The hotel is located at heart of Rajajinagar 5block, serving South indian, Chinese dishes.
If you visit this place start your craving from vada sambar, Mangalore bajji, gobi manchuri later carry on with masala dose and end with a strong coffee.
Used to have paratha for lunch during my college days. It used to be 10 Rs.
Now I think it’s around 40 Rs. The curry along with paratha is one of their trademark dishes. Just get a coffee and have a good view of bashyam circle.
It's truly a landmark for Rajajinagar Bashyam Circle. I have been visiting this place since childhood and it as been the same since then. The sambhar you get here is truly exceptional and one of the best in entire Bangalore. I used to love the Masala Dosa over here but I feel it as lost it's charm over the years.
But what remains unchanged is it's Sambhar,Idlis,Poori,Coffee,Paratha and Mangalore Bajjis.
One can truly bank upon this place for breakfast.
A landmark place at Bhashyam circle, RajajiNagar. True to its name, the filter coffee is a must apart from which is the idly and masala/set dosa, good for anytime of the day and the sambhar is extremely tasty. Even though it's mainly for breakfast, it caters their throughout the day until late evenings.
Stayed at Rajajinagar for 20 years and this was the meeting point for friends and canteen for home when parents were out of town.. Maybe we have been here 1000+ times and the Max we have tried here is the coffee, next comes the masal dosa and finally the idly....
This restaurant has been there for a very very long time. Fresh South Indian food on the menu. Mangalore Bajji's are served hot & popular here.
Taste is typical to any Darshini restaurant. Can be improved. It's a landmark by itself.
For the price, you cannot have better Mangalore Bajji, Gobi Manchurian and coffee around Bashyam circle. A2B is ofcourse there but then darshini experience is something to cherish ! Try it out for an evening pit stop.
I have come here countless times for breakfast. One of the best South Indian tiffin bars in the area. Go as early as possible for sizzling hot breakfast. I recommend the idli and vada with sambar and chutney on side. Feels like heaven!
Underrated is the word which comes to my mind when I see that this place has 3.5 stars on Zomato.
This is an old war horse, has stood the test of time for over 50 years and still churns out some of the best South Indian fare in Bangalore. I repeat, it's one of the best hotels for South Indian fare in the whole of Bangalore and the only draw back is that there is no place to sit.
Special mention : Their chutney is easily the best, not the diluted one, opt for the solid (gatti) chutney.
Dosa, Idli, Vada and Upma in the mornings and evenings.
Parotha for lunch.
Mangalore Bajji and Manchurian for the evenings.
They'll make sure you return.
It's a small hotel, there always a huge rush during peak eating hours, parking is difficult to find but it's all worth it.
Kitchen is clean.
Have been visiting this place ever since I remember... Definitely more than 13 years.. This place is stuffed on Sundays because of the most famous "Jain Sambhar" (Without Onions).Dosas and Mangalore Bajji are must try. I love them..Definitely the most recognized darshini in Rajajinagar..
Canara Coffee Center DOES NOT DO HOME DELIVERY!!! ( got the info straight frm the source)... otherwise when it comes to taste, the food is absolutely delicious, the cafe centre ambience sucks though. too crowded most of the time , don't even have space to stand without someone pushing u out of the way
Canara coffee center had been my all time fav place to easy paratha 😍 the paratha tastes amazing here... It's leaves you looking your fingers...
It's located at the busy bhashyam circle. An evening place to have snacks and the coffee which they are known for. The Khara bath was good to taste. It's old and worth a try
This place was very near to our school.. We(me and my friends) had lot of memory associated with this place... This hotel is situated in bhasyam circle.... The place is famous for parota and that tasty + spicy saagu which comes with it... :-)
One of the oldest cafes in Bangalore n yet serves the best snacks ever! The coffee is brilliant n Mangalore bhajji's are the best you'll find in Bangalore. It's a must visit if you're around Rajajinagar.

Canara Coffee Center is one of the oldest eatery places in North Bangalore. They are famous for the South Canara style Sambar which is a combination of sweet and spicy. Well, it’s a small Self-Service joint in Bashyam Circle, Rajajinagar. I visited this place may be five to six years before based on one of my friends recommendations. He uses to visit every day there for a breakfast. People are very courteous and polite in CCC. Prices are quite decent and worth what we pay. This restaurant comes under legendary listings.
Idly Vada Sambar and Kharabath with Coffee shouldn’t miss here!
Overall:
Taste: 4/5
Ambiance: 3.5/5
Quality: 4/5
Service: 4/5
VFM: 4/5
A self service restaurant that brings back old Bengaluru vibes. Taste has remained same for decades. Must visit in Rajajinagar.
This is a renowned cafe since years and serves best breakfasts.
It is small in land area and has parking available for only upto 6 two-wheelers. There is no service so one must self serve.
Masala dosE, Idli Vade sambar, Kesaribath, Manglore Bajji and Coffee are my favourites here. Kesaribath is only available on Sundays and it gets sold out fast by 9.30am so be an early bird to savour the hot-seller..
Thanks :)
This is a typical darshini type hotel, parota is the main highlight here , big size parota served here very rarely found , taste is classy with crispy and soft combo, no dining available , mangaluru bajji is crunchy outside and soft inside, pakoda is different here, parking difficult for both two wheeler and car, price is pocket friendly , overall experience must try out once old darshini ....
Awesome little place, taste is always great. Been there atleast 20 times, masala dosa, but Mangalore bajji is one of their trademark recipes.
Canara coffee centre is definately the favourite place of rajajinagarites anytime for Masala dose, pulao and coffee always. No doubt in that.everyone must try their pulao for which it's most known for.
I was having parota back in 2005 at canara cafe when studying in MEI polytechnic. After almost 16 years visited this place to have parota I feel the same taste but little bit change in curry style..it kind of nostalgia for me...😊
The hygiene, quality and taste have been maintained the same for years,
U have been visiting this hotel since my childhood days.
Their idly Vada is good.
In the noon their parota is huge if one have 2 parota it fills your tummy.
Parota with peace curry, mangaluru bajji, masala dosa and coffee is a must try dish.. everything mentioned tastes the best..
Very good filter coffee 12 Rs.
Oldest hotel in Rajajinagar.
Idli sambhar at its best.
Kerala parathas for lunch is super
Mangalore bajji is worth eating
Strong coffee lovers can't miss this joint
Situated in the iconic bhasyam 🔴 circle
Good place to have your south food, the best food is to have Paratha in the noon.
The is kept neat & clean though it is near the junction, two wheeler parking can be done if not crowded else we need to park near by place. Four wheeler no parking available
Very good south Indian foods, very old, it is one of the favourite place for old bangaloreans specially for those who live in rajajinagar
One of the best Parotas available in Bangalore. Highly recommended.
Tasty food at competitive prices. Parotha with tasty curry is the best and is not available anywhere else like this. It is a self service restaurant. Other items are also very good. Coffee is simply superb. Quick service.
I am a big fan of their Mangalore Bajji and the Paratha Curry. The taste is too good and even the quality. I never miss their Mangalore Bajji, everytime I visit. Even the South Indian meals is quite tasty. Do visit them, if you want to become a fan of their Mangalore Bajji and Paratha Curry like me.
P.S. - Have not tried Paratha Curry after the Covid19 but the taste of Mangalore Bajji is still the same.
Have been visiting this restaurant ever since I was a child, I used to visit this place 5 times in a week, they serve excellent dosas, Mangalore bondas, parotha and the list is endless! Would recommend everyone visiting Bangalore, especially in rajajinagar region to visit canara Coffee center ❤❤
