Always a Chinese lover n very rarely find a good place.. This is one of it recommended by a close friend.. Tried n loved it.. I couldn't experience the place dur to lockdown.. But surely a place in my post lockdown bucket list
Seriously good chinese food... Will remind you of Tangra or China town back in Kolkata should you hail from that part of the country... We ordered delivery and the food was delivered quick, fresh and hot... Tried the double fried Chilli Chicken, Hunan Prawn and hot Garlic fish... Great packaging, generous quantities and delicious to the core... Strongly recommended...
The food is always very fresh and tasty. Undoubtedly my favourite Chinese restaurant in Indira Nagar.
Drums of heaven is true heavenly dish, Cantonese noodles, fried rice are always superb. Sea food used always fresh, superb taste a must try place if you are Chinese food lover.
Order quite frequently from here whenever I am in mood for some Chilly Pork and Rice Noodles. Good wholesome food. Must try if you like Chinese food. They can also customise their dish according to your taste.
Now what do I say about this place. It is situated in the most unlikeliest locale at Cambridge Layout. Its our all season Go To Place when craving for chinese (which happens to be my favourite cuisine). This restaurant with a humble setting serves plate licking chinese food without distressing your wallet. The menu is extensive and incorporates dishes to provide choices to different Indian Palette. Uncle Lee (who is a proud owner and of Chinese origin himself) is always found with the warmest smile to greet you and welcome you. If you are in doubt what to order just consult him and he will recommend dishes as per your mood and liking. Like a true chef he will never allow his existing dishes to be modified as per your taste but if you tell him your preference he will pair it for you. If you are a regular and have tried almost all dishes on the menu and bored,he will create unique customized dishes for you (only if you are open to experimentation and love surprises with food). I will always remain a big fan and loyalist of Uncle and Kim Lee
My recommendation will be Manchow soup, poached wantons, spring rolls, Cantonese noodles.
Kim Lee has been my favourite place for Kolkata Chinese over the years. I love eating the chicken manchurian with burnt garlic noodles. Although the frequency of visits/orders have reduced over the years, I still like eating from this place.
The best chinese i ever had. Will visit again whenever i will be in bangalore. Golden prawn, Steam rice nveg and Chicken Chilly B/L are a must try.
Went there by chance and had Malaysian noodles, loved it, very tasty. Very good service. The ambiance is good. But a very small place, so better book a table.
Found Flavours of Kolkata. Taste and quality of food is good. Nice suggestion by owner, and he made some personalized alteration in the preparation as he made ''mokho makho '' gravey for us.Negetive points - Slightly overpriced & Sitting area is small.
Quiet little place with quick and friendly service and some really good food. The food is tasty and the portions are large, so head here when you're in the mood for a big meal! A word to the wise, their schezwan spice is not for the faint hearted.
First thing they hv changed place and gone opp to Jute cottage nr Sai mandir in Indiranagar. If you love calcutta style chinese flavors then you should go here. The tangra style hakka chilli chicken is awesome. Hakka noodles is very close to perfect. So was the veg balls in hunan sauce. Its a small place so you prebook table.
This is my favourite home delivery restaurant for chinese cuisine.
I usually order the mixed fried rice, chilli chicken and chicken cilantro (this is amazing, a must try). The portion size is quite good, easily can be shared between two people.
“What do you feel like eating?”
“Ummm Chinese ! “
Well the minute I hear that answer at home, I am the first one to call Kimlee for a home delivery!
Hakka noodles , chicken dragon roll , devils chicken with gravy and the Thai fried chicken is what I usually order !
Kimlee has been consistent with their quality of food for years now !
The food is absolutely delicious and you honestly won’t be disappointed!
Such a homely place. Been with my colleagues recently.
Chef, loved your hospitality. Nice Thai food and timely service. Food is really yum. Hope to come back soon.
Kim Lee
My comfort food! Yes! I swear by their three jewelled fried rice or prawn rice pot that has generous serving of mushroom (shitake) as weekends beckon. A taste of Calcutta's Tyangra (China Town) in the far away land in Bangalore, Kim lee also tastes pride in quick bites (the Hunan chicken or Double fried Chilli chicken)! Within 1000 INR at least three people can eat which is good in bangalore standard. I have never been to the outlet, always bring food home. The service is prompt and stuff over the phone sound courteous. I do recommend to taste the rice pots if you have a penchant for mushrooms and prawns or rice cooked with celery. Their chilly chicken, too, is the best I have eaten in Bangalore till date.
When I am in doubt where to order from, I always choose Kim Lee. They don't have the best food but they always deliver on time. The staff are polite. I never had the wow moment when I eat here but I was never disappointed as well.
Well, this place is pretty close to my home. I have seen this place grow for years & been a loyal customer.
The food taste has not changed a bit right from the day one I have been having here.
A good place to try out your Chinese cuisine.
Good work keep going!!!
Went out for a walk, was passing by this restaurant felt hungry so dropped in! Sounds weird but yeah that's me! This is a 13 years old Chinese restaurant related to the very famous Chinese restaurant in Tangra (Kolkata).
Now lets get down to Business,
We ordered Moku Chicken soup, Hakka style chilly chicken and fish and Chinese pot rice. Soup was good correctly seasoned and had the right balance of chicken and mushroom. Hakka style chicken and fish was extraordinary and mind blowing. Succulent pieces of chicken dipped into a batter and fried. Was extremely happy with it. The Chinese pot rice was something I have never had before, a strong flavour of Shiitake mushrooms and chicken, a kind of fried rice which needs nothing to accompany it (not even sauce). As I write this review I am craving for more of it and would drop by this place soon!
This place is on Indiranager double road. We want to had some Chinese hot food so we ordered chicken Hakka Noodles , fried rice and chicken momo ,chicken hot & sour soup & chicken mushroom soup . its awesome taste . service is good.
This place has the yummiest Chinese food. A little spicy but authentic. The place will seem to be a little pricey but they give really nice quantity.
Ok ok food. Quality is not consistent but quantity is great. They deliver pretty quickly. But don't expect to get the food as per description. I ordered drums of heaven but what the gave me was fried chicken. Also I ordered 3jewel rice where the description says rice with three exotic chicken but all I got was a Normal fried chicken.
EDIT :Ordered again and this time it's was pretty good. Chicken hunan was great.
This is my Chinese carvings solver. They make yum food and in great portions. It's not particularly expensive either. Staff and service is good too. The ambience isn't great tho so order in maybe because that's what I mostly do. The food's worth it!
I will surely rate this place 4.5
Ordered food from here. The quantity was good.. Taste was awesome.. And not that spicy too.. Loved every bit.. Now what we ordered
1.Chicken Steam Momo
2.Chicken Hakka Noodles
3.Chilly Chicken Dry
It cost us around 670 and the food was awesome... Delivery was within 15mins
We ordered food from here and was so hungry that Zi forgot to take pics 😅. We ordered:
1. Double fried chilli chicken
2. Non veg Chinese rice
3. Deville's Poulty
4. Non veg burnt garlic noodles
5. Non veg Cantonese noodles
I'm going to go with a 4 because double fries chili chicken and non veg burnt garlic noodles were extremely spicy unlike what an authentic Chinese meal should be.
I loved the Deville's Poultry which was bland as per the INDIAN taste but full of flavor! An unusual hero was the Chinese rice which was a tiny variety of rice grains and tasted sooooo good !! This has to be a must-order !
The price is also decent (attaching bill).
I have never actually visited their outlet, always ordered takeout or delivery. I absolutely love their food, it's great! Highly recommend it if you like Chinese food. Must try - dragon chicken, I think that's what it's called, spicy but totally worth it.
We have mostly got delivery from this place on lazy evenings and parties and whether it's us or our guests everyone loves Kim lee Tangra style food. We almost always order Tangra style dry chilli chicken or fish with Hakka noodles and fried rice. They are a hit!
The home delivery Chinese delicacy in Indira nagar is Kim Lee. Bit hard to find but once you order from here you will fall in love with this place. The restaurant is the brother of Kimlee of Tangra Kolkata. So for Chinese loving bongs this place is a paradise.
My personal favourite are : sweet hot garlic fish, Hunan chicken , hot garlic mixed noodles and schezwan mixed fried rice.
Being a small restaurant the price is bit on the higher side but that will be covered by the quantity they serve you.
Mixed items are so full of prawns and chicken you will love it with every spoon touching your mouth.
So start ordering your home delivered Chinese around Indira nagar

Good old Chinese, and no surprises. Also, the manager/host is extremely courteous and helpful. Don't expect super fancy food, this ain't no mamagoto. But if you are looking for the Chinese of your childhood, Kimlee will do great.
Good Chinese food at affordable price...one of the few Chinese food place that I like.so don't hesitate to try their food. And yeah, Delivery is pretty quick.
Whenever I crave for Indianised rather kolkata style Chinese....Kimlee is my go to place.
Its hygenic, fast, easy on the pocket and awesome food.
You can dine at their restaurant which is a small quaint place on double road or you can get it home delivered. I have been to the restaurant twice and have ordered multiple times and all their dishes right from their soups to dishes like Thai flat noodles "koithai" are incredible.
My last order consisted of chicken rice noodles, chicken hot n sour soup n tangra style chicken.
All of them were just yum. Now of course they don't meet the MLC standard of chinese but the food nonetheless is very good.
Portions are good. Always ordered online never got a chance of dine in. Roasted chilli chicken is great. overall a good place to try apart from the usual chinese restaurants.
Everything is good but comparing the ambience, service and quality of food, it's not different from the options in the locality. Taste was satisfactory. Nothing stand out to be observed. Its that other Chinese restaurant whenever you feel to have some silence around you.
This place is awesome for kind of indo chienese dishes, it is very affordable and food is quite good, Even their home delivery also very good, nicely packed and cordially delivered.
Ordered from Kimlee today. Tried the burnt garlic noodles. The taste was very good. Looking fwd to visit this place to try out other items as well.
Ordered food from here, a few days back.Double fried chili chicken was delicious and was quite distinct.
Chicken and mushroom fried rice was adequate, considering its price. And lemon chicken was okay. All in all, a nice joint for occasional orderings.
One of the small joint that you generally tend to overlook, but this is one place where you can get some really good Chinese food, aptly suited for the Indian taste buds. And the best part, they don't compromise on the taste or quality. I've come across a lot of Chinese outlets across indiranagar, but they end up offering disastrous dishes. The variety of soups that they have to offer is simply amazing.
I love this place. Location isn't great but the food will make you swoon. The food quality is no less than what they serve in at any 5Star Hotel Chinese Restaurant. Chef Walter is himself there to serve and please his guests can always trust his judgment while ordering. The food is finger licking good all the time never disappoints on palette. Too good and is hood on wallet too. I go there often with my hubby. If you want authentic Chinese no better place in Bangalore to be. In evening lighting is a bit dim but who cares with food this great.
Ambience - 2.5
Service - 3.5
Food- 5
Value for money - 5
I have not been to this place and have only been ordering food for delivery from here. One of the best places in Indiranagar to order chinese food from.
We ordered for some soup and steamed chicken momos. Both were good. Then we ordered for some burnt prawn garlic noddles which was just awesome with some chicken gravy and the preparation was super. The quantity is also very good
Most ordered home delivery and i love thier food.. one of the best places to order chinese. I have been here once and i didnt like the place, its not great to be there but the food is worth it. I would only recommend take out or delivery from here
Usually end up ordering from here when I crave for a quick fix indo chinese food. The chicken fried rice and chili fish is my staple order here and they never fail to satisfy my taste buds. Hope they continue to maintain their consistency.
Food taste is okay, quantity is good, the chefs or people might be connected with tangra kolkata, because the taste was almost in same category...value for money, you have have lot in less price :-)
One of the best Indian-Chinese kitchens. The delivery is quick and quantity is just massive. And there is no nonsense of a minimum order :)
Have ordered food from here for 2 of my parties. Mainly appetizers and small eats. Very good quality and delicious. The portions are great and food is flavorful.
"May I recommend the chilly roast pork dry sir, which is our signature dish. I am the chef" - I have never had the heart to say no for two reason - the dish is brilliant and the man is articulate and convincing. If you're thinking about ordering in and Chinese food is on everyone's mind - don't even bother checking out options, go with this place.
Best for home delivery. They are prompt and portions are generous. The hunan roast chicken is a little expensive but is by far the best dish on their menu. The Cantonese noodles are also amazing.
My favorite Chinese restaurant when i wanna go easy on my stomach and pocket...
Love ordering in ..
My staple order being chicken fried rice and today tried their triple chicken which had Crispy fried noodles, fried rice and noodles with loads of chicken.
Their quantity is the best for this pricing and is very tasty and fresh too..
They don't give u cutlery or tissues but order with swigy n you get that too....
Giving it a 5 as i don't want anything to change
This is a small Chinese restaurant which is very close to 100ft road and heard great reviews from people who have eaten from here.
So it's always better to get food home delivered from here rather than eating here I have been told and I can't not agree with them.
So the Quantity here is really huge and amazing so the food should be ordered accordingly.
Ordered Hunan chicken and veg dumplings in Manchurian sauce and schezwan fried rice and chowmein.
It couldn't have got better . the sauces were perfect along with the flavour and taste .
It could have gotten a little spicier though.
The packing too was quite neat.
Overall ,
Home delivery - 5 (he delivered in spite of heavy rains )
Quantity -5
Taste - 3.5
Flavour -4
Quality-4.5(very less oil compared to Chung wah and Beijing bites )
So glad to go to this place. Amazing and authentic chinese food. Had dragon balls, ribbon noodles, chilly chicken.. it was a great dinner.
Ambiance is nothing very great but the delicious food covers up for it ?
Amazing tangra style Kolkata cuisine.. this place is a must visit for those who miss kolkata chinese. The dry chili chicken is to die for. The sweet and sour fish reminded me of my childhood. It was perfect. The quantity was really good. Ambience is nothing to talk about its more of a take away joint. One thing is they dont give you bills and when you ask for it they say they will charge taxes.. bit weird. But the ratings is all for the food.
The food at Kim Lee is just amazingly tasty and sticks to my taste buds for a while even after i have finished the food!! Those who live around Indiranagar and have passed by this restaurant and have noticed how empty it is, don't be misled like i have been. The restaurant indeed remains stark empty for most times but take aways and home delivery is Kim Lee's modus operandi! and they have quite a large and loyal clientele.
Dont be misled by the lack of a fancy upmarket restaurant because Chinese food patrons will be WOWed by the food here.
I have been here a few times now and i have not had any complaint thus far.
Of the things i have tasted are malaysian kway thio, chopsuey (cantonese and american), peking chicken and cilantro chicken amongst other things. these are the ones that have stuck in my thoughts.... or my tongue! :)
Koithio is a malaysian flat-noodles preparation which is fairly spicy and will not go wrong with spicy food lovers. Cantonese chopsuey is white and bland but cantonese cuisine is white. For people who love cantonese food- this chopsuey CAN'T go wrong! The chicken items that i have tasted are 8 to 9 on a scale of 10.
The side dishes are sufficient for two and main dishes (fried rice, noodles etc.) may not be good enough for two but two plates are easily sufficient for three.
The owner (Walter, originally from Tangra in calcutta) is quite jovial and forthcoming and offers personal attention for any customizations that customers might want in their order. He is also very helpful in terms of helping you decide what and how much to@ order etc. You can really trust with selecting something for you if you can tell him what your preferences are.
I agree the ambiance isn't great but the food makes up for it. This is probably the only low cost restaurant that serves authentic Chinese food as it should be. They are a part of the Chinese settlement of Kolkata Tangra who are famous for their authentic Chinese food. Do try the honey chicken for starters. If you don't like the ambiance, order at home or pick up.
I had seen good reviews about this Kolkata (Tangra) style Chinese restaurant in Zomato, and was curious to visit the eatery. One of the weekends we went to Indiranagar and decided to have our dinner there.
The restaurant is tucked away in one corner of the Double Road and it might be easy to miss it during evening hours. The ambience is nothing to speak about. We noticed that the restaurant had very few people dining there but there was a brisk takeaway business going on. Perhaps because of the not-so-impressive decor and the location (unlike 100 ft and 80 ft Road, this isn't the busiest place in Indiranagar) the people eating out here is less but from the huge delivery business it was amply evident meant that it was popular nonetheless.
Coming to the food, we ordered Chicken Wanton Soup, Drums of Heaven, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Mixed Triple Fried Rice. The Chicken Wanton soup arrived hot and was flavorful and refreshing. The Drums of Heaven were quite good, though I have had better at places like Mainland China. The Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Mixed Fried rice made a pleasant combination and satiated our taste buds.
The service was very good. The waiters were helpful and attentive and took care of us with a smile. The pocket pinch came to just Rs 700, which is very minimal compared to many other places in Indiranagar.
Here are my ratings regarding the restaurant :
Ambience : 3/5
Food : 4/5
Service : 4.5/5
VFM : 5/5
Overall : 4/5
I would surely ask people (especially who are familiar with and like the Tangra style Chinese) to try out the restaurant. In fact for people who stay close by, a takeaway would also be a very attractive proposition.
