This outlet was initially started beside Kaggis bakery and now has been re located on the main road with some place to sit and stand!
Undoubtedly it is one of the best place to eat chats in Hanumanth nagar. Preparing their own Puri which is very crispy and the masala has a unique taste.
Pani Puri and Masala puri are the highlights of this place!
Place is clean and has hygenic.

The perfect masala puri. This guy has been around for ages and does other things such as idli and dosa. But you have to try the chaats when you are here. Especially the masala puri.
A review for this chat stall is LONG overdue! It is more than a decade old! I previously resided in Hanumanathanagar, and used to enjoy the chats here as early as 2002!
All their chats are exceptional, but I would choose their Sev Puri as my pick. Nothing even comes close! I remember that whenever I visit, I just consume two plates of Sev Puri, and make it my dinner! Bhel Puri and Pani Puri are other worthy mentions.
I'm pleasantly surprised that these guys have managed to maintain the same level of quality since more than a decade! The prices are sloightly on the higher side, but considering the taste, it's well worth every rupee.

I still remember me and my dad going to this place when I was a kid and me ordering Masala puri most of the times. And, I'm talking about 7 years back from now. Yes, this place is that old.
I wanted to review this from a long time, but I hadn't been there for long time now. So, today I just made up my mind and went there!!
So, today we ordered a masala puri (yes again :P), Bhel Puri and paani puri.
Shiva's make one of the best masala puri around this locality. I'm mind blown that their taste is still the same!! Paani puri is very nice too! The Bhel you get here is pretty dry, and many of you wouldn't like it. But, it's good in it's own way.
Prices are a bit high when compares to other chaat shops.
Would love to go back! :)

In my locality, this place serves the best masala puri. Just love the masala puri here. Can't get enough of it. I would definitely recommend this place for any chaat lover.
I have been visiting this place since i was a kid and the taste hasn't changed a bit even today. Love the chats over there. Mouth watering!!! Especially Sev Puri and Masala Puri are my personal favorites of this place!! Am ready to have anytime here! :P

This was the place where I was first introduced to this whole world of mouth-watering Indian chats. A frequent jaunt for chats in childhood, I subconsciously compare the taste and quality of chats from other places to the ones here. Anything nearing this standard will be a hit on my list. From the tiny side stall to the now quite-spacious-for-a-chat stall outlet, satisfies the cravings of your tastebuds without any compromise of hygiene. The place is clean, service is fast and staff very friendly. Masala puris and sev puris are my favourites here. They have a stall of south Indian breakfasts too, which I have never been able to even try owing to the fact that I never will have any space left in my appetite once I start to eat chats here!!
A friend introduced me to this place 8 years ago and even today its the first place which comes to mind when I crave for chats (which is very rare). Whenever we go here we start with a masala puri followed by a pani puri, dahi puri and climax with shared bhel among friends. Old place was bit small to handle the crowd but new place does the charm. Now you will get delicious masala dosa along with their famous chats. People ask me what is the difference in chats flavours when you eat at different places and I must say there isn't one if you are not looking for it. Everyone will try to add a pinch of speciality with some spices to make famous chats. I would recommend this to anyone in neighborhood and to occasional visitors. Don't miss this.
A small chat shop on the busy hanumanthnagar main road. Though being a small place it has provided couple of tables inside and outside which is quite surprising. Another unique thing about this place is that along with chats it even serves idly and dosas. So if you're craving for a bite of chat and want to have something else (idly/dosa)in the end to fill your stomach it's a perfect place.
The chat is prepared really well. Masala puri and dahi puri are really tasty and must try items. Bhel puri is avoidable. The service is pretty fast. Preparation seemed hygienic though not 100%.

Best chats ever!!!! Best sev puri you can ever get to eat! If you get a longing for it, man you can't do anything but to go and eat there! Brilliant crispy dosa with coconut chutney... Similar taste to that of vidhyarthi bhavan.. I'm not exaggerating
Excellent variety. Its just located round the corner. It was very crowded but the food was worth waiting for.
We had MAsala puri which seemed to be a plate on every customers palm. It was mild and brilliant.
Did not fancy the paani puri here, it was just too spicy and I did not enjoy the filling too. Masala dosa was the best here. Crispy thick dosa served with fresh coconut chutney.

Its located on the main road, with very less seating capacity and no ambience. But the taste overrules it.
The chats served here has great taste, must try. I loved them. I have to say this is one of the best chat centre.
The place gets crowded too much in the evening time. Hence better to go little early, sit back and savor the food.
This one is easy to local at Hanumantha Nagar Main Road close to my grandmother's place and hence know this corner from a long time, remember those school holidays to grandmother's home and grandpa take me there almost every evening.. Coming to the taste and food their chats comes close to the match of karnataka bale house situated at Chamarajpet main road.. Some time if not crowded the taste is much better than kbh. The service is quite fast, quality and taste is good too.. Love their chats.. First in my list is kbh second is shivas..

This was very highly recommended by my cousins and is very close to where I stay and hence, paid a visit there.
Being a part of the serpentine queue there, we Ordered for their legendary masala puri and it was pure bliss...the puri with which it was given was crispy and nice!
The pani puri was average and nothing close to their masala puri and hence, the rating looks skewed (it would've been 5 if I had the masala puri alone)

If you wanna have a awesome masala puri, then this is a very good chat corner to visit. I haven't tried their breakfast, but chats are pretty good! This corner can be easily located by taking the road on the right of Kaggis bakery.

I am going to this place to chats from the past 10 years. And I have to say, nobody can beat them.
Every time I go I start off with masala puri(highly recommend) which has the most unique taste and a little spicy.
After that its sev puri, trust me when I say this -" never ever, ever , ever, I have tasted that kind of sev puri anywhere in india).
Dhai puri is also recommend cause its simply awesome.
And finally you must end with pani puri which is the best when he servers you one puri after another.
People must try this in the exact same order thats when you will tend to enjoy Shiva's chats.

I have been eating here from last 14-15years. Taste has been consistent through out. I love all the chats here except bhel. Now he has started South Indian food aswel. The food is decent. Better than the normal darshini's. This is a must try place for chat lovers and you have to taste all the chats. Priced little expensive when compared to others but still I would prefer this place for the taste, consistency and the quality.
Have been in the same area from past 16 years and they have come upto a really good chat center. Its comparitvely bit costly but the taste is just perfect. Evening snacks would be the best here. ❤
When I heard that the chats here are similar to what we get in Karnataka Bhel house, my curiosity elevated. The eatery is as big as KBH, and have almost the same cleanliness. But, the prices are a bit high with an extra of 3-5 bucks on the dishes comparatively.
I started with my usual masalapuri, backed up with sevpuri and panipuri. All of these lacked seasoning a bit. But, Masalapuri made me a bit sad with the addition of slightly rotten raw onions.
Sevpuri was quite sweet for me. Was drowned in sweet sauce. One perk I saw in panipuri was that the peas-masala was hot and was fun to eat. I was a bit surprised when the serving stopped at 5 puri's though.
I will still prefer KBH over this chat shop. But, its worth a visit.
Most amazing masala puri.... My trip to Hanumanthnagar is not done if I haven't had masala puri here. Loved their south indian dishes as well.

Since I haven't tried much out of their menu I wouldn't say this is my final rating. We just wanted to try an evening chats and got this outlet on Zomato. You could easily figure out this outlet as it's located on 50 Feet Road of Hanumanth Nagar just before Kaggis bakery. And also its crowded on evenings. There are few seats available inside the outlet.
FOOD: We just ordered Masal puri this time, puri used in it was crispier, they use lot of peas which is a little annoying, masale was too good. Over all really satisfying.
Meanwhile we were enjoying masal puri, lady on the opposite table bought ghee masal dose, the aroma of ghee was too good. I wanted to try it but since I didn't had time, I compromised with only Masal Puri.

As i Said earlier, I paid a visit today to taste Ghee Masal Dosa. It was just awesome. As it was weekday we got seat easily. They pour at least 100 ml of ghee on the dosa. In the final bites of Dosa you feel like you are literally drinking Ghee. Chutney supplied with it was good and blended well with the Dosa. Aloo Palya was good. Price is on bit higher side. But feels affordable if you consider Lakshmi Natraja Refreshment's ghee dosa. I'm increasing my rating from 3.5 to 4 for this delicious Dosa.

It's a small crowded place on 50ft road . Makes the best north indian snacks like masala puri, pani puri , dahi puri , bhel puri , etc . Nowadays it also serves South Indian breakfast and coffee . A good place to try , cleanliness is maintained .

In my locality, this place is your one-stop destination for chats and fast-food. Located on the 50-feet road, this joint has grown big over the years.
They are primarily known for their chats. I personally love the sev puri and masala puri here. The sev puri especially..even though its a bit spicy, the taste is awesome!
They have started a south-indian food chain now. Have tasted masala dosa and idli vada. Masala dosa is very crispy and the bajji is tasty. Vada too is very crispy and the chutney is awesome! End it with a perfect filter kaapi! :D

I have traveled all around Bangalore and believe me I m a huge street chats fan!! Shiva chats was introduced recently by a friend and boy it was mind blowing..best masala puri ever...and the whole flavour of the pani was awsum..would go again n again despite being a 20km journey fr me..

This place is like the eye candy of this area! Excellent masala puri - very flavorful and tasty. They have also started with south Indian breakfast, so they serve good steamimg hot idlis and dosas. Do give a visit to this joint when you are in Hanumanthnagar!

So ma second review for this place... Yes n this time it's for the south Indian food...I say these are the best,soft idlis I've ever tasted...The chutney is of the highest distinct quality.. The Vadas are hot,fresh crispy... Makes you wanna eat more... I'm yet to taste the dosas n kharabath... 5₹ mini coffee is totally worth it with one full glass:)...

Was situated at the Kaggis side road but now its on the main street in fifty feet road ..
Love the Masala Puri here..high quality puris .. They serve the best taste .. Bhel,aloo,sev,dahi are pretty reasonable too..
They plan to start a south Indian food section too shortly

A shining example of south-indianization of chaat in Bangalore. If you are expecting an imitation of the chaat from Chowpatty or Dilli... you will be sorely dissappointed. Food carts and stores across Bangalore have succesfully taken chaat and made it their own. The Sev Puri is legendary, but nothing like what you may find in the rest of the country. They have now moved to a slightly larger store which helps decongest during rush hours. I don't care much for the new items on the menu. Sev Puri, Dahi Puri and Pani Puri are my picks. Top it off with a Pineapple Pastry or hot badam milk in the nearby Kaggis bakery and your tummy will thank you :)

Siva's chat is very famous for their Masala puri. Why wouldn't they be, its literally mouth watering good and I cannot stop eating it. I love their bhel puri and sev puri too but when I think of Shiva chats the first thing that comes to my mind is their yummy masala puri.
I was introduced to Shiva chats by a friend of my who lived in the vicinity. Now, I travel miles just to eat there. I have introduced it to many of my friends too. Shiva chats has huge fan following, you will know when you visit them. I was shocked to see that it doesn't have many reviews here.
This place is always very crowded and on weekends it gets crazy crowded. Yet, the management does a very good job managing the crowd. I never had to wait more that 5 minutes before I get my order. I am not in Bangalore anymore and I miss them a lot. But, every time I visit Bangalore I make it a point to visit this place and eat stomach full of chats. No lunch before it and no dinner after it. :) For those who like the Bangalore style Masala Puri this is the place to head to. No matter how much you have to travel, you will not be let down. Its just great.

Went here for evening chaats. The place seemed hygienic and had a open food counter. We took bhel puri and dahi puri. The bhel puri kinda lacked flavor. But the dahi puri was a burst of flavors. It was dammm yummy. I felt the quantity was a bit less considering we paid 45 rupees for one chat
This is a great place for spicy chats. I love MasalaPuri & Panipuri here. Masala Puri is extra crunchy due to the puris used for it. Panipuri is simple; served with boiled peas, chopped onions, a glass of pani & some pooris.

An evening would be perfect with a plate of chaats, and what better way to spend it at Shivas Chats in Bengaluru. Although the crowd has decreased ever since the onset of Covid, business has been tough for them but they continue to dish out some yummy food none the less. We had the following dishes while we were at Shivas Chats.
Masala Puri is the highlight of the day. Tangy, spicy, and tasty served piping hot. The masala is nicely blended with crushed puri, fine cut onions, and some spicy chutney.
The Sev Puri was a little off balance in terms of taste as the tamarind chutney was too much in the dish. The dish was very dry as well even though you could taste the masala that was poured on it, overall I would not recommend this dish as it is not the best dish they serve here.
Finally we ended our day here with some Gobi Manchurian. The masala coated on to the cauliflowers was spot on, the use of veggies was very subtle and the taste was perfect. It is indeed a go to dish for a nice evening snack.
The parking maybe a hassle here and the waiting time was not much at all when I had visited them at around eight in the evening. You can find them at Kumaraswamy Temple Rd, near Kaggi`s Bakery, Hanumanthnagar, Banashankari Stage I, Banashankari, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560019.

This is a place I have visited for the last 18 years. It started as a small store in a street on Hanumanthanagar and now on the main road. They have the best Sev puri I have ever had. I never miss this place when I am in the vicinity. Their signature dishes are Sev puri and Masala Puri. Must try if you are in Bangalore. Their masala is unique to them and you don't get that taste elsewhere. The spicy Pani poori is a hit too. I recommend this place.
