If you want to have momos this is the best place to go trust me I tried many outlets but nothing was better than this
Yake restaurant the best tibetan authentic dish so far in banglore.i been there past 4 years.menu is perfect and price is reasonable.if you visit there you won't regard and definitely you will visit again..I love specially all kinds of momo..
Went there for the last month....we had beef chowmein and beef steam momos the food was pretty gud and yummy. But, sadly on the next day when we went there they had shut their shop. We really missed there beef noodles.
Amazing food!!! Love it so much man!!!
Try it out man!!! Been 3 years and still going!
If toy love anime and noodles try these
Thukpa! Khotay! Mokthuk! Momos! π€π»π€©π
This is the place where i love to go for there momos, juicy and tasty.love to visit again again and. Never forgot to try there thukpa which is so yummy not so masala and perfectly cooked
Food is really awesome and anyone wants to enjoy Tibetan food like Momo's must visit to yak kitchen. Really u can get the real taste over here....
Thank for the food ππ
I was always fond of Momo's for some reason but nowhere I liked it more than this place. If you are fond of trying the best Momo's, this is the best place in Bangalore. Loved it. Had been during noon it wasn't much crowded, served heartily ate wholeheartedly.
Yak Kitchen is one of my favourite.. The property of this restaurant is not great but the food here is one of the Bangalore's best. Thukpa here is a must to try.. Amazing...amazingggg... Tasty food
The best authentic Tibetan kitchen in Bangalore. Situated near brigade road, this is easily accessible. The food takes a little while to be delivered. But it's worth the wait, tastes amazing and it's also light on the pocket.
This small restaurant packs a powerful punch.
There is a single man who cooks everything apart from a few who help him with cutting the vegetables.
The food is just downright brilliant. Reason being, he has kept the food authentic. Usually Asian restaurants Indianise their food, if that's even a word, with spices and masalas that Indians like or at least it's assumed that we like it.
The food is very authentic Tibetian food which blew my mind.
The Tingmo was very air-y and light and the Shaptra was very tasty.
The Mokthuk was the best thing I had there. The Momos were huge and had a lot of filling inside.
Suggestion: Try beef. The broth is way tastier.
Tibetan cuisine has always been our comfort zone, and when in Kolkata there are ample restaurants which serves delicious dishes at affordable prices. However, that wasn't to be the case in Bengaluru. Had tried a few places before arriving at Yak's Kitchen, but returned disappointed.
When we got down at MG Road metro station, our Zomato search led us to Brigade Road, and by the second lane we reached Sunshine Plaza. Located on the third floor of a dingy plaza, Yak's Kitchen is a cramped up restaurant, which can hardly seat 20 people at a time. We also got to know that they had opened the restaurant after a period of one month due to absence of cooking staff.
We started with:
Chicken Kothey: 8 pieces of juicy momos is what we needed on a mild Bengaluru noon.
Chicken Fried Momo: Well, momos are succulent and the fried ones were no different. Crispy and delicious.
Chicken Noodles & Fried Rice: Didn't take any sides, and felt the mains were low on salt, but that will hardly trouble you.
Overall, spent a fruitful time there and had our first authentic Tibetan in Bengaluru.
The best place in Bangalore to eat original Tibetan delicacies. The place may be small and simple, but the food is great.Strongly recommended if you want to try out a new cuisine.
Not very likely to be ever rated for its ambience but very very likely to be rated for it's authentic Tibetan food! The momos are absolutely delicious. So are the thupkas. A must visit for momo lovers when you're nearby.
I love yak Momo which is soupy and tasty.which is the best Tibetan Momo in Bangalore. Yak s known for Tibetan food.will come again
Small n tasty Tibetan food joint
This is a pretty small place, located near the brigade road, on the third floor of a building. Very easy to miss if you don't keep a proper lookout for it.
The entire restaurant is dedicated to the Tibetan culture and they do serve authentic Tibetan food. The ambiance is not much to talk about so lets jump into the food part...
I was pretty near starving when I reached this place, and so ordered a chicken shaptra and steamed beef momos. Mind it, on a normal day this is a order for two people... The quantities are a lot for each of the dishes.
The chicken shaptra, true to its name, was the Tibetan stir-fried meat dish... Tasted somewhat like chilli chicken, the main difference being that the chicken pieces were in the form of small, bite size slices then chunks.
Next, the steamed beef momo. First all of all, these aren't your ordinary momos. Each of this are equivalent to 3 normal size street-style momos.... They are HUGE !! The filling was decent, but the momo that they served to me was cold. I suggest if anybody wants to try their momos, go for the fried one, you'll have a much better experience.
Overall, a good place to go to when you're craving authentic Tibetan food but on a tight budget. The entire order cost me around βΉ240, so yeah, its worth it. The restaurant, however, can definitely improve the taste factor for all their items.
Fried chicken momos tasted amazing. Ambience was ojayish and service was very slow. But, taste was worth the wait. Must try in Brigade Road .
Oh I love this place, the best thupka , momos and moktuks. Small place but amazing guys. Best time to visit in winter noons . I would rate momos here better then any place in Bangalore
I have tried momos across bangalore but here i tastd the best momos i ever had i must say try shaptra n tingmo just love it must try the crowd is good try the beef momos its the juicest momos u vl ever get

Traditional Tibetan Delicacies. Delicious in taste. Especially the momos. Variety of things to try. The place is quite smaller in area yet entertains a lot of people. The only issue is with the cleanliness. It isn't properly maintained. Overall pretty good place.
Go here for the best Beef momos in town. So juicy, it's as if they inject soup inside their momos. Their shabakleb is really good too.
Don't bother trying any other dishes.
Pretty good place to have some Tibetian food in a cheap price.....π πππ
I found the Momo's best here.... ππ
Cool place to chill out affer the shopping haha
Small place.
Amazing and authentic Tibetan food that's fresh and delicious.
Open kitchen. So there's nothing to hide. What you see is what you get.
We had veg momos (unlike the dry skinny ones you get on the roads, these were big fat and JUICY!) And being a hardcore non-vegetarian, I actually liked these Veg Momos. We also ordered Beef fried rice and Chicken Thupka. By the end of the meal, you'll be smiling ear to ear. It's Soul food.
I love this place because of its simplicity. They don't have an elaborate menu or a lot of dishes. But what they serve, they prepare really well and you won't forget their food easily.
Portions are good. Reasonable prices.
A place you'll want to visit again and again.
This was our adda while in college. Used to go there almost every other week.
The veg steamed/fried momos and veg mokthuk were the ones i ate most of the time. Other than that, i have had veg khotay momos, veg thukpa, veg noodles and veg fried rice.
All these with a bottle of coke or mazaa and you are good to go.
The place is small and mostly filled with college students. Their service is too slow but the food is worth the wait.
This place has never disappointed me.
Tired of having pizza, pasta and paneer?? Want to move out from this 3P's of your life?? Then drop in to yak's kitchen and get dazzled by the lip smacking delicacies of the spectacular tibetan cuisine! This restaurant is exceptionally good and serves you amazing momos, thukpa, tingmo, noodles and lot more! Interesting fact - this restaurant provides you the best food with the best price! One can fill their stomach with less than 150 bucks in their pockets!
Yak's kitchen is scrumptious and worth trying!
Probably best momos in town. Little bit tough to locate this place as its on 2nd floor of a small building. Must try if you haven't till now.
I really don't understand why this place has got only 3.7 stars. Been eating Tibetian food this whole month at different places. The beef Momo's here are to die for. One of the best Tibetian restaurant among all the places I've been to so far.
Located on the third floor of sunshine plaza, guest house road. Three of us went here on a Thursday afternoon. We ordered chicken Shaptra gravy, chicken momos, tingmos and chicken fried rice. The chicken momos were very juicy and filled with chicken. It was just of the world. The tingmos were really nice too. They were soft and fluffy. The fried rice was okayish. And the shaptra was really good too. The service was pretty fast. And the waiter was really nice to us. The ambiance wasn't very good. I feel this place is totally worth of money. Will surely visit this place again.
I have been to this place a couple of times. Menu is simple and easy to choose. I recommend Thukpa, Momos and my favourite dish from here: Chicken Shaptra with a Tingmo. Tingmo is a steamed bread and the combination is unique. Very pocket friendly.
Excellent location if you're close to Brigade road. Wouldn't advise you to come with your own vehicle. Insanely difficult to find a parking spot. Average price for two: Rs. 500/-
This was a pleasant unexpected find. We went searching for a clothing store and found this instead so decided to go get an appetizer. The place is pretty small, but the aromas coming from their kitchen very tempting. We ordered the beef strapka and oh my god did we fall in love with it or what. You can't really say it's presented well, but there's a lot of sauce, veggies and they're very generous with the beef for the price they charge. The beef slices are tender, juicy and just yum. Definitely looking forward to going for a full course meal.
The restaurant is easy to miss as it's located on the 3rd floor of a commercial building deep inside the Brigade Road. If ambience ain't your criteria for food this wouldn't be a bad place to visit. The thupka is mind blowing and would gladly suggest momos to anyone.
Located in brigade road opposite Tibetan market serves really good Tibetan food. My favourite is chicken shaptra with tingmo and steamed chicken momos. Also, beef momos and shabakleb (fried gujia) ordered by my friend was yummy.
It's a must visit for a quick bite once you are exhausted from street shopping!!ππ
On the quest of authentic Tibetan food we ended up to this very small restaurant located near brigade road opposite to Dubai plaza on the 2nd floor. Not much about its ambience; it is small with few tables. We ordered chicken noodles, chicken shaptra, chicken thentuk, sweet corn soup and tingmo. I really enjoyed the shaptra it was pretty good. The other stuff were okayish and very average; the thentuk being my least favorite as it was very bland and lacked seasoning. The pricing is very nominal and the service is quick.
i had best and juicy momo there even noddles were also nice. it's great place for momos and valuse for money. last time i went in wrong time during tibet new year so places was closed.
Absolutely love the limited menu they have. A nice small place to grab a plate of momos or any of the dishes they have to offer. Light on pocket and worth every penny!
Must try: Shabakleb. Their beef dishes are exquisite. Also tried their momo thupka- mind blown. If you prefer red meat, do give their beef Shabakleb a try. If not, they have that in chicken too. Don't want to rate their ambience, give this place a try for your taste buds!
Do not come here for their ambience, but for the food. You can easily miss this place if not for somebody who has already been there and that's how I was introduced to this lovely place!
It is quite a compact place and might not get a table soon but the food is worth the wait. Their steamed chicken momos were the best i have had in bangalore and their sauce is pretty delicious too. It's fresh and oozing with deliciously steamed chicken!
This place is one of those small joints serving yummy Tibetan food..from tingmo to saptra, momo soups and thentuk ..all in all u don't expect a lot from this type of places regarding service n all but they keep surprising u with good food to gratify ur hunger..cheers π
Ambience :2/5
Taste:4.8/5
Price:5/5(a budget friendly restaurant and they always had changed for 2000 )
Overall: the food is really good , their beef momthuk and beef shabkaleb is a must try :)
Amazing place :)
A small tibetan food place opposite Tibetan Market on Brigade road..
Tried the chicken thukpa and was brilliant and homely..
The tingmo was steamy hot and fluffy n flaky and was taste wise subtle and complimented the veg shapta quite well..Overall an good place for a quick tibetan meal..

Best chicken momos, little bombs of delight. Am turning into a regular here. The owner is warm and always willing to help.
The tingmos and beef Shaptra are great too.
Tibet is getting closer than ever with the cropping of various Tibetian food joints like this one. A good place to dine in Brigade Road at a reasonable price though the ambiance is not very pleasing , i felt it was fine as the food was not so expensive. I loved the Beef Shapta with Tingmo and a must try is the Juicy "Beef Shabalay" (Deep Fried Momo). Β I have added this restaurant to my list of reasonable restaurants to eat when i'm Close to Brigade Road.Taste : 4/5, Ambiance : 3/5, Service 3.5/5 and Value for Money 4/5.
If you're in Bangalore and in search of some really good momos, you absolutely must give the Yak's Kitchen a try! I chanced upon this little Tibetan joint after it was recommended by a friend who's an ardent momo lover!
Tucked away on Brigade road, the eatery offers some traditional Tibetan dishes at very reasonable prices. We ordered a plate each of the Beef Khotey (steamed momos with a friend base) and chicken momos, both of which were juicy and full of flavor! The fiery chilli sauce served alongside complimented the dishes rather well. The Beef Shaptra, which is essentially a beef stir fry was quite flavorful, another preparation that I'd highly recommend!
Service here is efficient and prices very reasonable. The momos are surely going to keep me visiting often.
If it's momos you crave, then Yak's Kitchen definitely rates a visit. This is one of those places where it's all about the food, and ambience takes a backseat! Now don't set your tastebud's expectations to ''bowled over'', but the momos here are very good indeed.
We tried the steamed chicken momos, and the beef khotay. The latter was so scrumptious that we gave in to the temptation of ordering another plate. The prices are fairly low, and we walked out with our pockets lighter by just over three hundred rupees.
Awwsome food !
That mouth watering "momos" u should never miss it ..
Juicy chicken stemmed momos
I only go there to have chicken momos ...
ππππ²π
I'M LOVING MOMOS ππ
The noodles, momos and the pickles are very tasty!
This s a small outlet right opposite to Dubai plaza!
The momos are quite big and juicy
If you love Tibetan food , do visit this place!
Cheersπ»
Best momo and thukpa in the city. Being Tibetan myself, I visit yak kitchen at least once a week. This restaurant never disappoint my appetite for momo.
One would miss the 'yaks kitchen' unless looking towards the sky, which in brigade road is a difficult proposition π
The place is four flights up and the climb is worth it. It appears to be run by a family and pretty well too.
The items on the menu is limited but is adequate for a little Tibetan experience.
Ok.....the food. Momos were good the accompanying chilly sauce was probably toned down a little to suit Bangalore palates.
Thukpa, was a little insipid and required additional seasoning.
Though a notice says self service, dishes are served fast, in fact it was faster than fast food.
The place needs air-conditioning since the fans are woefully inadequate.
The quality and quantity for the price makes it worth it.
A small and sweet eatery located on the 2nd floor of the building at the end of the lane that houses Pecos, Le Rock, Guzzler's Inn on Brigade road. A very informal establishment, I must say as you won't have courteous waiters coming up to you and reading the menu and the specials and all that. You just go up to the counter and order stuff.
Beef shapta is a must try here, alongwith beef momos. We went for the dry version of the shapta. They make for great starters. Nothing extraordinary but worthy of returning to savour some more. Personally, I feel the beef could have a been a tad softer, nevertheless, the cooking was good and tasted great, with all the vegetables and the sauces. Beef momos were good, too.
Quantity of rice or noodles seemed pretty insufficient. But the shapta portion was good enough in quantitiy.
Prices are not worth pondering about, as they are really cheap.
The biggest drawback-time for service. It will take them ages to serve. So beware!!
Nothing more to say. A good restaurant for having only the side dishes and momos.
A must go to place in Bangalore if you wanna' eat momos..! They are really tasty.. And try their egg noodles too.. Would love to go back again soon.. Small place but food is yummy
This place really has some tasty momos everyone should try for. One of my favourite Chinese food oulet. Love the tibetan thukpa soup! Delicious Chinese noodles as well. I really don't look up for service and ambience at this place as it is so homely and cozy to dine out with friends.
I never knew about this place before, one of friend recommend me, and i guess i got perfect spot for meal. and you know what i have just taste momo over here and it was like so damn juicy and tasty, rest of other food is good too like tingmo is so soft with large enough along with beef shapta and you can also experience various kind of tasty tibetan traditional thukpa and shapalay is rich in taste too. and if you are momo lover and looking for some mouth watering momo than you knock down at right place. Best juicy momo in whole town and will highly recommend you to taste momo over here just once, am pretty sure it will make you come back. Simply mouth watering momo...

Nice place to have Northeastern/Tibetan cuisine...small,clean,hygienic and economic
Not much on the ambience.. Service is a little on the slower side but worth waiting, that's what i feel ..if u like to have Tibetan/Northeastern food just give it a visit
Ambience - 3.5/5
Food - 4/5
Service - 3/5

Definitely one of the better Tibetan restaurant's in Bangalore. Gives me a feeling of being back at home!! Not to bad on the pocket too if you need to treat someone.
With our office in rest house road I rest my case :) , just kidding....
It's was a pleasant evening at Bangalore.... ahem! I will get to the point me and a colleague tried the place out. We ordered chicken and veg momos. There were good and that's it. Nothing fancy about the place but a decent place to crash in for a bite.
ended up at this place by accident while searching for a restaurant near my office for lunch. The food is yummy and they have a wide variety of Tibetan for that I can't even pronounce. I tried something called thenghak (if I'm not wrong) it was a black bean based rectangular noodle surely something I have never tried before and I loved it. They are quite economical.

Juiciest dumplings in town. You haven't eaten anything if you haven't eaten the dumplings here. I recommend the beef dumpling and at least take your friends to this place even though the ambience isn't there at all.. You surely won't be disappointed by the dumpling...
Another famous nagaland food court... Had beef saptra n tingmo... I recommended plenty of my friends... Loved the fast food centre...........
The "steamed chicken momo " is so juicy and flavourful... everytime i go to yaks i eat atleast 2 plates of their momo s cause its so yum ... Although there has been a change in the staff and their service hasnt been that great of late
Been here countless times and the place never failed to amaze me!
One does not have to come here expecting bells and linen table cloth although the food would deserve it.
Unforgettable remain the momos, the best I've tasted so far throughout the subcontinent. Next I recommend anything served in a bole...
And don't be surprised if you have to wait outside until a table gets free - the place is hardly a secret anymore!
Don't let the size fool you, the restaurant is worth your time.
Yes, the hygiene is questionable, but I can assure you the food is anything but.
Situated in the corner of brigade road, actually opposite Tibetian mall to be exact, Yak's kitchen proves to be the perfect pocket friendly Chinese/Tibetian done on that side of brigade road.
The size of their tingmo (which is a big fluffy bread made up of white flour) is the biggest I have ever seen! And coupled with a chicken dish, it is the perfect budget meal.
The only thing I wish this place said attention to, was the cleanliness of their tables and restrooms. But hey, considering the crowd and how busy it always is, the food here always gives the people something to come back to.
But since I am a big hygiene freak, the lack of cleanliness made me twitch in rating.
Luckily the food made up for it.
One thing that comes to mind whenever I think of this place is: Good food at pocket-friendly prices. The food, needless to say is very authentic. Be it the beef shaptra or the noodles, the food is always good, and freshly made. This makes a lot of difference for me. But one thing that I keep coming back here for is the deliciously juicy fried momos.Β
Its a self-service place. Its clean and the people are also friendly. Sometimes, I have had to wait for almost 15 mins, before I got my food. But the food is worth the wait.Β
Love this place!
I have been a regular visitor to his place in Brigade road, a very friendly on pocket place.
They serve the juiciest momos in town and are experts in other Tibetan dishes.
The visit that I made yesterday got me a little disappointed, they seem to have changed their recipes or ingredients or cooks, it was not the usual amazing food.
Hope to visit again and get the same old taste back.
Awsome tibetian cusine is whats in your mind.. yak kitchen is the place you should look for. Good tibetian food. Light on your wallet. Noodles and momos are a must try. The best part for northeastern amigos is that you get non veg pickle and bamboo shoots out there for retail.
Yak kitchen is a good alternative to the pricey food outlets and restaurants that litter Brigade Road/Church St. It is almost easy to miss on the road that houses Le Rock and Bikers and Guzzlers.
This is a pure VFM place to eat and one should not expect a fine dining experience or taste that you can write home about. Momo's are probably the best item on the menu. They also have my fave Shaptra on the menu but I was not as impressed by their version of it as compared to what I had at Momo Hut, Koramangala. We also tasted their noodles which was a little too oily even by fast food standards.
To summarize I would stick to their momo and shaptra with tingmo but might give the noodles a miss. We did not try their fried rice so cannot comment on that.
Guys if u are looking for some affordable price Yak's Kitchen is the spot....Food is really good...especially beef momo and thukpa luv it...
Momo, Thukpa/Gyathuk is my traditional dish and I ended up in Yak kitchen on my sister's suggestion. The food is exactly how its suppose to be. I will go to this place over and over again. Not sure why so many negative review...
Best Tibetan food served that too with little pinch in the pocket.. Self serve so help yourself.. Only low point is small dining space. So have to wait in queue for a place.
I reached this place while searching for a pocket friendly Chinese/Tibetan restaurant which runs throughout the day. Was quite hungry around 4:30 in the evening and found this place. It is located on Rest House Road.Β
You can't expect much on the ambiance. It is decent, clean and quite hygienic. A pretty small place. It is located on the 3rd floor.Β
The service is good and quick. They are friendly as well.
We ordered Steam Momos, Cheese Momos and Chowmein. Good portions of food is served. The Momos were yummy. The chowmein was also nice.
It is a pocket friendly restaurant. So no problems with the price.Β
Overall Experience :

Budget friendly and authentic food! Fried momos are the best!! Will surely visit again. Look forward to more no of outlets around bangalore!
I had been to this place with a friend. He was supposed to treat me and so we picked a cheap place. Well! The ambience of the restaurant isn't that great. You can actually see the kitchen. It has very plain interiors and not at all gauzy chairs and tables. Coming to the food, we ordered chicken noodles. It was so okay! It surpassed my expectations actually. We also ordered Thukpa there which was pretty decent. I won't be biased towards the restaurant as I myself belong to the North East. I have eaten far better Chinese-Tibetan food in my life. Anyways, these guys are doing a good job and hope they do even better in the near future
the place is excellent for young guys with a bit less heavy pocket, and yet it stands out great, the tingmo (bread) and the dish they call "shaptra"( i am not sure about the spelling) is superb. it i very good for non-vegeterians within the budget and if you want to take 25 off your classmates out for a treat, this is the place you would like to go. staff is friendly, you need to give them a call and they will book it for you. over all its nice and you would always remember it as one of the places straight out of the college life.
Great food and provides varities. Cleaner than others and best of all home style food
Food 10/10
Service 10/10
Ambiance 10/10
The foods were exceptional...
Would definitely recommend this place for Pain Asian food.
The only draw back is the washroom, which they need to maintain it.
Overall it was a really good experience.
Very friendly staff who helped explain the dishes to us, quick service, great taste, wide Asian variety, stench free good ambiance. Overall good value for money .
Thought of trying something different at a different place.
Was kind of disappointed with the food.
Coming to the interiors, lovely. Beautiful interiors, no doubt. Cozy too.
Service is very good, kind and supportive.
Slightly slow though.
But youβre entering a restaurant to eat and not for cozy interiors.
Cost is okayish taking into account everything.
Just a one off place. Wonβt be returning.
You guys have your own wish to visit or not.
The food was really good n tasty . We ordered egg drop soup. Fish crumb. Kimchi noodles n chicken in chilli basil sauce. All were really tasty . Thank u Yak kitchen
The food is amazing here. Super super tasty. I first came to this place an year back and now we come here at least once every month. The noodles, momos, tingmos, rice, ramen, everything is very very tasty. I highly recommend this place. ππ
Food is authentic. Taste is not extraordinary. Ambience is great. Service is slow.
The food is unreal. Must try in blr. First time here and I was instantly impressed by the quantity, quality and presentation.
Tried Veg steamed Momos, Veg fried Momos, Honey Chilli Potato, chilli garlic fried noodles and Veg Thukpa.
The Honey Chilli Potatoes were really spicy and chilli garlic fried was just amazing. Loved the steamed Momos much better than fried momos.
And the Thukpa was just soothing.
The real hidden gem, recommended by my friend and I really liked everything that I ordered here. The food was good and the prices were also reasonable.
Chicken Thupka was very tasty, flavourful. Tempura sushi roll was good.
Foood is awesome here as expected with freshly prepared on time and the spice level is good ππ»π₯ . Service is pretty good and the atmosphere is awesome . You can have space to enjoy your meals here .
Nice and cosy place with yummy Asian cuisine. They have good choice of food option.this is on 3rd floor..so parking has to be taken care by own. Have to park somewhere bon brigade road .
I was searching for Tibetan food around & found this through google. Tried Tibetan thukpa, Spicy Ramen, Kimchi salad. Every dish was yummπ
Whenever I get opportunity to explore MG Road, Brigade road, I end up visiting this place.
Everything was beautiful and delicious will come with my mon one day
Among the dishes I have had here, Ema datshi with rice and Tingmo was absolutely delicious.
Food is amazing....my favourite place to dine as always
