plain and simple. The place gets too crowded during peak lunch and dinner time so better to be early to have a relaxed meal. If you are late then few items on the menu might not be available.
Service - Within a minute of taking seat there will be a staff to take your order and whatever you order it will be served within minutes.
Food - I go here only for Jowar Rotti meal, I have visited the place several times and placed the same order every time. The meal contains 2 Rotti (or chapathi), Brinjal Curry (Ennegaay) , Mixed pulse Curry, a cup of curds, a bowl of rice, Rasam, Sambar, raw cucumber and onion. Everything is good especially the brinjal Curry.
You can have a hearty meal under Rs.100 !
Visited this restaurant today and i was shocked as they have renovated it and it looks way too good. I tried gobi parantha and ras malai. Gobi parantha is served with curd and choley, and i loved it. Rasmalai was very tasty but i felt ras had lot of water mixed.
Jollada roti otta is super, and curd chutney combination is goodtaste. Rasam and sambar all will be taste. Butter milk is superb taste. Service is fast and good.

Medium ambience.Cleanliness part has to be review.
very affordable.Soft hot jowar rottis. Very tasty authentic north karnataka gravies. Healthy meal. Buttermilk is so satisfactory.
Well I being from North Karnataka side, I like to have the classic Rotti oota once in a while and this is the place which I go to always.
Though they don't have a very good ambience but they do have a great taste. The complete meal is worth paying and is a stomach filling.
Best north karnataka food i ever had in my life . Healthy as well as pocket friendly. Every item in there menu is worth mentioning . With the right amount of spices the taste of the food is simply delicious.
Amazing North Karnataka food.
Overall an amazing place. Nothing fancy, don't expect great ambiance and stuff, but very good meals!
If you haven't tried this place, please do.

This is the only place where i have tasted the best jolada rotti and curry in bangalore till now. They provide around 3-4 different types of curries for rotti and most of them taste good and above average for sure, but they are a little spicy sometimes. I'm only concerned about the hygiene they are maintaining in this hotel, if they do it i think this is going to be a very good restaurant for jolada rottti in bangalore. I felt the pricing is also average.
Finger licking North Karnataka food, jowar rotis are very soft and they serve best curry with that..tastes nice.. Must visit place when you are around gandhi bazaar
I visited this place after my friend recommended me to try north Karnataka food at this restaurant. I ordered regular meal. They initially served 2 rotis, which were not wheat rotis, but some other. But I liked them a lot. Rice, sambhar was average. However it is good as you can have this kinda food as your daily meal.
It is clean and tidy. Food service was fast and quick.
Location is in Gandhi Bazar, Basvangudi. So easily accessible.
I am not sure if that was best north Karnataka Food in this area. But i found this restaurant decent, overall.
If your in Gandhi Bazaar plz make it a point to visit this place for a typical N.Karnataka lunch. Ragi, Akki n Jola Rotis are really yummy. But, the Yennegai isn't that great as such, nevertheless good homely food. Plz make sure u order an extra butter milk for its superb... If you aren't a copious eater never gamble for a special lunch; its just too much to be completed.
Having lived in Gulbarga for half of my life, uttara Karnataka food is literally in my blood. Though many khanawalis have been opened in bangalore, I've heard this one in particular is really good.
With all the recommendations, I visited here on a Saturday noon, for proper jolada rotti oota.
I am not going to comment much about the ambience, except for the fact that it was kept clean and tidy.
The service is quick and on top of being a busy day the waiters were taking care of all the tables.
So getting to the food, the taste was really good. Hot jolada rottis, shenga pudi, badnekayi palya.. All were just delicious. My favorite was the hot mensinakayi bajji.. Was just too good. Only negative was that, there was no butter or ghee with rottis which would have been just perfect.
So all you jolada rotti lovers, visit here!
North Karnataka meals have become quite trend these days....compared to the overpriced kamat this establishment in Gandhi bazaar offers three rotti three different types of curries rice sambhar rasam sweet and yummy buttermilk all for 100rs...quite economical I must say...oh and this is just special meals...for ppl looking to eat when their budget is low this is the place....and very tasty and spicy food too...
An excellent north karnataka food outlet in bangalore. Buttermilk and jowar roti meals, what else you need. Heaven on earth. Yummy and delicious finger licking food. Innu swalpa khaara maadi pa !
Located near gandhi bazaar.. Not very difficult to find.. My friend suggested that we try out this place.. I was a bit reluctant at first thinking it would be just like any other South Indian restaurant but then made it a point to go give a try.. And boy! It was amazing..! Since then v go there almost every other day. We tried everything on the menu and my most favourite is jolada rotti. Its a must try for food lovers. The place always crowded n u have to wait for not more than 10mins.. Its totally worth the place. The place is quite hygienic, service is quick n freshly made rottis(served with 2 curries-unlimited, n chutney) totally satisfy your taste buds! And the best part is healthy food at a reasonable price... 100-150 bucks for two! Its now one of my most favourite places in Bangalore!
Spicy and best uthara kannada food they serve. The rotis and hot and spicy subji tastes awesome. And then the rasam which is just heaven to taste. Chilli bajji and the masala buttermilk are highlight. And the best way to finish the lunch by eating the tamarind chocolate that is available at the counter.
Good food for all those who miss namma north karnatakada rotti oota with spicy curries and mirchi bhajji.
Difficult to find place to sit during lunch hours.
Had been to this place for lunch for 5 days that I was in Bangalore as it was very close to my office, though the ambience is average, getting a seat even for one person during lunch time took about 10-15mins, I had their Joalada roti, raagi roti, akki roti with very nutritious proteinaceous curries made out of variety of beans and grams. The food deserves a 5/5, plates are cleaned properly, food is served hot, and yes I also tasted their Gulab Jamun which was really yum. Overall this place is value for money and for a hungry tummy with interests in veg food this is a blessing!
Of all the JoLada rotti meals places I have visited in BengaLuru, I found this place best. Ennegayi and kaaLu palya from this place can't be more tasty anywhere. Decent rotti also. Worth riding 25km up and down in city traffic for a weekend dinner :D
A must try place for north karnataka menu, tried out their special meals, they have variety of rotis to offer in the menu. Its crowded most of the time you will have to wait to catch a seat. Food is good and different and fits you pocket.
If you miss eating home made food.. This is it guys.. Light, healthy, tasty, cheap food. If you are fed up of that all masala spicy food and need something healthy.. This is it.
This place doesn't have an appealing ambience or something but what it has is great food. If you are really into typical south Indian food.. This place is heaven for you.
This place was our frequent spot for lunch. The akki rotis and ragi rotis are tasty and healthy and so are the curries along with them. Curd too..! all this kinda mini meal in just 45 bucks. You can add rice which comes along that crunchy papad. You may find multiple add ons to your meal like a glass of buttermilk or a mirchi bhajji. The service is good and fast. You need to ignore the interiors.

There is new branch of Shree Venkateshwara North Karnataka Hotel on Kothnur Dinne main road, JP Nagar just opposite to the Big Bazaar.
I like the restaurant for its simplicity & no fuss about anything. The menu rates have increased now. But its simple wholesome north karanataka meals which is quite authentic in taste. They have four options, special meals, regular meals, roti curry & rice plate. All seem to be good enough & one can choose based on what one likes to eat.
It seems managed well even the cash counter has stuff like condiments & quick snacks which are popular around north karnataka, so its seems truly authentic.
With all its simplicity they also a very clean & hygenic dining ambience and absolutely nothing is compromised, like a proper clean handwash etc.
Give it a try you will definitely like it. We will definitely visit again.
Neat place quick service. Tasty North karnatic food. Especially the sambar and rasam
I'm a big fan of North Karnataka cuisine and there are hardly any good such restaurants in Bangalore. Sree Venkateshwara is one restaurant that serves pretty good North Karnataka fare at extremely reasonable prices.
The Meals come in 2 main variants. Jowar Roti, one of the staple items in a N.Karnataka meal, is prepared soft like Chapatis, unlike the hard, crispy stuff served in other places. Most of the curries are quite good too, with a slightly North Indian like touch in their preparation, yet unique in taste. The buttermilk given along with the meals though needs an improvement. Sweets are not always good here.
This place is a no-frills joint, heavily crowded during lunch hours, serving just limited but sumptuous meals.
Verdict :- No-frills, hearty, tasty meal guaranteed
One of the only North Karnataka food outlets in Basavanagudi.. Normally filled with Bms college boys during week ends!
Taste is pretty much decent. Special meals come with a desert too . Besan laddu tasted yummy ! A must visited place for North Karnataka food lovers! Curry's taste good and feels healthy. Pretty much worth the money!
Must try
This establishment is situated on DVG Road, adjacent to Jay Clinic. It's worth noting that it's not situated on the main road, which might make it less noticeable. Despite its compact size, they offer sufficient parking space for two-wheelers.
When it comes to their food offerings, they specialize in serving traditional Jolad roti or chapathi along with a choice of three different curries, with the brinjal curry standing out. If you desire extra curry or chapathi, they are more than willing to accommodate your request. They also provide rice, serving it with either sambar or Rasam, both of which are delicious. As an accompaniment to the rice, they offer buttermilk and papad. The staff is exceptionally polite and offers unlimited servings.
If you want to try the best jolada rotti in Bangalore - please come here . This is almost as good as basaveshwara khanavali of Hubballi ( if you know it , you know it 😃) . Extremely pocket friendly , clean , and with good service .
Tried their gulab Jamoon. - and it is really good .
Please be there before 1 pm ( you will have 5-10 minutes waiting time ) during weekends for lunch.
This is located on DVG road next to Jay clinic ( This isn't located in main road. hence, it goes unnoticed) . Though the place is small, they have ample space for two wheeler parking.
Coming to food they serve traditional Jolad roti / chappathi with 3 types of curry out of which brinjal curry is outstanding. If you want extra curry or chappathi they will serve. If you want rice you can ask , they will serve based on your need with sambar or Rasam(both were delicious). Along with rice they will serve buttermilk and papad. Staffs are very courteous ,they serve unlimited.
The meals are great value for money options. It was ₹110. Taste was it was pretty good and service is also nice. There is a parking space for bikes which is an advantage in that area.
I actually didn't dine in there, but instead took parcel of jolada rotti and 3 types of curries as well as sambhar to home and it was finger-licking delicious. My folks at home absolutely loved it and its now our go-to place if we feel like having jolada rotti. Prices are reasonable too.
The best place to experience North Karnataka jowar roti and yenne Badnekayi( stuffed brinjal 🍆) in Basavangudi..
loved the food and their service. When compared to other places their price is bit high but it’s okay when compared their Taste..
Here the spicy 🌶️ level is Upmost.
Best jolada rotti oota in Bangalore I can say , because all food is made fresh , and the same taste from the last 10 years .
Good staff and owner too
North Karnataka rotti meals ! Sumptuous, hygienic and filling ! This place offers quick dining option.
Very good vegetarian food. North karnataka style, jower rotis no oil at all, two awesome curries, brinjal one takes more credit, rice sambar , rasam butter milk etc tastes like home food.
Best place for North Karnataka style uta. I usually have chapati here and it will be very soft and big in size. Sides are very very tasty. Must visit in Gandhi bazar for good rotti oota.
Best Jolada Rotti Meals in town!! The restaurant is not fancy, but the food served here is hygiene, tasty and healthy!!
Good food.
As usual this is another Uttar Karnataka food and can give it a try, worth the hype.
This is far better compared to the Third block, Jayanagar Basaveshwar Khanavali (special loot)
Service wise these people need to speed up, rest all fantastic.
If you want to have a sumptuous North Karnataka Meals. This is the place. Never had such nice Jowar Rotis. They charge 100/- for unlimited meals.
