Beautifully themed restaurant!From the plate till the servers, everything goes perfectly with the theme.They provide aluminium plates and glasses. People there are dressed in police and criminal attire. There are props which can be used for clicking pictures.Very friendly and great ambience.
I visited Central Jail restaurant with my parents on a Saturday afternoon. The place looks dilapidated on the outside with the name board broken and hanging off an edge. But we asked a shop owner in the ground floor who told us that it was open. We walked up to the first floor and walked in to a jail! The place is pretty cool with staff in police and inmate uniforms walking around taking orders and delivering food. We were attended to by Sunil who was very attentive, responsive, and kind. We ordered tomato soup (yummy!), adharaki babycorn (tandoor and so, crispy), plain roti, butter Kashmiri roti, garlic naan, & methi naan, dal tadka (soothing), and palak paneer (delicious). We also ordered lime soda which seemed slightly flat. Overall, the food is worth a visit and the service makes it a good experience. Definitely recommended!
One of the best theme restaurant in the city. It feels like you are really in jail. Jail type seating arrangements , plates , waiters uniform is completely amazing. Food taste is also good here. Staff is polite and good. We ordered egg and chicken curry and it was really good. We went at there closing time but still they treat us well. Hospitality is quite good in this restaurant.

The ambience is awesome.Really felt like entering jail.Service very good and very polite staff,Soup and starter(Chicken Saini kebab)was awesome.Mutton biriyani is the worst one I ever tested.I suggest the cook for biriyani should immediately be changed.

we visited this place 15days back, located in jayanagar 4th block.
ambience was full jail theme implemented, their staff were wearing jail and police dress and very friendly, one thing i want to complain about AC, In that big place only 2 AC's are there, no proper ventilation.
But food taste is just awesome. I loved it

Ordered Andhra Dishes which were good. Chicken kebab was cold and lacked proper seasoning but Andra chilli chicken was bomb ππ₯. Service is good with polite staff. Theme is also cool. 1 thing can be done that is to increase the numbers of cell because people wait to eat there.
Its an interesting place to be having food here in CJR when you know you are not guilty. Ambiance well matched with the theme and the plates used plays along, also the dress code of the staffs. Food tastes good. Service was prompt though preparing food does take time. Giving it 5 π for carrying out well its uniqueness that a person with PTSD relating to crime would dare not enter.
Unique experience.. very well executed jail theme restaurant! Have created a nice authentic feel and a good fun place to visit with family. Food was ok, not great, probably because we only tried veg options. But worth a visit just for the experience!
The place is really good looking.they really must have worked in depth to come up with this kind of architecture and design.their plates..kettle . everything is like how they serve in a jail.Brilliant thinking.there is a sudo jail also ...where u can get in and dine inside the jail.
Coming to the food...we had Andra special chilly chicken...which was mouth watering π€€.. really tasty and spicy.
Then we had butter naan and veg Hyderabadi gravy.the gravy was π―. I loved it.

I really got sacred when I first entered..I really liked the concept and felt that m in jail in reality ..Staffs are really prompt , professional and attentive .Quick service,reasonable price .I ordered classic chopsey and it was really yummy.Good crowd.Will definetly visit again .
You know what super super experience is? what I got in central jail..I dinner like I am in Jail. Food was good and the way of serving the food was good. But I would really appreciate if they will serve the foo in a container like jail......otherwise overall food ambiance was so chilling
Itz really good for authentic north Indian food. Especially their rotis and vegetable gravies. Paneer kohlapuri and schzwan baby corn are my favourites.

It's not a restaurant. It's an experience. Food is good. Service too. Considering jail theme, ambience is perfect...kinda gloomy. I won't go again. But, yea worth a visit to experience.
After long time visited a new restaurant and it has very different theme. As you can see the name it is themed to give a feel of prison. All the staff are dressed as cops and inmates. Even the cutlery they use reflected that ambience. Even the food is great!!!

Central Jail is a prison-themed restaurant in Jayanagar market. Although, the concept is not new and there are a couple of more prison-themed restaurants that I had visited in different cities a couple of years ago. However, the taste of food is really superb!
I would say that this is a hidden gem in the Jayanagar market and it's going to be my one-stop dining destination going forward whenever I am in Jayanagar market for shopping.
I ordered a Dragon Chopsuey, a Butter Garlic Chopsuey, Veg Kofta, and Garlic Naan. The taste and quality of food was awesome!
Ambience was just perfect and the staff was polite and courteous. Overall, a satisfying experience.

What if, you are put in a central jail, provided with a decent food with great service and acquitted with an experience to cherish. Well this is how my friends and I felt on Monday. It was girls shopping day out for us when one of my friends noticed the Central Jail (Themed) Restaurant from the road, we wanted to give it a try. Narrow staircase would lead you to the restaurant on the 1st floor with a dummy prisoner welcoming you holding a placard. The iron doors at the entrance, the prisoner dummy and seating place inside the jail cubicle sets the stage for your entire experience. While we were busy giggling looking at the steward who was dressed up as a prisoner, all of a sudden a man dressed up as a policeman approached our table to take our order. (Honestly, I was taken aback for a moment wondering what did i do wrong :) ) The staff members are super friendly and do not frown when people ask for pictures with them or with their props. From the cutlery to the interiors, from the uniforms to the quotes on the wall, all of it do justice to the theme of the restaurant. We ordered for pepper fry mushroom, triple schezwan veg fried rice and chilli garlic chicken fried rice. The rice items were good and we really liked them but the mushroom dish was just ok as I felt that it was a bit over cooked. Overall, the place has provided us a good experience.

Starting from entering the police greets you, then you have jail like cabins where you can have the food, it's nice and unique the food is okay not that great. Although it's good place at Jayanagar

Visited the place recently with my office colleagues.
The Restaurant is located in the main road near Jayanagar Shopping complex.
Entire place is themed like a Central Jail.
Jailers taking orders, Prisoners serving food, Tables inside prison cells etc etc.
Each prison cell can accommodate only 4 people , so if you are going in a big group you will have to sit outside the prison cell.
I am a pure Vegetarian so i can comment only on Veg Food.
The Food was very good.
The prices are little on the higher side.
But if you want a different experience, it should not be a matter.
Totally worth a visit.
Visited the place with my family which is located in the prime location of Jayanagar 4th block. As the name says the ambience is in the jail format with 4-5 cells and few regular tables but somewhere I felt ambience incomplete. I would give 3* for ambience. The main part is the taste,cost and quantity. Taste of the food makes us to visit again as well s the quality price is bit expensive side. Staffs are friendly and into quick service. Over all worth visiting, keep up the good work.
A very different concept of Jail ambeince. I visited the place with mixed response from friends However my experience was positive. The food was above average..service was quick and friendly.
The atmosphere of the restraunt was quite amazing. And the interior was quite good and did match according to the name. I personally liked chicken encounter with naan which was quite delicious.
Nice place food was little spicy but unique one for the jail themed ambience. Came with colleagues for dinner and a memorable experience as well.
I don't know what's up with all these negative reviews. I've been to the restaurant couple of times, staff is very friendly and the food which they serve is absolutely delicious. 5/5 for the food.

Central jail..... a theme restaurant. The entire restaurant is designed like a jail and team are dressed like police n prisoners... it's fun ! A descent size menu with both veg and non veg options. Iam veggie.... tried the cj special soup, chilly basil noodles, tossed veggie, butter kulcha, veg kadai, navarathan kurma and lemon soda. Though the menu sounded familiar, we had no expectations.... food served and the service was good. If you are selfie lover...you have loads of cute corners to capture. Overall it was a good experience with family. Good job team *central jail* β

The Ambience of this restaurant is very awesome it is designed in a central jail type of scenario where everything is in the form of Jail. A costume which there were wearing was also jail costume we had ordered many dishes we had ordered Dragon chicken... noodles biryani the taste was very good serving was also very fast. Definitely try this restaurant.
A really creative place. Loved the ambience. The prison cell seating arrangement is really unique. And also the aluminium plates are the highlights ! Food is worth the price. Loved the garlic and butter fried rice. A great place for families for lunch and dinner.

This place gave me a complete jail like feeling starting from the entrance,the entrance was like a jail,the waiters were dressed like criminals,some dressed as policemen,the vessels they serve the food in is just like the vessels used in jails then the jail like compartments as well as the normal tables to eat it was just amazing!!
