Old world charm at it's best. If you're looking to chill with a cold beer and some delicious south indian cuisine, this is your place! Not too fancy, not too modern but very cosy old bangalore!
The beer on tap is undoubtedly the freshest and the best I've come across in Bangalore - packs the right bite and goes really well with the food, which one can write volumes about! The ambience is great with an awesome collection of music that's played at the right volume for you to converse and enjoy the music at the same time.
This is one of the few or probably the only pub to retain the old Bangalore charm. The perfect place to unwind and the hands on management ensure that!
Amazing place for live music and some good food. The ambiance feels great. The food tastes like typical Indian coastal food. I enjoyed every bit of it.
Best place to have grt food along with some good beer. The music is something few pubs these days have, good old blues and jazz.
Always been one of my go to places for a good coorgi mallu combo! Fish with peanut sauce and shredded beef are to die for! And the place just makes you feel like coming back every single time!!
The food at this place is OUT OF THIS FREGGIN WORLD.
The staff are super friendly. We even had the pleasure of meeting the chefs and even they are an absolute pleasure. Careful when you shake the big chef's hand though.. he doesn't know his own strength ;)
a true reflection of bangalore. good food, great beer, friendly people and awesome music. bangalore they way it was the way it is and the way it forever will be
Best food!! Amazing music!! Amazing beer!! In love with this place!!!
Nice place to chill out..go in week end u surely cannot forget the memory
Beer and beef :).
The staff here are awesome people, just get there and chill, they will take great care of you. Do try out all the dishes, some real gems in there.
After my first visit I planned another food date here but to my disappointment, it is closed. Coming back to my first experience and if I have to put it in a single word it will be "Amazing". There are two reasons for this, first because I didn't expect it to be so good on taste and second because it didn't put a dent in my wallet. All the dishes are tasteful and portions are also filling.
One of the best places.
I had been there twice. We had, Malabar chicken, appam and chicken, roasted beef, caramel custard.
It was soo good. Can never complain abothe food quantity nor the price. So yummy. Ambience and the music and the food nothing that i can complain about.
I used to go past this pub looking through the window with shows happening on a regular during the weekends.
Me and my wife decided to try this place out once. We walked in and were surprised to see how nice to ambience is and also how big the place really is. Looking at it from outside it seems like a small pub. But once you're in it's pretty huge!
We sat down and decided to get the Jalapeño bites and a veg sizzler. Both dishes arrived on time and tasted excellent.
Overall a wonderful experience and would like to highlight the staff was very courteous.
We came across Windsor pub on our way back and thought we would give it a try! The interiors are outstanding from the lighting to the walls, it all gives you a very soothing feeling. The staff took really really long to take down the order, feeling sluggish and wondering how the food was going to taste, we sat there patiently.
And finally we got our food. We had ordered for the following dishes
Lemon chicken: It had the basic chicken marinate curd and lemon which was deep fried and served with a dip that had hints of curd, lemon, and garlic. The presentation of the dish was nice. And it tasted great. There was a balance in flavour. Thankfully the lemon did not overpower the dish, rather it enhanced its taste.
Chicken and Egg kothu paratha: This is a famous Tamilnadu road side dish. Have tasted this a lot of times, it is basically the maida paratha which is cut into chunks and tosted with onions, egg, chicken and curry leaves. This tasted perfect ! Though the dish would look all messy, it will taste amazing. The curry leaves add to the whole flavour of the dish. This is again served with korma and fresh salad. The korma could have tasted slightly better as it had a bitter taste in the end.
Bang bang prawns: When the prawns arrived at our table it had a very pungent smell. The prawns were nicely cooked and the mix of red and green bell pepper with onions enhanced its flavour. I loved the way they chose rice papad as the base as it gave a crunch to the dish. Again what we were hating was the smell, high chances it was the oil used which causing the trouble.
Mutton korma with rice: You get the option of choosing your base we went ahead with rice. The mutton korma was flavourful, it was cooked in onion and tomato gravey, could also get the flavour of khas khas and coconut. What I did not like was the mutton was chewy. The rice served was perfectly steamed. Overall it was an average dish. As mutton was the main ingredient and the chewiness was just not right.
Overall we had a good experience. Just that you need to have a lot of patience as the staff is not very responsive
The best the best Mangalorean food I have had in Bangalore. One of the best place for a non veg foodie.. Good ambiance is something that adds on to your pleasure..
We went to have drinks with colleagues. Good place. Food is now better after windsor took over from imonkey. Has a dedicated smoking zone.
Well stocked bar.
Had a good time spent here.
Staff attitude is good & courteous.
Scrumptious food, amazing ambience, best music❤ Best place to go out on a date or with friends or even to sit alone and eat. We have tried Chilli Crab, Fish and Chips, Pomfret and Kingfish.
if you looking for a classic place around Indiranagar then this your your point to stop over. this lane is full of options but this stands apart from the rest of the Pubs. Staff is very courteous and very quick.
Awesome food. We ordered the mutton thali and the chicken thali.. Amazing taste. Was so full but couldn't stop eating Portions were also good. We also ordered chicken pasta in white sauce and chicken steak.. Everything was amazing. No complaints at all. It was my hubby s birthday and they gave us a gooey chocolate cake complimentary which was to die for. So glad that their quality hasn't dropped a bit since the last time I visited them in vasanthnagar. Overall wonderful experience!
We went here for brunch.. loved the ambiance... the interior looks really great... About the food we ordered mutton kurma and pork chops with appam and kerala porotta... both the curry’s were yumm.. a little over priced for the quantity but loved the place.
Perfect place for a brunch which I had been for.. the ambience is soothing and food is lip smacking...best known for sea food and for veggies the menu/options are equally good.. overall good ambience, good food
Went to this place for a lunch.
Eventhough it looks not that good from outside, once you get in It has a wonderful ambiance.
We were seated in the left. It was so cool.
We ordered beer and Mains.
PORK CURRY & CHICKEN KURMA
About the pork it was looking delicious with paratha. It had good quantity of pork and thick gravy. It was tasty. But had a sour taste.
Chicken kurma was served with Appam and that was the best combination ever. It tasted so good that we had to order rice to finish the Kurma.
overall.
Food- 4/5
Ambiance- 5/5
value for money- 3/5 ( bit pricy not worth 350 bucks)
service- 5/5
The lunch offering of the chicken thali is.perfect for a quick meal with a business associate.or a client. The meal is fresh and wholesome and the portions are perfect. The food is flavourful and delicious..wish they could add a soup and a salad and knock off the dessert!
Good place to hangout with friends. I ordered Chicken Mapas with Steamed rice for lunch. It was delicious. Presentation was simple and nice. Chicken was well cooked. Nice ambience.
I have few select places in Bangalore which I like to visit often and which are permanent on my general choice of restaurants and recommendation. So when I was recommended to visit Windsor pub with very high claims of great food, I really wasn't sure whether it was true or not. For before, certain acclaimed joints had failed almost miserably to live up to such claims and also my expectations.
But Windsor is a place that I will definitely ho back to solely because it has now made it to my list of places that will assuredly live up to my love of food. The decor was the way I like it, simplistic and clean with the walls done in white and brown furniture lit by warm lights lending an unusually cozy feel to the place.
I went with the Coorg Pork Fry for appetisers and it has to be one of the best varieties of pork I have tasted till date. The masala though was a bit too much but all can be forgiven in face of the succulent pork pieces and fat still sticking to the meat. Teamed with the Minty Mystic, a mojito like drink with a strong flavour of mint, the start off to my meal was pretty impressive in a way that made me really want to try out their other offerings.
For main course, I ordered the king fish steak served with rice, boiled vegetables and a type of sauce called the lemon butter sabayon. Two pieces of sea fish grilled to perfection and lathered with a generous portion of the thick creamy sauce was absolute heaven. It was priced at a whooping 600 bucks but worth the dent in your pocket.
The only disappointment was the caramel pudding for dessert which was more like warm brownie served with ice-cream.
I would definitely recommend visiting the place. Expect traditional coastal cuisine and beyond everything, enjoy the delicious delicacies they offer.
This is favourite place in Bangalore, I just can't leave this place after I enter ! One of the best interiors I ve seen lately! The crowd over here is always professional and elite class family! They are best for their costal cuisine! You get very yum prawns here! The staff here is very class! The best place for date and to celebrate! Cheers Windsor team
Delightful service, nice ambience, and generally excellent coastal food. We ordered a chicken bafat, prawn curry, lemon chicken, a salad, sannas, parathas and Appams. Let me start with the bafat, this is made from the quintessential spice mix found in Mangalorean Christian homes. It's generally super spicy and fiery red due to the number of red chillies that are ground into the masala. The bafat at Windsor was not a bafat at all, but it was a delicious chicken curry in a brownish sauce. We mentioned this to the waiter, but he was not able to help. The prawn curry was thick, creamy and went very well with the Appam and parantha. The lemon chicken was interesting, it was fried boneless chunks of chicken served with a lemon dipping sauce (kind of like an aoili). The Appams were great, but it was the sannas that went the best with the food. Service was prompt and very courteous, and I'd definitely like to visit again.
CoE: First visit at this location, paid for my food. As they are part of the Zomato Gold offer, we did not pay for 2 of the main course dishes, but paid for the other 2.
Where to start, this was a very pleasant surprise to us. We were searching for some new place to go for drinks & dinner and stumbled upon Windsor Pub. Firstly I should mention that the staff is polite and service is unbelievably fast. The food - it was the most scrumptious meal I've had in a while. Portions were very generous, perfect for sharing. I will highly recommend this place.
Wow what a night we spent the awesome food fabulous service.the service staff to good managed trained.got full privacy and service.thank you
This place has lost its charm, it’s not the same as the older Windsor pub. The decor and ambience is nice. The bungalow where this pub is now located, belonged to yesteryear’s cricketer and legend EAS Prasanna. The food is ok and a there is a larger choice of bottled beer. Somehow I was not able to adjust to the new look and feel, am still stuck in the Vasanth Nagar Windsor Pub. The service is ok and reasonably timely.

We'd been to this place to celebrate one of my friends Birthday. The ambiance is just amazing and it's very quiet. If you're going with family then it's a nice option. The menu has an influence of coastal cuisine, so you must have fish and pork dishes here. We had ordered non-veg platter, with prawns, chicken and pork. Which was amazing! Later we ordered appam and pork curry, which was perfect in terms of taste and quantity. I would like to visit this place again.
My Rating (out of 5):
Taste: 4.5
Ambiance: 5
Service: 4.5
Value for money: 4
Had an office party at this place and it turned out to be a beautiful evening. You've got some quality coastal food in here. I particularly loved the peppery squid rings, chicken bafath and chicken mapas. I'm not a great fan of vegetarian dishes, however, the tangy shallots gravy is a must try. We tagged the gravies along with some soft and crispy parota. Amazing combo. The ambience is warm and soothing. If you're looking for a peaceful, not-so-loud place in Indiranagar for a nice dinner with drinks, this is the place to be.
Beautiful interiors. Friendly staff and good service. Delicious food and beverages. Definitely a place to visit on a date. Must try cannelloni, bull dog and cape cod sunrise.
The legendary Windsor pub that has been in Vasanth Nagar for 22 years has now moved to Indra Nagar. A welcome move as its much closer to me, Windsor pub now comes with a fully stocked bar as well. We walked in and were asked for a smoking or non - smoking section, nice idea separating the both.
We ordered a few Bira's to start with and the food followed soon after. Our order :
> Pepper Squid Rings
> Pomfret Recheado
> Black water Fried Meat
> Egg Appams & Plain Appams
The food i am happy to report is as good. Everything we ate was out of this world. Loved it !
The service too needs a mention. Very few places in Blore still boast of old school hospitality. Windsor pub is one of them. From the servers to the manager, everyone was involved , polite and service was quick and very efficient. I am definitely coming back for more, i won't be content till i try each and every (NV) dish on the menu !
Great going guys, thank you for a wonderful experience.
Definitely not a lunch place in case pub lunches are your thing. Went here on a weekend afternoon and we were the only ones there. Good setting though, warm, bright and spacious in a repurposed bungalow (used to be cricketer EAS Prasanna’s home). Excellent service, probably because of a sparser crowd that afternoon, but we didn’t complain when the delicious curry leaf chicken arrived in a jiffy. The music could’ve been better though - EDM does not go well with the place, that too in the afternoons. Okay place if you want to grab a drink and get out.
It was quick evening bite. The ambience was warm and welcoming. The golden friend prawn was more soft than crispy as expected. Ceylon Egg and kheem paratha is worth a shot, it was delicious. I would love to visit the place to try the other dishes and experience the warm service again :)
Formerly "I&Monkey", this place "used to be" my favourite in the whole of this city! They had the best continental food - chicken steaks, pastas and a great array of wines and creative cocktails. Ambiance was elegant and service polite.
I do not know how this place came to be known as "Windsor Pub" and why. As all it did, was left me with disappointment. I visited it once after that - food being mostly dominated by coastal and south indian flavours, and the restaurant thus lost its earlier charm. And I haven't visited it since.
Four points is majorly accredited to "I&Monkey" with a few decimals being thrown for Windsor Pub, as the food still reflected effort and apart from the much hated current menu, the other factors remained unchanged.
We visited this place on a Friday night. It is situated on the busy 12th main. The place has a classy decor in a large area. This is a bungalow converted into a restaurant and they serve great coastal flavours since 1991. I was pleasantly surprised that this place belonged to EAS Prasanna so it was great pleasure dining at his residence. The place is great for family dinners and for large groups specially for people who want a serene ambience over dinner. They play great music and have the area divided into a smoking and no smoking zone.
For food we ordered bang bang prawns and grilled bbq chicken wings. You will be awed by the portions they serve. Every dish is more than enough for three people. I also ordered a mystic mint from their mocktails section and it was amazing. Bang bang prawns were amazing, it had the perfect flavours and the chicken were also very juicy and succulent. I loved every bite. Service was excellent. Drinks are a bit pricey here and we ended up spending 1.8k for two ppl.
Very peaceful old styled fine dinning
Very relaxing and pleasant ambience
Good place for family dinning as well
The food is really amazing, must try the sea food
Prawn 🍤 squid rings cooked in traditional style is such a delight for taste buds.
Would surely visit again 😃
While waiting for the salon appointment across the road, we thought of checking out the Windsor pub on Sunday around lunch time. Although, I have frequented this stretch of the road, somehow this one never caught my attention. Then I read their board which mentioned that they had relocated from Vasanth Nagar - I still don't know when.
Anyhow, it's a very peaceful, old style, comfortable fine dine restaurant with aesthetically designed interiors. The wooden flooring, soothening light rock music, skylit front section and an inside sitting area with more privacy - all of that makes you really comfortable. Would give 4/5 for the ambience as it's my kind of peaceful dining place.
Next, extremely courteous and always smiling staff that is perfectly suited for a family place like this. They hardly make any sound while serving or clearing the table and from order to arrival things happened at a good speed too. Both the captain and the table boy took feedbacks at the right times and acted accordingly. It's a 5 on 5 for their service.
As for food, we had one each of chicken, fish and beef varieties along with couple of beers and my pick of the day was backwaters meat fry (Keralites would die for that) and crackling curry leaves chicken - both appetizers. For the main course, we had the Kerala special Kappa - Fish curry. Kappa was really very good, while the fish curry (with some coconut scraps floating in it and too much of pepper settled at the bottom) wasn't exactly what I was looking for. It still tasted good but way too thin and spicy. At 500 bucks it wasn't exactly cheap although Seer fish is expensive. For accompanying Kappa, they can probably think of cheaper fish varieties.
Nevertheless, my rating food is 3.5+ / 5
By the way, there was decent portion of salads with each dish and hence we didn't have to order any veggies or salad separately.
And as for VFM. Our bill for two meat starters, Fish curry - Kappa, two beers, a bottle of water was 1800/-. This was inclusive of 10% service charge which we were glad to give for the excellent service. Overall, the value for money would be 3.5 / 5 for me.
Verdict: Great place for family lunch or dinner. Very pleasantly set up place and excellent food and staff. Most drinks are priced right too. My family will definitely go back to the Windsor pub.
(Most photos are clicked after gobbling some portion in a hurry. Sorry for that)
Food is homily and tasty.
Service is hospitable and at a good pace.
Ambience is pleasant and inviting.
Vegetarian options can have more variety.
Deserts are scrumptious.
I particularly love the crowd. Mature and relaxed! This allows for easy conversation:)
On the whole, very worth a visit!
The Windsor pub has been around ever since my parents were young and would go to pubs in Bangalore.
This is a place that likes to keep it simple, with their no-fuss and simple drinks and homely food. When it temporally shutdown we wonder what would happen & where would it open. Very recently I visited the new Windsor pub and I was pleasantly surprised! The new place is charming and makes for a good evening setting.
The menu is more or less as it used to be with some additions, especially in the Cocktail menu. Service is great, the food is good as ever - we ate the Stuffed mushrooms, Jalapeno bites and Chilli Cheese crostini and enjoyed the Cottage cheese sizzler, and to drink I had a Caprioska and a Cosmo.
Thumbs up to the new place and looking forward to going again.
Very nice dining place
Ambience- very classy
Food - really tasty
Fish curry rice and coriander chicken was superb.
Service- great
Keep up the good job guys
Food:8/10

Want to have a sumptuous English breakfast which starts with bread toast and followed by chicken sausage, crispy bacon, smashed egg, hash browns, pancake with honey & much more in a great ambience which is also value for money & is located at a happening place like Indira nagar then Windsor pub is the right choice.....i can give 👍👍👍👍out of 5 to this place.....Windsor Pub
The place has a nice ambience. The food is really good and reminded me of home but a bit fancy :). The service was proper , the cocktails and wine complimented our food very well. The Coorg Pork Fry was delicious and Crackling chicken with Curry leaves was homely and finger loving good.
Don’t u guys serve Vedi Erachi anymore? Have been missing the dish for a very long time, was hoping to drop by but I don’t see it on your menu uploaded here in Zomato. 😒

We ended up here on a Saturday evening with most other places on the street either overly crowded or too loud for us.. this place has seats and was playing decent music.. believe it got its name changed from i&monkey some time back.
I didnt see any new cocktails on the menu..so stuck to Cosmopolitan and another beer.. the cottage cheese starter was dry and bland, however the veg lasagne was awesome and filing. It has branded itself as a coastal place..but there werent too many options on the veg side.. All in all a decent place for a quiet evening.
Windsor pub is now a fine dining restaurant, with the same old alcohol great for a family dinner. The pandi curry and sanas are the best. I would love going there again
One of my most favorite places to visit in Indira Nagar. This place is right opposite to Keventors & usual not very crowded. Have tried their starters, curries, Kerala parotas n aapams.... Really fresh and yummy.
A Saturday evening, quite a calm place , friendly and sober. Liked the selection of music played in the background. Was my 1st visit, was not sure of what to order . Tried the hip pocket steak. Well cooked and crispy and delicious with a good amount of vegetable filling. Potato wedges very crisp end delicious. The veggies offered were soft and had the perfect ingredients for a good taste.
Will be back here soon .
Not a very expensive place, pocket friendly.
Avg cost is 1000-1500 for two!
Had a wedding party here. Amazing for a small wedding! But the pork was a bit sour . Rest was alright. Had a good night. Don't have any good food pictures since I was enjoying the wedding reception.

If you are a lover of quality non vegetarian dishes, this is the place for you. Loved their menu and food quality. The service is also excellent.

The legendary establishment Windsor Pub moved from the quaint surroundings of Vasanth Nagar to a swankier location, 12th Main Indiranagar sometime last year. Though there is no dearth of drinking joints in Indiranagar but if you want to surround yourself in an aura of calmness with a mug of beer and a laid back ambiance then Windsor Pub is the place to be in.
They are known for the costal food they serve, they also have a live Appam Counter. Their bar is well stocked with an amazing variety of Cocktails. I ordered Sex in the City – their version of Cosmopoliton, one of the best Cosmos I have tried!
The food was awesome! They get their spices from the coastal regions of India which does make the big difference in the taste of the end Product. Their Crab Curry and Coastal Chicken curry says it all! The flavours in these dishes are so perfect and authentic. They use the same coastal spices used by the locals around the coast to get the same beautiful flavour. Their Appams and Kerala Paratha are real authentic coastal style breads.
This pub has wonderful music and ambiance with great food!
Visited this place for lunch with my old buddies. Ordered the non – veg platter to try most of their signature costal appetizers. We could choose 4 different starters from the menu or the Chef would suggest something else. We ordered the Bang Bang Prawns, Malabar Chicken, Lamb Pepper Fry and Coorg Pork Fry, truly the best deal. For the main course we had their Appam from their live Appam Counter with a Chicken Bafat gravy, traditional konkan speciality and the Goan Prawn Curry.
The food was full of flavour and being a big fan of Coastal Food, This place satisfies all those seafood cravings. The ambiance is really classy and nice. The service was quick and the food was always served in time, we never waited for our Appams and gravies.
Overall wonderful experience!
Am I glad Windsor is in Indranagar! We enjoy going here as a family. Excellent food, great ambience and impeccable service! I love their Continental options as well but thier Indian fare is surprisingly yum. We are great fans of the pandhi (pork) curry here. This time we had it with hot appams and sannas. Their prawn pan fry was juicy and succulent and thier beef fry a spicy treat (you can ask them to reduce the heat if you like)! I recommend the Windsor's 7 Sins. Fair warning - this cocktail ain't for the faint hearted! Truly enjoy the experience every time we visit here. A special mention is Mr. Babu. He is one of the servers here and always wins us over with his exceptional service and warm smile!
Today, after some errands in Indira nagar , we decided to walk around and discover some place which we have not been before. Am glad the nameplate of this building caught our fancy and we stepped in. Very calm , quaint , differently arranged - the place will definitely cast a different charm. You may choose to sit in the outermost room and have a roadside view or sit a little inside and enjoy the music, food and beverages. We chose a unique place with a few bougainnvillea plants retained from the erstwhile household.
Did I mention about the nameplate ? This was the house of former Indian Cricket player E.A.S Prasanna. This house used to host i&monkey earlier , under the umbrella of the same group before the age old Windsor Pub shifted here.
The mercury soaring high I chose to just sip H2O and enjoy our food. We ordered backwater fried meat as a starter , followed by meatball curry , Goan prawn curry & steamed rice. The curries were served in interesting big cups. The meatball curry was slightly on the sweeter side (due to cinammon).I wish the masala of the Goan prawn curry was slightly more done.
My husband and a friend of mine sipped their beer and Iced lemon tea (peach) while I still enjoyed the mint infused plain water with ice.
The last surprise was a mango souffle served to us (on the house).
We will go back for the non veg platter .
The quantity is more than average, so guys pls order judiciously. #avrilsfoodjournee
I wanted to rate them a 4 but had to make it 3.5 because of their mosquito management skills. Went there on a evening only to be bitten by a zillion mosquitoes. The food is delicious, but the portions are not too satisfying. Serves mainly costal cuisine, so you might want to try their dishes/fishes.
We went here on a Thursday night, and this place was packed for a weekday. They had a live band playing as it was their Mix Tape Thursdays. This restaurant specialises in Coastal Food... So, if you're a seafood lover - this is a restaurant you must definitely try. The ambience is beautiful, the white walls adorned with picture frames give you a Greece like feeling... something like those islands of Santorini and Mykonos. We ordered a whole lot of starters which stuffed us so much that we opted for Appam and a Coastal chicken curry for main course. I don't eat seafood so I'll just throw light on what I ate particularly. I really liked the Lamb Pepper Fry. And I also tried the Lemon chicken and Malabar Chicken which was quite nice. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. Warm and friendly service. A must visit for it's coastal cuisine and beautiful ambience.
One word - Amazing!!
Tucked on the most vibrant street of Indiranagar just in front of a beautiful bougenvilla tree.
The ambience is very cool and charming! I went there for a lunch in between two meetings and was craving for some nice spicy coastal chicken.
I ordered the coastal chicken curry with appams and it was finger licking yummy!! Definitely going back to try much more.
A quite restaurant with amazingly friendly staff and even more delicious food. Both veg and non veg. I had the lemon fish and a chicken sizzler in my last visit at the restaurant. The fish turned out better than the chicken dish, which was nice too. The only thing they can probably change would be the very tiny smoking room, which can barely accommodate 3 people. I had a good time overall.
Love the fact that Windsor has come closer to where I work. I'm a big fan of their branch in Vasanthnagar but could not visit them often due to the distance. Happy to see that they have retained their old classic dishes and increased their range of beverages... Did not find my favourite Veddi Erachi though...
Loved the ambience, choice of music (which like their other outlet was at the right level for a conversation) and ever friendly staff...
Ambience of I & Monkey retained...I have been wanting to try out the curry leaves chicken as it looked delicious on swiggy. Since I had a cold, I could not have a drink and the seafood soup was
suggested. The seafood soup when it first came on the table was smelling fishy, but I was fooled by the smell as the soup was delicious and the seafood in it was fresh and delicious. The seafood was basically prawn, squid and some small pieces of fish.Mmmmm...
The garlic bread that came with it was ok, tasted good when mopping up the soup.
The curry leaves chicken was something I had been eyeing for a long time. I liked it but it was good not exceptional.
Chilli cheese toast, I had 3 plates of them. The pork roast was great and so were the cocktails. The 0.5 was deducted because they don't have draught beer.
The food here is brilliant.... The staff are very polite and friendly. I had a chicken salad and fish n chips as well as the curry leaves chicken which was excellent.
Best place to go in Bangalore. If you want to visit a place that has pleasant music and great ambience you should definitely try this place. Great to go on a date or with friend where you can speak to each other without loud music that has become a trademark of lot of places in Bangalore.
Food, drinks and specially the ambience is great. I will be visiting this place more often in the future.
Loved that this place has moved so close to home. In the midst of all the restaurants on 12th Main.. I've found my favorite. The kerala parantha's are just as amazing. Try it with any curry on the menu! We did a chicken gravy with coconut mild and goan prawn curry, all the food we tried actually was amazing and they've really upped the speed of service too! There was always someone around our table, checking to see if everything is fine. Very professional and attentive. They had a live event that night with mellow music on the mic. Made it all the more perfect for night out on 12th Main.
Rose by any name etc etc...this place has gone through some name changes with ownership etc. but has maintained it's charming, understated ambience, fabulous food and courteous service. I also find it a really versatile place...good for an evening out with friends, or lunch with family, or even a date! My personal pick is the seafood...the best fish curry & crab curry I have had in years.
AMAZING PLACE!!! I have never had such good food in my life! The quality of food is topnotch! The ambience is great! The waiters are friendly! A highly recommended place!
Fine dining experience on the busy dine street of 12th main indiranagar. Wonderful ambience and soft music. Coming to the food....it's great.....yumm!!! Heard about the peppery squid rings and coorgi Pork fry many times and had to try and I must say....it was awesomely tasty. The mutton Korma was delicious too.
Their breakfast menu looks good.....will be coming back soon.
As a musician, I went there to catch a live music performance by my friend's band at Windsor. This used to be I & Monkey earlier and I'm not sure if the management is the same or not. The venue is done up quite well. Love the place. I ordered the Veg Sizzler and absolutely loved it - the veggies were grilled very well. The portion was sufficient. Service is efficient and they are very nice. This also has great acoustics for small duo bands. Overall- very nice venue. Interesting menu with coastal food and other options.
Absolutely exquisite for fine dining with well done fusion dishes and amazing wine. I know this place as I&Monkey and it was an accidental find, the first time around. Their ambience is enticing, if you love quaint places with minimalist interiors and soft music and aren't comfortable or ever willing to splurge on it, hit this place. Tucked in a corner of the busiest and bustling street in indiranangar, this place serves some great jerk chicken and coorg chicken among other things. If you are a wine guzzler then I'd suggest you go for a three course meal which can be complemented with a bottle of wine (per person), enough and more to get you that tingling sensation of being buzzed on wine. The finesse of their service is also commendable
This is one of the best fine dine restaurant in Bangalore for sure. The Lamb Pot Pie was extremely well cooked and I liked the way it was served. Their dessert was particularly good. Lovely atmosphere and great food.
we went on a friday evening, a group of 6 people. we were the first ones in (around 8.15 pm) and were there to the end (the restaurant politely asked us to leave at 11) we thought on fridays places are open till 1 am, but they firmly shut the place down at 11 pm. during our time there, barely 3- 4 other tables got occupied.
maybe that's why.
the food was pretty good in general, we ordered the coorg pork fry which was very very good, so we ordered a second portion. we also ordered a chicken starter, but that was pretty disappointing - very dry. thought about sending the dish back, but we were 6 hungry people, so we finished it anyway. for the maincourse we had a vegetable steak, which while good, was much smaller than we expected. We ordered an tangy onion stew and appams, and the stew was very very good. we ordered a pork curry and appams and the pork curry was brilliant too.
Visited with a friend, liked the place. Not crowded like mamagato or Phobidden Fruit. Had Curry Leaf Chicken and Malabar Chicken. Price for 2 persons was around 1700. Ambience is awesome. Good place to drink as well.(based on ambience only, I can't validate the cost being a non-alcoholic). Staff were very very friendly.Ambience: 4.5/5Staff: 4/5food 4/5
After mine own heart:
Coorgi Pandhi Fry
Ulli Theeyal
Desi Chicken in Red pepper
I love spicy food and I love Windsor Pub! You must have gotten the point :-) yes, the food here is fire on the house! Undeniably awesome.
ps: the uploaded menu seems to be a wrong one! Windsor pub has a great coastal menu, that seems to be missing here!
Our order:
Coorgi Pandhi (pork) fry!
This is the dish that they are most known for and this is what we specifically went there to eat! It was even better than what I'd imagined! The pork was soft and succulent and fried in the mouth-watering traditional coorgi masala that sends a million neurons in your head buzzing with pleasure at the first taste of it! I swear :-)
Desi chicken in a red chilli gravy!
This dish is a pepper lovers' Raison D'etre! Pieces of boneless chicken cooked in a rich thick gravy with an overriding flavour of red peppers! Need I say more?!
Ulli Theeyal (shallot curry)
This one boasts of an amazing mix of all my favourite flavours and textures! Lovely little pearl shallots cooked in a thick, spicy, and delightfully tangy gravy. An explosion of peppers and tamarind merge with the soft sweetness of the onions and create an experience that is not to be missed!
The bad news is that Bengaluru's iconic Windsor Pub at Vasantnagar, popular for its authentic Coorg pandhi (fry) and coastal Kerala cuisine has shut down. The good news is that it has now opened shop at Indiranagar. It's new home is where 'I and Monkey' was located.
No visit to Windsor Pub is complete without sampling their pandhi fry, for which the masala is sourced from Coorg. We ordered the chilly cheese toast, pork spare ribs, appam and chicken stew, and all of them adhered to the good old Windsor Pub standards.
While I did not have to look at the menu to place my order being an old-timer, I now notice that Zomato has listed the menu of 'I and Monkey', and not that of the original Windsor Pub. Hence, I am uncertain if the outlet will be an exact replica of Windsor Pun where cuisine is concerned or a fusion between 'I and Monkey' and Windsor Pub.
The ambiance is very soothing--a combination of a typical Greek 'taverna' with white smudged walls and a British pub with wooden furniture and leather upholstery. The outer corridor with natural light flowing in from the roof creates a meditative atmosphere.
Windsor Pub has its own uniqueness and definitely merits a visit.

Known better as I&Monkey, it's at a not-so-easy-to-miss location on the busy 12th main road at Indiranagar. With a romantic setting and soft music, this place has an exquisite food menu. Though slightly on the expensive side, the overall experience is good.
It's the old I & monkey turned into Windsor pub. Went in expecting a local place but found fine dining instead.
The food was decent (could get peanut masala :) ) as were the drinks. Another good pub in indiranagar.
An excellent restaurant . Now this is what I find commendable about a restaurant. When the staff is capable of directing you and convincing you to explore new tastes....you know the place is in good hands. Very warm staff who keep a keen eye on ur plate and glass ready to.refill even before you think of asking them. The appetizers were quite filling came in good quantity and were delicious. Please visit.
This place is now called The Windsor pub. It's a nice place if you want to be away from loud music(you have the option for loud music as well). The curry leaves chicken starter was awesome. Drinks were made well. Was surprised how quickly they served us the food. Head out to this place if you want to have a nice little talk over drinks and good food with your companion.
I am a regular Bengaluru visitor and i love exploring new cafes and restaurants and this happened to be one of my newest visits! This is a place on 12th Main in Indiranagar serving European, Mediterranean, little bit of Italian and some Coastal food items (i think this is just for the time being).
The ambience of this place is great, it's a huge outlet with a lot of free space so even if it's packed, it would cramp up. The menu options aren't very elaborate but are unique. If you're a Pork lover you will get a lot of variety here. The portion sizes are divided into appetizers, small plates and large plates. They also serve a portion of complimentary Garlic bread :)
From the costal menu i tried the Fiery Chilli Chicken which was EXTREMELY spicy!! I think it was marinated and made green chili paste - A big NO for people who don't eat spicy food at all. In the small plates i ordered for the Roast Jerk Chicken which was good. A little under, but the taste was really nice served on some good sautéed bed of vegetables. In the large plate we ordered for the Crock Pot Chicken which is served with a portion of rice. It's chicken gravy in lemongrass which was good too.
The overall experience at the this place was nice and definitely can be recommended :
The total score:
Ambience: 4.5/5
Food: 4/5
Value for money: 5/5
Nice place. The ambience is soft and moderately lit. Dishes are unique and offer good variety. Don't suggest the Latkas which are just spiced mashed potatoes but their mocktails and tarts are great! Quite a good place for special occasions!
An exquisite place for fusion dishes! This place has amazing dishes , desserts & drinks! It's on the expensive side though. Cost for a 3 course meal for two would be 2500/-. It's got great music & ambience.
Fine list of wines, short & precise food menu, soothing ambience- this place has got everything that I like. I have been to this restaurant twice and loved every bit of the experience. On that note here's my rating:
Food - 4.5 / 5
Service - 4.5 / 5
Ambience- 5 / 5
Value for money - 4 / 5
Overall- 4.5 / 5
P.S. - Ask about all the options before ordering Fish.
This place was such a welcome relief from the noisy and overcrowded places in the neighborhood. First off, they checked with us if we would like a quieter place which I liked cos we were there for a ladies night out and some serious chat. The ambience was relaxed with jazz music playing in the background, low lighting , perfect to unwind of a Sunday evening. We ordered off the continental menu, Greek salad, cottage cheese sizzler and lasagna and everything was up to the mark, really scrumptious and quite a mouthful.
We pass by this place all the time & never tried it out..we saw the menu written in a black board placed outside it read " coorgi style pork" ...this really tempted us...
Unsure we entered the place..at once we liked the place ..not sure was it the ambience or the welcoming staff there...
Ordered coorgi style pork( dry) ...wow it was amazing ...I could have had another plate of it ( greediness) ... also tried their pork pizza..loved this one too...the meat was perfectly done...the pineapples balanced the taste of the pizza..
A good experience ,will visit again...
I & monkey a big thumps up to your staff..keep up the good job..

One of the best restaurant in indra Nagar. Quitely tucked inside the busy road. Thier cocktail seven sins and masala prawns are awesome. Try the Kerala fish curry with rice....heavenly
It was late and we were looking for a place which would be open to have dinner , and this place welcomed us, Thank you for that! . I have seen this place before , but i never went inside thinking it will be too expensive because of the decor they have . But I was wrong!
The place is nicely done , very fine dining appeal to it , the water pond at the entrance and the glass roof . Looks Amazing!
We ordered Grilled Vegetable sizzler & Roast Jerk Chicken , 10 on 10 for their presentation , Sizzler was good , chicken was good too , but i felt it was too salty. the service is prompt and they look out for you . Overall good experience ! Will go again :)
Went there as around 4 all places were shut and they gave 20% off
Ordered a pasta
Quantity was good for two
Priced reasonably
Ambience romantic
Lovely music playing in the background
Dropped by for lunch. The ambience is nice and quiet with a classy touch. We tried the family meal consisting of food enough for 4 people. The salads are decent, the pizza is nutritious and the pasta was excellent. Defentiely worth a visit with family or friends.
Located on the super busy 'Food Street' (12th Main) of Indiranagar, I & Monkey has a good selection of burgers, pastas and small/big plates of Indian/continental dishes.
We tried a Bacon + Shredded Pork Pizza, which was packed with meat and sinfully cheesy. We picked a Sambal Fish that had a hint of sweetness and went very well with the (relatively mild) sambal sauce. The standout dish was the day's special - Coorgi Pork Fry - made spicy to the right degree.
Their serving time is a little long but overall pretty good a place. Worth trying out, for sure.
12th Main has enough dining options but it's strange that I & Monkey seems to be overlooked. Maybe it's the unpretentious entrance and low-key signage. A beautiful koi pond leads into an expansive and well-designed space. Anywhere you sit is a good seat, including the bar. And the food is excellent! It begins with a very light garlic bread. We ordered the scrumptious soft shell tacos as a starter. And split a mushroom/bell pepper pizza and seafood fettucine. The pasta was quite creamy and good. The pizza had substantial toppings. A custom-made chocolate finishes off the meal. Service was attentive and professional. Only complaint: music level can be turned down a notch. Not sure if there is more of a crowd on the weekends, but this place deserves more attention. Very impressed with the dining experience.
This place was suggested by colleague, walked to experience a moderate ambience, empty restaurant. Menu suggestion looked good and we ordered prawn, fish and chicken. Quality of starters was ok and main course was ok. One time visit is good.
We decided to visit this place on a weekday for a quiet family dinner. Reached the place around 9, it's opposite to Mamagoto.
The place looks quite small, but as you go inside, you realize they have used the space well. We got seated comfortably in one of the corners. 2 other tables were occupied that time.
So far, the ambience has been nice, nothing too simple or something too extravagant. Coming to the food:
We ordered minty mystic and Raining men. Both of which were good.
Starters we ordered crab croquettes, ginger garlic pork, smoked pork belly and smoked BBQ wings. The standout was the smoked pork belly, which was soft and succulent. Crab croquettes were tasty too, but the amount of crab meat was a little less I felt. Each portion of starters is enough for 6 people.
We were full with the starters, so for main course we ordered Honey BBQ chicken pizza and fusilli carbonara. The pizza was the standout dish of the dinner. It was absolutely delicious. There was the right by amount of sweetness(because of the honey) and spice. Will definitely go back for the pizza. Specifically ask for thin crust(if you like thin crust). The pasta tasted amazing. The sauce was creamy and full of flavor.
For dessert, there's a small counter with 4-5 varieties like apple pie, chocolate walnut pie, chocolate tart etc. We had apple pie and chocolate walnut pie with ice cream. The apple pie wasn't that great. The pastry was soggy and not sweet. The filling was terrible. -1 for that terrible apple pie. :(
But, the chocolate walnut pie was delicious.
Would go here again for the crab croquettes and the honey BBQ pizza. A beautiful place for a quiet dinner.
I personally believe I & Monkey is highly under rated on Zomato. It totally stands out among the top restaurants and has a touch of class in everything. It's ambience and courtesy is truly mesmerizing and does justice to our expectations. Ordered Roast Jerk Chicken, Chilli Chicken Frica and Arrabiatta Pasta. Don't mistake the Chilli Chicken Frica to be very spicy. It isn't. But it's a great dish which you should definitely try.
We went there cursing ourselves to be late as we reached the restaurant at around 10 pm on a Friday night expecting the place would be full and the table we reserved would have been taken. We were taken by surprise when we understood that we were the first to enter the place that evening.(Have we done a mistake coming here was the question ringing in our minds..)
We half heartedly ordered for 2 small plates along with Cocktails at first.. The cocktails came in pretty quickly - Weasel Armaretto , Bull Dog and a mocktail - Passion Paradise. Weasel Armaretto was a tad on the hard side but they were great.
For starters it was - Stuffed Mushroom which came in with a mustard sauce and Zucchini Koftas and salad on the side. The koftas were awesome, flavour of Zucchini flowers and the aroma of tomato saffron puree made it delicious and mouth watering.
People started pouring when the clock struck 10:30 PM and that is when we realised , we are in Bangalore, nothing starts quickly on a Friday night...
For Mains, we ordered Puttanesco(Penne) pasta - the bell peppers & green olives were soft ; rightly cooked which went along with the tomato sauce & the Bellpepper & Mushroom Pizza which had loads of cheese.
Dish of the day was Zucchini Koftas :)
The only suggestion is - As a Vegetarian, I would like to see more of Main course dishes on the Menu.
Extremely tasty food and fresh preparation. Zomato gold partnered.
We were a big group of friends and ordered all varieties of sizzlers available. All of them were amazing in their own way. Desserts are also really good here.
I would personally recommend strawberry cheesecake.
It's a wonder that the place only had us as customers.

Don't get confused, it used to be called I&Monkey. Very nice mix of food. Few of them are totally a different recipe. Curry leaves chicken one of my favorites. A must try place. We paid 4K plus for 5. Awesome service and very kind staff.
Being a vegetarian, I don't have a lot of options here. But the appam and mushroom curry which comes in cashew gravy is amazing. Totally love it. Even the veg sizzler is nice. Starters not so great. But it's a very nice place where you can have a drink and have a good meal.
Unique Cuisine and Classy Place
This place is an ideal place for people who are looking for 'Something different' for their taste buds and willing to spend more. Apart from the unique cuisine, the drinks and desserts are also amazing! It's definitely a nice pick for a date as the ambience is great and music is soothing.
Average Cost for 2 = 2500/- (Full Course Meal)

Excellent variety of foods to attract the taste buds. A good getaway for couple or a office party.
The kindness of the staff is very good. But they are unable to manage a bit of crowd. If they can speed up, people can eat more!
My second visit here and I love their dishes. If group is more than 20, then they arrange for a custom buffet too. Their coastal cuisine is spot on and seafood is fresh. Don't miss the appam, pandi curry and prawns.
I loved the seafood pasta , the bacon and shredded pork jumbo pizza and grilled chicken salad which was part of family offer. Also ordered soup of the day and crispy meat which reminded me of Kerala. Excellent! Bangaloreans you are missing good food if you missed this place. The service was courteous and the staff were knowledgeable about the food to guide is.
Good food from the south Indian coasts. Fast and efficient service. Decent selection of liquor. Coorgi Pork Fry and Crab Croquettes are the best starters. Fish curry with rice, very good among the main course.
Located on 12th main, Indiranagar, this is a tastefully decorated resto pub. It is spacious and furnished with well made tables and chairs. The interiors are minimalistic and classy.
Staff are courteous and slays on their toes to serve you. They frequently check with their diners if the food is good and tasteful. Dishes to try:
Grilled chicken salad
Egg salad
Flambe chicken
Veg steak
Warm Apple pie
Carrot halwa
These are just a few dishes from their menu. Though the menu is small, it is replete with flavorful dishes. Sample their wines and liqueurs. In all a fantastic experience. A place where you can go with family and friends.
