While I was in Bangalore, this was the place I loved to eat out. They served fresh hot food. I loved the south Indian food, idli, served with hot sambar was the best breakfast option. Was my best option for breakfast and dinner during my stay in Bangalore.
I love this place. When ever I am in BTM layout I would surely come here to have great fn tasty food. There special Mysore Masala Dosa is really yummy to have. I would like to visit this place again n again and again.
This is the place where I eat every now and then. When I don't want to cook dinner, or for quick south Indian breakfast, family lunches we end up here. Love the Sambhar vada, dosas, upma, coffee, Kadhai mashrooms, Aloo mutter, Gobhi Manchurian. Very thing is good. Its almost 5 years since I am a regular visitor here and the quality of the food is very good and consistent very time.
I used to go here almost every day when I lived in BTM. They offer the usual Udupi fare, but I particularly loved their masala Dosa and khara bhaat. Their coffee too was irresistible. Hard with balanced sugar. They also have a separate seating on the first floor and it has a really nice ambience.
The ambience is Ok. We ordered a south Indian deluxe thali & north Indian deluxe thali. The servings were unlimited and the taste was fine. The north Indian food too surprisingly tasted well.
This place is one of those underrated South Indian joints. I stay really close to UKV and it has been my family's favourite places to visit for a quick breakfast for years. They serve an endless amount of options, are super quick with service and very hygienic for a small restaurant. We have tried most of their menu options but I personally go for the ghee roast, buns roti or paper dosa and they always fail to disappoint!
This one's my favourite hangout for lunch... Tasty food n breezy place. A great combination..!!! I love their north Indian cuisine varieties. A perfect balance of spices.. a very affordable place for a lunch party. Been there for a hundred times..
I love this place to have food. You can have traditional south indian as well as north indian tandoori food.
I love roof top open space for having food. You can order any dish there and you will love it. Food taste is better than most big restaurants I have been to.
Food cost: 4.5/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Taste: 5/5
Options: 5/5
Service: 4/5
This is the place where I have my lunch regularly. Awesome place for both south and north indian food. Although the upstairs cost more than the downstair darshini, it is worth the money.
This is a good place to have some everyday hygienic north Indian and south Indian food especially lunch. Decent food at decent prices. Veg hyderabadi is good and spicy when you are bored of paneer and baby corn. Baby corn manchurian is better in Oye Teri. There's good jalebi here too.
This small little place next to shopper's stop in Bannerghatta road has always been my favorite. It's there from a very long time and one of those few places that serves a the managlore buns.
And my oh my, what buns are those!
Dosa and other breakfast items will also be good and you can surely try it out once.

Been there many times,U can have traditional south indian and ok kind of north indian food. It is cheap and best option for south indian food.I like rava idli, idli vada, dosa's option many more south indian food.... Quick service and sitting place is nice.
Just another tasty, cheap and hygienic place to have light snacks and meal. There are so many in bangalore and I find all of them good. Dosas are Idli are the best. North Indian is also good.
I like this place ....good n hygienic nothing indian as well as South indian cuisine available...It is tasty in short...If u are not in a mood to cook for lunch n dinner ..U can turn up to this place..It is reasonable ..
The quality of the food is good. I had Mangalore buns which were tasty. Particularly sambar is good and mallige (jasmine) idly is also good.
This place is my saviour whenever my dabba Wala ditches. The place looks similar to all the "sagars" and "vihars" in Bangalore but this one just has a small edge over them when it comes to food. Everything is good here including the south Indian style north Indian food and south Indian style Chinese.
Not many south India options in this part of Bannerghatta road / BTM. Whenever we are at Shoppers stop we drop by at this place for a quick bite and some refreshing coffee especially after a long shopping spree.
Located just next to shoppers stop place is known for its south Indian tiffins and savoury.
I think the place has a dine in option upstairs but never tried.
Not too crowded and a good option.
another great place in BTM/Near Gopalan vacinity, classic veg place. ...
i use have breakfast almost regularly here, regular south indian food, love their sambhar taste, yummy .. dosas, vada all are tasty ... ground floor is standing arrangement more suited for quick breakfast ... 1st floor have seating arrangement both AC & Non AC .. 3.5/5 service is also really good , although a bit slow sometimes management should be careful with this ... 3/5coming to food , the stuff is really amazing .. from smacks to yummy panner curries , special mention to panner tikka & kadahi panner my favourites, even their naan are really delicious ... to chinese stuff or south indian .. everything is super delicious .. totally paisa vasool .. no brainer .. definitely recommended ...!!!

This is nice place for both South Indian and North Indian food. South Indian dishes like Idly, Dosas, Chow chow bath are quite good and the chutney and Sambhar add mroe flavour to it. I tried few North Indian curry those all goes good.
A good place to visit for South or North Indian Food.
In my Next visit, ( on 8/25 ) i tried Tettil Idli , Vada Tea and Coffee.. Idli and Vada was good. THe Red Chutney and Gun Powder enhance to taste. at the other side Tea disappoint as it didn't test fresh to me but Coffee was good.
After shopping in shopper's stop, I wanted to have a quick bite. This restaurant is strategically located.
The food here doesn't taste particularly good but the quality is good. The lassi was thick and frothy.
The jalebis were very tasty - the right amount of sugar.
Will update after having a better meal!
Update: we ordered panner fried rice, rotis, panneer kofta and gobi manchurian dry in the service area.
The service area has a very simple and pleasant ambience. The gobi was succulent and spicy. The rest of the order took so long to come!
The rotis were large. The panneer fried rice was very tasty. So was the panneer kofta.
The rest rooms and the wash area were bad.
A satisfying meal on the whole . Will definitely come again.
Nice little place near office! Go here very often for lunch. Its lite, quick and tasty. Masala dosa and coffee are my favourite. The ambience is also quite nice. They have this big open space as well as cozy inside seating, other than the self service area.
A good place for south Indian breakfast, with the typical offerings. Dosas of all types are a good option as they come with good potato filling, spicy-sweet sambhar and tasty chutney. Their uttapam with coconut, tomato and onion is also very tasty. But what I absolutely love is the thicker version of the chutney which is served with another offering- buns. The combination is just right with the slightly sweet buns and moderately spicy chutney. And to finish a nice breakfast, a nice cup of tea... Or coffee if you'd like!
Been here lot of times as it was close to office.
Its neat and clean.
You have standing as well as dine, ordinary Service.
South Meals is good. North meals is average.
Juices are also average.
Best taste I felt is Shavige Bath especially a red chutney which they provide.
Thatte Idly and Jelabi is also very tasty.
Cost is a bit higher.
A good value for money Udupi restuarant. Almost all items are average or above. I personally go there for their Neer dosa, Pooril, Vada, Rava Idli etc..
Their Pongal was one of the Best we could get in Bangalore South. But for some reason they changed the formula and is not that great anymore.
Their South Indian thali is also good value for Rs.40/-
One of those typical udupi hotels in BTM. This place is right next to Shoppers Stop in Bannerghatta road.
Ground floor has self service facility and you can go upstairs to sit and eat.
Idli sambar and Mysore masala dosa are good here. They also serve typical mangalore buns, goli baje and kadubu.
I've also tried their North Indian dishes. Pretty decent.
I recommend this place since it's pocket friendly and tasty enough for the money you spend.
Cheap and tasty food. We had North Indian, Chinese and South Indian. All of them are decent.
Szechuan noodles were tasty, had a lot of garlic, we're not very hot and for some strange reason had cashews. North Indian and South Indian Thalis also had almost all of the components OK. for the low cost, you still get tomato soup and desert.
They have both a sitting and a standing section. The service in sitting section can be improved.
I can't just say enough about this place, since I have been going here for breakfast and dinner for like 3 years. You get what you expect from an Udupi restaurant. Their breakfast menu with Idli ( sometimes thatte Idli ), chow chow bath, bisi bele bath and Dosas is rich in taste and authentic, with which we have filter coffee to go for.
I am not a fan of the thali for lunch .
Roti and paneer based gravy, spicy handi biriyani, economic Mysore masala dosa have been my dinner options for these years. I would always visit again .
Service needs a mention , since it is one of the best I have seen in Karnataka restaurants.
Nice place !!! Good Food !!! Hygienic !!!
Have to try some genuine ones like Mal life idli , tatte idli , pongal, neer dose & Mangalore bajjis !!!
Coffee is one among the best ones which I personally had in Namma Bengaluru in the past 7 yrs !!!
A decent hotel ideally located on the road next to shoppers stop. This restaurant has stand-eat option at the ground floor and open air service wing at the first floor. I must say, the open air service wing looks much pretty from the road. However, since I dropped here for breakfast I couldn't able to try open air service wing and also their north Indian cuisine.
FOOD: I ordered Vada-Sambar which was just above average. Though sambar was good it lacked spiciness. Vada was not crisp & didn't satisfied my taste buds. Then I ordered masal dosa which was quite good. Crispiness was even on all part of dosa and aloo palya was good. Chutney was good as usual.
They do serve typical Mangalore food like Bunns and kadubu which is eye catching. Service was quick and friendly. Price is moderate and parking wouldn't be a problem for two wheelers. Since kitchen occupies 80% of the ground floor, it feels hygienic.
Will definitely visit this restaurant again to experience the open air dining area.

Small and Awesome! Quick service and tasty food.... Good place to go for 2-4 people group.... Try this out and you'll not disappointed.... :)
NYC place...clear n hygienic...good quantity tasty food at a reasonable price...but dine in service isn't DAT fast...it maintains its standard...Happy Eating
Good place to stop for both South Indian and North Indian food. You can either grab a quick bite on the self service ground floor area or take your time up at the service area. I have found this restaurant pleasing whenever I have been, with quick service and tasty food. All the staple South Indian dishes like Idly, Dosas, Uthappams, Chow chow bath are quite good and the chutney they provide it with just enhances the taste even more. Roti + any North Indian curry goes well here, few dishes that we've tasted are Malai Koftha, Paneer butter masala, Veg Hyderabadi and Veg shahi kurma. All of these have one thing in common, thick gravy with a sweet base to the curry which gives you enough time to feel the spiciness in it too. It makes the veggies just melt in your mouth, lovely feeling. Often the Ghee rice is a take out dish for us. The rice is mostly surplus with cashews and how can anyone don't like that! Been visiting this place since around 3 years and intend to do so for quite some time to come.
Located at about 500 m from my place, Udupi Krishna Vihar is my breakfast joint for Weekends. On the Ground floor is the Self Service section, where as the first floor is again divided into 2 sections, the AC one & the Non AC one.
The Idli's served here is just mouthwatering. It is really soft and they serve warm Sambhar & Chutney with it. The Plain Butter Dosa is also good here. And to top it all they have an amazing Filter Coffee.
I have visited this place for Lunch/Dinner as well and the North Indian food served here is also decent. The Paneer Butter Masala, Gobi Manchurian & the North Indian Thali are the few items which I have tried here and it was good.
The service is fantastic and the staff is always smiling.
Descent food tagged with over price.
Walkable from my place and always go there. Thatta idly and rava masala dosa are favorites in tiffins section and in the restaurant our favorite is panneer burji with stuffed kulchas.
The restaurants near by, hygiene and service at the restaurant is always good. Worth the price and fast foods is very good for South Indian. Impressed with north Indian thali as well.
Yesterday, with my family I went to have as usual lunch in Udupi Krishna Vihar Veg Restaurant which is very close to Shoppers Stop, Bannerghatta Road. We ordered both South & North Indian Thali. Food was good in taste & for the first timer this place would be an ideal for Veg Thali. Service was also good & on time. I will definitely visit again.
Quick service (standing, seated, open air, A/C) and decent food. They serve standard udupi fare, nothing exceptional but everything tastes rather good. There is a wide variety to choose from for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
its good...but now they have increased their prices. Even one ordinary vada costs Rs.20. Other than that, its very good to have the meals.
Here Breakfast Is very Quality and Quantitative
I Had Onion Ravva Dosa and it was Super Tasty
Authentic South Indian Cuisine at a very reasonable price and that too with awesome food quality...
