Wonderful food, wonderful place and wonderful people...no words to speak but have you EVER heard of bakery that would melt in your mouth,..be it cupcakes to mudpies to brownies to my favorite tiny bakes, the "blondies". If you have a sweet tooth or a savory, and do want to have a pocket friendly experience Cake Genie is the place to go!! Added to that, the Owner Vijay is an absolute gentleman to the core and gives me FREEBIES at the end of the day (yes you heard it right!! lasagna and sandwiches just to taste). A friend requested me to pick up their order from this pâtisserie, I was impressed by their affordable prices without compromising quality.
I would highly recommend the seasonal strawberry cheesecake and the mud-pie has a nice biscuit base with some coffee essence on top of the chocolate ganache. Anyone in need of party cupcakes will be happy with their selection as well.
Fresh and delicious, right from the red velvet cupcake to their blueberry cheesecake, their melt in mouth treats will leave you craving for more. The mixed fruit gateau and pineapple gateau is loaded with fresh fruits and layered with light, fluffy cream and is easily one of the best cakes on the menu.
Probably the tastiest cheesecakes I’ve had in quite a long time. Would recommend it over some of the more popular bake houses around. Not just the cheesecake, even the apple pie which I’m generally not a huge fan of was pretty neat. The chocolate mousse also one of the highlights of this little place.
The pine apple cake was moist and yum. At first I thought, is this real! Can cake really be this way but the way the flavour holds together convinces you that you were meant to be. Order cake. Order pineapple. Save the world.
This outlet is so small that I have never noticed it despite commuting on CMH road. Luckily it caught my eye when we were looking for a cake shop to buy a cake for our friend's birthday. Applied sudden brake, walked in and picked up a cake without much deliberation. The cakes displayed appear plain and boring but the one we picked surpsingly tasted good. Definitely visiting again for further exploration.

Anyone who knows me would never see me walking into a cake shop unless of course I intend to pick up a cake for some occasion. Located on CMH Road, I have crossed this place many times and surprisingly never visited here before. In fact I've been to the next door ClinRad facility and noticed this place but always thought they had only cakes.
Boy was I in for a surprise when out of curiosity I decided to drop in. As expected they have a decent array of cakes on display. But I was surprised to see the different types or cheesecakes they had to offer from the regular Blueberry to the seasonal Mango cheesecake to the Indian Gulab Jamun Cheesecake. I was hungry so I was quite pleased when a piping hot lasagne was brought from their kitchen. As usual though I walked in for a quick bite I knew I had to pack some stuff for the kids to try.
Though I'm not a Cheesecake person I found their cheesecakes to be consistent (I tried 4 types!), not too sweet giving the feeling to keep eating - just one more bite!!
I love a good lasagne and have tried it from the posh five star restaurant to the smaller cafes. This little shop's lasagne surprised me as it was prepared well and was perfect for my hunger. Quiche is something you don't get in many places so I was quite happy to see it on their menu.
In addition to the above mentioned they have macarons, cookies and many more interesting desserts. They have a made to order Kahlua Cake and Grand Marnier Cake which I intend to try out for one of the birthday celebrations at home in the near future.
Sometimes small shops act like treasure troves. Cake Genie on CMH road is one such quaint place.Apparently , they are operating here since 2012, I just don’t know how I never spotted this shop earlier. They specialize in cakes and savouries and have variety of cheesecakes on offer.Their signature dish is the”gulab jamun cheesecake”. It was very different with actual gulab jamun pieces tucked neatly inside the cheesecake.

Happen to drop here after a tiring day to catch some of their sweet and savoury delicacies. A tiny place located on the streets of Indiranagar can be your dessert heaven.

The place is a cute little dessert shop. Probably has some stools to sit and eat but would totally prefer to back the delicacies on the go or order in. Well, lit and everything is displayed on well.

Stroganoff is basically a beef delicacy but I had it with chicken stock here. Somewhat sticky rice served with chicken mushroom gravy on top. Amazing buttery in taste and definitely worth a try.

Mini tarts with filling of spinach corn and cheese. One bites with a scrumptious taste.

Never seen so artistic lasagna ever. Multiple layers layered with cheese and veggies.
🍛Veg Quiche
Perfectly well-made crust with vegetables such as spinach, corn, and eggplant. I felt a little weird overall taste maybe because of eggplant. One portion is huge.

Went here randomly, which turned out to be heaven for people with sweeth tooth. I ordered baked cheese cake which was mouthwatering, even I could had another one too. But stopped myself because of my increasing weight.
A tiny Cake outlet located right next to CMH hospital. No seating space as such. Apart from cakes they do have Pies,Quiche and Lasagna. Would highly recommend their Blueberry Cheesecake. The Chocolate Mud pie and Tiramisu was also pretty good. The Tiramisu had a very good balance of sweet. This would be a option if you really don't want a sugar rush as it has just the perfect amount of sweetness,maybe you can say slightly less sweet but not at all on the other side. But, their cupcakes were quite disappointing. It was way too sweet and the icing also very normal and not good quality one. We also tried their Veg Quiche and it was decent.
This place has the most amazing cakes and pastries. I've ordered my birthday cake from here and everyone loved it. Every time I've been here I've had delicious and fresh pastries. Love this place and would definitely recommend to everyone.
I had bought a chocolate cake from this place to celebrate my work anniversary. I must say the cake tasted amazing. It was so soft and chocolaty with right amount of cream. Plus it was so reasonable. I just paid Rs. 425 for half a kg. I will definitely buy cakes again from this place.
An excellent place to have some delicious deserts ! I have been recently trying many of their stuff and most them are really good. I love the red velvet and chocolate delight cakes which I bought it as my friend's bday cake. The blueberry cheese cake, Oreo symphony and Carmel tarts are awesome. The place doesn't have much seating arrangement, just a table is available and it would be mostly occupied. Best to take away. I recently tried the chicken sandwich and it was very good.
One stop destination for variety of cakes, we tried mango cake and it was mesmerizing . Right from the presentation to the taste everything was perfect . We have tried couple of other cakes too and they are very good !!!! I can rate it as the best cake/pastry/Muffins shop :)
Have bought their chocolate truffle and it was so moist and yummy.We usually get their lemon pound cake which is so good and it reminds me of our childhood where we used to have those like umpteen times.
I Cross this place almost everyday but never had tried it . My friends had got mango cake for my birthday .. the best mango cake I ever had filled with raw mango slices all over . It's the best cake .. presentation looked sooo pleasant .. then I wanted to try pineapple for my parents anniversary . I asked them to fill more of pineapple bits inside the cake . My parents loved it . And today got chocolate truffle pie for my sister omg it tasted sooo good .. the staff is so friendly they suggest you based on ur likes and there speciality. Good to find such place .. next on list is the blueberry dessert.. 😋

I bought a chocolate muffin and truffle pastry.
The rich chocolate colour enchanted me and so did the strong aroma. They tasted wonderful and was smooth in texture. However, it was a bit chewy like bubble gum. If this factor is improved, I would give them five stars.
Ordered a blueberry cheese cake for a colleagues birthday and it turned out to be amazing. Where others like cakewalk throw tons of attitude and bluntly refuse home delivery on small orders, cake genie happily accepted it. Nor was the cake sinful, but also delivered bang on time and no fuss!

This seems to be an underrated place. Bought a blueberry sponge cake for my aunt's birthday and it was really yummy! Everyone loved it, not just me. Perfectly moist and thankfully not excessively sweet. Looking forward to trying their chocolate cakes now.
Seems like another run-of-the mill dessert place. We tried four of the items on the menu of which the apple pie was the best. The rest were just about okay.
Those mini cuteee cupcakes were just amazing which I bought from cake Genie.. just amazing .. the cake too was very good ..had not expected it to be that grt..
Pocket friendly cake place, I have picked up a lot of cakes here for my friends,not out of the world stuff but tasty enough to be well liked by all. The snacks here are also decent - the lasagne, sandwich etc.
They do not have a great range and do not seem very flexible, but I have ordered huge cakes for office purposes and the service is good.

You would easily miss this little Pastry outlet if you are not looking for it. Located close to CMH bus stand, opposite Lawrence and Mayo store is Cake Genie.
We at work have ordered friends' birthday cakes from here, on and off for the past few years. The prices are reasonable and they are good with keeping up with set delivery timings. I have also tried the mini cupcakes with friends a couple of times.
They have small selection of cupcakes, pastries, gateaux and pies on a regular basis. The cupcakes and gateaux are my favourites here. The cupcakes are light and easy on the stomach and pocket, and the gateaux have generous fruit topping. The
pies are alright in my opinion.
Tapan, the guy at the counter has always been helpful and friendly. The outlet is small, there is a little table for 2, to sit and try the pastry or the pie. The lasagna is also well made. That's the only savoury I have tried here. For the pricing, taste, texture of the pastries, flexibility in altering the cakes per our request and the prompt service, I always count on this place for last minute orders. They don't compromise on the quality of birthday cakes, one thing I have noticed through all the orders I have placed.
I would call this a reliable cake shop, aptly named Cake Genie.
Went on to check out their menu. Nearly took away 10 to 12 varieties and all were excellent. THIRAMISU utter to the core. Would like to recommend for its freshness, friendliness & quality.....
We usually order cake from here for any of our friends of relatives birthday. Its great. And I was pretty much surprised from the fact that they make some fancy cakes too. I have attached a photograph of a cake which we ordered. This was a choclate truflle cake with pink outer cream covering for my kids birthday. It was super yummy. Specially I like the fruit gateau cake from them. :)

So without contemplating much I headed straight to your outlet in Indiranagar. And as a GENIE you satisfied my cravings immediately. I parceled Black Forest Gateau and Blueberry Cheesecake...both were sooooooo yumm..the taste was heavenly!! I'm not a Masterchef but I would love to give your baker-chef 10/10. Got a 5 kg Eggless Fresh Fruit Gateau for Office Party. Everyone liked and appreciated. It was finger licking tasty. Would definitely recommend over other arrogant cake shops. They delivered to door step and very hospitable and accommodating wrt size, dimensions & flavors. Once again, I would recommend to give Cake genie a chance and allow their finest bakers to surprise with delicious gateaus.
My friend got this cake for me which was heavenly. This is one of the best cake I've ever had. Belgian chocolate cake with fresh strawberries is a must try for all the chocolate lovers. Strawberries were there inside every layer of the cake. I'm looking forward to try out other flavors as well. :)
I ordered the lemon pie and black forest for Christmas; I loved the lemon pie although it was a bit sour than how I usually like it but other than that I loved it.
The black forest was not bad.

They provide the freshest cakes. Once I bought cake from them almost during closing hours and it was still fresh. Staff is very friendly and understanding.

Cake Genie is one place where the cup cakes are really tasty! and their mini cup-cakes look so adorable. We took our birthday cake from Cake Genie and it was really yum.

Pineapple pastry is heavenly. DO NOT MISS THAT. Cakes are also good. Small place but they offer some quality stuff. I live in indiranagar so I've been there many times and every time it was worth it.
It is a small outlet with variety of cakes.... I have tried the apple pie and pineapple cake... And they were gooooood!!! :) the place is not big enough for a group to hang out.. However,take away is always there... I am looking forward to visit Cake Genie again :)

Eating here was an absolute delight .. the highlights of their menu are their cheesecakes and quiches . For all those who love cheesecakes , you might know how difficult it is to find that one place which never stops making them and as of now ..this is it . One must try their quiches too . its simply amazing , you wouldn't mind the indulgence. But let me warn you, this is not the kind of place where you would want to bring a huge hungry group as the shop is quiet small and max 3 people can sit and eat there .
It's a small outlet right beside the CMH hospital on the CMH road. The cakes here are amazing and the pastries delicious. Must try Tiramisu!

It is easy to miss this place on CMH road, but if you have been there once, I am sure you will find ways of going there again and again. Some of the best cakes & pastries that you will find in Bangalore. Had the blueberry cheese cake and unlike at other places, I found it extremely light. Have also tried the Mango cheesecake and chocolate mousse and found them absolutely brilliant as well.
Limited seating is one constraint you will have to manage with.
Mango cheese cake is the seasonal highlight.

Cake Genie – Awesome. Their pastries are heavenly. Sometimes I do skip dinner so that i can indulge in their sinfully delightful dessert. It is a small place and don’t let the size fool you!
This is one of the places where you cannot just pick out one or two favourites.We pretty much order here for almost all our colleague’s birthday. They customize the cake the way you want it (We are a brunch of crazy people, who had demanded way too much and yup, they did it!) and charge peanuts for it.

Good place to have chocolate truffles. But not the best. The first time I got a chocolate truffle its was good. The second time it stinks like a spoiled one. If you buy a single piece cakes it would be very costly. It would be cheap if you plan to buy a whole cake. But now a days even the single cakes like chocolate truffle and other cakes are also not quite good and they charge more. Service responsiveness depends on their mood and many times they are horrible.

This is a low cost version of Spoonful of Sugar which almost a similar menu....
Its offerings are actually quite value for money..
Flavors are quite nice ..and pricing point is quite affordable which means u don't need to mortgage your house to enjoy a chocolate cake :)
Puns apart, however it lacks finesse in flavors which I m hoping comes from using substitutes of expensive ingredients
A very fine bakery in Indiranagar. They have a couple of chairs incase you want to get a quick bite. I have been there a couple of times. Both to get quick bites. Mini cup cakes are a treat you should not miss. Had my first Red Velvet cake here and would never forget that.

You can get one of Best cheese cakes here. Staffs are warm n always ready to serve you these sweet creamy cakes. A bit pricy but all product are worth of it.
The cakes here are probably the best in town... The staff is warm and is always willing to take one through the range, the types of cakes etc. Perfect place for a dessert, bday cakes etc.. Not to forget, the prices here are realistic!

I had been hearing about this place from friends for quite a while but happened to go here and had a nice time. Was feeling particularly grumpy with the flu and this place did make me feel good :P
It is a tiny little place with seating for 4-5 people at two miniscule desks but the food was very good. We tried an assortment of cupcakes which they have in two size variants - regular and mini, pretty inventive. The cupcakes were warm and gooey with melted centres - so yum! After which we tried the tiramisu - again it was warm and delicious! The owner was so gratified with us ah-ing and ooh-ing over his cupcakes that he gave us freshly made hot hot cheese croquettes on the house!
Now if that doesn't make you feel pampered I dont know what will :)
However, I went overboard and ordered a few cupcakes to go , they had warmed them too and by the time I had them a couple of hours later they had become rock hard - disappointing.
So head to the store and indulge your sweet tooth, but if you are going for a take away - make sure they do not heat it up for you.
But overall, lovely place, VFM and really wonderful service. Head there and have a good time.

I have developed a real liking for this place. I have eaten here many times now and I have never been disappointed. Though slightly pricy, it's still more value for money than spoonful of sugar in the same area.

This review is completely in regards to the service experience at this outlet. The taste of the food was also good but the sweetness in the customer handling of this team was definately sweeter than the best pasteries baked by their chefs!!!
My encounter with Cake Genie happened after a disappointing turn of events at my (previously) favourite cake store at Indiranagar. They are a small store enough for a group of frnds to feel comfy in each others company!!!
Getting back to my experience with this store; I was hunting for a wedding cake for a friends wedding bash. I wanted a three tier cake with some customized decoration (in terms of colors and minor specifications). A very small request turned down by two other players in the market. They really acted as a magic Genie & put together a beautiful cake in a very limited time.
My order was a pineapple, eggless cake :). The pary was a huge sucess & so was the cake; Thanku team Cake Gennie for making our moment so special!!!
My friend had been raving about the blueberry cheese cake and the cupcakes at Cake genie so when it was her bday she took me here and boy was I glad!

So, I had heard about a new place in Indiranagar that was serving a mean dessert. Being a big foodie, I decided to give the place a try. Turns out that this place was being run by the same chef who used to work at Spoonful of Sugar. He decided to branch out on his own. Absolutely delicious desserts at half the cost of Spoonful of Sugar. I absolutely loved the fruit biscuits that I packed for home. The cupcakes were delicious. Eating the Banoffee pie was an out of the world experience! I love the usual chocolate cakes and mousse cakes and cheesecakes as well. All in all, if you're looking for some great tasting desserts, be sure not to give Cake Genie a miss!
One of the stops on my sugar trip was Cake Genie at Indiranagar. Pastries are priced between Rs.30 for bite sized cupcakes to about Rs.75-150 for chocolate pastries, cheesecakes, etc.
A friend ordered a pineapple pastry (Rs 75, in pic) and was very happy with the generous pieces of fresh fruit in the pastry. But the tiramisu slice had both of us wanting more of it. Of the melt-in-the mouth ilk, everything was good and blessed about the slice.
Our next stop here will be for the cheesecakes, especially the oreo one!
Small place with just a table and four chairs, nothing much in terms of ambiance. Apt for takeaways or cake orders and not the kind of place you would want to linger at. Parking may be a hassle too.
Was looking for some other place and found cake genie.I went in there to order a Birthday cake and Sunil was the guy who took order,very warm and welcoming.I ordered a Mixed Fruit Gauteau for somebody really really really special..Delivered on time, looking awesome and man it was delicious and heavenly..

First try at Cake genie. Skeptically ordered an oreo chocolate cake for my son and it was awwwesome. My son loves oreo biscuits and this cake was a treat. He loved it and could not stop eating just one slice. Nicely decorated and professionally written greeting on the cake. Keep up the good effort!
The best pastry shop in Bangalore (after Sunny's restaurant's) and I have tried all the places in town. Only to this one I do return. Lasagna was good too. Genie is a genius.
