The best thing about the place is the pricing. Inexpensive cakes and pastries without drop in quality. However the place lacks consistency. Not all cakes taste great. I would recommend the tiramisu cake and the vanilla flavoured one.

The pastries are really cheap and the taste is worth more than what we pay. Ordering prior would give an edge but they usually have extra cakes even if you are in a hurry. The chocolate truffle is especially good. Its a good deviation from the expensive chain of cakes.

Best pastries and cakes in BTM 2nd stage with reasonable prices. It will be crowded on weekends and weekdays too... You can get the best taste from Amma pastries.
Always been a pastry lover. This place serves ice-cream cakes mostly which taste really well. The snacks items like egg puff, chicken puff are equally good. If you want to try a different genre of cakes, specifically ice-cream pastries, this is the place.
In my opinion they serve the best cakes and pastries and other baked items, at least in BTM 2nd stage area. No doubt about that. It can get pretty crowded on weekends evening time with queues. You can have it packed or just grab a seat some where inside or the stairs outside as they do not provide any place to sit and eat..
I just love their egg less chocolate cheese cake. The same thing cost too much in any other bakery shop. But the price is reasonable here and taste is just awesome. It just melts with a chocolate burst in your mouth, the moment you have it.

I am a regular at Amma's pastries at their Bannerghatta road branch. We have tried their different types of pastries like litchi, blueberry , green apple and death by chocolate. Amazingly fresh cakes with a superb flavour.
Their plum cake we tried this Christmas. Quite well made and fresh.
I also ordered a blueberry birthday cake for my baby boy's first birthday and it turned out to be a hit with all our friends and family. We did not even prebook. Just went to the shop and bought it. This shows their consistency in taste and quality. Their savoury items like puffs and mini pizzas are also decent.
Not much of a space to sit and eat. Just 2-3 chairs.
Overall a great place to lighten your mood with superb cakes at a great price.

The best light pastries I have tasted in Bangalore, and that too without burning a hole in your pocket. They do not have fancy stuff or good decorations. They have cakes, chocolates, pastries, puffs and other things that do not go a favor to your eyes; but once you are in, you really get to know how popular this place is. Everything is home-made quality and freshly made, and by the time you end up at the payment counter, what you wanted is already sold out. I am in love with the awesome 6 wonders, and have taken a 1 lb cake many a times just because all the pastries were sold out.
While roaming around the streets of the city to desperately find my new pg, suddenly I came across this bakery. There are varieties of home baked cakes at a really reasonable price. I was surprised to know that Tiramisu cake is just 36 bucks. The cake was so soft and the mixture of coffee and mascarpone was so soothing. Now I know the place is very near to my pg so I will pay very frequent visits. :)
It was a b'day of a friend and this time we ordered Mango cake. Cake was fresh , soft and just delicious. So far one of the best Mango cakes I have tasted in Bangalore.

Amma’s Pastries has apparently been in Bangalore for more than a decade, and I got to know how good they are only maybe a year ago. Some of our friends got a few of their fruit and chocolate pastries for a get-together, and honestly, they were really good. Moist and fresh, with fresh cream being used, I realised that if I had to buy pastries offhand or for a sudden get-together at home, I would visit Amma’s Pastries. For people like us who’s lived in Bangalore over 30 years, I tend to compare these pastries immediately with the iconic Sweet Chariot ‘cuz that was the only one which we would buy pastries and cakes from, till all the new guys started opening. So even if i did compare, I’d say Amma’s Pastries has great pastries and cakes, which are pretty good value for money as well as taste.
Last week, I had to suddenly buy a cake within a few hours, and this outlet being the closest to home, I went in to check out what I could possibly get within such a short time. The ones on display were mostly 1/2kg, but asking for a 1kg, they said “Absolutely no problem ma’am.. choose the flavour and we shall have it ready for you in 10 mins.” That there is one of their amazing USPs. Also the price was around 550/- which was decent for a 1kg cake. I wasn’t too sure whether it would be as good as it looked, but I chose the Opera cake, which has 3 layers - white chocolate, dark chocolate and coffee. An interesting combination which we all later loved. While waiting for the cake, I tried out one of their cheesecake pastries. I’d suggest you not to expect the cheesecake cheesecake you’ve probably eaten in high-end outlets, ‘cuz this has layers of sponge in between as well. It was ok.. Maybe for that price point, introducing some different flavours and playing around with the idea of a cheesecake makes sense.
So the cake was ready and packed in 10mins, with the personalisation as well! The Opera cake was amazingly moist with decadent chocolate flavours. We had almost 20 people at home who had the cake and everybody simply loved it. So yes, I’m glad it worked.
Nowadays, with the increasing attraction to fondant cakes and pretty looking cakes, sometimes you forget that the most simple cakes can be just as delicious as well.
VERDICT: If affordability, deliciousness, time and simplicity are what you’re looking for, Amma’s Pastries should be on your list next time you need a cake or pastries.
i have tried pastries in Bangalore at many places from past year and felt disappointed at every place but this is the place that satisfied me with the taste and catalog which are very great. Even doughnuts are so tasty but the most shocking thing is prices, i felt like "is this for real" the rates are very less and that is very amazing to keep rates that low and deliver awesome food.
Kudos amma's pastries, now i am visiting this place once in two days that too because its 1.5Km from my room or else i would have daily visisted for desserts :P

This is one very nice and trusted bakery in BTM. I love the cakes and pastries over here especially their truffle chocolate and themoist chocolate cake. Many times I have ordered cakes from here. The best thing about this place is that their rates are less than the other bakeries. The staff here is generally good but in my last visit to this place I had a bad experience as one of their staff member was rude to me

Nice variety of cakes. A lot of good varieties of pastries. plum cake is Worth trying but their homemade chocolates are not so good I recommend white truffle pastry.
The best cake shop in Bangalore, no doubt!! And that too in a very very reasonable rate. Cakes are fresh and tasty. My all time favourite are Fruit Forest (Vanilla) and Fruit Truffle (Chocolate), both of them with fresh fruits.
At the end of a pretty good day just when you know there's barely 20 min left for shops to close down... if you crave for cake and your loved one takes you to this place... Thank God for that loved one.
There are no chairs or tables... No platforms Nada! For good reason I'd say. You won't have time to sit and chatter over these pastries... You gulp it in with a few mumbles of "Goood" and the next thing you do is grab a parcel and sprint home to share the Joy!

This used to be pet friendly but once an aunty came and she had issues with our puppy sized pet so the owner was like this a place for humans to eat and not pets to sit around.
It was uncalled for, while he could have asked us to sit on another table, while we were on the table before aunty but had gone to order which led her to take our space and complain like a kid.
Anyways after that we didn't take out pet there but still ate at times. You will find many varieties of food.

Planned to get some donuts and they had some good 4-5 varieties of them and we ended up getting assorted dozen of donuts .. staff was very helpful and if something was not display they were helping us answering us or getting it for us.

Amma's pastries started out as a small bakery on hbr layout main road. I remember picking up chocolate mousse pastry & chocolate pastry on most days on my way back home from office. At that time the menu was limited and not so exorbitant like now. My son relished every bite of the chocolate mousse pastry. I am talking about things around 16-17 years back. My son is now 17 and still a die-hard fan of this bakery. It's not surprising that now they have so many branches in and around bangalore. Their pastries and also other bakery products are the best, most importantly their pricing, fair and reasonable. No wonder all their outlets are crowded. Most of the cakes we order from here only for birthdays and other occasions.

Here in BTM Choco bar cake is good option to try, I have not found this cake in any other ammas pastries.

Cheap but Good enough Bakey Products make this place stand out from the crowd... The price seems reasonable and feels it is made up of quality products. A number of types of pastries are available. Half kg cake cost about 200 to 300 rupees and full kg cost about 500-600 rupees which is fairly reasonable as compared to the other overpriced pastry shops and Bakery. Not many shops/outlets available but whatever there is it's enough to fulfill the crowd. The only thing that I found that is not good about the place is that if you are planning to eat anything then and there then there is no place to sit and enjoy the whatever you have taken, you have to stand up and eat so it is a a little awkward and not very comfortable with the same, if they could just put at least a couple of chairs and a couple of tables so that people can come and eat whatever they buy right then and there while sitting. This is the only thing that I found out about the place but everything else is quite good and if you are planning to give any one number that read this is the best place to buy a cake and various different products.
The cleanliness of the shop also seemed ok and the maintenance was also good.
Moreover the best cakes that they make on that day gets sold out very soon so if you are planning to buy any cakes for your loved ones, you better go and buy it as soon as possible or even better if you just order it well in advance.
There are a number of variety of cakes that are available and I don't think anyone will be disappointed by the variety that they provide.
I would suggest to go with the red velvet or the black forest as I think those are the best cakes that they make.
