Calm ambience with good food. Perfect place when you want to enjoy the food peacefully...Had vegetarian soup, appetisers, noodles and gravy.
Good food and main course is reasonable price and quantity as well. We ordered veg fried rice, schezwan noodles, veg American chopsuey and ball manchurian. Everything was good and a decent meal overall.
Ordered food from beyond China!
Order -veg noodles, soup and veg manchurian
Taste-Noodles and soup tasted good!but the manchurian tasted a lil sweet, may be coz they use some sweet sauce, but it wasn't exceptionally good! But still edible though😀
I will prefer ordering from this place again!😊
The restaurant is at one far end of 12th main and I guess that's one of the reasons it gets overlooked; Whenever I was there, we were the only table being served. Nothing much about the ambience - they've converted a bungalow into restaurant (I liked being there coz of the Queens, RHCP that they played). Generally, most of the Chinese/Thai restaurant waiters have the easiest way to explain the recipe to you - 'less spicy/medium spicy/spicy'. That's one of welcome surprises you get here - waiter really knows the recipe and even recommends the best accompaniments. Gravy and dishes taste really good but mind you, they're all Indianized Chinese ( I wonder how many Indians would really like authentic Chinese). The best part about the food, they don't leave you with a bad after taste. If you're looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the area that won't burn a hole in your pocket, don't look any further.
Nice ambiance, the service is good and I liked everything of Beyond China from looks of the restaurant to the taste of it.
Affordable prices, but the quantity is a bit low. They take no compromise in their quality of food.
Visited couple of times, have had their sizzlers, satays and other starters. quality of ingredients is lot better compared to chung wah and other similar places. The portions are quite filling as well. But one area which needs to be looked on - you cant charge me Rs. 215++ for a small portion of fried icecream!! that says why this place was almost empty even on a friday evening!!
Being in IndiraNagar, we thought of having some Wok, since this place has some of the best restaurants in the city. We found this place - Beyond China wok and grills, a quite but a very warm oriental style restaurant which is like very nicely done. To begin with, we were told that this place doesn't serve wok, as the name suggested. Though, we were slightly disappointed, we settled down and ordered some ala- carte Thai food. We requested for Green Thai curry, burnt garlic rice and basil Thai noodles. And to our delight, the food was simply scrumptious. The quantity was generous too. We had absolutely zero complaints with any of the food items.
Would definitely recommend this place for oriental food.
The food here is lovely and they have quite the variety on their menu. I like the baos especially. The decor is quite nice and it helps that you can find a quiet corner to enjoy your meal.
Very good food.
Liked almost everything we ordered.
You get what you pay for...
Home delivery experience was also good.
Worth a try.
Menu is much better than other Chinese restaurants.
Amazing Food & I was lucky to find this place in Indiranagar as I simple love Chinese Food. The Main Course is just fantastic in Beyond China so kindly try the Pan Noodles with Chicken in Chilly oyster Sauce or the Veg butter Garlic Noodles with Shredded Chicken in Garlic Sauce. Also, the staff is extremely courteous & it is always fun to talk with Sheeban, Saaquib or Zaid whenever placing an order with Beyond China.
Good Luck to my favorite restaurant in Indiranagar & Cheers as always!
A small and nicely decorated outfit. I went there for a Saturday dinner & ordered barbeque zucchini and weeping tiger. The meat was nicely cooked n properly presented. As the name depicts, the weeping tiger was too spicy n tasted best. The veggies n rice were occupying more space. The sauces they provided were ordinary. Toppings were okay. Staff were courteous. It was not fully occupied during my visit. Can give it a try again to try their other dishes.
It's a beautiful little restaurant with nice and very homely decor. That's the first impression as I entered and settled at a table. Dark mahogany furniture, nice little decorative pieces on the walls and ceiling, a stairway going upstairs, arched doorways.....the whole place looks like a house and is an ideal place for a quite and fulfilling family meal. (See the photos of the interior.)
FOOD-- we asked for chicken tai-pei and crispy chicken salad for starters and followed that up with an oriental fish sizzler.
The chicken tai-pei was nice and pleasant and sweet to taste -- more American than Chinese really. But it tasted really good. Nice starter if you are not looking for something spicy.
The salad was nice with crispy fried noodles and a dash of sweetness thanks to the vinegar mix.
The sizzler was also good but I'd recommend a larger serving size. The fish was tender and didn't have a surfeit of black bean sauce. We opted for rice in the sizzler but they a noodles option too.
Overall -- the food is quite far from anything chinese (customized indo-chinese) but VERY tasty nonetheless. And that's what matters to me.
I was searching for a chinese restaurent as an alternative to chungs - indiranagar and thats when i stumbled upon Beyond china. I should say thay i am pleasently surprised. Its a low profile chinese restaurent on 80 ft road and definitely worth a visit. The rates are reasonable and would cost about 600 for 2. The interiors are done well and the staff here are really courtious.
Better Chinese food than other Chinese restaurants around the area. Good seating, My regular place to eat Chinese as it suits the pocket as well. Overall a decent place to have cool and chill dinner.
Good food and service.
It is hard to find good Chinese or Thai food which is not indianized version of it. Beyond China serves authentic food, generous portions and, most of all, service is very good and professional.
Amazing Authentic Chinese food! Great value for money! This is my 'go to' Chinese restaurant & I always leave the place with a satisfied stomach and a smile on my face!
I have been to this place ample of times and it was high time a left a review!
I rate this place as such:
Food: 4.5/5
Ambience: 3.5/5
Service: 5/5
I was the one of first diners these people served, along with a friend! And I love how this place treats us patrons! First class service, every single time we are at Beyond China!
Their soups are really light and delectable at your palette. And instead of telling you what all we've had savoured here, I will mention my favs . - Lemon Pepper, Golden Garlic & Bok choy.
The appetizers and salads here are all to die for! Very authetic Chinese/Oriental or Thai as their names would suggest and it is hard to pick one that would stand out the most.
Their grills are again fantastic and never burned, which is great because their service is always quick!
The rice/noodles/stir fries are great again - it is best to pick the same origin and style of cooking to combine when ordering a combo.
Lastly, the desserts are authentic Chinese - our favs being the Chinese Fried Ice Cream and Dar Saan!
A must to checkout place if you like Chinese and Chinese that is not priced over the top.
A house which s turned into a resto , I usually don prefer , swiping machine dint work b4 I faget ordered fa a veg Tom yum unfortunately fish based soup was served really dissapointed but the starters Chinese as well oriented was a thumsup .
Beyond China is a lovely place to dine at with family and friends. Visited the place with friends for a Christmas dinner last evening and the experience was relaxing and nice. We tried a variety of dishes and enjoyed the food and service thoroughly. Nestled in a quaint little corner on 6th main of the 100 feet road in Indira Nagar, the place offers fairly priced Chinese food. We had three soups: a chicken hot and sour, a Tom yum soup, and a veg sweet corn soup. For most part, I thought the soups were very nicely flavored. Just that the Tom yum had an overdose of lemon grass in it.
For starters we tried the Dragon Chicken. It comes in decent proportion and tastes lovely. It has a nice tangy taste and is well flavored. For the main course we tried the Beyond China salad which was wholesome. We also tried the chicken steamed rice with Cantonese sauce and I thought this was delicious as well.
The service was exceptional and over all, a time very well spent with some lip smacking food! Impressive. :)
Was looking for Chinese eat-outs in Indiranagar and found this nice place in Indiranagar.
Over food tastes really well (except for one Red Thai curry) and the serving size is more than decent. Since this is a house converted to restaurant, so the inside seating is not that great. Balcony seating on the 1st floor is really good.
If the price was a notch down, then this place would be a real big hit.
Nice place with pleasant ambience. The place is suitable for a romantic dinner without an hole in your pocket. The food was just OK except for the Chicken dragon which I really liked. I would visit again to explore more on the menu.
I ordered takeaway from this place. They're one of the few authentic chinese and pan asian restaurants around indranagar. Most restaraunts served spiced up indian versions. But my dishes certainly seemed authentic enough. Also the items seemed well made, light and not chock-full of artifical umami flavouring. Definitely a great deal! The asparagus in my chicken dish was good too, soft mostly, asparagus being a tricky dish to cook perfectly I was satisfied. Also for the price I was surprised that unlike other similar joints they didn't skimp at all on quantity. For home delivery a good deal!
NB: Wouldn't order lemongrass though. The flavouring was great but the lemongrass itself was a little difficult to eat, seemed over-ripe and had to separated from the dish it was in.
Excellent food.. Warm and courteous service.. The best grill I ever had.. I had grilled meat and chicken across the world.. But the mixed grill I had here rates the best

+3.5
Food is nothing exceptional. It's good, but very standard from a Chinese restaurant.
The ambience on the other hand is lovely. Being away from the main road makes it very quiet and peaceful. Couple that with the cool Bangalore breeze and you've got yourself a lovely dinner at the balcony tables.
I found this place very good.. I have spent my marriage anniversary here... Good food, service and staff..
If you want to eat yummy noodles and chilly chicken - one which you used to savour back home... Plus value for Money. This is the place to be. Worth a try folks.
Great food. Reliable home delivery service. Like it!!
Try their Tom Kha soup with Shrimps. Its unbelievably tasty. Nice quiet place, courteous waiters, fast serving. Good place for a dinner.
Always order LESS! Yeah, you saw it correct. Order less. One portion of fried rice is enough for 3 (medium-hungry) people. So is their Penang Curry. Actually the curry can be had by 4. Good stuff.
Chinese,Thai and Vietnamese cuisine all under one roof. Beautiful flavors. And reasonably priced for the quality of food
I'm coming to Beyond China from the US, there we have Chinese restaurants, but nothing authentic i.e. the fortune cookie. Beyond China was an amazing experience and I would recommend this to anyone traveling. It's very clean, western restroom, and beautiful layout. The food is authentic and delicious, I intend to bring clients there in the future. The staff is professional and luckily for me, they were able to work with the varying degrees of hot. My tastes can't support the higher numbers. Enough talking about it, get in a taxi.
Nice service. Decent food and a mid range restaurant.
Recently I happened to visit Beyond China for a weekend dinner with my extended family and I must say that it was a very good experience in terms of finding a place with a good ambiance, great food and friendly service. The fact that they had a menu which could cater to almost everyone's taste in our rather large group was a big plus. We went for sizzlers and noodles and though all the dishes were good the Crackling Chicken deserves a special mention.
If you are expecting a flashy noisy place its not,
it’s a house converted to a hotel, Decent interiors with options to sit in room or terrace. I normally choose terrace….for me food is more important than ambiance to go again,
I had been here 3 times, and after trial and error I have found my options and I kind of liked Beyond China.
a. The restaurant serve Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese and Malaysian.
b. For Soup : LEMON CORIANDER SOUP ; HUNAN WOH TOH ; TALU MAI SOUP
c. Starter : i liked their DIMSUM, WONTONS (steamed ones than Fried ones) - dont waste time on salads / crispier.
d Must Try : GRILLS are amazing than appetizers - i have tried all of them.
e Must Try : SIZZLERS are really unique my favorite BEYOND CHINA SPL SIZZLER / WEEPING TIGER
f. Main Course : We wanted to try a Thai, Chinese so we ordered SICHUAN PRAWN CURRY, MASSAMAN CURRY, SING HOI POTATO CURRY, STIR FRY STAW MUSHROOMS
e. Rice / Noodles : I always order veg Rice / Noodles - less wastage and both Veg / non Veg friends can eat – I suggest 3 that blend with any gravy well MEE GORENG (Malaysian fried noodles), PAN FRID NOODLES, THAI FLAT NOODlES.

A reasonable joint for Chinese food.
Pros:
1. Good menu with a range of try-outs
2. Nice ambience, though the balcony seating can be quite dusty
3. Decent service
Cons:
1. Food quality varies on each visit
Must haves:
Cantonese mushroom soup / any soup, Chow-mein. Have not tried non-vegetarian dishes.
USP:
Fried icecream with a sprinkling of fried sesame and honey. Heavenly!
Final words: Definitely a must try place. Almost on par with Beijing Bites.
Today we ordered the Food and it came on time neatly packed in Eco friendly bag and Taste , quantity was perfect
We would recommend to all and also the Dishes tasted Good
It was a Saturday evening and was looking for another different place to go to, was a little weary to go to Beyond China after reading through the mixed reviews about this place, but still did go there and was pleasantly surprised, lets start with the place, very simple but elegant, excellent combination of colours and bamboo, that little touch of Chinese, a very warm welcome at the entrance, we were asked whether we would like to sit indoors or outdoors, preferred the outdoors which was the right choice, all the staff were very friendly and polite, we started with a something to drink and loved the chilled coconut, just natural. Since we were a group of 8 we decided to have a combination of soups, lemon coriander soup was amazing, manchow was even better, ying yang was excellent and the golden garlic was, just wanted lots more but decided against as all the horrendous reviews (in specific Abhijit and Preeti) about this place just took a back seat and we wanted to get on with our excellent meal which is as below, we then went on to check out some appetizers, Sichuan grilled fish and grilled prawns impressed us as far away from the coast fresh and yummy sea food, crispy conjee lamb was great and the nam prik chicken was to die for, we did want to order for more starters but the wait staff did inform us about the portions being pretty good and rightfully took their advice, for the main course we had a thai sizzler in veg and were impressed, steamed rice and massaman curry in fish to end it all was just mouth watering. We were offered to try out some dessert but kept that for another day. Definitely a place I would keep going back to as they do have an extensive menu and would like to try more of their stuff. Highly recommended. The thing to improve upon is in the outdoor seating as we did mention to them is a mosquito problem.
loved the beyond china sundae it was awesome......
Noticed this place recently on Zomato and since we have to try out all new oriental joints in the neighborhood...added this to my wishlist !
Got an opportunity to go there for a quiet lunch with my better half...
Checked out the directions on google maps and figured this is right at the beginning of the 6th main road when entering from 80 ft road.
Ambience : Seems to be a large place with multiple seating options downstairs and upstairs...a house converted into a restaurant. Nicely done interiors...liked the artificial bamboo plants...we chose a table right near the entrance with a view to the street. Looks very much like an up market fine dining joint..
Food : Noticed they have an extensive menu with starters, salads, soups, stir fries, gravy/curry dishes, rice and noodles, sizzlers, grilled dishes and finally desserts...A dapper menu which opens up from two sides !
Anyways since this was our first visit and just two of us...decided to stick to veggie food.
We like Siu Mai very much..but here they only had it in non-veg. Finally ordered veg steamed momos and stuffed mushrooms for starters.
Veg Steamed Momos : 8 in a portion...nice soft..fresh...full of flavours. But the dip/sauce they gave with it was burning hot..it numbed my taste buds for sometime and had to have loads of water before i regained any taste.. I think they need to tone down on that..and at least provide 2 sauces with it. Minus points for the sauce !
Stuffed Mushrooms : again 8 medium to large sized stuffed mushrooms. Very different from what we expected..filling very similar to the momos...not sure if there was also some mashed potato in their...covered with sesame seems on the top. Nice..but the dip with the momos had already numbed my taste buds..so had to down a couple of them before i got a taste. Was nice...but we've had better stuffed mushrooms elsewhere
For mains i wanted to try out the sizzlers and the grills but then parked those aside for another visit. Since we were already pretty stuffed with the starters just ordered a rice and a side dish.
Egg wrapped veg manchow rice : Veg fried rice nicely covered with a thin omelette...the rice itself was slightly sour..i think due to some vinegar...it grows on you as my wife commented...but did not grow enough for me...;-)...I'd say above average
Veggies and Tofu in Spicy Black bean sauce : Now this was good...but the black bean sauce was fairly concentrated and slightly sour (not sure if they are using some sort of bottled black bean sauce with preservatives which give it the sour taste)..anyway i liked this much better than the rice...lots of bok choy, veggies like broccoli, carrots, baby corn...
Overall food was good...but would like to try out some more dishes next time and then update my review if needed.
Service was ok...i felt the waiters need to know more about their dishes...and guide the customers better. When asked what is better they immediately suggest the run of the mill stuff like veg balls..etc..It think they need to improve a tad bit more if they are really aiming to be a fine dining restaurant !
All of this came to 926 bucks...for 4 dishes...i think this is slightly on the expensive side...maybe just below mainland china...and more than china pearl..
Overall rating : 3.5/5
Ambience : 4/5
Service : 3/5
Food : 3.5/5
VFM : 3/5
This centrally well located restaurant serves my favourite food - food from the far east ! their nam prik prawns , green curry and steamed rice are to die for. The ambience is lovely, excellent service and location. Enjoyed every bit ! Keep up the standard

Very Good food..

Great taste, beautiful ambiance, personal care. Well located with ample parking. Must advertise more to make the foodies aware to the new eat out.
Chef Saaqib was so accommodating with our last minute request for a private party order & the food was delivered bang on time. To start with, the food was absolutely delicious … The kebabs were Juicy & the Biriyani was authentic & flavourful. The Chicken Samosas & chicken cutlet were mouthwatering. The vegetarian dishes were equally good. Highly recommend this home based cloud kitchen, if you are looking for clean, delectable food!
P.S. Their accompaniment , the hot & sweet pickle is to die for!
I have ordered a couple of takeaways from here. Super customer service and prompt response to queries and requests. And the food is nice nice. The veg and chicken cutlets are a family favourite. The combo meals are value for money. Love their meat fry (chilly and pepper) and oh, the pickle they sell is fantastic too- dates with lemon- makes for a great sandwich spread or wrap filling condiment. Almost like a chutney.
I had the pleasure of experiencing the delightful Bhatkal cuisine at Big Daddy Kitchen, a hidden gem of a home-based cloud kitchen in Bangalore. The flavors and authenticity of the food are truly exceptional. Saaqib Musba, the passionate chef and owner, adds a personal touch that makes the dining experience extraordinary. The taste of each dish takes you on a journey to the coastal town of Bhatkal. From the fragrant biryanis to the delectable seafood preparations, every bite is a testament to Saaqib's dedication and expertise. I can't recommend Big Daddy Kitchen enough; it's a five-star experience that transports your taste buds to the heart of Bhatkal.
We ordered for authentic Bhatkali cuisine to be catered for a private party. Saaquib (the chef) created magic with his cooking. All those who ate the food are still reminiscing the experience. Needless to say, we’d be ordering the delicious food regularly from here.
Every time I have ordered from Saqib it has been an excellent experience, in terms of taste, timeliness and choice. He is my go to for most ocassions...and sometimes just for a quick family meal too. The non veg dishes are of course yumm but the veg is super too. My weakness are his veg mini rolls and ghee roast prawns,. Thank you Saqib and Team...
At Big Daddy's you get a personalised menu made to perfection to your taste. Have tried the vast range of Pan Asian food, Indian & especially the Bhatkali cuisine.. each 👌🏼
Absolutely delicious, homestyle coastal cuisine that’s freshly prepared and reasonably priced.
BDK also offers some unique, authentic and traditional dishes that are hard to find at restaurants — eg. their Bhatkali-style prawn vermicelli biryani is simply outstanding.
Definitely recommended!
Some of the best biryani I’ve ever had ! Subtle unique flavours , yummy accompaniments and timely delivery . Extremely professional and always lovely to interact with Mr Saaquib . Thank you for all the great food !
One of the best places to cater from, if you’re hosting a meal at home. Do not think twice before ordering.
Vry tasty...one of the best biriyani I hv had
