I was shocked to see the ratings of this place here on Zomato because I've genuinely liked the place. The ambience is good for a decent family restaurant. The taste of the food is awesome. You wouldn't find a good North Indian restaurant in Bangalore but this place is an exception. It serves one of the best North Indian food in Bangalore. The rates are reasonable too. The quantity served is very less though. Overall, a good family restaurant for North Indian food in Marathahalli.
We went there in the evening and ordered chole bhature.Bhature was not up to the mark.It was soft bt taste was not that good.chole was good n little bit spicy. Ambience is good. Staffs were not responding properly.
Best place to order food, love to suggest all to visit once.price is also affordable and staff are very much friendly.i would like to gibe 10/10.
The food here is simply mast! Ordered HP3 which was really cost effective.
It had paneer, 2 types of dal, 4 phulkas, rice, chaas and jamun. Enough to make u full.
The food served here tastes like home made. The seating space is also huge. It also has a view of the marathalli road ride beside.

This is like my default place to order my food... Love their paneer thali. Food usually is delivered on time with proper packaging.
Overall quality wise its simple yet good.
We've ordered in from MK quite a few times and it never disappoints. Taste is very good, portions are satiating. Only turn off being rude behavior of the runners at times. Otherwise, it is worth the price paid
Went here for lunch..had chole bhature and a paneer combo thali..food was delicious and hot..served generous amount with good amount of butter...the gulab jamoon served hot and good size...the lassi and chaas was pretty good too..good service and pocket friendly...

Ordered for home delivery from this place "MAST KALANDAR" as heard a lot about it from cousins..
So here we go..
WHAT IS GOOD
1. Speed: 45 min delivery of HP1 meals (Halka Phulka meal combo)
2. Priced competitively @ 130/
3. Looks ideal for corporate/smart lunch
4. Gave one daal, subji, raita, 3 roti and good amount of rice and Onions
5. Quality: If you remove the name tag of MK Dabbawala (Mast Kalandar Dabbawala) you will mistake it as Home Food!!
6. So the point is VERY VERY MINIMAL Oil, Simple home made food quality with LESS SPICE & SALT.
WHAT IS NOT GOOD
1. Could have reduced rice a bit and tried to add few salad pieces(Kheera-Tomato-Carrot)
2. Small pickle packet would have helped
3. Raita quantity could be increased a bit...

Ordered the combo meal, delivered in under 45 mins on a Friday night. Plus point of this food joint is it's pure vegetarian and tastes like authentic North Indian food.
I ordered the Sinful Punjabi Paneer thaali along with, small veg biryaani, chaas and gulab jamun
Thaali: Consisted of paneer makhani, dal makhani, 2 pieces of butter naan, salad and raita. Paneer makhani was quite delicious with a hint of sweetness. Dal makhani was fine, nothing extraordinary. Naans were soft and buttery. Raita was decent
Veg Biryani: Tasted more like pulav than briyani but it was tasty, nonetheless. Cooked perfectly with a lot vegetables and mildly spicy. I liked that they had the option of ordering 250 gms of biryani instead of ordering the big one. Much more economical.
Masala Chaas: Not too watery, not too thick. It was good but wasn't cold. A bi expensive charged at 60 bucks.
Gulab Jamun: The highlight of my dinner! One piece of gulab jamun for 35 bucks is not cheap, yes, but the jamun was so delicious. Not too sweet, quite warm when delivered and so soft. My night was made! 10/10 recommend.
It really reminded me of my hometown food especially in a city like Bangalore where every dish has a South Indian taste to it. The bill amounted to about 400 bucks, which was worth it. Excellent packing and delivery service.

The place is good go for damn hungry people... The ambience is okay. I wouldn't say that it is too good. Not going to beat around the bush. The food is very good. I had been in here along with two of my friends. We had ordered "Dilliwaale Chhole Kulchhe", "Paneer Methi Chaman Maha Thali" and "Paneer Burji Thali". I must say the food was good. Every combo they serve has different variety of Indian breads. I had got Garlic Naan along with the Paneer Methi Chaman Maha Thali. They had a gulab jamun, which was literally like a cricket ball, but they were really yummy. Neither too sweet nor too hard. The right combination of sweetness and softness. A must visit place for budget minded foodies. Service could have been better. But yes it's worth every single penny you pay.

Good for Gulab Jamun. Its costly.. 65Rs -- 2 pieces. But very very tasty. Chhole bhature not so gud. (Bhature specifically) Stuffed parantha was good earlier but now its not the case.
Hungry, back from hospital, wanted to have some quick food, ordered Raj Kachori. Taste was good, probably not a dish to have home delivery. It would become soft while it reaches you. Still enjoyed the same, flavor was good.
Gulabjamoon in Rabri was just below average.
I ordered dahipuri for delivery on swiggy around 11, as soon as my order was confirmed, I got it in some 30 min. It was realllllllyyy yummyy :D
I go there for their cheap yet excellent quality food and their courteous and friendly staff... And they never disappoint. You aren't happy with certain dish, just ask them.. They're more than happy to replace it with a thing you like.. Nice place.
Had been to this outlet 4 times and this is one of my fav. North Indian restaurant.
Taste is unique and particularly i like there gulab jamun.
Food at the outlet is good. We tried cholle-batura and aloo poori dishes over the weekend at the outlet itself. It was crowded and the food took 30 minutes. For this kind of outlet, I think it's a tad bit slow. But food was good.
They ran out of onions to serve with cholle batura - which I think should be addressed.
Food is average of mast kalandar. I have always heard their parantha are good so tried but turnrd out to be bad experience. Not properly made could see half of it not even fried properly.
Never been to this place physically. Ordered food from here online. It came nicely packaged in branded boxes, which was nice for a first impression. The food quantity and taste was good. Overall felt very much satisfied for the service.
Been to this place couple of times and liked the food a lot. It is the right place to go when you are hungry and want to have home style food.
Decor is average (they should keep changing it, I have not seen any change in last one year. Its monotonous some time.) Service is prompt and good.

I don't know why this place is rated so low, they offer some good variety of North Indian food which is good in taste and also very cheap.
Food - I have tried their hp3 thali and full full briyani combo, both were will prepared and had good quantity as well. Taste was very northern and home cooked like.
Ambiance - Ambiance is very decent, nothing fancy though they have quotations written all over which is a nice feature.
Service - Service is also good. You have to pay at the counter first and then they will serve your order.
Overall a good place to have north Indian food and you get what you pay for.
The best place to be with family.... Authentic veg.... That's good.... Staff behaviour was good.... Order response is good... U order wait for 15-20 minutes at most to get food... Thalli's are the only option here but with many different combinations.... Its good appetite.... Casual dinning it's good here....

Went there for dinner with wifey. And got the feel of a Coleggie date:) I'm sure you know howthat feels. wodden tables with couches. the place has a worn down look and offcourse had seen better days. Ordered a cholle Pature and a combo that had paneer tikka. and a chach over all Rs 301. The service though polite was slow. it took them about 35 ;minutes to serve us. I'm of two minds when it comes to slow service, its acceptable if the food tastes good! And in this case it did. the chole though not authentic delhi style, were quiet good, not overrtly spiced and had a nice homely flavour to it. Though the portion size was small considering we had 3 pature to go with it, however at Rs 69 this was an awesome treat. The 2 naans and dal makhani in the combo were good, so was the Paneer tikka. The Paneer was fresh and soft, at the same time it was not over spiced, very nice flavour that dont over power the taste of fresh paneer.The rating could have been more had the service and ambience been better.Ratings out of 10. - Ambiance 5Taste 8Portion size 7Service 6
Delivery experience on 5th September = very bad had to send back old hard paneer. Therefore low on consistency.
Its one such restaurant where you get food with somewhat taste like an north indian masala wala khana. I have tried lot of things here but I treat this place more like an regular eatery for lunch/dinner. The combo offer is true value for money. Thanks for havin one such economical place in Bangalore for north indian masale wala khana.

Have always tried their Sinful Punjabi Paneer (for the paneer gravy) or Balle Balle Pindi Chole ( for the Amritsari Kulchas ) and sometimes a mix from the two. These have never dissapointed me.
The best thing served is the Raita served with almost all combos.
I dont go here for a fancy lunch or dinner, just go here so i can enjoy good punjabi food on a budget at a clean place.
I really liked this place, I went there twice during my one and a half week stay in Bangalore. The service is half like a restaurant half self service, but if you consider this, I think it is good, not intrusive, but they ask when they have to, they offer when they have to. Bravo.
The food was good both times, second time I went with one of my colleagues, he also liked. I recommend this place for those who are not looking for a fancy place to dine, but a good place to have a decent dinner!

This is the place in Bangalore if you want to have some great North Indian typical Punjabi food..As you enter in the restaurant the ambiance, the lights and the colorfulness of the restaurant makes you feel that you are in Punjab, though in Bangalore.
They have some really great Combos of North Indian food like Cholay, Paneer, Rajma, variety of paranthas and every thing is really tasty.
Even the lassi and chaas is also really tasty here..
We had full meals along with starter. Except rice items, everything was very tasty with North Indian taste. Ambiance was okay only. It was less crowded hence very less chances of having a waiting queue is there. All food items are less expensive. As it's in outer ring road hence easily noticable and easier to reach there.

I walked into Mast Kalandar for the first time today and I really liked the food. It wasn't spicy and had a homely touch to it. Its a place that you can eat at everyday and still feel you are having food at home.
The food is delicious and the place is spacious , one can have a great food at affordable price
